and we are keeping it tight and sharp. Oscar Mulero is the mind behind this
creature, offering three cuts of merciless techno exercises both physically
and digitally. Opening track is "Tormenta", Storm in spanish, a
fast paced groove with almost all elements up from the very beginning. Wisely
distorted drums, continuous filtered sequences, a sharp elastic line running
and mutating across the structure. Direct and mental at the time.
"Espectro Rojo", Red spectrum translated begins with obsessive
distorted evolving lines, shuffled hi hats and precise kicks. The stereo
field is constantly worked out augmenting the experience exponentially.
"Gradiente de Voltaje" closes the EP, the overall feel is less
distorted and more opaque and lo-fi. The liquid filtered bassline is soon
joined by distorted hats, alternating patterns and twisting the sounds
wisely. No sudden interruptions, no abrupt changes, just the right dose of
hypnosis to use as a powerful tool |

producer has amassed a global audience of listeners, all united in their
appreciation for his luscious, upbeat house music and an outstanding

signature style of delicately constructed, sample-heavy dance music, this EP

It was surely a matter of time
before Leicester natives, darlings of the UKG revival Y U QT graced Time Is
Now with a release. Cooper and Darryl Reid have been repping the Midlands'
oft-forgotten 2-step and bassline scene since being picked up by Riz La Teef's
South London Press in 2019; since dropping two EPs on Warehouse Rave and
getting picked up for a remix by Conducta's award-winning Kiwi Rekords. For
Time Is Now, the duo have put together five tracks of dynamic, cheeky garage
that takes influence from the full breadth of the genre. Studded with
bangers, the EP kicks off surprisingly gently with "Be Real". Some
spaced out keys float over the 2-step rhythm before hitting a sidewinding
bassline and the pace picks up in "Keep On Lovin' Me" - a classic
speed garage sound you can't help but move to. Cooper and Reed show their
ruder side on the frenetic, brass infused "Look Good" and the
deeper, Niche-style wobbling bassline on "Chopper". The record

Thomas and I met a while ago on a dancefloor, however our friendship sealed
for good when we met online playing endless Splatoon sessions on Nintendo
Switch. Our common interest in a broad range of things and music in
particular led to a deep exchange of ideas when it comes to the love for the
vinyl product. Having started the label last year with DJ DEEPs VAINCRE EP, I
can surely state that Thomas was kind of a mentor and of countless help when
it comes to setting things up. I therefore couldn't be happier and more
thankful to welcome him to the CHILDHOOD family with BLITHE SPIRIT, a true
masterclass EP ranging from experimental and complex rhythms, over driving

Dalmata Daniel presents the new
album by Dutch West Coast mid-veteran Roberto Auser as an opening act in the
label's LP series that comes with colored sleeve and limited to 200 copies.
Also includes a hand-numbered riso-print as insert. Auser (born Derk Reneman)
has been into cinematic (or b-videomatic) electro for more than a decade now,
with releases on Viewlexx, Pinkman, Gooiland Electro/Enfant Terrible and
more, ranging from atmospheric and hypnotic to tight and grim, but always
loaded with a vision of a storyteller. In a Dutch way, for sure. Though
Second Sun is, again, an audiovisual trip, that's not the primary concept
here - it's probably the purest album-like experience of Robert Auser so far,
presenting most of his characteristics and sounds, and also new elements,
still, all are coherent and organic parts of Reneman's projective language of
electronics |

Wrecks' sub-label GRAFITI TAPES is back for its 12th instalment and features
music and artwork from one of the most important and formative writers in
early UK graffiti history, in fact Coma (or Richard Sen as he's also known)
has the accolade of being one of the first ever writers to paint the London
Underground system in the mid 1980s. His iconic 'Bottleneck' style train
panel (which features on the sleeve artwork of this release) caused quite a
storm in the national press and served as a landmark for the countless
writers that came after him. Richard put down the spraycans in 1988 and has
since had a flourishing and long career in music as a DJ and talented
producer, his productions sonically capturing the 'boilingpot catch-all'
style of Hip Hop culture. Richard's release for GRAFITI TAPES comes on two
formats (vinyl and tape cassette) and serves up a total of 6 tracks. Included
within is a melange of post-punk basslines, clattering breakbeats, trancey
pads and a unique atmosphere that many writers will recognise from a legacy

