The title track "Ghost In
The Shell" has a light and a dark side that fight with each other
somewhere in 2077, and it's up to you to decide which one wins. “Ramayana” is
an interpretation of the ancient Indian epic in the form of a meditative dub-techno-trance.
"Wow!" dedication that occurred on August 15, 1977. A strong
narrowband radio signal was detected by Dr. Jerry Eiman while working on the
Big Ear radio telescope at Ohio State University. "Wow!" was the
only signal in the history of mankind intercepted from the depths of space,
which could not be deciphered, but the musicians tried. The EP closes with a
slow track with an unearthly atmosphere, shimmering with contrasting
electronic sound. "After Glow" - a neutrino of a thermonuclear sun,
making its way through thunderclouds and bringing hope to the bright future
of the present time. So Komponente & Kurilo made mystical EP with an
unpredictable plot, which is a symbiosis of dub-techno and trance melodies |

day that I met u.r.trax she was doing the artist care for POSSESSION Paris
the funny fact was that she still didn't have the age to work at party. I
believe we met after every Possession party I played after that one and I
definitely noticed something sparkling. Her young age, her arty vision, her
continuously growing DJ and production skills, Folge Mir and her passion for
the music were key facts to be the first player getting a KAOS sublabel under
her name. She is also preparing some upcoming unique projects which makes her
one to watch in the upcoming years. As a kid of the Parisian raves, MORAL
KRISIS would be her stamp. This songs are oscillating between the finest
trance and the rawest club techno, (which I call techno-trance) the use of
her own vocals in many different ways give quite a signature to her sound.

With their full length debut
"Gothenburg Rifle Association", the five gentlemen in The Carnation
show beyond any doubt that they are capable of writing classy pop tunes that
will stand the test of time. Of course, one tends to find loads of references
popping up while enjoying the album's twelve tracks, but the final result is
totally The Carnation's own. The Swedes seems to master many different
musical genres, from haunting rock paranoia in the opening track to the
straightfoward pop of the single "New sensation", right down to the
mellow nostalgia of dreamy ballad "No other way". This pared with
the fact that the band has three talented vocalists will prevent the listener
from ever losing interest. Holding this diverse piece together is strength of
the melodies and a very British feel, making the punkier numbers sound more
like The Libertines than The Strokes. Which is a good thing |

Detroit bred / LA based producer Kenny Larkin has long been a force to be
reckoned with, both in the studio and in the DJ booth. His 'Vanguard EP' from
1992 was released under the name POD, another of his aliases used for the
deep sonic exploration of Techno that he undertook, thus changing the face of
modern electronic music right up to this day. Featured here is the full '92
EP with the addition of another POD rarity entitled 'Chinese Checkers',
lifted from a compilation a number of years later. The music contained within
this 2 x 12" reissue should not be understated, this is pure,
unadulterated Detroit Techno sounds of the highest order. A truly staggering
collection of music that somehow transcends the decades since it's release
20+ years ago and still sounds forward thinking today. Like the majority of
Larkin's music, this deserves the highest possible spot on your record shelf,

Originally appearing on Rekids
subsidiary REK’D as a limited release a decade ago, Rekids rereleases Dustin
Zahn ‘Stranger (To Stability)’ on Special Projects with two outstanding mixes
by Len Faki. A massive techno record, ‘Stranger (To Stability)’ has stood the
test of time since its release in 2009. Featuring two remixes by Len Faki,
the record was a limited release on wax and has since become sought after by
vinyl buyers. With its saw-like synths and ominous atmospherics, the original
by Enemy Records boss Dustin Zahn is menacing and comes complete with a
compelling groove and dubby stabs - the result is mesmerizing. Len Faki’s
Podium Mix follows a similar aesthetic with its reverbed kicks and metallic
effects whilst distorted vocal samples and twisted melodies up the energy
forming a colossal anthem. Built on syncopated percussion, the Figure
founder’s X-Break Mix meanders forward with an infectious rhythm before a
tremendous build up rises and rises, only to diminish to embers before doing

