Argentinian producer Thissperso
has been living in Barcelona for a good season while producing music that
reflects what he experiences in his day to day life. His productions are
harsh and violent, but they have a quality and energy that makes them contagious
and addictive. This work, edited by NNY Records, compiles some old songs that
have been revisited and remastered, which coexist with new compositions that
continue to explore the most visceral and dark side of electronics. This is
the work of a producer who is not tied to any style and who enjoys setting
the dancefloor on fire when one of his songs is played. Producers like Parris
Smith have already been able to verify it in the first person with a couple
of songs from this new EP in which we find Electro mixed with Industrial,
EBM, Acid and a punk and nonconformist attitude |

the great South-African pianist Dollar Brand (later known as Abdullah
Ibrahim). One of the first African musicians to speak out from a different
Jazz perspective. Recorded in Johannesburg in 1962 and reissued here for the
first time on LP, 'Play Sphere Jazz' is also one of the very first African
Jazz productions. This is vibrant and emotionally powerful music performed by
an extremely inspired trio including Dollar Brand himself on piano and two
other historical South-African musicians, Johnny Gertz on bass and Makaya
Ntshoko on drums. A great album, rescued from the mists of time almost 60

One
of Jamaica's most popular "deejays" or rappers, Dillinger was one
of the few Jamaican sound system toasters to rise to international prominence
as a recording artist during the mid-1970s. Born Lester Bullocks in 1953, he
was raised by his grandmother in a peripheral neighbourhood located on the
outskirts of Kingston. After moving into a tough ghetto area in western
Kingston, he became a protégé of Dennis Alcapone, the star deejay on an
influential set called El Paso, and was known as Young Alcapone until the
maverick producer Lee "Scratch" Perry renamed him Dillinger,
cutting a dozen or so tracks at Dynamic Sounds studio in 1973, of which the
most noteworthy was "Dub Organiser," which saluted King Tubby and
his sound system. Recordings for Phil Pratt, Augustus Pablo, The Abyssinians
and GG Records led to an impressive album for Studio One, but it wasn't until
he began recording for Ossie Hibbert and Joseph Hoo Kim at Channel One that
the world took notice, following the dramatic success of Island's CB200 album
and its break-though hit, "Cokane In My Brain |

a solo mission from Robert Hood. 'The Struggle' opens with acidic-funk that's
highlighted by Tamika Mallory's stirring speech following the murder of
George Floyd, before launching into powerful stripped-back Techno. This is
protest music, Hood-style. The rest of the EP is devoted to Robert and Lyric
Hood's collaborative Floorplan project. The original version of 'Save The
Children' brings tough House with blazing horns and vocal refrains to

Originally
conceived for a multi-media installation, the music contained in this album
represents one of Lewis and Gilbert's earliest steps in their immediate
post/WIRE period. With the band's break-up in February 1980, the duo began to
take a more explorative approach through various projects (Dome, Kupol...).
Clearly they needed something different and more open out. That's how they
started to work on the Mzui multi-media installation, some sort of evolving
work in progress that eventually took place at London-s Waterloo Gallery in
August 1981. Joined by artist Russell Mills, the ex-WIRE duo built an
imaginary space where all sorts of sculptures, found objects, ambiance sounds
and audience reactions were components of the same multiple experience. Some
time afterward Cherry Red Records proposed a recording project based on the
mixing of the resulting tapes. The whole MZUI album, originally released in
1982, is about the notion of sound as landscape, and the soundscape as a
guide to an extended form of listening and a unique aural experience |

fast paced 909s fire against the backdrop of rapid, modulating synths. Setaoc
Mass' remix comes up next, offering a deeper more restrained affair. However,
as usual, the adept nature of his productions deal out devastating effect. On
the flip, Mission 3,2,1 delves into dubbed out synth work whilst retaining
drive and groove. Further dub explorations are found on closing track The
Andromeda Manoeuvre. Spacial synth work and atmospherics ebb and flow as

