A collection of Regis material
will be re-released by Blackest Ever Black on a new compilation titled
Manbait. The compilation primarily collects remixes and original material put
out on Blackest Ever Black over the past few years. The vinyl version, a double-LP,
features eight tracks, including Regis reworks of Ike Yard, Dalhous, Vatican
Shadow and more, plus original cuts "Blinding Horses" (which
appeared on Regis's first Blackest Ever Black release back in 2010) and
"C U 1" (originally released on a self-titled Downwards sublabel).
Several previously unreleased tracks also make it onto the vinyl, including
an alternate version of Tropic Of Cancer's "Plant Lilies At My
Head" and a remix of Family Sex's "Manbait." A handful of
extras appear on the 12-track CD and digital versions, too. One of Regis's
best-known Blackest Ever Black cuts, 2010's "Blood Witness," gets a
re-release, bundled with several additional takes on "Blinding
Horses." |

There’s
no denying it, we’re thrilled to present the next release on EPM Music – a
double-header from the M-Plant master himself. Further still, for the first
time this EP unites Hood’s two dancefloor personalities on a brand new
release. With one track as Robert Hood and the other under his Floorplan
alias we certainly get the best of both worlds. Off the back of his
comprehensive celebratory compilation, ‘M-Print: 20 Years of M-Plant Music’
and a gruelling gig schedule, the fact that Hood still finds time to make
astounding new music is testament to his unique talent and drive. After all
it’s a calling for this maestro. ‘Shaker’ immerses you in those late-night
moments when Robert graces the decks. It’s pulsating and hypnotic;
stripped-back to the essentials. The beats, the groove, the perfectly placed
vocal snippet – nothing is superfluous here. Robert’s Floorplan touch is all
over ‘Ritual’. A shuffling Chi-town flavour, trademark hi-hats and a beast of
a bassline underlies the track, with elegant synths that build to dizzying
heights. This is certainly one release that deserves a double-A-side tag |

Kynant
Records looks first to a techno veteran in Max Durante. Max has been active
for over 25 years and is regarded as one of the pioneers of Italian techno
and electro. Having recently joined the ranks of Adam X’s Sonic Groove
imprint, Max continues to command a strong presence in the wider techno
scene. His first offering on Kynant is ‘Black Light’, a four-track EP of deep
and physical, avant-garde techno. The A-side begins with the swung drums,
drone and perc of ‘Black Light’ and continues the distorted, broken-beat
theme with ‘Solar Request’. On the flip, ‘Biocentrism’ is more direct with
its bleeps, sharp high-end percussion and weighty 4x4 kick. The master of
hypnotic techno Donato Dozzy provides a remix of ‘Biocentrism’, looping the
feedback into a powerful groove for the DJs.Mastered by Neel (EnissLab
Studio, Rome), an esteemed producer/engineer in his own right and Donato
Dozzy’s partner in Voices From The Lake. Pressed onto 180g, 12” vinyl at
Optimal Media, Germany. Packaged in a house sleeve. All artwork designed by

member Robert Hood is a true icon in technomusic, with releases on legendary
imprints such as Tresor, Axis, Peacefrog,Logistic and his own label M-Plant.
Hoodmusic 2 is the follow up to his 2005debut on Music Man. 'Still Hear' is a
typical Hood styled techno burner, oldschool minimal so to speak. We are very
proud to be able to offer a remix bythe legendary Los Hermanos on the B-side.
'School' might be the funkiestminimal techno cut we heard in years, pure
dancefloor material! Wicked!! |

The track titles on Kamikaze Space
Programme's latest offering for Mote-Evolver are taken from the chilling
techno-criticism and dystopian visions of the late J.G. Ballard's fiction, a
thinker whose work has always lent itself well to music on the razor's edge
of modernity. Keep in mind, though, that this is no simple tribute to that
mastermind of speculative fiction, but a translation of his highwire suspense
and hyper-modern aesthetics into rhythmic and incisive electronic music. The
leadoff track "High Rise" is an adrenalized and twitchy creation
built around a shuddering bass riff and a cleverly corroded set of intense
percussive hits, aided by elevator shaft ambience and what seem like eerily
obscured vocal samples. In short, it's the perfect backing music for a very
cautious trudge through a tower block presided over by unnamed and ominous
forces. The follow-up "Low Flying Aircraft" is another strong take
on this affective mix of anxiety and release; its motif of tactile 'slamming
door' percussion and metallic accents making listeners envision a
labyrinthine complex full of rigidly enforced secrets and classified

The
exceptional music mechanic Robert Hood is firmly back in business for 2011,
kick-starting the new decade with more M-Plant excellence. James Ruskin takes
a break from an impressive release offensive on his own Blueprint label to
remix 'Alpha', the first single that was taken from 'Omega', Robert Hood's
concept album of last year, which not only received immense support from the
current tech-loving club and radio DJ fraternity but also gathered top rated
reviews across international press. The remix adds a touch of Ruskin magic to
this A-side. While maintaining the essence of Hood's initial track, James
provides a fresh outlook that is sure to be as well received as the original.
This grooving percussive workout just exudes quality. Over on the B-side Hood
delivers a brand new track called 'The Family'. This is classic Robert Hood
with its unrelenting rhythm, powerful bassline and a good dose of the funk.
While most of us struggle through the cold, this will be firing up
dancefloors the world over. Hood fans will not be disappointed |

