the A side we have a colab between the two who again prove to be incredible
talents. 'Hidden Dreams' uses a beautifull soundscape/atmosphere on top of a
stripped back drum line and a deep bass. The vocal gives just that bit of
soul while still maintaining the depth. On the flip we have 'Here To Stay' by
Gerwin. Again some deep vibes, except this one is a slightly more dancefloor
orientated track with bouncey drums, a superb bassline and heavy delayed
vocals |

Hanna has been at the forefront of Irish electronic music for over eight
years, first through his work under Unknown with fellow Irish artist Gemma
Dunleavy and now as the formidable Carlton Doom. The Belfast based producer
has built a reputation as one of the most forward thinking, genre-merging
artists on the island, combining his love for techno, breaks and garage into
a growing palette of sonic decompression. Now the Belfast hit-man steps up
with another exploration of deconstructed techno, screw-face bass and
otherwise unknown substances not fit for human consumption. Opener 'Binmen Of
The Apocalypse' features a heavy drum-work perfect for peak-time and the type
of bassline that lights a fire under any dance-floor; while 'E-Machine' adds
swing with it's killer low-end, bouncing between tenacious beats and choppy
vocoder samples. Wrapping up the A-side is 'I Am the Creator' a signature

incluyendo sus ultra-raros singles de principios de los 70, además de
material posterior en la misma onda. Nacida en el Día de los Muertos de 1972,
Medusa surgió de la Ciudad de México con una misión: forjar rock pesado, duro
y en español, arraigado en la conciencia social y la fuerza poética. El
guitarrista Luis Antonio “Toño” Urquiza, el baterista Víctor Moreno y el
bajista/vocalista Javier Plascencia moldearon su sonido influenciados por
bandas como Blue Cheer o Black Sabbath, así como por la turbulencia del
Movimiento Estudiantil de 1968, el Halconazo de 1971 y la explosión creativa
en torno al legendario festival de Avándaro. Amigos y contemporáneos de
grupos como Peace & Love, los Dug Dug’s y El Ritual, Medusa destacaron
rápidamente por su poderosa presencia en vivo y su energía cargada de
contenido político. Lanzaron su primer y ultra-raro sencillo en 1973, seguido
por un EP en 1974, pero su negativa a comprometer su dirección artística
provocó que fueran rechazados por su discográfica antes de completar un LP,
empujándolos hacia grabaciones auto-gestionadas y underground durante las
décadas siguientes. A pesar de la marginación mediática, Medusa se
mantuvieron activos hasta mediados de los años 80, tocando en estadios,
televisión, prisiones y “hoyos fonkis”. Tras una pausa de diez años,
regresaron en 1994 ante una nueva generación que los abrazó como pioneros del
Hard Rock y del Stoner Rock en México. Más tarde, con la incorporación de
Jaime García Mares, reafirmaron su estatus con una histórica aparición en la

recording cues. But the producers at New World Pictures ultimately rejected
the material in favor of a more traditional approach, bringing in Christopher
Young, whose final score remains excellent, if less experimental. What
remains from Coil is an unfinished soundtrack with surviving fragments and
rough ideas, abruptly left behind mid-process, a glimpse into an alternate
Hellraiser movie, one we can only fantasize into existence. Nearly 40 years
later, key long-term collaborators and Coil's "secret third member"
Danny Hyde located the original Hellraiser studio session tapes, and the
bonus material recovered from them is presented here as an "expanded

