coloured vinyl which is grey on one side and white on the flip. Both the
inner- and outer sleeve are printed. The Inperspective Records founder
finally commits an EP to his beloved label after his debut track
"Wednesday Evening" appeared 15 years ago. He dedicated his time to
promoting and pushing the label, but a slew of releases on Fresh Trip,
Immerse, Modern Urban Jazz, Cylon Recordings, Renegade, Exit Records and the
recent upload of previously unreleased stuff on Spotify finally ignited his
desire to get new music out again. Chris presents 4 tracks that some of the
closet people in his life have chosen and insisted that he release. Covering
a myriad of styles, this release showcases the loves in Chris's musical life.
"Dragons In the World", the title track, and a statement of intent,
a purist Jazz break laden workout that is indicative of the Inperspective
Sound. It's starts and never stops and showcases the most progressive side to
his musical arsenal. Inperspective stalwart profane insisted that this tune
should see the light of day so here we are. "Clock Tower" was
inspired by his trip to Croatia. Having heard Calibre & Dbridge back to
back at Hospitality on the beach. An inebriated Chris returned home, loaded
up his laptop and this tune came out. He played it the next day warming up
with the Hospital Records staff member Ed Priest suggested that the tune was
release worthy and Diffrent Music & Med School manager Dexta echoed this
sentiment. The track harks back to an earlier version of Chris's sound, a
chunky half time monster. "Amber's Bush" is an oldschool workout
that happened quickly and fluidly. Label family member Alex Jones
enthusiastic response to it when played out told Chris that this should be on
this EP. Smooth yet rugged roller that never stops once it starts. The
bassline makes you think of whale sounds, put it that way! "You
Understand" is the result of a THC fuelled session with long time friend
and fellow Black, bespeckled jungalist, Will Miles. It's loopy, it's rolling
and it's what many his style to be. A fitting end to this most welcome return |

Records proudly debuts Shiken Hanzo's inaugural full-length album titled
'Fate Worlds'! Shiken Hanzo is an artist not easily forgotten. His sound
splices the fractious traditions of jungle with more ambient touches and this
hybridisation has us incredibly excited to bring you his first full length
album - 'Fate Worlds'. In doing so, his boundless creativity is brandished
through complete artistic freedom. The result is a special blend of
foreboding atmospherics and tightly-bound percussive force, an odyssey of an
album which takes influences from across the jungle spectrum and twists them
into a unique musical journey. Hanzo's record on label's like Samurai Music
and Cylon Recordings is clearly audible, a palpable legacy that has given breadth
to his current creative purpose: to make ever-evolving music with no respect
for conventions or boundaries. A thirteen-track mastery straight from the
underground, 'Fate Worlds' constructs a complex cinematic universe -
sonically rich and texturally sophisticated. Iconic tracks, such as 'Book of
Soyga', are emblematic of this approach; an eerie, kick-heavy track named
after an Elizabethan treatise on magic - an arcane, paranormal backdrop
juxtaposed with futuristic vocal leads and technoid bassline murmurs. At the
other end of the spectrum is 'Taoist Elements', a rhythmic sledgehammer built
upon the shifting sands of breakbeat hypnotism and one which brings a
laser-like focus on dancefloor momentum. This confidence to adapt and infuse
is eminent through-out the album and results in a raw and unforgiving display
of boisterous ingenuity. A truly sensational start to 2021, 'Fate Worlds'
demonstrates Hanzo's eclectic range and superb talent, as well as
Inperspective's commitment to pushing the boundaries of jungle - this is
undeniably a great stride forward in that journey |

label owner and Berlin based DJ and producer Ray Kandinski has been making
serious moves over the last few years, both through his ear for curation and
his rich, intricate sound design. Inspired by a pool of influences,
including; jungle, footwork and house - Kandinski believes the beauty of
dance music can be found in its subtlety and range; which can be heard deeply
running throughout his debut EP for Lobster Theremin. A ray of sunshine
shines through sparse breakbeats in opening track '95', before 'No love'
follows with a slightly more clubier affair, while still maintaining it's
blissful edge through the use of lush and dynamic synth work. 'Healing' then
closes the A side with it's minimal grooves, both hypnotic and understated;
light refracting from one medium to another in a colourful display of blue
and green. The B side makes its entrance with 'Zonin' a choppy house cut with
a point to prove, before demonstrating his artistic versatility in 'The Mack'
blending his way into an electro mutation laced with ravey stabs and punchy
drums, combining various influences from around the globe. Title track
'Garant' takes place in a quasi-rainforest beckoned by nature's call. The
type of good-natured music that sounds inspired by the evolving world around
us; locking us in a groove that could happily last forever |

