Archaic
Print is a label linked to one of the most famous podcast series, 12 Inch,
which hosts sessions by techno geniuses such as DJ T-1000, Sleeparchive,
Emmanuel Top, Antonio De Angelis, Esteban Adame, Cristian Varela, Zadig and a
huge list of more than 400 sessions by different established artists, both on
the international and national scene. As a label, Archaic Print only bets on
one direction, which is to release all their material only in vinyl format
and staying true to their style. In their third reference they have the
Spanish producer Aiken , an artist we have seen working with such respectable
platforms as Semantica, M_REC LTD or Key Vinyl, and who has a very
identifiable style, as he usually adds a mental atmosphere to his music,
either by the timbre of his sequences, by the harmonic combination or by the
elaboration of linear patterns. Third Chapter is a heterogeneous EP, with
three tracks by the author himself, which very well represent Aiken's ideals
as a producer. Side A opens with the track of the same name, a track with a
cosmic character that is marked by the great energetic dose that the arpeggio
provides, as it increases the dynamism with its rapid execution of notes.
With Endless Battle, Aiken returns to the sequential formula of the melodic
chord, this time with a tighter tonal tessitura, but just as invigorating and
intense. The B-side opens with a remix of Third Chapter by Robert
Witschakowski with his great project The Exaltics, to which he gives a band
treatment, although the only member is Robert himself. And as we might
expect, his version adapts to his style, maintaining the hegemony of the
arpeggiated sequence but giving it an electronic sound environment with a
brilliant rhythm and textures more typical of genres such as electro.
Strategy is the cut that closes the album and the most cerebral track on the
EP, as the author divides each rhythmic parameter into multiple spaces, where
he strategically places different elements with the intention of placing the
listener in a false sense of balance |

The
Neon Hearts were formed in the spring of 1977 by saxophonist Steve Heart who
had left Suburban Studs. Other members soon joined> Paul Raven *bass(,
Keith Allen *drums(, Martin Ratcliffe *guitar( and Tone Dial *vocals(. The
band were highly committed and rehearsed for 3 hours nightly. They soon had
plenty of songs and entered Ginger Studios to record the best of them. The
result was the now legendary double A/side egulations' and -Venus Eccentric-,
released in December 1977 on their own Neon Hearts label. Packaged in an
outrageous oversized 8@ cover, a copy will now set you back £60. The band
established their own punk venue at the Lord Raglan in Wolverhampton and
gigged furiously nationwide, building a substantial following and reaching
the attention of many labels. Despite various options, Neon Hearts made the
wrong decision and signed to Satril. Immediately things started to go wrong
as the label tried to manipulate the band by rewriting their lyrics, allowing
them no say in the production of the records and releasing singles without
their consent. Satril released two singles nswers' and opular Music'. Line/up
changes followed and by the time the album *also titled opular Music'( was
released in April 1979, the band, dispirited, had already split. There was a
brief reformation before Tony joined Fashion, Paul Raven joined Killing Joke
and later Prong and Steve formed 21c *21st Century(. This album closely
repros the artwork of the original, but with the addition of a 12" card
insert with sleeve notes from Steve Harrington, is packaged in a heavy duty
cover and is on red vinyl and limited to just 500 copies |

Goddy
Oku was the Eastern Nigerian music scene's Mr Fixit. Need a new guitar He'd
make you one. Couldn't afford a fancy new effects pedal Give him a couple of
days and he'd knock up something that would do the job. Oh, and he was also a
red-hot guitarist with The Hygrades, one of the heaviest bands to come out of
the east. When music started getting more electronic in the late 70's and
80's, Goddy was there, tinkering and experimenting. He built Godiac studios
in Enugu, where fellow wonk, William Onyeabor recorded Crashes In Love.
Between producing countless albums, he used his DIY skills and studio acumen
to record One More Chance. Don't Ask Me' is the bomb, a dance floor chugger
that sets the tone of the album with cheeky vocal interplay between Goddy and
his backing singers, Alice Okaro and Sandra Okagbue. They're soon asking for
forgiveness on 'One More Chance' and enjoying the fruits of reconciliation of
the chirpy 'Everything'. One More Chance is a wonky, synth driven masterpiece
that is funky and quaint in equal measures. It will bring a smile to your
face and an irresistible urge to dance to your feet |