we could describe LUZ1E's music with one word, it would certainly be
"eclectic". Having drawn influence from her brother's collection of
Chicago and New York House, the Frankfurt-born producer has learnt to
manifest her learnings into a fresh take on the seminal sound. Following her
success on labels such as Lobster Theremin, Shall Not Fade, Goddess Music, we
are very excited to present her four track EP for VOITAX - Radical Optimism.
The opener "Transition" lays down LUZ1E's law, featuring headstrong
drum work, matched with equally menacing bass arpeggios. If the theme of
apocalypticism wasn't obvious enough from the opening track's looming pads,
it will become apparent with "Electronic Warfare". Served up on
electro's trustworthy chassis, we watch the distorted arpeggios unfold as the
tension of the pads guide us to an dystopian finale. On the flip, the title
track "Radical Optimism" uses shrill pad pressure to break the
track's dreamy opening sequence - as the modulating bass provides plenty of
frequencies for the dance floor. The closing track, "Emotional
Intelligence" provides a candid looking glass into the producer's
musical influences |

Dream
Control is the collaboration of a legend of the Krautrock Kosmiche scene and
a pioneer of the German electronic scene. Zeus B. Held, renowned producer
(Gina X Performance and works under his own moniker) and Steve Schroyder
(former member of Tangerine Dream during their formative period) team up to
deliver their debut album "Zeitgeber" which celebrates their very
own sound and rhythm in a cosmic journey through audio and time. The tracks
are a blend of structured compositions and improvisations accented by the
throat singing of Kolja Simon und Felix Monnich aka AlienVoices. The album
plays like a Technicolor adventure through space with explorations of cosmic
disco, dreamlike passages, vocoder lullabies, and space odysseys. Zeus B.
Held began his musical career in 1972 in French progressive art-rock band
Eruption before joining successful German prog rock group Birth Control,
performing and writing with them 1973 - 1978. He was one of the first
musicians to use the Sennheiser Vocoder VSM 201 in his live sets. Zeus'
production work with cult project Gina X Performance transformed him into an
electronic specialist producer settling down in London for over 20 years. In
his London studio he worked with artists including John Foxx, Dead or Alive,
Men Without Hats, Transvision Vamp and Gary Numan, did a series of

key label on the Berlin scene since the 1990s, Muller Records—famed for a
deep and chunky club sound from artists like Dave DK, Claude Young and The
Hacker—is back with a new EP from Beroshima feat Rummy Sharma with remixes
from Namito and Pascal Hetzel. Beroshima, of course, is the production work
of label Frank Muller sometimes accompanied by ethereal electronic music
specialist Ulrich Schnauss. After more than twenty years together they have
amassed a fine body of work that includes five albums and more than a hundred
Eps! Always mixing up acid, techno and tribal into something fresh, the
Beroshima sound has its own unique signature.... For this latest single
Muller steps up solo to produce another gem. The stellar Delhibelly is a
slick and muscular cut that bubbles away on a bed of warming bass.... Smeared
pads add soul and snares flap about like tin foil in a breeze. It's a
futuristic cut that will always pack a punch in any context. The Techno Mix
is just as soulful but is quicker and more expansive so as to carry dancers

Corridor was the London post-punk quartet of Paul O’Carroll (Voice, Synth),
Andy Garnham (Synth, Bass, Drum), Chris Davis (Guitar, Bass, E-Bow) and Nogi
Prass (Synth) named after the Sam Fuller film from 1963. Chris met Nogi
shortly after moving to London in 1979, started playing music together, fell
madly in love and decided to form a band. They recruited Andy, who had
previously played in a band with Steve Luscombe of Blancmange, and lyricist
and vocalist Paul. A home studio was set up at Andy’s flat in Notting Hill,
where the band recorded and rehearsed. More interested in studio
experimentation than live performance, the band only played a handful of
gigs. Their influences were wide reaching: Kraftwerk, Neu, Cabaret Voltaire,
Eno, PIL, and Joy Division. Their equipment list included a Korg MS-20, Wasp,
Pro-One, Roland TR-808, WEM Copicat, guitars, bass, e-bow and an assortment
of effects pedals. The crucial fifth member of the band was, of course, a
TEAC reel-to-reel 4-track recorder. After recording a four song demo they
were offered a deal by Shout Records. The debut 12” single, ‘A Blind Sign’,
was released in autumn 1982 and the band booked a studio to record an album’s
worth of songs that winter. But Nogi received notification from the home
office that she would have to leave the UK when her visa expired at the end
of the year |

