return with their second LP in less than a year. In that time the world has
become a melting pot of hate, absurdity and on the brink of destruction and
Bad Breeding have made a record that sums up these dark, dense and claustrophobic
times. Once again the relentless rhythm section drives the sound with guitar
work that is squealing and immense alongside vocals that spit bile and
razor/sharp lyrics. Standouts include The More the Merrier / which sounds
like prime Icons of Filth from 1985 whilst last track Endless Impossibility
is a five/minute/plus dirge that hits hard like Killing Joke but with more
noise and chaos. On Divide Bad Breeding have upped the intensity and made an
even stronger album. Rather than being self/released, they have now joined La

After
their first single "Quiet Part Of Town" The Vals deliver the full
length album "Wildflower Way" and carry the listener into a 60s
suburbia galaxy."Wildflower Way" is the brainchild of songwriter
Paul Doherty. Produced at his home studio in Belfast, the album flows through
pop, rock, psychedelia, and folk, creating a supersonic carpet for the ears
of the listener. Incorporating a vast array of instrumentation, The Vals
explore tales of 60's suburbia in what is more of a storybook than a
conventional album. Each song within the album has been twinned with
beautiful artwork from Stefan Duerr, adding to the overall dream-like
ambience of the album. While exercising experimental recording techniques
often associated with the era of Sgt Pepper and Pet Sounds and with the
addition of orchestral sounds through-out, tracks such as "No Truth in
War" and "Quiet Part of Town" create an epic soundtrack.
Skipping through a sea of musical genre, we encounter the occupants of
"Wildflower Way" on tracks such as the dreamy "Suzie Reaches
for the Sky", "Bellamy Only Dreams" and "The Ballad of
Billy Milk". We are spun into another realm with "Paper Moon"
which gives a nod to India with its beautiful sitar sounds before seeing the
bluesier side to The Vals on the track "Mailbox". But it's on
tracks like "Heaven and Earth" that the proverbial psychedelic egg
has been laid, dreamy vocals backed with what sounds like a tub-thumping
marching band provide yet another example of the diversity found on

There
was a time in the 1970s when the best band in the Nigeria was actually from
Cameroon. Rock Town Express, formed out of the ashes of Wrinkar Experience by
Yaoundé boys Edjo'o Jacques Racine and Ginger Forcha, hit it hard, hit it
loud and hit it funky. Racine and Forcha had been recruited from Cameroon by
Dan Ian and after only six months, left them stranded in Nigeria's troubled
east. Their first album as Rock Town Express was released on Ginger Baker's
ARC label in 1974. This, their second eponymous album, features a more
subdued sepia toned cover but rocks even harder. The horror of the Biafran
War weighs heavily on Rock Town Express. The guitars wail, the horns parp and
the synths swirls in a maelstrom of pain and anger. 'Peaceful Solution' implores
people to live in peace and harmony. 'Spaceville Rape' bemoans the wanton
destruction that comes with war. And 'Nobody's Man' is the defiant cry of an
ex-soldier determined to make his own way in the world. Rock Town Express is
an angry and dark transmission from Nigeria's east that the war may have been
over, but the scars were still yet to heal |

Recorded in the USA, 'E Je Ka Jo'
is the only record released by Nigerian brother and sister act Xtasy. It is
also a stone cold, boogie classic and remains one of the most sought-after
records of its type in the world. Includes America's finest session players,
like songwriter Greg Wright and bass player Keni Burke. Wright produced the
album and wrote all the songs. He had worked with Diana Ross, Thelma Houston
and Bobby Womack and added a slick international sheen to each track. The
sound is smooth, sophisticated and sexy and one that would be welcomed on
dance floors anywhere in the world. Strangely, 'E Je Ka Jo' was only ever
released in Nigeria in 1984 |

