First track On side A produced by Portuguese trio - Pandilla LTD. This
project comprised of three individuals, heavily characterised by their deep
and minimalistic approach to music. "Corazon" is hypnotic, full of
love and hope with the vocals of musician's friend - Anand Kaur. The second
one "Fetre" keeps you on your toes from start to finish. Pretty
deep, meditative, minimalistic and trippy by Berlin based Italian producer
& founder of labels: Sleep is Commercial, Atoll, Proboscide - Andrea
Ferlin. Side B starts with brokenbeat composition "And then, I dreamt
about you" by misterious musician from Japan - Kai Kan. With mixture of stripped
down and twisted beats and SE, Noises, voice samples layered over the beats
on the top. And the final track by German trio - Wareika. Rumble in the
organic Jungle. With "Heartbeat" Wareika shows its unique quality
to combine a journey from break beats, organic pad spheres, drone

Flatlife release is the 1st episode of a special "flatcore" vinyl
series named: "That's What I Call Flatcore". Flatcore = Hardcore
Acid Oldschool 90's Feel Trance Core. On this 1st episode, Jack Wax created a
track for the A-side called "Mindcore". A woman voice is in there
(that takes you back in time; like Phantasia did back in the 90's). This
track is loud and has screaming acids created with the "Beast -
RE303" and it also has that trancy touch. On the flip of the vinyl:
Fabien Pzylo from AcidCirkus will take you back to old raves with an
excellent acid hard-core track splitted in 2 parts (Part 1 & 2) - it has

Hanagasumi
- hazy curtain of flowers, cherry blossoms appearing from afar like a white
mist - this phenomenon can be seen during the sakura blossom in Japan. The
third release on the label from the musician Shine Grooves. This vinyl is a
mini LP of five tracks with different moods. The release is opening with a
melodic track with exciting keyboard chords, performed in the best traditions
of electro rhythm. On the second track, the mood changes towards a glitch
house with a 4x4 beat and a naive melody that penetrates deeply into the
mind. The first side of the vinyl is closing with a techno track - a loop
recorded on a Roland TR-606 drum machine with an atmospheric melody that
flutters in the air throughout the entire composition. The second side of the
vinyl starts with a 10-minute ambient ode, with cosmic synthesizer sequences
and fragments of phrases from telephone conversations - a slow entrance to
another reality. The last track on the record has an experimental IDM flavor
with melodic guitar tones. This LP is made on 12" vinyl, hand stamped,

This, one of the greatest radio
shows ever made onto a record as it combines a Radio interview with Roky
Erickson in full gloom while he is presenting the demos of tracks that may
ended up on the great great The Evil One LP Earlier versions of mine mine mind,
two headed dog, and click your fingers applauding the play previously
released on vinyl by France's Sponge Records in 1976.. The bonuses
(interviews, demos, rarities) are dandy, but the album is treasure enough.
Its retro-metal chops have more kaboom than the irony-diluted pap of current
poseurs, and its bent lyrics mop the floor with wannabe-kooks like Jad Fair.
Some savvy touches- such as Roky's progressive pre-PC designation that the
swamp monsters are 'alligator-persons'- hint that Roky was more lucid than he
let on |

Pirañas’ Greatest Hits, with an added brass section, in a disused kerosene
tank, what else! The Colombian trio return with an echo blast after their
last delivery Historian Natural (2019, Glitterbeat) to make their own way
through the psychedelic tunnel visions of cumbia, champeta, psych surf rock
and everything else in between. Made up of Bogota natives, Eblis Alvarez
(Meridian Brothers, Chupame El Dedo), Pedro Ojeda (Romperayo, Chupame El
Dedo) and Mario Galeano (Frente Cumbiero, Ondatropica), the trio have been
playing their own brand of tropical music together for over two decades now.
‘Infame Golpazo en Keroxen’ reunites the trio’s subversive way of making
music as they re-configure and re-record their sound live in a disused
gasoline tank situated in the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands.
As that wasn’t enough they meet with local brass players Pablo Arocha on
Trumpet, Pablo González on Trombone and Eduardo Martín on Tuba to mash up the
already mucho tropical humid vibe into a unique gasoline implosion of
tropical fervour. After three unique albums showcasing their trajectory as a
trio through the South American music ethos the Colombian powerhouse return
to the scene of the crime with a solid set of high energy reversions of their

