"Hautsi
da anphora" (Xoxoa - Elkar 1980) se publicó tras el boom de la llamada
"canción política". Eran tiempos de reestructuración, una época
baja en la música vasca. El disco recibió las mayores alabanzas de la
crítica, mientras resultaba excéntrico en el contexto de la canción en
euskera. Con textos de Bernardo Atxaga, este primer disco es de la época en
la que el cantante y el escritor vivían en Bilbao y es testimonio de una
cierta poética. En cuanto a la elección de músicos, inicia lo que sería una
constante: aunar músicos de la máxima calidad procedentes de sitios
diferentes (Angel Celada,...). Este su primer disco tuvo una influencia muy
relevante en todo el mundo de la canción vasca pues reflejaba un nuevo
movimiento musical que estaba cobrando fuerza internacionalmente y, sobre
todo, porque conjugaba de un modo elegante a la vez que excitante, la fuerza
de la poesía contemporánea (Bernardo Atxaga) con el pop-rock de la más alta
calidad. Ruper Ordorika sigue en activo erigido sobre aquellos primeros
intuitivos criterios de máxima calidad y máxima entrega, quizás esta es la
razón por la cual se le considere entre los creadores vascos más relevantes
de nuestra escena. Junto con esta merecida reedición en soporte vinilo de aquella
sorprendente y original obra, pensamos que también rendimos un homenaje a

"Theremonial"
es el primer disco producido en España en el que el theremin es el único
instrumento empleado y muy probablemente el primero a nivel mundial en el que
este aparato asume todos los roles musicales (percusión, bajo, armonía,
melodía, ruido etc). Por mucho que cueste creerlo al escucharlo no se ha
utilizado ningún sampler, ni ningún otro recurso sonoro aparte del propio
theremin, en ocasiones sonando limpio y sin ningún tratamiento sonoro y en
otras filtrado a través de pedales de efectos. "Theremonial" es un
disco solo de theremin pero no un disco de theremin solo, no es un disco
solista sino un auténtico caleidoscopio de sonidos que destaca por la
singularidad de tener como única fuente sonora este instrumento. Nota importante>
no se ha empleado ninguna herramienta de corrección de tono (pitch correct),
contradice la lógica y el espíritu, tanto del proyecto como del propio
instrumento, el theremin y su complicada afinación suena tal cual se ha
tocado, para bien y para mal. La mayor parte de los temas han sido compuestos
y grabados de noche. Han sido muchas madrugadas abstraído de la realidad,
rastreando la inspiración en el infinito de notas que es capaz de reproducir
este cacharro. De alguna manera extra;a cada tema me ha hecho revivir
sensaciones pasadas o recordar lugares más o menos evocadores. De ahí tanto
título geográfico o connotativo. No era algo premeditado |

Metqal
Qinawi, nacido en 1929, conocido también con diferentes nombres artísticos
como Met-qal, Metaqal Kinawi Metaqal, Metaqal Rebab Ensemble, Metkaal Kenawe
o Awlad Metqal, desarrolló una intensa carrera artística basada en recuperar
la tradición folclórica de la zona sur de Egipto. Rescatando toda la
tradición de Said, región meridional, el área alrededor de Luxor, Qena y
Assuit, Metqal fue criado en las costumbres de los Fellahin (agricultores
portadores y difusores de las tradiciones más ancestrales de Egipto) divulgó
a nivel nacional el Rebaba, instrumento de origen beduino, una especie de
violín, hecho con cáscara de coco, madera, piel de animal y con dos o tres
cuerdas y tocado con pelos de caballo. La temática, normalmente basada en
visiones bucólicas, campesinas y temas amorosos, sirvieron para que desde los
nueve a;os sus composiciones fueran recibidas de forma entusiasta y
establecerse en El Cairo donde obtuvo gran éxito, siendo reclamado sobre todo
en celebraciones como bodas. Sus numerosas grabaciones, diseminadas y
rescatadas en los 70's y 80's en múltiples cassettes, convirtieron a Metqal
en una referencia clave en la música egipcia llevándole actuar en Paris,
donde no sólo fue bien recibido por la comunidad egipcia, sino por toda la prensa
cultural. Su obra es tan prolífica como la enorme descendencia que tuvo, 25
hijos en nueve diferentes matrimonios. Ahora el sello Akenaton presenta para
occidente a una leyenda que dejó el espíritu de el Said listo para ser
bailado con los movimientos de las caderas |