the 2024 Altered Circuits release Tropicana Tracks Rotterdam-based artist
Betonkust paid tribute to the former subtropical pool (now a circular
entrepreneurship hub) Tropicana of his hometown. ALT025 is the follow-up: the
fallen-from-grace swimming paradise again fuels a club-oriented selection,
inspired by, in the artist's words, "the electronic music from 1988 up
until now", more specifically "the Benelux-sound". Tropicana
Tracks Two kicks off in full gear with the zero swing drums and lately bass
rhythms of Don't Think I'll Be Here Too Long setting the stage for intense
synth stabs. Its counterpart comes by way of Realxing, which nonetheless uses
similar patches. If the A1 is the thrill of the slides, this one feels like
blissfully floating in the geothermally heated waters afterwards. Will
Support on the reverse side takes on Detroit techno. Minimal in its
composition, it is carried by tough, loopy minor fifth synth sections and
prominently mixed rides. TV For Lonely People features more big bass
catchiness and melancholic, silky melodies, glued together by vintage flanger
treatment and chlorine-damp reverb. The production revels in what feels like
the quintessential Betonkust sound. Innershades then joins for the encore, and,
characteristically, the mood turns a bit darker. Letting Go Of The Dream is
an emotional New Beat update, fully equipped with thudding drum works,
haunting lo-fi vocals and pivotal 303 programming - a fitting reaffirmation
of the long-standing ties between two of Low Countries Electronics's finest
ambassadors |

create a journey into the machine's heart, powered by monolithic kick drums
and pulsating, hypnotic sequences. This is peak-time, strobelit intensity-a
dark, unforgiving lesson in rhythm and propulsion. Mareena's sophisticated
version of Shaleen's "Treatise On A Narcissist" strips the original
back to its essential hypnotic core. It locks into a precise, relentless
rhythm with characterizing sharp hi-hats, a focused, pulsating kick drum and
creates a sense of deep, foreboding atmosphere by utilizing subtle, filtered
synth drones and echo effects. Rosati's Remix of Shaleen's
"Nymphomaniac" layers hypnotic elements, leading to a massive, euphoric

JakoJako steps up to deliver a nuanced and immersive re-imagining of

electronic maverick Spekki Webu stretches out on an expansive album for new
label Outer Orbit Records, exploring his deep and wide-ranging influences
across a captivating narrative of tripped-out beatdowns and evocative
dreamscapes. Spekki Webu is someone who was naturally drawn into the magnetic
pull of Outer Orbit after playing for their sister party Mizz Softee. As the
time-travelling album title suggests, it's a meditation on formative sounds
that propelled him on to myriad adventures across the many microcosms of
electronic music. That means indulging in slower tempos and crooked grooves,
with the influence of trip hop and illbient looming large in the boom bap

composer Elisabeth Klinck announces the debut album of her ensemble, Klinck
Trio, on VIERNULVIER Records. My Hair is Everywhere will be released on
November 7, 2025 on vinyl LP and through all digital platforms. Rooted in
improvisation and guided by openness, the Klinck Trio — Adia Vanheerentals
(saxophone, voice), Maya Dhondt (piano, voice), and Elisabeth Klinck (violin,
voice) —crafts music where sound and silence are equally vital. Their debut
album is an exploration of fragility, unfolding like a delicate conversation
in which each note is chosen with intention and every pause carries presence.
Recorded in the summer of 2024 at Studio Ledeberg, My Hair Is Everywhere
captures a moment in time: three musicians meeting in sound, each bringing
their own timbre, language and natural state of being into dialogue. Klinck
offers seeds of material —metaphors, sketches, sonic ideas — that the
ensemble shapes into fully formed pieces. The result is an album that stands
complete, yet carries within it the openness to unfold further in live
performance, where new layers and resonances can emerge. In the spirit of
American composer and pianist Meredith Monk, the trio embraces lightness
andvulnerability, crafting soundscapes that feel both childlike in their
intimacy and expansive in their emotional reach. My Hair is Everywhere
balances melancholy, tenderness, and harmonic interplay with silence, breath,
and resonance—the subtle negative space where music continues beyond the
notes themselves. By recording in close proximity, every detail emerges: the
strike of piano pedals, the clicking of saxophone keys, the intake of breath,
and the faint displacement of air. Textures of dragging violin, whispered
fragments, and soft humming become almost tangible, drawing the listener
fully into this intimate, enveloping present moment. Above all, this
compelling debut is an invitation to listen differently: to enter a
transformative space where three distinct musical voices find each other in

