The Belgian party organisation
and record label De:tuned presents the final outing of their 10 year
anniversary vinyl series. "DE:10.10" kicks off with a trippy Plaid
remix of Humanoid's "sT8818r" track. The remix provides some more 3AM
rave pressure for those sweaty basement parties. Erik Van Den Broek aka
Shiver follows with a previously unreleased mix of "Primerose", an
emotive late night acid track that was released on the 5 Years De:tuned box
set in 2014. The B-side offers "Formulate", music straight from the
soul produced by the physical embodiment of UK emotive techno and one half of
B12, Steven Rutter. Lone completes the series with "Dream Ache", an
exclusive track that graced Rustie's BBC Radio One Essential Mix back in
2012, finally pressed on wax. Kevin Foakes (Openmind, DJ Food, Ninja Tune)
created all the graphic work. Mastered by Matt Colton at Metropolis
Mastering. This 12" is pressed on 180 gr vinyl and is housed in a
detailed silver foil sleeve to celebrate "10 Years De:tuned". Stay

Farron
continues the course of Shaw Cuts with his "Legend Of The Bat" EP,
following in the footsteps of Chu Liu Hsiang: the journey to Bat Island. The
voyage begins with "C.I.T.G", its relentless break-beat fundament
combined with coarse synth lunacy to wipe out the first dark shapes - moonlit
slaughter. Joining forces with rivals, Chu Liu Hsiang is no longer alone as
he advances on Bat Island. "Semi-Final Thoughts" accompanies the
newly-formed crew to the mysterious ground - a melody of warm synth and light
churned by industrious oldschool drums. But who to trust? The fleeting
harmony ends when several combatants unveil their guise and true motives.
Loyalties revealed, massacre ensues. "Unlimited Mind" pulsates, its
bassline and sharp percussion decapitating those who dare to deceive.
"Derby" epitomizes the tension of the final showdown with low
rolling tones, echoing chords and heavy percussion weaving the air like the

next chapter in Shaw Cuts comes from Russian duo Poima, who celebrate their
debut record "Twin Blades of Doom" - a fierce revenge mission and
hunt after the infamous Ghost gang. The pursuit opens with
"Triglau", its linear machine groove levelling a fraction of the
Ghost Gang. Heads roll on a crimson floor. Teaming up with mysterious masked
warrior Inland, "Triglau" morphs into a hypnotic trip. Pushing drum
rhythms and swirling pads combine with nasty noise elements, propelling the
hunt. The remaining enemy members are already hatching their next evil move.
On the way to Lu He Village where the Ghost Gang plans its next assault,
analogue break-beat punches and swinging percussions weave a menacing
tapestry of sound, crushing the "Bones" of rogue creatures in its
path. Serbian slayer Regen arrives in force for the final showdown at Qi Dou
Town where the Ghost Gang plans a huge heist. Armed with atmospheric pads and
a soaring drum crescendo, his interpretation of "Bones" ends the
Ghost Gang tyranny in one fatal sweep. And the saga goes on... |

Following
on from the hugely popular ‘Klavirni’ (Emika’s first solo piano album in
2015) her second installment of piano solos are a magical cluster of
melodies, dreamy effects, obscure production mistakes with tape echo’s and
other old analog gear. The pieces were recorded during the time she was
pregnant with her first child Silvy, to whom she has dedicated this record
‘To Silvy who heard it first from the inside’. The collection of ‘Dilo’s’
which means moment in Czech, were recorded ‘in a state of ultra hyped up
creativity combined with a massive fear about losing my identity or
creativity as an artist once I would become a mother’ - says Emika about the
album process. A truly personal affair and in keeping with the original style
of the first Klavirni, all the Dilo’s were recorded improvisations by the
composer on her home piano, this time in Berlin. Dilo 7 from the first album
has been streamed more than 15 million times on Spotify and there will also
be a ‘Red Edition’ repress of the album on vinyl. This release marks the 5
year anniversary of Emika Records, celebrating 5 years of independence since
her days with Ninja Tune. This is also the final release in her Emika Records
catalog before starting a new venture in 2020 with more details to follow
later in the year. 'Klavirni Temna’ which means dark piano in Czech, explores
the relationship between dark and light, good and evil, death and rebirth.