BED is a new band founded in
Berlin, at its core, a queer musical project with a sound rooted in shoegaze,
dream pop and postpunk. Their lyrics are sad and sexual, weaving together
threads of both vulnerability and desire, producing a body of work that challenges
normative creative expression. This is exemplified in the vocalizations,
which are intentionally gender ambiguous, representing a fluid identity
throughout the album. There is a coming-of-age quality to BEDs compositions,
a sense of reaching a certain age in life, losing a second virginity across
their musical practice, the regaining of innocence and the caring of the
wounds of adulthood. There are also narrative aspects that catch the

This album contains the contents
of The 13th Floor Elevators' recording sessions for Contact Records in early
1966. On January 3rd 1966, the band taped both sides of their debut 45
'You're Gonna Miss Me' c/w 'Tried To Hide', which Contact released on January
17th. That same month the (on the 27th) The Elevators were busted for
possession of marijuana, and fearing that Texas' draconian drug laws could
imperil the band-s future, they felt the need to document their unique,
garage-infused brand of early psychedelia as a means to document their very
existence - at the time, possession of marijuana could result in a prison
sentence of 2-10 years. These recordings were, therefore, meant to be the
band's debut LP, which Tommy Hall titled 'Headstone'. The primal magic the
band were able to conjure is already in evidence, - all of which would
re-recorded for their debut LP proper 'The Psychedelic Sounds Of The 13th
Floor Elevators' later that same year |

This
collection of unreleased gems from prog legends Genesis focuses on their 1974
concept album The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, the last album to feature Peter
Gabriel and a truly epic affair. A rock opera that told the tale of
protagonist Rael - a young New York gang member - and his spiritual
awakening. When the album moved into the live arena the band had an elaborate
stage show and Gabriel played the lead character, amongst others. Featured on
this album are classics such as 'The Carpet Crawlers' whose central motif
"you've got in to get out" has resonated with fans in the years
since its release. The dark themes of 'Anyway' are accompanied by some of the
heaviest moments in the band's career. A perfect snapshot of Genesis during
what some consider to their most ambitious period. The tour itself wasn't a
huge financial success at the time - poor ticket sales in France saw the last
leg cancelled and debts of in excess of L200,000 (no small amount in the mid
70s) incurred, but they remain among the prog squad's most legendary gigs to
this day |

