Driving
electro tracks by Detroit Grand Pubahs and UR member Bileebob. Comes with a
solid acid infused Derek Plaslaiko remix. "Bileebob was living in the
lofts at 1217 Griswold when I first met him, this is one of the seminal
places that the post Music Institute Detroit scene grew out of. People who
lived there performed or threw parties in their lofts for rent money, other
people living at 1217 included Buzz Goree, the founders of Paxahau, De3n
System. Bileebob's an amazing and unique part of the Detroit scene, having
created music and art for years, performing locally and internationally as a
member of the Detroit Grand Pubahs and UR, releasing on Underground
Resistance, and had a regular zine for so many years. When he sent us the
promo for "Star Cross" from his personal Bandcamp page, we loved
it, and for the second No Way Back stream both BMG & Derek ended up
playing it. We just loved the song, so we asked him if we could give it the
full release, and we had Derek Plaslaiko remix it. We've included an
unreleased amazing tough electro mix of "Network", a song currently
on his Bandcamp page. Digitally we've included another more raw mix of
"Network" and an after the after party 1217 kind of comedown jam "Club
Kid Up All Night"." |

Lindenberg
Support is the man behind 'Ode To Gallantry', a complex and emotional tale of
mistaken identity, trust and honor. The story begins with the beggar Shi Po
Tian, aka the Bastard, stealing a bun which contains the Black Iron Token,
created by skilled pugilist Xie Yanke, which grants the holder one wish.
'C20/25' and its pounding and pacy rhythmics, carrying pads and heavy hitting
vibe, perfectly set the journey's energetic and warm tone. Xie appears
yearly, demanding that the clans repay in blood for any heinous act they
committed throughout the year. The only way that a rude clan can avoid the
cull is for the clan's leader to sacrifice himself for them. With 'SKS (101)'
and its soothing and floating pads carrying the gentle lo-fi drums, the story
heats up and evolves to a deeper intricacy. Fearing that Bastard might make
him promise to stop his annual harvest of death, Xie spirits him away and
trains him in martial arts so powerful that he is certain it will kill him,
but instead, it makes him strong and resilient. The uplifting pads in 'Gate',
supported by a reckless broken beat and pinging vocals, create a celestial
vibe that pushes Bastard to his limits. He is rescued by the Chang Lo Clan
that mistakes him for their villainous leader Shi Zhongyu and then treats him
as their boss. With each case of mistaken identity, he becomes drawn into a
number of heated conflicts between several rival schools and gangs - a
dilemma that he just isn't prepared to deal with. The dreamy ambiance of
'Kinda Weak' and its well-wrought drum pattern slowly shroud the memories of
his old life. The final point is set with 'Pol-1 (For Stefan)' - an emotive
and profound ambient piece to close the story. He's sure to learn some
valuable lessons about brotherhood and honor, but at what price? |

The
next release in CUE Music's catalogue sees Butane teaming up once more with
Riko Forinson for "Brainstorm" EP alongside Nima Gorji on remix
duties. The record definitely adds extra magic to the label's discography,
lining up to the previous releases from Elchinsoul, Sascha Dive, Sascha
Sonido, Danilo Schneider, Dubphone, Heerd and label head Sven Jaeger, among
many many others. A firm believer that the long hours of studio work keep a
musician grounded, Butane boasts an impressive discography, released by some
of the most highly regarded labels in the business, such as Crosstown Rebels,
Sci+Tec, Hottrax, Fuse Records, Lauter and Get Physical. As a label owner,
he's the founder of three influential underground dance music imprints of his
own, Alphahouse, Little Helpers and Extrasketch. Riko Forinson is an Italian
artist passionate about the sound of drums and piano which he studied
intensively from an early age. After a while of exploring the acoustic
dimensions of music, he immersed himself in the world of digital electronica,
performing as a DJ at various events and releasing with labels like Orpheus
Recordings, Lucidflow, Dushe Label and Bar 25 Music. Nowadays he's an author,
composer and producer who loves to play with various techniques while
integrating jazz, reggae or classical aspects into his compositions or sets.
In charge of the reinterpretation of the title track, Ibiza-based Nima Gorji
is well-known on the international scene, with a career that spans more than
three decades. In 1999 he founded Welt Recordings followed by NG Trax and
Need For Sound, relentlessly following his passion for electronic music by
releasing numerous personal works as well as promoting other artists. His
rich discography includes materials published through labels like Sci+Tec,
Deeperfect, Fuse London, Bondage Music, Out Of Orbit, Love Letters From Oslo,
Indigo Raw, Out Of Orbit, Cocoon, Murmur, Natural Rhythm, Bla Bla Records,