On
March 5th, Ongehoord is releasing the concluding album of the Deadline
Paranoia trilogy; Deadline Paranoia 3/3. The final set of rereleased
psychedelic sounds that complete the oeuvre of the 1980s Amsterdam based
band. Jeroen Vermandere, the person behind Ongehoord, discovered the band
during his thorough search of Dutch cassettes and 1980s cassette culture and
presents us this carefully selected triptych, taking the listener on quite a
trip. 3/3 starts with a guttural exhalation, a celestial moan, setting the
tone of the rest of the album - from there on the hot stickiness of dub oozes
into the listener's ears, followed by ancestral percussion, rolling guitar
riffs, and the nomadic sounds of the melodica. DeadlineParanoia 3/3 is
light-hearted and suffocating all at once; the meditative rhythms cradle you
back and forth while an array of peculiar sounds passes by, alluding to the
band's delusional name.The record comes with an inlay presenting the original
artwork that Deadline Paranoia used for their cassettes, capturing a
dichotomy that is recognizable in their music; a sensitivity towards the
spiritual placed alongside anarchic violence. You will be taken on a surreal
journey, timeless sounding beats are accompanied by wailing instruments, the atmosphere
is thick and heavy with smoke |

For
the fourth vinyl release of the well-established Insane Code Recording label,
a multifaceted artist is proposed: Forcytek. His works range from various
styles of electronics, from classical House to experimentation with
industrial-type sequences and sounds. In this work, however, thanks to the
vocal accompaniment of an Underground artist: Sadimah (SADI Oortmood), she
expresses herself with a track in the Melodic Techno style. On a day of
winter weather, inspired by her machines (including the unmistakable
classical percussion of the Roland TR-909) and the singer's dark voice, the
December One track is generated. From this track, an EP with 3 remixes and an
Acappella is obtained. The first remix is by the producer and artist of the
same ICR who takes us on a sonic journey through the effects and voice of
Sadimah with very original percussion and timbres created ad hoc with his
special machines. The second remix is from the explosion of Dancefloor,
proposed by a great DJ and producer, legend of southern Italy: Federico
Guglielmi who with his global vision of music will make us dance from the
beginning to the end of the track |

Records is thrilled to announce the official reissue of the hard to find
'Beat - Action' library compilation originally released in 1980. If you loved
the 'Funky Chicken' and 'Funky Chimes' compilation on the label, you will
definitely dig this! Library music was music recorded in a multitude of
contexts and styles by work-for-hire musicians, owned by music-library
labels, and lent out to commercial enterprises in TV, radio, and film. In the
heydays during the 60s and 70s, composers could labor under multiple
pseudonyms and library labels would promote their own brand over a musician's
particular identity. 'Beat - Action' was released in 1980 by the Belgian RKM
Music Library label under the watchful eye of music producer Roland Kluger.
The compilation contains instrumental jazz funk and pop disco gems recorded
by renowned musicians from that era including John Sluzny, Doug Lucas and
Ralph Benatar. Some tracks on the compilation are instrumental versions of
The S.S.O. Orchestra album 'Give A Damn' released in 1976, other tracks were
previously released in different versions, including vocals, through various
monnikers like El Chicles, Blackfoot, Chicken Curry or Leonil McCormick, all
part of the impressive RKM stable at that time. Essential library classic
back in print for the first time in 40(!) years. Think fat drum breaks, funky
bass, Fender Rhodes and killer lush arrangements! |

Zwerm
is a Belgian-Dutch electric guitar quartet (with a backyard rehearsal shed
located in Antwerp) that operates along the borders between styles and
traverses traditions that are typically not convergent. Zwerm rhymes Larry
Polansky with Nadah El Shazly and are galvanized by the likes of guitars
pioneers like The Velvet Underground and Sonic Youth, the microtonal DYI-er
Harry Partch, Middle Eastern sonorities and the prog-madness of Kind Gizzard
& the Lizard Wizard. ‘Musical adventure’ is not just a hollow cliché for
this quartet, but a genuine commitment. Zwerm calls itself a ‘guitar
quartet’, but that can be interpreted broadly as well as with a pinch of
salt: “If we want to do something on instruments we don’t really master,
we’ll just figure out a way to make it work.” Toon Callier, Johannes
Westendorp, Kobe van Cauwenberghe and Bruno Nelissen all met in 2007 while
working on a project with Glenn Branca. A new guitar quartet was born and it
became clear rather quickly that staying in the strictly contemporary
compositions lane was not for this quartet-with-five-to-six-members (an
organizational chart is available upon request). An appetite for new and
lasting collaborations has been a constant theme throughout their artistic
parcours |

