producer Jai Dee follows up from his hard-hitting debut on 1O Pills Mate with

leaning electronica. Opening track 'Coming Up Again' covers a range of
responses over it's seven minute duration; from it's front-running
introduction, radiating keys and its finale, featuring alien electronics

"Superfricción", the
last album of Liquidarlo Celuloide was considered as the second best album of
year, by the important newspaper El Comercio in Peru. "Superfriction, a
caustic expansion of fiercely sparkling psychedelic numbers". Wire
Magazine/ Francis Gooding, October 2017. "Superfriction" is the
title of the tenth album by the Peruvian band Liquidarlo Celuloide, one of
the most important and active of the fierce underground scene from Lima. This
four-piece band comprised of Juan Diego Capurro (keyboards, voice), Efrén
Castillo (guitar), Giancarlo Rebagliati (bass) and Alfonso Vargas (drums).
Influenced by industrial rock, post-punk and krautrock, they've been active
for over a decade, and are well known on Lima's experimental rock scene.

With
Monsters and Gods' is The Hillbilly Moon Explosion's 2016 album release and
is certainly one of their their best. Who knew that rock'n'roll could still
be so exhilarating... and musically diverse? A half-English 4-piece hidden
away in the unlikely habitat of Switzerland, they've honed their craft
without distraction for many years. Searching for the right sound they've
previously recorded in San Diego, Camden and Tooting, but for this album they
went back to the local Swiss studio where they made their early rockabilly
albums, allowing more time to get it spot on. The line-up is chanteuse
Emanuela Hutter, Oliver Baroni on vocals and stand-up bass, Duncan James on
guitar and Sylvain Petite on drums; With Monsters and Gods is also
embellished by Oliver's latent piano skills. The esteemed Pete Thomas
provided saxophone. On this 2016 album, they open with psychedelia meets 50s
sci-fi of In Space the following 13 songs are an aural treat firmly rooted in
established musical styles (rockabilly, r'n'b etc.). However, with Emanuela's
vocals you get "this weird distinctly non-American approach to
singing" creating a unique sound. With contributions including Spark
Phillips of Demented Are Go and mariachi horns courtesy of Calexico, a song
that makes you want to start throwing stuff around to and another reimagining
Blondie recording in the 50's, you have a very special album from a band that
is not only at ease with themselves but one that's at it's full creative tilt
and in the ascendant. The band are quite an online and vinyl phenomenon,
boosted by the My Love For Evermore single, a duet with Spark Phillips that
leads their Youtube takeover with over 20 million views. More recently they
issued an album 'The Sparky Sessions' |

Trips' (2011), the influential Oakland, California, indie-punk band, SAMIAM
returned to their signature sound reminiscent of fan favorite albums lumsy'
and stray'. Kicking off with the in-your-face track "80 West", jam
packed with heart-pounding drums and energetic guitars, SAMIAM have picked up
right where they left off without missing a stride. Ago Trips was the first

The
five Parisian Garage Rockers THE NORVINS, founded in 2004, have proven their
talent to us already with their debut album TIME MACHINE. Now it's time for
their second LP YOGA WITH MONA, which matches its predecessor in quality in
every way. THE NORVINS remained true to their style: With its catchy
organdriven melodies, wild guitars, a touch of harmonica, lead singer
Edouard's forceful voice and an authentic 60's sound, the album is once again
pure Garage Punk (not least because the band use original equipment). The
influence and love of 60's Garage rock and its hits, amongst others compiled
on NUGGETS or BACK FROM THE GRAVE, are clearly audible. "Monk's
Hangover" with the harmonica and "Keep me posted" with its
great beat remind one a bit of THE CHESTERFIELD KINGS, whereas "Scream
and Shout" and "Yoga with Mona" have an energy which is
comparable to GRAVEDIGGER V. Then again, "Better of dead" is a
slightly slower song with a psychedelic sound. Additionally, the album also
includes a "norvinesque" cover version of the classic "It's a
crying shame" by THE GENTLEMEN. Every one of the sixteen songs is a hit
and will definitely make you want to dance! This band has a raw energy, like
every rock'n'roll band should have it. Therefore, the new LP YOGA WITH MONA
by THE NORVINS (available as LP and CD) is a must have for every Garage
Punker |

