later become Loyce e os Gnomos, a cult band featured on the compilation Brazilian

60s Brazil. The reissue includes an insert with liner notes and a previously
unseen photo of the band. This release is a collaboration between Discos

of 2020. Fast forward to 2023 and they are back with a totally out of control
12" of modern fuckwave. The A side is seven new songs of their trademark
dadaist electronic punk, full of fuzz guitars and sharp nasty beats, with a
vocalist that fits perfectly the Honey Bane - Chitose vocal range and smart
attitude. The B side brings bang back to life the 8 tracks from their
criminally obscure debut EP, which will make any lover of ear-damaging noise

The Beatles' final From Us To You
special was recorded at the BBC Paris Studio on July 17th and broadcast on
August 3rd, 1964. The nineteen-minute set they played was only a little
shorter than their standard on the road live set during 1964. This 33rpm EP
contains eight of the ten songs transmitted and offers a fascinating
comparison with George Martin's EMI productions. The arrangements are almost
identical but on this recording, you can hear the individual guitars much
more prominently than on the released versions |

Welcome to ‘Instrumental Dubs
#2’, a deep dive into the world of the Dub version and beyond. The A side has
a distinct boogie feel, starting slow with a George Kerr produced cut from
1984 followed by a Brit Funk-esq instrumental from Harold Melvin & the
Bluenotes originally released on the Philly World label (home to ‘Voice of
Q’). The B side closes with the ‘Sweeter’ instrumental mix of Boogie bomb
‘Loving Sweet Devotion’ by Idiater Edwards. The B side opens with ‘H2S04’
from Mad Professor that defies categorisation, sitting somewhere between
Electro, Disco and Dub. Last but by no means least there’s an uptempo Dub mix
of Original Rockers ‘Push Push’ making its first appearance on Vinyl having
only been on the CD single release first time around |

A
bass rumble seems to rearrange your organs like a spiritual doctor, fast
techno kicks and a funky as hell percussion line emerge - it's the lucky 13th
release on Lisbon's Para?so, this time by local mainstays Shcuro and Vil -
the first, label co-founder, the second a longtime friend and impeccable DJ
with a range that runs from dubstep to the hardest strains of techno and
beyond. The opener track 'Rumble The Funk' evolves with infectious stabs and
cut-up vocal and our legs can't seem to stand still. The groove continues on
with the A2 'Recoil', a soulful, dubby, relentless ode to techno that feels
authentic and purposeful. Emotional tones find their way in via a mysterious,
melodic string, introduced in the breakdown. Dubbed out motifs, delay + feedback
strokes make a welcome return on the appropriately titled 'Chime Dub' that
opens the B side of the record: skippy rhythmic layers and a warm bassline
complete the picture, string flourishes give us glimpses of radiant
dancefloor revelations. On the B2 the duo's opener track gets the remix
treatment by another exciting duo: Blasha & Allatt, who are the women
behind the iconic queer techno raves Meat Free. They flip the original's
melody into a rapid, dreamy affair, conveying an optimism that perfectly
wraps up this solid record by continuing the celebration of collaborative
work |

Let's
rewind back to 1990 and the early beginnings of the techno scene, forthcoming
techno legend Damon Wild's descends upon Brooklyn, New York. Upon arrival
Damon forges an alliance with Frankie Bones and Adam. He joins the team at
Groove and ran the mail order department for their recently opened ''Groove
Records Shop''. Quickly moving into music production, Damon presents a slew
of releases under different aliases; building his name quickly on the still
developing global techno circuit. Simultaneously, he activates the cult
classic label ''Experimental Records'' which goes on to release many rising
techno stars over the following years. In 1994 Damon launches Synewave
Records, this time with a focus on a freshly innovative, stripped down
jacking-hypnotic techno. The label goes on to play a big and memorable part
in techno history, influencing the many generations to come. Fast forward to
the present, Damon goes full circle to his beginnings with Sonic Groove
(formerly the Groove Records Shop) and records a thought provocative, cutting
edge album for his old friend and label owner Adam X. With an eye always
focused on sound innovation, Damon's latest album ''Pleasure Builder'' is a
masterpiece of sound design, expanding his take on a genre he helped create

