Tred's
bio is a simple one. It reads "high power, deep emotion", and that
about sums up the Tred aesthetic. The Aussie born, Germany based producer has
been behind some of contemporary hard dance's most exciting anthems, and
follows up a release on 1O Pills Mate with this epic four-tracker for Lobster
Theremin. Capturing all the frantic energy of a Tred set, I'm Not Like Other
PPL gets underway with the title track - a punishing cut of stripped back,
high velocity techno. Old horror film vocal samples induce an old school,
psychedelic experience from within as the track builds and builds towards its
imminent climax. 'Dead Droid' maintains a spooky feel throughout, it's
off-key atmospherics and marching rhythm channeling that deep emotion that
Tred does so well, before 'Secrets' strays down a more melodic route with its
trancey stabs and hands-inthe-hair energy, unting the worlds of hard and
soft. 'Don't Need A Thing' ventures further into this trance-world, with an
albeit heavier cut than its predecessor. This is in-your-face hardcore trance
- not for the faint hearted, for those that wish to totally immerse
themselves in complete rave escapism |

Before making his name in industrial
hardcore, Celsius was a jungle DJ and MC. Born and raised in Switzerland to
an English family, he would spend every summer in the UK as a teenager,
soaking up the emerging sounds of UK rave, collecting jungle and happy
hardcore records, and recording mixtapes from UK pirate radio stations. This
was 1992, the year zero for Celsius. Performing as DJ Celsius as early as
1993, he became one of Switzerland's first jungle DJs, playing and hosting
mostly illegal raves in Lausanne - all before the age of 18. Turntablism and
MCing soon followed. Celsius' earliest productions featured samples of old
hardcore tapes from the UK and the Netherlands. Now, 30 years and several
musical identities later, Celsius is circling back to his roots with 1992: a
breakbeat rave concept album exploring the the genesis of hardcore, written
with '90s analog recording equipment for that genuine time capsule
experience. No nostalgia, just pure Ardkore Vibes! |

Before the Subhumans released
their first EP Demolition War in late 1981 on Spiderleg Records, they
released three demos Parts 1-III recorded in a lo-fi manner in their home
town Warminster at the Old Bell and the Youth Centre. These were joined
together and released as one tape on Dick's Bluurg tape label in early 1981.
24 tracks that feature versions of songs that became the first EP and the
legendary The Day the Country Died album. These are in a raw and untouched by
any production value. It's rough and ready and absolutely essential
listening. It also includes three unreleased songs the Subhumans never went
back and re-recorded. The album comes housed in a gatefold sleeve with lyrics
plus a poster featuring a collage of photos and fanzine interviews from this
very early era of the Subhumans |

RECORDS and the second on HOWLIN BANANA; both of them sold out already) and
having played at numerous 60s-festivals all around Europe, THE CAVEMEN V can
truly be called one of the best among todays Garagepunk-bands. SOUNDFLAT
RECORDS now proudly present to you their third 7" "Ive Been
Waitin", covered in the classy Soundflat Records factory sleeve.
However, this single shows a slightly new facet of these energetic Frenchmen,
as the band go more into the rhythmnblues-direction this time with a touch of
exotica and of course a dosis of Garagepunk in it, too. The A-side "Ive
Been Waitin" has the typical BO DIDDLEY-rhythm, and with its powerful
saxophone and singer Ians characteristic voice it reminds one a little of
Londons rhythmnblues-punk-sensation KING SALAMI & THE CUMBERLAND THREE.
The B-side is a coverversion of SAM THE SHAM & THE PHARAOHS "Sorry
Bout That" and carries across a fun party-attitude, again with a cheeky
saxophone and a loud-voiced and exciting, rockin sound. You just wont be able

on Mutual Rytm's sub-label, X. Deetron is one of the most respected producers
of his time. From sleek house to deep techno, he brings impeccable sound
designs and melodic elegance to his work while remaining true to his
authentic signature sound. He always delivers, whether landing via labels
like Ilian Tape under his Soulmate guise or via the likes of Axis and Music
Man, and that quality is on show once again as he brings the class on this
new EP via the sub-label of SHDW's Mutual Rytm. First up, 'Translate Rhythms'
layers jazzy, de-tuned melodies into a quick and slick deep techno groove.
It's a colourful and playful sound with a serious impact. 'Cause' is a more
heads-down and moody sound with walls of drums and bass rolling beneath raw
percussive loops and tight vocal stabs that ramp up the energy levels. The
fantastic 'Move' brings grainy pads, inescapable bass weight and bulky drum
loops to make for an immovable wedge of serious concrete techno funk. Last is