Set
up by producer Ben Okonkwo in 1973, the BEN label, and its offshoot Clover
Sounds, broke some of the biggest bands outside of Lagos. The Apostles,
Akwassa, The Doves, Mary Afi Usuah and Aktion all got their start in the
cramped studio in the commercial heart of Aba. The least known - and arguably
one of the best bands on the label - was The Visitors. For a short, sweet
time between 1975 and 1978, The Visitors were creating the most righteous
sounds in the East. We're talking deep afro-funk with generous dollops of
rock psych fuzz synth madness. My Good Friends, their second album, find them
at the height of their powers. The musicianship throughout the album is
extraordinary. Check out the synth and guitar wig out on 'Here We Come
Brothers' and the searing guitar break that scorches the slinky groove of the
title track. This album is impossibly hard to find and selling for high
prices, one seller justified the high asking price by arguing that once you
let this record in your bones, it's not coming back out.' Thanks to the good

In the year of the pandemic, we
decided to finally put our efforts towards writing a new record. As the year
progressed and the world got darker, so did our songwriting. For this record,
we wanted to continue to follow the same dark thematic approach as our
previous release, but even more sinister and complex. "Blinded by the
Wicked" explores cults and their leaders- malevolent intentions that
corrupted the weak minded.For this record, we worked together with our
longtime friend Timmy Ternestål at Studio Ingenstans in our hometown of
Strängnäs. We had the good fortune to develop a more mature sound, and
explore new elements. The record was later mastered at Studio Humbucker by
the eminent Robert Pehrsson (Death Breath, Dead Lord, Imperial State
Electric). We believe that we have created something mature, diverse and
sabbathic and this record is showcasing it. A mixture between traditional
doom metal and heavy rock: Rock'n'Doom to be precise! |

Prior
to his release this record was simply 'labeled' as Punk-Rock but this one
comes from the New York Dolls side of Glam Punk. Storm the Gates of Heaven
reveals unusual aspects of County's work: serious, reflective and profound.
The monologue introducing the title track is the only part that may be
considered offensive. The sound is a blend of bass, lead & rhythm guitar,
drums & percussion by the versatile Electric Chairs. Embellished by
Hammond organ, the title track rages against and laments the suffering caused
by religious wars. Cry Of Angels is an eloquent, even anthemic defense of
Enlightenment values on which the guitar textures and the hook around the
chorus superbly complement one another. An artful blend of County-s
characteristic outrage and the pure pop genius that lay behind the garish
accoutrements, Storm the Gates of Heaven jams its eight tracks between two
undisguised classics, the anthemic title track and a so-optimistic reading of
'Tomorrow Is Another Day', not to mention a stunning cover-version of the
Electric Prune's 'I had too much to dream last Night' |

quality productions and his unique take on electro. We all know electro
started with futurism and well, this work is pure futurism. Each cut is a
trip into his restless creativity. Each track is a mind altering exploration
of a deeply cinematic soundscape with a massive number of elements perfectly
fused together with his "one of a kind" sci-fi aestethic that
immediately pulls you out of the schemes. Caustic distortions, post
industrial environments, mind expanding electronics and primitive drum
patterns are only the main elements of this sci-fi masterpiece. There is no
"Detroit Nostalgia" in it. This is sonic militance. The same that

