Regal
shares the final remix EP of his debut album, "RWYS Remixes Pt.03".
With reworks from Alignment, Thomas P.Heckmann, ¦asstnt & Roll Dann, Sita
Abellan & the Involve Records head himself. Regal's "Remember Why
You Started" LP faces its final rework. The last package welcomes Regal
and Sita Abellan, Thomas P.Heckmann, ¦asstnt & Roll Dann and Alignment to
shine their production skills to the Spanish techno luminaries first album.
Regal & multi-faceted Spanish artist Sita Abellan collaborated for the
rework of "Cult Of Personality". Their rendering leans heavily into
the realm of electro, with heavily distorted synth lines marching through
like a freight train. Darting keys rush and reverberate back upon themselves
before a powerful female vocal sample takes over from the male voice that
commanded the original. Germany's Thomas P Heckmann takes on "Before I
Die". Heavier and beefier than the original, the kick drum and baseline
of Heckmann's remix take control and dominate the landscape. He retains Pau's
distinct vocals, leaving a familiar dash of the original in this bolder
rework. Percussion takes a front seat in this version, with snare drums and
cymbals combating the bitter main synth melody. Straight from Madrid's
underground scene are producers ¦asstnt & Roll Dann, who team up for the
remix of "Respect". A cut up, distorted rework that grows darker
and more robust throughout. Bottomless kick drums ring out, while a heavily distorted
electric guitar sample brings grime and a sonic haze to the track |

St Louis Lumpy and the Dumpers
delivers their first mini album, after a string of seven inches and tapes
which gained them worldwide recognition among the hordes of misfits lovers of
slimy bad punk musik. Nine tracks of snotty punk driven by one of the crudest
guitars tones heard by these ears in a long time. The songs flow seamlessly,
the lyrics are sharp and full of vile and stick in your brain like any
classic punk should. The album includes their own classic take on -Loony- the
B/Side of the 1978 by Slime from London which feels both a statement and a
re/appropiation of a song which could have easily being written by the
Dumpers if it hadn-t existed. In fewer words this is a magnificent gross

Reiner Witzel is a German Jazz
musician born in Mannheim. He is said to be one of the best Jazz/sax/players
nowadays and won several awards. Reiner Witzel worked with well/respected
artists amongst others Defunkt New Yorker Knitting Factory, with Fela Kuti
Shrine in Lagos, in Jazz Clubs of Tokyo and stadiums in Dubai. Moreover he
played with the Bundesjazzorchester, Philipp van Endert *Urban Lyrical(, the
Gil Evans Orchestra, Marla Glen, Kristi Stassinopoulou, the hr/Bigband and
Fury in the Slaughterhouse. Besides his work as a musician he is also busy as

Tyneside's
Warfare are widely considered to have been the original metal punks. The band
was formed by drummer Evo in late 1983. Evo had learned his trade in
legendary Oi! Band Major Accident from Darlington. Leaving Major Accident Evo
moved to London and briefly joined The Blood *whose »False Gestures For A
Devious Public« is a classic early crossover&metal album, which peaked at
number 62 in the official UK charts in 1983(. Before creating his own
monster, Evo also had a short spell drumming for the Angelic Upstarts, one of
the original British oi! bands *from South Shields(. However, in late 1983 it
was time for Evo to form his own band. Together with Gunner on guitar and
Falken on bass Warfare was formed. The album »Metal Anarchy> The Original
Metal/Punk Sessions« is the last in this three/part series released by High
Roller Records and collects eight early Warfare recordings of songs such as
"Electric Mayhem", "Warfare", "Psycho Express",
"Military Shadow" and "Disgrace". All eight songs later
ended up on the proper »Metal Anarchy« album issued by Neat Records in 1985
*with former Motörhead guitarist Würzel lending a guest performance on the
title track(. However, the versions to be found on »The Original Metal/Punk
Sessions« are vastly different, often played much faster than on the original
album. Some of the songs have even been recorded on 24 tracks. In Kerrang!
magazine Dane Bonutto wrote about Warfare> "This lot are like the
guys who in 1977 grew their hair a bit longer than the guys who were into the
Pistols and decided to play heavy metal, but it's the same kind of mentality
behind it really, even down to the title. There is a market for this kind of
thing." Although an official VHS tape of live footage was released later
on, Warfare did not tour an awful lot following the release of »Metal
Anarchy« on Neat Records. Evo explains> "I was too dangerous and cost
the record company far too much money when I did go out live, setting our
vans and promoters on fire, pissing in amps, smashing people's faces in,
draining pigs of blood to throw at audiences. Just the usual things."
Having been asked time and time again, Evo ends all rumours of Warfare
reforming once and for all> "Warfare will never be resumed |