Extrawelt
are back with a raw unpolished techno jewel called "Heracid". A
track that slowly drills deep into your techno soul. Be sure this track will
not let you down. It has that unique Extrawelt quality of being friends with
you before it even gains traction. Maybe it is the trust you put in Extrawelt
after having released so many great tracks that you feel in good hands and in
good company with this new Extrawelt track! "Heracid" is no classic
acid track though it throws in a reference to the acid days. But overall it
carries more of an undercurrent urgency and simmering that builds the tension
of the track. This may as well put it next to the excellent techno tracks you
have heard recently. It is a powerful and muscular track to sink into and
enjoy. "Madjafala" has a different logic than the a-side track
"Heracid" it gives only vague „answers“ to the arising expectations
when listening to the track. It could be called a track perfectly in tune
with our unstable times. There is certainly a lot of neurotic energy and
tricky twists in directions you would not have expected. There is enough
tension for a whole year in this unusual track |

Sumner returns with a new Function record, entitled Awakening From The
Illusory Self. Released as a 12" EP on Tresor Records, it follows on
from Existenz, his last full-length album released in November 2019. Packed
in a beautiful sleeve printed with 3 x special Neon colors, Tresor.320 kicks
off with the fast techno of Misinterpretations Of Reality', it features a
minimal acid-infected crescendo and throbbing pulse. As ever with Function,
this idiosyncratic rhythmic work finds a place out on a limb from
contemporaries, shapeshifting impulses that infer and guide this raw drum
sound. The second track 'An Optical Illusion Of Consciousness', Function
moves towards a different direction, bringing more elements to the mix. It
recalls the Dutch 90s techno sound with its melodic blurred synth leanings
stretching and morphing across saturated, playful drums and hefty low-end
movement. Its bind is perfectly weighted, a phenomenal track that nurtures
its inner dancefloor soul as melodies fade away and tighter patterns take

sophisticated electric jazzy track that symbolizes the label. The debut work
"Wait" from [DISTANT HAWAII] is a cult hit, and also from [RHYTHM
SECTION INTERNATIONAL] and [MOODS & GROOVES]. A-2 by HIDDEN SPHERES from
Manchester, who has release experience and has an impressive unique rhythm
composition and airy synth usage. The Japanese twin duo SATOSHI & MAKOTO,
whose two albums released from YOUNG MARCO's label attracted a lot of
attention. Sapporo's KUNIYUKI participated in the music of his brother
SATOSHI as percussion, a 90's synth riff reminiscent of the dawn of Detroit
techno. KUNIYUKI from Sapporo, who has live experience on the world stage,
participated in the percussion with an ambient feeling that delicate keyboard
work is folded in multiple layer |

these trying times, where intimacy and closeness are fraught with danger,
Dans Dans (Dance Dance) brings you the sound of connection, communication,
passion and togetherness. Dans Dans unites the talents of three of Belgium's
most prolific music makers in Bert Dockx (Flying Horseman), Fred 'Lyenn'
Jacques (Lyenn, Lanegan band) and Steven Cassiers (Dez Mona, DAAU). An
utterly unique musical collective, the trio are set to release new album
'Zink' on the 23rd April via Ghent based independent, Unday Records. From
jazz, psychedelic blues and ecstatic noir soundtracks to spacey rock 'n'
roll, Dans Dans cut their teeth on the cool jazz cafe scene in Flanders,
Brussels with their sensational live performances and have since gone on to
become a mainstay on the flourishing Belgian musical landscape. Releasing
their self-produced, eponymous debut album back in 2012, their highly
distinctive, intuitive mix of musical styles and their ever-imaginative live
shows caught the attention of discerning music lovers, journalists and
promoters. A relatively unknown tour de force outside the Benelux region,
Dans Dans have built a solid fan base since their inception with limited
edition runs of early releases becoming collector's items among vinyl

There's
a case to be made that Dans Dans even played a key role in breaking down the
wall between the Belgian jazz scene and the pop/rock circuit (years before
pop journalists began referring to a New Wave of Belgian Jazz). Opening with
the moody noir rhythms of 'Cinder Bay', Dans Dans look to construct their own
musical universe across 'Zink'. 'Naiad' unfolds into a devastating explosion
of heavy feedback and wild, crashing drums before subtle electronica and
baroque art-rock collide on 'Anemone' giving a good indication of Dans Dans'
eclecticism. There's unquestionably a deep, underlying filmic beauty to the
music, an evolving darkness and a perpetual sense of dread and paranoia.
Elsewhere, 'Ravine' is intoxicating, provocative and uncompromising while the
beatific 'Shell Star' is an infectious exploration of hypnotic grooves,
atmospheric sounds and mind-bending melodies. Producer Christine Verschorren
(Philippe Catherine, Ivan Paduart) accentuates the music's wondrous fluidity
throughout 'Zink'; the intriguing interplay; the subtle ties; the deep
layering. Musical styles and influences are being blended organically and