First
track, Symmetry, debuted on BBC Radio 6 New Music Fix, 10th February: "A
beautiful, beautiful album" /// I got my life back. On 17 February 2025,
1024 rays of ultra sound converged at an operation table in Bern,
Switzerland, and disconnected a noisy circuit on my brain. 90% of the
manifestation ceased - of a disease that I no longer wish to mention by its
name. During the same period, I completed my new album: Self Help Manual.
I've read more current research about the nameless disease than my
neurologist, who despite that I didn't follow his advice on suitable
treatment, called me after the successful operation: a brave, brave man. I
have composed the music in the same way as in my previous album - Songs for
the Nervous System - through layers upon layers of improvisations in dialogue
with my synthesizers, most of which are the same age as me. I made the
majority of the songs in my studio in the remains of Old Hagalund in Solna. I
edited the recordings in my bed during the waking hours of clarity at night.
Some songs - NAC, Ketosis, Overkill - were recorded in the basement of my
childhood home in Skutskar, in Norduppland, where I'd returned to be nurtured
by my retired parents - who during a night when I couldn't turn over in bed,
or pull the blanket over me - made a list of what would happen to my
belongings. To my friends who have stood out with me despite my disease, I
want to state: you will not inherit me yet. On the new album, the electric
bass takes on a leading role. ESG and Liquid Liquid have been important when
I reinvented my baselines, limited and liberated by my poor fine motor
skills. Plasma is my homage to Summertime Rolls by Jane's Addiction, that I
listened to frequently in my youth. I guess that no one will hear the
resemblance. In several songs, the Fender Rhodes plays an important role, a
magical instrument that I bought shortly after my diagnosis over a decade
ago, and for a long time didn't dare to touch out of respect for Herbie
Hancock and Fela Kuti. A couple of songs draw inspiration from the Horn of
Africa - Inner Nile and Delta. At first, subconsciously in the
reverb-drenched Inner Nile, then more consciously in Delta. I'm sorry it
doesn't swing the right way, but it was my attempt to return to the cradle of
humanity. Longevity is possibly my favourite. The melody is played by an
arpeggiator that I controlled by pressing down different keys in an
exhilarating sense of freedom. One song in particular, the second track - One
- has caused friends to associate freely: one thought it sounded like Patrick
Cowley, another like Sly & Robbie meets Kraftwerk, a third like Air -
Moonlight Safari. I made one song just before the surgery: opening track
Symmetry. It's the mightiest and most minimal song. I made one song after the
surgery: finishing track Self Help Manual. My previous medication pump is
heard through the microphone of my Ovation Magnum. It's the most hopeful song
on the album. I took the cover photos with my Hasselblad during walks in
Tokyo suburbs of ?mori and Kamata more than ten years ago. It was something
about the faith of the traffic cones that fascinated me - born in the same
streamlined form, they had over the years become increasingly individual and
lovable. The mixing was finalized by Christoffer Roth in the newly built
Studio Dubious in Nacka. Rashad Becker, who in an interview said that he
listens as much with his mouth as with his ears, mastered the album at Clunk
in Berlin. Right now it feels like anything is possible. My recovery is
perhaps a small step for mankind, but a giant leap for me. I hereby leave the

Ramping up the intensity from his 2025 debut, Joe Milli returns
to Livity Sound with a spring-loaded EP of upfront club workouts that once
again split the difference between techno propulsion and UK Funky swagger.
Milli's previous release, Deep Forest, carried a dubby atmosphere on top of
its bassweight rhythms. On this new four-track EP, the shroud lifts and he
leans in on raw, impactful drums and sparse sound fields. 'Retreat' piles
percussion into an uptempo stomper with a looped intensity and carnival
accents on top, and 'Mantra' offers a similar 4/4 thrust around the 140 mark.
Meanwhile, 'Revival' locks down low into a heavy dembow-informed groove and
'The Less You Know' prizes tense, precisely arranged hand drums with a
minimal finish primed for creative blends. Zeroing in on stark, heads-down

