drops the first remix package from his debut album featuring Slam, PTU and
Boston 168. Involve Records boss Regal presents "RWYS Remixes
Pt.01" - the first installment of three immense remix packages from the
Spanish techno giant's debut album, "Remember Why You Started".
Recruiting international powerhouse duo's Slam, PTU & Boston 168 to
rework the earth-shattering originals. Scotland's luminary duo Slam kicks off
with their edit of "She Dances Alone". The pair's distinctive tweak
is the alchemization of the kick drum, pivoting into a thunderous force. The
kick is paired with claps that ricochet above a determined synth line, while
the low-slung baseline mists under twinkling keys and sprinklings of hoover
noise, giving the rework an old school feel. Uplifting major notes inject
brightness & contrast to the track, with the cunning acid line lingering
'til close. Next, enigmatic Russian twosome PTU transform "Dealing With
My Pain", a once low tempo mid-point track, into a primary dancefloor
weapon. This heavily industrialised rendition utilises an incessantly deep
bass drum while maintaining the commanding male vocal sample. Blistering
hi-hats, and a wildly distorted synth breakdown build a brash and dubious
mood. The thumping kick drum drives the track forward, looping electrical
elements that ring out from ear to ear, surrounding you with wild noise and
energy. Italy's acid techno aficionado's Boston 168 step up to close with
their interpretation of "Fearful Nights". In true style, the duo
mould the very start of the track to blend with their signature sound. A
bumping kick drum and quintessential 303 manipulate the melody, resulting in
a far more venomous composition than the original. Sinister synth stabs slice
through the chaos with a hi-hat and snare drum combination for extra effect |

Wait
Long by the River and the Bodies of Your Enemies Will Float By" is the
second album released by the Drones. The album draws influence from the likes
of Neil Young and The Birthday Party, though it has been described by lead
singer/guitarist Gareth Liddiard himself as a punk rock album. The lyrics,
penned by Liddiard, deal with issues such as death, depression and alcoholism
in its depiction of Australian working-class life. The album received
critical acclaim upon release, regarded later on as the band's
"break-out" and one of their most popular releases. The track
"Shark Fin Blues", in particular, went on to become a concert
staple and was voted by contemporary Australian songwriters as the greatest
Australian song of all time in October 2009. The album itself was performed
live in its entirety many times, even as a part of the acclaimed Don't Look
Back concert series. In 2008, The Age ranked it the best Australian album of
the 21st century. Three years later, the band's contemporaries &
"industry experts" would vote it the 24th best Australian album of
all time |

in stock! Cheapest price! Nitro are an Heavy Metal band from Pennsylvania
formed in 1979.They recorded in 1981 the songs that were featured in the 1982
independent release s&t 10@EP on the Red Dog label. This record to day is
very popular among traditional U.S. Metal collectors and after a massive
press bombardment *Kerrang, Enfer, Sounds, etc.( in 1983 Belgian label
Mausoleum Records released Nitro ] II LP *with two excusive bonus tracks(.
All these songs and other unreleased from the same sessions were released on
CD aptly titled @Lethal Dose@ in 2013 on Skol Records, house of many other
great CD reissues such as Taist of Iron, Dammaj, Crowhaven, etc. The band
took a break in 1986 and in 87 they recorded what was to be their follow/up
to Lethal]II. The album was never finished since these were pre/production
tapes but with modern technology and a good mastering they sound great like
any classic underground 80-s U.S. Metal record. So what we have here is a
never released album on any format until now, from the glory days of Heavy
Metal by these Pennsylvania Metal sons. Sounding like early Twisted Sister,
Wild Dogs, early Anvil, The Rods, etc., this is going to shake the U.S. Metal
collectors world! The band is back again and they recorded one new track
called @Uranium@ back in 2012 which is included as a bonus track. This is a
teaser for what-s coming next. Nitro are here again for another lethal dose! |

Zobol’s ‘Mirage’ is A record
reflecting on the miss-information flying around our planet these days. It
makes you think, what is right, wrong, transparent and guised? What is real
and what is deception? The A-side begins with ‘No Disguise’ consisting of booming
broken kick drums and elements of positively charged future funk. The A-side
concludes with the gritty, dubbed out percussion and hazy melancholia of
‘Clarity’. The flip-side opens with the title track, ‘Mirage’ bringing
aspects of electro, funk, acid and braindance to the table. Dubbed out
chords, mysterious arpeggios and scattered percussion laid over a funky
bassline. The release is concluded with a remarkable remix of ‘Mirage’ from
the one and only, Nullptr. Who reimagines the original, taking it in a darker
but equally mysterious direction. Believe half of what you see and nothing

