The Belgian party organisation
and record label De:tuned mark their 10th anniversary with the first outing
of their 10 x 12'' series. 'DE:10.01' kicks off with a special treat from the
90s golden era: on offer a welcome combination of previously unreleased DAT
material by Kirk Degiorgio and expertly affectionate As One remix treatments
of both original Sensurreal and Jedi Knights (Mark Pritchard and Tom
Middleton) work, pure bliss. The artwork of the first 9 collectable releases
of the series forms a 3 x 3 poster display. De:tuned have called on designer
Kevin Foakes (Openmind, DJ Food, Ninja Tune) to create all graphic work. This
kickstarter for the series is mastered by Matt Colton (Alchemy Mastering) and
pressed on 180 gr vinyl. A separate digital version of every release will be

Lekx, with his wife Shaunna on vocals, returns to Bordello A Parigi.
Following The Kill and From Ritual to Reason, Rude 66 delivers Resurrection;
a four tracker brimming with his trademark touch. The title piece is a
devilish vocoder incantation. Beats bite as Shaunna's thickly modulated voice
rasps through bending distortion that bears the unmistakable 66 mark. Lyrics
are sidelined for ?The Curse?. Drum and dreamscape combine in this
synthesizer spell, blackened shades blending with light tones in this heady
brew. This balance is something Lekx achieves time and again in his
productions. He once more finds this sense of equilibrium with the stained
disco darkness of ?The Sleepers?. Lurking, stalking, the track counters an
innocent playful melody with undercurrents that throb with menace. That

Glueped is the joint production
of the two Romanian artists―Melodie & Teluric. They have merged
their musical understandings into a new sound, which combines both mystical
harmonies and elemental grooves. Peren is the third vinyl featuring Glueped,
released in April 2020. This vinyl emphasizes the contemporary underground
scene vibes while offering a glimpse of the forthcoming sound of Cinetic Art

teams up with Spanish producer Architectural AKA Juan Rico for two tracks of
hypnotic machine funk 'This Is Not Purple / Rhythms & Souls' The
Catalonian-based Asturian creator combines techno classicism with a rich
strain of cinematic influences, recording as both Architectural and Reeko he
has spent his career flitting between releases built for peak-time warehouse
techno and introspective headphone psychouts. For his R&S debut, Rico
dips into science fiction as his core inspiration - A-side 'This Is Not
Purple' snakes it's way around a snappy, stripped down but hi-tech groove
that builds and builds. On the flip, 'Rhythms & Souls' amps a similarly
tight drum track with a thumping DMX snare and pistoning kick drums, laced
with seething pads and percolating percussion. Drawing on the idea of an
alternative civilization, Rico describes: "another cosmos with a
retrofuturist aesthetic where a fusion between techno and funk is
heard." Neat parallels can be drawn with Cybotron's planetary funk or
the acquatic adventures of Drexciya - however Rico manages to make the sound
his own |

[physical] REALITY [psychic] <--- TRUST to be released during the next 12
months. At the furthest edges of their idiosyncratic brand of ferocious
hardware techno, this first EP, Phase One, reveals the Vancouver duo to be
expertly out on a limb. Mirroring the explosive cut and thrust of their live
sets, their recorded output extends a metaphysical rave. Throughout, Ash Luk
and Lida P cut their cinematic melodies into a clattering rave hole,
unceasingly revising the gravitational pull in each direction. Ravebomb finds
a route of no-nonsense with its unhinged endorphin rush of surging EBM style
bass and rough-handed rhythms. It is followed up by an alternate version of
Ravebomb, the Fire Mix, which casts its elements into a heady psychoactive
cloud on a collision course with its kick drum. Glimpses of a rhythmic
waywardness coat Perfect Rendition, full of tape tics and wobble, with a push

Jamie
Roberts is no stranger to the more experimental tenets of the Techno genre,
and much of the British artist's output of late has hinted at more leftfield
leanings. A recent return to Will Bankhead's Trilogy Tapes imprint saw a
brace of meditative, post-Detroit workouts - employing the same heady,
hardware aesthetic as much of his work on Ternesc - though at a drastically
reduced tempo. It's this same willingness to break down perceptions regarding
his own music that marks Walk Type - Roberts' debut on the Avian label, as a
notable chapter in the artist's discography. In terms of aesthetic finish,
AVN027 might be Roberts' most comprehensive and well articulated ode to the
culture of machine music - but it's also his most organic offering. Corroded drones
provide the basis for much of the material, pitching & bending at will -
shifting & warping in and amongst furtive drum work, that by and large
sits uncharacteristically deep in the mix. For the most part the record
eschews traditional dance floor functionality in favour of this rich,
experimental premise |

electro funk pioneers Transparent Sound, one of the UK's longest running
electro acts. This is his solo work under his own name. Orson has been playing
some live Acid House shows at Memory Box parties and this release is the
fruit born from the live show. The A side includes the original mix which is
an acid electro crossover, plus a four to the floor mix and a beautiful
ambient strings mix. The B side sees two remixes from acclaimed producer and
Memory Box head honcho Robin Ball, who is also known for his work as
Resonators on his recently re-launched Groovepressure label. The first is