Solar Phenomena are keeping up a
busy and high quality release rate in 2018 with a fifth offering already.
This one is a three tracker from STL, who already released his 'If Time Would
Move Backwards EP' on the label earlier in the year. The title track opens
the account with blown out drums trudging along in ever changing patterns.
Swirling, lo-fi ambience adds scale to the track and encourages you to get
lost in the middle of it all. 'Weed Detective' is ten minutes of psyched-out
and stripped back drum work at an inviting mid tempo. Keys dance and heavily
treated vocal sounds trip you out in slow motion. Last of all, 'Scubbu Babe'
has finger clicks, bright and mild crazed keys and ad libbed vocal sounds all

has become one of the revelations of the new psychedelia in Latin America and

as Levitation or Space Fest. Tajak is a Mexican trio of psychedelia, drone
and shoegaze, a powerful and hypnotic sound that has made them one of the
revelations of psychedelia emerged in Latin America, which has led them to
play in various international festivals. "Ciclos", third album of
the band, represents the maturity of their sound. "Ciclos" is an
effort from the band to represent a path, going through the different facets

repress - Portuguese techno force Lewis Fautzi debuts under his own name on
Mutual Rytm with 'Beneath The Surface'. Hailing from Barcelos, Portuguese
maestro Lewis Fautzi has carved out a formidable reputation through a run of
uncompromising releases and a sound rooted in tension, precision and raw
power - exemplified by his recent outing on the agenda-setting Hayes
Collective. He has previously established his fierce, potent sound on Soma,
PoleGroup, Mord, and a number of other influential labels, while also heading
up Faut Section. Having previously appeared on Mutual Rytm's Federation Of
Rytm III compilation under his Non Cyclic alias, he now steps out on SHDW's
label with a six-tracker busting full of impactful techno cuts. The
heavily-requested 'Beneath The Surface' opens the EP with menacing low-end
and tightly coiled pressure that's released through simmering valves and
hissing synths. 'The Hollow Cycle' brings a loopy, tunnelling groove with a
snaking lead and snaking metallic percussion, while 'Inner Mechanism' keeps
things dark, deep and driving with a backlit glow that pulls you in. 'Nonlinear Form' is streamlined deep techno
that fizzes with texture, spraying chords and a rumbling sub-bass, while
closer 'Anamorph' rides meticulously designed broken beats with an
ever-present sense of bass-driven foreboding. For digital purchasers, sparse

with two previous outings highlighting his refined but powerful style. The
Berlin-based artist joins the dots between bold percussive grooves and
distinct cerebral layers, with his productions continuing to receive wide
support from DJs and tastemakers across the globe. This return to SHDW's
flourishing label features one of his most anticipated tracks to date - a
truly timeless warehouse anthem that marks an exciting new chapter for both
Regent and the label. 'Permean' is a raw but sophisticated piece of techno
that merges powerful drums with hypnotic pads. It brims with surgical sound
design. While the groove is fierce, a haunting melodic touch adds a soft and
deeply emotional edge as Regent explores the tension between permanence and
decay, delivering a timeless and essential track. The first remix comes from
Steve Rachmad under his Sterac guise. This version channels the spirit of his
early work - pure, stripped-back techno at its finest. Tightly programmed and
deep, it features burrowing bass and impish synths dancing up top to occupy
the mind while the body moves. Next comes a remix from one of the most
innovative producers of our time, Rene Pawlowitz, under his Head High alias,
a project reserved for his more house leaning sounds. His 'Power Tool Mix'
brings his signature loopy style with thudding kicks, raw hi-hats and twitchy

Detroit's Andy Toth, he explores a sci fi fusion of electro and acid, with a
remix by BMG of Ectomorph fame. Andy Toth has a long history in Detroit
Techno, from an engineering and mixing background where he mixed records for
the likes of Mike Huckaby and many others, to co-authoring
"Sandwiches". For this record, Andy had the songs mixed on hardware
by BMG in his studio, to give them an even more 3 dimensional sound and an
even greater weight. The result for the "Mind Lock EP" is
simultaneously hypnotic, acid, sci fi, and electro. The depth of tone,

