Regal debuts on BPitch Berlin
with one of his rare releases outside his own Involve imprint. His »The Eyes«
EP draws heavily on early hardcore and the powerful acid sound that has
become the Spain-based producer’s signature style ever since he started making
waves in the techno scene in 2012. Over the course of four tracks however,
Gabriel Cassina showcases a previously unknown side of his abilities. More
versatile, more experimental, and more stylistically diverse, »The Eyes«
shows Regal at his most radical. If his past releases were dedicated to
updating the sounds of the nineties for the present, his first offering on
Ellen Allien’s label sees him heading straight for the future. The breakneck
title track alone will surprise even the most devoted Regal followers with an
entirely different sound and style. Eschewing the mighty four-to-flour thump
that dominates most of his work, »The Eyes« is rhythmically closer to recent
pieces like »Double Standard« but still sticks out from Regal’s vast

copies. If you haven't heard of Jamie Anderson, chances are you are either
too young to go to a club or you have been into heavy metal during the past
twenty years. The amount of releases and labels that we could tie this Brit
to are simply overwhelming: Cocoon, Rekids, International Deejay Gigolos,
Harthouse, Dessous or his own imprint Artform to name just a few big guns.
That being said: the man continues to be one of those rare figures in
nightlife that stayed grounded while being praised by the likes of Derrick
May and many other big players. So, when we got to know him through a mutual
friend from Ghent we were excited that he immediately came to us with a track
and some ideas that resulted in this release: 1992. A vinyl only,
limited-to-250-copies affair which will not be repressed. Which makes it
actually even more of a special release since it's not too often that a name
of Jamie's pedigree does these kinds of small-audience releases anymore. As
the title suggests: it's a track founded in the source code of Techno: 303
acid, 909 kicks and many of the oldskool sounds that shaped Techn minutes |

In
a time where we’ve seen a full through back to the sound of the 90’s where
almost every new record sounds exactly like it was made back in the day. It’s
so refreshing to have producers like Martin TC around. Hailing from
Montevideo Uruguay, former member of the now defunct Monoblock project Martin
TC proves again that it’s all about the cutting edge of modern funkyness.
Delivering a ultra funky, jazz injected techno bomb of an EP. We are proud to
present Martin TC’s first solo project and most definitely not his last. In
Situ on side A is an exploration in Chicago style jack combined with a keen
sense latin groove and definitely is the money ticket, a sure shot bomb, a
burner, a floor filler, a WMD, explosive, techno poetry in motion… if I do
say so… Side B continues with the funkyness of Bukle but takes in further
into a more challenging up tempo realm that can go either way in a house or
techno set. Al Fin y Al Cabo and Vice Versa are an excellent reminder that

Rob Glennon’s Night Freaks Remixed. In January 2009 Rob Glennon and Nice
& Nasty released The Night Freaks EP and sonic adventure in Detroit
Techno, Breaks and Chilled beats. Soon after the two lead trax ‘Bass Shifter’
and ‘Ratio’ got the remix treatment and released online to critical acclaim
and now the choice mixes are available on vinyl for the first time
accompanied by wonderful artwork from Detroit’s Berlin based artist Alan

The next carefully assembled
Delsin re-issue EP is four tracks of slick electro from VC-118A aka Samuel
van Dijk, who also released on Delta Funktionen's Radio Matrix and the Clone
affiliated Frustrated Funk label. This EP was originally released on AC Records
in 2015, strictly limited and only sold by the label itself. All four cuts
are electro of the highest order: opener 'Vaxna' is a mid tempo, atmospheric
piece that places you in the middle of a desolate futuristic landscape, while
'Sepia' is a more rueful track that encourages your mind to wander amongst
its thoughtful pads and sombre chords. It's timeless and tender machine music
that's followed up by 25h, which has an astral feel. Beautifully smeared pads
and a nimble bassline cast you free deep in the cosmos. The EP closes in
style with 'Versicolor', an emotive electro jam with clever arrangements and
immerse sounds |

this forward thinking slab of dark and moody breakbeat techno courtesy of
Open Mind (aka Joey Beltram) hits the spot everytime! Harking back to the
glory days of euro-techno, pre-jungle, the dark-side and all in-between....
Need we say more? The eerie atmospheres, epic synth breaks and stuttering
drum machine programming combines to create the super heavy sound that early
Beltram is known for and 'The Trance' is one record that any serious techno
or electro lover will need in their bag. Rare as hen's teeth, hard to cop and
a total under the radar classic, 'The Trance' is here again, and it's not
taking any prisoners! As we said before, this monster dropped on Easy Street
in '90, and has been caned by the most discerning of DJ's and diggers across
the galaxy ever since. Every home should have a copy of this, no collection
is complete without it. A record that will never go out of style & will

Hot on the heels of the Floorplan
v Mark Broom double-header on EPM, Robert Hood is back in full minimal techno
mode. 'Reflector / Rotate' administers the techno antidote to Hood's house
alias as his no nonsense stripped down aesthetic gradually reveals layers and
textures of tension and soul within his machine funk ethos. 'Reflector' picks
up from the peak-time driving pulse as shown throughout his 'Paradigm Shift'
project on Dekmantel giving plenty of big room punch just when needed.
Euphoric synths and key changes add to Hood's usual minimal palate, adding a
few goose bumps moments on the way. 'Rotate' pairs this back to basics as a
solid beat gives way to muted keys and subtle atmospherics, throwing a deeper
shadow across the dancefloor. Less is definitely more here |

Celebrated
record label and events brand Renaissance announce the next release in their
acclaimed The ReMix Collection series – a stunning reworking of Pete
Lazonby’s 1994 classic ‘Sacred Cycles’ from one of the biggest names in
techno - Drumcode boss Adam Beyer, who teams up with fellow Drumcode alumnae,
Bart Skils and Layton Giordani. The spectacular and atmospheric remix is set
to be a huge track this summer. The three Drumcode titans give Pete Lazonby’s
sumptuous trance and progressive house classic ‘Sacred Cycles’ a tougher,
harder edge that is perfect for peak-time dance-floors. The trio cleverly
intertwine the swooping synths and spoken word sample from Genesis’ ‘The
Fountain Of Salmacis’ in Pete Lazonby’s original ‘Sacred Cycles’ and inject a
heart-pumping bassline and bring in a powerful drop to give it the signature
Drumcode sound. On the remix, Adam Beyer, Bart Skils and Layton Giordani
said: “Our main goal was to keep the rolling, hypnotising flow of the track
and transform it into a contemporary piece of music that remains timeless

Once
again Thomas and Tassilo are back and this time they come direct with three
fierce cuts of proper, intense Techno. The trio of tracks all embody the
heavy, dark, and psychedelic moments of wild club moments and warehouse
nights, yet all three tracks take a different approach to arrive with the
same intention. ‘Radio Berlin’ kicks things off as a hefty and infectious
groove sets the stage for a swirling hypnotic tone that weaves through strong
blasts of cinematic tones and booming percussion shots in a slick, spell
binding ride. Following suit but turning up the intensity and adding a bit
more of an abrasive touch, ‘Deutsche Welle’ veers into truly sinister
territory where mischievous arpeggios and breakneck percussion thrive on a
backdrop of eery atmospherics, flawlessly creating a rave detonator. The
final addition to the EP is definitely the deepest and most trippy campaign
of the trio: 'Kanal 7’ is an absolute burner with an intensely addictive
groove of rolling low end. Lush, spooky tones hypnotize and wildly dynamic
patterns of unshakable percussion keep it ever evolving, forging a versatile