Kr!z in March and Oliver Ho in early-May, James Ruskin's Blueprint Records
continue the 30th anniversary with another label stalwart as Mark Broom
returns with his new EP, "Reality Check". Mark Broom is a renowned
British techno DJ and music producer whose career spans over three decades.
Throughout his career, Broom has released over 150 singles, showcasing his
versatility across various sub-genres of electronic music. He has
collaborated with esteemed record labels such as Defected, Rekids, Warp,
Ifach, M-Plant, Cocoon, Glitterbox and his own Beard Man (launched in 2009).
In addition to his solo projects, Broom has engaged in numerous
collaborations. He partnered with James Ruskin to form The Fear Ratio,
exploring experimental sounds that blend elements of hip-hop, IDM and techno
with four albums (to date) on Skam Records, Tresor and of course, Blueprint.
Another highlight has been their "Ruskin & Broom" EPs which
have peppered the label's roster. Now based in Norfolk (England), Broom
continues to be a driving force in the techno scene. His work has been
described as ranging from "club-ready techno and house to left-field
electro, downtempo and IDM" highlighting his adaptability and broad

The aptly named "Momentum" is the label's first EP
from Decoder, who recently released an album to wide acclaim on Planet X.
Spread across 6 tracks, the EP is drenched in psychedelia as it effortlessly
moves through different moods and aesthetics to take dancers through the
night. "Flowing" begins the EP with stripped-back percussion and
moody atmospherics, transporting the listener into a trance.
"Photon" takes a nostalgic trip back to the 90s, featuring a 909
workout that's heavily processed with intensifying effects.
"Strawbs" presents what might be the most captivating track of the
EP, characterized by its rolling, hands-in-the-air vibe that persists
throughout the song. To conclude the vinyl, "Dyslexic" is intricate
and enigmatic in all thedelightful ways. Mallets intermittently appear and

steps up for his sixth label contribution with four chilling cuts, pushing
his sound into bolder territory than ever. 'Inferno' could mean many things,
but at first listen it could be interpreted as a homage to the unforgiving
nature of the club experience. Stripped down to the bare essentials, these
tracks showcase the efficiency of simple ideas spoken with authority.
'Inferno', as an EP and its A1, focuses on the brutality of weight in minimal
elements. The spaces between the crunched lead are filled only with the
continuity of a whipping drum machine. Sucked in and spit out, Kr!z delivers
a whirlpool of sonic motion for the ultra focused stretch of a long set.
Intrigue remains constant as tension is maintained, and the track's elements
are truly pulled together by wailing synth keys that distort heavily off the
stereo field. As the centerpiece of the EP, 'Inferno' uses the brutality of
this sound design to guide hysteria into each section as well as bouncing off
the texture of the lead, complete with brisk percussion switches. 'Gridlock'
follows in its predecessor's footsteps, but not without its own point to
make. Vintage in its construction yet cutting edge in resolution, Kr!z builds
up and breaks down drums over a single chord-like synth that grinds through
the record like heavy machinery. The pure distortion of this chord destroys
any hope for harmonics in its wake, an intentional decision by Kr!z to dirty
up his sound design and saturate his output for a result that drives the
dancefloor into dissonant hysteria. The swing between each hit and the
silence between the sections are an increasingly harder pull into his urgent
narrative as 'Gridlock' spirals along into the B side ofthe record. 'Level
Zero' is painted in the same color as the others, but provides a familiarity
that highlights Token's influence as a record label since 2007. A detuned,
resonant synth sequence plucks its way along 'Level Zero' for true mechanical
dissociation. Here and there, Kr!z sprinkles in some tonal variations to hold
attention while insisting on the brutality of his initial loop. Sweeping his
filter and shaking the rides, we arrive at the final part of the record 'The
Great Forgetting'. The tonal switch of this song is a good indicator that
it's the closing, making things lighter with a clean pad and playful drums.
The genre almost feels like a hybrid; Kr!z steps away from the chaos and into
a controlled euphoria that winds down 'Inferno' on a high note while keeping
control of his dancefloor |