Bringing together the undisputed
talents of Nigerian percussionist Aleke Kanonu and soul legend from Alabama,
O.C. Tolbert, this 12' created quite the buzz when it was released in New
York in 1982. Shops and leading DJs were clamouring for it, but short supply
saw it disappear into obscurity. The A-side, 'Happiness' is an uptown style
Gospel ballad where Tolbert's gravelly, soulful voice channels years of hurt
an pain. The B-side, 'Nwanne, Nwanne, Nwanne', is an Afrobeat disco monster
that rattles along on the back of Kananu's awesome percussion skills. Both
tracks were written and produced by Jack Taylor, a producer, songwriter and
purported gangster from Harlem and released on his own label. This reissue
comes courtesy of the good folk of PMG, purportedly cool guys, based in

The
Apostles were disciples of a heavy kind of psychedelic soul/rock fusion.
After The Funkees left for London, they stepped into the breach to become the
champions of East Nigeria's flourishing post-war music scene. Based in Aba,
and led by guitarist and charismatic chancer Walton Arungwa, they laid down a
couple of singles with the city's newly-formed BEN label. EMI liked what they
heard and in 1976 whisked the band to Lagos to record The Apostles with the
legendary Emmanual Odenusi at the controls. A heavy mix of wailing guitar,
swirling organ and James Brown-style vocals, it became a fixture in every
east Nigerian home. 'Never Too Late' sets the stage with a scorching lead
break that most believe was played by guitar-slinger-for-hire, Felix 'Feladay'
Odey. Drummer Joel Madubuike and bass player Henry Tandu lay down the rock
solid groove for Benji Davidson's righteous organ lines in 'Inflation' and
'Highway to Success.' And each is invested with an urgency from
battle-hardened vocals of Chyke Fussion, a vetran of the Biafra war. Don't be
fooled by the angelic white outfits worn on the cover of The Apostles. These
guys were BAD. And 'Never Too Late' could well be the best Afro Rock song
ever recorded |

fifth and final studio album by New York noise rock band The Honeymoon
Killers, originally released in 1991 and is now remastered in order to
achieve the extreme sound desired for this band. The Honeymoon Killers
recorded this album picking up 2/3 of the nascent Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
and it meant a Sonic evolution to the band in the way to get the original
Honeymoon Killers sound adding slicks of Pussy Galore and The Blues

Records serves up a celebration of The Hague's famous electro sound with
native Cliff Dalton aka Sander Evers behind four originals and fellow West
Coast legends Legowelt and Rude66 both remixing. Cliff Dalton is a relatively
new project from a long-time Dutch music great. Sander Evers is the drummer
in psychedelic stoner rock band Monomyth and has played with other notable
groups including 35007 and Gomer Pyle. Next to those projects, he has always
had his ear tuned into the region's enduring techno and electro scene and now
offers up his own fresh take on it. The EP's title refers to the fact that
all these artists are bound by geography, but is also a nod to the fact that
The Hague is the largest Dutch city by the sea. The opener 'We Are The Little
Ones' is about an evil robot factory in a futuristic dystopian city. It is a
coruscated electro-funk workout with crisp analogue drums and nimble bass
overlaid with withering sci-fi melodies. 'We Don't Need A Real World' is a
superbly cinematic eight-minute excursion with widescreen synth work taking
you to the stars as you ride an elastic bassline. The majestic 'City Under
The Sea' then layers up neck-snapping snares with cosmic arps and plunging
bass and 'Cleopatra's Matrix' soundtracks an ancient Egyptian city with its
mystic leads and eerie pads luring you into a late-night electro trance. West
Coast pin-up and hugely prolific electronic innovator Legowelt remixes 'We
Are the Little Ones'. His version has plenty of his textbook intrigue, lo-fi texture
and magical synth charm, and finally key Bunker Records associate Rude 66
flips 'City Under The Sea' into a snaking dub rhythm with hypnotic acid lines
and seductive vocal whispers woven in deep. The Blue City EP is a timeless

and the boys, though it never condescends to full-on Sabbath worship. No,
Hazemaze has found their own way, niching somewhere between the early styles

