Schwefelgelb
is a Techno duo from Berlin, known for their raw but precise and cutting
productions. Their reputation for a strikingly energetic live show brought
them into clubs and festivals around the globe. After launching their own
label n-PLEX and releasing two original EPs on it, NPLX003 marks a re-release
of their most successful record "Dahinter Das Gesicht"
("Behind It The Face"), which was released on [aufnahme+wiedergabe]
in 2017 primarily. After 1500 sold out copies it still remains highly
demanded as one of the most influential records for actual
EBM-Industrial-influenced Techno. This re-issue comes in a special edition of
remastered track versions and also includes an edit of its most notorious
track "Es Zieht Mich" as addition to the four original tracks. The
12" 140 g solid yellow / transparent green colored vinyl provides a
download code and will be released mid of November. Previous releases on
[aufnahme+wiedergabe], Fleisch Records, Minimal Wave Records imprint Cititrax

TOXIC
WASTE represent the hardest end of the CRASS milieu. While most anarcho-punk
bands of the time sang about a war they'd only seen on TV TOXIC WASTE were
being politically active in Belfast during the troubles. They played militant
punk with melody and aggression. Borderline hardcore at times with a clear
peace-punk message. Angry, intense and in your face. They were involved in
the Warzone Collective and shared stages, experiences and activism with bands
such as STALAG 17, CONFLICT , ASYLUM and ANTISECT. "Belfast" was
originally released in 1987 on Vocalist Roy Wallace's Belfast Records and has
been out of print for 30 years. It was a compilation of previously released
tracks and newly recorded versions of old tracks with Dino and Gary from
D.I.R.T doing the female vocal parts and guitars. The 12 tracks on
"Belfast" are nuggets of raging pissed off DIY anarcho punk with
hard hitting lyrics and dual vocals. The recordings are raw and passionate
and stand the test of time. The band released an iconic split 12" with
STALAG 17 on Mortarhate (1985) - the tracks are included on
"Belfast" and then the following year a split LP called We will be
Free with STALAG 17 and ASYLUM before calling it a day and becoming a lost
piece of the anarcho punk puzzle. This reissue comes with replica sleeve and

Neil Young's extensive tour with
Crazy Horse in 1976 comes after the release of On The Beach in 1974 and two
albums, Tonight's The Night and Zuma, the following year. The first live
appearances with the new Crazy Horse with Frank (Poncho) Sampedro replacing
the deceased Dan Whitten consist of four shows in ten days in little clubs
and bars in northern California, dubbed the "Rolling Zuma Revue."
An extensive world tour was booked, called "The Year Of The Horse,"
beginning on March 3rd, 1976 in Nagoya. This was Young's first visit to Japan
and he played seven shows in Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Tokyo |

Born in rural Mississippi and
associated with Memphis, versatile entertainer Rufus Thomas is a legendary
figure, having been a tap-dancer, comedian, and DJ before recording for
Satellite in 1961-the label that soon became Stax. Thomas' improvised hit, 'The
Dog,' led to immortal follow-up, 'Walking The Dog,' so massively popular that
it became the centrepiece of his debut LP, an irresistible blend of funk and
soul with lashings of Thomas' trademark humour. Whether with originals or
standards like 'Ya Ya' and 'Land Of 1,000 Dances', Thomas keeps the action
tight and in addition to both 'Dog' hits, there is further instalment, 'Can
Your Monkey Do The Dog,' co-penned with Stax's Steve Cropper. A killer set! |

Pioneering percussionist Solomon
Ilori was one of the first Nigerian artists to record with American jazz
musicians, travelling to New York in 1958 to introduce African music to
American audiences. After appearing on Art Blakey's 1962 LP 'The African Beat'
for Blue Note, he recorded 'African High Life' with members of Blakey's
ensemble, including guitarist Jay Berliner, bassist Ahmed Abdul Malik, Hosea
Taylor on alto sax and flute, and percussionists Montego Joe Montego, Robert
Crowder and Garvin Masseaux. 'Tolani Re O' is a love song, 'Ise Oluw' a song
of religious praise, 'Yaba E' a farewell song that was issued as a single,
and 'Aiye Le' a warning of the dangers of this world |