& The is an Australian producer based in Berlin, where he's been putting
out consistently cool and sleek dusty house on the likes of Toy Tonics and
Banoffee Pies. Jad is now joining Shall Not Fade for his debut on their
Seasons Series imprint, showcasing a selection of tracks that ooze space age
sounds and cybernostalgia. Space Swingerz EP feels like the soundtrack to a
classic science fiction film; opening with "Dance (Can't Dance
Mix)", the most house-oriented track on the record, a grooving and
smooth party piece that has just a hint of the electro inflections to come.
The title track itself is a swirling electro track filled with popping
futuristic synths and spaced out pads, leading into "Industrial
I-Beam" that swaps out the ambience for a deep funky bassline - headsy
and ready for a darkened Berlin club. "Circum Navigator" is a
clean-cut but hypnotic piece of nineties revival, while "OK,
Computer" taps into the sci-fi edge of the EP, the sounds of early
internet imaginations of the future. The digital bonus track, "Computer
Teens, Acid Dreams" is well-described by its name - it's a sweeping,
acidic roller straight out of hyperspace |

and audioMER are honoured to announce the release of a new LP; Seemingly
Still with music by Laszlo Umbreit, Sirah Foighel Brutmann & Eitan Efrat
featuring the Ramirez Brothers. The cover artwork contains details of Miroir
Seb Fragile!, a 16mm film by Sirah Foighel Brutmann and Eitan Efrat, made in
memory of cinematographer Sébastien Koeppel (1971–2013). The track Miroir Séb
Fragile! is played live by the Tel-Aviv based group The Ramirez Brothers.
Uzi, Sefi and KitKit Rarmirez who have developed a cult following in the Tel
Aviv music scene, are recorded here in an improvised two-day recording
session in Beursschouwburg, Brussels. Starting from a stereo recording of a
16mm film projector showing the film Miroir Seb Fragile! Laszlo Umbreit created
the track Seemingly Still, at times sounding like a shamanistic ritual. Sirah
Foighel Brutmann and Eitan Efrat (both °1983 in Tel Aviv) have been working
in collaboration for several years and are creating works in the audiovisual
field. Sirah and Eitan’s practice focuses on the performative aspects of the
moving image. In their work they aim to mark the spatial and durational
potentialities of reading of images |

Letyago hits the ground running with the ambient-infused, chest beating
rhythm - 'Nisida'. Shackling percussion communicates fluently with rattling
hi-hat patterns to create decadent layers of techno elegance. A carefully
modulated synthesiser melody appears to chase the drum sequence throughout
the arrangement's main body, circling gleefully around the stereo field like
a shamanic ritual. Anfisa's own ethereal vocal shots glide through the mix to
establish key moments of anticipation. 'Insidia' sensually evolves into a
dazzling menagerie of rising pads and fizzing synth-lines. A rounded
four-to-the-floor kick drum drives the track with subtle yet consistent
affirmation, the minimalistic approach to the groove's main elements only
serves to bolster the arrangement as one can truly appreciate every layer.
Anfisa boldly follows with 'Not There', a significantly gritty low-end
carries a glimmering arpeggiator ensemble through the entirety of the EP's
closing moments. The undeniable glow of the composition's melodic elements
pairs perfectly with the staggering undertow of kicks and low-slung toms |