Walter Bachauer has been an
active part of Berlin-s but all in all Germany's electronic and progressive
music scene as long as he lived with his greatest achievements being the Meta
Music festivals in Berlin in 1974, 1976 and 1978 while he worked as a line
producer at RiasBerlin, the city's biggest radio station. In the early to mid
80s he got back to compose and play music under the pseudonym Clara Mondshine
and this is his second out of three albums from 1983
"Memorymetropolis". So let me take you on a little journey into the
cosmic mind of late Mr. Bachauer for you may be rewarded with enlightenment.
Easy listening melodies come in smaller doses here despite his fondness for
the pop oriented side of the so called "Berlin School" electronics

Patanjali
is Amotik's second full-length album to be self-released on 4th March 2022.
The album is the British born DJs follow-up to his debut LP,
"VistAr" from 2019 which was given several accolades including
"Album of the Month" in Mixmag and featured as an "Essential
Album" in Groove Magazine. Patanjali took inspiration from Amotik's late
grandfather and was named after his yoga ashram. Although not identifying as
particularly spiritual, he believes the influence of his grandfather
subconsciously reverberates throughout his own. While his music could be
considered straightforward techno, it simultaneously has an intensely
hypnotic and meditative quality that subtly speaks to these deeply embedded
influences in his upbringing. The album features 10 tracks rich with elements
of ambient, breakbeat and textured soundscapes while maintaining foundations
firmly rooted in techno. Amotik avoids flavour of the month trends and stays
true to his own sound. "I wrote this album when we were in the harshest
moment of the Berlin lockdown. I was able to take some time out from the
world around me and channel my energy on writing after a long studio
break," said Amotik - of how 'Patanjali' turned out to be a mix of
dreamy escapism combined with the urge to be back on a dance floor once
again. Amotik has steadily built a solid base in Berlin since moving from the
UK several years ago, beginning in 2015 with successful EPs on his
self-titled imprint, as well as labels such as 47, BPitch Control and Figure.
His unique artistic style - hypnotic/atmospheric techno with a relentless and
raw undertone has seen him gain fans as a producer and DJ seeing him
regularly perform at some of the most exciting clubs and festivals around the

Marco Faraone re-imagines two
Radio Slave classics for ‘The Marco Faraone Remixes’ released on Vinyl this
February. The release sees UNCAGE label founder Faraone follow his ‘True Love
EP’ on Rekids with incendiaryversions of two of Matt Edwards’ most iconic
cuts, ‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’ and ‘Grindhouse’. ‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’,
originally released on Nonplus in 2014, is turned on its head by Faraone who
adds huge synth lines and fresh vocals to beefed-up drums, twisting the
sparse, minimalist original production into a warehouse bomb. On the flip
‘Grindhouse’, a track which soundtracked many a party in 2008 in part thanks
to a landmark remix from Dubfire, is tweaked into an eerie stomper by the
Tuscan producer who centers his version around rattling percussive delays and
subtle atmospherics. By revisiting these productions and adding his own
signature flair, Marco Faraone has given a new lease of life to a set of
bonafide classics |

crafted vinyl by Russian mastermind: Kirill Matveev. Side A1, “Sleep On Stage
While You Playing It (And I Have That Tape)” is the perfect Sunday morning
soundtrack. It’s warm, emotive and floaty, which makes it a future afterhours
hymn. Side A2: “Meme Architect” is an especially sensory experience of
serotonin boost for sure. The constant breaks float around as a sublime
gesture to highlight the harmonic pads and chords that define the track’s
essence. This style is jam-packed with very introspective soundscapes and
sublime atmospheres that for sure will entrance any listener. The record's
most tantalizing moment comes on side B with: "You Left That Day / Life
Goes On Again”, which rides atop a seamless combination of two tracks held by
a filament of sound as if it somehow could not exist without one another,
creating a history between both which is left to the listeners imagination.