Qual, the solo project of William
Maybelline (Lebanon Hanover, General Dynamics). Since Qual's 2015 debut
release Sable, the project has been exploring dark and gloomy soundscapes of
minimal synth, old school EBM, industrial electronics recorded on analog
equipment. With technoid hammers and torture tech beats Love Zone opens as a
continuum of Qual's previous exploration of digital decay, A.I aftermath, our
increasing addiction to the dopamine fix of the screen, and a pill for every
ill. Love Zone was made purely with hardware only. The album was mixed by
Owen Pratt of Uncanny Valley, whose previous clients include Post Malone,

Calibre
announces his new album 'Tricklemore Sea', set for release on vinyl and
digital on 1st May via Signature Recordings. A deeply personal and
exploratory body of work, the album moves through ambient, shoegaze,
electronic, blues and folk, all subtly shaped by the low-end sensibility that
has defined his music for decades. It resists easy categorisation, reflecting
an ongoing interest in blending bass culture with forms that sit outside it.
Following the release of 'They Want You' at the end of 2025, this new project
marks a clear shift in tone. Where that record leans into intensity and
forward momentum, 'Tricklemore Sea' turns inward, occupying a more
introspective space. Featuring entirely his own vocals and production, it
carries a more exposed and vulnerable quality. The album has taken shape
gradually, drawing from material written in the years after 'Planet Hearth'.
Rather than forming around a fixed concept, it emerges as a collection of
pieces connected by tone and instinct. Tracks move between simplicity and
abstraction, with piano-led compositions sitting alongside field recordings,
improvisations and bass-driven works. Ideas often begin quickly, then evolve
over long periods of revisiting and reworking. His voice takes on a more
central role throughout, bringing a heightened sense of vulnerability. Lyrics
and delivery are often left open, allowing space for interpretation. His
process remains fluid and instinctive, with ideas written quickly, revisited
over time and combined across different periods. Moments such as 'Little
Blend' carry a quiet melancholia balanced with hope, while 'Free One'
reflects on the pressures of contemporary life. The title track considers the
scale of human existence within a wider universe, framing individual lives as
small but meaningful within something larger. Elsewhere, 'Deflower' and
'Pigeon Luncheon' draw from recordings made in Berlin at the end of lockdown,
capturing a sense of movement and return. Older material, including 'Living
In Your Head' and 'Hyndsight', is recontextualised and sits naturally
alongside newer work. Threads from his wider catalogue remain present. 'Able
Son Dub' nods to longstanding reggae influences, while 'Bit Broken Stream'
appears here in a downtempo form alongside its drum and bass counterpart from
'They Want You'. Tracks like 'United Pull' and 'Mizzle Mine' lean further
into abstraction, using minimal language and space to suggest mood rather
than define it. Over more than 30 years, Calibre has built a catalogue that
moves across drum and bass, ambient, dub, techno, house, jazz, soul, blues
and folk. His work is marked by restraint, quiet melancholy and a singular
approach that continues to evolve. Complete authorship remains central, with
all vocals, lyrics and production on both 'They Want You' and 'Tricklemore
Sea' created solely by him. This breadth extends into his DJ sets, where he
draws heavily from his own catalogue, often performing entirely self-produced
material across a wide range of tempos and styles. His ability to move
between contexts has seen him play at Boomtown, Houghton and Atonal Berlin,
delivering distinct sets while maintaining a clear identity. With
'Tricklemore Sea', that identity leans toward stillness, introspection and
emotional depth. It is a record that prioritises feeling over definition,
holding space for ambiguity while remaining grounded in a strong sense of
authorship. Each release carries an element of exposure, a moment of
vulnerability in letting the work go. At its core, the album seeks to capture
something fleeting but recognisable, a sense of beauty that sits just beyond
language. He describes it simply: "The river inside of me flowing into
the sea." |