Gulliver',
the latest Condor Gruppe album, is a nod to yet another spiritual journey in
the band's ever-evolving saga. Released 23rd September via the
groove-obsessed Sdban Ultra, the Antwerp-based nine-piece ensemble take you
on a hypnotic trip, paying tribute to obscure Italian 70s film soundtracks,
krautrock and psychedelic grooves. Fuse the melancholy of Pink Floyd, the
heroism of Ennio Morricone and the world grooves of GOAT and you get an idea
of what Condor Gruppe is. Always looking to push musical boundaries, Condor
Gruppe rely on the adventurous use of their instruments and their intriguing
musical patter. Melancholic, exotic, surreal, the band's sound is enriched by
instruments including the handpan, Jew's harp, darbouka and tanpura. Diverse sounds,
rhythms and melodies build, exciting the listener whilst always remaining
familiar. From the thunderous, spacious prog rock sounds of 'What Could Have
Been', to the loose, laidback grooves of the mystical 'Farid' and groovy
'Rhymes On Our Mind', 'Gulliver' is a soundtrack for visits to far-flung
places and a mesmerizing trip through the band's own record shelves. Condor
Gruppe released their debut album 'Latituds del Cavall' in 2014 with nine
exotica fuelled songs that echo the sound of an intoxicated ride through the
desert. This was followed up in 2016 with 'FROG BOG - A Tribute to Moondog' -
an adaptation of the work of the legendary composer and outsider. Containing
six Moondog interpertations, trumpet player Dirk Timmermans, saxophonist Matti
Willems and baritone saxophonist Hanne De Backer joined the five original
members of Condor Gruppe, with the results a spectacular mix between
Moondog's jazzy compositions and Condor Gruppe's dreamy instrumental sound.
Second album proper 'Interplanetary Travels' (2018) - a nostalgic,
melancholic soundtrack - saw the introduction of the Anoushka Shankar-trained
Nicolas Mortelmans on sitar. The title hinting at Sun Ra is no coincidence.
Condor Gruppe recorded 8 songs that give you the creepy feel of a horror
scene, the heroism of the best film scores and the hypnotizing grooves of
jungle tribes. At this year's Ghent Film Festival, Condor Gruppe performed a
live version of the score for the dark, hypnotic, surreal, erotic vampire
film 'Daughters of Darkness' (1971), directed by Belgian cult director Harry
Kümel. The score was originally recorded by François de Roubaix, a
self-taught musician and jazz enthusiast, and he composed almost a hundred
soundtracks, mostly for French films. In 1976, he won a César for best
soundtrack with his work on 'Le Vieux Fusil' - awarded posthumously as de
Roubaix had passed away just the year before. De Roubaix has always been a
great source of inspiration for Condor Gruppe, so they were only too happy to
sink their teeth into his scintillating score |

transmission. A lengthy one this time, since On Boolean Plains is the debut
album of this Belgium production unit. Station master of Far Out Radio
Systems is the Genk based producer Thomas Neyens, who keeps a cinemascope
view on electronic music and has previously released on the SoHaSo- label as
Kiani & His Legion. On Boolean Plains takes you back to the IDM hey days
of labels like Warp and Skam, back when the Artificial Intelligence-series
got praise from electronic music lovers around the globe. Neyens manages to
reshape that magic and make it his own, thanks to more than a handful of
intricate melodies and the occasional distorted beat. Edgy electronic dance
music about a world in distress. It will bring you both comfort and concern.
The title track is a melancholic Bola-esque affair, with beautiful gloomy
strings, eerie breakbeats and enough space to hide yourself in. But you will
also find beautiful ambient bliss ('Beta Ceti'), bleepy techno with a firm
nod to Plastikman ('Queen of the Streets') and soothing percussive house ('Do
We Have a Cosmic Connection'), a track that will lure you to that sweet spot
on the dancefloor. While Neyens knows his classics, On Boolean Plains is not
a retro album. Far from. It's both a personal leap from what was to what will
be AND an imprint of current affairs. Hence titles like 'Theme For The
Lockdown' and 'Tears in Code'. Far Out Radio Systems truly lives up to it's

