Tube Alloys have made a type of
record that is in short supply these days. A record that is untethered to
prevailing musical trends, punk or otherwise, in either their native Los
Angeles or further afield. It's in keeping with a tradition, sure, one pioneered
by bands like Wire, Swell Maps and This Heat, who sought to combine the
vitality of punk music with an omnivorous ear for the avant-garde. But Tube
Alloys honour this tradition with their disinterest in nostalgia and their
ability to cast an irreverent eye towards our present and - crucially - our

For
more than thirty years, Ruud Lekx has been corrupting hearts and minds with
his unmistakable brand of synthesizer music. Under his Rude 66 mask, this
titan of electronics returns to Bordello A Parigi with twelve darkened tracks
for Conditioning Consciousness. Tempos glide low in the opening incantations.
From the breathy murmurings of ?Magick Angels? Invocations?, the listener is
brought into Rude?s world. Shauna Lekx?s signature vocoder lyrics and
blackened subject matter are central tenets, as are hauntingly delicate
melodies. ?The Riddler In Me? is a deep psychological journey through cable
and circuit, an unsettling monologue accompanied by liquid analogue lines.
BPMs are allowed to rise for the shimmering warmth of ?In Exile? and in the
reverb soaked ?The Chariot?. But these are the outliers. Across the
collection, percussion drives without ever being a central force. Instead,
the focus is the bewitching and brooding compositions. Take the drugged low
slung groove of ?The Talisman of Algol? or the loose modulations of ?Le
Sagittaire?, here the listener is brought into the heart of the machines and
the musician. The curtain close, ?The Five Swords Of Venus In Aquarius?
gathers a spread of influences, bringing them together into one piece. Synth.
Soundtrack. Strings. All culminate in this superb climax, a climax to an
album that broaches the boundaries between terrifying and terrific |

For
Frenzy's 5th installment, we'll take the fusion of the past and the present
even further. We present you a 6-track EP by Swedish DJ and producer 'The
Miller', who was amongst the Nordic wave of early 2000s techno pioneers like
Cari Lekebusch, Adam Beyer, and Joel Mull. Coming from an era where rave and
nightlife escapism were blooming, The Miller possesses a vast backlog of
old-school productions that embody the true Frenzy sound. We invited him to
compile an EP with old and new material, accompanied by remixes from the
up-and-coming generation to truly intertwine generations of dancefloor
exquisiteness. Allow yourself to surpass the linear alignment of time within
the next collision of decades on Frenzy 005. It's time to dance. Starting out
slow but steady on the A side, 'Kartong' gradually builds up the pressure
with a playful mix of reversed phrases and thoughtful alignment of pitch
levels. Tension transforms into motion as 'Apex' kicks in with big airy
basslines and exotic drum elements that keep the early-day spirit alive. To
complete the A-side, Stuttgart-based Rove Ranger presents a dub-influenced
remix of Apex, accelerating the 00s story straight into the next decade. On
the flip side, we go back to the old days as 'Complied' grabs hold of hips
and minds with catchy repetition and a straightforward bassline. The Miller
got us spellbound as 'Gate' follows up with a stripped-down steamy groover.
To end the journey in full force, a powerful remix of Gate by the Greek-based
ANNE is delivered, converting stripped down into the contrary for those
big-room dancefloor moments |

deliver the album Midnightlife Crisis. Hopping between genres whilst
remaining resolutely coherent, the twelve-track double LP is a showcase of
the Rat Life boss' many influences. From the driving, mesmeric techno of
Music Is A Spiritual Thing to the sci-fi electro on Bouncing Bell and Love

October
2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the release of David Bowie’s classic
collection of cover songs, PIN UPS, originally released 19th October 1973 - a
mere six months after the legendary ALADDIN SANE and three months after the
infamous final Ziggy Stardust show at Hammersmith Odeon, where he put the
Ziggy persona to rest along with The Spiders From Mars. On 20th October 2023,
one day after its Golden Jubilee PIN UPS will be issued as a limited edition
50th anniversary half-speed mastered LP. This new pressing of PIN UPS was cut
on a customised late Neumann VMS80 lathe with fully recapped electronics from
192kHz restored masters of the original master tapes, with no additional
processing on transfer. John Webber cut the half-speed at AIR Studios.
Recorded at Château d’Hérouville in France, where Bowie would later return to
record the masterpiece LOW, PIN UPS was a collection of cover songs paying
tribute to bands and artists that had inspired him and that he had seen at
clubs such as The Marquee in London in the mid to late 60s. Artists he
covered for the album included The Yardbirds, The Kinks, Pink Floyd, The Who,
Pretty Things, The Easybeats and more |

