Dutch producer nthng returns to Delsin with another four pieces
of melodic, ambient-spirited techno following his 2017 label debut Turn To
Gaia. Sub-Sonar opens with the beatless, melancholic reflection of 'Looking
Outside' before drifting into the submersion chamber pulse of 'Liberate
Truth'. Guided by the hypnotic allure of dub techno, the track follows a
linear path through spacious chord drops and understated drum jack. Following
a similar rhythmic tract, 'Sub-Sonar' offers up a cloudy, sombre beatdown
shot through with winsome sine wave blips. As a surprise parting shot, '1 2
Butterfly' shakes up the scene with a crooked breakbeat treatment which cuts
an angular path through the hazy atmospheric tones nthng has made his own.

One
of the very first compositions by Bruno Sanchioni (Age of Love, BBE),
released in 88 just at the beginning of the New Beat phenomenon that marked
the history of Belgian music. Along with Confetti's and Amnesia, it was one
of the most popular tracks of its time and marked the start of a long and
promising career for Bruno Sanchioni. Just 2 years later, he composed the
original bassline for the legendary track "Age of Love", which,
thanks to Jam & Spoon's remix, was to stamp the electronic music scene
for several generations. Based on video clash created by the visionary
Lil'Louis, the original slow tempo was enhanced by the highly recognisable
vocal "The Story" and a simple but highly effective melody. It was
already remixed 10 years later by Viper, with a rhythmic pattern once again
inspired by the Chicago pioneers. 25 years on, this track still evokes
emotion and still inspires a good number of artists to want to touch it up,
and for the track's 35th anniversary it seemed appropriate to pay it a
vibrant tribute by offering several remixes split into two different vinyl
projects. In a faster, more acid-influenced style, the first project features
a remix by DJHS, Manu Kenton and Furax, emblematic artists from the north of France,
and is completed by Viper's excellent 98 remix for those who haven't heard it
yet. DJHS is behind the legendary acid track 'Spokesman', Manu Kenton is one
of the flagship artists of the 'Ghoststyle' label and Furax is behind 'Big
Orgus' |

is back for round two on Dustin Zahn’s Enemy Records with “Cyber Dystopia.”
Marcal’s trademark grooves and clever vocal processing make this one of his
most exciting and hypnotic records yet. It’s pure class…there isn’t much else
to say! BUT we have to try anyway… “Cyber Dystopia” starts off with Bionic
Jungle, a trippy peak time roller sprinkled with uh, lifeforms or something?
We haven’t been able to identify them, which is just proof that Marcal is
living on another planet we haven’t been to yet. We’re standing by for the
invite. Moravex’s Paradox picks up where Bionic Jungle left off…chugging
along in his signature style. It’s loopy. It’s tooly…but still heavy on the
grooves, making it a perfect fit in deep and peak time sets alike. Nothing About
the United States hits a little harder and darker. Dissonant drones and
catchy sound design take over, flipping the switch from “party” to “punish.”
For fans of his recent track on Enemy, “Never Wrote This.” Don’t Fear the
Three is a classic Marcal percussive workout in heads-down mode. It’s as
equally powerful as every other track on the record |

Known
for its groundbreaking techno releases, Infrastructure New York, is
relaunched! Celebrating 27 years of Function releases this year and the
label's 25th anniversary, the label will serve as an outlet for his new
material, reissues of out-of-print classics from Synewave, Sandwell District
and Ostgut Ton (and of course, Infrastructure), as well as developing new
artists. As a member of the Sandwell District collective, David Sumner aka
Function, from 2007 onward was instrumental in cultivating and ushering in a
new sound of dark, cerebral hypnotica - forcing the hand of change in global
techno. Green EP serves as a testament to this, further exploring these
depths. The EP pays homage to the day when David arrived in Berlin with his
green suitcase where his record "Isolation" on Sandwell District
was released, hitting the ground running and springboarding into an
incredibly successful career, becoming a stalwart DJ/producer, after years as
a struggling artist. Green EP encapsulates the same raw power and hypnotic
energy of his genre-defining Sandwell District releases Isolation,
Anticipation and Variance, updated with a modern flair. Subject f (Function)
has clearly transcended, as expressed through the opening track
"Initiation" arriving at his "New Designation". On the
b-side Function communicates his divine alignment through the broken beat,

which the strength and forcefulness of Gayle San and her sensitivity within
the hardest aspects of techno are added to the technical precision and
creative purity of EXIUM. After weeks of intense work, Gayle and EXIUM have
completed their contributions to the three powerful themes that make up the
EP: "Mob1" and "Mob2" are pure dancefloor-destroyers: no
techno festival this summer will get away from these potential hits; the last
cut "First Jump" gives the record a smoother end, elegant but no

