The
third compilation EP to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the establishment
is [Coastal Haze] under the umbrella of [Church], an up-and-coming duo from
New Zealand, Manuel Darquart, released on [Wolf Music] and others. The
long-awaited first vinyl version of the popular song released digitally only
in 2016. The dense sound world with a wide range, including the impressive
synth bass that penetrates the song, is unique to vinyl release. Including
mastering by Mr. KUNIYUKI, this work that realized a thick groove that is
different from the time of digital sound source, there is no doubt that it
will shake the entire space. The up-and-coming French beatdown house S3A,
whose long-awaited first album from [Dirt Crew] was well received. It's no
wonder that he grew up listening to Detroit house, and his unique sense of
exquisite combination of sleezy beats, muffled texture and breathing such as
disco funk is an excellent work. The space is gradually filled with layers of
euphoria that folds down, and the feeling of exhilaration and sophistication

Back in the '60s Bournemouth, not
particularly well known for its music, was 'swinging' and at the centre of
the local scene was Zoot Money-s Big Roll Band, a jazz, R&B and
blues-inspired combo powered by the eccentric behaviour and tuneful keyboards
of Zoot Money who'd, by 1964, drafted in future Police guitarist Andy
Summers. Zoot, was a local scenester whose move to London became legendary
through his tight trousers which occasionally split in a pre-PJ Proby moment |

label "Microfunk Music". The first release contains 4 minimalistic
tunes, starting from the chill autonomic moods and the lovely nostalgic arpeggio
of "Telescope" written by Bop and Synkro, moving to Nuage's fragile
synths and luscious summer vocals, followed by a warm analogue bass in
"Endless Green". In addition to these beautiful sounds, Microfunk
Crew includes the more energetic, fit for the dance floor drum&bass with
strong juke and ambient influences of "Crab Nebula". The EP is
perfectly completed by Dissident with his kind and even slightly infantile
soundscapes in "Design Yourself". This vinyl record is a great
introduction to the label's unique sound. Each song has its own character and
tells a specific story; however the wholepiece sounds very organic and will

The BALANS roster is growing
evermore internationally with fresh Moscow signing Nphonix. The Russian
producer made big waves in the global Drum & Bass and Dubstep scene, but
is no stranger to juke, acid and techno as he proven on previous releases. His
different background provides him with a fresh angle on classic techno,
pushing the envelope for the genre in a manner we love. For the Benway EP’s
title track, a coop with fellow Russian producer Apobothra, the term ‘monster
track’ is an understatement. The slow, careful build up doesn’t prepare the
unweary listener for the wall of sound that’s yet to come. After the drop
Benway evolves into a relentless tornado, destroying everything in it’s sonic
path. Black Acid and Nebrakada on the flip are have the same sonic signature,
but are more trippy by nature. Both tunes reveal Nphonix dubstep background
135-140 bpm tempos, without losing any of their funk through pulsating bass
grooves |

Zaki
Dee, Rob Mello and Luke Solomon present Heaven and Earth! We know, we know,
the current re-issue wave of classic house music platters is a bit much -
especially the unlawful ones with photocopied artwork. But that is already
one reason to do it the proper way. The other one is the fine aural pleasures
Luke and the likes delivered on this one back in 1995. Originally released on
the seminal Prescription imprint through the channels of Chez Damier and Ron
Trent, the British Heaven & Earth project is a rather special one. While
“Space and Time” (here available in a previously unreleased re-edit that gets
by without the Peter-Daou-like-solo) pays tribute to the archetypal and
contemplative sounds of Damier/Trent, “Prescription Every Night” draws of the
attention to the formative years of dance music, i.e. disco elements (see old
Azuli records for further reference). These very notions haven’t lost an iota
of their usefulness and veracity, nor have they ever left the RB record bag.

electronica works as CiM with a deluxe reissue of his 2000 debut album
Reference. Spanning 24 beautifully crafted miniatures, this is one of the
definitive overviews of Walley's intimate, introspective electro-techno
sound. From the crunch of bit-crushed drums to dreamy, swooning pads,
everything in the CiM soundworld feels positively considered and elegant. His
music has attracted a devoted following from those immersed in the world of
deep techno and electronica. The concise run times of his musical ideas
ensures there's not an inch of plastic wasted on elongated intros or endless
repetition. That said, fitting the whole of Reference onto one disc for the
original deFocus pressing was something of a squeeze, with some tracks
reserved for the CD only. With this newly mastered pressing, all 24 tracks
are present across two 12"s, giving Walley's peerless sound more room to
breathe. Delsin and sister label Ann Aimee have a relationship with Walley
that reaches back to the late 90s, and they picked the thread of
communication up last year with timely reissues of the Service Pack and
Series Two EPs. Earlier in 2021, Delsin also released Unselected ProTracker
Mods, a collection of previously unreleased archival works from a furtive but
undoubtedly prolific artist |

