After getting used to eclectic
sounds but always rooted in disco music, boogie with some proto-house drift,
at the stroke of a dozen reissues, Omaggio delights us with a two tracks
new-wave masterpiece, released in the mid-'80s on Color Record, seminal Flemish
label, first and only recording of the Sound On Sound project. The original
tracks "Macho" and "Depression" have been fully restored
and come courtesy of Peter Gillis. Mr. Gillis is a highly regarded artist,
sound engineer, composer and producer who has worked for some of the most
important Belgian studios as well as an absolute pioneer of the Euro House
scene, and a signatory of some of the greatest hits in this genre |

Introspection Recordings invites
into their already alluring world of deep and stripped back house for a
second look, this time with a four track VA release featuring E-dward!,
Mennie, Lorenzo Magnozzi and BCFHBH. Close Your Eyes from E-dward is a superbly
smooth and seductive deep house track with supple drums overlaid with lush,
puddle-like pads that are filled with warmth and colour. Mennie picks up the
pace with the twisted synths and molten acid gurgles of Haumea, which is a
driest but delicious house cut for the heads. Lorenzo Magnozzi opens up the
flip-side with a more peak time track thanks to its edgy stabs and militant
hi hat and drum combo. This one is filled with astral drama and sci-fi

Love Manifesto, our 3rd vinyl
only release, is Robert David's artistic expression, and an introspection in
the meaning of Love. What is love in all it's forms, how we accept or deny
it, how society can change the meaning of it and deform it. This is a very
special project in which the artist crossed over the realms of sound by
creating a painting that was done in paralel with the original tracks,
absolutely with no intention of becoming the cover of the project. But
somehow it fitted perfectly. With the Minimal and the Romanian sound being at
the root of the project, the 2 remixes from Argenis Brito and Macarie,
complete the picture and the trip in which we invite you to dive in and
hopefully enjoy the "madness" of it, as we did. Peace and Love.

Lincoln, often remembered for her seminal work with Max Roach, was a powerful
performer and indeed one of the greatest Jazz voices of all time. 'Straight
Ahead' stands as one her best albums. Lincoln is matched here by a
ultra-stellar line up including Jazz masters such as Booker Little - trumpet,
Julian Priester - trombone Eric Dolphy - alto saxophone, bass clarinet,
flute, Walter Benton and Coleman Hawkins - tenor saxophone, Mal Waldron -
piano, Art Davis - bass, Max Roach - drums, Roger Sanders and Robert Whitley
- congas. 'Straight Ahead' is the perfect combination between Lincoln 's
strong 'Afro-Blue' tone singing, conscious lyrics and angular modern Jazz
arrangements. Recorded in New York in a one-off studio session held on
February 22, 1961 and released by Candid Records in the same year, the album
includes highlights such as Oscar Brown jr's 'When Malindy Sings', Thelonious

Jerusalem-born, Tel Aviv-based producer Roy Rosenfeld has a reputation as one
of the last true leaders of the authentic club culture and this release
proves that his talents stretch even way beyond that. With a mind as
distinctive as his soul, though, Rosenfeld puts that nostalgic structure in a
globetrotting artistic framework which makes everything both familiar and
innovative. His creative ability to respond to the context according to the
circumstances is impeccable. Accordingly high are the expectations of a
producer of his caliber, but those expectations are more than met by the
groundbreaking opus found on this 40-minute material. The title track floats
on a cool Middle Eastern ambience with a sophisticated late night theme
exposing those seductive traces of piano wandering, while the sequencing
throughout the album is handled perfectly. One might think a genre only has
so much potential to be taken to new places, but Roy doesn't feel that way.
This unique release includes two guest artists - Guy J and Eli Nissan, making
this new release even more special |

Chequers began in reggae, formed by bassist John Matthias and his guitarist
brother Richard in 1973, with drummer George Young, keyboardist Paul War and
vocalist Jackie Robins. Despite the success of early single "Rudi's In

and Philly soul, thus, debut LP Check It Out had Mike Spear on congas, Andy

acoustic thumb harp and much more, all mingled and amalgated into the unique

haunted ship drifting into a foggy sinister harbour while being obsvereed by
Ligottian clown puppets. We can write how conceptual and arty this all is but
let's just say this is hardcore dark ambient with lots of medieval drone
space jazz influences to trip your mind out into a region where time and your

band than Japanese Flower Travellin' Band_ Have a look at Julian Cope
Japrocksampler cover with the band bare naked wildly ridin' on their wheels.
Is any description more appropriate_ A sense of freedom has always enhanced
their music, a heavy rock manifesto clearly informed by british stalwarts.
Their second album Satori has been released on Atlantic Japan in 1971 and
still is a masterpiece on its own. The band was made up of Joe Yamanaka
*vocals( - possibly an eastern version of Rob Tyner MC5 / Hideki Ishima
*guitars(, Jun Kobayashi *bass( and George Wada *drums(. By the end of 1970,
they had relocated to Toronto, Canada and lived there until March of 1972. In
April 1973, the band split up, but they reunited in January 2008 with all
original members joined by Nobuhiko |