Motion. This percussion trio brings together musicians Simon Leleux (Fabrizio

a sound universe that does not knows any limits. From Senegal to Eastern
Europe, from Brazil to India, from the classical conservatory to nomadic
people, it is nourished by all their influences that Hands in Motion juggles
with the codes of tradition to create a new space of expression, resolutely
current and innovative. Minimalist sound layers, captivating grooves, acoustic
trance, their music is organic, contrasting, deep and subtle at the same
time. They alternately create melodies and textures that might as well make

Earlando Arrington Neil became
Early B on the Jamaican sound system scene, working his way through Soul
Imperial, King Majesty and other sets before coming to prominence in the
early 1980s on Kilimajaro, where he became known as 'The Doctor' for unleashing
his lyrical cures on the mic. Recording for various producers from 1981,
Early B reached another level upon linking with deejay-turned-producer Jah
Thomas in 1984, the humorous hit unday Dish' leading to this explosive LP of
the same name, an enduring classic of early dancehall that also features the

Bézier
returns to Dark Entries with Valencia, a six track rumination on memory,
geography, and transmutation. Multi-instrumentalist Robert Yang’s Bézier
project has appeared on Dark Entries many times over the last decade, most
recently with the 2018 LP Parler Musique. Says Yang, “What started as a
project to investigate the love of the sound and scenery while living in San
Francisco quickly developed into a passionate search for interlocking melodies and driving rhythms.”
On Valencia, Bézier invokes twinned places. The Valencia Street of San
Francisco is channeled, which was the center of the city’s vibrant new wave
scene in the 1980s. But also echoed is Valencia, Spain, and La Ruta del
Bakalao aka La Ruta Destroy, the Spanish clubbing scene throughout the 80s
and 90s famed for its aggressive and synthetic sounds. Valencia is a darker
record for Yang, exploring themes of submission and catharsis with nods to
SF’s gay leather bars of the 70s and 80s. The high BPM salvos of “Valencia”
and “Scrupulous” capture the frantic energy of Bakalao and Valencian wave
acts like Última Emoción. Elsewhere Yang mines the dreamy space disco and
Hi-NRG sounds they’re known for, like on the brooding “Past the Marshes” or
the anthemic “Reservoir”, which features their partner Len.Leo on vocals.
Bézier deftly navigates past and present, light and dark, pain and pleasure,
the stasis of memory and the flux of time. Valencia was mastered by Alex
Michalski, with EQ for vinyl done by George Horn. Gwenaël Rattke designed the
sleeve, which features an 80’s punk zine-esque geometric grid pattern
mirroring San Francisco street maps. Also included is a 5x7 postcard with
notes |

12" from the Philadelphia International stable and an artist who's
records never go out of date! This is a killer double-sided beauty with the
frenetic and jazzy "Life On Mars" from his debut 1976 album on the top-side
and the mellow all-time classic and soul boy anthem "The Sweetest
Pain" from 1979 on the flip. Two very different sides of a great artist,
both of which show the level of diversity that he was capable of producing.
The last legitimate release of this was back 1999 and a Mint copy will
currently set you back circa £50, if you can
ever find one. Word of warning: there are some U.S. bootlegs from 2008
that still appear to be in circulation and which are easy to spot since they
use the U.S. silver P.I.R. label. We are currently getting these taken down
and hopefully they'll soon be removed from the marketplace. Accept no

Young LA star, Justin Jay, has
already caught the ears of DJs and fans worldwide and released on the likes
of dirtybird and Culprit. Last year, Jay shared an EP of deep house gold on
Shall Not Fade sister label Lost Palms. Now he returns on their bass-oriented
sublabel Time Is Now. Hypnotized EP is a fun, breaks heavy romp featuring

Lunatica
Borghesia sees emerging Italian producer KOKO come into his powers in a
6-track EP which, at times seems suited to accompany a blissful reverie, and
at others a rave in a rainforest. Either way, Lunatica Borghesia is about
escaping. The first two tracks capture deep house in its truest essence: at
once meditative, melancholic and serene.The blissed-out piano chords and
cymbal strokes "You can't buy luxury" lend the opening track a
nocturnal jazz feel which is carried through to "Ego Borghese"
where it is heightened by the melodic cries of a saxophone. Instrumentation
maintains its primacy in "Listening to Some Impala in Coventry" as
staccato flutes guide the subtle bongo-sounding percussion which gives the
track its swing. The next two tracks - "9,99EU" and
"Pegasus" - are for the dance floor. Whilst the synth-driven melody
and acid undertones of "9,99EU" sees the EP at its most retro, the
final track "Tradizione Tradimento" is a brilliantly modern take on
garage house which lets the listener settle back into the groove after being
rowsed by "Pegasus" driving pulse |