Pour La Danse is proud to present Coil's unreleased soundtrack for the VHS
only, pre-internet, sexual education documentary entitled "The Gay Man's
Guide To Safer Sex" released in 1992. Members for this project are John
Balance, Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson and Danny Hyde. The OST, to
quote John Balance's interview for Compulsion Online, "is [a] slightly
new agey, progressive house type thing". Another way to approach it is
as a delightful collection of balearic beats, smoking jazz not far removed
from Badalamenti's work with David Lynch, somewhat of an ambient house album
for your home listening and early
morning sunrise dances, Coil style. Taken from the original masters provided
by Danny Hyde, "The Gay Man's Guide To Safer Sex" features a new
sexy edit of the main theme. Bonuses "Nasa-Arab" and "Omlagus
Garfungiloops" are taken from the 1992 CD only "Stolen And
Contaminated Songs", both being original versions of the radically
reworked (for the OST) "Nasa-Arab 2" and "Exploding
Frogs" in order to balance the whole album and extend the listening
pleasure |

Deep
Sleep Robot returns with another throwback excavating some of the rare finds.
The second chapter of the series, a Various Artist four-track EP, timeless
cuts from the archives. The A-side, Ronin (aka. J. Axel) the man behind
several albums on PlackTown Sounds, Plastic City and Driftwood brings us
"Mysterious City", classic Ronin sound here folks this being one of
the first releases by the artist back in 1998. Followed by Swedish producer
Johan Bacto (aka. Johan Svensson) responsible for labels such as PlackTown
Sounds, Everyday, Mankind, Zync, Countdown 2000, with his
"Takemountain" the combination of these creates the reunion of the
tracks previously released 24 years ago, sounds just as fresh now as it did
back then. The B-side Van Delta (Christopher Bleckmann & Hannes Wenner) a
German duo in charge of EP's on Groove Attack Productions, M_Nus, Archipel,
and Krush Grooves, gives us a nostalgic trip from 1999. "Adjust",
with hypnotic keys and solid bass line building up the tension slowly but
steadily creating the groove. The final track by Dav (aka. Davor Stosic) a
Croatian artist B+Positive, Cove Recordings, and Sensei labels that regularly
has been on Swag Records store shelves. "Flight", a fantastic
example of late 90's tech-house. Hypnotic soundscape, variety of layers and a
slow build up, giving the track an otherworldly feeling. All tracks were
produced between the years of 1998 - 2003, timeless and rarer then rare |

Stingray 313's highly-praised FTNWO LP returns to heed its sonic warnings and
powerful messages on his own label, Micron Audio. Originally released on WeMe
Records in 2012, FTNWO displays the high-tempo, ever forward production DJ
Stingray 313 is known world around for. DJ Stingray 313 says "FTNWO was
conceptually centered on conspiracy theory, science, prepper [doomsday
preparation / survivalism] and social commentary," and the foreboding
introduction of "Evil Agenda" sonically explains just what lies
ahead for the listener. The stark warning leads into DJ Stingray 313's
stomping "Dark Arts", beginning the FTNWO experience. "Room
Clearance" gets straight to business with raw, gritty and
true-to-the-art Detroit electro sounds, along with a heavy, quivering lead to
piece the track together. FTNWO's cyber-explorations continue with
"Denial Of Service". "I NEED a computer!" shouts a
destitute voice throughout the track, as a hypnotic siren lead weaves through
pounding 808s. The uptempo onslaught continues with "Interest Rate"
- pads that give a feeling of falling accompany samples lamenting the
realities of debt in modern society. These statements in the samples
permeating the aptly titled track eerily foretell many present-day situations
in 2022, as well as prove testament to DJ Stingray 313's ahead-of-the-curve
production techniques. "No Knock" also carries on with arpeggiated
square waves and dissonant FM stabs laced intricately over thundering drums.
"Outsourced" has a call and response feel, with lush, bright tiny
synths talking with each other over a thundering rhythm akin to a drum &
bass arrangement. DJ Stingray 313's sound also stretches to more melodic
planes, as "Reverse Engineering" displays. Brooding pads and icy
percussion engage in a sonic dance. In the same on "Image Search",
cold drums and riffs intertwine the warmer layering pads and leads. Both
create two powerful compositions on FTNWO that move unlike any other.
"Remote Viewing" only moves lower in tempo compared to the rest of
FTNWO, DJ Stingray 313's keen ear to melody still burning brightly.
F.T.N.W.O. remains an ageless album - an ominous piece from a near-distant
past, back again as part of the Micron Audio catalog to soundtrack the new
and uncertain times we live in |

