Strictly Rhythm GOLD right here. An all-time, hands down, unstoppable CLASSIC
record from way back - 1995 to be precise. If you don't know this record it's
possible you've been in a coma, living in a cave with no electricity or have
literally just arrived here on planet earth. Either way, once you hear
'Higher State Of Consciousness' you certainly won't forget it. Produced by
Philly's legendary Josh Wink and released by the forward thinking A&R
team at Strictly. At the time there was very little to nothing that even came
close to this release. The 'Tweekin Acid Funk' mix being the highlight and
the version that caught everyone's ears and captured minds worldwide across
radio-waves with endless rewinds on MTV and in the clubs. Foreseeing the impending
'Breaks' boom that came around in the mid to late 90's 'Higher State...' was
one of those rare moments where a record truly transcends genre boundaries
and found it's way into DJ's boxes and bags on every scene. A mighty,
evergreen slab of wigged out, acidic, breakbeat chaos. Essential. This one's
a tasty 2017 reissue and remaster, featuring all 3 mixes, unedited, as per
the original release way back when. Do not sleep |

Ruby My Dear returns to
Analogical Force with Iterations EP -- five cuts of precision-engineered
electronica forged from repetition and control. Originally conceived for a
videomapping project by Barcelona-based studio VPM and premiered at SIGNAL
and MIRA festivals the music quickly evolved beyond its audiovisual origins
into a fully independent sonic work. Razor-edged IDM, glitched breakcore and
high-velocity drum programming collide with dark harmonic pressure and
microscopic detail. Brutal yet deliberate. Chaotic yet exact. This is Ruby My
Dear operating at full resolution |

The
anthemic ‘Sandstone’ is Nathan’s homage to early 90s Orbital and UK techno,
which were the biggest influences on his formative music-writing years. With
huge waves of bass and a wide-eyed emotive rush, he perfectly encapsulates
the 90s techno/trance apex, but brings it bang up-to-date with his trademark
sonic wizardry. French musician Ire`ne Dre´sel transforms ‘Vectra’ into an
epic and expansive dark trance banger, while Afrodeutsche AKA Henrietta
Smith-Rolla strips ‘Cry Me A Blizzard’ right back to its chords, adding her
own achingly beautiful vocals to create a haunting choral ambient artwork. ?
Nathan provides his own live studio recording of ‘Torch Song’, which melds
choppy beat juggling with gorgeously glistening synths. “Once a teenage prodigy in the early 2000s
electronic scene, Norfolk producer Nathan Fake has gone on to garner a
worldwide following while establishing himself as a pivotal figure in UK
dance culture” - Dummy |

FUNKTHEPOPULATION is the debut
record by Yablochko Zelenoe, released in July this year on the
California-based label Dionysian Mysteries. The visual aspect of the release
was brought to life by AI-artist and designer Alyona Pustobaeva. Old-school
breakbeat and big beat rooted in the British sound of the '90s. The release
is soaked in disdain for the surrounding world, serving ideologically as an
ode to independence and carefree rebellion - a truly mischievous, streetwise
sound |

Delsin
is pleased to announce an extensive compilation series combing through the
catalogue of landmark Dutch techno label Djax-Up-Beats. The series, curated
by Rush Hour co-founder Christiaan Macdonald, launches with a look at the
label's legacy in the development of acid music through the 90s. In total,
this first entry in the Djax-Up-Beats 1990-2005 series comprises 20 tracks,
presented as a main triple-vinyl album plus two additional 12" EPs. This
second additional EP brings two two fourteen (!) minutes long journies by
Acid Junkies feat. The Doctor and by Purple Plejade, an early outing by
Thomas P. Heckmann and Holger Wick. Crucially, every track featured on the
series has been carefully mastered by Johanz Westerman, bringing the best out
of tracks that often had very little post-production treatment before they
were originally pressed to wax. With five more, equally extensive, volumes to
come in this series, Djax-Up-Beats 1990-2005 is a thorough exploration of a
true totem of techno culture - a renegade label that operated on its own
terms and carried surprises and slammers in equal measure |