TRIGAIDA is the latest musical
phenomena to have come out of the small but colorful contemporary electronic
scene of Eastern Europe's Bulgaria. The folktronica trio is formed by
multi-instrumentalist Georgi Marinov (Horhe), folklore singer Asya Pincheva,
and multifaceted electronic producer Ivan Shopov. ELATE is the debut
full-length offering of the project and is a unique blend of traditional

producer and one to watch, Fidde, joins Shall Not Fade for his debut Real
Love EP. The up-and-comer has gained attention with infectious self-released
singles, blending house rhythms with more complex, natural instrumentation to
great effect on this vinyl only release. Subtle echoes of birdsong swirl
around a glittering house beat in "Real Love", emotive sax and keys
giving a jubilant feel to the record opener that captures the feeling of the
early days of romance perfectly. "Limmie" uses hand drums and
dreamy guitar loops to evoke hot summer holidays; the echoes of vocals and
tinges of electro intonations bring the club energy. A jazzy edge to the EP
builds from "Cry", where gentle piano is drawn into focus before
the pulse of the dance hits, and melting across to the B-side with
"Funky Mr. Cameron" - one long groovy, explorative jazz riff with
playful guitar snippets. Dynamic percussion undulates throughout "Me
Without You"; a soulful, hazey song full of romance and complete with
sax solo - one for star-crossed lovers on the dancefloor.
"Reminisce" serves up high energy to close out the EP, building
from the swirling melody into chopped up vocals that become an unstoppable

Is Now White Label series; Daffy has built a name for himself on the local
scene putting out forward-thinking garage on labels to watch like Dim Sum
Records and Equal People. This will be his first full vinyl EP and it's not
one to miss. Run Around EP builds up the tension throughout; starting off
with "Put Your Feet Up", a ghostly atmospheric piece with a sparse
beat, sprinkling of ear candy and crescendo of headsy melodies. The title
track oozes a growling bassline beneath staccato vocal snatches - it's a
deconstructed style of garage that maintains tension while adding a dreamlike
quality. More tension encompasses "Nerves" alongside teases of low
end wobbles and harsh breaks that coalesce into a punishing jungle track.
"Lost Again" brings in the B-side with this same energy, an
explosion of rolling breaks forming the backbone of this rouch and ready
Metalheadz style crowd pleaser, calling out to the rave. "Mishap"
serves up ragga vocals, impenetrable sub bass and pouncing two-step ripe for

in the cavernous labs of Indianapolis, the XK3 EP by producer D.Strange,
dives into the metallic underworld of alienated shadows to create brutal, icy
electro. The submerged acid-tinged opener, "Sonic Recoil" ascends
with a snarling pathos of trap hats that pierce through the looming fog of
the club. "Negative Center" haunts in cunning dexterity and grooves
with a jacking pace of brooding momentum. Somewhere in the maze of resonance
droplets, cascading hats, and the ominous synth pads, the track "A Black
Liquid Filled My Lungs" hypnotizes in its atmospheric acid electro
hybrid. Right out of the gate, the self-titled track "XK3" punishes
with off-beat synth shards and glitchy, mechanical snares that snap in
anthemic propulsion. While "Ghost of Kashif" weaves itself in