Nam' was originally issued on Mira records in 1966 but vanished without a
trace. Far from radio friendly with its fearsome Bo Diddley beat, wailing
harmonica and strong anti-war lyric, the track has gone on to become a much
sought-after garage rock classic and is now almost impossible to find on 45
at any price. It made an appearance on
1967's Mondo Hollywood soundtrack, the sort of record Quentin Tarantino might
have in his collection. It is hardly surprising, therefore, that it is
featured in the director's new movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. This 45 is mastered straight off the
original 3-track tape and on the flip we have a fantastic instrumental

"Eat
More Possum" is Antiseen's most acclaimed album, originally released in
1993 and row remastered for this vinyl reissue. ANTISEEN is an American punk
rock band formed in Charlotte, North Carolina by Jeff Clayton and Joe Young
in 1983. The name "Antiseen" serves as a deliberate deviation of
the phrase "anti-scene" - the group not wishing to adhere to
standard perceptions of punk rock in specific and rock music in general.
Musically, Antiseen is influenced by groups such as the Ramones and Stooges,
employing short, heavily distorted power chord-driven songs largely free of
guitar solos or advanced musicianship. The band has a catalogue of over 100
LPs, EPs, CDs and DVDs recorded with various line-ups and have performed all
over the world. Years after crawling from the primordial ooze of rural North
Carolina, Antiseen proceed to bulldoze through the nineties with one quality
release after another. Eat More Possum is one of the greatest specimens of
gun totin', meat eatin', society rejectin' punk rock the Young & Clayton
posse ever laid to wax. Young's guitar tone is particularly grinding,
heartwarming like steel cutting machinery buzzing in your ear, capped by Jeff
Clayton's trademark ursine raving. Speedballs like "Star Whore" and
"Storm Trooper" are like chopper territory fights set to music,
while anthropological studies on southern attitudes like "Trapped in
Dixie" offer miles of perspective to the unfamiliar. The vegetarian
torturing anthem "Animals (Eat 'em)" may be the tastiest nugget in
this pannikin of dixie nihilism, and the boys nail one hell of a Ramones
cover along the way. This is an absolute must for fans of extreme punk rock
ala GG Allin, Dwarves, Poison Idea, etc |

country in the whole African continent that has developed a strong Jazz
tradition. Initially influenced by the great American stylists, (Ellington,
Gillespie...) South Africa gradually developed its own soulful style based on
a distinctive taste for melody and a deep sense of groove. Masterfully
selected from the so-called Golden Age of the genre, (late Fifties / early
Sixties), this compilation represents the best introduction to the work of a
large and varied body of musicians and composers who inevitably developed
their music as part of the historical Anti-Apartheid struggle, and as means
of self expression in the dark times of exile. Kippie Moeketsi, Hugh

Reissued
for the first time, "Fragmentos da Casa" by Brazilian percussionist
Marco Bosco, was originally released in 1986, by Carmo, owned by Egberto
Gismonti. Carmo also released albums by Gismonti, Piry Reis, Fernando Falcao,
Nando Carneiro and André Geraissati, among others. In 1986, Marco Bosco's
percussive arsenal was unique and extremely peculiar, containing chizanzhi,
caxixis, purrinhola, requo-requo, shequeres, berimbaus and lingo drum, among
other instruments. This fusion of acoustic and synthetic, promoted by some
Brazilian artists in the 80's and celebrated world-wide, still brings
memories to the percussionist. For him, the arrival of those electronic
gadgets "was the best thing that happened on the planet". This
reissue includes a reproduction of the original artwork, new testimonies by
Marco Bosco and a a long article signed by Bento Araujo, author of the series
of books "Lindo Sonho Delirante", which investigates audacious and
fearless music produced in the Brazilian underground. The track "Sol da
Manha" was included in "Outro Tempo" (Electronic and
Contemporary Music from Brazil 1978-1992), compilation by DJ John Gomez