Electrofanatik's Gain Records recently had a chart-topping hit with the label
boss’ track “Only One”, and is back with a new collaborative EP by Roberto
Pagliaccia and Dubskull. Along with the three original tracks, the EP also
features a remix from T78 who in addition to releasing on his own label
Autektone Records has also featured on Filth on Acid, Intec, and Suara.
Roberto Pagliaccia and Dubskull are both Italian artists. Dubskull whose dark
and atmospheric style has been a feature of labels like Reload and Riot, and
this is their third time featuring on Gain. Roberto Pagliaccia is an exciting
new talent, and this is only his 3rd release after a recent debut on Lapsus
Music, Blackboard with AudioJack remix. T78 has had a recent hit track made
in collaboration with Space92, and in addition to his many hard-hitting solo
releases, he has also worked with A*S*Y*S, Raito, and Maxie Devine. With
brooding tension and twisted euphoria, this release has a peak time energy
with acid tones. “Skil” opens the release with a slow-building tension before
the uplifting energy of the lead synth, then T78 lifts the tempo of Skil with
his explosive remix. “Loris” has a dystopian atmosphere filled with dark
suspense, and “Acid Jungle“ closes out the release with its rubbery lead
synth and modulating tones |

Moon
Harbour marks its historic 20th anniversary with a 10-track compilation of
all new music. It features old friends like Marlow and Luna City Express,
icons like Steve Bug and Butchand new signings like Black Circle, so it is a
fine representation of the label's famous sound. Matthias Tanzmann founded
Moon Harbour in 2000, and since then it has been at the forefront of the tech
house scene. Even in the face of the major shift from vinyl to digital, a
distributor going bankrupt and the coronavirus pandemic, careful A&R and
Matthias's own productions have ensured the label has remained utterly
relevant. The Leipzig label has released countless EPs, LPs and compilations
and hosted label showcases all over the world. It has nurtured the careers of
artists like Sable Sheep and Ekkohaus and has given a vital platform to new
stars like Miane, Detlef and many more. "Evolution is a natural process
and important to artists as well as to labels," explains Matthias.
"Music is always redefined and subject to trends. New generations of
musicians want to create their own identities through their sound. As a
label, we listen to a lot of new music and try to stay open-minded within our
own aesthetic range." After a year of re-releasing classics from the
label's back catalogue, the 20 Years of Moon Harbour compilation is all about
fresh and exclusive music. It kicks off with Andrea Oliva's 'Return To The
Dancefloor,' a bumping cut driven by naughty bass before raw percussive
energy from ANEK and tense cosmic melody Black Circle. Butch layers up tribal
grooves and exotic vocals, then Luna City Express mark the mid-point with the
steamy house of 'Mami Wata' featuring Sunru's soulful vocals. Marlow throws
it back with some old school piano energy on 'Corktown,' Matthias nails a
perfectly slinky tech house groove on 'Binford' and Ninetoes' 'Polanco Hills'
ups the pace and drives forwards. Closing out is the punchy and stripped back
house of Steve Bug's 'Going Up' and Sven Tasnadi's loopy and hypnotic
'Cuckoo.' This essential collection is further proof that Moon Harbour

Not Fade welcome the France based artist Jaymie Silk to the family with his
EP "The Legend of Jack Johnson". As a true modern nomad, born in
France to an Italian mother and a father from West Africa, as a French and
Canadian citizen, Jaymie has quickly attracted attention to his music being
immensely prolific through a number of remixes, EPs and albums. This EP
follows up on his video clip "Brain Dead", depicting the daily life
of marginalized people, and his article for DJ Mag highlighting the
relationship between racism and mental health for a black artist in the
electronic music scene. Following a year 2020 marked by social movements, the
death of George Floyd, the Black Lives Matter movement, the discussions
around racism, the place of Black people and POC in the electronic music
scene and the cultural appropriation, for Jaymie, Jack Johnson was to be the
theme of this new opus. Jack Johnson became the first African American to be
able to compete against white men, and to win the world heavyweight boxing
title between 1908 and 1915, in a country where segregation was strongly
present, where interracial love were forbidden and black people were hanged
daily. Based on period recordings by Jack Johnson, interviews with Mohammed
Ali and radio broadcasts, Jaymie recounts the life of the boxer as he
explores club rhythms mixing breakbeat and 808 (Knock You Down) and sounds
reminiscent of late 1910s jazz, as in the track Jack Johnson, remixed by
Byron The Aquarius. The B side approaches the life of the boxer under a more
melancholic aspect with the song Illegal Love, evoking the illegality of
interracial marriages, and the track Unforgivable Blackness, where Jaymie
lets himself sing on guitar samples supported by tribal percussions that have
made his musical trademark |