BREW is a five piece band from Samara, Russia influenced by 60s Garage
andpsychedelic obscurities. These young Garage newcomers were infected with
60s sound in their teenage years already and ever since have been following
the sound of bands like THESEEDS, THE THIRTEENTH FLOOR ELEVATORS, THE MUSIC
MACHINE, THE VELVET UNDERGROUND and also the 80s Garage revival sound with a
passion. After having played in previous bands together (including THE
BLUEBEATS) MYSTIC BREW now release their very first 7 on SOUNDFLAT RECORDS in
the stylish Soundflat Records factory sleeve. Both songs of the single were
recorded with vintage equipment only, which is clearly audible in their
authentic sound. The A-side ,Your Reality" is a dreamy, harmonic and

"Dont Cry No More" is an uptempo-song with a catchy organ while the

Seven
- a number steeped in mystery and meaning, woven into the very fabric of time
and space. Throughout history, the number seven has stood as an immutable
symbol: from the days of the week to the alchemical metals, from the kings of
Rome to its seven hills. An archetype that unites astronomy, myth, and
ancient civilizations, finding its deepest expression in Rome. According to
legend, the Eternal City guarded seven sacred relics, the Pignora Imperii,
objects whose possession ensured divine protection, prestige, and political
authority. Ovid referred to them as the "pledges of power":
testimonies of Rome's Trojan heritage and its connection with peoples such as
the Sabines, Etruscans, and Greeks. These artifacts, now lost, were: I. Lo
scettro di Priamo II. Il velo di Iliona III. Il Palladio IV. Le ceneri di
Oreste V. Lo scudo ancile VI. La quadriga di Veio VII. L'ago di Cibele From
this mythology emerges the new project by Lykos Records: a narrative journey
in seven chapters, each dedicated to one of these relics, unfolding through
the various artists releases corresponding to catalogue numbers 7, 14, 21...
up to LYKOS-XLIX. Chapter I, "Lo scettro di Priamo" [LYKOS-VII], is
dedicated to the symbol of Troy's power, brought to Latium by Ilioneus on
Aeneas' command as a pledge of alliance and reconciliation. It is said to
have been kept on the Palatine Hill. To inaugurate this journey, seven Roman
artists - PixFoil, DJ Red, Brando Lupi, Luigi Tozzi, Feral, Sunday Bath, and
Worg - will give life to a sonic mosaic celebrating the musical heritage of
the capital. Their tracks will form a collective work that bridges
generations and diverse artistic visions. Each double vinyl will feature an
original illustration by Roberto Mulliri, wrapping the entire front and back
cover and included inside as a poster. Within the Pignora Imperii lies the
strength and power of Rome, witnesses of the city's epic saga; likewise,
Lykos Records weaves its destiny into the history of these sacred Roman

records made in 1980s Germany. Issued via his own Bremen-based imprint Crea

"Some
of my earliest musical memories were listening to my local pirate stations in
the early 90's. The signal was quite weak in my area, and the sound was
doused in FM static, creating this interesting amalgam of rhythm and noise. I
found a strange sort of comfort in this, often falling asleep while listening
to the radio, in bed, with my headphones on. The stations were run by young
people, no older than kids really, relayed from non-descript flats, scattered
around Bradford, Leeds, and the surrounding towns of West Yorkshire. The
setups were primitive, and the production quality (and often the mixing) were

tuned in because they were thirsty for something the legal stations could
never supply. These voices on the other side of the transmission were, for
many of us, a bridge into the future. One, which sadly, never really came to
be. Hardcore, Static: Pirate Transmissions From The North of England
1990-1994 is a celebration of this unique period in UK history. The North of
England feels overlooked during this time, with history's focus firmly gazed
on London. But the signal was everywhere. These pirate stations were crucial
for many young people, who were trying to find their place and identity in
the UK. Many of these transmissions, even the ones which were recorded onto
tape, have since become lost media, effectively erased from history. Radio,
at least in the analogue domain, isn't something most young people have any
experience with. Pirate radio was this unique flashpoint in time, and for me
at least, it was important enough for me to want pay my respects to it".