Originally
released on Mon 22 August 2005, the Furries’ third and final album to be
recorded by Epic Records, Love Kraft is to be reissued on double vinyl, 2CDs,
including the 22-track bonus CD, Kiss Me With Apocalypse and digital formats
on Fri 24 October 2025 via the Cardiff-based independent label, Strangetown
Records. Four previously unheard tracks are drawn from the vaults, including
the squidgy ELO-stomp of drummer, Daf Ieuan-led Rock ‘N’ Roll Flu, plus the
distorted space-jam of Cae Marw, the band’s deep-bass sketch of Palo Alto and
ghostly, percussive morsel of Bedw Arian. The album followed six previous
albums by the band, including their statement debut album, Fuzzy Logic in
1996, melding an attention-demanding mix of literary, narcotic and musical
influences. Maintaining a shape that was ill-fitting in the jigsaw of other
90’s guitar bands, their follow-up, UK Top Ten album, Radiator brought the
hooky squelch of the bona fide indie dancefloor classic, The International
Language of Screaming. The next decade saw the release of the first Top
20-charting, Welsh language album, Mwng (2000), followed by further
experimentation and commercial success with Rings Around The World (2001) and
Phantom Power (2003). Love Kraft’s sense of cohesion, collaboration and
free-flow of rich harmony has been credited to the five-piece escaping Wales
to record in the shimmering heat of Figueres, Catalunya. Bringing famed
Beastie Boys producer, Mario Caldato Jr along with them for the ride, the
travelling band’s stay in the Catalonian hometown of Salvador Dali included
found sounds, boozy petrol stations, gastronomic revelations and, finally, a
rich album of strings, synths and opulent vocal harmonies. While eventually
finding their way to Baha, near to Rio di Janeiro to mix the album Love
Kraft’s story began in Wales and Pleasure Foxxx Studios, where the band began
to craft the album’s songs. Embracing the landmark of a seventh album,
notably coming after the 2004 release of their first ‘best of…’ package, Songbook:
The Singles, Vol. 1, Super Furry Animals pooled ideas and affected further
democracy in their songwriting, taking a load off traditional lead-writer and
front man, Gruff Rhys, and sharing in lead vocal duties (aside from the
microphone-averse bassist, Guto Pryce). Love Kraft was the first Super Furry
Animals album recorded to hard disc instead of multi-track tape, and found
the band typically explorative and open to happenstance. Zoom’s opening
splash into the recording studio’s swimming pool is accompanied by the
on-location, pool table samples found elsewhere on the album. Updated
packaging features the original, meticulously built diorama design by
long-time collaborator Pete Fowler. Constructed by hand in his studio,
complete with bulb-lit illumination, then photographed, the sleeve’s
depiction of a monolith-rich desert landscape reflects the sense of other
space and time depicted by Love Kraft’s woozy songs. The final sleeve design

The
Cramps waited four years after their top-notch A Date with Elvis before
releasing their next studio album. The result is, unfortunately, one of the
weakest platters in their canon. Most all the songs here follow the same
rockabilly-based formula of previous releases; unfortunately, much of the
group's usual fire is missing. Too many of the selections (such as
"Daisys Up Your Butterfly," "Everything Goes," "All
Women Are Bad," and a cover of "Muleskinner Blues") are cast
in a moderate jogging tempo, and the instrumental playing shows minimal
song-to-song contrast, lacking the manic craziness of their best work. Lux
Interior's vocals are comparatively reserved (though there are some
exceptions, such as the snarling cover of "Shortnin' Bread") and
are often somewhat submerged in the sound mix. Lyrics, too, are a bit tame by
Cramps standards, the major exception being "Mama Oo Pow Pow,"
which has gleefully tacky verses about spanking and discipline that rival
their most tasteless. "God Damned Rock 'N' Roll" is, for all
practical purposes, a middling parody of Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock and
Roll." The biggest surprise is the atypically soaring vocal on the
better-than-average song "Journey to the Center of a Girl." |

Debuting
UK-US experimental black metal trio Qasu join Phantom Limb for inaugural
album A Bleak King Cometh, a crushing and terrifying self-described “ancient
future black metal” that swallows elements of blackened psychedelia,
occultist techno, and tripped-out sound design. Formed by members of
“somewhat known” existing acts, Qasu hit an immediate and confident stride of
finessed songwriting on their debut release. Its riffs are cataclysmic,
whether agonisingly slow or razor sharp; its blastbeats are breakneck, meaty;
its vocals howled with tortuous passions; its mythology crafted with
narrative totality. Their own description - “ancient future black metal” - is
apt. Qasu’s world is one of witch-burning, human sacrifice, heretical ritual,
and arcane animism, but also of alien landing, paleofuturist sci fi, sequence
codes, and stargates. Vocalist and electronics programmer Rahsaan Sagan
propels the music into terraformed outer worlds with beat production and
gauzy synthesis, but brutal blastbeats performed by drummer Nikhil Talwalkar
(aka teen death metal prodigy Anal Stabwound) root it firmly back on earth.
Likewise its title. “I don’t think we need to explain who the “Bleak King”
is,” writes instrumentalist and songwriter Aldous Daniken, “but we have found
ourselves in a dark time in human history.” In knowing pursuit of the
subversion of black metal tropes Qasu employ queasy and disorientating loops
of moaning synthesis, autotuned vocals, new wave synths, techno kick drum,
field recordings, taiko drumming, and pulsing 808 beats while psychoactive
substance drips from the walls throughout. Taking their name from a dream in
which Aldous Daniken met a “destructive, powerful, but ultimately protective
ghost,” Qasu work remotely, with Daniken collecting contributions from Sagan
and Talwalkar to complete in his own studio. Daniken and Sagan are based in
the UK, Talwalkar in New York. A Bleak King Cometh is their debut release |

