first artist doesn't need introduction, Alex Arnout, for those still do not
know this iconic music selector from U.K., he started his DJ career in Spain,
and in the humble surroundings of many a local bar. The nineties were spent
learning the basic skills so often lacking in today's break-through 'DJs'.
Eventually catching the ear of someone that mattered, Arnout began playing
more familiar outposts like DC:10 and Pin Up in Ibiza, Dance Valley in
Amsterdam and CircoLoco in London, for whom he has been resident for the last
few years. This is just the beginning of more than 20 years of history.
Higher Orbit is his last work, an EP including three original tracks, 'What I
Mean', 'Aabstrkt Mind' and the main hit 'Higher Orbit' also remixed by the
head-honcho of the imprint U Z Z V |

Bristol
don Nicky Soft Touch makes his eagerly awaited return with the follow up to
his last TIN release, Lonely City Sampler. Set for release almost exactly one
year on, Lonely City Cuts sees Soft Touch continue in his deft explorations
of sampling, chopping and rearranging beats using cuts from helter skelter
and sidewinder tapes. Much like his previous release, as well as the
self-released projects he's shared in the meantime, the LP is centred around
a DIY aesthetic, making intimacy and introspection two of its defining
features. Conceived during a stint living in London, the series is imbued
with a sense of place. Delivered via raw production techniques, voice
recordings and off-kilter, broken garage beats, this positions the release
amongst the moody, urban landscapes which provide the backdrop for Burial and
Actress' music. On Volume One, this sounds like narling basslines that
ricochet around swung percussion, and plaintive ambience that immerses you in
its shadowy worlds. On Volume Two, like hip hop interludes, deep house
grooves and hyper referential skit |

Introducing Time Is Now's newest
recruit, a link up that felt inevitable. A Bristol native, Borai has had a
firm foot in the city's bass scene since its inception, his steadfast
dedication to rave culture helping to shape what it is today. When he's not curating
his own Higher Level label, helping steer the Club Glow collective, or
cutting dubplates for Dubstudio, he's exercising his passion for hardware,
crafting vital DJ tools which span an impressive crosssection of the hardcore
continuum. Naturally EP is a culmination of these endeavours, as well as his
far-spanning influences. We're transported out of Bristol and into late 80's
Chicago - the golden era of garage house - via soulful vocals, nebulous
melodies and saxophone whispers. It wouldn't be a Borai release, though,

protege Border One. A staple figure of the respected Voltage Festival in his
own country, Border One's raw, insistent sound has seen him release on Key
Vinyl, Form & Function, and his own self-titled imprint whilst also
featuring on DVS1's revered fabric mix. On the Restless EP however he hits
his stride, steadily building intensity through restrained repetition and
droning, hypnotic sound design on the opening pairing of "Crude".

Formed in the biker hotspot of
San Bernadino, east of Los Angeles, Alkana centred on the voice and lyrics of
future Warlord frontman, Jack Rucker, and the guitar pyrotechnics of Danny
Alkana, who drew heavily from the style of Boston's Tom Scholz and Deep
Purple's Richie Blackmore, bassist Craig Williams and drummer Donny
McLaughlin keeping the rhythms fast and furious. 'California Rock n Roll
Queen' and psych epic 'The Tower' have the kind of Golden State rock majesty
of Van Halen or Journey, and there are shades of Granmax, Asia and Judas

Inspiration
comes in many forms; the city in which we live, the culture from countries
across the globe and our love for TV, film and books.This rings true for FFF
as a move from his home of Vlissingen in 98 to Rotterdam, combined with his
love for UK sounds and comic books created a unique, outward-looking
perspective. The DJ, producer and long term party thrower now turns in a
record for Low Battery; so come and see for yourself. Opening track 'In Toom'
launches a satellite straight into deep space, picking up transmissions from
an unknown source. The track deploys alien electronics and other-worldly
vocal snippets, building a curious and ghostly atmosphere. Bass lures heavy
around the mid-way point creating an increasing sense of unease, as unidentifiable
objects head straight for earth. The aptly titled 'Desperately Seeking
Summer' is a giant leap toward the good times ahead. You can sense its energy
in the air; the smell of freshly cut grass, the charcoal from a newly lit BBQ
and the coastal breeze on a warm summer's day. Summer is almost here and we
could all do with a serotonin boosting elixir. The B-side opens with 'Voices'
as candy-floss vocals topped with xtra sugar taste even better with every
play; while ascending basslines and frenetic drums join hands to produce that
FFF energy we all know and love. 'Full of Light' provides tranquility at the
end of a wild ride, as shimmering synths shine with radiant bliss with the
power to transcend "bathed in light and lifted in what I can only call
another dimension. |

lockdown time, we've got another Bourassa release. Smolny, who recently
debuted with the song 'Secret' on the PLUR vol.4 compilation for Lobster
Theremin, returns to his label this time with the 'Magic Stories' of 4
beautiful rave tracks from the 90s. The A side offers two wonderful classic