Slater, Dubfire, and The Lady Machine remix Planetary Assault Systems' 'Rip
The Cut' on Mote-Evolver this April. Originally released on Planetary Assault
Systems' 2011 album 'The Messenger' on Ostgut Ton, 'Rip The Cut' now sees a
pair of remixes from Dubfire and The Lady Machine and two new versions from
Luke Slater himself for his Mote-Evolver label this April. Leading the
release is Luke Slater's first remix of the original, titled 'LS Remix 1',
where grooving, swung percussion meets crunching samples and oscillating
bleeps alongside dubbed out vocal FX. SCI + TECfounder Dubfire's
interpretation follows on, which brings squelching synths, rocking drums, and
trippy atmospheres to the table. On the flip, Slater's second revision kicks
off the B-side with a relentless barrage of drum machines, considered
distortion, and a hard-hitting arrangement. Following her recent 'Magnify' EP
on Mote-Evolver, Pornceptual Resident and Unterwegs Records boss The Lady
Machine rounds out the EP, flipping 'Rip The Cut' into a certified stomper,

Russian
electro specialist Sinitsin invites us deep into a dystopian world at war on
his new EP for LDI Records. His four originals come backed with standout
remixes from Umwelt and Privacy. Andrey Sinitsin hails from Moscow and
started out playing drums in rock bands. But his love of experimentation and
exploration took him into the world of electronic music where he now cooks up
his own fusions of IDM, techno and electro. So far it has come on labels like
Ukonx Recordings, Urban Connections and Raw Russian. He opens up his LDI
Records debut with 'Perfect Killing Machine' a raw, textural electro track
with grizzly bass and edgy synth lines that convey a sense of heading into
battle. 'PKD' is a slick and slippery electro tune with sci-fi melodies and deep
space atmospherics. The turbulent bassline again conveys that sense of
intergalactic warfare while 'Across the Desert Sands' layers up coruscated
bass, neck-snapping snares and deep, gurgling acid lines into a dynamic track
that bristles with pent-up tension. The always fierce and analogue-loving
Umwelt is an electro mainstay who runs four of his own labels including
Shelter and Rave Or Die. His take on 'Across The Desert Sands' has caustic
synths and brutal snares making for a dark and intense electro trip powered
by an unrelenting bassline. Privacy then steps up, having established himself
on labels like Klakson and Lobster Theremin. His remix is a straight-up
banger, with bouncy rubbery drum programming and zipping synths racing into
the future backed by smooth and serene chords. Last of all comes 'Ruined', a
five-minute emotional masterpiece with melancholy chords and downbeat drums
run through with a warped acid line that brings a subtle sense of hope. This
is a cinematic electro EP full of adventure and invention |

important figure on the Jamaican music scene during both the roots era of the

Episode 1, warmly met with both critical and popular success, Vitalic keeps

minimal. The composition and production style have a post-cold wave heritage,

celebrate more than 20 years on the road, Laboca, iconic Spanish hip hop duo,
releases their new single on Enlace Funk! Laboca takes a retrospective
assessment, captures snapshots of the current moment and turns to the
implications of being old timers after facing in front of the mirror more
than twenty years in the world of rap. Playing with the metaphor of time
travel, they ask questions about how to use nostalgia to dialogue with what
is out there and imagine a better future for anyone. This trip is wrapped on
one hand by samples of the analog synthesizers and synth drums of Spanish
artists in their late stages (early and mid-80s). And on the other hand, by
voices from movies and television series from the era (such as "Las
Verdes praderas" by José Luis Garci or "Into the Labyrinth",
by Peter Graham Scott and Bob Baker). The album cover design is work of
Gabriel Saiz / Filo Estudio, who makes an art intervention on the covers of
the sampled artists. For the purpose of the release and promotion of
"Recaída y Vuelta", Javier Suárez has directed a courageous video
clip: a wormhole piercing screens while invoking Zulueta's

Arfa to the Time Is Now family with his debut EP: a tight 5-tracker which
sees the emerging producer come into his powers with a fiercely
forward-facing take on dark garage, featuring a raucous remix from London's
Bakey. Real Badman EP starts as it means to go on. 'Run It Back' is driven by
a fractured syncopated rhythm and a heavy warped bassline which lends it its
tune, fusing together the stylistic elements of dark garage and speed garage
to offer a fresh take on both genres. Clattering rimshots and a womping
bassline compliment 'For The Mandem's luscious pads before being carried onto
'Ain't Ready' which adds a tight two-step rhythm and the chopped-up vocals of
an old skool garage MC. Finally, 'Real Badman' sees the EP at its most