The Atacama Large Millimeter /
submillimeter Array (ALMA), is the largest astronomical project in the world.
It is a revolutionary interferometer that comprises a set of 66 antennas
(also called antennas: reflectors or radio telescopes when it is a single
antenna) of seven and twelve meters in diameter, designed to observe
millimeter and sub-millimeter wavelengths. The project was built on the
Chajnantor plain, at an altitude of 5058.7 meters, in the Atacama desert in
northern Chile. ALMA Sounds is an initiative that seeks to interpret and
decode the frequencies of the Universe transforming them into sounds, so that
filmmakers from all over the world can compose, share and create a community
united by a search that has captivated humans for thousands of years. Árido

Perc Trax unleashes its first
release of 2021 with the latest in its white label remix series which has
already given us Tymon's thunderous remix of Perc's Hyperlink and the diverse
remixes of RVDE's 90s Hammer. For this instalment Perc Trax favourites Ghost
In The Machine, Scalameriya and Furfriend team up with debutant EAS and label
boss Perc for three remixes that aim directly at the dance floor. First up
Perc shows his love of working with vocals taking a firm grip of Furfriend's
infamous 'Fist Fuck' to serve up a sweaty 4/4 pounder. Next Scalameriya
moulds 'Zero', one of the highlights from Ghost In The Machines 2020 debut
album, into a showcase of sound design and raw kick drum efficiency. Lastly

Deformer
needs no introduction, but if you're somehow not familiar with the name,
you've definitely been at the wrong places the last 25+ years! Deformer has
put out some groundbreaking records. Raw, obscure, bass and blood-drenched
and with consistent quality. 2017's "Bukkakecore" is definitely one
of them. Originally made as a tribute to Deformer's Japanese fans, this
record was a big underground hit and even kickstarted a new sub-genre of the
same name. Now, brace yourself for "Bukkakecore [remixed]", a full
length release containing the original tracks, previously unreleased tracks
and remixes by top notch Japanese artists! Japanese Hardcore heroes like
Myosuke, Technorch, RedOgre, DJ Sharpnel and many others all gave their twisted
interpretation to already twisted tracks to begin with. Also turntable
magician DJ Ken-one laid down some vicious cuts. Again famous manga artist
Shintaro Kago took care of the cover art, which is considered too extreme for
social media, but obviously fits the music perfectly. Bukkakecore [remixed]

The
raves at Same Bitches have not changed much since back in March 2014 at OHM,
Berlin. Every second month on the first Saturday at noon sharp the residents
Handmade, Ron Wilson, Derek Plaslaiko, VCO and Manuela Mayoral play each a
three hour set and after everyone is through the Dj who warmed up goes into
the next round continuing the running order with the usual ending in a full
on back-to-back orgy. The occasional special guest never gets announced, it
is mainly the same bitches in charge. Inspired by the raw sound of Detroit
Techno, the crew have quickly gained underground praise over the years for
their liberal queer atmosphere and no compromise after-hour excessive
"last raver standing" attitude. Running at least 24 hours up until
even 36 hours the raves have no dull moments bringing everyone into euphoria
and exhaustion. Hard bouncy house and groovy techno with a lot of acid drive
the dancers through the day and night... and day. After seven years it has
come to the point of expanding the realm and the crew decided on releasing a

our next adventures in Bonzai vinyl, we have a fantastic three tracker
titled, Asphyx – Collection EP. Straight out of the archives of one of
Belgium’s pioneering labels; Dance Opera, Frank Struyf aka Zolex and Marco
Vanderheyden are the genius behind Asphyx. Both these guys have carved out a
solid rep over the many years they’ve been involved in the scene. Frank is
better known as Zolex among other guises and Marco goes by DJ Bubba among
others, they have collaborated on several notable tracks on Bonzai Records
and Dance Opera that kickstarted a revolution in electronic music, setting
the tone in the 90’s and shaping the sound of an era. Housed on a compact
10inch vinyl in a classic Dance Opera artwork, which is inspired by the
Atomium in Brussels, this special edition cut will have a limited run of just

The first Electronic Emergencies
release of 2021 is by Chris & Nogi, founders of the legendary Shoc
Corridor. It reflects our love for minimal wave, simply called new wave back
in the days. Released as a 10-inch, 'Autumn Rituals and Refugees' consists of
eight tracks taken from 4-track-cassette tapes recorded in 1985-1988. Three
of these are collaborations with avant-garde voice artist Sharon Gal. The
original tapes, which had to endure a journey from London via Israel to South
Africa, were beautifully restored by Ruud Lekx, who was able to retain the
original sound and atmosphere. The cover art of 'Autumn Rituals and Refugees'
was designed by Niels Vrijdag, exhibiting the DIY-mentality and modern
living-fantasy of the music from the eighties |

collective reinterpretation that takes the murky, hidden depths of the album
to new rhythmic dimensions. Philipp Otterbach starts off the A-side with a spellbinding
composition for the thoughtful, dissolving Pineal Gland into an ethereal
cluster of solemn melodies and vocals. Annechoic's take on Apathy Eats You
Alive delves into the melodic side of the track, polishing it for the dance
floor. Poperttelli draws out T-Maze from dark introspection to beats that
waver between a glitch and a heartbeat, with the feeling of having been
resuscitated. The B-Side sees Ayaz putting words to a 180-degree spin on Food
of the Gods with hallucinogenic dynamism: a grimy tale of facing the