New
album of Berlin based French multi-instrumentalist and electro rocker, Fred
Bigot. Fuzz guitars, synths, drum boxes, and two incredible covers of
classics, Dancing in the street and Bad moon rising as you have never heard
them! Electronicat is the alias of Fred Bigot. Wild Animal is his 8th studio
album. In 2014, working on a sound performance just using the human voice and
guitar recreating a road trip he had undertaken across the USA in 2011, he
invested in a piece of almost forgotten and rather cumbersome analogue
equipment: a talk box, the ideal tool to generate unpredictable results,
giving the music a more organic, unruly nature. Back in his studio in
Neukölln, and with his project Electronicat in mind, he began his
experiments, combining the talk box with the multitude of instruments
available including a fantastic range of old synths and keyboards. The result
was 10 songs, two of which were cover versions. Soon after, Fred began work
on a new project 'The Magic Ray' and his talk box experiments were put to one
side. Come 2020, a new studio in north Berlin and the first pandemic
lockdown: while sorting and sifting through recordings, Fred rediscovered
these 10 songs, this Wild Animal described by one Ian Svenonius as "the
king of the jungle cats, king of electro-beat rock'n'roll music. Still
sleazy, still dangerous, still mysterious, Electronicat is the final stand of
sound in the dead-end cul-de-sac road to nowhere that rock'n' roll music has
found itself stuck at. Electronicat is the only hope for a way out.

The
Monsters formed in 1986 in Bern, Switzerland as an alternative to the popular
music of the time (i.e. Disco, Pop, Top 40 Rock). Mixing rockabilly with punk
rock and garage, their brand of Teenage Primitive Rock n' Roll Chainsaw
Massacre Garage Trash has kept them as an in demand punk rock band touring
the world playing festivals and large halls as far east as Japan, south as
Brazil, north as Scandinavia, and west as New York City. And then 2020 hit,
YAHOO!!! The world went into a complete lockdown and everyone-s plans
changed! With no touring in the near future, the time was now to write a new
album so the band dedicated two weeks to going to their practice space to
write new music and another two weeks at Bern's Shirt Off Studio to record.
Voila! Here you have Rosemary-s Baby in your hand> 13 raw, loud, and
splatter sounding tracks recorded live on the fly with no overdubs, vocals
only. Lyrically, the album is a complete disaster with 120 words comprising
the whole thing and hell, the words on this LP sometimes don-t make any
sense! It-s actually complete rubbish with how they sing but we love it!

collaborate with Hector Oaks, 999999999, Keith Tucker (AKA Optic Nerve),
Amelie Lens, Rebekah, AnD & Perc, for a new five part Soma Records
project LOUDER THAN CHAOS. On March 2020 the world was abruptly thrown into
collective disarray. The Pandemic stopped almost everything dead in its
tracks. No social gatherings, self isolation, a sense of panic and
bewilderment prevailed. An industry that had become so dependent on human
connection and unity, was suddenly switched off and put on pause for an
unforeseeable future. It was in this climate that The Louder Than Chaos
project was born, facilitated by Soma Records head honchos and techno
protagonists Slam. A collaborative project with friends, colleagues and
contemporaries normally only seen at airports, or events, now brought
together under a completely different set of circumstances, allowing for a
purposeful connection in a time of disconnect. The focus of the project is
built on a powerful mutual participation, remotely constructed over time and
fully intended for holding court on peak time dance floors when they
inevitably return. That time has now finally come. The Louder Than Chaos
project is a series of 5 releases, on 12 vinyl" & Digital, to be

Gordon
Koang is a fountain of warmth and joy, immediately accepting any stranger who
strays into his presence. With a beaming smile that is unfettered by
blindness, a condition he has lived with since birth, Gordon welcomes any and
all around him, encouraging them to sit for a while and chat, maybe even to
share a song. Originating from the Nile Valley in what is now South Sudan,
Koang was born blind and began playing music from an early age, busking on
the streets of Juba and producing his own self-released CD-R’s and cassettes,
before becoming a crowd favourite and recording a series of singles and music
videos celebrating South Sudan’s cultural wealth. His music went viral,
spreading throughout the country, and Koang was invited to perform at everything
from weddings and political rallies to church meetings and parties alike. His
reputation quickly grew as the poet and homegrown hero of the Nuer people,
sometimes called the ‘Michael Jackson of South Sudan’. In 2013, while Koang
was performing to expatriate Nuer communities in Australia, renewed conflict
broke out at home. He made a difficult and heartbreaking decision to not
return to Sudan, applying to the Australian government for humanitarian
protection. After six long years of waiting, living in a foreign country far
away from his family, he now proudly calls himself an ‘Australian’, and
eagerly awaits the day he will rejoin his wife and children in safety. Unity
is, remarkably, Gordon’s eleventh full-length album, and his first since
coming to Australia. It is his only recorded output in a painstakingly long
six years of living as an asylum seeker, mostly recorded in the last winter
months of 2019, when Gordon began performing with local musicians through the
Music in Exile label. The album was completed just weeks before Gordon was
awarded his permanent residency. He could have had no way of knowing, and yet
there is no frustration in the songs, not a shred of impatience or anger -
only Gordon’s unending positivity, his love of all people and of the world he
has never seen |

