Brazilian producer 'Bungle'
returns to Thirtyone Records with his sophomore EP for the renowned British
outlet for all things drum & Bass. Doc Scott curates the label closely
and has selected four Bungle cuts that all have that same prolific vibe to them.
''Cocooned EP'' opens up with the sublime and dark title song. 'Cocooned'
revolves around a savvy bass cut and Bungle's signature big drums. 'Distance'
is a special piece with a gigantic pad at the centre of the song. The big and
jazzy hats are compilmenting the rhythm nicely while splashes of FX are
cleverly being used throughout. 'Eclipse' is a nervous electronic cut with a
thumping feel to it. Tech sounds, distortion and ethereal sounds are moulded
to a buldging piece of dancefloor music. On the last position of the
'Cocooned EP' tracklist we find 'Impulse'. This track stands for: huge drums,
deep bass sounds and a very ominous atmosphere |

2002 Slovakian scene is a
reality, pushing the boundaries from Birmingham and industrial techno music
from artist like Coil or British Murder Boys, a small group of producers in
Bratislava create an underground scene which timeless aesthetics marked the line
of the style even 15 years later. Antidandruff is without doubt the cult
label from that scene, with just 5 references which are almost impossible to
find and very high valued in the second hand market. OAKS presents
Antidandruff Legacy a compilation with two volumes with the transcendental
cuts from the catalog. Remastered by Joel Krozer at 6BitDeep Studio
Copenhagen, cut by Simon at The Exchange and served in the very traditional
Slovakian way: full volume, 45 rpm. For Disc-jockeys and collectors. Respect
to Rumenige and Loktibrada for making this reissue transcend to the next
generation and probably to eternity |

Tetelepta returns to his home base ESHU Records. Presenting four tripped out
originals accompanied by two excellent reworks by befriended artists Jasper
Wolff and Ion Ludwig. The pack perfectly captures the loosely and laid back
attitude of the label and Ivano himself, doing their own thing as always. The
a-side is all about the groove, a stripped down and playful rhythmic jam
built for a hazy late night session with Ion Ludwig turning this inside-out,
transforming the original into a lengthy minimal dub version. The early
morning sun rays bring the vibes on the flipside where 'Loosen Up' is an
atmospheric 90s feeling techno floater where Indigo aera head honcho Jasper
Wolff shakes this up with a fierce techno twist. As special addition there's
a 7" where Tetelepta shows one of his enlightening dub meditations and a
rambling early Mills-esque tribal work-out. The whole bunch is mastered by

Formed
in 1978 in Bishop Stortford the band decided to call themselves The
Epileptics following a suggestion from one of their mothers. In August 1978
Crass played in Bishop Stortford and a long lasting friendship was
established. Complaints of i'll-conceited jocularity' from The British
Epilepsy Association resulted in a name change to Epi-x, then changed to The
Licks under pressure from Stortbeat who in 1979 released the band's debut
single, much played by John Peel. The band changed their name back to The
Epileptics, more releases followed, then in early 1980 the nucleus of The
Epileptics re-emerged as Flux Of Pink Indians. When Flux Of Pink Indians
released Neu Smell in the summer of 1981 it did so well, Stortbeat decided
that they were going to re-release 1970's. The band were in Southern and
complained about this to Penny Rimbaud. He suggested that they re-record it
and played drums on these versions, released in the autumn of 1981 on
Spiderleg Records. This reissue of 500 copies reproduces the original artwork
and labels as closely as possible and is on white vinyl |

Formed
in 1979 in new town Harlow, The Newtown Neurotics are one of the most under
rated but essential punk bands. Kick Out! is a 15 track round up of their
first six singles taking in the years 1979 to 1984. The first two singles
Hypocrite and When The Oil Runs Out were melodic nuggets released on their
own No Wonder label. Both of these singles were written prior to the election
of the Thatcher monster. The horror of this event changed what was the
non/political writing style of Steve's lyrics into the other extreme, and so
in June 1982 Kick Out The Tories was released on CNT records. Sadly 38 years
later, the lyrics are most poignant and needed than ever. The band continued
releasing single after single from the painfully personal to the politically
pertinent, all done with intelligence and style. Also included is Andy Is A
Corporatist & Mindless Version taken from the Son of Oi! compilation. The
album comes with a 32 page booklet of archive - photos, reviews, interviews
and more and was conceived to be released alongside the Documentary of the
same name about the band's history |

Bonamassa, who said right away he wanted to play on it. And that’s how this
album came about. Joe inspired me to invite others. I had songs that were strong

Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, Van Morrison and more to take them in