"The
Beast Within" is the new album by Brazilian artist, Diego Garcia;
exploring gender identities within contemporary electronic music. The artist
uses two of their distinguished artistic identities: The Princess of Death,
her feminine identity - where there is an exploration of a more introspective
and corrosive textures commonly associated with patriarchal values; and
Projekt Gestalten, his masculine identity - where melodic and hypnotic
sounds, often associated with matriarchy, are emphasized. In this project,
Diego's aim is to dichotomize their gender identities inspired by a
point-and-click adventure game from the 90's called "Gabriel Knight 2 -
The Beast Within". The story was written by American game designer, Jane
Jensen with original music composed by her husband, Robert Holmes. The
protagonist is on the trail of a strange wolf, murderer of a little girl.
Gabriel was asked to take care of this evil and suspects that this case is
paranormal in nature. Together with his assistant, Grace Nakimura, he
discovers the dark truth behind the history of Bavaria. The gameplay
alternates between Gabriel and Grace and its storyline is only explored
indirectly by Diego - as it is deeply connected with their childhood and
formative years and still remains as one of their all-time favorite games.
Just like in the gameplay, Diego alternates between both of their feminine
and masculine identities in order to create original pieces of music. As
Projekt Gestalten, an array of dance tracks are functionally presented;
ranging from melodic and trippy to club-ready driving techno; dissecting a
more rational aspect of the game's storyline. In contrast, The Princess of
Death goes into an ambient and experimental approach; exploring liturgical themes
that includes a dark and dystopian cover of the traditional gospel song
"When The Saints Go Marching In", a song that is featured
throughout the whole franchise of the game in many different versions. In the
end, the gender polarizing concept is extrapolated and both aliases are
finally merged into one another; leading to the Gestalt principle, alluded to
in Diego's main alias, being fully applied as a whole. The project's ultimate
goal is to challenge preconceived notions of how a specific gender should
sound/behave and to explore light/dark, sacred/secular, good/evil,
male/female using, as the blueprint, a gender-neutral game where the player
is forced to assume a feminine and a masculine role in order to navigate
through the story. All of these ideas are perfectly aligned with Diego's own
trajectory as an artist and their distinct artistic identities featuring
distorted gender values - which comes full circle in this project |

"How does it feel to
reminisce? That was something I wanted to try to capture in soundwaves. I
tend to reminisce a lot. About the good and bad parts in the past, and
everything in between. I try to remember which specific parts in my life made
me who I am today. Thinking about those events is going to make me feel a
certain way, and i wanted to try to convert these feelings into songs.
Reminiscing to me, is also a very visual experience in my head. So I decided
to take sounds that were close to me from the past and make something
cinematic that still works as a full song. I've been using a lot of
granulated sounds, which is almost like a shattered memory reconstructed into
a new one, as your feelings can change recovering the same memory. So you can

Girls makes his eagerly awaited return to the Shall Not Fade catalog with a
4-track tribute to the early-hours ravers. With skittering drums, synth
plucks and peppers of whimsical vocals, When U Call EP captures a sound at
once blissfully nostalgic to 90s rave, and boldly forward-facing in its
mutation of today's scene-defining sounds of UK Bass. Although barely
discernible underneath off-kilter synth stabs and squelching drums,
Burial-esque vocal chops do their best to haunt the title track, colouring it
with both a sense of melancholy and deliverance. On that same note, enter
"OCB". Its stripped-back successor is equally as moody yet somewhat
more modest with a mournful melody and minimal drums. The aptly-named
"Start Over" welcomes a switch in mood. With high-pitched staccato
vocals and an up-beat drum pattern, its trancey-tempered quality is not a
million miles away from the music of Overmono. Finally, listeners of the EP's
closer "Move With Me" need little more than the title's instruction
as its 150 BPM and pop-adjacent vocals do all the talking. When U Call EP

series. By no means newcomers to the scene, since releasing their debut EP in
2014, Daniel Leseman and Hans Peeman have become known for their joyous
blends of house, disco and funk. Whilst maintaining these stylistic
sensibilities, as well as an emphasis on fun and festivity, Paradise EP sees
the duo experiment with instrumentation to create intricately crafted and
richly layered soundscapes. Most aptly embodying this is the title track
which weaves together various percussive textures underneath staccato piano

It's been a while since we did something on
our subdivision Petite. You know, this is where we like to re-release those
forgotten pearls, with a new remix on the flip. This time we chose Kinda
Kickin' by DJ Boom, which is in fact a collaboration between Matthew Herbert
and Charles Webster. The original vinyl goes for over 110eur on Discogs and
is a longtime favourite of ours.
Strangely enough not too many people seem to know about this house
gem. On remix duties this time someone very close to the label (and our
hearts) since the first collaboration in 2007 for 'Acid Bells'. Efdemin
recently delivered what is maybe his best album to date and also this remix
for Kinda Kickin' is absolutely superb. Enjoy |