Computer' is the newest set of future-gazing grooves from Periodica Records
and label partner Raffaele "Whodamanny" Arcella rescuing and
restoring forgotten tape compositions from a legendary Italian pop producer
using the pseudonym Nico Mecca. Produced during the years 1979-1985 using
cutting edge home recording techniques and the latest synthesizer. The
productions across the works are incredibly forward-thinking for that time
with inspirations and track titles refering to hypermodern tech and a
proto-cyberpunk soundworld and progressive rock and experimental electronic
music that features novel combinations of mediterranean boogie, robotic funk,
sci-fi balearic, hypnagogic pop and astrotribal jazz. The discovery of the
'Floppy Computer' project is dictated by destiny and a strong cosmic
interference as not only were these tracks produced by Mecca during his 30s,
they were discovered 30 years later by Raffaele Whodamanny, who is also in
his 30s-- facts that give the project a mystical and numerological
significance, since this number and age represent a divine midpoint between
youthful enthusiasm and the wisdom of experience. Amazing record with both

Siriusmo has finally found the time and courage to sit down and complete the
project. It's about time? An artist who has been around for about a decade,
released a dozen Singles and EPs on various Berlin based record labels and
remixed names like Scissor Sisters, Gossip, Chikinki, Simian Mobile Disco,
Boys Noize, Digitalism, Chromeo, A-Trak, Munk and many others should finally
release his debut album you say? We agree! Siriusmo, who grew up with Stevie
Wonder, The Beatles and Hip Hop, played organ in a 70s inspired Band, is active
as a graffiti artist, ghost-painter and illustrator. “Mosaik” reflects all
the different aspects of his personality and strongly shows his interest in
various art forms and various kinds of music. For Moritz the sound of
Siriusmo should be futuristic. Not like our current understanding of the
future, more like the future was painted in the 70s: exaggerated,

Aquarius Heaven is the next guest
to appear on the ever so inspiring Bunte Kuh label. ‚Take It Easy‘ comes
packed with four stellar selections; two original works from the German, as
well as two remixes from Clement Kassianov and Pattern Drama. The title track
eases you into this one, with filtered kicks paving the way for poetic vocals
and melodies that climb upwards in energy and a stature. Clement Kassianov
then offers his interpretation, bringing together tribal percussion that work
effortlessly alongside the hook of “Take It Easy”, coming and going across
the duration. Over to the B Side and Aquarius is back on the original works
with ‘Backstage of the Backstage’ - a faster paced and darker cut with
haunting synth pads that open the room for an equally eerie muffled vocal.

"Celebrity
clouds" is compiled of four songs, which have been produced and recorded
in 2018. It's an online collaboration of Alexandre Kordzaia (kordz) and
Natalie Beridze. These two came up with the concept of the record
uneventfully, after recording their first track "Celebrity clouds".
Beridze's lyrics came out completely irrelevant to Kordz's music, that
adopted a flair of humor and sarcasm to it. After that, they decided to stick
the line of weird lyrics on top of synth, piano and ambiance recordings,
played live by kordz. Musical ideas belong to kordz. Beridze would complete
the tracks, adding few instruments (or none, in some cases), wrote lyrics and
recorded vocals. The artwork of the vinyl, made by Georgian artist Thea Djordjadze,
resembles the concept of the music nonetheless. As though having nothing to
do with neither celebrities, nor their clouds, it shows the sadness and the
beauty of half-molten candle. Alexandre Kordzaia aka kordz is a Georgian
composer. After moving to Switzerland at a young age, he professionally
studied piano and drums, audio design and recording acoustic music. shortly
after he started producing electronic music |

Jiska
Huizing and Rudi Valdersnes have again joined forces for their second
collaboration on Ideophone Records. They continue on the paths they defined
on their first release “Drum & Trails”, producing genre-defying club
music that contains hypnotic rhythms and flirts with the electroacoustic. The
second release, “IDE002”, has a more refined and developed sonic signature
that is instantly recognizable. Mixing analog percussion and found sounds,
the record meanders through ambient terrains that agitate the body into
movement with precise rhythmic punctures and interjections. The result is a
live recorded album both for ears, feet and mind. IDE002 is a playful record
with witty turns. Every track contains pulsing rhythms coming from Valdernes’
homemade percussion instruments and drum machines together with luring,
curious sounds from Huizing’s field recordings, mixed with samples of her
electric violin and voice. The record shows that these artists are serious
about their aim to make layered club music that does not want to make you
forget but aims to remind you of curious, interesting places and pushes you
to really listen to them |