Porcelain
id makes their debut on Unday Records with an impressive acoustic EP. A year
after Porcelain id first emerged with the DIY EP Mango, the Rwandan artist
releases Reprise, a stripped-down retelling of that debut. While Mango was a
concept EP about queerness, police brutality and identity, Reprise is an
intimate and poetic state of affairs, inspired by the drastic changes of the
past year. The lo-fi sound has been replaced by breathtaking minimalism.
Porcelain id plays new versions of Blauw, Montana, No Denim and Muschel that
match the intensity and intimacy of their impressive live shows. Recordings
for the EP were made in one day with Nicolas Rombouts, except for Blauw and
Vlaanderen, for which James de Graef from Shht played keys during a second
session. The EP also includes a brand new song: Vlaanderen. The gospel song,
sung in Porcelain id's local Flemish dialect, is a tragically beautiful ode
to the misfortune of things and was written on the night in which their son
was born. An overwhelming moment that reminded the artist of their own
childhood and the struggles that came with it as a black and queer person.
Vlaanderen is perhaps their most personal song to date, and live it has
already touched many listeners. Porcelain id is the pseudonym under which
Hubert Tuyishime (23, they/them) has been releasing idiosyncratic songs since
2020. The Rwandan artist operating from Antwerp immediately managed to adopt
an unmistakable, recognizable style, characterized by their raw, emotional
voice. Hubert switches smoothly between Dutch and English and distinguishes
themselves with hyper-personal lyrics about identity, gender and racism and a
unique musicality influenced by Dan Bejar (Destroyer), Bon Iver and Daniel
Johnston. In two years time, Porcelain id has become one of the most
interesting emerging talents in Flanders, opening for Meskerem Mees, Sylvie
Kreusch and Roland Van Campenhout, winning Sound Track and building an
impressive live reputation |

Egyptian
artist Hassan Abou Alam debuts on Nehza Records. On Ice, the producer and DJ
delivers a 4-track collection of unusual textures that glide through multiple
soundscapes, including techno, breaks, bass and unclassifiable noise. The
opener "Shmoolaire" starts with a skittery drum pattern before
descending into a squelchy bassline while squeaky vocal clips snake through
the track. It's weird, wonky and the perfect dancefloor curveball. Dominated
by massive drums, the title track blends a sultry vocal with bleepy
percussion, conjuring a sticky atmosphere. Things get spooky on "Hollow
In C#" as Hassan pairs a voice saturated in reverb with chugging drums
and eerie pads. Freaky but fierce. The closing track "Lost In A Jar Of Thyme"
ends on a distinct note. A warbling bassline slithers throughout the track as
siren-like sound FX and hyperactive drums evoke tension. A true artist
aligned with the vibe of Nehza Records. Hassan Abou Alam has spent the last
decade exploring several sound palettes and genres, from breaks to techno to
bass. Today, his curiosity is unwavering. Hassan produces music with a hybrid
setup of analog and digital instruments, conveying organised but compelling

Austrian born artist Alpha Tracks will be kicking off the very first release
of slash with 2 original tracks and remixes from Format (aka Orlando Voorn)
and slash founder KI/KI. Previous releases on BPitch, Blue Hour and Morbid
were already a showcase of pure craftsmanship by Alpha Tracks, now on slash
he's showing his consistency yet again, delivering high quality as always.
With a love for analog hardware sound, the producer turns fast paced bangers,
with a bit of imagination, into beautiful subtle techno ballads. Always with
their own story to tell, while never losing his focus on the drive and ready
to bring audiences around the globe into a trance. Orlando Voorn's alias
Format keeps the energy high with but smooths out the ride for the remix of
the original, where bumpy synths bubble and echo, keeping you interested
until the very last second. Remixing the last track is label owner KI/KI
unleashing her first music into the world. Her remix are inspired by '90s
rave memories which she never got to experience. Creating a completely
