On
the 30th anniversary of Kompakt's Speicher series, a childhood dream has
finally come true. Thanks to a wonderful coincidence and weeks and months of
arduous research, we could get the license to release two of the most
influential and immortal techno tracks ever on one record. Tricky Disco and
GTO are projects both realized by sound artists Michael Wells and Lee Newman.
From the early 1990s to the mid-1990s, they came up with splashy tracks under
numerous pseudonyms as for example John & Julie, Church of Exstasy or
Technohead (exactly, the gabber evergreen track 'I Wanna Be A Hippie'
released on Mokum!), until Lee died of cancer in 1995 - at the height of
their career. In 1990, Tricky Disco was released as WAP 007 on the young Warp
Label and, together with stylistically-similar approaches of label colleagues
like LFO or Sweet Exorcist, they revolutionized the club scene. A new sound
was born: the Bleep! There are only a few sounds time could not harm thanks
to their simplicity and conciseness. Next to the 303 and the saw-tooth
sounds, the Bleep is probably the only and certainly the nicest sound. Bleeps

Now this is a great double header
for SPEICHER. World class star Gui Boratto sets off with his signature
Brazilian groove we know and respect. Right on point, minimal groovy elements
come together as one. Then comes a catchy tasteful melodic hookline, flying
over the beat and whisks you away. The bass line builds up to an emotional
saw and sails you through the the rest. Well done. On the other side return
Anton Kubikov and Maxim Miljutenko, better known to us as SCSI 9 And they
surprise us. “ANOTHER DAY ACID” is absolutely not an Acid track. And arguably
one of SCSI 9's best techno tracks to date. Which says a lot for these
Russian veterans! Groove, Structure, Beat, Sound combined with high
emo-factor, this track is so perfectly on the point. HIT! No shit |

Another Van, the label head of
Ran Music’s sub-label Ran Groove, is releasing his debut EP “ The Night Is
Yours” (RGV010-12) on his own label which includes 6 tracks rang-ing from
Acid House to Minimal that he created between 2015-2017 in Beijing and Shanghai,
performed and recorded all at once using his hardware live set-up. The
immortal acid sound and minimalist groove are his forever loves. In 3 years
the time, locations, and people kept changing, and all the memories of his
life experiences are being mixed and melted into these 6 musical stories. The
EP name “The Night Is Yours” is inspired by a billboard which says “The World
Is Yours” in the movie “Scarface”. Another Van believes that the night never