For
years, Rhythm Buro and Zadig have maintained a special relationship. The
French DJ and producer (real name Sylvain Peltier,) became involved with the
Ukrainian institution when he headlined their first party in Kyiv back in
2014. In the few years since, both Sylvain and Rhythm Buro have developed
into strong international brands that have become well-known and trusted.
They are thus ready to present another form of collaboration: Zadig's debut
record on the Kyiv-based label. "Takara-machi" EP is the sixth
release in Rhythm Buro's catalogue, following previous releases by Haze, Na
Nich, Cyspe and a few VAs on the imprint. RB006 is particularly notable for
its sonic diversity. Zadig, often known for his uncompromising and
hard-hitting techno ventures, explores a deeper musical side here, and delves
into his wide range of influences and inspirations. A good example of this is
found in the manga series "Amer Beton", with the excellent
soundtrack by Plaid, hence the Japanese name for the record's title track. At
least three of the six tracks on the record follow this influence precisely
and are rather cinematic: these are A and B sides' closing tracks |

reached into the archives and pulled out another popular classic to be given
the exclusive 7-inch coloured vinyl treatment. This time Blue Alphabet’s
Cybertrance and Quixotism are in the spotlight. In 1994 Blue Alphabet sent
shockwaves through the trance scene and pioneered the newly found Nu-Nrg
niche that existed only in the deepest darkest corners of the scene. Four
producers, Christophe Vervroegen, David Brants, Gregory Dewindt and Peter
Schiettekatte made up the group over the years and together they rocked the
globe. These four guys also make up a vast number of aliases who dominated
many releases for Bonzai collectively, far too many to mention here.
Cybertrance delivers the quintessential energetic trance track that is always
guaranteed to lift the party. Quixotism stood firm on its own as it delivered
an energetic and uplifting trance explosion. The simplicity of the melodies

After
the double LP 'The Loningisa Years 1956-1961', released in 2017, Planet
Ilunga continues to explore the monumental oeuvre of Congo's most legendary
band O.K. Jazz. This new 2LP compilation 'La Rumba de mi Vida' displays the
full extent to which O.K. Jazz and its bandleader Franco explored Congolese
rumba in the sixties and early seventies. Each of the four sides on this
double LP presents a different facet of O.K. Jazz. The songs presented on
this album justify why Franco was (and still is) regarded as the greatest
portraitist of Congolese society. Side A presents tracks published in the
early seventies on Franco’s label Editions Populaires. This was a period in
which Franco took full control over the orchestra and was integrating a new
sound into the band such as the return of the acoustic guitar and
collaborations with artists from the first generation of Congolese rumba such
as Manuel d'Oliveira and Camille Feruzi. Side B includes some of the first
recordings O.K. Jazz made abroad, when the band went to Brussels in the early
sixties to record for the Surboum African Jazz label. Side C features five
charming covers that O.K. Jazz did, mostly of Cuban artists. Side D shows the
band’s sensitivity for composing songs firmly rooted in the vast universe of
Congolese folklore, and for writing lyrics in languages other than Lingala,
Kinshasa’s lingua franca. Almost all of the 23 titles on this compilation
have not been re-released previously and were restored and remastered from
the original 45 rpm or 78 rpm release. This release would not have been
possible without the precious help from many connaisseurs and collectors of
Congolese rumba. A special mention goes to Stefan Werdekker, Hama-Dinga Ya
Makilo and Samuel Malonga for their kind assistance during my research |

Nikanor
is a Peruvian band based in Brussels, fronted by vocalist Marx Sánchez Sosa
and guitarist Angel Loaiza. Together they play Chicha cumbia, a unique genre
based on Andean melodies blended with tropical percussions and psychedelic
rock. The first Chicha cumbia bands appeared in Peru during the mid-1960's
and was very popular until the mid-1980's. In recent years, ‘la Chicha’ is
experiencing a cultural renaissance, with bands and audiences from around the
world (re)discovering its power and sound. Taking the big names and bands
from the Chicha cumbia era as a reference, Nikanor started in 2016 as a cover
band, to play the most remarkable and strongest songs to gain recognition in
the Belgian scene. Since then the band has evolved into a group that writes
their own compositions and songs. Nikanor’s songs are a mix of rock, Chicha
cumbia, tropical cumbia and Andean folk. Songs like ‘La Bajada del Kuraka’
with its Afro-Peruvian rhythms, or ‘Cóndor Blanco’ with its Quenas (Andean
panpipes), make this album a trip in sound into Peru. Listening to the songs
you feel like flying through landscapes and rhythms from all around the
country. All of this in a rock structured sound that invites to dancing and
partying in a live setting |