of your choice. Jochem Paap's first solo album in over 20 years is a
freewheeling, 20-track testament to his decades-deep studio skill and sonic

and feed into a bigger artistic body of work than the temporary shelf-life of
a single release. As is natural for any artist, his perspective shifted over
time and he found himself drawn back to the idea of an album, realising he
connected best with longer releases while he was on a walk, out for a run or
generally in transit one way or another. With an endearing call back to the
humble Walkman, he selected an hour and a half of material created during
studio sessions at the beginning of 2025, perfectly sized to fit on two
45-minute sides of a cassette tape. As has long been the case for his studio
practice, there were no fixed intentions when sitting down in the STOOR lab
to start making noise -- just a wealth of experience and an expansive set of
tools to start exploring with. From hours of jams Paap pulled together standout
moments and moulded them into a mixtape-like narrative ranging from
two-minute beat nuggets to full-tilt techno workouts and immersive ambient
drops. Every sound is intentional, but the overall delivery is instinctive
and curious, showing multiple new dimensions to Paap's sound and offering
unpredictability at every turn. 'Arp Amp Chasm' opens the album up in a thick
blanket of humming, harmonic waves with an electric emotional charge, while
'Ctrssalms17 (Cold Render)' journeys through evocative blooms of melancholic,
gritty pads and rugged, half-submerged tech funk. 'Modern Birds (Origin
Edit)' reaches skywards with grand sweeps of dynamic, brilliantly rendered
synthesis. From the dexterous drum science of 'Drift Vector' to 'Osc Hop
(Slow Collapse)'s lurching, beatless swamp of synths, on Walkman even the
briefest snapshots leave an impression that lasts beyond the quick-scan cycle
of the modern music experience. With his return to the album format, Paap's
message is clear --put your headphones on, get outside and lose yourself in
the sound of an artist constantly committed to moving forwards |

and explores the past, present, and future of techno. Planet X label head and
20-year scene veteran Exos, hailing from Iceland, draws on his native
country's influences in his work, which explores the interplay between light
and dark, warmth and cold. His high-octane sounds over the last 20 years have
appeared on vital imprints like Tresor, X/OZ, and, of course, Mutual Rytm,
with his releases for the label having been extremely well received,
garnering support from the scene's key DJs. Whether dubby or hard, his techno
is always authentic and channels the purity of the 90s style. This new album
follows Exos's inaugural X-Release, the Infrared 10", the Icebreaker 12"
from last year, and his track on the latest Federation of Rytm IV
compilation. It's a real journey through all facets of his sound, including a
trip back to his dub techno roots, ambient explorations, and emotional vocal
pieces with lifelong memories fused into sounds that reflect the artist's
decades spent in Iceland. 'Sweet Dreams' opens with an atmospheric intro in
the form of a 28-year-old collaboration with his father. This full-bodied
analogue ambient piece is rich with the mysterious tones of the Nord Modular
and was recorded during their shared studio days at D17 in Reykjavik. The
title track is a hypnotic, linear groove with icy synth modulations and
glistening melodies. 'Hinn Vioforli' then brings dub warmth while 'State of
Mind' recalls the spirit of the legendary Reykjavik club 'Thomsen', a
cornerstone of Iceland's late 90s underground scene. 'Glaour Og Reifur' and
'Fogur Er Hlioin'pay homage to the echoes of ancient Viking heritage, 'North
of January' conveys the cold of Exos's homeland, and 'Hvarvetna' brings
textured percussion and darker undertones before '101 After Dark' slows to a
bass-heavy broken beat exploration of texture and post-dubstep pressure.
After the heady and atmospheric sound of 'The Dolphin Oracle', another key
collaboration comes with 'Freefall', an emotional breakbeat piece featuring
vocalist Amelia Rodriguez,' who also lends her voice to 'Shock', a
magnificent track that channels Exos's modern techno energy. The album closes
with a haunting paradox, 'Paradise Lost,' questioning whether our sweet
dreams are truly moments of bliss or simply reflections of what we've already