ending 2021 with a big announcement that Laurent Garnier and Scan X were the
masterminds behind the label, we start the new year with another big
announcement: our 11th release being the labels first 'artist code' album!
Once again a focus on eclecticism, open-mindedness, divergence and
non-conformity. Expect to hear a wide range of electronic music from House,
Techno, Electro, and even Drum n Bass carefully selected by Monsieur’s
Garnier and X. COD3 QR wants to remain free of all expectations and all
prejudices because only one thing counts for us: the music, The Music, THE
MUSIC in every shape and form! Incase you missed the announcement 010 artist
reveals were: Laurent Garnier, Speaking Minds & Amarcord, Scan X, Diego
Infanzon. Previous releases have included tracks from the likes of Agents of
Time, JoeFarr, Nicolas Bougaieff, Madben, CYRK, Biz and rising talents Works
of Intent aka R.O.S.H, LOIS, Softly & Voltaire. Cod3QR’s profile is
steadily growing as a label releasing quality music. With music being the
main focus you'll have to wait another 2 months to find out who is behind
this latest release. The curiosity continues….. Head to their Instagram page

mission statement. Music is our sole driving force. Eclecticism,
open-mindedness, divergence and non-conformity are the values we cherish. To
achieve this, 3 or 4 artists from different musical backgrounds will come
together on each release. All of our artists, whether known or unknown, will
work under a secret code name so that their true identities remain out of the
public domain to avoid any preconceived ideas or a particular bias. By doing
this, the music will always come first. Each release will be identified by a
simple QR code, which, when flashed, will take you to a web page that will
give, among other things, the artist's code name. In the current market, most
digital and vinyl sales occur over an average period of 2 months. Once this
time period has elapsed, the true identity of each artist (if they wish) will
finally be revealed on our web site. It is only then, two months after the
release that the artists will be allowed to start communicating. Contrary to
the usual practice, COD3 QR will search out artists rather than the other way
around, so it won't be possible to send us music. The founders of COD3 QR
will also remain anonymous because their identities must not affect the
image, expectations or perception of the label. To ensure anonymity, all of
our artists will sign a contract agreeing to keep silent or be economical
with the truth about the identity of those behind the label and the artists.
The music alone will be the reason why we sign an artist, and we want music
to be the only reason for people to take an interest and engage with the
label. For this to succeed, we must remain free of all expectations and all
prejudices because only one thing counts: the music, The Music, THE MUSIC in

Best
known as the keyboardist and bandleader of legendary trio Azymuth, the late
José Roberto Bertrami also wrote for, arranged for and performed with Elis
Regina, George Duke, Sarah Vaughn, Jorge Ben, Eddie Palmieri, Milton
Nascimento, Flora Purim and Erasmo Carlos, among countless others. But before
all of that, in 1965, at the age of just nineteen, Zé Roberto recorded his
first studio album with his group Os Tatuís, and the José Roberto Trio in the
following year. These largely slept-on albums of beautiful, expressive samba
jazz and bossa nova stand as a testament to the prodigious genius of one of
the most important musicians in Brazil’s history. Born in 1946 in Tatuí - a
small city in the Brazilian state of São Paulo, José Roberto was the eldest of
seven children, four of whom became musicians. His father Lázaro was a
classical violinist and a professor at Tatuí’s public conservatory, the
largest music school in Latin America - for which the city is nicknamed
"Music City". After two years of piano lessons from the age of
seven, Bertrami began losing interest, spending more time playing football
and what he himself referred to as “professional vagabondage”. At thirteen,
as his mother was despairing that her son was going off the rails, Zé Roberto
enrolled at the conservatory. “In my two years there, I did seven years’ work
and then I was expelled. The conservatory was almost entirely a classical
music situation, and I’d begun to break some rules—like holding a jam session
at school.” Having discovered Bill Evans and Miles Davis in his early teenage
years, Betrami began to channel his passion and exceptional musical talent
into jazz rather than classical music. The bossa nova sound was also gaining
popularity and Bertrami became especially interested in the music of Luiz Eça
and Tamba Trio. In his late teens, and around the same time as he was
regularly sneaking off to São Paulo by train to perform in nightclubs, Zé
Roberto, alongside his brother Claudio (a successful musician in his own
right, who would go on to play on seminal albums by Gal Costa, Tom Zé, Edu
Lobo and João Bosco) and other musicians from Tatuí’s emerging jazz and bossa
nova scene, recorded the first album under the group name Os Tatuís. The
self-titled LP featured Zé Roberto on piano, Claudio on double bass, a horn
section and an organist |

