Ogawa & Tokoro is a handcrafted synthesizer dream sequence. Looking
through an ancient oriental telescope,let us seek the future of music and Zen

the ancestors of all humankind. Pressed to vinyl for the first time,
remastered by Kuniyuki Takahashi! "Shinmaiko" released from
Kakubarhythm last summer became an unprecedented hit the debut album of the
home recording unit "Ogawa & Tokoro" by two university students
in Nagoya! !! He presided over the cassette label "Oriental Tapes"
and released his own limited edition of 50 in 2019. The long-awaited first
vinylization of the 1st album "Planetary Exploration-" by
"sound of speed". Kuniyuki Takahashi is in charge of
mastering. Despite the simple riff
usage, 80's pop, city pop, 90's old house mood with a sense of balance like
the zero age The sense of building is that it feels comfortable and a new
approach coexists. Downloading by song is the mainstream Use the expression

The first in our programme to
release all three Ohio Players Westbound albums on vinyl. "Pain" was their first for the
label, released in 1972. The album charted relatively modestly at 21, but it
was the six months that it spent on the charts that was the surest indicator
of what was to come. The band was touring heavily and was just a hit away
from a breakthrough. This would come with their next Westbound album,
"Pleasure", and the hit, 'Funky Worm'. Featuring the first of Joel Brodsky's

have been way too easy concentrating on titles with "Ghost",
"Spook" or "Devil" simply in the titles of often very
boring and only fast or unbelievable lame tracks, so Stag-O-Lee went ahead

Not Fade continues a tradition of marking its anniversary with star-studded
compilations; for its sixth year, expect no less. Fans of the Bristol-based
purveyor of feel-good dance music will recognise the names; members of the
Shall Not Fade family from across all of its sublabels and series come
together for a stellar 24 track project, presented in a triple vinyl boxset.

Believed
to have been recorded in 1983, ‘O Filho Do Homem’ is a newly discovered and
previously unreleased single by the late Brazilian composer and keyboardist
Ana Mazzotti. Though it’s her only known studio recording of the decade, ‘O
Filho Do Homem’ is one of several unreleased compositions Mazzotti and her
band performed on TV Cultura and Programa MPB during the 80s.* These
performances showed Mazzotti had transitioned towards a harder edged and more
daringly experimental sound in this period, while keeping the core components
of samba, jazz and funk that characterised her two studio albums from the
1970s, Ninguem Vai Me Segurar (1974) and the self titled Ana Mazzotti (1977).
This evolved 80s sound had evidently taken a similar path to that of her contemporaries
and mentors, like Azymuth, whose keyboardist José Roberto Bertrami arranged
her debut album, and Hermeto Pascoal who described her as “a super musician.”
Following the resurgence in appreciation for Ana’s music that arose from the
2019 reissues of her two studio albums, her son Toni Mazzotti was compelled
to re-examine the archive of artefacts he’d inherited from his parents.
Amongst the LPs, chord sheets, photos and VHS recordings, Toni stumbled upon
a mysterious reel of tape, which he swiftly dispatched to the Far Out office
in London. Toni and the Far Out team were delighted to discover the mystery
tape was a hazy jazz-funk gem recorded by his mother (and father, drummer
Romildo Santos) during the twilight of her short career; Ana Mazzotti sadly
passed away in 1988 from lung cancer at the age of just 37. Aside from Ana on
keyboards and vocals and Romildo who produced and played drums on all of
Ana’s recordings, the line-up for the quartet is unknown. “O Filho Do Homem”
will be released on 7” vinyl on the 10th December 2021 via Far Out Recordings |

Trance Plantations is the new
brainchild of Nathan Daems and Falk Schrauwen. Both musicians know each other
from Echoes of Zoo, an idiosyncratic and energetic band that effortlessly
mixes ethio jazz and afrobeat with unadulterated rock. For this duo project
they again draw on a range of influences, but slow down the tempo. They draw
on tribal and spiritual music from all over the world and launch them into
the cosmos through their electro-acoustic mix. They call their music
'Fictional Tribe Music (From Space)'. On their first LP - the eponymous
Trance Plantations - they immerse the listener in five different dream