This
album, recorded in 1988 at Elkar Studios in Lasarte, is a happy accident,
like much of La Polla Records' early output, by Jean Phocas (who also worked
with other bands of the genre such as Cicatriz) and César Ibarretxe. It was
lovingly designed, with a medieval atmosphere for the cover (by Txefo, Joseba
Olalde and Txarly) featuring a huge scroll containing five tarot cards, a
back cover in the same style with heraldic figures, and a meticulous
presentation of the lyrics with separate spellings for each song, on a double
sheet with photos of piglets suckling from their mother on one side and
various images on the other. With animals as the common thread for the songs,
it represents the confirmation that the concept album had arrived on the
national punk scene. Perhaps a work of maturity, the band's traditional
objectives disappear from the lyrics, and although there is still room for
specific protests and chronicles of nights of alcohol and violence (such as
those of La Rata), the emphasis is on revelling in the description of all
kinds of personal, psychotic and hallucinatory hells. Evaristo confessed to
being influenced by Umberto Eco's book The Name of the Rose (1980) in the
making of this work. Far from indicating any departure from the foundations
laid in previous works, it shows that the spectrum of the anti-establishment
struggle the group was committed to was broad. A very complete album |

of IKIGAI Album by Nadia Struiwigh. IKIGAI was born in the quiet space
between grief and remembering... Made entirely on hardware, from my living
room in Berlin near Hermannplatz (my dad's name is Herman -- the odds), in
the months my father passed away. Every sound, every sequence, every texture
carries his fingerprint. Not because he made music, but because he made me
love gadgets. Circuits, signals, blinking lights. He was the man who opened
me up to machines and taught me how, eventually, to listen to them and use
them for my craft. The name IKIGAI, a Japanese word for "reason for
being," found me when I was at a crossroads. The kind where you ask
yourself: Why am I still here? What am I still creating for? What part of me
still believes in beauty when everything feels like it's falling apart? These
pieces came through slowly, on Japanese gear like Yamaha SEQTRAK, KORG,
Roland -- like threads weaving a tapestry I didn't know I was making. Each
track is a kind of purge... to him, to myself, to the listeners who find
themselves in the in-between. The space where you're not who you were, and
not yet who you're becoming. I found myself back into soundscapes and Ambient
with a touch of Electronica. I weaved in sounds I captured from daily life,
memories -- like the laugh of my sister. I built in silence and let the
machines cry for me and let them tell the story I couldn't find the words
for. IKIGAI is spacious. It's not trying to impress anyone. It's trying to
just be, and hold space for all kinds of emotions. It moves like memory...
slow, sacred, shifting. This release needs to be close to home, and will be
released on my own imprint Distorted Waves, on the day 11.11 -- which refers
to my first album that my dad had hanging up in his shed. For my father.

