Kicking off a new concept for
Palinoia, I'm presenting a previously unreleased Donato Dozzy track that I
first heard in his infamous "DDKH" mix from many moons ago. I
regularly harassed Dozzy about this in hopes he had plans for it, but after almost
a decade of being questioned he told me to just put it out myself, provided I
was doing a track for the B-side. Knowing full well I couldn't make anything
nearly as gorgeous as Donato's underwater techno groover here, I decided to
go for something a bit more upbeat and party friendly, all the while as
wiggly as the masters' contribution |

Neanderthal techno, stomping, explosive and classic hardcore flavor, can't
wait to elevate Herrensauna peak time pressure with this. And as if this was
Rotterdam records. Dimi forgives that front left 2-step raver facing down
with, a small break and a sublime kitsch hardcore line, expertly driving by
the solo project of one half of AnD. After the massive remix for Peder on
KAOS04 OnScreenActor comes back with his first solo production. I talk to him
via an intermediate and I still have no clue who is the responsible of this
music, although I do not care. For me TACHI is the greatest production ever
released in KAOS. Finest murky hyperdisko. u.r.trax was born in this
millenium, met her when she was working as artist care of Possession last
year, not sure even she had the legal age to go in but her classy and freaky
bangers should be definitely sounding in the mighty Paris rave. Folge Mir is
just a small showcase of her big talent. Follow her. This may be the toughest
KAOS till date, take it or not. Fear enough |

trombonist Curtis Fuller (best known for his work with Art Blakey's Jazz
Messengers and appearance on the classic Blue Trane album).The 32 year old
John Coltrane had only just recorded Blue Train a year earlier and it is
interesting to hear his style beginning to stretch out, as he makes his
musical transition from strict hard bop to the groundbreaking style that
would become legendary the following year on Giant Steps, making Coltrane one

is a pure masterpiece of straightforward punk rock. A little less raw than
their previous material, but still far from the new wave sounds the band started

mixing it up with their own synth pop and new wave influences, Manshanden and
Robbers (adopting the Florence alias) forged a bold aesthetic with Eevo Lute,
both musically and visually. This was an early iteration of techno as
listening music, with an emphasis on expression and narrative over dancefloor
functionality, helped in no small part by Manshanden's striking poetry. This
double set of remastered, reissued tracks gathers together the earliest
Florence and Wladimir M. material, largely recorded between 1991 and 1994,
across five discs - the definitive document of a treasured piece of Dutch

fourth release in their white label series continues its focus on
dance-floor-ready madness with the label's second VA compilation on
"Sardonic Tonality Vol. 2", this time with four newcomers to the
burgeoning imprint. The A1 launches the release with "Step Out"
from mysterious duo "Taken Name". With razor-sharp sound design,
bass-heavy synth work, and sinister atmospheres this certified banger is
already proving its ability to get bodies moving. Following on the A2 is a
hazy smasher from Copenhagen resident and TRTLNCK co-founder Riesenfeld,
featuring epic synth lines and emotive pads while being propelled forward by
its rolling drum work in a perfect example of what draws people to the sound
of the Danish capital. The B-side begins with a true weirdo slammer from Ryan

a centurion, the greatest in charge in the Roman Army. With more than a
decade of experience behind him and which has dictated the aesthetic canons
of a genre, Lykos Records presents Ness and his EP "Memento". In
this sonic adventure Ness delves into the most hidden and dark ravines of
memory. In a succession of allegorical scenes, dystopian premonitions and
powerful evocative sounds "Memento", focuses his attention on
memory and how much it is fundamental, both as a psychic function of
assimilation, as well as for processing data in order to learning. The EP
opens with the track that gives the name to the work "Memento",
which immediately wraps the listener with the deep bass sound and through a
wise use of the pads and synths kidnaps his mind. When body and mind have
reached the perfect union, "Bionic Harp" comes into, breaking these
balances, with the body undergoes through a pressing groove and the psyche
intent on the perception of a harp melody, which echoing far away like a
vague foggy memory |

German duo Aloa only made one album in 1982, but it is one of the most
peculiar and innovative records of the Neue Deutsche Welle movement. Long out
of print, somewhat obscure, and very expensive, this record is due for an
official reissue. The album explores a whole spectrum of textures, moods, and
atmospheres. Ranging from dark complex synthed-out tracks to diverse
instrumentation-laced almost Krautrock motifs, this album is definitely one

Imagine Kraftwerk playing Steven Merritt songs. Using an arsenal of analog
instruments, Roladex nostalgically borrows ideas from music of the past to
carefully craft a unique brand of futuristic-mechanized pop, with an emphasis
on songwriting and layered production. Weaving sparse, sequenced arpeggios
into fuzzy bass and bubbly melodies to create a bed of sound where they
layout a somehow bright melancholia. Part minimal synth-wave, part dream pop,
Roladex fits nicely with other non-traditional pop acts such as Ariel Pink as
well as Synth contemporaries like Police Des Moeurs and Black Marble. The
opening track "Anthem For The Micro-Age" sets the tone with dreamy
atmospheric synth textures and interwoven male and female vocals. "Love
Surgery" is chock full of pop hooks and synth leads interspersed with
angular guitar accents. "Empty Streets" has an almost minimal John
Bender bedroom aesthetic. Fans of early Wire (esp 154), Drinking Electricity,