Gravy - another important figure of the Viennese house music scene - returns
to Fortunea Records this spring! 3 years after his stunning compilation
opener ‚Soul Groove’ many fortunate events happened in his career. After

and his own imprint Gravy Trax he managed to finish his debut album ‚X To

Octave
One's deep and downtempo 90s project Never on Sunday will be back later this
year with another EP. Before that, they tease with a lead single that comes
with remixes from Skream, P41 and the legendary Detroit brothers themselves.
Though best known for their electrifying live shows and stadium-sized techno
productions as Octave One, the Burden brothers also started the electronic
band Never On Sunday back in 1991. It saw them put out one solo EP, and one
with MK, before the success of the Octave One project took over. Aside from
an experimental audiovisual live show in Rome in 2018, it has laid dormant...
until now. During the pandemic and no doubt inspired by more time at home and
away from the energy of the dance floor, the brothers have cooked up a wealth
of deep and thoughtful new material that is rich in detail and atmosphere, as
this new single proves. The Bearer (Original Instrumental) is still defined
by scintillating angle sounds, from the meandering synths to the crunchy
broken beats, but the tempo is slowed so you have more time to gaze at the

Two
of the UK’s most established talents team up on Crosstown Rebels this June,
as Darius Syrossian and Bushwacka collaborate on the two-track Return To
Jericho. The release marks their maiden studio collaboration and acts as
Darius’ first appearance on the label. The title track leads the way, opening
with ethereal synth rolls and resonant kick-hat combos. Saharan-like vocals
marry up next to a pacey, 4x4 bassline whilst atmospheric pulses march on in
the background. Akkabi Blue takes on a more-stripped back feel, as minimal
percussion cascades into a breakbeat-inspired breakdown to form a late-night
dancefloor cut. Darius Syrossian has been at the forefront of UK electronic
music for more than a decade. A prolific producer, the Moxy Muzik head has released
several standout EPs on the label, including Fuego and Harlem Nights to name
a few. He has also welcomed several industry-heavyweights to the imprint in
recent times, including East End Dubs, Seb Zito and many more besides.

Trax signals the arrival of his new label CWPT with ‘Petu’, a new single
featuring South African vocalist, Nonku Phiri. Originally debuting in dub
form during the Berlin-based DJ and producer’s set at The Music Locker as
part of Grand Theft Auto Online, ‘Petu’ re-emerges here as a soulful
collaboration, neatly complimented by a wide-eyed take from Masalo. Initially
written as a slow-heating instrumental to connect the various musical dots
across a DJ set, Palms Trax nonetheless had a vocalist in mind throughout, a
fresh voice to lend ‘Petu’ universality and energy. Introduced through mutual
friend Esa, Johannesburg’s Nonku Phiri draws on her signature style
influenced by vintage Afropop styles and folk traditions, delivering a smooth
and vulnerable tale of desire. Triumphant brass recorded by instrumental

This is a very significant 30th
Anniversary issue of an iconic album from 1991. The Future Sound Of London
broke boundaries with "Papua New Guinea", included here,
influencing a whole new era of techno, ambient and electronic music. For the
first time this album has been divided into four sides to comprise a double
LP for higher end audio sound. There are only 1500 copies and each is
individually numbered. It comes in a gatefold sleeve and includes new artwork
exclusive to this limited edition. Both the original single and album were a
fixture on the end of year charts of many publications including Melody
Maker, NME and Mixmag, whilst also achieving Best Techno Single at the Mixmag

legendary soundman and record producer, Lloyd Coxsone, began his career in
the 1960’s soon after arriving from Jamaica. He was one of the first soundmen
to play at West End clubs where a generation of British pop stars like the
Beatles and the Rolling Stones first heard music from Jamaica. Sir Coxsone
sound then dominated the seventies, when Bob Marley & Dennis Brown were
among his greatest allies, as heard on unforgettable dub-plates from that
era. He formed the Tribesman Label and issued King of the Dub Rock before
recording the likes of Fredlocks, Willy Stepper & Jimmy Lindsay. King of