Rendezvous is a rare, dub techno track released by Nao AKA DJ Compufunk from
Compufunk Records in Osaka. Working under the name Lovegod for the first and
only time, he created a timeless epic for a live set at the legendary, short-lived
underground club "United Underground ??? (Tsurunoma)". Now revived 20 years later by Richard
Akingbehin’s Kynant Records, Priori contributes a dreamy rework and Janeret
slows it down into a crisp dub version to complete the EP. Written &

Rodion-Ladislau Rosca spent his
lifetime creating music that was ambitious, groundbreaking and innovative. He
was a pioneering composer, a talented multi-instrumentalist and producer. He
pushed musical boundaries to their limits. This he did as a solo artist and
with his group Rodion G.A. Despite being popular in their native Romania,
Rodion G.A. had to work under an oppressive Communist regime only releasing
two tracks that appeared on a compilation album in 1981. Rodion, however,
made extensive recordings in his home studio. This new collection of material
recorded between 1981 and 2017 is taken from that archive. Rodion died in
2021 aged 67. He has also been described as "the Godfather of Romanian
electronic music." |

"The
electroclash genre sure has been having a bit of a renaissance moment. During
its first coming an odd 25 years ago the French act Sweetlight was a favorite
over here. Originally active between 2002 and 2010, they quickly positioned
themselves within a refined strand of the global underground scene: inspired
by 90s acid house club culture, they rose to prominence by releasing a sparse
selection of original tracks and a multitude of remixes that were both
dancefloor-effective and immediately recognizable. After the EPs stopped
coming, the project seemed to have faded. But their tracks never left our
bag: they combined minimalism with ambiguous elegance and retained a
distinct, timeless quality, easily transcending the turn-of-the-century style
they were most closely associated with. We are delighted, in what we consider
nothing less than a full-circle moment, to release "Selected Recordings:
2004 - 2006" and shed light on an underrated yet, in our eyes,
absolutely essential project. ALT022 is an anthology release featuring four
extensive, remastered cuts. Abusator, arguably the act's hallmark track and a
crossover hit, kicks off the EP. It is joined by Mecaniques Remontees, which
opened the milestone Suck My Deck mix by Ivan Smagghe, and Too Shy, both
initially part of the same EP back in 2004. Noir Comme Le Beat, an unreleased
curiosity from the same era, closes the record. You will find dark, endless,
ever-modulating arpeggiator basses, Detroit-via-Paris chord progressions, and
spartan drums. The work is, in the artists' own words, low-profile,
detail-oriented, and built for late hours. It's an ideal compilation or -
depending on the case - introduction, especially now that new work is rumored
to be finally on its way." |