The
mighty Falsetto voice of Mr Cornell Campbell is another we believe, unsung
hero of the Jamaican music scene. Who in our opinion should have broke
through to a wider audience, than his cult status currently provides. We have
unearthed straight from the master tapes an album that was due for release
around the mid 70’s. A few of these cuts, found their way out on limited 7”s,
that were mainly for the domestic Jamaican market. But as a complete body of
work, never found a release until now. We hope like us, once you have played
the tracks, you will feel that this set of cuts, stands up amongst Cornell’s
finest work. Cornell Campbell (born 1948, Jamaica), made his first recordings
in the early 1960’s for Coxone Dodd at Studio 1. Tracks like ‘Under the Old
Oak Tree’, ‘My Treasure’ and later as a duo with Roy Patton ‘Salvation’ and
‘Sweetest Girl’, were local hits on the Jamaican Sound Systems. A short spell
with the Uniques was followed by his roll as lead vocalist with the Eternals,
under the monicker of Don Cornell. Their finest moment being the classic
‘Stars / Queen of the Minstrels’ cuts which still stand up today as some of
Jamaica’s finest. The 1970’s saw Mr Campbell move on to work with producer
Bunny ‘Striker’ Lee, for whom he cut most of his big tunes. He and fellow
singer Johnny Clarke, would become Bunny’s 70’s equivalent to his 1960’s
stable of singers like Slim Smith, Pat Kelly and Ernest Wilson. They would
provide the voice to his many hits of the day. Bunny not being called
‘Striker’ for nothing. Cornell also had a series of hits around his theme as
the ‘Gorgon’. The mighty figure unbeatable at the dances in the Greenwich
Town district of Kingston. ‘The Gorgon’, ‘The Conquering Gorgon’. ‘Natty
Dread in a Greenwich Farm’. These were all firm favourites at the dances in
Jamaica. He also worked with other notable producers around this time.
Winston ‘Niney’ Holness “I Heart is Clean’, Tappa Zukie ‘Follow Instruction’
and culminating in a massive hit ‘Boxing’ in 1979 for producer Joe Gibbs. But
it was his time with Bunny Lee that set the levels for his record output.

Astral
Projection were pioneers on the Goatrance scene and have been storming the
dancefloors for more than 20 years with their uplifting melodic and hypnotic
music signature! Now we are delighted to announce; their EP "Let There
Be Light" with 2 new tracks of the masters and remixes by Filteria and
Morphic Resonance; repressed on vinyl. First you can hear Astral's rework of
the sublime "Filtertraces" track by Filteria. Giving it their so
special spiraling recipe, Avi and Lior gave it a trippy and panoramic touch!
Second Filteria returns the favor with his own version of the fantastic
"Let There Be Light" track by Astral Projection. The production
upgrade and filteria-esque melodies do wonders to the goatrance anthem and on
the dancefloors where it's played! Then, Morphic Resonance, shows the full
extent of his skills as he embarks you on a sci-fi rollercoaster ride with

This
EP is 6 unreleased tracks in the Thomas Brinkmann celebrated Max Ernst series
of 12", all with female names, released with names ordered
alphabetically. Starting with. 1. Anna Beate, the series ran for 12 releases
over the 2 years from 1998 to 2000. 2. Clara Doris 3. Erika Frauke 4. Gisela
Heidi 5. Inge Jutta 6. Karin Lotte 7. Monika Nikola 8. Olga Petra 9. Susie
Trixi 10. Ulla Vera 11. Wanda Xenia 12. Yvette Zara, followed. There was
never an ep with Q and R. Number 9 is Susie and Trixie. The tapes were lost.
But have come to light nearly 25 years later. So now, here is Q/R; Quila 1-3
and Romy 1-3. What we have here are the original tracks as intended for
release, with some minor editing and rearranging for release now. The
original series was very successful. The first 3 12", released at the
same time were a sensation on release. Suddenly, Thomas Brinkmann was the
name to check. Today, these Quila/Romy tracks may well have the same impact
as the other tracks in the series had when they were released. There is still
nothing that sounds like this music. It seems to be an example of a perfect
melding of soul and machine. 25 five years later... a annniversary of sorts,
offered up by the machines |