Maghreban is back with new double A-side 12” ‘Lose It’ / ‘Wrong Move’. The
venerable yet elusive London electronic producer has received accolades from
the gentry of the electronic world including Roman Flugel, Ben UFO, Mary Ann
Hobbs and Benji B, as well as the attention of outlets including Resident
Advisor, Boiler Room and Dummy. Recent releases such as the claustrophobic
disco of ‘Wonder Woman’, dark jungle of ’Now Easy’ and grimy tech-funk of
‘Output’ have further enhanced his following. With a diverse background
working under various aliases and guises in drum & bass, hip-hop, jungle
and old pirate radio hardcore, The Maghreban brings a bit of everything to
the table on the new 12”. ’Lose It’ is introduced by stark claps and
disorienting genie noises on a front to back beat, before evolving into a sly
six-minute house mongrel. ‘Wrong Move’ puts together elements of break beat,
dub and mutant bass to lure the listener into a vaporous electronic dystopia.
BIO: The Maghreban is an outsider. He doesn't really know much about house
music at all. Growing up just outside London, around 1990, his brother got
him into some of the old hardcore. He still has a few old pirate radio
cassettes from that time. He got into drum and bass and hip hop and forgot
about dance music entirely. He made some records in some other genres. He
bought records in lots of genres - Jazz, Film Soundtracks, World Music, Ska.
He learnt how to write navel-gazing biographies in the third person. He
gradually became more open minded and started working at some house music.

man responsible for some of the finest house music of the last decade as FCL
(with San Soda) and FCL vs VFB (with Motor City Drum Ensemble) knows a thing
or two about what makes the dancefloor lose its s**t, with tracks such as
Let’s Go Seven, It’s You and Can We Try all testament to this. When he’s not
DJing at the likes of Panorama Bar or hosting his own stage at Tomorrowland,
Red D can be found running his own mighty fine We Play House label from his
Ghent HQ. Moan The Mania opens this release in suitably back to the raw
fashion! A minimal drum machine groove and clipped bassline lay the
foundations of this tribute to all things jacking with a sprinkling of porno
groans to help you on your way. This is sleazy machine funk at it’s very
best. Next up we have a remix from Eli Escobar, the native New Yorker who has
recently been making major waves following the release of his LP Happiness on
Classic. As someone who has remixed the likes of Lana Del Rey, Kim Ann
Foxman, Honey Dijon and Holy Ghost we knew he’d be the man to take Red D’s
baton and run with it. Keeping the overall vibe of the original intact Eli
cranks the energy further with additional in your face percussion parts and a
couple of perfectly placed build ups. Flipping over we have Chase The Cat
which takes a similarly stripped-back and minimal approach as Moan The Mania
but goes heavier on the 707 beats. Finally we have Dusk Or Dawn closing the
release with a deeper mood. Simple FM synth stabs and glassy chimes provide a
tender and naive-sounding counterpoint to the basic beats. Red D proving once
again that limiting your tools and not over-complicating things can often
have so much more impact when it comes to house music |

After
Ed Davenport’s 'Festnetz EP' we're happy to welcome the next electronic music
virtuoso on the label: Luca Ballerini. We're in contact with Luca since a
while, even before we launched Siamese to discuss a possible record with him.
Now almost two years later we're excited to finally reveal the full EP! As
all of Luca’s Records there is a distinctive balance between dancefloor and a
hypnotic almost dreamy approach to electronic music. Opening up is 'Preludio
(Origine)', leading into the record with lush electronica sounds. This one
has been the last missing piece for us to finalize this record yet it comes
first. Next up is 'Amore & Psiche - Parte II'. As you can imagine we were
big fans of the first part released on Innervisions back in 2015. We are
playing this track for over a year now and we still don’t get bored of it.
The energy its creates is mind blowing. Luca’s quote for the title track of
the EP ‚Magnolia' is: 'Riposa nel raggio lunare, la bellezza del fiore‘ -
„The beauty of the flower rests in the moon light“, less poetic in English
but you get the idea. Melancholic, hypnotic and trippy at the same time, just
a beauty of a track. ‚Continuo' concludes the record in a powerful way yet
leaves you guessing what might comes next as the title might say |