Ghost celebrates 25 years as a DJ with the aptly titled, XXV on Bonzai
Records. For such a momentous occasion we’ve went ahead and captured this
milestone for one of our longstanding family members on to 12” vinyl. DJ
Ghost aka Bjorn Wendelen is an extremely popular Belgian artist and is a
driving force behind several very successful projects such as Armani &
Ghost and many others including with Laurent Veronnez and Yves Deruyter on
Body-Shock, Tijs Verwest aka Tiesto on the Bonzai Jumps project TB X-Press,
Yuri Wesseling on Medicine Men and Malik Boudari on the Bonzai Trance
Progressive group Dream System. More recently, he’s teamed up with Jan
Vervloet on another vinyl adventure titled Damn Hot. He’s also a firm
favourite at the popular Bonzai parties where he brings his sizzling and
energetic DJ performances to the floor for the crowd. Congratulations DJ
Ghost, here’s to many more years. Opening the release on the A side, we have
the Original Mix which wastes no time in getting down to business with a
blistering, invasive groove filled with pounding beats and powerful bassline.
Scathing synths dominate the groove before fading out on the short break
which is lined with softer tones and underlying tension, before bursting back
into full-on mode for the duration. On the flip, Bossta returns to Bonzai on
remix duties, following on from his last effort – I Can Hear You, on our main
label Bonzai Progressive. Sticking with his own tried and tested production
methods, Bossta does not disappoint here, delivering a solid progressive
rework of the original. Chugging basses and tight beats stack up alongside
melodic arps and tough stabs. The essence of the original creeps into the
break which sets the pace for the final act. Concluding the B side, we
welcome the legend that is CJ Bolland back to Bonzai with his Polterspook
Mix. A celebrated artist who has inspired a generation of electronic music
lovers, CJ Bolland is the epitome of our scene. Here, he dishes out one of
his very own masterclasses, setting the tone with huge kick drums against a
backdrop of chilling FX. Sharp hats slice through the bass-laden kicks as an

"M4 is a tune that I wrote
back in 2017 when I was living in Bristol. At the time I was really into
writing melodic pieces and messing around with as many synths as possible. I
decided to add some heavy bass to this one cinematic organ progression and
laid down some basic drums over the top and called it a day really. I think I
sent it out to a couple people (one being Mala) and forgot about it. Another
few years went by and the tune has changed a bit to stay in line with my
current production style arriving at the version that's set to be released.
Abacus was just an all out bass experiment that I never thought would see the
light of day and Dusty really shows off the more melodic style of my
productions. After hearing these tunes played on big systems for so long I'm
really happy that everyone can now finally get their hands on a copy."

Hadone's
nine-track LP shares a first glimpse of his immersive 'Things We Never Did'
concept. November 2022 sees the inception of not only Hadone's first ever
feature LP but also his artistically driven and expansive label project
'Things We Never Did'. Marking the first release on the imprint, 'What I Was
Running From' spans nine individually unique records, including a special
collaboration with friend and fellow French producer Askkin. One of the
standout breaks tracks on the LP, it was the first track they made together.
A culmination of all things influential in modern underground techno,
blending 4x4 raw techno tracks with more spirited melodic pieces, Hadone's
debut LP is a telling celebration of several immersive sub-genres combined
with his renowned sonic despondency. The result: a careful balance of richly
electronic emotional cuts and racy industrialised techno with a gritty
minimalist feel. "Not only the music is destined to evolve, but the
whole environment that goes with it will be rethought on a recurring
basis" adds Jeremy. Title track 'What I Was Running From' was made after
he finally found inspiration after the pandemic and was written in an hour.
"I think my best tracks are made fast, as they don't reply in any intention
but feelings only, therefore they are natural and reflect my true style"
adds Jeremy. Its fast paced bassline and jittery stabs, give the track a
choppy break beat influenced vibe opening the album with true intent. 'What I
Was Running from' offers a transcendental eye through the looking glass at a
project that incorporates music, a digital interactive universe, a fashion
collaboration with precocious Parisian footwear brand Phileo. A creative
collaboration which has resulted in a limited collection of 2 styles,
available on both TWND's digital universe and Phileo direct. For the 1st year designs, graphism by
Raphael Clerget "leverages the power of art to underline the importance
of saving our relation to time and improve focus." Raphael brings his
vision of complexity and darkness through refined aesthetics carried out for