For
the inaugural vinyl release of Psycho Bummer, we bring an EP from one of our
label founders, DJ Scam (Brandon Ivers). Jungle and drum'n bass was the
starting point for us as DJs, friends, and collaborators, so it seemed
fitting to begin the story here. The EP's opener, "Darkside
Geezer", is a tribute to the transition point right before hardcore
morphed into jungle in 1993. Although producers worked with a small palette
of sounds back then, the emotion and freshness they were able to pull out of
their limitations remains unrivaled. "Darkside Geezer" imagines an
alternate reality of that period, drawing parallels between it and the
transitions that 2020 brought us. "Sodium Pentothal" is the
roughest tune on this release, adopting the sonics of modern drum'n bass
production, but channeled through the tropes of the music in its early
stages. DJs like Sherelle, Tim Reaper, and Coco Bryce played a tremendous
role in inspiring us (and keeping us sane) over the last year, so we wanted
to stick to the tempo they helped rekindle. The closer, "Black
Swan", focuses on the simplicity of early hardcore and jungle, but
breaks away with glassy chimes and a folding, geometric structure. Made with
old samplers and tracker software, "Black Swan" was the first track
Scam did for this release and it helped set the tone for what followed.
Psycho Bummer loves the feel of weighty vinyl, so we've opted for 180 gram
pressings with a brilliant purple color. The album art, created by Canadian
artist Ben O'Neil, is printed on a higloss laminant sleeve, which retains the

November. Arriving on Radio Slave’s vital Rekids imprint following 2020’s
‘Freedom of Fear EP’ on Rekids Special Projects, British duo KUSP deliver the
captivating ‘Folding’, featuring vocals from Pablo:Rita and remixes from
label boss Radio Slave and electronic music luminary Roman Flügel. A
deviation from the duo’s upfront techno records, which have been supported by
likes of Luke Slater, Regal, Truncate, and more, KUSP have crafted an emotive
breakbeat jam featuring vocals from West London-based Pablo:Rita, the
Crosstown Rebels affiliated duo formed of Annabel Simpson and Liz Cass.
Following the A1 is the ‘After Dark’ mix, which sees the duo head to heavier
territories, stripping away the vocals and going for the jugular with crisp,
pounding drums under the original’s melodic touch. On the flip, Roman
Flügel brings his years of clubland experience to the table,
introducing a wonky electro-esque pattern, arpeggiated synth lines, before an

Shortly after the release of the
Raw Power album, Mainman - the agency that handles the band - opens Mainman
West, an office in Los Angeles. The Stooges, back from England, decided to
follow suit and moved to L.A., practicing their art five days a week. A
series of performances (five times two concerts) is by chance recorded. These
performances are described by the trade magazine Back Door Man as "the
best rock concerts of all time"! It is one of those historic moments
that appears here, with, as a bonus, "She Creatures of Hollywood
Hills" that the Stooges seem to have performed only once! (From another

release on their main catalogue Haven are excited to invite French king of
spooky crunched-up rollers and Wrongnotes member Draugr to the label for the
first time, alongside some half-time madness from Headless Horseman on the
remix. The A1 gets us moving with Gjoll, where creepy atmospheres,
disembodied vocal hits and noisey drum rhythms crash together in a concoction
of hard techno destruction. The A2 continues this formula in Volva, with
rolling synth lines and demonic ambient textures leading in to an infernal
animalistic wail breaking in to the mix following the breakdown. The B1
continues the destruction on the flip with Vigrid - a hectic drum rhythm work
out buttressed with spiky metallic patterns and further ghoulish sound design
and sampling. Headless Horseman closes out the record with his remix of
Gjoll, transforming it into sinister half-time stepper ripe with droning
atmospheres and powerful drum hits to finalise another offering of club ready