Over
the past decade, Egyptian-born, Barcelona-based DJ and techno producer Raxon,
known to friends and family as Ahmed Raxon, has popped out a steady stream of
twelve-inch singles, precision-tooled, for labels like Cocoon, Drumcode,
Diynamic, Truesoul, and Ellum Audio. An alumni of Kompakt’s Speicher series –
check the insistent, vibrating pulses of “The Ancient” and “Dark Light” on
2019’s Speicher 107 – with Sound Of Mind, Raxon has produced a long-awaited
debut album that’s ready and aching both for the dancefloor and the boudoir,
traversing the heat of the club and the warmth of the home. “The idea of an
album has always floated around in my head for the past few years,” Raxon
confirms, “but it was never the right moment in my mind.” Instead, he’s been
insistently pursuing his vision of deep, elegant techno, taking him from
early DJ gigs in Dubai, including the legendary audio tonic night, then
relocating to Europe on the recommendation of Herman Cattaneo, all the while
allowing his experiences to inform and transmute his producer’s thumbprint.
He’s an architect by training (though he gave architecture up for electronic
music), which might explain why Raxon productions are so sturdy and
well-designed; but remember also that architecture is a field filled with
brave experimentation, something Raxon definitely draws on throughout Sound
Of Mind. Like many albums from the past twelve months, Raxon’s debut
developed partly thanks to the unique social situation the planet has found
itself caught within. “In the beginning of 2020 I started working on a few
tracks with the album in mind,” he recalls, “with no idea of what’s to come
in the next few months. As catastrophic as the situation was/is, I found
myself in the studio; in a way the lockdown gave me that creative freedom in
the studio, [to] try to tell my story through sound. |

Techno
isn't a genre that has birthed many consistent albums, and the dub techno
subgenre even less so, but one indisputable classic is Porter Ricks' debut
'Biokinetics'. Originally issued on the legendary Basic Channel sub-label
Chain Reaction in 1996 following a trio of 12"s, 'Biokinetics' was the
first of the label's album releases, and still stands as its crowning
achievement. Porter Ricks are Thomas Köner and Andy Mellwig, and between them
they re-framed the techno sound, imbuing the spacious ambience pioneered by
label bosses Mark Ernestus and Moritz Von Oswald with a frosty, isolated
experimental bent, and combining it with the sort of haunted minimalism of
early Plastikman. What separated 'Biokinetics' from other albums at the time
was its unwavering narrative - the exact sound has been interpreted countless
times since, but the immersive qualities of this singular record have rarely
been touched. Maybe it is down to the silvery underwater concept that ties
each track together - the bubbling pads, sub-aquatic basses and muffled kick
drums. But as with any great album, it's hard to exactly put your finger on
what makes it a classic. Simply put 'Biokinetics' is one of the most
important records in the genre and one of techno's finest albums. It has been
re-released ten years ago by Type Records, and now Mille Plateaux is
celebrating Porter Ricks' and Biokinetics' 25th anniversary with this
sumptuous double viny edition |

hard to believe DC Salas has yet to appear on Pets. A kindred spirit of Catz
'n Dogz, their paths have crossed many times and their sounds have crossed
even more. Sharing a similar vision for deep, explorative, exciting and
innovative house and techno, a release like this was only a matter of time.
Following big releases on Slowciety and Correspondant, Salas eases us into
2021 with four more wide-ranging cuts. 'Le Réveil' rings the alarm and wakes
us up. An electrified maze of melodic layers and arpeggios, there's a great
sense of mid 90s German house sounds that would eventually spill into the
trance diaspora. Majestic, playful and crystal clean. 'Her Smile' takes us
even deeper down the rabbit hole as acidic entrails weave in and out of the
beats while more cosmic leads layer over the top. Reaching a great melodic
crescendo mid-way, it's yet another great storytelling tune. And it's backed
by two more late night delights: 'Another Chapter' takes us deeper and darker
into the mix with a soaking wet, jelly-like bassline and big pads and chords
that are reminiscent of Justin Martin or Ben Watt before 'The Morning Dance'
brings us back home. Broken drums, clipped horn leads, a jacking spirit and
an acid breakdown you could cook your breakfast eggs on. Good morning, good
afternoon, good evening and goodnight. A release like this can be played at
any time of day |