Manfredi
Romano, founder and A&R of Life and Death Records, has been a pivotal
figure in electronic music for over two decades. This year marks an important
milestone as he is invited to curate the upcoming fabric presents mix for
fabric Records, a release that highlights his instinctive storytelling and
the distinct musical identity he has cultivated throughout his career.
Manfredi’s journey began in Italy around the turn of the millennium,
tour-managing punk bands and organizing left-field music events before
completing his studies in computer science at the University of Pisa. He went
on to form DAZE, Italy’s first booking agency dedicated exclusively to
electronic music, laying the groundwork for what would become a globally
influential presence in the scene. In 2010, he shifted focus to his own
artistic project, DJ Tennis, which quickly gained international recognition
for its emotive blend of house, techno, and disco. Renowned for creating
intimate atmospheres in even the largest spaces, DJ Tennis has performed at
leading clubs such as Circoloco Ibiza, Fabric London, and Panorama Bar
Berlin, and at major festivals including Sonar, Timewarp, Primavera Sound,
and Coachella. His 2022 residency at Phonox in London further showcased his
ability to shape dancefloors with nuance and depth. Since 2017, he has also
co-founded and curated Rakastella, the celebrated Art Basel Miami festival
created in partnership with Life and Death and Innervisions. As a producer,
DJ Tennis draws from early relationships with post-rock pioneers such as
Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Tortoise, and Fugazi, channelling their
influence into intricately layered electronic compositions. His work has
appeared on respected labels including Kompakt, Rhythm Assault, Running Back,
!K7, Cercle Records, Aus Music, and Circoloco Records, alongside frequent
releases on Life and Death. His remix portfolio includes collaborations with
Diplo, Boys Noize, Loco Dice, WhoMadeWho, and Acid Pauli, among many others.
He has also previously contributed a DJ-Kicks mix, bringing his eclectic
sensibilities to one of electronic music’s most beloved series. After
extended periods living in Miami, Berlin, and Barcelona, DJ Tennis now
resides in Paris. Outside the studio and club environment, Manfredi is a
passionate chef who has curated menus for charity events and collaborated
with Beatport at ADE, Pioneer, and Resident Advisor. He is also an avid
collector of bicycles, vintage action figures, and vinyl — his record
collection now surpasses eleven thousand pieces. With the forthcoming fabric
presents DJ Tennis release, he offers a deeply personal, narrative-driven
statement that reflects decades of crate-digging, boundary-pushing
selections, and a lifelong devotion to sound. It marks a new chapter in his
artistic evolution and stands as one of the year’s most anticipated entries
in the iconic series. The first single from DJ Tennis is a collaboration with
long-time studio partner Ashee, and it immediately sets the tone for the mix:
warm, seductive, rhythm-driven, and emotionally charged. “I Wanna Know” is a
sleek club track built around a pulsing groove and a steady, hypnotic rhythm.
The low end is rounded and warm, giving the track a driving but understated
momentum. Percussion is crisp and minimal, allowing the bassline and vocal
elements to take center stage. The repeating, robotic earworm of a vocal
hook, “I wanna know’ is the lynchpin to the track and will remain in your
head long after the track has finished. It’s the kind of record that warms up
a room early in the night, sets the tone for a sunset beach set, or adds a
lush, emotional peak during a more leftfield club moment |

Following
his debut appearance on HABITAT in 2024 with his standout ‘My Eyes Are
Failing’ remix, Echonomist returns to serve up his ‘Dominator’ EP - a
five-track release that captures the Greek artist’s unmistakable tension,
groove, and analogue character, paired with high-caliber remixes from Fango
and Toto Chiavetta. With previous releases on Innervisions, Exit Strategy,
TAU, and Kompakt, Echonomist has steadily built a reputation for fusing raw
emotion with forward-leaning sound design. His prolific output and effortless
ability to experiment with various styles have long made him a respected
figure within the global electronic landscape. Now, with his ‘Dominator’ EP,
he brings that creative force back to Mind Against’s imprint in commanding
form. Opening with the title track, ‘Dominator’ immediately sets the tone:
bustling energy, driving drums, and siren-like synths cut through a deep,
Detroit-leaning atmosphere. ‘Modulator’ follows with a pulsing, oscillating
bassline and rattling percussive breaks that coil around warped vocals. On
‘Use Your Illusions’, the pace becomes chuggier as he combines raw industrial
drums with a thudding kick, dubby chords, and fizzing synths. The package is
then elevated by two heavyweight reinterpretations, with Fango’s remix of
‘Dominator’ pushing the cut into a more intense, pressure-driven space,
upping the ante with amplified rhythmic density. To close, Toto Chiavetta
delivers an electro-laden rework, sculpting the track into a dense,
atmospheric journey that prioritizes ever-evolving groove and textural depth.
Echonomist 'Dominator’ EP drops via HABITAT on 10th April 2025 |