Detroit
producer, Shawescape Renegade, comes to Tresor Records with Exoframe, a
five-track EP of pure techno and electro, including a remix by Arpanet. As
with so many forerunners and peers in the Detroit techno world, Shawescape
Renegade, is a deep thinking and a world-building story teller and Exoframe
uses the traditional sci-fi narrative to explore recent thought Shaw has had
on the potential hidden costs of technological evolution: what happens when
overspecialisation leads to a dead end; when inflexibility means a return to
the old forms becomes difficult. The EP opens with 78 Light Years From Earth,
an effects-laden slab of electro that pulls the percussion into other
dimensions. Mechanus 9 brings a techno edge before Terraformers Warning
unleashes a bass-driven beast. A fast-paced remodel of Terraformer’s Warning
from Gerald Donald’s Arpanet project follows, before the EP is closed out
with another bassline-forward track, Ignition One, an updated version of the
Shawescape cut that soundtracked the section of the Black To Techno
documentary focussed on the Detroit’s Jit dance scene. The strong symbiosis
between Jit and Techno is a foundational part of Detroit’s culture and a
community tie and suggests that while technology may lead to stagnation, the
cultural muscle memory offers a path back to authenticity. In a thoughtful
nod to the praxis of the DJ, the vinyl versions of A1 & B1 are five BPM
slower than the digital, moving the music to between 128BPM and 151BPM on a
standard Technics turntable and opening it up for play in a greater range of
club environs. It’s this deep respect for the artistry and traditions of
Detroit’s longstanding music and dance scenes that mark Shawescape Renegade
out as one of the true inheritors of the city’s heritage |

Applying
the solid structures of floor-focused Berlin techno to the expressive space
of introspective electronica, Answer Code Request returns to Delsin with his
first album in eight years. Halo finds Patrick Gr?ser broadening his sound
palette more than ever before, matching atmospheric synthesis with dynamic
beat constructions true to his impressive legacy while breaking new ground.
Across Halo, smoky clouds of pads and chords lend the album an introspective
quality in the grand tradition of ambient techno. In front of these haunting
melodic forms, Gr?ser is free to explore all manner of rhythmic directions.
There are fractured, downtempo micro beats and angular fractals on the likes
of 'Fading Shadows' and 'Refraction' that take their cues from breakbeat --
finely detailed drum sequences constantly evolving into new arrangements. A
pointed nod to D&B rears its head on the aptly named, hard-edged
'Fracture' and you might hear a firmly submerged hint of ravey acid coursing
under 'Sublith'. Elsewhere, the firmer kick-anchored pulse of the classic
Answer Code Request sound manifests for more forthright techno excursions
such as 'Halo' and 'Bliphar'. In the context of the album, though, these
tougher tropes are channeled into mesmerising soundscapes that soften the
attack without diminishing the potential for club impact. In this era of his
craft, Gr?ser moves instinctively through the sounds and approaches that
inspire him, and the end result is an album that feels natural and open, all
the while steadily progressing the ongoing evolution of Answer Code Request |

formed from members of Chicago's emo band Braid, included Bob Nanna, Todd
Bell, Mark Dawursk, and Damon Atkinson. They debuted with a self-titled EP
(Polyvinyl Records ) in 2000 and followed up with extensive touring and two
full-length albums: Everynight Fire Works (Vagrant Records) in 2001 and Loses
Control (Vagrant Records) in 2003 along with two more EP’s: The Weekend EP
(Vagrant Records) in 2002 and Unorchestrated (Grand Theft Autumn) in 2004.
Dawursk left at the end of 2001 and was replaced by Mike Shumaker. After 359
shows and several releases, the band disbanded in April 2005.They played a
reunion show in 2007 and celebrated the 15th anniversary of Everynight Fire
Works in 2016 with a remastered re-release and select live performances. In
2025, the band made their live comeback at Las Vegas's second annual Best
Friends Forever Festival and will continue to play more shows in 2026. In
March 2026, Polyvinyl Records will reissue the complete Hey Mercedes catalog.
With several EPs and albums currently out of print, this release will provide
Hey Mercedes fans with the opportunity to obtain every Hey Mercedes title on