With
the release of breakthrough albums Masterpiece and Capacity, Big Thief's
Adrianne Lenker has established hers as one of the most powerful voices in
music. As Consequence of Sound describes it, "Thanks to the swift ascent
of Big Thief, singer-songwriter Adrianne Lenker has become one of the most
praised indie folk artists of the last five years.' While her output with Big
Thief is what brought her music to the attention of most who hold her in such
high regard, Masterpiece is not the beginning of the story. "My first
solo record I made was Hours Were the Birds,' Lenker explains. 'I moved to
New York and, starting from complete scratch, had nothing to show anybody
that was representing what I did, other than stuff I made when I was 13. So,
I decided I should record a solo album of my songs that I had been
accumulating.' In 2013 Lenker returned to her hometown of Minneapolis and
entered Terrarium Studios with producer Rob Oesterlin, where she laid down
ten songs on acoustic guitar. 'It's basically just like a live solo show,'
Lenker describes, 'but with an added twist.' She then enlisted NYC friend
Andrew Sarlo to mix the album (he would later produce and mix Masterpiece and
engineer, produce and mix Capacity), and on January 24, 2014 Hours Were the

Axes make a triumphant return to Phantasy with a further trio of
expertly-crafted leftfield club tracks. Having produced several of the
label’s best-loved club moments such as ‘Sipoor’ and ‘Sound Test’, the
Israeli duo easily surpass their charismatic reputation across ‘Some Lights’.
‘Some Lights’ stomps forward to reveal the footprints of a rave giant, yet,
even Red Axes at their most anthemic unfold the unexpected. Bleary-eyed
chords stretch wistfully into the far-distance, as a male voice compounds the
mood; “Sunrise”. Suddenly, the Axes pull the rug and reveal the howling club
wolf hidden behind the sheep’s dress code, plunging dancers into a heavy trip
of vintage rave chords and EBM-drum play. The more psychedelically inclined
will meanwhile find plenty to embrace in the wide, kaleidoscopic canyons of
‘Skulls’, a deeper-still groove machine that conjures up images of untamed
sonic plains, Morricone-esque chords unexpectedly synthesised with
psychobilin. Finally, ‘Professor Grasstov’ finds the duo loosening up into
more playful form still, dragging the good name of this notable academic on a

is Rosaceae’s second album for Pudel Produkte after last year’s acclaimed
»Efia« for the Hamburg label. The eight tracks further explore the artist’s
interest in the interplay of sound and language while also adding skittering
rhythms and thumping kickdrums to the mix. »DNA« is a complex but enriching
album that as a whole not only reflects ideas of resistance, solidarity and
internationalism, but also how they are mediated and their meanings are
shaped by different types of mediation. Whether Rosaceae seems to mimic the
sound of rapid machine gun fire, indulges in gabber-informed beats or
soothing, tinkling ambient sounds: by the end of the album the sonic
experience could as much provide solace as it may be understood as an elegy,
it has become abundantly clear that even the most straightforward usages of
certain musical elements or statements on this album are more complex than
they may seem at first. Much like »Efia,« »DNA« poses uneasy questions but
provides no easy answers—neither in sound nor in language |

House music legend Ian Pooley
readies ‘Studio A Pt. 1’, the first of a three release series, for Radio
Slave’s Rekids imprint this September. Active since the early 90s, the German
DJ/producer has released on the likes of Force Inc, V2 Records, and his own
Pooledmusic, as well as remixing for the likes of Daft Punk, Deee-Lite, Carl
Cox and many more. Here though, Pooley arrives on Rekids with his first ever
contribution to the label, delivering three direct and grooving house tracks.
Leading the release, ‘Basic Juno’ sees modulating synth lines deftly placed
around chunky drums accompanied by pulsing basslines and shimmering pads,
before ‘Close Your Eyes’ brings a dose of trippy vocals and shuffling
percussion amongst interplaying hardware for a punchy start to the B side.
‘303 (2 Bars)’ brings the release to a close with pounding drum machines,
meaty acid lines, and blissful leads |