This is the debut album by
Funeral Parade Of Roses. It takes the form of a suite of four ominous,
cinematic soundscapes suffused with foreboding and unease. In each track,
dread-laden industrial atmospherics are punctuated by scorching bursts of
rhythm, pantomiming an ongoing struggle between loss and liberation. The
presentation of this body of sound work is also conceived as a collaboration
between the artist and designer / illustrator Priscilla Genet, whose artwork
is featured both on the full color printed insert sleeve and the accompanying
zine. The zine itself is a booklet of stream of consciousness verse that
explores a highly personal meditation on negation, the anarchic, and utopian

This
one is a double first for Shall Not Fade - the launch of the new Killer Cuts
series focused on groove-heavy dancefloor fillers, and Marc Brauner's debut
on the Bristol label. The born-and-raised Berliner has previously released on
German labels Midnight Snacks and Pentagonik, and joins the Shall Not Fade
roster with a collection of classic house tracks to make you miss the clubs.
Brauner covers a breadth of moods on the record, the A-side filling you up
with euphoria; opener "Too Real" is a gorgeous bit of lofi house
tinged with funky guitar inflections and a retro feel that sweeps across the
whole release. "Things I Did" and "Tool For Lovers" drag
you out of winter and into a 90s Ibiza summer, utilising a 303 bassline and
classic house stabs to warm up your dancing feet. In comparison to the warmth
of the first half of the record, the B-side gets more haunting in tone, first
by introducing rolling breaks in "I Know You Would" and especially
in "Tears of a Fallen Angel". This is the emotional core of
Brauner's offering, euphoria tinged with sadness over a punchy rhythm that
juxtaposes the subtle vocals woven throughout. The record closes with a hint
of post-disco; "Neptun" is a real groover of squelchy electro
synths that is reminiscent of Patrick Cowley and the early, smoky nightclubs
of New York. The bonus digital track "Out of Time" carries on a
similar energy - it's a piece that doesn t keep still, glittering with
playful synth melodies and a surging cacophony of vocal samples |

Jazz Records new ‘Life Between Islands’ collection coincides with the launch
of Tate Britain’s exhibition of the same name. This landmark exhibition
explores the links between Caribbean and British art and culture from the
1950s to now. Soul Jazz Records album, sub-titled “Soundsystem Culture –
Black Musical Expression 1973-2006,” focuses on the most important Black
British musical styles to emerge out of the distinctly Caribbean world of
sound systems. The album features an all-star line-up including Dennis
Bovell, Shut Up and Dance, Cymande, Digital Mystikz, Brown Sugar, Funk
Masters, Janet Kay, Ragga Twins and more. The album is a lightning-rod
journey across Roots Reggae, Jungle/Drum & Bass, Jazz-Funk, Lovers Rock,
Jazz, Dubstep and more. Much of Soul Jazz Records’ catalogue comes out of
these genres and this album is partly an overview of some of Soul Jazz’s
earlier releases (including Digital Mystikz’ long-deleted groundbreaking and
now highly-collectible single, ‘Misty Winter’) alongside some choice rare and
classic tunes that span over 30 years of sound system culture. Many of the
tracks represent how Black British artists defined their own identity with
songs such as Brown Sugar’s righteous ‘Black Pride’, ‘I’m In Love with A
Dreadlocks’ and Tabby Cat Kelly’s powerful ‘Don’t Call Us Immigrants’. Aside
from being musically rooted in the distinctly Jamaican-born phenomenon of the
sound system, much of this identity is also shaped by the triangular
relationship of being British-born, of Caribbean heritage, and with an equal
love of African-American Jazz, Funk and Soul, as evidenced with many Lovers
Rock tunes reggae covers of American soul tunes (such as those of Jean Carn,
William de Vaughan and Rose Royce featured here). This stateside influence
can also be heard in groups such as the Funk Masters, a group formed by
reggae radio DJ Tony Williams, whose jazz-funk music successfully crossed
over into New York’s clubland, as well as the great Cymande, whose unique
street-funk became staple material for numerous US hip-hop artists in the
years that followed. In the early 1990s, jungle and drum and bass artists
took the essence of reggae’s soundsystem culture – MCs, dubplates, crews –
and applied them to their own music, applying heavy reggae bass lines to
intense double-speed drum breakbeats. At the forefront of this new movement
were the duo Shut Up and Dance, working closely with The Ragga Twins, aka
Deman Rocker and Flinty Badman, both MCs for North London’s infamous Unity
reggae soundsytem. In the early 2000s, dubstep, spearheaded by Digital
Mystikz, became the latest instalment in this ever-evolving soundsystem