The
primer of techno was barely dry or England already had its own variant of the
genre: UK techno. Original Man by British producer Dave Angel is perhaps the
perfect example of what that variant sounded like, back then. If only you
knew where to find it. The single was released in 1993 on a record label that
has long since ceased to exist. Fortunately, Utrecht-based record label
SoHaSo made this transverse techno-soul classic available again, in a punchy
remaster. With its juxtaposed rhythm programming and orchestral arrangements,
Original Man still lives up to its title, even if it is 30 years later. On
the flip you'll find Quarter Pounder. With its nervous hi-hats and high paced
rhythms, this seems like the perfect soundtrack for a highway chase between
two roadhouses. As a bonus, SoHaSo has supplemented the vinyl version of this
EP with a rare Dave Angel track which also was released back in 1993 on
French dance label FNAC. It's called 4th Symphony and ticks all the right
techno boxes: strings, hihats and a melancholic melody. If you wanna learn
more about UK techno, you might as well start with this wonderful re-release |

Astral
Projection were pioneers on the Goatrance scene and have been storming the
dancefloors for more than 20 years with their uplifting melodic and hypnotic
music signature! Now we are delighted to announce; their EP "Let There
Be Light" with 2 new tracks of the masters and remixes by Filteria and
Morphic Resonance; repressed on vinyl. First you can hear Astral's rework of
the sublime "Filtertraces" track by Filteria. Giving it their so
special spiraling recipe, Avi and Lior gave it a trippy and panoramic touch!
Second Filteria returns the favor with his own version of the fantastic
"Let There Be Light" track by Astral Projection. The production
upgrade and filteria-esque melodies do wonders to the goatrance anthem and on
the dancefloors where it's played! Then, Morphic Resonance, shows the full
extent of his skills as he embarks you on a sci-fi rollercoaster ride with
his remake of Astral Projection's "Enlightened Evolution". Expect
massive melodies and the usual explosion of energy from the Catalan artist!
Last but not least, Astral Projection have remixed their own "Another
World" track from the 1999 eponymous album. Yet no doubt the Israeli duo
is stunningly sharp as it managed to give it exhilarating new twists as well
as a splendid production! This incredible collaboration shows once again
goatrance music is a blessing and we hope it will enlighten your path! |

Roy Sasson, who was famous in the 90s as part of Shidapu. Here he opens with
a deep & groovy psychedelic dancefloor monster. The second track has a
darker atmosphere, is super powerful but also melodic and spiralling!
Xenomorph hasn't released any music for a long time, but he clearly kept his
magical touch! That darker touch is carried on by Battle of the Future
Buddhas, who went towards pure acid 303 territories in his haunting track!
Shakta brings back some sunshine with his funky uplifting "Expedition To
Earth"! Now after this first part of the CD come two of the most famous
Goa-trance names ever: Astral Projection & MFG! They both do what they do
best: creating wonderful melodic soundscapes! Sensitive, emotional &
harmonious trancy music for people that want to feel a sunny dancefloor
through music! Then RA mixed his known euphoric type of melodies & chords
with a more modern sound! The result? Music that will do the trick on every
dancefloor around the world. The ender is a more floating, warm track of
Oforia, who showcases his more mellow style :) We hope to create the same

