to his forthcoming debut LP, Bogota-born and based house DJ and producer
Felipe Gordon now steps up on Fluid Funk with the six-track "Sincopa
Liquida" EP, featuring New York / Detroit / Atlanta legend Kai Alce and
London's funk master Aroop Roy on remix duty. First in line, "Sincopa
Liquida" treats us to a carnival of soulful Rhodes stabs, jazz trumpet
solos a la Saint-Germain and accordion-like groove, all infused with a subtle
retro charm. Evoking the classic French sound from the Roule years,
"Samplin' N' Slappin'" comes in two versions - the original relying
on a much syncopated swing, complete with mangled vocals and strings, whilst
Aroop Roy's rework turns it into a more straightforward DJ-friendly weapon,
sure to up the room's temperature effortlessly. Flip sides and here comes the
deeper "Obtuso", a vibrant throwback to Chicago house's heyday; its

boundaries from Birmingham and industrial techno music from artist like Coil
or British Murder Boys, a small group of producers in Bratislava create an underground

later. Antidandruff is without doubt the cult label from that scene, with
just 5 references which are almost impossible to find and very high valued in
the second hand market. OAKS presents Antidandruff Legacy a compilation with
two volumes with the transcendental cuts from the catalog. Remastered by Joel
Krozer at 6BitDeep Studio Copenhagen, cut by Simon at The Exchange and served

repress - Masked Techno assassin Buried Secrets returns for his 2nd EP with
Soma with the "Of Lost Things EP". Rave infused, hard hitting, face
pounding techno is standard from Buried Secrets and this latest release is
nothing less than that. The EP feature two stellar remixes from two of
techno's most exciting acts in Obscure Shape & SHDW and Inhalt Der Nacht.
Both of whom stamp their own unique style on the originals. Title track
"Of Lost Things" opens the A-side in true Buried Secrets style as
euphoric synths are balanced perfectly against driving, punishing kicks and
sub. Obscure Shape & SHDW turn their production prowess to "Of Lost
Things" with a straightforward and direct Tool Mix of the original.
Harnessing the power of the synth hook and warping it to their will. On the
flip, "Affliction Of The Absent" renders more high octane techno.
More minimalistic throughout, the industrial vibes are still prominent with
subtlety being the key. Inhalt Der Nacht turns in a more cinematic driven
affair with his remix of "Affliction Of The Absent". A slow burner
that utilises epic sound design showing 432hz fantastic and generally

One
of the most vile and tormented sounds to ever exist is the "Mental Metal
Musik" belonging to none other than the now infamous Sadistik Exekution
of Sydney, Australia. Although these lunatiks gained much of their notoriety
from their full-length albums, the full scope of SadExe's unforgiving
violence cannot be entirely appreciated without proper exposure to the
atrocities committed on their demos and EPs. Nuclear War Now! has conspired
with none other than Dave Slave himself to dig up several of these wretched
slabs of audial torment and once again offer them posthumously to any who
dare expose themselves to such vileness. This LP release of "30 Years of
Agonizing the Dead" (AKA Sadistik Exekution's Shittest Hits) compiles
two of these demos, "Agonizing the Dead" (1992) and
"Suspiral" (1991) as well as two EP singles, "Demon with
Wings" (1996) and "Sadistik Elektrocution" (1997), for your
listening displeasure. Also included is a 20-page booklet featuring