All Nations Records coming early 2022 is a rework of a legendary tune that
all reggae fans know. “I Know Myself” from Ernest Wilson has been a regular
play by all champion sounds from Sir Cosxone to Jah Shaka and alikes since
late 70’s. Never would be the intention to do better, but All Nations Records
likes to do his thing a little bit different, so Simon Nyabinghi has rebuilt
the tune entirely in his studio in 2022 style. With a clever recipe of
carefully picked sounds and a grooving way of playing, it has the original
vibes with a bouncing twist that should suit to all original fans and beyond.

Word Records is very pleased to bring you more music from Werkha! Following
on from his EP 'The Rigour' from early 2020, the Mancunian musician dropped a
little taste of his new material late last year in the form of single
'Battered Mars Bar' and limited cassette 'Beat Tapestry'. Now we have a
double aa-side single featuring two cuts from his forthcoming album 'All Werk
Is Play'. 'Eterno Retorno' features the glorious Portuguese vocals of
Moreiya, gliding across Werkha's uniquely skippy bruk vibes, with squelchy
bass stabs and delicate guitar strums in tow. 'In Saint-Gilles' keeps the
tempo up, cleverly switching between a 4/4 and a half-time rhythm. This one
bringing more European vibes with the talents of Brussels-based DJ/Producer
Le Motel also behind the boards. Both tracks have already been shown support
from the likes of AtJazz & DJ Paulette. Werkha hails from Manchester and
has been releasing music for a decade, collaborating and remixing artists
such as Quantic, Bryony Jarman-Pinto, Marcos Valles and Andrew Ashong, and

track it becomes clear what this is all about: Wobbly metamorphous sounds
from outer space jamming with stomping and bass driven techno beats of
tomorrow, a new kind of rave, hypnotic and seductive, utterly strange but
wonderfully catchy and contagious in a good sense, harsh shuffled hiatus and
alternating kick drums, a relentless bassline and sophisticated electronic
sounds in a a permanent evolution resembling and invoking altered states of
consciousness. A2. Love Boat: This new rave anthem seems like a classic you
haven’t heard about. Muscle memories from dancefloor days trigger your body
as you listen on your headphones, awaiting the chance to play it out soon,
hopefully, as the dance floors slowly reopen. Alternating between parts of
kickdrum, clap and snare awesomeness, and the mangled rave signals that
slowly morph into a more concrete melody reminiscent of ancient dreams of the
future, this track has it all for the club kids of today. B1. La Vida Loca:
The title track is a tech banger that will please those who dig Kenny Larkin,
Claude Young, The Surgeon, Dave Clark or any other star in the nocturnal sky
of Techno Techno, as well as the lovers of DJs Pareja’s classic Cómeme
Clubbangers, or the more Techno side of Mr. Aguayo. Definitely has the
potential to become a huge hit if enough djs that don’t rely on algorithms
get their hands on it. B2. Las Llaves: The closer is hyper modern tech funk
at its best. Percussive greatness as you can find it on many Cómeme releases
is triggered in a different way, “sabroso” rhythms that are played in the

