Many electronic producers make
music that sounds like the future. Alavux is making the future and has carved

This 5th release consists of
three tracks made by the twin duo Manic Brothers, one edited by Petter B.
They have during their relativity short career proven themselves as worthy
keepers of the Swedish techno heritage with big releases on Drumcode a.o. What
they bring to Bond on this release is their signature big room sound but with
a much more simplified approach than previously heard. On the a-side there
are two great tool tracks with lots of space for creative interpretation for
a DJ. On the flip there are a long and epic track with a massive vocal
breakdown. Groove based but yet with a big and strong hook. The label Bond is
the brainchild of Swedish techno DJ and producer Petter B. The concept of the
label is 'music by DJs for DJs'. The label focuses on releasing tracks that
enable the DJ, rather than the producer, to be creative. It is based on that
special bond which is created every time a DJ combines tracks, loops and
sounds live into something new and unique |

One of the two The Other People
Place releases (the Warp full length and this 12). Drexciyan involvement in
this classic release is obvious. One of the deepest and intense tracks with
such a warm positive vibe. Flipside contains a track by Mystic Tribe. (not
very mystical of course for those who know the history of Detroit techno.
Unique track from a unique project... and there are not many projects with
Tribe in its name. Their release on Retroactive is one Detroit techno
collector items). One of those records that get you through the day.

Paradygm
Shift, the first Robert Hood album to be released since 2012. A staggering
record of techno dynamite sees the Detroit legend excelling at what he does
best. The record serves as a milestone for the Dutch label Dekmantel,
celebrating its tenth anniversary, with the label's 50th release. Paradygm
Shift is return to the distinguished style that defined Robert Hood's music
in the early 90s. It is the older, and more mature brother to Hood's classic
Minimal Nation, highlighting his more evolved, technical craftsmanship, It is
an album of crisp, smooth and delicately orchestrated techno that is
quintessentially minimal in focus, and grandiose in sound, juxtaposed with
electronic funk, wrapped up in blisteringly urgent, and honest, pulsating
techno. The LP is the culmination of a three EP series released on Dekmantel.

Spanish
techno master Reeko makes his mark on Detroit Underground with a release
exploring the darker facets of humanity in mesmerizing fashion, with rhythm
and drone taking equal importance. "Lovers and Bandits" sets side A
off with a brutal broken march, hard kicks building slowly into caverns of
sonic noise. "BDSM" twists the sounds of pleasure and pain into an
endless dark delay, leading you to the edge and right into "Hard Sex
Club", roiling with indecipherable voices and a hovering synth build
that teases but never quite strikes. Side B straightens the beat with
"Slaughter", a searing background noise underpinning an evolving
rotation of menace that pushes the beats forward into a pit of noise and
sludge. "Sex With God" is a fierce techno rhythm, wet, crunchy, and
percussive without the ubiquitous kick drum, building to a crescendo of heat
and buzz. Finally, "Submissive Behavior" is a massive paranoid
drone, prickly with hunger and menace. On "We Are Bandits", Reeko
strips down his explorations of sound and texture to the barest essences,

There
was a time when to die was something slightly different from what it is
today. Back in the last days of the middle age, some hidden monk was
concerned about how to die properly, according to the catholic standarts of
that era, so he wrote a book that was a cornerstone in that period. This has
been the leitmotiv and ispiration in the concept that drives this album, the
Ars Moriendi book from 1415, a book that gave some clues about how to die
properly, avoiding lack of faith, despair, impatience, avarice or spiritual
pride, all those actually track titles in this compendium. Album starts with
Impatience a short atmospheric drone sets the path to post industrial mayhem,
based on a continuous and obsessive metallic sequence that drives the angst
over a dirty rhythm workout until the textures go on top after several bars.
Rules of behaviour breaks the beat into metallic hits as starting point, then
more percussive layers add to the main beat until the dark pads take over
mixing hate with beauty on a grey canvas. Despair return to adrenaline,
icreasing the tempo, running unstoppable on a relentless sequence with
skeleton beats as a driver |

It
might not always be obvious, but music as escapism can serve as a radical
social statement. What some may see as daydreaming or imagination of
impossible realities, can constitute a sort of revolution of thought, the
seed of a more human and sentient worldview. Although on a first listen,
high-level basis, it may seem as if the music contained in Informa's 10th
release is a series of psychedelic, dystopian and otherworldly tools for
escape, it might actually be a proposition for improvement, a route to
self-discovery, a reflection on the true nature of our surroundings. Although
at no point in this release such high concepts are made explicit, there is a
consistency in vision and methods present in the art created by the peers
that label founder and owner Deepbass has selected for this very special,
celebratory release. Encapsulating the product of eight minds, eight visions,
in a common concept for evolution in unity. The 8 tracks that make up this
double EP create, by sheer power and purpose, a collision of 8 wormholes into
different worlds and times, into which the listener is immersed and
propelled, and from which he can gather new perspectives, renewed thought,
clearness of mind |