Often
the best music gets made when people get out of their comfort zone and
venture into new territory. That is what I felt listening to these tracks
from Ukrainian veteran Alexander Pavlenko. He has a long history in drum 'n
bass as Sunchase, and as Na Nich, you might have heard him on Rhythm Buro or
Semantica, but this release reveals another side of him that we haven't heard
before. The Karpati EP kicks off with "Manipulation". A rolling sub
and punchy drums propel the track's momentum forward and make it
dancefloor-ready. The sounds on top take inspiration from multiple genres for
a track that finds a perfect balance between the deeper sides of both house
and techno. Next up is "Still There", a stripped deep house tune
where filtered percussion, pads and vocals alternate each other, flowing in
and out of focus. Title track "Karpati", a hypnotic techno track,
takes inspiration from the mountain region in western Ukraine, the melody
reflecting a similar beauty as the Carpathian nature. Add Na Nich's expert
sound design on top, and the result is a deep and captivating trip |

"Take The Step" kicks in first by delivering filthy hat shuffles on
even nastier drums and a growing arpeggiator line. With small, yet effective
vocal pieces emerging over the place, mysterious pad shapes build a
tremendous climax ready to roll further into the future on this one. It's a
Voxnox Fam thing with this perfect introduction! With "Not The
Same" stepping up next, Huismann showcases an ever-evolving percussion
line on top of some tasty claps and flowing synthesizer plugs. Small voice
parts enter the situation too as we get into deeper, atmospheric vibes
bringing us a never stopping joy. And so it's said that the B-sided
"Bulletproof" takes nothing less but marching drum patterns and
melody glitches coming out of nowhere to prove a forward-directed vibe
afterwards. Eventually taking us back to the good old raving area, where
eclectic synth lines were the regular state, followed by clever arrangement

Chris Tooker, the first decade of his artistic journey was immersed in bands
while the second was engaged in wandering the realms of electronica in the
form of creator, composer and engineer for DJ duo KMLN. Today, after many
incarnations, Tooker returns to the source of himself while carrying both the
treasures of his past and a vision for the future. Tooker has long been
called to pursuing obsessive trails through the greater cosmos. On these
journeys, he seeks particles with a hypnotic essence. Once found, he
interprets this magic in his own special way, through the most universal
language - music. His music tells stories of fascinating adventures through
the dust, the palms, and the gritty streets of yonder. It is colorful, deep,
and disco laced. It flaunts rare collected percussion (delivered live in his
sets), various instruments and sometimes whispers a touch of voice. Now his
solo-debut EP Nang’o drops on Acid Pauli and Nico Stojan’s label Ouie. For

Kevorkian is a name that should need no introduction. With over 40 years in
the game FK has occupied numerous roles in his long and storied career -
drummer, DJ, A&R man, remixer and producer - his skills know no
boundaries. Having DJ-ed during the nascent days of club culture in NYC
alongside Walter Gibbons, Larry Levan and more, Kevorkian has been there from
day one. Years spent in the seminal clubs of the day sharpened his ears and
his prowess behind the mixing desk saw him become the A&R man at the
legendary Prelude records in the early 80's, this in turn led to him working
with everyone from The Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, Erasure, D-Train, Yazoo, The
Smiths, Kraftwerk and many many more. A true NYC original and legend,
Kevorkian is still active today and the respect he commands amongst his peers
has never waned, his adventurous extended DJ sets, seminal mixes and remixes
and his open ears and open mind have ensured that he will go down in history