Carl
Finlow keeps on keeping on. As the world changes around him, the veteran
producer continues to do what he does best - craft top-quality electro tunes
which invoke the sound's Drexciyan heyday, yet carry themselves with an
assurance that is all of Finlow's own. Finlow remains a prolific producer
more than a quarter of a century on from his emergence. Still averaging
several records a year across a variety of aliases, recent times have seen
Finlow forge particularly strong links with the Central Processing Unit
label. Now, after a run of EPs for the Sheffield imprint which began with
2018's 'Projections', Finlow's Silicon Scally project offers up CPU's first
drop of 2022 in the form of the 'Field Lines' LP. Silicon Scally productions
have long been marked out by how they combine piston-precise beat programming
with more textured synth play. 'Field Lines' runs with this formula to
deliver some of Finlow's most atmospheric material to date. At once shadowy
and expansive, listening to 'Field Lines' is the aural equivalent of taking a
night-time drive around some futuristic metropolis. The beats cruise sleekly
here. Many of these burbling machine-funk numbers hover at mid-tempo, the
crisp clip of their drum programming given shape and depth by all sorts of
percussive tones fizzing around at the fringes of the mix. Even when 'Field
Lines' seems to set its sights on the club - the Bunker Records-aping
'Amino', for instance, or the dystopian whizz-bang of 'Static Fire' - the
tracks here strut sturdily rather than giving in to full-on freakouts.
However, from this sturdy base, Finlow moves outwards. Working with tones
which range from rapid-fire machine-gun bass to keening, dawn chorus keyboard
pads, Finlow leads us through the futurescape with the expertise of a
seasoned guide. Cuts like 'Submerged' and 'Yield' are brilliantly cinematic,
blooming from those reliable drum pulses into miniature masterpieces of
nocturnal electronics. Elsewhere on 'Field Lines' there is a mechanical
majesty to 'Inhibitor' and 'Altered Domain' which invokes the brave new
worlds that Kraftwerk repeatedly conjured in their heyday. Central Processing
Unit's first release of 2022 is 'Field Lines', an LP of electro-funk
explorations from Carl Finlow's Silicon Scally project which will thrill
regardless of whether it's experienced through headphones or out on the

Having
become one of Crosstown Rebels’ key artists in recent years, Barcelona-born
Tibi Dabo returns to the label this February with his latest EP, the four
track Isla. Since debuting on the label in 2019, Tibi Dabo (AKA Max Guardans)
has cemented his place amongst the Crosstown family with standout EPs such as
Disbelieve and The Distance We Share, the latter of which featuring two
remixes from David Morales. ?Tibi Dabo creates this scene perfectly as the
title track opens proceedings, easing the listener in with delicate pads
before waves of harmonious elements and finely placed percussions dance in
and out of the track. Mothball then further emphasises the artist’s attention
to detail as its lead melody and vocal-chops develop in tandem throughout. Brain
The Cut follows, acting as a metaphorical signal of nightfall on Tibi Dabo’s
conceptual island. Rounding off the release, Arp 8 delivers warming melodies
atop of a subtle break beat in an exquisitely emotive manner. Still in its
infancy, yet mature in its intention, the Tibi Dabo project sees Max in his
element; drawing on over a decade of playing and making music, perfectly
demonstrated on Isla. Emerging from a new generation of multi-disciplined
artists, Tibi Dabo’s refreshingly unique sound has also seen him remix for

The day has come to finally
release the very first vinyl record of Autonome, including 4 killer tracks by
already established and promising upcoming talents. On the A-side, Hiss aka
Rove Ranger strikes first with a floating, hypnotic journey full of tension
and rhythm. Right after, Cirkle provides an old-school reminiscent, raw
driving weapon, embodying the pure techno fundamentals. The B-side welcomes a
longstanding pillar of the scene, who pushes the boundaries of music and
support as no one before him. Setaoc Mass gladly contributed with one of his
signature mechanical club lesson. Yant wraps it up with his trademark storm
of soundscapes and rumbling drums. Definitely one of the strongest rising
artist of the past years that brilliantly concludes the V/A. Massive thank
you to Setaoc Mass, Yant, Hiss and Cirkle for their great collaboration. We