Away Records are proud to present our latest release Keep Holding On / You're
The Best by Savoir-Flair. Dallas, Texas in 1982, during the hot summer months
Roger Boykin, John Miller and Cassandra Wright were working as session
musicians at Precision Audio studios. They were put together to create
soundtracks, jingles and idents for US TV commercials and, in what spare
studio time the three of them had, would experiment with the studio equipment
at their disposal - writing and developing what would become the Savoir-Flair
sound. In these secret, after-hours sessions the three would create a
staggeringly good private press 80s modern soul album. A flawless collection
of tracks with every one of them hitting hard. It would be released on
Roger's own label SoulTex Records with the group touring locally. Alas
though, this was to be their only album as Savoir-Flair disbanded a year
later. The impact this album had however can still be felt today with the 45
and LP becoming highly sought after amongst modern soul collectors around the
world |

record label "NECHTO" created by Nastia unveils EP by R.M.K - a new
alias of London's electronic music producer, DJ, and Fossil Archive label
head Rob Kirkaldy, also known as Roberto. The record demonstrates a faster
and more intense take on the artist's original sound. With a focus on the
very core auditory aesthetics of raves, the tracks also incorporate a
hypnotic groove element of groove. The EP comprises a thundering bass at
higher tempos, whilst preserving a soul within the music itself. "The
intention was to make a well-balanced EP aimed at the dancefloor, whilst
showcasing a range of sounds that provide enough versatility to keep the
listener interested throughout", says the artist on his debut release
under the R.M.K alias. Apart from launching his own techno label Fossil
Archive, Rob Kirkaldy has established himself as a notable figure both as a
techno producer and a masterful DJ. His long-lasting dedication to electronic
music has brought him to the world's most renowned club culture
establishments, including London's Fabric, Berlin's Tresor and Berghain, and

never settles for anything mediocre, as is proven with this new outstanding

Although
they existed for only a year, the Highspeed V made enough of a mark on
Stockholm's pioneering neo-garage scene for their name and music to live on
several decades later. Along with the Livingstones and the Wylde Mammoths the
Highspeed V were a local econd wave' outfit, forming in the Spring 1986 as a
combination of experienced players and newcomers to the garage punk circuit.
Bass-player/vocalist Jens Lindberg and harmonica cat Henrik Orrje both came
from the notorious Crimson Shadows, a first-wave group whose story and
recordings can be found on a recent Groovie Records sampler. Crimson' (as
they were known locally) folded in March '86 after two outstanding 45s and a
series of alcohol-fuelled concerts, the last of which ended with a band member
getting beaten up by the police. To us young fans, Crimson's falling apart
seemed a serious blow to the whole scene, but we were happy to soon learn
otherwise. During the preceding year the Stockholm underground had spawned
numerous young moptops who lived by Pebbles anthems and Back From The Grave
3-chord grunge, and who patterned their look on Sunset Strip '66 rather than
the familiar British mod style. In such a thriving milieu the split-up of the
great Crimson Shadows became a mere bump in the road, as new bands and new
horizons emerged. This LP brings all the HIGHSPEED V recordings along with

The

Drought", originally recorded in November 2005, where the band goes
toward dirtier and rawer sounds. Limited edition of 500 copies. Here's the
reissue of the impressive second album by Kill Devil Hills, where the band
continues in the direction of their first work, "Heathen Songs",
but adding dirtier nuances and rock. If in the first album we talked about
Nick Cave and Hugo Race as mentionable influences, in this second one we can
easily add THE BEASTS OF BOURBON to the list of influences on their sound,
when listening to some of the rawest songs of it. This gang of animals from
Perth, Australia, take their swampy folk-blues and take it to a new world of
more extreme and wild sounds where melodies and violins create a wall of
sound that involuntarily forces you to stand and listen. After their
successful tours of Australia and America, THE KILL DEVIL HILLS released this
album in which they showed you that they were not "the next big
thing", they were really a great band with overwhelming live shows. A
key band and a pillar of the new emerging and ardent scene that has once