Jackie
Mittoo is one of Jamaica's musical giants, a towering figure in the
development of reggae whose skills as a keyboardist and musical arranger led
to indelible changes in the evolution of Jamaican popular music, helping it
to reach international prominence. An exceptionally-expressive player whose
mastery of the organ was truly outstanding, Mittoo was also a gifted arranger
with an intrinsic feel for what would work best, his key instruction giving
shape to ska at Studio One and roots reggae at Channel One and other Kingston
studios, as well as lover's rock at Wackies in New York and with Sugar Minott
and UB40 in Britain, Jackie's own productions later incorporating far-out
synthesizer experiments and vocoder techniques. Reggae as we know it would
never have existed without Mittoo's essential input, making him an under-sung
icon of Jamaican song. Jackie Mittoo went on to make all kinds of other
incredible music in Jamaica, the UK, USA, and Canada before dying of cancer
in 1990 at the tragically young age of 42< the dramatic send-off he
received at the National Arena in Kingston gives some indication of the
stellar status he achieved in his lifetime and the universal respect with
which he was regarded. In an exemplary career full of exceptional music,
-Showcase-, originally released on Bunny Lee-s own imprint Jackpot in 1977,
remains one of his greatest, an enthralling collection of stunners that shows
why he will always be regarded as Jamaica's keyboard king |

Belgium's
Milo Spykers pays homage to his homeland with "Belgian Bass" EP,
featuring four old school rave cuts set for release on his resident
label,Lenske Records. Part of the Lenske family since its inception,
DJ/Producer Milo Spykers returns to Lenske Records for his fourth EP on the
Belgian label. Packed with four explosive tracks, the EP marks another
stand-out release for Spykers following his "Accelerator" EP last
summer. Kicking off with authority is the thunderous opening track
"Stainless Steel", armed with a marching kickdrum and whompy bass.
The track breaks down midwa yto give way to a weighted synth melody and
flared hi hats that conjoin with a triad of melodic themes, creating an
intoxicating blend of rhythm and sound. Next up and packed with explosive
pairings is "Blood Hound". Taunting synths and a punching kick
create a propulsive rhythm. More chaotic than its predecessor, an array of
drums are used to raise the intensity. Sinister synth notes blend seamlessly
with the dramatic percussion that feels custom built for dark, thumping
techno basements. On the flip is title track "Belgian Bass", a high
voltage stomper with a powerful kick, jackin' rhythm and metallic textures.
Siren like synths sound out amongst powerful snares and cymbals. Creating an
almost cinematic feeling, the track is brilliantly hectic, broken up by a
solitary clap before the chaos resumes |

Club owner Sour has squeezed the best out of his analog gear collection!
These tracks will get the crowd straight into pure acid bless. Hypnotizing
303 basslines are supported by solid kickdrums, rattling hats and clever
percussion. The subtle synths supply that extra dimension where we all like
to be. This 4 tracker will supply you with some serious dancefloor fuel, that
will keep the crowd craving for more. "Dusk" Uplifting acid for the
dancefloor, driven by solid kicks and a fast pulsating bassline. However
uplifting this track may be, it will subtly drag you into dusk as the track
progresses. "Ataraxis" While your body and eardrums receive some serious
stimulation, mental stress or anxiety will be absent, overruled by this acid
banger in it's purest form. "Hexa" With Hexa, Sour knows how to

This
fall, Detroit techno icons Octave One serve up the third volume of their
Locus of Control EP series. The two-track offering again explores the ‘power
or powerlessness people feel over the things that shape their world,’ and
never has that been more true than during the last 18 months of the pandemic.
It has almost been two years since the release of the last installment. Of
course, the pandemic largely explains that delay, but that doesn’t mean the
celebrated Burden Brothers haven’t stayed busy in other ways. Already in
2021, they have served up their Reworks and Whatever She Wants EPs, and have
also revived their more introspective 90s alias Never on Sunday for a new EP
later in 2021. More than 25 years after first starting out, they continue to shape
the modern techno landscape with their famous analogue approach, as this new
EP proves. It opens with the superb ‘Shameless,’ a heavily percussive yet
elastic track that bangs from the start. The bassline is dark and menacing
but also has a subtle sense of techno funk. Once the pixelated chords arrive,
the track is doused in a cosmic energy that will take dance floors to the
next level. Then comes ‘School of Seven Bells’, a straight-up seven- minute
techno workout laden with rich layers of synth and a baseline full of
suspense |