Atkinson announces new album SANS VISAGE, a reimagined score for Georges
Franju’s cult 1960 horror classic Les yeux sans visage (Eyes Without a Face),
out June 26 via VIERNULVIER Records. The news arrives alongside lead preview
“Les Yeux II” and follows her recently released collaborative album with
Christina Vantzou, Reflections Vol. 3: Water Poems, via RVNG Intl., as well
as her acclaimed solo releases Promenades and Space as an Instrument on
Shelter Press. Atkinson first saw Les yeux sans visage when she was a
teenager, around the turn of the century. The film made an impact for its
iconic imagery and the way Franju draws on the aesthetics of early
filmmaking, from its score that relies on stylistic markers typical of the
1940s or 50s to the decision to shoot in black and white. Even four decades
after its first release, it was clear that this was a work that stood outside
of the cultural moment that birthed it, speaking through time in ways that
were uncanny, but profound. A quarter-century later, Atkinson was approached
by the Belgian cultural center VIERNULVIER to create a new score for Les yeux
sans visage for its celebrated Videodroom series, which has seen artists like
claire rousay, Mabe Fratti, Lee Renaldo, and many more create new original
scores for cult classics and genre cinema. Atkinson's music, with its sublime
meditations on space and proximity, its elusive sense of narrative
development, mirrors the pacing and mystery at the heart of horror
filmmaking. There is a shadow at the heart of her soundtrack to Les yeux sans
visage, an ever-shifting wisp and an insinuation of encroaching
transfiguration. Echoing a climactic moment in the film, the music obliquely
points to "the Beyond," an impossible place of discovery and
revelation. Atkinson envisioned her music as something akin to the air moving
throughout and beyond the many cages that appear in the film, unconstrained
by the bars and with undefined borders. Those cages hold the victims of a
madman surgeon, determined to graft a new face onto his daughter, the
protagonist Christiane Génessier, who lost hers in a car accident while he
was behind the wheel. Atkinson was reminded of her predecessors at the
pioneering French studio the GRM, who approached sound in a less sinister,
but similarly surgical manner, and took inspiration from their playful
approach to cerebral soundmaking for the electroacoustic topography into
which the piano is embedded. As such, Atkinson’s reactions to the larger
themes and the minute-by-minute happenings onscreen are both audible
simultaneously. A film about a man who destroys the lives of young women
marked by their beauty and similarity to his daughter in a shame-fueled rage
has clear, continuous cultural resonance. "Through the music, I decided
to bring back their empowerment despite what they endure," says
Atkinson. "This is why the record is also dedicated to Gisèle Pelicot,
whose trial happened while I was in the process of composing the music and
kept thinking of her strength and her decision to share her trial in order to
reverse the shame." This recorded version of the soundtrack is a
34-minute synthesis of the full 90-minute score, presented on LP along with
an essay by writer-musician Claire Cronin and drawings by Momo Gordon,
together forming a complex reflection on the film's themes. If these sounds
move as if the bars of cages are no barrier, they also intimate the freedom
and power of those held behind them. Rather than simply mirroring the fear
and confinement shown onscreen, Atkinson offers an elusive escape, a beacon
for the characters, and the listener, to follow as they reckon with the

Rossi makes his Sine Space 7 debut with Vaalbara, a five-track vinyl EP
(including one vinyl-exclusive cut) that lands the Argentine producer firmly
in the label's hypnotic and driving orbit. Following recent releases on Soma
Records, MindTrip, and Secession, Rossi arrives with a record that feels both
unmistakably his and right at home in the Sine Space 7 catalogue. His
productions have already found support from the likes of DVS1, Richie Hawtin,
and Setaoc Mass. Opener Rodinia sets out raw and patient, with two rising
builds carried by strange synthetic patterns over a darkening drone. Title
track Vaalbara drifts on a modulating high synth line, locked into a hypnotic
lower-frequency pattern that pulls the two registers into quiet synergy.
Paramo keeps the floating quality but leans darker, with raw drums anchored
by finely distorted rides and a backbone of dense texture. A Quemarropa
pushes further into ear-candy territory. Distorted rides again, punctuated by
one strange, track-cracking sound that refuses to let the listener settle.
The vinyl-exclusive closer Mar Adentro is the weight-bearer, a rolling
low-end drive punctuated by a sub-heavy synthetic hit you feel in the chest.