Ekman is no stranger to Shipwrec.
With three EPs and an album, the dutchman's brand of fire and brimstone has
seared a serious impression on the Nijmegen imprint. The fourth 12"
comes with a marked difference. That burning smouldering intensity that has
characterised the acid soaked electro and stained techno of past records is
present, however it is now sheathed. Beats are still sharp edged, as in
"Verdraaide Logica", yet keys have softened and taken on an
introspection. "Kronkel" is cast in a similar mould. From a
fearsome kick blooms an incredibly layered and thoughtful track where
melodies bob and weave while rhythms rail. Even amidst the sinister sidling
synthlines of "Anker Punten", with its piercing and punishing
percussion, there are understated pads to mellow. The glass and steel of
"Vast/Los" ends the EP. Angular lines permeate the piece,
reflection and refractions arc and bend in this science fiction finale. Depth
mixed devilment from start to finish |

A.F. returns to his own Exo Recordings International this spring with a fresh
four-track EP in the shape of 'Blissful Lie'. The fourth instalment on the
imprint sees the artist introduce his name change, shortening it to simply
Ludwig A.F. The whole release, but particularly the A1 ,,Blissful Lie"
is very inspired by classical music. It further explores the trademark
feeling of Ludwig's sound: celebratory and happy but melancholic and
introverted at the same time. It works with contradictions, hand crafted
sound design elements intertwined with bombastic emotional atmospheres.
Title-cut 'Blissful Lie' leads on the package, fusing ethereal pad textures
and bumpy breaks with choppy bass plucks and cinematic arpeggios and strings
to create a contemporary spin on classic IDM tropes. 'Weightless' follows
next - a tripped out, high octane electronica workout employing elongated
bass drones, syncopated rhythms and dynamically evolving acid-tinged synth
licks. 'Psychiflux' opens the flip side, laying focus on glitched out
percussion, vocal stutters, eerie atmospherics and weighty low-end hits
before 'Cloud Walker' rounds out the release on a deeper tip, dropping the

Simon & Shahin Moshirian back in 1996 on Master Maximum Trance Traxx,
Silverplate is considered one of the best Hard Trance releases of all time,
with the vinyl release becoming highly sought after over the years. Following
Michael Simon giving us his permission, this massive Hard Trance Classic is
being repressed, 23 years later, in collaboration between Simon Cutmore &
Underground Music. Although the original DATs were no longer available, this
has been remastered from uncompressed CD source, and sounds fantastic. The
label artwork pays homage to the original sleeve & centre label, and
comes in a generic sleeve. We're extremely proud to repress this masterpiece! |

Lucas Buchta and Gary Pilz have
been profound producers for a good chunk of the last decade. Throughout the
years, their individual forces intertwined into a germafrican vision.
Combining Luc's love for a detailed arrangement and Gary's exceptional sound
design, their project "LADS" was born. The German & South
African duo has seen their first releases dropped in 2017, including a debut
remix on Nie Wieder Schlafen that climbed up various Spotify playlists and
marked the start of continuous collaboration between the label and artists.
Three years later, the team returns for an ambitious original release,
pressed on black gold. The 5-tracker EP "Bamboo" explores a broad
array of sounds, from the orientalic "Cedar", including Gary's own
beautiful vocals to the textured "Tin Pan Alley", including a
special piano recording from Luc. Ambient atmospheres and funky house vibes
with "EDL" and main title track "Bamboo" deliver the
front and backend of the release, offering a diverse vinyl with various

techno tracks through the turntables. Already the first beats of A1
“Finnisage” hit right in the middle of the dusty underground heart. Starting
with a pure beat, he builds up level by level and creates his signature sound

more. The eight track release introduces a brace of new and breaking names to
the Belgian outlet, and zeroes in with particular clarity on the label's by

Morbeck
is one of the key figures of the Berlin underground scene, which makes him a
fitting piece of the puzzle to Wunderblock Records' hyper-formulated techno
vision. A resident DJ and purveyor of the club scene in Berlin, Morbeck has
released on numerous labels but his most recent achievement stands as his
2013 set up of imprint "Code Is Law", a home for creativity in the
techno universe. Now he delivers infectious EP "Berlin 95" drawing
on acid and techno influences and blending his unique style with a love for
the 80's and 90's that inspired him so. First up we have title track
"Berlin 95", nothing less than a forward-thinking acid trance
techno to get the heart racing and showcase Morbeck in his production skills.
The vibe gets heavier on "Melody Massacre", a slow-burner featuring
heaving percussion and snipped ethereal vocals and synth work which
intoxicate the listener. "Frankfurt 2000" is a swirling mass of
shimmery percussion, employing those frantic synths which are synonymous with
90's rave culture that Morbeck is so inspired by |

The Old Waldorf, owned by
legendary Bay Area concert promoter Bill Graham, originally opened in 1976
and was host to some of the Bay's most important early punk shows featuring
The Avengers, The Dead Boys, Bad Brains, and more. Though their debut album wouldn't
be released until the following year, Dead Kennedys were already local
legends by 1979, and they played The Old Waldorf on October 25th of that year
for a live college radio broadcast for KALX FM in Berkeley. With live early
versions of some of their most famous songs, including their classic first
single, 'California Über Alles', as well as 'Holiday In Cambodia', 'Kill The
Poor', 'Back In Rhodesia', and more, this is a crucial early SF punk live