Acclaimed
UK electronic musician Kevin Richard Martin (The Bug, King Midas Sound)
releases a stunningly powerful rescore of Andrei Tarkovsky’s seminal 1972
movie Solaris on Phantom Limb. In May 2020, British musician Kevin Martin was
invited by the Vooruit arts centre in Gent, Belgium to compose a new score
for a film of his choice. Having been long inspired by pioneering Soviet
filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky, Martin tells us that his 1972 masterpiece Solaris
was the “natural choice”. The film is an unattested giant, not only of
science fiction and Soviet film, but also in the annals cinematic history.
And its original score, composed by regular Tarkovsky collaborator and early
Soviet electronic musician Eduard Artemyev, is a magnificent work of haunting
majesty, a key element to the film’s brilliance. Martin’s challenge was
great: “it was with a certain amount of trepidation I stepped into such large
footprints,” he writes. The results - an all new score entitled Return to
Solaris - are breathtaking. The film is intense, psychologically devastating
and bleakly compelling. Interweaving themes of love, horror, sorrow,
nostalgia, memory and dystopia, Martin’s score expertly mirrors this
expansive breadth of psychic weight, from existential dread to heartbreaking
poignancy, with immense emotional gravity. Drawn to its “narrative struggle
between organic, pastoral memories of a lost past, and the harsh, dystopian
realities of a futuristic hell,” Martin employs atonal noise, simmering waves
of distorted synthesis, undulating drones and otherworldly, astronomic
sound-design to crushing effect. Subtly submerged recurring motifs -
reflections of individual characters - rise and fall amidst the fog,
occasionally illuminating the doom like motes of starlight, before settling
back into the density of space |

Robert
Hood returns to Rekids with ‘The Blueprint EP’ this July. Following 2020’s
‘Mirror Man’ LP on Radio Slave’s Rekids, Detroit pioneer Robert Hood returns
to the label with a four-track EP of his trailblazing minimal techno. Leading
the release, ‘Chroma Light’ opens with cinematic pads and pounding 4/4
patterns as twisted synthesis modulates throughout for a striking start.
Followed by ‘The Majestic (Deeper Edit)’, with rattling percussion and
fiercely relentless stabs, Hood shows his intent in creating propulsive,
dancefloor focussed cuts across the EP. On the flip, ‘The Majestic’ takes the
B1 spot, expanding on the previous track with wild synths and his signature
machine-like drums before ‘Ultrasonic Room’ closes out the release with eerie
atmospherics and an underlying hypnotic pulse taking centre stage. A founding
member of Underground Resistance alongside Mad Mike Banks and Jeff Mills,
Robert Hood is one of techno’s originators, with his decorated career
spanning three decades across labels like Tresor, Peacefrog, Music Man
Records, and of course, his own M-Plant |

Kerrie makes her CE debut with the first of
two EPs for their vinyl-only sister label, Cultivated Electronics Ltd.
Originating from Ireland, Kerrie made a move to the UK in 2010 settling in
Manchester. She soon joined Eastern Bloc Records, spending her time behind
the counter selling records before moving into the role of events coordinator
in 2017. Honing her DJ skills through a residency at Eastern Bloc, Kerrie has
gone on to be a regularly booked act for some of the UK & Ireland's most
prestigious underground club nights and recently made her Berlin and NYC
debuts. After a few of years of producing in the box Kerrie made a move to a
hardware-only set-up in 2014 and since then has also taken her analogue live
shows on the road to various events and festivals including Freerotation and
The Warehouse Project. In 2017 she released her first track for I Love Acid's
10th anniversary compilation, with a follow-up EP for them in 2020. She has
also released an EP on Semtek's inimitable Don't Be Afraid and has recently
started her own label, DMF with a string of releases lined up for this year.
'We Continue Part 1' is defined by Kerrie's organic production style across
its four tracks, bridging the gap between raw, driving tech and twisted
electro with acid flourishes, tough beats and dark bass notes |