When Kellerkind published his
first tracks on Sirion Records in 2008, nobody ever considered the success
story of Marco Biagini's alter ego. Eight years later he looks back on
numerous releases, among others on Stil vor Talent, Flash, KaterMukke or Hive
Audio. His record debut on Sirion in 2012 another breakthrough, with special
mention required for the title song "Disco on the Dancefloor". It's
with this song that Kellerkind has definitely won the hearts of his audience
and thus left a lasting aftertaste which continues until today. His fourth EP

based Italian stallion Enea releases his 2nd longplayer "Overview"
on his own, soulful South-German imprint, Beatalistics Records. The 10 track
album once again showcases the versatile background of the former
Bass-Player, who grew up on the picturesque Lake Constance. Having been a
familiar name in the international Drum'n Bass scene for more than a decade,
Enea now also takes us beyond the classic 170+ bpm rhythm structures to give
us a proper "Overview" of his musical philosophy. Comprising his
typical softer rolling, Liquid based tunes like "Wonders" featuring
label partner MC Fava, "Earthrise" with "Freebird" or
"Moon" alongside the vocal talent Vavunettha, he additionally

Complete recordings (1969-1974)
of legendary US Acid-Punk band, famous for appearing on the seminal psych
compilation "Endless Journey" back in the 80s. But Unsettled
Society were a total mystery until now. The band came from the New York suburbs
and were famous locally for their powerful stage shows, full of strobe and
psychedelic flashing lights. In 1969 they released their first 45 for the
Charm Label: "17 Diamond Studded Cadillacs", which is pure
acid-psych, lo-fi basement insanity. It was coupled with "Passion
Seeds", a killer moody, atmospheric psych ballad. Between 1972 and 1974
they released two more 45s in a fantastic heavy psych vein, the last one
recorded under the Thunder Head name. All of them are included here with

Hereby a classic japanese acid
folk tale, also credited by the wizard master Julian Cope in his
aprocksampler' top 50 list. Tokedashita Garasu Bako, or Melting Glass Box,
was a studio-only project of Nishiokai Takashi (Itsutsu No Akai Fusen),
"Singing Philosopher" Tetsuo Saito and Takasuke Kida (of
influential psychedelic freaks Jacks). Guest musicians included Kazuhiko Kato
(Folk Crusaders, Sadistic Mika Band), Kazuo Takeda (Blues Creation) and
mastermind Haruomi Hosono (Apryl Fool, Happy End, YMO). Their sole release
licensed in 1970 on URC (Japanese independent record label specializing in
folk, co-founded in February 1969 by Hayakawa Yoshio, guitarist for the
psychedelic band Jacks) became soon after a cult record leading the way for
the eastern psychedelic renaissance. An authentic lysergic trip filled with
mind-blowing electric guitar leads and many studio tricks thrown in! Get

Sébastien
Tellier, the first signing to Record Makers, returned after his 2001
"L'Incroyable Vérité" album and his appearance on the soundtrack to
Sofia Coppola's "Lost In Translation" with "Politics", a
stunning eleven-track LP of almost indescribable cinematic and uplifting
music. Produced in Paris by the legendary Philip Zdar (Cassius, Etienne de
Crecy), "Politics" is an uncompromising album featuring
contributions from artists as diverse as Tony Allen (Fela Kuti), Quentin
Dupieux (aka Mr Oizo) and the Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra.
"Bye-Bye", the first track on the album was originally written as
part of the score for Sebastien's starring role in the Quentin Dupieux
directed file "Nonfilm", with Tony Allen striking the perfect chord
for 'Bye-Bye's rhythms. However after 'Bye-Bye' everything came together for
the album - and Tellier began composing music in Phillippe Zdar's studios at
84 Rue Des Martyrs, Paris. "Let's give the minorities their say, and
show the way to those who have forgotten the roots of our planet's problems!
The East Germans should know, and the wetbacks, and those who work themselves
into the ground! Say no to stylistic controls, don't fight the rhythm - Tony
Allen will be there to support me along with the rest of them", he said.
And that's what happened: the troops stormed in to defend the Native
Americans ("Ketchup Vs Genocide"), the Mexicans ("League
Chicanos"), two Africas, one idealized and one torn by civil war
("Wonderafrica" and "La Tuerie"), and a sporty East
German who actually misses the Berlin Wall because she hasn't been able to
play solo tennis since it's collapse ("Mauer") - in short, the oppressed
were finally given a voice and re-ushered into a very personal but also
universal "POLITICS". This voice is magnified by open, melodious
music that is unfettered and full of pleasure. With 'Politics' we blissfully
sing of the pleasures of eating bananas under the sun, or of making love with
the moonlight. It's that simple |