From
his early years on the music scene in Edinburgh, Theo Kottis has built a buzz
as one of the UK's most exciting DJs. He is also the curator of his own
unique sound, crafted on his Beautiful Strangers series, and gained clout
from star DJs the world over. The Mirror EP is fronted by a euphoric party
track inspired by Kottis' lockdown yearning for "the kind of party where
you don't stop dancing" - and crafted perfectly for this purpose. The
raw energy of breaks and rave piano stabs is permeated by Busola's pep talk,
getting the listener and the dancer geared up for the summer of release after
a year of restrictions. On the B Side, "Onda" takes its name from
the Spanish word for waves. This is a blissed out relaxation after the intensity
of the A-Side, an ode to an Ibiza poolside which still maintains a strong
groove. Playful pads pop out under sublime strings for an instantly nostalgic
vibe. Theo Kottis words on the release "Earlier this year during peak
winter lockdown, craving the kind of party where you don't stop dancing, I
took matters into my own hands, producing this new single "The
Mirror", featuring Busola - who is the life of the party - to bring
euphoric sounds to my living room and now to yours. The thought of the
impending "Summer of Love" got me through lockdown and I wanted to
create something energetic and fun to mirror that excitement. I'd seen Little
Gay Brother, the LGBTQ+ party and community perform at many festivals and
knew their vibe would be an ideal source for this raw energy - I was
introduced to Busola who provided the ultimate summer of self-love pep talk,
something we all needed to get back out there post lockdown! The second track
is a nod to my summer escape to Ibiza where I played Pikes poolside and spent
time in the sea and watching waves - "ondas" in Spanish - to reset
and relax |

Lets
hear the German duo explain this record themselves: This is an EP with four
very different tracks and we really mean all of them. None here feels like
everybody's darling but they all do make us feel something, and that is what
we strife for, always. The tracks have all been made by just the two of us
completely being in the zone, except for House In The Hills, that started as
a wonderful jam at our friend Tx‘s place in late 2019, together with him and
Jamie Lloyd. We basically hung out for two days straight with nothing but the
best people, great food and all the music - happy days as one might guess.
The Toy Tonics crew has been in touch ever since we remixed a song for
Kapote, and the idea of doing an EP together had and been tossed around for a
while already. We've been digging their musical approach all along and we're
happy to get the chance to contribute a small piece to their story. When the
pandemic hit, we were fortunate to have our friend Iron Curtis letting us
move into his studio, as we had just lost our beloved place in Hamburg - so
guess what we did for the most part of 2020? Exactly. We have always been
spending most of our time together cooking beats, but probably never as much
as over the last year. So has it been 10.000 hours by now? We don’t know but
we’re certainly working on it |

provided Valentino Mora the outlet to explore his concept of "active
meditation", through the lexicon of deep and organically-textured
ambient house and techno. Now with the inking of sub-label imprint EDO
(Exothermal Dance Organization) Mora's newest output finds direct, molecular
inspiration from deep in the aquaverse. Taking its name from the chemical
release of heat, EDO's exothermic first EP delivers four tracks of heady,
transformative techno atmospheres. Charting Mora's evolution from
multi-channel acoustic recordings, samples and digital-analog hybridity,
Hydrosphere EP continues his production complexity yet arrives at this point
via the singular expression of modular synthesis. "Erosion" opens
as a cryptic transmission from submersed entities, with haunting tone
tendrils emerging from within the indigo unknown. A subtle echo of reverb
softens the edge of its propulsive kick drum, creating an entrancing,
enticing and unsettling journey into the deep. The snaking minimalist shimmer
of the title track "Hydrosphere" evokes a landscape of frozen
tundra, with a backdrop of shifting, urgent techno precision. Bewitching
through endless motion and slow deliberation, chimes and pings are stretched
out and warped to mind-bending effect. "Doppler Shift" takes a
forthright approach, leading with prominent looped bass tones, percussion and