Rogue
D & Memoryman AKA Uovo team up for their latest release this September
with the Electric Safari EP. The four-tracker marks their collaborative debut
on Crosstown Rebels, fresh from Total Black on Rebellion in 2019, and
includes two remixes by longstanding German talent, Roman Flügel. That tribal
sound is felt right from the get go, as rustling hats marry up next to
whirring synth pulses throughout. Ethereal keys chime beside resonant kicks
whilst bell-like tones march on in the background. Roman Flügel’s remix takes
on a more minimal-inspired feel, where a punchy underlying bassline perfectly
compliments the celestial chord solos, before proceedings get stripped back
further on the B Side with a dub version of each track. Italian-native Rogue
D is a well-loved figure in the contemporary house sphere. Renowned as one of
half of Flashmob, his back-catalogue boasts EPs on an array of the scene’s
leading labels, including Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels and Defected to
name a few. Fellow Italian-mainstay Memoryman AKA Uovo has garnered a global
following in a career that spans decades. One third of the legendary
Pastaboys collective, his productions have found a home on Snatch! Records

The
new album 'Aesthesis' from Shapednoise aka Sicilian artist Nino Pedone is out
in November 2019 on Numbers. Over the nine tracks and thirty seven minutes,
there’s a controlled collision of noise and metal with rave and hardcore.
Pedone’s penchant for the peak energies of gritty techno and modern rap/trap
bleed through, with earth-shattering blocks of bass and beats conveyed within
his practice of sonic sculpture. ‘Aesthesis’ melts these sounds down,
evolving them into something new of his own - a complex, hybrid being
designed to be played loud. The first listen, CRx Aureal, is one of the most
arresting cuts from the record: a nightmarish thrill embracing a sense of
constant movement, with intense shards of sound ricocheting and morphing,
forged together through a series of metallic refrains. This flirtation with
the extremes of sound has engulfed Shapednoise’s entire creative output and
lifestyle - from his albums and EPs over the last decade, to his two labels
Cosmo Rhythmatic and REPITCH, having recently dropped critically acclaimed
releases by King Midas Sound, Shackleton & VTSS. Pedone describes
‘Aesthesis’ as “informed by a set of key elements that intwine all the tracks
together, like steps in a long research process. It is intended as a sensory
experience where the senses act as an interface, sound as space.” His
experimentation with unorthodox rhythmic structures and radical cinematic
design reveals actions grounded in direct experience, but “inspired by a kind
of speculative realism”. In seeking to master the wild heights of noise and
the weight of subsonic frequencies, Shapednoise aims to “generate a sense of
unreal-yet-tangible space and time, where the physicality of the music builds
up a place that exists between people and objects, rather than the other way
around.” |

are always looking for personal and genuine works, and our sixth release was
not going to be less. We are very happy to present "Entropy Ep", a
three incredible original cuts by producer Yotam Aflalo and a remix of one of
the finest of Liverpool, Reedale Rise. Yotam invites us to a trip through
breaks and electro, where his taste for rhythm stands out. Subtle acid lines
mixed with mysterious pads, along with masterfully programmed percussions are
the signature of the EP. In B2 we find our first remix on the label, and
certainly no one better than the wizard Reedale Rise. RR redesigns
"Four", building on some original elements, and turning the cut
into a delightful dream lucid through the classic 808 sound, bouncing bass
and crystal clear keys. A solid Ep that fits in any bag of a good musiclover,
for club use or home mental-pleasure. We are also excited to announce a
collaboration with talented photographer Dan Cohen. His photos will accompany