unique, personal collection that is both euphoric and melancholic, UK
electronic artpop outfit Hot Chip provide the perfect antidote to these
strange and uncertain times with the latest release in the hugely popular
LateNightTales artist-curated series. Along with featuring new music from the
band, they have selected music from some of the most engaging artists of the
21st century, taking in pulsating electronic rhythms, hypnotic grooves and
leftfield ambience. Spearheaded by founders Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard,
Hot Chip are one of the UK’s most interesting and much-loved acts. Since
releasing their debut album ‘Coming On Strong’ in 2004, they have received a
Grammy Award nomination (‘Ready for the Floor’) and Mercury Prize nomination
(‘The Warning’) and their seventh studio album, last year’s ‘A Bath Full of
Ecstasy,’ received rave reviews across the globe from both critics and fans.
Hot Chip’s ‘LateNightTales’ opens with the simplistic beauty of Christina
Vantzou’s ‘At Dawn,’ before morphing in to the first of four exclusive tracks
from the band - the floating, transcendent ‘Nothing’s Changed’, before Rhythm
& Sound ft. Cornell Campbell serve up the heavy dub classic, ‘King In My
Empire’. The journey continues with Pale Blue’s ‘Have You Passed Through This
Night’, a silky, cold wave disco track, while Suzanne Kraft’s ‘Femme Cosmic’
and Fever Ray’s ‘To The Moon and Back’ provide squelchy synth-pop.
Furthermore, the punchy ‘Much To Touch’ from Bolton-born, Berlin based
producer Planningtorock and an ethereal cover of Velvet Underground’s ‘Candy
Says’ by our hosts add an element of displacement and detachment. Elsewhere,
other highlights include an appearance from synth-pop auteur Kaitlyn Aurelia
Smith with ‘Who I Am & Why I Am Where’ and new material from Alexis’
‘other’ band, the improv-mavens About Group, along with the adventurous
‘Workaround Two’ from electronic experimentalist Beatrice Dillon and German
composer, Nils Frahm’s beautifully evocative ‘Ode’. But it is left to Alexis’
father to have the final word, with an elegant excerpt from the daring
‘Finnegans Wake’ by James Joyce. The LateNightTales series was established
back in 2001 with Fila Brazilia taking to the controls and mixing up the
first of what would continue to be the first choice of music connoisseurs

Far
Out Recordings proudly presents the new album from Brazilian guitarist and
composer Fabiano do Nascimento: Mundo Solo. Recorded at his home studio in
Los Angeles (2020) the album is fundamentally the sound of a man alone with
his instruments. Utilizing a variety of guitars, including 6, 7 and 10
strings, Oktav guitar and electric baritone guitar, alongside a host of
pedals and synthesizers, Fabiano tracked imagined landscapes with expressive,
expansive improvisations, which tend toward the more ambient and atmospheric
reaches of his recent output. Adopting Hermeto Pascoal’s concept of Universal
Music, a rejection of nationalistic tendencies in order to express all of
one’s musical influences all at once, Fabiano avoided leaning too heavily on
any particular musical language, without denying his own musical roots. After
studying classical piano as a child, the Rio de Janeiro native discovered the
guitar aged 10. Studying under his late uncle, Lucio Nascimento, he
eventually left Brazil for LA, where he soon became an in-demand player for
his distinct and authentic sound. He has since released seven albums under
his own name and collaborated with renowned Brazilian artists including
Arthur Verocai and Airto Moreira, as well as experimental US saxophonist Sam
Gendel. Mundo Solo (Do Nascimento’s eighth), was recorded in one take per
track, with occasional overdubs and a few appearances from collaborators and
friends Julien Canthelm (drums on Etude 1), Ajurinã Zwarg, (percussion on
CPMV) and Gabe Noel (Bass on Curumim). Fabiano Do Nascimento’s consummate
mastery of his instrument has afforded him a freedom of expression few can
claim. Blending the emotional with the elemental, Mundo Solo is a stunning
snapshot of solitude and the beauty which can blossom within it |