Rotterdam after appearing in Roy Dames's legendary documentary about the
harbor cafe Willems Kantine. He was a loud and direct landlord who rented
small rooms to people around the area. Bob was famous for his strong
Rotterdam attitude and the way he spoke to people without filtering his
words. One of the most famous moments was when Cowboy Jos asked him for five
euros. Bob angrily replied, "Five euros? On your face!" This line
later became a well-known quote in Rotterdam. Even though he could be rough
and strict, Bob became a memorable character and a small cult figure in the

Punx TROIS' has joined the dots between industrial, post punk and EBM from
the 70s and 80s with theemerging rave scene of the 90s and proven that this
spirit is still alive by unearthing some of the best unreleased dark disco,
techno and electro produced today. Extended versions only! Released this
June, Next Wave Acid Punx TROIS sees Berlin based DJ & producer Curses,
aka Luca Venezia, bring his critically acclaimed compilation series to a
triumphant conclusion. As much musical memoir as compilation of often
impossible-to-find tracks, NWAP has joined the dots between industrial, post
punk and EBM from the 70s and 80s with the emerging rave scene of the 90s and
proven that this spirit is still alive by unearthing some of the best
unreleased dark disco, techno and electro produced today. Ahead of the
series' concluding 3x 2LP entry, Eskimo brings you this limited 12"
sampler featuring 4 cuts that perfectly capture the wildly creative spirit of
the scenes that Next Wave Acid Punx has documented. Extended versions only!
Kicking things off with Curses' own darkly euphoric Crown of Ruin, Luca then
reappears under his Tutto Vetro alias, teaming up with French producer Mala
Ika for the celebratory rush of E-ternal. On the flip we head back to 1991
for the A.C. Mix of Metropolis's Time of War, a track that sits at the
crossroads of the New Beat and EBM scenes of the 1980s and the sounds then
emerging in cities like Frankfurt which, over the next few years. would
evolve into Trance. Finally closing things out we have the Razor Mix of
Interactive's No Control from 1990. Another track that captures a brief
moment in time and the explosion of creativity that emerged from the early
rave scene and would transform both electronic music and club culture
forever. Expertly shining a strobe light on clubland's darkest corners, Next
Wave Acid Punx TROIS is a celebration of the past, present, and future:

Bergsonist
emerges on Dark Entries with Depths, a genre-bending 12-track LP of
atmospheric and rhythmic excursions. For more than a decade, Moroccan-born
Selwa Abd has been using the Bergsonist moniker to examine postcolonial
identity and speculative temporalities across disparate media, including
sound, image, video, and installation. She is also a key figure in New York
underground music, fostering mutual aid and community support through her
platforms Pick up the Flow (PUTF) and BizaarBazaar. On the 2025 album ASL ???
???, Bergsonist explored her Amazigh heritage using field recordings captured
in Morocco. With Depths, her sixth LP, she continues the project of ancestral
reconnection through sound. Abd notes: “I really use making music as therapy,
not as a precious act, more as an energy release that makes me feel alive.”
Depths overflows with this excess of vitality. Tracks like “Trust the
Current”, “Depths”, and “Underwater World Pursuit” showcase her singular take
on diasporic techno-futurism, where James Stinson-esque atmospherics meet
Moroccan rhythms. Elsewhere, “Again” and “Higher” push into coldwave
territory, with icy arpeggios and electroid beats dancing beneath Abd’s
ethereal vocals. But the dancefloor is not to be neglected: “Breakthrough”
and “Ode to Life” spring forth with the kind of skewed peak-hour energy that
only Bergsonist can bring. Artwork for Depths was designed by Eloise Leigh,
and incorporates photographs by Abd and Greg Zifcak taken in Morocco. Also
included is a protection poster that features an Amazigh symbol used for
warding off the evil eye. Depths is an album that achieves a rare balance of
elegance and DIY ethics - it is truly an ode to life |

Michael Forzza unveils Obscure, a two-track EP navigating the
darker edges of atmospheric techno with precision and intent. A) Obscure is a
peak-time weapon built on powerful percussive drive and a commanding groove.
The rhythm pushes forward with controlled intensity, locking the dancefloor
into motion. As the track evolves, the rhythmic pressure gradually recedes,
allowing a shadowed melodic atmosphere to emerge in the final moments, adding

a more industrial realm. Dense textures, mechanical tension and hypnotic