“Join the PAC – Come and join us” to commemorate the 40th anniversary of
Pac-Man ’s birth. The memorable 40th anniversary official theme song “JOIN
THE PAC” was produced by ‘Ken Ishii’, the techno god of the Orient. The video
clip of his masterpiece “Extra” (directed by Koji Morimoto also known as the
drawing director of the movie “AKIRA”) was awarded “MTV Dance Video of the
Year” in UK, which brought him as one of Japan’s most proud producers to the
world. A special music video for “JOIN THE PAC” is directed by Yuichi Kodama,
who is renowned as a chief video director of flag handover ceremony at the
2016 Rio Olympics closing ceremony, and his “UNICLOCK” online ad campaign
(2008) for UNIQLO, which won grand-prix of three biggest advertisement
awards, the Cannes International Advertising Awards, the Clio Awards, and the

Brianna
Price turned plenty of heads when, earlier in 2020, she swapped out her
well-worn B.Traits moniker for the new title of Baby T. A change of name also
signalled a departure from the booming techno-centred sound Price had been
pedalling as B.Traits - she promised, all guns blazing, that Baby T was about
'hardcore junglist shit only'. The project's debut drop, an EP for Samurai
Music entitled Portra, put that manifesto into action, running the gauntlet
of darkside drum 'n' bass, ardcore soundsystem techno and dark ambient. From
the whip-crack electronic drums which usher in Baby T's second record I
Against I it is apparent that we're in for another wild ride. Emerging here
via Central Processing Unit, Price meets the CPU sound halfway on I Against
I's A-side, delivering two super-snappy broken-beat electro joints which both
have a malevolent, dystopian edge to them. The levels are high from the off,
with opener 'I Wish' fronting nasty, high-wire machine-funk that draws its
strength from the Bunker, Djax-Up-Beats and BPitch Control sounds. 'Acid
Science', another helter-skelter melange of needling synths and vocal licks,
follows |

Amin Peck is an electronic studio
project, contaminated by the New Wave from U.K. like most '80s electronic
bands. Amin-Peck walked a fine line between Disco and Minimal Wave throughout
the course of the early 1980s, oftentimes incorporating shameless Pop
melodies and Avant-garde leanings. Amin Peck were an italian band leaded by
Giorgio Fioroni (aka George Fyron, arrangements, production, vocals) with
Leonard Parker (arrangments, keyboards) and Max Marne (production).
Incredible but true, Amin Peck started as 'hard rock' guitar band in the
70's... and becoming one of the best examples of italo disco. This limited
edition contains full-length versions plus uncut audio material (A2) tracked
down during tape restoration. The first pressing coming from 1982 was pressed
only on 7inch in UK |

"The Renegates of Planet
Earth" were a group of DJ-producers from the detached Best Record of
Sabaudia (small Saint-Tropez of the Tyrrhenian Sea, 100 km from Rome). They
had the excellent idea of having Herbie Goins play "You Don't Love Me"
(who also wrote the lyrics) who was the frontman of Alexis Korner's Blues
Incorporeted and band leader of the fabulous The Nightimers in the Sixties.

again Swiss legend DEETRON, through his class, hits the mark. His Vesuvius
edit of Gaetek's is a slamming track with driving drums and worms synths that
bring it into the present day with a real sense of style. STEVE BICKNELL is
another techno legend who runs his own 6dimensions label. His edit of a track
from Gaetano's Ritmatica goes as usual directly to the point. Steve stays
true to the original sense of the track by masterfully adding his
"Lost" touch through reverbs and percussion. KEN ISHII, a true
Japanese techno titan, incredibly manages to bring color and life to Gaetek's
Advanced Series Vol. II. The result is amazing! The track is a dance floor
killer. Its vintage charm is the key! The Spanish Maestro, OSCAR MULERO,
brings his dark and hypnotic style to the original Gaetek track. His Omre
Edit totally distorts the original one using percussion and filters giving
that hypnotic flow for which the Madrid artist has always been known and

jam on this twelve, a track that truly sends you off to the depths of the

The latest release on Private
Possessions finds itself landing in the embrace-inducing, euphoric, yet
tear-worthy Bermuda Triangle of the proverbial DJ vibeboard: the cathartic
response to over two years of album-dedicated studio time. The release also begs
of a more existential question bleeding into the social consciousness:
"Where do we belong?", to which the answer is simple:
"Together". 'Reveries Of A Solitary Dancer' was inspired by an
article of the same name by Artforum's David Velasco. The piece details the
legacy of artist Adrian Piper and her extensive body of work, most notably in
the field of dance. Velasco reveals Piper's desire to "transform the
mechanisms that divide people into groups" and highlights her belief in
dance spaces as conduits for reunification during times of segregation.
Piper's ethos is clear: "GET DOWN AND PARTY. TOGETHER." |