Backbone. Backbone is a Portuguese producer who has been turning heads with
his driving style of techno with trippy sounds and fast-paced rhythms. He has
previously featured on labels such as Ed Davenport's Counterchange and
Nastia's NECHTO Records. Contempo is a record label that Luigi Madonna has
set up to express the underground side of his tastes, and along with his own

The
Gamelatron is many things; one could call it a sculpture, a multimodal
installation, an instrument, a robot, a feat of engineering, a vision—and it
is all of these things. More importantly, though, it is a concept sustained
by Aaron Taylor Kuffner, aka Zemi17, whose Gamelatrons are “sound producing
kinetic sculptures” designed to create an immersive, visceral experience for
the listener. Not a small feat, and yet the ambitions of Zemi17 are
absolutely realized in this long-standing project, culminating now in his
third release for The Bunker NY: Gamelatron Bidadari. The Gamelatron Bidadari
is not just a name—it is one of seventy-plus musical sculptures that Zemi17
has conceptualized, designed, and fabricated. Therefore, it would be
inaccurate to think of this release as simply a series of arrangements
composed in a finite period of time. Rather, it’s a window into a project and
a process that is much larger than any single album can encapsulate.
Gamelatron Bidardi is the culmination of more than a decade of work, and is
central to Zemi17’s evolution, not only as a musician but as an artist.
Having studied gamelan for many years in Indonesian villages and at the
Institut Seni Indonesia in Yogyakarta, Kuffner is a musician, an artist,
technologist, and craftsman. The gongs in his sculptures are co-created with
master Indonesian artisans. Each Gamelatron composition is site-responsive,
meaning its sounds are composed for the acoustics and intentions of the space
it inhabits, whether it’s an art gallery, a wooded landscape, or the inner
temple of Burning Man. The Gamelatron does not stand alone: it is in constant
co-creation with its physical environment, and in dialogue with gamelan’s
long-standing history. Originally exhibited at the Smithsonian Renwick as
part of a show entitled, No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man, the
Gamelatron Bidadari produces sounds that are delicate yet strong, and deeply
hypnotic. Textured chiming creates intricate polyrhythmic patterns that are
both complex and simple, or in a word, elegant. On Gamelan Bidadari, Zemi17
refrains from adhering to the strict musical structures; his approach to
composition is free flowing. He says, “I want to evoke what the music tells
me it has to offer. It is like following water to its conclusion (or
non-conclusion).” The arrangements on this album, written by Zemi17 and
performed by the robotic arms of the Gamelatron, leaves the listener feeling
enchanted, nourished and enriched. A sense of the mystical comes through in
the tonal quality of the instrument, and is conceptually felt in the
sculpture’s name: the Bidadari, which loosely translates to “forest nymph.”
The music conjures up natural wonder, and the four sculptures that make up
the Gamelatron Bidadari, in fact, resemble trees. They are four independent
yet connected entities, each with a large gong situated at their structural
base—the sonic “roots” of the sculpture—while smaller gongs branch off of a
golden, trunk-like spine. The Gamelatron Bidadari is as physically stunning
as it is mesmerizing to the ear. A kind of divinity is invoked through its
sound, or a sacred cohesion between past and present, tradition and new form.
Meant to be viscerally experienced, the sounds of the Gamelatron call for
sublime togetherness. Gamelatron Bidadari is not just an album but the
crystallization of Kuffner’s work; it is a condensed yet spacious glimpse
into the sonic power of Zemi17’s Gamelatrons, which have already been heard
and experienced live by over a million people |

a busy international DJ, this was nothing short of armageddon for Vadim. The
skies were darkened, but rather than sink into inactivity and hibernation, DJ
Vadim created within himself his own tropical music festival, an alternative