Reclaiming
his place on Token with another 12" record, Belgium's Border One
presents 'Light Trail' - an ode to dissonance and drive. With his
recognizable use of dynamic percussion and metallic synth work, he stops at
nothing to provide a sound-system ready record for a busy dancefloor. Opening
the record with a throbbing bassline and a sustained pad, Border One wastes
no time in getting to the point. He begins with leaning on rock solid groove
to space out his ambient elements and stabs, creating a rich atmosphere while
remaining focused on the movement. Transitioning from an intriguingly
subaquatic A1, the needle slides to a more brutal second followup
'Transmute'. Providing a constant and saturated low-end, Border One remains
expressive with his use of his drum machine while keeping a familiar bubbly
main synth. The reduced depth in 'Transmute' is likely due to the tension
coming from his percussive work as opposed to a synth, making it very
efficient for virtually any occasion. As the A2 draws to a close, Border One
dives back into the mind with the other side of the record - starting with
'Radiant'. Shrill tension makes its return over a playful, hypnotic synth
sequence to create a satisfying contrast between crystal and viscous
elements. 'Prism' then closes the record down on a driving jazzy tone,
showing the artist's versatility and understanding of his genre. Dissonant
chord stabs peak out of sometimes busier percussion lines, making it the
perfect way to conclude a dance floor-oriented record |

In
March 2023, Tresor Records will release "Crash Recoil", a new album
by Surgeon. It marks Anthony Child's first techno LP in five years, following
a period in which he felt uncertainty in his role as a techno producer and
found it tough to locate inspiration. This new album encounters him drawing
on spontaneous techniques to arrive at unchartered topographies. "Crash
Recoil" originates from Surgeon's recent live sets, where he
experimented with constraints in performing and embracing the twists, turns
and paradoxes that arrive from this. Each fresh iteration on consistent MIDI
sequences and hardware reconfigured tracks into dierent constellations,
creating an inspiring vortex of unpredicted events where ideas could
flourish. This new approach allowed him to capture the spontaneous energy of
his live shows in a way he had never done before. "This is not a live
album, since it has not been recorded in one go during a live performance. In
the same way that bands tour songs before going into the studio to record an
album, I was able to explore these songs and hone their eectiveness during my
live performances before creating a studio version." The result is eight
tracks that emphasise a new techno sound for Surgeon, drawing in references
from across the musical spectrum. "I can hear Coil, King Tubby, Detroit
Techno and The Cure all wrapped up with 30 years of DJing," Surgeon says
of the album. Melancholic hum-like ambiences smudge around unadorned,
near-droning basslines, crunching rhythm and percolating arpeggiations. The
tracks carry unique and potent locomotion, with a low-slung grind through
toughened terrains, breathing with a free spirit, untethered by a
studio-based perspective. We hear manifestations of the same raw material
across the album, like a textural motif, carving new variants and creating a
cohesive work full of recollection |

Wagon
Repair are excited to announce the latest EP from Berlin based Canadian Mike
Shannon. The Re-Nag EP, his third Wagon Repair release and first production
of 2009, is the latest in a long line of releases from the head of Cynosure
Records, with his work having previously graced imprints from ~Scape and Num
to Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8 Records. Opener ‘Darkstar 3000′,, is a
futurist techno stomp. Engined by poked melodic tones and a prominent
metallic hat, dissonant stealth melodies manoeuvre around percussion and
punched bass. Biding time to prolong suspense, both bass and key melodic
journeys coordinate to climax in a tightly executed sensory assault. ‘Sweets
(TLA Mix)’ opens energetically with static percussive tones circling around a
pummeling kick. A rapturous vocal takes lead, effervescing within a wind
tunnel of wobbly bass melodies and dizzy pads to close. ‘Sweets (Acapella)’
is an abstract entity, with it’s sole vocal discernibly haunting in the
absence of beats and structure. Full of texture and space, this is one for
the producers that will surely not go to waste |

We
are happy to welcome a new artist into our family. Young Jose Pouj is one of
the new emerging talents from the Spanish techno scene. His speciality is
hard edged techno, but with a touch of class. A sound carefully crafted and
skilfully developed. His Blood Poisoning EP starts with 'Waken', a scientific
techno number with a solid rhythm arrangement, fat basses and sharp synth
workout; a funky electronic steamroller designed for body and mind. The B
side opens with 'Sepsis', a harder approach to modern techno with a strong
drum programming, sweeping drones, an arpeggiated bassline and a bunch of
bleeps that appear and disappear throughout the arrangement. An anabolic
track that slowly goes to a mental break and turns once more to madness. The
release closes with 'Organic Return', where the main course is made up of
carefully programmed synthetic drums, till an EMB-flavoured bassline comes
into the track, reminding us of the good old Pulsinger style. Summing up,
this is the work of a great young producer that injects new blood into our
label. Watch out for forthcoming adventures of this new talent |