Trax are back on wax with the brand-new House House House which takes us into
the nu rave classics sound. Having produced so many fine cuts over the years,
none more so than this monster, DJ Ghost and Youri Parker make up Cherrymoon
Trax and they always have their finger on the pulse of the latest sounds.
They’ve ramped it up a notch here, bringing their experience to the studio
and hitting the sweet spot once again. As the resurgence of 12” vinyl
continues, we decided to get this monster cut for the fans and collectors and
it will be packaged in our new Bonzai sleeve design. The Original Mix opens
on the A-side and, right from the off we’re faced with a chunky kick drum and
a deep, bubbling bass. Huge synth stabs and classic 303 licks inject energy
into the groove as the track builds, climaxing with a mighty drop that will
raise the hands in the air. On the B-side we have a tight remix from
long-standing Cherrymoon Trax member Youri Parker with his Late Night Feeling
Mix. Someone must have left him alone with energy lever, because he’s notched
it up to maximum level. The beats are laced with a subby bass and the vocal
hypnotizes your mind. The break unleashes a chest busting lead that winds up

Tubby's Hometown Hi-Fi was one the great Sound Systems in Jamaica. It also
proved a fantastic outlet for the Dub Plate Specials cut at Tubby's studio,
providing exclusive cuts to be played out and to intice the dance's audience.
The tracks at the time were mainly cut over producer Bunny 'Striker' Lee
rhythms, that Bunny stored at Tubby's studio which was in fact his home, 18
Drumilly Avenue,Kingston, Jamaica.The versions were given exclusive plays at
Tubby's sound before some finding their way on to vinyl, as the b-side
version cut to it's a-side vocal, proving so popular that the records were
often brought for its version side over its vocal counterpart. King Tubby and
Producer Bunny 'Striker' Lee are intertwined in the birth of Dub Music, after
discovering a mistake that made a 'serious joke' (more of which later...)
they went on to release the first pressings of this new musical genre namely
'Dub Music'. Tubby's vast knowledge of electronics and Bunny's vast catalogue
of rhythms would lay the foundations of what today is taken as a standard...

Splitradix
is the moniker of Irish producer Stephen Hennelly. Prior to taking on the
Splitradix title for 2014's Glassilaun Memento EP, Hennelly was known
variously as DJ Gaillimh and skkatter - both names which should ring a bell
for those heads who had an eye on the scene in the 2000s. Since Glassilaun
Memento, Hennelly's brand of 'Gaeltachtstep' - 'Gaeltacht' meaning those
areas of Ireland where the Irish language is still actively spoken - has
graced both the Virtual Urban and 030303 labels. He continues to rep his area
with 51º53'43"Nord 8º25'09"Waldorf, a four-track EP which marks the
debut Splitradix drop on Sheffield's Central Processing Unit imprint. This is
a textured, dynamic quartet of productions, one which uses the core sounds of
electro, acid and IDM-techno as a base from which Splitradix can explore some
fabulously idiosyncratic production tendencies. '3350 Beach Electronic' is an
exhilarating first flurry. Splitradix tracks are cut with a bevvy of analogue
hardware, and as such it's no surprise that the track is alive with the sound
of busy machinery. Beginning with a squelching Fenix synth, we soon find
multiple melody lines coalesce into a melodious melange. Synths chatter and
sparkle, counter-melodies slip-side around the bass, and bright, welcoming

The
Mighty Diamonds are among Jamaica’s greatest - ever vocal trios, which is
quite an accolade considering that the competition includes the Wailers,
Heptones, early Burning Spear and Culture. After making their breakthrough at
Channel One and then reaching a wider audience on Virgin’s Frontline label,
Fitzroy “Bunny” Simpson, Lloyd “Judge” Ferguson and lead singer Donald
“Tabby” Shaw continued writing and recording long after their seventies’
heyday and not least for London’s Ruff Cutt band, based in NW10 and led by
guitarist/producer Tony “Crucial” Philips. During the late nineties, after
many years spent backing visiting Jamaican artists and playing studio
sessions for other producers, Ruff Cutt revamped their own label and got
serious. A string of well - produced roots and lovers rock singles followed -
some highlighting UK reggae talent, and others featuring big name Jamaican
artists such as Freddie McGregor, Mykal Rose and Beres Hammond. The Mighty
Diamonds fit in the latter category and Ruff Cutt release d two singles with
them in 1999/2000, White Squall and this album’s title track. Both were
immediately hailed by fans who rejoiced at hearing the Diamonds in such
revolutionary mood. Those songs now make their return here alongside three
previously unreleased tracks from the same sessions, and all five are
accompanied by matching dubs that were a match for anything coming from
Jamaica at the time. Over twenty years later and better days have come at
last, for fans of the Diamonds and top quality nineties’ roots music |