grime producer OH91 returns to Coyote Records for the first time since the
back end of 2014 with new single, 'Shuttle'. Having released his debut
record, 'Stealth', with Coyote back in 2013, OH91 also released a remix of
Rapid's 'Xtra' beat on white label through the imprint in 2014, backed up by
a an edit of Footsie's 'Prang Boy' from label mate Chemist — the 12' sold out
in less than a week. Releases with up-and-coming indies White Peach, Trapped
Audio and Banana Stand Sound have also checked his progress over the last two
years, as well as collaborative production work with long-time friend and
mentor, Sir Spyro. Honing in on a day-dot instrumental grime sound favoured
by MCs, OH91's work on 'Shuttle' is sharp and brutally effective, sirens form
the basis of the short intro, as a booming, looping beat — boosted by tense,
anxious strings — slingshots the track straight into the dance. On the flip,
Dutch producer JLSXND7RS, fresh from producing a number of tracks for Wiley
on latest album, 'The Godfather', throws down a fierce, contorted remix full

Meandyou return with the ninth instalment of the collective's
record label, this time presenting Manchester cult techno artist J.S. Zeiter.
Zeither resurrects his Analog 1 alias for his second outing on the label,
after 2012s mini album on the collective's first edition of the TAPE series -
the cassette featured original material split per side between Zeiter and
Meandyou's Herron. In the late 1990s, J.S. Zeiter reached cult status by
releasing a string of dub-infused techno EPs under his SJ moniker, each
becoming sought after amongst collectors and DJs. Styrax Leaves recently
reissued a number of his classic tracks, including new edits of the
previously released tracks. He has released music on his own MCMLXV and JS
imprints, as well as Pleasure Music and Phorma. 'Restoration EP' features 3

2020 sees the 50th Anniversary of the release of David Bowie’s The Man Who
Sold The World in North America. The album marks the beginning of a
collaboration with guitarist Mick Ronson that would last through classic
works including Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane—as well as the
first in a 10-year series of indispensable albums stretching through 1980’s
Scary Monsters… Originally titled Metrobolist, the album's name was changed
at the last minute to The Man Who Sold The World. The 2020 re-release of the
album under its Metrobolist moniker has been remixed by original producer
Tony Visconti, with the exception of the track ‘After All’ which Tony
considered perfect as is, and is featured in its 2015 remaster incarnation.
The Metrobolist 50th anniversary artwork has been created by Mike Weller who
was behind the historically controversial “dress” cover which Mercury Records
refused to release. As with the Space Oddity 50th anniversary vinyl, as well
as a 180g black vinyl edition, it will come in 2020 limited edition
handwritten numbered copies on gold vinyl (# 1971 - 2020) and on white vinyl
(# 1 - 1970) all randomly distributed |

Charlotte
de Witte's mighty KNTXT label rolls on with another big new EP from Italian
wonderboy Alignment. The Berlin based techno talent serves up four suitably
supersized cuts that follow on from his Time EP, which landed earlier in the
year. For the last five years, this artist has been amassing a fine
discography of thrilling techno. This has earned him a worldwide reputation
amongst the techno cognoscenti, and despite the global pandemic this year, he
has still put out plenty of red hot new material that proves he has used his
extra free time at home wisely. He can do old school inspired bangers as well
as refined futuristic techno rollers with equal style, and proves that once