[a]pendics.shuffle
seems to have his fingers in every pie - singer, guitar player, producer with
quite a number of pseudonyms - these are only some of the aspects that
describe the musical way the American went since the 1990s. During the last
decade the Berlin label Mo’s Ferry has been a welcome refuge for him to stop
by, now with his fourth release in the baggage. The a-side ‘I See The Morning
Time’ is only the beginning, but already marks the centerpiece of this
release. A track full of contrast that combines an oppressive and tense
calmness with a pleasant contaminated space-atmosphere. Although stacking
different melody-elements, [a]pendics.shuffle never overloads the track.
Every single element has its right to exist and gets along well with its fellows.
Instead of a trivial mash of ideas it is an interesting mixture with some
subtle but exciting moments. Jeremy P. Caulfield (DumbUnit) catches the vibe
and transforms the track’s essence on a different level with his ‘Dark Hole
Sun’ remix. He adds his personal melody-element but reduces the overall
density of sounds |

She
may be new to the mobilee label but Miss Jools is no rookie. As the front
face of Sleeper Thief, a musical collaboration between Miss Jools and
Audiofly, this wickedspinner as been a key figure of London’s underground
music circuit. Now, at full blast with mobilee records, the vicious DJane
releases her first mobilee EP. A full moon and a glass of Sangria gave life
to the first track, „La Luna,“ meaning „the moon,“ in Spanish. The sound
takes one through a feeling of concentration and progress. Wooden taps and
beats rapidly make a contemplative melody at the start of the track, quickly
altering the listener to peaceful and relaxing humming sounds. At this point,
the object of our imagination is looking out the window toward the bright
white moon as delicate wind sways the leafy branches of a tree to and fro.
The humming transitions into a background intermission as contemplation takes
place when suddenly a notion begins to take full stream and the rhythmic
wooden beats come into play at full force. A wordless song is born. The
second track, „Que Me Levante“ is the Spanish meaning of, „you lift me.“ This
track takes the listener to a spiritual place above the skies |

Remix-wise Truncate forges through the blurred truths, manipulation and
divisiveness with two clear dancefloor tactics: a thundering, roughly-hewn
late night techno roll-out and a deeper, leaner approach for slightly earlier
hours with a rising siren that acts as a call to arms for like minds to
unify. Truncate isn't alone with the multiple versions: in echoes of some of

speeds the tempo a bit with electric synths, flanges and twists creating an
hypnotic number. Rentless pain follows, with resonant bleeps starring until
assymetrical sequences appear and the synth lines evolve in a hi pass filter
galore. Seasick is humid and liquid, gummy sounds, clean drum programming,
spaced out sounds and a lot of room. Then we come into Furrow, aimed to the
intelligent dancefloors out there, synthetic bubbles, rolling sub woofer
action , bleeps and noises. Cyclic Human reminds to the best scifi techno
with bell like sequences, digital clicks, jazz harmonies and abstract
progression |

LP'' is Bichord's first full length offering for the Planet Rhythm imprint
after their Quadrivium EP (2016) was met with critically acclaim by techno
aficionado's and lovers of adventurous soundscapes alike. The new LP is a
split two with the A-side showcasing the more Techno oriented works and the
B-side showing the duo's set of ambiences and lush tone. This lenghty effort

children, for this year's excursion we have organised a fantastic trip: a one
week journey to The Parallel World! A world where its leaders decided to go
back in time rather than moving forward. It will be a mind bending excursion.
It will be great. We will ignite the Delta Craft torpedoes next Tuesday 8am
sharp and leave one hour later with warp drive towards The Parallel World. We
shall experience the power of at least 17 trillion Frisian horses, can you
possibly imagine? Once we have arrived, you can choose from one of these
three activities: 1) Take part in a sting operation where you will be able to
sneak into the offices of the corrupted leaders. Detect their intrusions,
scams, lies and all other highly dubious activities they're infamous for. 2)
Participate yourself into these scams and become part of the classified
sector. Explore first hand if this line of work applies to your ambitions. 3)
For those of you who already gave up on humans, there's the chance to take
care of the last surviving animal; the hyena! Isn't it exciting? So kids,
take a good rest and prepare yourself for an amazing journey to The Parallel
World! |

Since
it's inception in 1991 on the streets of Glasgow, Soma Records has stood for
uncompromising quality of the highest level in every area it operates. Stuart
McMillan & Orde Meikle formed Slam during the Acid House explosion in the
late 80's and then together with friends Glenn Gibbons & Dave Clarke they
forged one of electronic music's most widely known and well respected labels.
With McMillan & Meikle as the figureheads with their Slam project and
influenced by the early Detroit Techno scene, Soma quickly began to develop
it's own sound and with their eyes firmly fixed on a vision of the future,
the team began the quest to instill their unquenchable thirst for electronic

After
multiple cassette and 12'' releases through Kastil's STALE in 2016, it's time
for Irazu's lasest addition to the series of complex techno works. Shtamm is
a package that contains four original cuts + a remix by specialist of
high-end machine music ''Regis''. ''Refused To Be Found'' is a soaring travel
through moods and sonic landscapes which at times resonates like a helicopter
flying through an inner city estate building. The aesthetic nature of the
opening track is extended through ''Shtamm''. A multi dimensional piece of
work that showcases a more submersive side of Irazu's broad pallette. 'Last
Hours'' is a cinematic stroke of vivid pads that sound like they were
extracted from a remastered Russian thriller classic. Regis opens ups the
B-side with a rework of ''Shtamm''. The off-beat machine funk of the remix
leaves little of the original mix intact, yet Regis has turned it into a
staggering piece of ferocity. ''Torso'' is another Irazu original that sound
like 7.5 minutes of vigorous rhythms and swerving perc elements |