beautiful triptych all build around field recordings molded into a lovely
collection of lush tracks suited for the club and the ambient room! This is
what Mr Tophat wants to share; " The first ideas of creating an actual
album came in the spring of 2016, not long after the breakup from a long
relationship. A dark time full of contemplation and re-evaluation of my life.
That September I got the first sonic images. Right after a month I'd spent
living on Ibiza. The powerful sunsets, the dramatic skies over the Balearic
sea, the starlit nights and the beautiful sunrises. I remember swimming in
the ocean with a view of a pretty horizon, filled with love and soft emotions.
I remember I standing alone in the pitch black night, how I met the
Mediterranean storm and heavy rain hit my cheeks. It felt as I was crying and
screaming, even though there was noting but silence. The thunder lit up the
cloudy sky like a stroboscope, to suddenly a few hours later with the turn of
dawn bring everything into a calm and peaceful nature of sinus - like
everything was reset. The fundamental state of mind to perceive a real world
more like the unreal; mesmerise and tilt the present understanding of being
alive made me scared. Dramatic and dynamic. Partly hard and treating but also
soft, gentle and friendly. Horrifying but still so beautiful. This remind me
of life, death, primal aspects and the biological processes in general.
Everything started when my childhood friend Kalle and I first visited
Berghain. It was 2008 and we where 18 years old. We had found each other
being two individualists with our own nerdy interests |

Techno
pioneer Robert Hood debuts on Rekids with a blistering release entitled
‘Nothing Stops Detroit’ ahead of an album this winter. Over the last three
decades the Underground Resistance alum has continually been at the forefront
of the techno genre whilst releasing on many of electronic music’s finest
labels to boot. In recent years his solo outings have appeared on a select
few labels such as Dekmantel, Music Man Records, not to mention his very own
M-Plant. Having made appearances on Rekids in the past remixing label boss
Radio Slave - both as Robert Hood (‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’) and Floorplan
(‘Feel The Same’) - the Detroit originator now drops a four track release in
his official debut on the label. With its machine aesthetic, ‘Nothing Stops
Detroit’ is unmistakably Hood from start to finish. Precision kick drums
propel the title track forward as stuttering effects and deep stabs work
alongside a march band rhythm. ‘7 Mile Dog’ is next with its grainy synths
and scintillating pads, making way for the meandering bassline, rattling
atmospherics and trippy, oscillating top line of ‘Ignite A War’. Finally,
‘The Cure’ is a cacophony of twisted percussion and rumbling low-end that
energetically concludes matters |

The
most famous musical themes from Tim Burton’s movies. Most of them are
composed by Tim Burton’s favourite composer (Danny Elfman), and some by
Howard Shore and Stephen Sondheim. The songs are drawn from the cult film
that launched Johnny Depp’s career: “Edward Scissorhands”, to his latest
masterpiece: “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”. The collaboration between
Tim Burton and Danny Elfman is one of the most successful of Hollywood. This
duo has allowed to convey this distinctive imagery created by the former Walt
Disney cartoonist, who has become, today, the undisputed master of fantasy
and strangeness. Danny Elfman (also known for the famous Simpsons’
generic/film credits) remains the composer who, better than anyone, has been
able to transcribe the universe both dark and fairy of his favourite
director. His music draws its inspiration from Edgar Allan Poe’s novel,
German expressionism and from the Hammer’s cult movies. This vinyl offers an
hour of music to immerse yourself into Tim Burton’s phantasmagoric universe:
from the hypnotic and quirky theme of Willy Wonka (Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory) to the disturbing atmosphere of Gotham City (Batman). This album
pays tribute to both Tim Burton’s cinematographic work and Danny Elfman’s
musical genius |