Scuba returns with a vinyl-only EP for Record Store Day UK 2026. ‘Petrology’
covers the widest stylistic range of Scuba productions, and hints at the

Meaning
“soul friend” in Gaelic, Anamchara is a new compilation of buried treasure
from Nina Walsh’s colossal Woodleigh Research Facility archive. W.R.F. was
formed in 2015 by Nina and late studio partner Andrew Weatherall to help
wrangle the vast output recorded together beyond his solo releases.
Spotlighting nine tracks from the Apparently Solo series of EPs recorded
between 2016- 2019 and released on Bandcamp in 2023, this lustrous time
capsule marks the culmination of Walsh and Weatherall’s creative relationship
born after they clicked at London’s earliest acid house clubs, becoming
partners then managers of their Sabres Of Paradise/Sabrettes labels before
taking different paths by the late '90s. An accomplished musician, Nina had
learned the art of studio technology by the time they reunited and started
working together in 2012. Created at her Facility 4 Studio situated in the
dangerous, gang-ridden no man’s land between Streatham and Mitcham, Anamchara
captures the super-prolific creative stretch starting in 2015 that produced
Weatherall’s Convenanza and Qualia solo sets, W.R.F.’s The Phoenix Suburb
(And Other Stories) plus a whole lot more. According to Nina, Andrew
envisioned the spectacular ‘Borderland’ as natural successor to ‘Smokebelch’,
his most revered track. When it came to his remix, Nina enlisted renowned
viola virtuoso Sarah Sarhandi and composed new harmonies with Pachelbel’s
Canon in D Minor in mind. The set also catches the breakthrough period when,
through Nina’s careful coaxing, Andrew started using the computer system
she’d set up to better express his musical visions by arranging the elements,
grooves and melodies she sent him. Still considered the UK’s greatest
DJ-producer, Andrew’s arrangements were inspired by his club-igniting sets.
“This allowed me to mix the colours for his palette whilst he was painting
the picture,” says Nina. Anamchara straddles the gamut of musical styles
explored by W.R.F. at this time, from slower paced psychedelic “drug chug”
outings ‘We Two’. ‘Heat To Meat Ratio’, ‘Hidden Watchers Part 1’ to banging
acid house and techno sometimes inspired by the violence outside the studio
door, including ‘SCHLAP’, ‘Crack-Ed’ and churning acid juggernaut ‘Yacidik’
(“After much dangling of the acid carrot, Andrew took a bite and, after one
familiar raised eyebrow, never looked back,” says Nina). Many tracks fly
elements from the enormous sonic library Nina inherited from late partner
Erick Legrand that she called The Akashic Library of Sound. Marking Andrew’s
2016 admission into the vault, ‘Rattly Old Puffin’ boasts Erick’s psychedelic
guitar and tumbling drum loop Weatherall would run with, including on
‘Borderland’. “Erick was like our third member,” says Nina. Bringing down the
curtain, ‘Alma’’s exquisitely poignant melody that unfolds over thirteen
time-stopping minutes was composed by Nina while navigating Erick’s birth and
departure date anniversaries to accompany Andrew’s reading from Gordon Burn’s
1991 same-named novel at 2018’s Durham Literary Festival. Burn’s novel
imagines early 60s popstrel Alma Cogan, who succumbed to cancer in 1966
surviving to reflect on fame. “Now it just makes me think of Erick. And every
time I hear those well-placed cymbal crashes I can only think of the Captain
himself.” A beautiful grand finale for this astonishing selection of pure
gold from the vaults |

Motorised Instinct drives over to Dark Entries with At Last I’m Leaving the
Earth, an LP of industrial-tinged ambient and new age. When legendary
industrial outfit Nagamatzu went dormant in 1991, band member Stephen Jarvis
moved forward with Pure Motorised Instinct, a name he pulled from a line in
George Romero’s Dawn of the Dead. Throughout two cassette albums - 1991’s
Between Intimacy and Elsewhere, and 1993’s Everything Is True - Jarvis pushed
the Nagamatzu spirit in new directions. At Last I’m Leaving the Earth
collects 9 tracks from this era, which are appearing on vinyl for the first
time, along with 3 additional tracks on a bonus CD. The material here sits
between the brooding and the optimistic, the claustrophobic and the
soporific. Jarvis’s digital synths are pushed so far into tape-scuffed

Tallinn-based artist Maksim Adel. Over the last 2 decades Maksim has forged
his own language of production. His music, consisting of distinctive palettes
of rhythm and harmony, spans a wide breadth of electronic styles - always
guided by a conscious approach of sharing a melodious message. He maintains a
constant intention of treating sound as a living medium, in order to guide
listeners through storytelling. He focuses on emotion through low
frequencies, evolving from the foundations of deep dubstep into broader sonic