Scottish
producer Austin Ato has been making waves the last couple of years having had
well received releases on Futureboogie and Phonica White and this year looks
to be his best yet! Remixes for Folamour on Classic, Balako on Greco Roman
and an EP for Man Power's label Me Me Me will be dropping in the coming
weeks, paving the way for his Delusions Of Grandeur debut double A side; Ella
/ Putting It In My Way. On Ella we see Austin deliver some pure,
unadulterated, house pleasure over eight minutes (although for us it feels
like it could go on for days!). A filtering disco loop, synth melody, string
stabs, all reinforced by punchy drums and that all important vocal chop. A
simple recipe for a track when cooked up in the right way with love, passion
and experience. Flipping over to the AA, Putting It In My Way drops in
somewhat bipolar fashion, a barrage of percussive beats and rolling snares
building to a drop where Austin Ato skilfully switches the vibe completely,
bringing in deep pads, rolling bassline and his own inimitable vocals. A
totally unique track which harks back to the good old days when house music
had a soulful and musical touch which connected instantly with the dance
floor. This feels to us like a producer marking his arrival as an artist to
watch closely for, and whose talent extends way beyond the confines of your
standard four on the floor fodder. Closing the release we have an
Instrumental Version of Putting It In My Way which may well be your choice
for the deeper moments, letting the groove push to the fore and the lush
chords shine through the haze of dubby stabs and twisting synth line |

Hawkes is an alter ego adopted by long time electronic music producer Mark
Hawkins, founded for his house music focussed activities. Hawkins decided it
was time for a reboot after being head-hunted by old friends Dan Monox and
Kenny Wasp, who had just founded Dixon Avenue Basement Jams in 2012,
particularly as the material differed from what he'd previously released.
Hawkins solidified his sound during this period, taking influence from house
music's Chicago, Detroit and New York home bases alongside the UK's deep
house sound. Fusing these styles with contemporary production values, he
developed a style synonymous with his Marquis Hawkes alias. Whilst branching
out to release on other labels like Clone and Cremé Organisation, he caught
the attention of London club fabric's artist-led label, Houndstooth. They
signed him on a long term deal, giving visibility to his DJ profile that
meant he could play music full-time. In 2016 his debut album 'Social Housing'
was released to critical acclaim, and the following year, a stellar string of
releases on Will Saul's AUS Music label culminated in the ubiquitous club and
festival hit, 'The Basement Is Burning'. A track inspired by Hawkins' own
shocking experience of a fire in his apartment block, it was played heavily
on radio across the summer of 2018. Looking forward, this new 12' EP for
Houndstooth under the Hawkes alias is scheduled for release on June 29th, and
features a vocal collaboration withUrsula Rucker, Hawkins is also pursuing
other music projects and identities, some known, like his Juxta Position
project, which he uses for more industrial but groove based techno material,
but others which are more incognito, and may well remain as such |

Co. continues into 2018 with Stephan Bazbaz & Asael Weiss’s ‘Only’ EP, a
three tracker equipped with two original productions, complimented further
via a remix from FUSE’s very own Rossko. Lead track ‘Only’, a collaborative
effort between Bazbaz & Weiss, kicks things off with decidedly a stripped
back sonic palette, rich in analogue warmth. Sparkling keys bounce off
tripped-out atmospheres, as steady rolling beats and subs push the track
onwards. The EP continues with Rossko’s ‘Only’ reinterpretation, an extremely
accomplished debut remix that deftly draws from the original’s blissed out
musicality, with renewed razor-sharp focus on low-end theory and percussive
weight. A promising sign of things to come for this recently indoctrinated
producer. Bazbaz closes off the package with ‘Tagzimi’, a solo endeavor that
sees modulating dub chords trade blows with snappy percussion and rich pads,
a beautifully constructed roller destined for long form sets during the early
hours. Landing in June, the ‘Only’ EP is set to be a staple feature in the

In the early 90's Oscar G and
Ralph Falcon AKA Murk unleashed a series of 12' singles that single-handedly
put Miami on the House Music map. The Murk sound combined a deep, tribal
drum-based rhythm track with strong house/R&B vocal performances, and it
sounded like nothing that was out back then. While many other producers have
tried to recreate the Murk Sound, nobody else has been able to match their