an engrossing lattice of polyrhythmic beat science and deep atmospheric

for the Sumud EP. Since his early years locked into the 00s London techno
scene, Marco Sartorelli has developed as an artist entirely on his own terms.
Through the rush of new ideas and cross-pollination that has characterised
cutting-edge techno over the past 20-odd years, Sartorelli has travelled as
Marco Shuttle from one considered stylistic concept to the next. On his own
Eerie label and across expansive releases for respected outposts such as
Spazio Disponibile, Incensio and Astral Industries, he's taken an exploratory
approach to rhythm and spatial design while always drawing on intentional
thematic frameworks, creating distinctive and immersive dance music in the
process. As Samurai Music continues to celebrate the rich seams of
inspiration where deep techno and drum & bass intersect, Sartorelli's
malleable, mysterious strain of drum work fits right in and sets a
captivating tone for the label's operations in 2026. 'Sumud' is a steely drum
mantra dealing in fractured patterns with the primal patina of the early
Artificial Intelligence era, while 'Las Dunas de Taroa' leans on gently
pulsing melancholia undulating at a half-time pace. 'Iso 50' taps into raw,
analogue minimalism once more, evoking the sound of Roman Flugel's Ro70
records in their icy, alien formation. Completing the set, we're guided
towards the tense electronica of 'Polylayering What I've Got', where uneasy
melodic chimes interlock with intricately programmed drum machines. There's a
distinct sense of golden-era, mid-90s electronica coursing through Sumud EP,
but Sartorelli shrouds the classic tools at his disposal in his subtle
signature atmospherics, pushing towards a plain of expression that transcends

by Nala Sinephro, and it features performances by longstanding collaborators
James Mollison, Nubya Garcia, Lyle Barton, Dwayne ''Wonky Logic'' Kilvington,
Morgan Simpson, Natcyet Wakili, Mark Mollison and Sheila Maurice-Grey. As
well as the London orchestra Orchestrate, who previously provided strings for
Sinephro's 2024 critically acclaimed album, Endlessness. London-based
composer Nala Sinephro makes her feature film debut with a score that threads
spiritual jazz, modular ambience and fragile emotion into one shimmering
whole. Working with saxophonists James Mollison and Nubya Garcia, drummer
Morgan Simpson and an ensemble of strings, she crafts soundscapes that
breathe rather than boom. 'Dawn' opens like a meditation in motion - harp,
harmonium and brushed cymbals tracing the edge of stillness - before 'Grand
Prix' and 'KO' unfurl into more kinetic, pulse-driven forms. The centrepiece
'The Smashing Machine' fuses dissonance with grace, its drones swelling like
a slow exhale. Elsewhere, 'Mark II' and 'Dawn II' close the circle with
hushed resolve. It's a quietly dazzling debut score - impressionistic,
weightless and far more about recovery than triumph |

and Kevin Knapp return to Crosstown Rebels with their ‘Get It’ EP. Out on
22nd May 2026, the longstanding collaborators serve up a heavyweight
two-tracker on Damian Lazarus’ imprint. Leeds-born, Ibiza-based duo Audiojack
reunite with US mainstay Kevin Knapp for their third Crosstown Rebels
collaboration together on 22nd May, adding to 2021’s impressive ‘Under Your
Skin’ EP and 2017’s ‘Implications’ EP. Having spent two decades at the
forefront of the scene, the Gruuv bosses’ blend of house, minimal, and garage
infl uences has landed on labels such as Hot Creations, Solid Grooves, 8bit,
and more. Meanwhile, house music stalwart Kevin Knapp continues to push his
own chunky and vibrant take on house music via international performances at
venues such as fabric, Circo Loco, and Elrow, as well as releases on labels

they serve up two punchy cuts that showcase their ability to balance attitude

Forest
Drive West returns to Mantis with a double pack of crooked, finely chiseled
rhythms and porous, tactile atmospherics. Hovering comfortably between the
distinct energies of drum & bass and techno, Joe Baker has helped define
the creative upsurge in crossover tempos and tones with a practice that
focuses on mood and presence rather than genre tropes. His first releases
appeared 10 years ago on influential labels like Livity Sound, Rupture and
Hidden Hawaii. He reconvenes on Mantis after delivering the first release for
the Delsin series back in 2020. The scope across these eight new tracks is
steeped in Baker's trademark restraint and subtlety, but equally he explores
a broad scope of energies and tempos. From ambient, spacious downtempo and slow-motion,
heavily dubbed drum mantras through to crisp, techy drum funk and
dancehall-coded swagger, the range within the distinctive Forest Drive West
sound is more versatile than ever. It's a range cemented further by the guest
appearances on the album, as Patrick Russell comes on board for snarling,
D&B-coded workout 'Uromastyx' and DB1 lends his chops to mesmerising
closing breakbeat trip 'Planes'. Exquisite sound design with a mysterious