For
the next release on M-Plant, Robert Hood revisits his Floorplan moniker,
delivering three new tracks as the 'Sanctified' extended player. With
Floorplan, Robert Hood blends techno elements with disco, house and soul to
create a real party vibe. He first introduced it in the mid 90s with 'Funky
Souls', originally on his own Drama sub-label but re-released last year.
While more recently his 'Move It' track as Floorplan was a major highlight on
EPM Music's 10th anniversary compilation, 'EPM10'. On 'Sanctified EP', 'We
Magnify His Name' is a classic example of the Floorplan ethos. Hood layers
gospel vocals and a joyous atmosphere over a funked out disco backbone. 'Baby
Baby' will have dancefloors jumping too, with its clipped, staccato vox and
pumping bassline, taking it back to that tracky Chicago sound for this party
pleaser. The EP ends on 'Basic Principle', the techiest of the three tracks,
though still removed from Hood's usual dark minimal techno; as Floorplan this
is more like dark house.2011 has also seen Robert take this sound further
onto the dancefloor with special Floorplan DJ sets, rocking the likes of
fabric (London) and Panorama Bar (Berlin). Talking to EPM prior to the German
gig |

It's a rare moment in the life of Robert
Hood's M-Plant label when he hands over to another producer, but no surprise
that he should pick Mark Broom for the next release, seeing as he's
previously been entrusted to provide edits of Hood's tracks for the label's
20th Anniversary celebrations (MPM19) and is currently tearing up dancefloors
with his unreleased dubplate mix of Floorplan's 'Never Grow Old'. The original version of 'Stunned' was
released on Mark Broom & Dave Hill's renowned Pure Plastic label back in
1997. The "97 Mix" featured here started as a live mix of the
track, which Mark has now tweaked for maximum dancefloor devastation. It's accompanied on the flip side by a
brand new composition of equally outstanding quality. Broom is in fine form
on 'Decay' with his tight production skills delivering the kind of tough, raw
Techno that sits perfectly on M-Plant |

journey in Portuguese-tribute to Horror Brazilian Filmmaker Ze do Caixao and
all the vampires movies that have accompanied us as teenagers such as Dracula
and the Likes. Somewhere between dirty house, krautrock and deviant techno,
it is an uplifting track made for the dancefloor . The three remixes are
following the track's original path pushing it to its edges: Andrew
Claristidge from Acid Washed has given an interesting version both deviant
and cinematographic, the Club Bizarre duet is offering a more techno version
with obsessive bells while legendary techno producer David Carretta is
immerging us into a new beat and rather technoish hypnotic tune. The result
is a perfect DJ tool -worth trying on the dance floor in the middle of the

Token
has been something of a mainstay for Inigo Kennedy ever since their very
first release back in 2007. In the past eight years, we have seen a flurry of
inspiring releases from the producer, each crafted with more finesse than the
last. Last year, Token also saw the release of the Vaudeville LP. Here,
Kennedy carved out a space in which to take on a more considered approach,
thus allowing the experimental side of his sound to blossom. Clarion Call is
Kennedy's first release since 2014's Vaudeville, returning to the EP format
with poise. The EP itself covers wide sonic ground in a short amount of time.
It opens with pads that swell to euphoric heights, before crashing into a
jittering hyper-sequenced groove. 'The Fold' lumbers forward in an off-centre
rhythmic direction, wrong-footing the beat at every turn. But yet, the kicks
on 'Kepler' land on the eardrums like boxing gloves to the face. Each thump
gives the right-hook-left-hook treatment to the stereo-field. By the end,
Kennedy's percussive workout has reached its climax, and the fragments that
remain recede into the surroundings |

A new four track EP by Hexagon
aka Conforce on his own imprint. Doing what he does best. Making deep
imaginary techno music with otherworldly authentic atmospheres without any
concessions. The title track sucks you into desolate interstellar territories
paying hommage to 606 rhythms with emotive strings on top that determine the
total atmosphere of this killer advanced electro cut. Human meets machine in
it's purest form. Pitch Black leans on accurate programmed heavy broken
percussive patterns and is the most functional track of the EP. Functional
but it's haunting atmosphere lifts this to a different dimension. Continuum
dives deeper into sonic territory with a mysterious stealth missional vibe
caused by it's unpredictable sparkling crispy effects and mysterious pads.
Systematic Repetition leans on pulsating modular bleeps and dubby basses and
is the most techno orientated cut of the whole EP. It wouldn't be a Conforce
record if there weren't any strings and pads attached to it |

Available for the first time in
its entirety on vinyl is the 1989 debut album by Detroit industrial techno
band Final Cut produced by Jeff Mills and Anthony Srock.Recorded prior to
Mills' departure from the project Deep Into The Cut marks a significant moment
in the convergence of the classic industrial aesthetic and the emerging sound
of Detroit techno. The release serves as a window into this unique moment
evoking both the transgressive spirit of European industrial music and the
raw militant power of early Underground Resistance. Across the eleven tracks
the album affronts a message of sonic urgency and still stands as a landmark
statement of the industrial techno sound.Remastered in Berlin by Rashad
Becker the release presents the full album as a double vinyl release for the
first time. Deep Into The Cut is reissued by We Can Elude Control |