DJ/Producer Avalon was recently awarded the number 1 top-selling psytrance
artist on Beatport with over 30+ psytrance chart #1s and 5 top-selling LPs to
his name, and performs at the likes of Tomorrowland, Boom, EDC Las Vegas,
Glastonbury, Exit, Burning Man, Ultra, ASOT, Ministry Of Sound,... GMS
(Growling Mad Scientists) was founded by Dutch Ibiza-based DJ/Producer Riktam
with the sadly late Bansi, to establish pioneering psytrance label Spun
Records and to have director Tony Scott no less, using GMS tracks on three of
his films. A prolific producer with over 300K album copies sold, GMS holds
the most psytrance records released overall. ‘I'm beyond honoured to release
this stunning four tracker from psytrance legends Avalon and GMS. With this release,
friendships were formed and worlds truly started colliding. I have massive
respect for both these artists and their long standing impact on electronic
music. This release feels like a bridge between generations and genres. It
carries an energy that deserves to be heard, experienced, and felt on
dancefloors around the world.’ Charlotte de Witte. Title track ‘The
Underground’: hyperspeed trance beats support a wild variety of acid-dripping
pulsations, spacey arps, otherworldly swoops, mind-teasing stabs, it’s like a
lightshow in sound. That transports its listeners into another dimension. On
‘Horizen’, psytrance thrives, while ethereal vocals call, with intricate
sound design painting a mythical soundscape. On ‘Machines’, it’s driven by
hypnotic acid lines, pulsating Kick & Bass with sprinkles of techno
infused percussion! Its choral notes and alien-like spoken lyrics, both
gripping and disorientating as builds & breaks come thick and fast. ‘Rave
to the Grave’: constant pulsing high synth and vocals with twanging acid
together with frantic percussion create a sustained, agonizing build, build,
build – until ‘On the 7th day, the Lord said ‘Let the beat drop!’’ Phew! ‘We
are very excited about our debut release on KNTXT ‘The Underground’ and can’t
wait to share this 4 track EP with you all. We hope you enjoy it as much as
we did creating it. This fusion [of techno/psytrance] is brought together by
all of our mutual love for acid & driving hypnotic dance music! Enjoy…
Play it loud! Welcome to The Underground… You have arrived!’- Avalon &
GMS. A mind-bending EP, with racing beats that give the ‘trance’ in psytrance
a huge adrenalin shot. This is high energy reaching new altitudes; hold on to
your brain cells, they’re going for a ride! |

SAMOH
unleashes his new dancefloor weapon, four-track EP ‘Changing Worlds’, out on
February 26th, as his debut on Charlotte de Witte’s prestigious KNTXT
imprint. Charlotte de Witte: ‘I have been playing SAMOH’s tracks for quite
some time now and I am very happy to welcome him to KNTXT. His acid, techno
and trance driven approach to music fits my lane perfectly. There is an
energy in his work that feels raw, focused and completely unapologetic. This
release in particular has that acidic drive that I love so much. This is
powerful club material and I cannot wait to see where it will go.’
Rotterdam’s producer, DJ & live artist SAMOH responds, ‘Releasing this as
my first record on KNTXT is an amazing opportunity, and I feel honoured to be
able to share my music with so many people and let this sound travel further
worldwide.’ ‘Changing Worlds’ EP: from the title track’s rampant beat,
rattling drums, acid-saturated main theme with euphoric edge, and portentous
vocal (‘reality peels away...’) to ‘We Are All Waveforms’ with its
psytrancey, insanely acidic builds to banshee pitch over shutter & hiss
FX at which point you are indeed ‘entering a non-linear dimension’, you are
then a willing victim for ‘Reality Is Gone’ to hammer-drill into the brain and
take command of your feet. Final piece ‘Echoes Of Tomorrow’ starts with
dystopian chattering percussion and spacey FX, before luring you into a
healing euphoric dreamstate with moonstruck, melodic trancey sweetly soaring
singing. ’Changing Worlds’ represents my approach to acid techno/trance in
its most direct and energetic form.’ SAMOH says.‘I made this EP with three
high energy tracks, followed by a more atmospheric closing piece that brings
everything together. It’s about a driving motion and intensity, creating
moments where dancers can disconnect from everything else and fully give
themselves to the music.’ You have been warned. You may as well succumb to
acid as voracious as Venusian cloudforms, techno beats galloping over your
inhibitions, and trance as bewitching as absinthe for the ears. You’ll be
glad you did |

breathy, full-toned vocals and Portuguese lyrics of CERES. The Brazilian
singer, DJ & producer favours techno with tasty slices of UKG. Add to
that, subtle motifs link the three tracks, giving the impression they form a
suite. ‘This EP is inspired by my love for Portugal and Brazil, the
countries, the people, the food, the culture. Made with lots of amor.’ -
Charlotte de Witte. Title track ‘Amor’ (feat. CERES) delivers a galloping
beat starred with spacey FX, as a hoover siren builds tension and CERES
begins her rhyming chant. A sprinkle of acid becomes a sulphuric tidal wave.
Next, ‘Sem Ar’ (feat. CERES): ‘Airless’; frantic rattling percussion overlays
the fast beat to breakbeat-adjacent. CERES’ resonant voice is showcased in an
acapella breakdown before her soulful voice becomes an acid robot’s, sharp
and penetrating. Finally, ‘O Movimento’ (feat. CERES); ‘Movement/motion’,
speeding beat with hi-hat backbeat duels with CERES’ voice, now sounding
almost breathless, before acid filters in as the track builds |