repress - "It was the beginning of 2016, I remember going down the
stairs of that foggy Kreuzkolln basement. The floor was packed, the walls
were sweaty, the air was so dense that you couldn't use a lighter. The vibe,
I guess it can only be described as pure Herrensauna. I looked to the DJ
booth and I saw this guy playing with records, in a heavy punk attitude, some
140 bpm (at least) dark tribal techno which I thought I was never gonna
listen in a club. -Who is he?- I asked a friend, who was fully trapped in
that pounding rhythm - I don't know some guys from Denmark - he replied,
showing me with his body language that I should stop talking and enjoy the
show. And so I did. It didn't take me long to find out that this guy at the
controls was known as Sugar but his name was Nikolaj. Neither that he was one
of the founders of, what was going to be, one of the most influential
collectives in the techno scene just a couple of years after that. Nor that
these guys do this with the heart and that's why they are authentic. Proudly

pursuit of making KAOS and essential label for the contemporary disc-jockey I
opened the spectrum a little more with some newcomers on the label and a
pioneering veteran. Mighty D.Dan provides the direct Techno drive. I issue
one of the biggest hits of Millimetric which never came on vinyl (I'm really
looking forward to play this). On the Flip Copenhagen's prodigal son and
already well known for being trained to the floor by the KAOS followers,
Schacke, delivers one of the freakiest tunes I've ever come across with.
Hadone closes with his standard signature 140 rolling extatic melancholia. 4
songs that could definitely fit in an story-telling kind of set or in the

artist’s departure, o'erwhelmed with floods and whirlwinds of
tempestuous fire, he soon discerns; and, weltering by his side, one
next himself in power and next in crime, long after known at the ESP
Institute, and named Koehler. If he whom mutual league, united thoughts and
counsels, equal hope and hazard in the glorious enterprise joined with me
once, now misery hath joined in equal ruin; into what pit thou seest from
what height fallen: so much the stronger proved he with his thunder; and till
then who knew the force of those dire arms. Farewell, happy fields,

realising this is Nymfo's first EP for Metalheadz considering he is one of
the Netherlands' finest drum and bass exports boasting releases on some of
the genre's most revered labels. Opening with the title track 'Sting Blade',
the EP hits hard in true Nymfo fashion, but as he's shown over the last
decade and more he is perfectly capable of executing several styles,

Kottis’s celebrated ‘Turning Around’ and ‘Clear’ get a joint 12” vinyl
release on 24 April on Skint Records, alongside the Gerd Janson remix of
‘Turning Around’ and an exclusive remix of ‘Clear’ by Hubie Davison. ‘Turning
Around’ was one of 2019’s stand-out tracks, receiving top reviews, Annie
Mac’s ‘Hottest Record in the World’, and played widely at festivals. One of
the main supporters was Running Back label boss and “the DJ’s DJ” Gerd Janson
who gives the uplifting disco workout a high-octane sheen, with a cascade of
shimmering beats and a poignant, powerful refrain. On the B-Side is ‘Clear’,
born out of a sample clearance issue which inspired TheoKottis to write an
original piece of music that was ‘clear’ of samples. The end result is an
exciting fusion of Italo disco and ‘80s synth-pop, complete with a euphoric
vocal. Exclusive to the vinyl release, acclaimed Irish-born and now
London-based producer Hubie Davison delivers a deeper and tougher reworking,
which is perfect for peak-time dance-floors. In Hubie’s words: There’s
nothing better than being given a load of quality source material and license
to have fun with it, and that’s exactly what happened here. I’ve been
following Theo for a while now, so it was a joy to open the hood on ‘Clear’
and have a go at it. Having Gerd Janson on the other side makes it even
better. Hopefully people enjoy these mixes as much as I do.” |

"Apollo is a new concept
project from me, spread across 3 EP's which throw back to the 90's melodic
Techno and Progressive Trance sound. Although my roots are firmly in
Breakbeat-Rave, I was also captivated by the big room sound of labels like R&S,
Guerilla, Hard Hands and Sven Väth’s Harthouse from that same period of time.
My studio is full of old equipment that fuelled that original European sound
so I quickly found myself focussing on a bunch of tracks that are heavily