Guri
has been on the forefront of the emerging Balearic house music scene since
2011. DJ, producer and one third of the electronic live band Round Shaped
Triangles. He has released his music on top-notch labels like Wolf + Lamb,
Nite Grooves or Sub_Urban, where he also works as AR. On his vinyl debut,
Guri shows us that he feels like fish in the water producing the most
undergound side of house music. "Into The Light" and "House Of
Life" are two timeless deep house masterpieces, whose common denominator
is a powerful bubbly bassline that hits you in the chest like the toughest
heavyweight boxer. Catchy female disco voices and ethereal pads add to both
tracks the necessary atmosphere to become two psychedelic and adrenaline
trips. The first remix comes by the always amazing Ruff Stuff. His rework is
strongly influenced by Detroit 90's techno, with minor and melancholic

Inc. starts the new decade with fast, dark improv-techno tracks by the New
York DJ, producer and singer Heidi Sabertooth. The four tracks on UFO4 are an
impressive testimony to her passion for vintage gear and are the result of an
interplay of mainly three machines with which she also plays live: Roland
SH-101, Korg ESX2 Electribe and Yamaha DX200 - Sabertooth knows her tools
inside and out by heart and tried on this EP to sound as "live" and
spontaneous as possible. She plays her machines like instruments and want
them to have some life and breath in them because she grew up playing all
kinds of wind and string instruments and played in bands many years before
she became a DJ. Her approach to making tracks is to capture as much live
experimentation and weirdness as possible, while still making something that
grooves and kicks on the dancefloor.?She is not so concerned about making
things perfect, in fact sometimes she intentionally try to disrupt things if

la Calle & Romina Cohn’s “I’m Losing My Mind“ does a decent job helping
us lose ours. Taking the classic DBX template as a start point, Cohn‘s
random, spaced out musings elevate things to another level as they filter
through all manner of machinery, bathing the hypnotic percussion in a
lysergic glow. Fabe’s “Call of Origin“ pulls no punches either, the
energetic, bass driven intro bouncing its way centre stage before expanding
into lush open spaces with occasional melodic scatters and washes of warm
pads that radiate good vibes. Over the last couple of years, Adana Twins have
rightly consolidated there position at the top table, so it’s a pleasure to
have them on board with “Origo“. Like snake charmers relentlessly teasing and

Fatale’s second full-length album following his 2017 debut album for Hospital
Productions, is music about control. Using the connection between weaponized
sound and psychological manipulation as a conceptual foundation, Hayden Payne
explores the ways in which music – and sub frequencies in particular – are
used to influence thinking and to synchronize emotions and behavior: from
military technology to sound systems and the physicality and sexuality of
queer techno culture. Known for his innovative post-punk takes of dance music

Maastricht-based duo Hush & Sleep kick start their year by showcasing
their fiery fusion of dark, emotive energy with bounding techno rhythm. Since
forming in 2014 the Netherlandic pair garnered early support from Adam Beyer,
Amelie Lens and Charlotte de Witte while also playing alongside the likes of

Klein has been consistently putting out solid work for years, a habit that
has made other DJs – among them Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing and Laurent

at any given party. Born in Frankfurt and trained in classical piano as a
child, Klein cut his clubbing teeth at the likes of Robert Johnson and

With their reputation defined as
one of the most important and prominent death metal bands of our era,
CRUCIAMENTUM with their debut full-length album "Charnel Passages"
deliver what could very well be the death metal pillar of 2015. Prior, over
the last while, during a moment which included the UK death metal band going
on hiatus, CRUCIAMENTUM have essentially taken the UK death metal scene by
storm and had built their awareness solely on their "Convocation Of
Crawling Chaos" demo from 2009 and their "Engulfed In
Desolation" EP from 2011. "Charnel Passages" is a massive
death metal opus featuring the best work CRUCIAMENTUM have delivered to date.
With a huge and clear sounding production (courtesy of Greg Chandler's Priory
Recording Studio) that carries the ancient old school death metal vibe not