Sasha's
collaborative hot streak continues with Manchester-based duo Cortese. The
pair were last on Last Night On Earth in 2024. A big 2025 saw electronic
titan Sasha linking up with a mix of fellow pioneers and next-generation
stars. He collaborated with the likes of Artche, Henry Saiz, and Joseph
Ashworth, always pushing forward his signature sound, steeped in meticulous
synth craft, built on transportive grooves, and packed with rare levels of
universal emotion. Cortese are new school artists with an emotionally rich
mix of garage, breaks, and house. They head up their own Plaza Recordings
and, as well as appearing on Sasha’s LUZoSCURA compilation, they dropped
their 'All U Do' EP here in December 2024. Following gigs in support of
mainstays like Bicep and Mike Skinner, they now hook up with one of dance
music's most recognisable names. The result is 'One', a deep and heavenly
odyssey with warm, supple drums infused with subtle garage swing. Wordless
vocals bleed into the mix, heightening the sensuality, as the majestic arps
and shimmering chords light up the airwaves. It's an irresistible invitation
for the dance floor to take off on a wave of cautious hope and optimism
without ever losing sight of the grounding groove. On the flip and the fantastic
'U Disappear' is an Ibiza anthem in the making - the synths are widescreen
and sun-kissed, while the bass is dark and transportive. Balearic piano
chords ripple through the mix alongside arching pads and soft, wordless
vocals, lending a dreamy edge to what is a powerful track, both physically
and spiritually |

M-Plant's 2026 schedule starts as
it means to go on with a blistering, adrenaline-charged Techno EP from the
minimal master, Robert Hood. Robert Hood's minimalist approach helped define
Techno's evolution in the early 1990s, as he's continued to push a stripped-down,
hypnotic sound. His solo work, marked by precise drum programming and deep
grooves, has become hugely influential across modern Techno. While he
continues to innovate through projects like Floorplan (with daughter, Lyric)
here he returns to his roots on the "Soul Sonic Force EP". From
A-side opener "Insurrection" that blends a tough peak-time Techno
sound with sweeping strings, to the reverberating tonal "Black
Ops". Then flip to the AA-side for the relentless pared down groove of
"Soul Protector", before "Warfare" with its layered
precision. This is classic Hood in action; unparalleled |

2026 sees Robert Hood going back
to his minimal techno roots and then flip things forward with remastered
releases from his ground-breaking label, M-Plant. Throughout this year the
Perpetual Masters series has been dropping one track per week, digitally,
from Hood's extensive catalogue with remastering by legendary German
producer, Thomas Heckmann. Now coming to vinyl are two of these remastered
tracks. Robert Hood's "Psychic / Pole Position" is a classic which
features his stripped-back minimal techno style that helped define the sound
in the late '90s. Both tracks are built around hypnotic rhythms and sparse,
precise grooves characteristic of Hood's influential production ethos.
Originally released in 1999, the EP reflects Hood's focus on minimalist
electronic structures and dance floor functionality, and has remained a
sought-after piece among fans of the genre |

generic sleeve repress - Glaskin is the alias of two brothers, Jonathan and
Ferdinand, based in Munich. The pair have emerged as key figures in the citys
electronic music scene as longtime residents of the renowned Blitz Club,
standing out a homegrown talents amongst its vibrant electronic landscape.
Bringing a unique, forward-thinking techno style, as evidenced by their
contributions to Mutual Rytms Federation Of Rytm II and III compilations in
previous years, they now mark a new chapter and open 2025 in style with their
debut 12 on the label, Inertia Of Motion. Each cut on the EP has been
handcrafted with analogue gear, reflecting their distinctive artistic and
sonic vision. The release is a direct outcome of the creative process behind
their live set, which has become an integral part of the duos identity and
shows a natural evolution of their singular sound. Hush Up kicks things off
with deep, rubbery and rolling techno rhythms. The drums are stripped back
and laced with pulsing synth patterns and spoken word snippets that add a
freaky edge. Double Tap ups the anti with classic, pumping deep techno with
smart filters adding movement to the track as urgent leads hurry onwards.
Inertia bring a more anxious atmosphere with tightly coiled drums and perc
and eerie bell sounds ring out over the fat, twisted bassline. The brilliant
Tank brings mind-melting loopy techno with dubby chords and textured leads
warming their way between the beats to great effect, while Motion is
suspenseful techno that locks you into a high speed groove peppered with
thumping hits and kicks. Last of all, digital bonus Blushed Blue explores a
moody, minimal, late night techno sound that is warm, stylish and hypnotic to
close the show |