South
African producer, KaySoul, shares a dreamy cut of deep house goodness which
features the input of instrumentalists from all across the globe. What is
Blackness? EP is all about melody and groove - two things to which
Johannesburg resident, KaySoul, is well accustomed. The stripped-back opener
"That Blackness" gets things off to a soulful start with a melody
swaying gently over minimal percussion and funk-adjacent lower ends. Next up,
Colombia-born, Brazil-based musician, Gustavo Martinez, steps up to offer his
expertise on "Africanus": a more meditative take on deep house with
melancholic cries of a saxophone and maracas which lend the track a
full-bodied swing. A pulsing kick drum provides the driving propulsion to
"10 Ways": a joyous track which drafts in French pianist, Steve
Faets for melody duties. Bringing the EP to a close is the final artist to
feature, fellow Johannesburg resident Kurtx, who steps in for the super cool,
synth-driven "East Meets South" before the hollow-sounding
percussion and and looped vocals "Yak" leave things on a blissful,

Scalameriya
returns to Perc Trax with the most definitive statement of his highly
individual sound to date. Originally debuting on Perc Trax in 2016 in
collaboration with VSK he has since cemented his status at the label with
three further Perc Trax EPs 'Kepslok' (2016), 'Hellzone Megapunk' (2018) and
'Blueprint For Disaster' (2020). Now 'Aeon Core' is upon us and sees
Scalameriya extend his sound across 11 immaculately produced tracks
showcasing a cybernetic, synthetic techno sound that still has a warm heart
at its core. From the tough beats and warped vocals of 'Kiti Kimera' to the
collapsing synth riffs of 'Elder Venus' to the punishing closing statement
that is 'Warbeast' a track pushing up the Scalameriya BPM like never before,
this is an album than perfectly balances intricacy, rhythm and power. As with
the last two Scalameriya EPs on Perc Trax the source illustration is an
exclusive commissioned work by New Tasty with all editions of the album put
together by Perc Trax design hero Adult Art Club. The distinctive
illustration further solidifies the connection between the visual and sonic
aesthetics of Scalameriya's Perc Trax releases to the point now where it
feels like one cannot exist without the other. The album was mastered by Matt
Colton at Metropolis Studios in London and will be released as a 2 x 12"
vinyl release, a CD album plus download and streaming formats |

Following
the first chapter of Andy Mac'sDiving Birdseries, Idle Hands welcomes Italian
producer Piezo into the fold with an EP that harks back to the smoky, dubwise
ambience of some of the label's earliest releases. Luca Mucci was a Bristol
resident for a few years before returning to his native Milan, carving out an
identity for his Piezo alias with a slew of dubstep-focused EPs on labels
such as Artikal Music and Subaltern. While on an Idle Hands skirmish
stateside and playing on NY radio, one of The Kelly Twins dropped
"Lume" and remarked on how 'Idle' it sounded, sparking the process
that led to this record. You can sense a link the early Kowton records on EP
opener "Opeq", all monochromatic textures and taut, slow-stalking
rhythms, but here those facets are interspersed with a unique melodic
elegance that offsets the moody immersion of the track, eventually blooming
out into an effervescent slice of slow-motion house music.
"Novemiluano" meanwhile displays Mucci's capabilities in handling
broken beats, exercising a devastating restraint without compromising on presence or energy in
crafting a stunning piece of meditative soundsystem music. Pushing that
foundational dub principle of space and minimalism even further,
"Lume" closes the record out in stunning style with an intimate,
glacial stepper that champions minute detail as much as looming gaps in the
sound. With a peppering of micro-sampling atop a deathly bassweight march,
it's a finely pointed arrow aimed right at the heart of Idle Hands, and we
couldn't be happier to be releasing it |

were made by someone super sensitive and experienced in this thing some call
deep house. If you are a dj, you'll appreciate this selection, cause it makes

Anyway, I'm very proud to release this record on Off Minor. Jose Rico and I

delivers raging club music with 4 cuts balancing the UK and Berlin sound with
a masterful touch. The two mixes of 'Flashback' on the A side provide raw,