British Electro veteran Bass
Junkie returns for his second vinyl outing on Bass Agenda Recordings, this
time with a full-length album. As his last release, "Low Frequency
Fugitive" indicated, he has been working hard on developing his
trademark sound and taking things forward; no mean feat for someone who has
been ahead of his time since he began releasing Electro in the mid-nineties.
He has succeeded though and everything he is loved and respected for is here,
plus some advanced structures and elements - Bass Junkie evolved - a true Sub
Sonic Survivor. The harder edge is here in tracks such as "Blast Them to
Infinity!" and the insanely hard kick of "Star Destroyer". His
funkier side shines through too, in tracks like the shimmering space funk of

Circle returns to his Destroy To Rebuild imprint this March with two fierce
techno tracks alongside Mickey Nox and Fractions remixes. Following 2020's
"Fearless EP", which sold out in the space of a week, VII Circle
returns to his own Destroy To Rebuild imprint with two blistering originals
and a pair of remixes from Green Fetish's Mickey Nox and Russian duo
Fractions. Title track "Warriors" gets straight to the point with a
heavy-duty synth snaking its way through the track, as a series of relentless
drums and sharp production combine to form a pure sonic assault.
"Mayhem" takes a darker turn, conjuring images of dark,
sweat-filled rooms, taking influences from intense club experiences. For
Mickey Nox's take on "Warriors", the Melbourne based producer
strips the track to the bone, turning his focus to bone-crushing drum
shaping, reducing the lead synth of the original to a sparsely used element,

For
Txarly Brown and his henchmen, the Covid year is yet another one. They do not
act live and they compose online, so you can confine them for their whole
lives that they will never give up. The sixth work after "Robot
Calo" (Achilifunk-PPF, 2015), "Disco Jondo" (Achilifunk-PPF,
2016), "xPeteneras" (Achilifunk-PPF, 2017), "Casiopony"
(Achilifunk-PPF, 2018) and "Instru Mental" (Buenritmo, 2019) is
titled "Romandiñarme Camelo". We already know that since February
the world has changed. Achilifunk Sound System has got rid of El Gordo del
Puru. This time the album intended to have only women in charge: Haruka
Akamatsu, Dry Martina, Mati Pando (from Tilde), Alicia Maluquer (from Cola
Jet Set), Poochyeeh (from Sweet Barrio), and Isabel Vinardell (from Las
Isabeles), but in the end the last two declined. Hence, the album includes
two covers in the key of northern gipsy soul and electro-Jamaican rumba by
Los Retrovisores and Mr. Freak Ska respectively. The rest of the album
navigates more through electronics than rumba scenarios, maintaining the
gypsy essence of the combo with Jack Tarradellas and Sam Mosketón, while Lalo
López (La Fundación Tony Manero) has spiced it with his soulish guitars. Renowned
turntablists from the international scene have also collaborated on the
album: Fonki Cheff and Rosvil. Fermín Minguez has written a couple of songs
and DJ Makala has adorned some song, as usual |

Recorded
in Seattle in 1999, this Monster record is now being reisused on vinyl
remastered by Jack Endino. Check this band. Mark Arm (Mudhoney, Bloodloss)
Steve Turner (Mudhoney) Tim Kerr (Big Boys) Tom Price (Gas Huffer, U-Men)
Martin Bland (Bloodloss, Lubricated Goat). As soon as the opening track of
Electric Children begins you realize that the Monkeywrench have gotten much
tighter in this their second álbum, since their debut eight years before. The
production also seems more raw, possibly due to the fact that the band has
moved from Conrad Uno to veteran Seattle producer Jack Endino, who also
engineered the first releases from bassist Steve Turner and vocalist Mark
Arm's other band, Mudhoney. Also contributing to the rawness of the record is
the absence of Arm-s trademark piano and organ. This enhances the energy,
causing you to notice a more frantic, electrified side of the band. As on the
debut album, Clean as a Broke-Dick Dog, several genres of music are given
equal time, including the country of 'Thirteen Nights' and 'The Empty Place',
the rockabilly of 'The Weasel's in the Barn', the Eastern modal quality of
'Around Again', and the noise rock of the closing number, 'In the Days of the
Five'. The Monkeywrench have grown in their ability to craft a song, and the
result is a masterpiece |