The
deep archives of disco legend and synth wizard Patrick Cowley continue to
prove inspirational for Dark Entries. Cowley, who passed away from
AIDS-related illness in 1982, was the multi-faceted producer behind numerous
disco anthems such as Sylvester?s 'You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)'. Since
2009, Dark Entries has been working with Cowley?s friends and family to shed
light on the lesser known facets of this singular artist?s output. This has
resulted in a string of celebrated archival albums, including Catholic
(featuring Jorge Socarras), School Daze, Muscle Up, Afternooners, Mechanical
Fantasy Box, and Some Funkettes. For the latest addition to this saga, White
Trash Boom-Boom, Dark Entries has teamed up with The Stud to release four
tracks culled from some of Cowley?s earliest rehearsal tapes. In 1972 Patrick
was living in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood with Theresa McGinley and
Janice Sukaitis, friends of his from New York. In 1973, Theresa and Janice
formed White Trash Boom-Boom, an all-female avant-garde performance troupe.
Reacting to the Angels of Light and the Cockettes, they captured the spirit
of the times: camp, confrontational, and delirious. Theresa recalls, 'We
brewed a brand of performance that steered away from the doctrinaire and
reveled in ambiguities.' Patrick provided their theatrical experiments with
appropriately zany musical accompaniment |

There’s
liberation on the dance floor in the songs of Matthew Urango – glimpses of
revolution that glimmer beneath the disco ball. “I want my music to bring
people together,” says the Californian pop innovator, best known as Cola
Boyy. “Because standing together is our best chance at fighting this shit
show.” The shit show in question is a broken, brutal system the acclaimed
multi-instrumentalist has witnessed up-close. Urango was born with spina
bifida and scoliosis in Oxnard, California: a town in which almost 30,000 are
estimated to live in poverty. Prosthetic Boombox, his eagerly awaited debut
album, might at first glance seem a joyous confetti-burst of pop eclecticism,
engineered to sound like “scanning between stations on a car radio, landing
on all these different sounds and styles” as Urango puts it. Dig deeper,
though, and you’ll discover a simmering sense of rebellion. “The working
class are injured, struggling to pay rent and struggling to put food on the
table,” he says. “I want to represent that.” Prosthetic Boombox achieves that
goal in a thrilling flurry of inventive indie, funk and soul: take Urango’s
car radio analogy, place it in a time-travelling Delorean with Prince in the
passenger seat, and you’re half-way there. Look no closer than Prosthetic
Boombox’s euphoric opener, the Avalanches-assisted ‘Don’t Forget Your
Neighbourhood.’ The track – which Urango says mixes “the Beach Boys, French
disco, house keys and ragtime piano, kinda like the Cheers soundtrack!” –
ends with lyrics urging listeners to “fight for your town with your fist
closed, strike it and make it more than just a memory.” It’s a reminder that
the working classes need to “turn our fists against our oppressors instead of
each other,” he explains. After that emphatic introduction comes a horn-laced
funk wig-out titled ‘Mailbox’ – a song that gives Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia
a run for its Studio 54-themed money, featuring rising Londoner JGrrey.
Elsewhere, ‘Song for the Mister’ ventures into smooth R&B territory,
before ‘Roses’ – a collaboration with Myd of Ed Banger fame – offers a
bouquet of bustling disco guitars and infinite bisous of Connan Mockasin’s
band drops in on the immaculate ‘Go the Mile’ |

Aurea Music Lab reaches its
fourth release commanded by Marcos Coya, Ultrahigh, Delorean and Aleexe,
delivering again four different weapons oriented to the dancefloor. The
Uruguayan producer Marcos Coya opens this EP with “Shadows”, a super groovy
track full of acid and sitting trance synths that will make clubbers fly high
on a ruling melody that is constantly moving.
For the ones that doesn´t know, “Scoville” is the unit for measuring
spiciness, and this track by Ultrahigh is full of it. Expect heavy low
frequencies dancing alongside spooky melodic synths and classic 909 drums. On
the B side, a smooth and playful trip from Delorean's “Designated Driver”
ruled by different elements that come along together making every second of
this track full of groove and happy melodies count. Lastly Aleexe comes into