The
fifteenth release from electro label Gladio Operations once again brings us a
multi-artist format, featuring new faces and a distinctly Spanish flavour.
This EP opens with the return of producer Cycloplex, with his characteristic
minimalist sound. This track, titled ‘EP01-A’, once again showcases his
powerful and aggressive bass lines. From Gerona comes one of the new and
talented artists on the Spanish electro scene. David Pasajero makes his debut
on Gladio Operations with ‘Dislektro’, a fluid journey of melodies and warm
textures infused with acidic touches. On the B-side we find Barcelona
producer Dark Vektor, who needs no introduction, as he is one of the Spanish
icons of electro sound. This artist also makes his debut on the label with
‘Te Voy A Dar Ahhhhh’, a dizzying track with suspenseful melodies and a
powerful bass line that will keep you on the dance floor no matter what. The
Spanish duo Slit Observers is another of the label’s new faces and treats us
to this vibrant track titled ‘Green Machine’, where we encounter dark
passages with a perfect dose of acid and embellished with subtle vocoders.
The EP closes with a collaboration between German producers Intergalactic
Noize Commander and Elektrotechnik, the latter an artist who has released
music previously. ‘Informationen’ is a rough track, created in the most
hidden German bunkers, featuring arpeggios and robust bass lines that
dominate throughout the whole track, accompanied by gloomy vocals |

Lebanon to collaborate with artists such as trip-hop legend Zeid Hamdan and

The
debut release by Confusion on Incompetence Records documents an exercise in
disciplined spontaneity, a jam session where organic interaction is
rigorously shaped into form. Recorded live in Belgrade by Dmitrii Steinberg,
Aleksei Siubaev, Viktor Volkovich, Evgenii Piankov, and Leonid Lipelis, the
material was subsequently dissected and reassembled with a scalpel like
precision reminiscent of Teo Macero's landmark edits for Miles Davis. What
emerges is not a loose improvisational document but a suite of cohesive
constructed pieces: weightless structures suspended over a hypnotic pulse,
steeped in cosmic vibes and soft psychedelia. There is a slo mo insistence to
the grooves, a kosmiche drift that folds jazz funk rituals into something
both intimate and expansive. For musicians previously orbiting rare groove,
house, indie rock, and modern composition, Confusion expands their
explorations into a terrain where genre dissolves into texture and intention.
The record's mesmerizing beauty lies in its restraint, motifs surface,
dissolve, and return as if refracted through magnetic tape memory, each
fragment locked into place yet breathing with human elasticity. Rather than
presenting virtuosity, the quintet channels it into atmosphere, into a
patient, glowing continuum that feels less like a jam and more like a
carefully mapped inner cosmos, calibrated for deep listening and slow
revelation |

Gorizont
Sobytiy (Event Horizon), the duo of veteran electronic musician Nocow and his
wife, DJ Designer, mark the project's debut with an album worth of material
of 'frogg-step' / Pankratov Step. It's safe to say this is an intriguing
proposition for even those well-initiated into the world of the contemporary
Russian underground. What is perhaps most immediately obvious across the 11
tracks is a clear appreciation for golden-era Rephlex records, as if the duo
are reflecting on how the iconic label was perceived in the Eastern bloc at
the time. There's a nostalgic touch tugging at the heart strings with the
warm ambient tones of 'Bananoivy Twist' or even the ballroom-esque organ
melodies of follow up 'Chacha', both swiftly followed by a switch back into
frantic gabber style kicks that recur across the album. To give a little more
away in terms of a background story, Nocow and DJ Designer draw influence
from a film called Winter Evening in Gagra, a somewhat distant feeling
artefact of late-Soviet cinema about a tap dancing champion's late nights
spent gallivanting across the glitz of Moscow's pop music scene in the 1980s.
Maximalist in its sound design, Pankratov Step draws its name from
actor-protagonist Pankratov, not quite an out-of-time soundtrack as such but
at the least a wry nod to the former world in which the film takes place. The
cascading, brittle synthesis of 'Cemetry's Boss' forms an icy cinematic
fusion again with a gabber influence at play whilst a fierce acid line works
alongside myriad glitch rhythms and repeating keys on 'Octopus Werk'.
Influenced by the local humour and sentimentality surrounding the film, a
melodrama with themes of lost art and a kind of old-world transcendence the
young circus performer yearns for, the duo use it as a vessel to describe the
projects sound - a coalescing of vintage Soviet soundtracks, early IDM, Jake
Slazenger and Expert Knob Twiddlers album. 'Pankratov-Step' becoming their
own fictional genre. The LP marks another avant-garde chapter in Nocow's long
back catalogue, as well as a fully formed collaborative debut for the
currently enigmatic DJ Designer. Pankratov Step is the second release on GOST
ZVUK sub-label MEMONT, curated by Kuzma Palkin |