Django
Django is the latest band invited to curate a prestigious Late Night Tales
collection, Like many of the best British groups, the Djangos met at art
school, specifically Edinburgh College Of Art, before reconnecting in London.
Django Django released their self-titled debut album on quirky French indie
Because in early 2012 to some acclaim, winding up in many critics’ end of
year lists (Top Ten in the NME and Top 30 in Rolling Stone, among them).
Their oddball approach to music, which sounds like the rich harmonies of the
Mamas & Papas beamed through a refracting prism pointing towards Bo
Diddley, Chicago house and outer-space (it’s no surprise to learn that Django
producer/drummer Dave Maclean’s brother John was in the Beta Band, who also
shared the same cinemascopic view of the pop landscape). “Rollicking
sing-alongs, galloping into disco sunsets like whisky-addled and
leather-saddled bandits on the stolen backs of prairie wild mustangs,” is how
Django Django describe themselves. Which is another way of saying they’re pop
adventurists, as at home with Mad Mike’s Underground Resistance as they are
the blues rumble of Canned Heat. A bit like this delightful mix, then, which
darts about like a gurgle of guppies after two too many espressos. Check out
mixes that rock between two-step delights like Roy Davis Jr’s ‘Gabrielle’ to
Nilsson’s lyrically winsome ‘Coconut’. At one end of the Django spectrum
there’s James Last, the terminally unhip Teuton, whose ‘Inner City Blues’
shows you can never underestimate the Germans, while at the far reaches of
the mix, they manage to sneak in Ramadanman (‘Bass Drums’) and Hudson Mohawke
and Lunice collaboration TNGHT’s ‘Bugg’n’. You can hear the echoes of
influences in some of the selections, like The Beach Boys whose peerless
‘Surf’s Up’ makes a welcome appearance halfway through, while Seals &
Crofts’ “Sweet Green Fields” show what sun-drenched pop can sound like when
it’s done well. And because it’s Late Night Tales there’s a sparkling cover
version of ‘Porpoise Song’, the theme from The Monkees daffily brilliant
‘Head’, an admirably lysergic termination to this waltz through pop’s nooks
and cranberries. “You should never be afraid to make a fool of yourself for
art,” Dave Maclean once said. Let’s raise a dram to Scotland’s favourite
fools on the hill. “We wanted to produce a mix that represented the band.
It’s what we’re all into, so everyone put forward suggestions. It’s what we
are as a band; and we’re kids that have grown up with an obsession about our
mum and dad’s record collections, like ‘50s and 60s stuff and then got into
hip hop and dance music as we grew up. At the heart of it all is our parents’
collections, with our tastes mixed in. Our Late Night Tales pays homage to

Presenting
a fully legit, remastered and repackaged reissue of this legendary afro-house
classic for 2018. London's Warriors Dance label was a unique operation and a
pioneering London label during the late 80's acid house phenomena. Home to an
assortment of DJs, MCs and soundmen, they went on to make their own original
and indelible mark on the rave scene from the infamous 'Addis Ababa' studio
on Harrow Road on the North-West side of the city. A former reggae and soul
studio that was instrumental to the output of influential artists like Soul
II Soul and more, a steady diet of reggae, bass, hip-hop, house and techno
kept their edgy, and diehard UK sound and style right at the cutting edge of
the dance music underground across the globe with the top DJs and producers
of the day celebrating the label. The studio, helmed by label owner Tony
'Addis', acted as an incubator for artists whose names would go down in the
history books. Tony's own No Smoke, a project with associate Fred McPablo,
was one such name, and their 1989 uber classic 'Koro Koro' is a record that
should need no introduction |

Holo
is a Melbourne-based producer of smooth and groove-driven deep house, an
up-and-comer who caught the eye of Shall Not Fade. His debut EP lands soon on
the Lost Palms sub-label bringing us the sun-soaked warmth of his home city.
Atlas EP is all about a laid back summer sound palette; the title track draws
you in with its subtlety. A crawling bassline grooves underneath seascape
samples and strings, making for a gorgeously produced track that evokes beach
trips and waves glittering in the sun. "In My Dreams" is piano
driven upbeat house for the day party, with an added dash of 303 bass that
gives it bite. On the B-side "Shimmer" gives you seductive soul
vocals to echo around your head to the pulse of the blissed out tune, while "Circles"
feels like the climax of the record, glimmering arps that give way to a
breakbeat crescendo sure to get hands in the air. Holo's debut closes with
"If": the chunkiest beat on the record, an electronica groover that
ebbs and flows between deep house relaxation and a techy dance track |

Heavy Psych Sounds Records is reissuing first three albums of the Swedish
legendary band Dozer, In The Tail Of A Comet (2000, Man's Ruin Records),
Madre De Dios (2001) and Call It Conspiracy (2003, both out via Molten
Universe). Three masterpieces of the European stoner scene. These three
records elevated the scene to a higher level and gave Dozer the scepter of
the Scandinavian stoner movement. In the post-Kyuss era, Dozer, along with
bands like Los Natas and Acid King, brought a flurry of pure, desert-style
monolithic riffs and tons of fuzz guitars. The songwriting on all these three
albums was what really distinguished Dozer from the other bands of the early
2000-s. The band had a very big influence on the European stoner bands and we
can definitely say Dozer are one of the European stoner godfathers. Dozer's
last album was Beyond Colossal in 2008, we don/t know if they will ever
return back with a new release but in the meantime we can enjoy this special