generic sleeve repress - Georgian powerhouse Yanamaste drops long-anticipated
new EP on Mutual Rytm. In-demand DJ/producer Yanamaste is a resident at
Georgia's renowned Khidi Club and a key part of Amsterdam's Vault Sessions
crew. His unique sound and fresh creative approach result in raw and visceral
techno, reflecting his passion for pushing boundaries and showcased perfectly
via his 'Dance' EP on Vault last year. Now, he returns with an EP born out of
the creative process behind his live set with a debut appearance on SHDW's
Mutual Rytm, 'Evil' - a collection of heavily-requested tracks that have
already made an impact after featuring in his Boiler Room and Stone Techno
Festival livestream. 'Evil' kicks things off with perfectly rubbery, funky drum
patterns and an urgent sense of movement that sweeps you off your feet.
'Lahante' is more percussive, with busy snares riding the rolling, forceful
drums and stark synths arresting your attention. 'Dragonfly' is perfectly
reduced via minimal drums intertwined with thunderous effects and ghoulish
energy, while 'Modulation Detected' has a more cosmic feel as it journeys
into the future with whispered spoken words and synths searching across the
face of the groove. Last but not least is the irresistible broken beat
goodness of 'Walking On Mars', with its swinging kicks and vast bassline
spraying about the mix beneath hypnotic melodic patterns. Two superb bonus
cuts, 'Ohohoi' and 'Pwiu', are also provided for digital buyers, bringing
further gems loaded with moody depths and compelling rhythms. Yanamaste 'Evil' lands on Mutual Rytm on

generic sleeve repress - Portuguese techno mainstay Dextro drops cultured EP
'Covil Dos Abutres' for his label debut on Mutual Rytm. Dextro has been
immersed in electronic music and DJing since the early 90s. In the decades
since, he has become synonymous with a sound deeply rooted in simplicity and
authenticity. Fuelled by a passion for his craft, his production process is
guided by intuition and spans a diverse range of styles, from tunnelling
grooves to more potent techno with deep and hypnotic layers. He has held
several key residencies and released on top labels like CLR and Missile
Records, and he adds to those with a first outing on SHDW's Mutual Rytm with
'Covil Dos Abutres'. The five-track 12" and eight-track digital EP has a
sleek, stripped-back style, with wide-spanning corners of the techno realm
explored. 'Covil Dos Abutres' is a deep space transmission with journeying,
frictionless beats and deft sci-fi motifs that recall classic touches
synonymous with the genre's pioneers. 'Correct Incorrect' keeps the pressure
on with more rubbery, dubbed-out groves beautifully decorated with delicate
melodies. 'Vida E Morte' is another sublime and hypotonic minimal techno
sound with funk in the kicks and a freaky late-night spirit. 'Element One'
again combines perfectly reduced drum groves with atmospheric pads and
curious samples that keep you intrigued, and 'Beautiful Day' closes out with
sonar-like synth pulses over the most skeletal but captivating rhythms.
Digital cuts 'Time Line', 'Savana Urbana', and 'Diferencas' further explore
the intersection of minimalism with cosmic synth designs that take you off
into distant astral worlds. Dextro 'Covil Dos Abutres' lands on Mutual Rytm

generic sleeve repress - French DJ/producer Mathys Lenne's artistic vision is
rooted in his deep connection to rhythm. Telling stories with his sounds
while drawing inspiration from poetry and cinema and blending hypnotic
textures with raw intensity, his music is widely supported across the scene
via labels like Mord, Hayes and more. Across five vinyl cuts and three
digital bonuses, the four-deck wizard keeps it deeply atmospheric with his
label debut on SHDW's Mutual Rytm imprint, combining elements of psychedelic
rock, unique voice samples and saturated synths to create a sound that feels
immersive and unrestrained in contrast to the fast-paced, visceral techno he
has become known for. 'Detlev' opens up with hefty kicks that demand you
quicken your step, while industrial effects and creepy design brings the
detail that makes the track pop. The classy 'Natural Born Killers' rides on
firm kicks with loopy percussive details tightly coiled, ensuring you are
forever on edge as the drums march on. 'Choose Your Pill' is a stripped-back
and pulsing deep techno cut with deft synths that peel off the groove, before
'Untidy Echo' delivers a cavernous sound with sparse hits and low-end rumbles
that place you in the centre of an underground cavern. 'Enfer ou Ciel'
featuring D.E.S brings a sense of melancholy in the occasional string sounds
and watery droplets that float over more frictionless, meditative beats -
while the trio of digital bonus cuts brings moody subterranean rollers
ranging from snaking and dubby to more drum-led and eerie tones. Mathys Lenne