Performed and recorded live by
Aaron Funk using only a modular synthesizer, the album is built without
overdubs or edits. Each piece is constructed from scratch, then dismantled
once recorded. Funk focuses on interchangeable structures and substructures,
shaping fluid, "humanised" rhythms and allowing patches to
interrupt and redirect each other into unexpected progressions. Multiple
takes of each composition resulted in markedly different versions, several of
which appear here for the first time. A key work in Funk's catalogue,
Traditional Synthesizer Music highlights his fascination with modular systems
alongside the complex drums and unusual time signatures that define his
output, from breakcore landmarks to acid experiments as Last Step and
collaborations with Hecate, Joanne Pollock, Daniel Lanois and John Frusciante |

In
a landslide of writhing textures and hypnotic rhythm, prolific techno
explorer DOLTZ. returns to DJ Nobu's Bitta imprint for an expansive album
that foregrounds his skill creating living, breathing soundscapes out of pure
synthesis. Since debuting in 2020, Shun Watanabe has issued a steady stream
of LPs and EPs that quickly established him at the forefront of techno
innovation in the Japanese scene. It was natural then for him to forge a
connection with DJ Nobu's celebrated Bitta label via 2024 release Inception
EP, a forthright club-focused statement to balance out his more experimental
output on Muzan Editions and other labels. Elsewhere, Watanabe has also been
developing a fruitful collaboration with German techno veteran Tobias Freund,
resulting in two bold yet elegant albums on Dutch label Delsin. On Final
Trace, the DOLTZ. sound is steered with purpose towards tactile sonic terrain
where microscopic detail rewards the patient listener. He explains a core
inspiration for the album was Kobo Abe's avant-garde 1960s novel Woman In The
Dunes, which drew on repetition and the quiet madness of an inescapable
environment. That manifests as a forbidding demeanour that courses throughout
Final Trace, detectable in every slithering trail of static interference and
mind-warping tonal loop. This is expertly sculpted wormhole techno of the
highest calibre, delivered by an artist with the creative spark to make
something visceral and thrilling out of a technically advanced approach. The
power of Final Trace lies in the subtlety of its progression as a seemingly
incessant refrain slowly morphs before your ears, but this is far from a
static album. From the mesmerising throb and thrilling crescendo of 'Faz' to
the sprightly ripples and pulses darting across 'Resonance', there is a
constant sense of movement and the bright-eyed wonder of new ground being

of old-school dance music with fresh spirit. Sitting somewhere between house
and techno, it sets the tone with a particular kind of hypnosis, taking the
listeners deep into the endlessly circling groove. Elli Acula follows with
'Take One Higher', a fierce and uncompromising techno track that perfectly
reflects the label's hallmark aesthetic. She channels the raw energy of the
90s through a modern lens, pairing rough edged stabs, cavernous kicks and
gritty percussion programmed with unfiltered dancefloor intensity in mind.

The South Yorkshire city has churned out some benchmarks in electronic music
over the years and the tradition seems to be continuing, judging by the new

lineage can be traced in the 4 tracker, it is not ever classic or pastiche.
The spacious dancefloor stompers hit more of an old U.K. Techno vibe and
sometimes even venture towards John Carpenter soundtracks in mood and

Dextro returns for second EP of stylish deep techno on Mutual Rytm with
'Planets And Stars'. Dextro's tunes have long been a staple of Mutual Rytm
label head SHDW's sets, with the esteemed veteran previously landing on the
label with his 'Covil Dos Abutres' EP last year. His return with 'Planets And
Stars' features a selection of his most requested IDs from recent times, with
the Portuguese DJ/producers featuring as a longstanding favourite within the
European underground since the 90s through his stripped-back, economical
sound that is rooted in masterful design and intuitive grooves. He is a true
studio craftsman, whether going deep or more destructive, and that range is