announces his new album 'Tricklemore Sea', set for release on vinyl on 1st
May via Signature Recordings.A deeply personal and exploratory body of work,
the album moves through ambient, shoegaze, electronic, blues and folk, all
subtly shaped by the low-end sensibility that has defined his music for
decades. It resists easy categorisation, reflecting an ongoing interest in
blending bass culture with forms that sit outside it. Following the release
of 'They Want You' at the end of 2025, this new project marks a clear shift
in tone. Where that record leans into intensity and forward momentum,
'Tricklemore Sea' turns inward, occupying a more introspective space.
Featuring entirely his own vocals and production, it carries a more exposed
and vulnerable quality. The album has taken shape gradually, drawing from
material written in the years after 'Planet Hearth'. Rather than forming
around a fixed concept, it emerges as a collection of pieces connected by
tone and instinct. Tracks move between simplicity and abstraction, with
piano-led compositions sitting alongside field recordings, improvisations and
bass-driven works. Ideas often begin quickly, then evolve over long periods
of revisiting and reworking. His voice takes on a more central role throughout,
bringing a heightened sense of vulnerability. Lyrics and delivery are often
left open, allowing space for interpretation. His process remains fluid and
instinctive, with ideas written quickly, revisited over time and combined
across different periods. Moments such as 'Little Blend' carry a quiet
melancholia balanced with hope, while 'Free One' reflects on the pressures of
contemporary life. The title track considers the scale of human existence
within a wider universe, framing individual lives as small but meaningful
within something larger. Elsewhere, 'Deflower' and 'Pigeon Luncheon' draw
from recordings made in Berlin at the end of lockdown, capturing a sense of
movement and return. Older material, including 'Living In Your Head' and
'Hyndsight', is recontextualised and sits naturally alongside newer work.
Threads from his wider catalogue remain present. 'Able Son Dub' nods to
longstanding reggae influences, while 'Bit Broken Stream' appears here in a
downtempo form alongside its drum and bass counterpart from 'They Want You'.
Tracks like 'United Pull' and 'Mizzle Mine' lean further into abstraction,
using minimal language and space to suggest mood rather than define it. Over
more than 30 years, Calibre has built a catalogue that moves across drum and
bass, ambient, dub, techno, house, jazz, soul, blues and folk. His work is
marked by restraint, quiet melancholy and a singular approach that continues
to evolve. Complete authorship remains central, with all vocals, lyrics and
production on both 'They Want You' and 'Tricklemore Sea' created solely by
him. This breadth extends into his DJ sets, where he draws heavily from his
own catalogue, often performing entirely self-produced material across a wide
range of tempos and styles. His ability to move between contexts has seen him
play at Boomtown, Houghton and Atonal Berlin, delivering distinct sets while
maintaining a clear identity. With 'Tricklemore Sea', that identity leans
toward stillness, introspection and emotional depth. It is a record that
prioritises feeling over definition, holding space for ambiguity while
remaining grounded in a strong sense of authorship. Each release carries an
element of exposure, a moment of vulnerability in letting the work go. At its
core, the album seeks to capture something fleeting but recognisable, a sense
of beauty that sits just beyond language. He describes it simply: "The
river inside of me flowing into the sea." |

One
year on from his first Samurai release, Vardae returns to plunge even deeper
into his mesmerising strain of hyper-mobile drum mantras and textural
intrigue. Cedric Arnous' prolific run over the past few years has rapidly
positioned him at the forefront of a scene between scenes where the rhythmic
intrigue of drum & bass collides with modern techno's hypnotic linearity.
On The Energy Of Presence he relishes the flexibility afforded by this
intersection to deliver four distinct, high-impact workouts made with his
ever-evolving live set in mind. 'Grounded Attachment' leads with the sonar
strafe and broken beat pulse readily associated with the Vardae sound,
threading twitchy percussion and steely brushstrokes around the bedrock of
low-end pressure. It's the slowly emerging drone sweeps that round out the
character of the track, betraying a warmth encased within the metallic
overtones that deepens the emotional weight immeasurably. By contrast,
'Magnetic Flux' swerves towards a more direct thrust with its high-tempo 4/4
undercarriage and a limber, acidic lead line that helps join the dots between
Vardae's modernist sheen and the roughneck days of free party tekno. This is
still charged, atmospheric dance music, but it has no problem showing its teeth,
too. 'Electric Feelings' is similarly sprightly in its tempo, but as ever
Vardae runs a tight game with the weight of his drums, finding lightness and
dexterity even at 170BPM while the transcendental wormhole opens up around
the rhythmic force at the centre. Ensuring there's no space for
predictability on this release, 'The Energy Of Presence' plies its own trade
in sumptuous dub techno chords and angular groove designed to make you move
on a different kind of downbeat. The consummate title track, it's the most
roundly melodic offering on the record, served as a crescendo to the whole
listening experience comfortably nestled on the B2 of the physical edition.
Capitalising on the hypnotic codes etched into the dub techno sound, Vardae
dials up the delay feedback for a psychedelic release at the end of a record
that covers a lot of ground without losing focus |