The
strange and majestic musical beast that is Africadelic was Dibango's
follow-up to Soul Makossa, but it was initially released on Louis Delacour's
library music label, Mondiaphone, before "Soul Makossa" became an
international phenomenon. As a Mondiaphone release, it was aimed at
television and film producers seeking atmospheric background music, so the
original titles are simply "Theme No 1," "Theme No 2,"
etc, with corresponding rhythmic notations such as "3&4
Africain," "Afro Beat 12&8" and "Medium Soul
Beat," though once "Soul Makossa" hit the stratosphere,
subsequent reissues bore actual song titles. In any case, the album is simply
wonderful, a driving mix of Afro soul, funk and jazz, with an undercurrent of
Latin percussion throughout, given further shades by rock guitar and soul
organ, as heard on "African Battle" and the title track< opener
"Soul Fiesta" builds dramatic percussive tension before Dibango
drops a killer vibraphone riff, while "African Carnival" makes the
most of the full horn section, Dibango's sax soloing giving room for complex
polyrhythmic percussion breaks. "Oriental Sunset" has beautiful
vibraphone from Dibango too, as well as a thrilling flute melody,
"Monkey Beat" and "Wa Wa" are funky soul struts and
"Percussion Storm" has the band marching off into the African
sunset as Dibango unleashes another killer vibraphone melody |

aka Citizen Maze, returns to Analogue Attic after his widely acclaimed
'Serenity in the Woods' from 2018. The signature depth and versatility of
McCoy's productions is again at the forefront in 'Northern Angelique', with 5
musically rich compositions that lend themselves to a broad range of
listening occasions. The first 3 tracks are contemplative and psychedelic,
before the record takes on a deeper and darker tone for the remaining 2. Each
track feels connected through a sense of simultaneous intensity and
gentleness. McCoy says it was the angelic nature of a vox synth, reflections
from long beach walks in solitude and the thought of a flight to central

Peletronic is featured on this record and he shows again his love for detail.
‚About The Void‘ is a composition with an arc of suspense. The eerie pads and
strings are in control by an imposing hypnotic groove that will guide the
listener to the dancefloor. As a guest remixer they hired none other than
Stuttgart’s deep house expert Soulphiction. His take on the title track is
placed on A2 and uses the elements of the original in a clever way. The
groove is even more thrilling. And a female vocalist gives the track a femme
fatale like character. Peletronic delivers us his lo-fi house ‚Experience‘ on
the B-side. Of course with a typical 909 kick drum, shuffled hihats and a purposely
raw filtered jazz sample in loop. Intringuingly and playful likewise. At last
the record ends with the track ‚Paixão‘, which means „passion“ in portuquese.
And you can clearly hear his passion for experimental latin influenced dub
house in here. The record is limited to 300 copies. There will be no repress!

2021
is a milestone year for Jimpster and the label he founded with Tom Roberts
back in 1996. It was never going to be plain sailing all the way but their
passion for discovering, making and releasing the music they love has seen
them pushing into their 25th year with more enthusiasm and determination than
ever before. Ahead of the release of his fifth LP, a four vinyl Jimpster
Anthology and Remix EP we dive head first into the deepness of his Soul
Spectral EP. The title track is widescreen, late-night house music at it’s
most evocative. Crackling Rhodes chords hang suspended in the air like
morning mist on Hackney Marshes while Greg Paulus’ lilting trumpet spins us
out into the stratosphere. Live percussion courtesy of Laroye adds an organic
depth to the track, creating just the kind of loose, enveloping groove that
Jimpster loves to draw us into. Sanguine continues the theme of sublime,
heartfelt music for the body and soul, bringing together glacial synths,
chopped piano samples with a simple, driving house groove which you will be
more than happy to get lost in |

Ricardo Villalobos returns on
Raum Musik with his second solo single for our label. This time time both
sides are featuring other artists though. The A Side is based on a sample,
taken from the track called "Buffalo Demon' which is from the album - Miniatures'
by the duo Alog, that was originally released on Rune Grammofon in 2005. On
the B side Ricardo is featuring his friend Jorge Gonzalez, the former lead
singer, main songwriter and sole composer of the Chilean band Los Prisioneros
that is currently the frontman of Los Updates. The result is a very nice EP
and we are quite happy with this release |