generic sleeve repress - French DJ and producer Hemka makes a striking solo
debut on Mutual Rytm with 'Introspection'. Born in Marseille and based in
Paris, Hemka has been shaping her take on techno for over a decade, steadily
growing her international presence with music on respected imprints such as
Token. Her music fuses the raw energy of 90s techno with modern textures and
is fast-paced, groovy and laced with subtle psychedelia. By weaving in her
own vocals, Hemka adds a deeply personal and authentic layer that resonates
with both the body and mind. Following the strong reception of her track
'Fragrance' on the 'Federation Of Rytm III' compilation, this potent new EP
is a powerful reflection of her bold, emotional and forward-thinking artistic
voice and the start of an exciting new chapter with SHDW's Mutual Rytm.
'Abyss' kicks off with tightly coiled, heavy-hitting drum funk and eerie
synths that never let up while ghoulish vocals layer in extra darkness and
anxiety. 'Time' is another sleek, stripped-back but banging wedge of linear
techno excellence and 'I Can't Shine' layers up paranoid vocals with
high-speed glitches and rubbery drums to ensure maximum impact in the club.
The excellence continues with 'The Bad Place' with booming drums and moody
synth atmospheres, getting you up on your toes and keeping you there. Last,
'Unchanged' fizzes with static electricity as wordless vocals refract around
the mix next to wispy synths and icy hi-hats. Digital bonus cuts 'Voice In My
Head' and 'Eternity' round things out with more heady and intense techno for
driving deep into the night |

generic sleeve repress - Maltese talent Human Safari debuts on Mutual Rytm
with jazz-influenced techno EP, 'Culture Shock'. Human Safari is a key player
in his native scene in Malta. He's a resident at Glitch Festival, has played
cult spots, and has a dynamic sound that brings jazz improvisation to techno,
often featuring live instrumental elements. His music has found its place on
top labels like R&S Records, and most of this new EP for SHDW's Mutual
Rytm imprint was produced during his Colombian summer tour last year -
written and recorded amongst inspiring and unusual settings with just a
laptop and headphones. "This EP represents embracing new beginnings
that, though might bring uncertainty and fear, the light always guides you to
where you were always meant to be." - Human Safari. Opener 'Mouse on
Keys' has been a key cut for the label boss across the past year, a unique
track that peaks curiosity from dancers to DJs whenever it's played. Its
cantering techno rhythm is overlaid with delicate, heartfelt piano keys
straight from a smoky jazz bar, making for a great counter to the physical
drums. 'Fragments' is a deeply
personal track dedicated to the artist's late grandfather. It's a funky,
soulful techno roller with blissed-out and sunny chords full of hope. Next,
'Classique' gets more gritty with loopy drums and bass and glitchy percussion
that fizzes with energy, while 'The Labyrinth' features piano motifs recorded
in just one take. It brings a dark paranoia in the uneasy, off-grid keys
which dart about with nervous energy over the booming low ends. There is just
as much intensity and edge to the unresolved keys that loop over the raw
drums on 'A Rainy Day in Bogota', before digital bonus cuts 'Dorian' and
'Phantom' bring more jazzed out techno madness with warped keys and
expressive elements bringing great invention |

deeply personal EP, 'Viciosa'. Scheermann is at the heart of the Berlin

Intakt Berlin vinyl pressing plant, where he first met Mutual Rytm founder
SHDW. As a resident of the Lorem Ipsum party series, he delivers cultured and

- supporting and pushing club culture to the forefront in more rural areas.
His music comes from a deeply personal place, never chasing hype or
headlines, and is usually found at home on his own imprint, SAMMLER. This new
EP marks his first appearance away from the label as he unveils a collection
of records crafted over five years, with each track representing different
moments in his life. 'Viciosa' kicks off with paranoid vocals panning about
as swinging, warehouse-ready drums pound heavily below. The gritty synth
craft adds plenty of texture as filters build the vibe. 'Placid Sin' is even
more intense with unresolved synths tripping you in a loopy state while
coarse percussion and cantering drums march on. 'Don't Care' is a rave-ready
cut that injects your soul with urgent synth energy over more minimal and
moody drums. 'Kano' brings a more elastic rhythm with dubby undercurrents and
sleek sonar pulses infusing it with mystery, while 'Reika' is a nimble cut
with icy hi hats and curious synth notes layering in late night suspense.
First digital bonus 'Resoclap' is a heavyweight swinger with dark, groaning