Hawara re-issue of a very rare and sought after Austrian jazz / AOR / funk /
pop album 'Straight Ahead' by Zenit from 1986. Includes the awesome track
'Waitin'' featuring Linda Sharrock on vocals. Zenit is a jazz ensemble from
Krems in Lower Austria, founded in 1976 by Hannes Treiber and Willi Langer.
Their music was celebrated locally, but to reduce them to their local fame
would be a shame: After all, their first two LPs, Stimmungswechsel (Change of
Moods) and Früchte (Fruits), quickly gained them a much wider audience of
discerning listeners. Arguably, however, Zenit’s third and final LP Straight
Ahead is the most special of their records. It initially came out in 1986 on
the producer’s label Spray Records, and is today one of the hardest-to-find
Austrian jazz records. Its centrepiece is the infectious slow-motion disco
piece “Waiting,” with vocals by American jazz singer Linda Sharrock.
Effortlessly bringing together pop, soul and new age vibes, this is a record
that is as unique as it is difficult to date. Does it sound like from the
80s? We’re not sure. To our minds at least, it could also be from the future |

enters a new era for 2020, featuring brand new projects from some of most
seasoned and some of the best electro producers around the globe. The label
as certainly step up a notch, but retains its elements of cosmic drive. This
release is a various artists 4 tack EP destined to blow your mind. Paul Rip
conceived Specimen Records 2012, devising projects under the production name
of Eugene Black / Black Art Circus. Prior to this Paul co-owned and managed
Plink Plonk Records during the ’90s after creating the seminal acid house
warehouse party in Londons @Clink St (RIP (Revolution In Progress), which
continued in and out of various warehouse venues under different projects
until 92’. Then started working with the likes of Kenny Larkin, Stacey
Pullen, Mark Gage, Ian Pooley, Mark Broom Derrick carter over the span of
Plink Plonk. During 2000 Paul embarked on a more academic level, curating and
studying Film and Sonic Arts until 2010. After a solid knowledge of
Electronic and Electroacoustic composition and its relevant aural history, he
decided to take a new approach by forming paste knowledge of operating a
label into Specimen |

Tripeo
collaborates with fellow Dutch artist Cadans on his self-titled imprint with
three original cuts entitled ‘Non Perfect Drone Replication’. Over the years,
Darko Esser aka Tripeo has become a truly respected figure within the techno
world. Widely known for helming his acclaimed Wolfskuil Records, BALANS and
self-titled label where he’s released an array of his own impressive
productions, Darko continues to edge out a corner of the techno sphere
through a regular gig and release schedule that’s been of consistent quality
for over 20 years. ‘Non Perfect Drone Replication’ marks Tripeo’s first
release of the new decade seeing him link up with Dutch producer Cadans who
has releases on Clone, Neighbourhood and Hardgroove (when not producing drum
and bass as Icicle). ‘Drone’ begins with tense atmospheres and haunting leads
underneath the humming percussion and oscillating synths that surge as the
track progresses before ‘Non PC’ employs energetic rhythms underneath
wavering modulations and spectral tones that keeps this peak-time cut
enticing through till the end |

"1995" is a reissue of
three tracks extracted from the Album "Rage Of Age", released in
1995 on the famous record label ACV Records. The CD version of the album
contained more tracks than the album's LP version. These three tracks were
never released on vinyl and it is impossible to find on the net. Three
different aspects of Freddy K really on fire at only 24 years old. Three
tracks with an original style that made Freddy special at that time. Unusual
from what today is called '90s style'. The title of "Mac-Beth"
wants to remind the famous damned opera called "Macbeth", the track
is hard, abstract and psychedelic at the same time. "Electro K" is
a personal vision of something electro, funky and crazy. "Love
trax" is a representation of what a love story can be. Welcome to this

"Glow" a cinematic and expansive slice of deftly produced

The
Liverpool-based DJ and producer ASOK returns to DVS1's Mistress Recordings
with his most diversified EP yet: "Mistress 14" unfolds ASOK's raw,
analog-heavy sound aesthetic full of broken kick drum patterns, stepping
basslines, and lush synths. With 25 years of record collecting, DJing, and
promoting parties around the UK, there is little of the dance music spectrum
that Stu Robinson has not been involved with. The Liverpool-based artist has
amassed a fine understanding of a wide array of scenes, styles and sounds
from drum & bass to electro-funk, disco to house and techno – underpinned
by a love of breakbeat. The music under his alias ASOK is an amalgamation of
this diversity that has found favor with labels like M>O>S, Lobster Theremin,
Crème Organization, and Mistress Recordings. "Mistress 14" opens
with "Space Rockets" which is a nod to his breakier love affairs
without using actual breakbeats. While second track "Is Anyone"
displays his take on classic Chicago House with a little Roland JD-800