blend of old school brand new atmospherics from one of the scene's most
talented producers. A1 - 20th Century Man: Straight into the beats for the
deliciously cheery opening, 20th Century Man encapsulates so much of what
Chronicle does best - old school breakbeat sensibilities delivered with an
inimitable atmospheric charm, strongly reminiscent of that peak Good Looking
era we all adored. Incredible synthwork and analogue drums layered with
danceable 2-step breaks and melodies take your mind exactly where you want to
be. A2 - Terraformers: Seminal synths and birdsong effects prepare us for an
impossibly crisp breakbeat and 808 bassline to drive this track along,
coloured by a myriad of subtle blips and bleeps, delicately flecked across a
detailed and optimistic soundscape. Very DJ-friendly from the first to the
final bar, the purity of Chronicle's approach to atmospheric drum & bass
is once again at its best here on Spatial. B1 - Boundless Space: Playful
twittering birds, gentle hi-hats and panning synths introduce Boundless
Space, a blissful, serene treat for the senses which soon kicks into
flourishing life with the timeless Circles break. Vocal samples punctuate the
soothing breakdown with exquisitely programmed effects dotted here, there and
everywhere, completing a stunning composition that both reflects on the past
and looks forward in equal measure. B2 - Ephemeral Style: A light, delicately
calming pad-laden intro with echoing melodies opens Ephemeral style, soon

his dancefloor breakbeat prowess with an energetic 2-step break pattern,
expertly programmed and riddled with detail and density, creating a wonderful
collage of sound and a perfect addition to any era-spanning atmospheric set.
C1 - Modular Expansion: Eerily reminiscent tones harking back to the golden,
ultra-classic Good Looking era introduce us to Modular Expansion, a track
which quickly adds layer upon layer of original identity to the vibe with
crisp breaks, a wonderful metallic backdrop snare and subtle vocal samples.
The joyously retrospective breakdown complements the energy of the track
beautifully, capping off another gem for the record box. C2 - Limbic System:
Chronicle introduces Limbic System with swathes of swirling pads and synths,
straddled with a subtle yet enigmatic melody carrying us through the drop,
where we are treated to a lusciously constructed old school break pattern
with a modern twist. Enter the breakdown and the keen ear will spot sampled
quotes from Total Recall, which fit the vibe perfectly. "You went to
Recall?" - yes, we sure did. And we enjoyed the trip! D1 -
Non-Euclidian: Continuing the blissful retrospective atmospheric tone of the
album, Chronicle serves up Non-Euclidian which opens with a wonderfully
synthy intro flecked with old school break samples and an earworm melody,
before the onslaught of layered breaks provides variety as well as a
thoroughly danceable pattern to unleash on the discerning dancefloor.
Trademark dotted effects punctuate the track throughout. D2 - Deep Thought:
Capping off the LP we have Deep Thought, setting a calming and quietly
brooding vibe before impossibly crisp beats kick in and elevate proceedings
nicely. Chronicle effortlessly leads the listener through the drop with an
analogue punch, earthy basslines and fluttering effects with the kind of
flair we've come to love from such a vastly experienced and talented producer