There
are techno classics, and there are techno classics! It’s without doubt that
Joey Beltram has played a pivotal role in the growth of the techno sound that
gestated in Detroit and was lapped up in Europe during those early years.
Beltram spearheaded a darker sound that became a staple in the UK and
European rave scene in the early 90s, and a sound that continues to come back
around for revival and a new twist on the genre from the producers and DJs of
the day. ‘Beltram Volume 2’ was first released on R&S Records in 1991,
and despite the huge success of the ‘Energy Flash’ single, released a year
prior, ‘Volume 2’, some say, is ‘Beltram’s definitive release on R&S’.
Deep, dark and deliciously hypnotic, all four cuts on this EP still sound as raw
and devastating 30 years later. Big tunes at seminal clubs like Rage (Fabio
& Grooverider) and the network of UK raves soundtracked by the likes of
Carl Cox, Colin Faver, Eddie Richards et al, Beltram’s unique sound help
spawn the bass heavy drum & bass genre that was also burgeoning at the
time. ‘Beltram Volume 2’ has been remastered by Beau Thomas at Ten Eight
Seven Mastering, and the release comes in an updated sleeve, faithfully
recreating the 1991 packaging featuring Christel Brodahl’s now legendary oil
painting. ‘Beltram Volume 2’ by Joey Beltram is available on R&S Records
from 9th December 2022 |

Aphex
Twins Xylem Tube EP arrived in the summer of 1992 on R&S Records, coming
hot off the heels of his landmark Digeridoo release, and an audacious follow
up from the then 21-year-old Richard D. James. Out of print for nearly two
decades, this long-awaited vinyl reissue restores one of the pivotal early
works in his catalogue. Where Digeridoo pushed the endurance of the rave
floor to its limits, the Xylem Tube EP stretched the Aphex Twin sound into
new dimensions with Polynomial-C becoming an enduring classic with its
spiralling arpeggios, shattering breakbeats and alien melodics. Tracks like
Phlange Phace and Tamphex (Hedphuq Mix) pushed distortion, humour and rhythm
into uncharted territory, while Dodeccaheedron acts as a bold signifier of
James radical ideas of how dance music can sound, with its ominous and
brooding synth work over a cacophony of eerie, broken beats. Three decades
later, the EP stands not only as a key chapter in the Aphex canon, but also
as a statement of intent from an artist set on reshaping electronic musics
DNA. Now faithfully reissued on vinyl for the first time since a 2006
pressing, this edition returns one of the most in-demand Aphex R&S titles
to circulation after nearly twenty years out of print |

Ixxel's
"Drop That Beat" returns with powerful reworks by Mosimann &
NightFunk. Including Original LP Version (Remastered). "Drop That
Beat," the cult classic by Ixxel that became a staple in clubs and at
festivals in the late '90s, is making its return. The iconic track receives a
contemporary interpretation by Mosimann, plus a high-energy club remix from
NightFunk. Together marking a rebirth that sounds both timeless and
hyper-modern. Mosimann, the French-Swiss DJ-producer, singer and showman, is
a leading figure in the French electronic scene, known for his bold, modern
and versatile sound. A six-time DJ Mag Top 100 DJ artist, he stands out with
explosive live performances in which he not only mixes, but also sings, plays
drums, and commands keyboards, a technical virtuosity that makes him a unique
live phenomenon, comparable to showmasters like James Hype. His rework of
"Drop That Beat" injects the track with that same hybrid energy and
performance-driven power. Mosimann: "This track is very important to me.
Fred Rister was much more than an influence: he was the first to truly get me
into music production when I was 20 years old. Before he left us, he handed
me the stems of Drop That Beat and told me: 'If one day you feel like it,
work on a version.' It took me years of reflection, doubts, and memories
before I found the strength to do it. Today, with the blessing of the two
original composers, I'm finally releasing this version. It's both a tribute
to Fred, a nod to Jacky Core and the Captain where I played so many times,
and a way to carry on the legacy of that '90s Belgian techno which, to me,
still feels very present today." Belgian house star NightFunk
complements this perfectly with a tight, club-ready remix that pushes the
track straight onto today's peak-time dancefloors. With this dual reboot, the
essence of "Drop That Beat" remains intact, while both artists
inject the track with their own signature touch. The result is an energetic
release that resonates with nostalgic fans and a new generation of ravers
alike. This special edition will be released on vinyl via Serious Beats
Classics, once again spotlighting the track's timeless character. A must-have
for collectors and DJs eager to weave a piece of dance history into their
sets |

pdqb,
the producer whose name sounds like a coded message, has surpassed the need
for introduction. It emerged from nowhere, becoming omnipresent almost
instantly, leaving every electronic music producer eager - if not obsessed -
to work with it. Its original tracks are raw and elegant with warm synth
lines, pulsing rhythms, and melodies that feel like echoes from forgotten
futures. They always carry a strange magnetic pull. Presented here are eight
stunning remixes of its already-released tracks. Each one its own universe,
each one remarkable in its own way, each one crafted by an expert in their
field. The eight pieces twist, stretch, break apart, and rebuild the
originals. They mutate into technoid creatures, melodies dissolve into vapor,
and rhythms reorganize themselves into something alien and alive, yet each
still holds a faint spark of pdqb's DNA, buried beneath layers of
transformation. Listeners will understand: this isn't just a remix album. It
is an evolution - eight reinterpretations of the same musical core, each
pushing pdqb's world into a new dimension. White vinyls in a Gatefold-Cover /