After more than
20 years of studio work, it can be said that this album is the result of long
hours of introspection and solitude. The inquisitive, investigative and
analytical listening of the earliest works of artists such as Robert John
Brown & Sean Booth, Mike Paradinas or Jochem George Paap influenced me a
lot during the execution of this EP. The deconstruction or deconstructive
process was something I needed to explore and put into practice, giving as a
result naked periplos or sound spaces, in which the protagonism belongs
solely and exclusively to sounds or textures that for my part deserved a
thorough review and analysis, making these periplos a challenge in
themselves, giving way to resulting works where the rhythmic section was in
the background or simply disappeared. In relation to the cover design, thanks
to Julian Schnabel and T?fol Cruz for the inspiration and the final artwork

that were included as bonus tracks on the Gherkin Jerks compilation CD from a
few years ago are now up for their release on vinyl. All originate from the
same Gherkin sessions as Mr. Heard's two outstanding late 80's EP's but were
never released as such. The moniker showed a different side to his sonic
pallet, and would innovate the acid sound to great FX, influencing a great
many of artists in the decades that followed. Psychotic Fantasy eventually
made its way to the Dance 2000 Pt. 2 album, while the original full take of
Ecstasy and Reznaytor never saw the light of the day. Now for the first time
on wax and still sounding as futuristic as ever! |

in a while an artist will come along that carves out a sonic aesthetic so
distinctive it takes just a few bars of a record to know it’s one of theirs.
Miguel Migs is undoubtedly one of these artists, with the Californian
producer’s catalogue of deeply soulful house demonstrating his adept
knowledge of atmospheric, dimensional and creative soundscapes. Now he
delivers new album ‘Shaping Visions’ on Soulfuric Deep, his first LP since
‘Dim Division’ on Soul Heaven Records/Defected in 2014. Produced during the
height of lockdown, the intimate connection between the listener and the 13
tracks on the album reflects a laid back and deeply emotive side of Migs’
repertoire. From the mellow groove of opening track ‘Midnight Memories’, to
the seductive soulfulness of ‘Mood Lights’, and the laid back, driving feel
of ‘Chasing Time’, this collection of mid-tempo gems showcases Migs’
distinctive style at its very best. With an emphasis on quality, song-driven

Robert
Hood's techno and Femi Kuti's Afrobeat intertwine in a new form where
jazz-grooves reign supreme. For the fourth season of La Compagnie des Indes
& Sourdoreille "Variations" live series of creations for France
TV, the duo were united around the singer and producer James Brown,
performing a tribute to the legendary Godfather of Soul who passed away in
2006. This "Variations" album is the live recording of this unique
collaboration and performance, capturing a very special moment in time. The
evening witnessed a meeting of two icons in their own genres: one with synths
and drum machines, the other on saxophone: Robert Hood and Femi Kuti embody
excellence in their respective fields and the pair combined to make something
truly unique, soulful, funky and spontaneous. Recorded in one 30+ minute
take, "Variations" is embellished by Femi's exquisitely
free-flowing yet restrained saxophone, whilst Hood anchors the groove with
layers of pads and kicks with the long-time mastery of a true DJ. Alongside
Jeff Mills and Mad Mike, Hood is one of the original members of Detroit
techno group Underground Resistance. His style is characterised by minimalist
and experimental tones with an assertive groove. Throughout the '90s, he
helped pave the way for techno to flourish - giving birth to minimal techno
with his seminal album "Minimal Nation". Since then, he has been
consistently forwarding electronic music culture with ground-breaking
productions, sensational performances and his M-Plant label. Alongside him,
Femi Kuti takes on every musical style with his saxophone, which he plays
with a virtuoso touch: pop, soul, electronic music and Afrobeat, of which he
is one of the leading exponents. The son of Afrobeat singer and political
activist Fela Kuti, he has inherited his father's zeal for both music and
activism, where he continues to highlight the plight of most Nigerians living
conditions in the oil rich state. With "Variations" the duo capture
an explosive combination on a special night in Paris 4 years ago, 27 November
2019, filmed at the ADP Group headquarters (Paris Aéroport - Charles de
Gaulle (CDG) - Roissy). "It is so amazing when a vision comes to
fruition. I enjoyed collaborating with the legendary Femi Kuti for this

All those years experience of broken beats have inevitably led to the release
of this brilliant GUACH001 The label first vinyl offering is a compilation
album that offers a perfect summation of its essence and quality. The record
opens with a sure-fire hit by the legendary Rasco, who, together with Bubble
Couple, has created Old Groove. Featuring piano and the kind of baselines to
stick in the memory and make your hair stand on end, it's a track that many
of you have been waiting to get hold of in vinyl format. The trip continues
in the hands of Suga 7, who offers a true taste of the Canary Islands on his
classy track Hideaway, a sheer delight with the high tempos and playful
basses so beloved of the Islanders. We then move on to the B-side, which
features an absolute gem of a sound by the duo Mutantbreakz. A musically
elaborate track with quality touches and passages of guitar, piano and
vocals, it grabs you right from the start of a sonic trip that will prepare
you for the final denouement Raverman brings things to a close with the epic
Sayonora and a slice of acid electro-trance. This striking ending rounds off