By
now, Roman Flügel needs no introduction. Neither the man, nor the music. We
will try to describe the latter anyway. Precursory to his new LP Eating
Darkness, Anima emblazes the manifoldness and elegancy of his sound. Starting
off with D.I.S.C.O., Flügel links the unredeemed promise and euphoria of last
year’s Garden Party to the present (including a dub version for the right
balance of happiness. As the man himself so eloquently put it: „I’ve tried to
create a track that reflects the past from a slightly melancholic but still
enthusiastic state of mind. The past 30 years of my life have been highly
influenced by DJing, traveling and producing club music of many sorts. That
life is at least temporarily on hold and it might not be the same after the pandemic.
The music is also trying to reflect the colourfulness, happiness, beauty and
drama that is part of nightlife. The track uses tiny bits and riffs from an
endless pool of Disco tracks. The production sounds rather clean and
synthetic, as if a Robot is the one who remembers everything that was. “
Consequently, working as an epilogue as well as the prologue to the
aforementioned album, are Anima and Eating Darkness |

Spirit
Of House’ is a jackin' 90’s Chicago inspired groove. It’s an uplifting, dance
floor ready track from two of House music's finest. Those unmissable vocals
from the legendary Gene Farris add a stamp of old authenticity – he’s a
bonafide Chicago legend, who’s contributions to the House music scene are
undebatable. He’s been pushing musical boundaries for close to three decades,
working with world-leading labels and artists such as Relief, Dirtybird, ViVa
Music and Defected. ATFC is a longstanding label favourite and household name
in the scene. He has 3 UK top 40 hits under his belt and has remixed tracks
for the likes of P Diddy, Missy Elliot, Simply Red, Faithless and Dido. He’s
entered Pete Tong’s Essential Mix hall of fame - and the BBC Radio 1
tastemaker himself described ATFC’s productions as ‘verging on genius’. This
collaboration is a match made in heaven. ‘Spirit Of House’ is a deeply
playable, feel-good House record from two of the most established producers
in the scene. ‘R U’ features a catchy piano hook, tough drums and that deep,
powerful vocal from Gene Farris himself. It’s a stripped back, gritty house

Almost a year on from their debut
joint single ‘Jesse James’ on WotNot Records, South London producer Dampé and
Bristolian MC Mushkilla once again join forces, this time taking to XVI
Records for their driving new single ‘Ghost Mode’. With Mushkilla working
closely with rising dubplate label EC2A, and Dampé putting out a series of
heralded 12”s on Capitol K’s Faith And Industry Records and Singapore-based
imprint Darker Than Wax, both artists have been riding busy schedules since
their first release. With praises coming from Tom Ravenscroft, Mixmag, Dummy,
DJ Mag, Jamz Supernova & more, they have both cemented themselves as
artists to keep a keen eye on in the UK’s bass music communities. ‘Ghost

Berlin
Calling is undoubtedly part of the film highlights of 2009. Hannes Stöhr's
fictitious drama based around the up-and-coming Berlin musician and
Toxicomaniac Ickarus skillfully distances itself from 'hip' biopics and
instead offers one hundred percent of authenticity and classic storytelling.
What is surprising is the ease and the speed with which the dramatic - and
even in parts tragic - story is presented. This balance act succeeds not only
with images, but also with Paul Kalkbrenner's congenial soundtrack
accomplishes that feat effortlessly. Finally, after the 'hymn' Sky and Sand,
comes the second release as a 12” EP. Thematically, the title song is closely
related to Sky and Sand, and the three tracks form an absolutely harmonious
trilogy, not only perfectly transporting the film's atmosphere, but actually
generating it on their own. Even if you don't know the images, you will soon
get the impression of a subliminal, compulsively seething energy - and at the
same time that of devouring emptiness, cycling faster and faster around
aimlessness |

Miles Sagnia has a deep-rooted

of hallucinatory vignettes for Milan´s Haunter Records on "Jemi"
and the dissection of the possible tearjerking sensibilities of self-help
twitter bots on 'You'll Always Stay Beautiful' for Bristol´s NoCorner, Broshuda
glides on to casually deliver this glistening and equally heartfelt 7 Inch
for Cologne based Imprint RDK Island. On the A side, a reflection in the half
light resonance of evening/dawn envelops the fractal heavily melodic core of
'Face2'. Floating in some ebulliently chilled out existence not that far, but
still quite on its own trajectory, from some of Mouse On Mars most absorbing
moments. An hypnagogic cityscape, brimming with lives, real and imagined. On
the flipside 'Voices' hypnotic melody-as-dream gives way to a smoldering
state of aural unease, borderline anxiety creeping in, an
"orchestra" of filtered, fading voices & realities. Gliding as