Acclaimed
US DJ and producer Maceo Plex has announced the release of his long awaited
studio album ‘Solar’. The climax to a lead up that included last year’s
7-track ‘Journey to Solar’, and 2015’s 2 track ‘Solar Sampler’, ‘Solar’ is
due for release on his brand new label Lone Romantic on the 16th June. Lone
Romantic is a new electronica based label; it will focus on albums and will
also open its doors to releasing more avant guard and leftfield singles.
Meanwhile, the ‘Solar’ album allows Maceo to utilise the long format to
explore and expose his less explicitly club leaning and more reflective side,
taking the listener on a journey through shades of electronica, techno,
breakbeats, dub and more. Named after his son Solar, the album also
chronicles his new found fatherhood; “the ups and downs in the first few
years and its effects on life, marriage and more”. There’s still dancefloor
suitable music within the album; opener ‘Sparks of Light’’s propulsive drums
make for an attention grabbing first track, just as the driving 4/4 bassline
of closing track ‘The Tesseract’ is a memorable climax. ’Polygon Pulse’ also
features the hefty low end that Maceo has become known for, yet underneath
breakbeat style drums and sighing vocal snippets. Vocals are a prominent
defining feature of ‘Solar’ that mark it out as a departure towards more of a
home listening, experimental album. ‘Indigo’ marries Maceo’s characteristic
signature sounds with a slower tempo and gritty male vocals for a stirring,
downbeat piece of indie electronica, whilst following track ‘Separation’s
breathy vocals and subtle DnB cymbals feel more relaxed. ‘Kepler’s Journey’
marks a stylistic break midway through the album, before the vocoded vocals
of ‘Solar Wind’ and ‘Wash Away My Tears’ (the 12” mix of which was included
in the Solar Sampler) bring to mind a forward thinking, indie take on French
touch. Elsewhere, the lilting, dub techno influenced ‘Swan Dive’ sees this
effect take on a more eery, thoughtful tone. The release of ‘Solar’ sees
Maceo Plex enter a new, more developed chapter of his long career - taking
the sounds that have made him so popular and building upon them to push
himself forward artistically, the album is a very personal use of the long
format and an education in the producer’s musical influences |

Beltram and Mundo Muzique) are 2 legendary producers whose output shaped an
entire generation of ravers, DJs and producers minds. 'Mentasm / Mind To
Mind' is one such influential release, literally creating new styles, new
directions and impacting on dance music for decades to come. Unique
programming and fresh sounds made their records stand out head and shoulders
above everyone else's output. 'Mentasm' particularly broke ground with it's
now infamous 'hoover sound', influencing house, techno and trance music to
come and even spilling over into the nascent hardcore, jungle and D&B
scenes where it was often imitated or sampled by producers who wanted that
ruff, visceral feel for their own tracks, but didn't know how to create it
themselves. A new energy was born and it emanated from this milestone
12". 'Mind To Mind' on the flipside is equally as deadly, but in a
deeper, more spaced out realm it maneuvers and pulls into a trippy early
morning space, the yin to 'Mentasm's yang. This is a quintessential techno

album was recorded live and direct at the Boma studio’s in Ghent during a
five days session in December 2014. Production was deliberately kept to a
minimum to preserve the atmosphere during the performance and to honor the
spirit of the old blues recordings which are an infinite source of true
inspiration. All song written and performed by Tiny Legs Tim. Guitars and