Barking-born
Jane Fitz, and Transmigration label founder David Fogarty, curate a
collection of tracks from East London and Essex’s rich but largely overlooked
constellation of independent record labels and distributors operating from
London’s E16 to the edges of the Thames estuary during the 1990s. Mysterious Vastness documents a hidden
and largely detached scene that only forms into something coherent with
hindsight. From a time when record labels could press and hand-distribute
1000 copies locally, the late 80s acid house and outdoor rave scenes were
moving from the fields to the clubs of London and DJs such as Colin Dale,
Colin Faver and Darren Emerson were dominating the airwaves and parties with
a distinct mix of other-worldly techno, trance and out-there house music.
Among the seemingly bland post-war housing estates and factories, a scattered
handful of producers were experimenting with early versions of music
production software to create an exotic, end-of-the-century soundtrack to the
suburban-meets-industrial landscape.
The compilation features a selection of finds from East London’s
second hand record or charity shops over a period of 15 years. Many of which
have featured in Jane’s sets over the years, most notably the “Beyond The
A13" Podcast for Furthur Electronix. A mix she described at the time as
the soundtrack to an area of London “totally bereft of natural beauty, but to
me, somehow always full of mystery and wonder |

(incl.
tracks by Rene Wise, Red Rooms, Connor Wall, STIPP & Sandrien, Lindsey
Herbert, AgainstMe, Mal Hombre & Porteix) The Fuga compilation returns to
Token with its seventh installment by a fresh batch of artists emphasizing
the cryptic sound of the Belgian record label. The V/A displays urgency as
its focal point, expanding and contracting its acoustic space throughout to
channel instability. With eight contributions, Fuga VII sifts through nail
biting arpeggios, frenzied percussion, and obscure ambiance to recalibrate
techno's current soundscape. Opening the compilation is contemporary techno
mainstay Rene Wise with his debut contribution to the record label 'Rough
Rider'. In this A1, Wise plays to his strengths by blending deep techno influences
with hyper-focused rhythmic work. With a hint of tribalism, he conjures up
synthwork from far off to whip motion into heavy drum patterns. Following
this first track, STIPP and Sandrien take control in presenting 'Corrie', a
sequence-forward groover that slides through drum programing to streamline
rhythm. A shrill pad comes in at the halfway mark, completely lifting the
energy of 'Corrie' to strain the track's obscurity with an ethereal
counterweight. The brief passage of these kinds of elements provides a lot of
dynamic to what would otherwise be a powerfully straightforward piece. Diving
deeper, Red Rooms unveils 'Limited Sensory' as the next chapter of the
compilation. Always swift and exact, the German artist continues to push into
the ultra immersive with a web of elements that whiz by for a peaktime lock
in. Cold in attitude, Red Rooms tunnels through 'Limited Sensory' with quick
drumsand far-off percussive hits that rumble through the track. Stepping up
afterwards is Lindsey Herbert with 'Oscillations in Space' - an appropriately
named recording that experiments with mania as a tool for the dancefloor.
Fast and spiraling, Herbert keeps her hands on the arpeggio's filter to
contain tension through thunderous reverb transitions, balancing panic with
pace. AgainstMe then stretches out the followup with the commanding 'Phase
Shift' to double down on weight. Textural intimidation and stomping
percussion is given the space it needs to perform on heavy weight sound
systems, making it an austere middle point for Fuga. MAL HOMBRE then guides
the listener to more elastic sound design in 'Critical Velocity', in a most
appropriate Token fashion. Snowballing in intensity halfway through, MAL
HOMBRE pushes the cutoff of his melody and programs snare rolls for vintage
craze through the second section. Bells clash with ringing hats to fly the
track along its course without looking back or letting go. Conor Wall takes
control with 'The Strategy' that focuses on pace rather than melody,
weaponizing metallic texture for a deep dancefloor experience. The ambiance
does a lot of story telling here, marking breaks and riding through drops to
provide grit to an already substantial record. This leads us to the final
contribution in Fuga VII - 'Ad Libitum'. Here, Porteix emphasizes the
conclusion of the compilation with mystery. The synths slither around
pulsating rhythm, creating uninterrupted motion throughout the track's
entirety. Porteix draws the curtains on an inquisitive note, keeping the
suspense high until the next Fuga compilation comes around |
