Italian
duo Night Passengers aka Nicola Loporchio and Emanuele Del Carmine serve up
their first collaborative album this summer. Find A Way comes on Born just a
year or so after the project was spontaneously formed during lockdown, and is
a seamless nine-track instrumental fusion of soul, jazz, funk, breaks and 80s
grooves. Nicola Loporchio is also known as Nico Lahs and Cosmic Garden and is
a producer with more than a decade's experience. In that time he has landed
on countless influential labels with a range of EPs and EPs that take in
everything from downtempo to deep house, hip hop to funk. During the
lockdowns of 2020, he hooked up with fellow Italian musician Emanuele Del
Carmine who has served up some fresh disco sounds in the last couple of years.
They began jamming together in early 2021 and soon found they shared common
ideas when it came to good time grooves. Now, that plays out across a proper
full-length that is perfect for close home listening and laid back Sundays,
but always with one eye on a cosy and intimate dance floor. This most
cohesive of works opens with the joyous keys of 'Moonlight Sonata' which sets
an immediately romantic mood. 'Illusion' is then a golden bit of jazz-funk
with warm, glowing chords and dusty broken beats that make you want to
shuffle. 'Wandering' is another piece of fine musicianship with perfect
interplay between the live drums, jazzy keys and cosmic leads. The title
track then slows things down. It's deep, spacious and atmospheric with
suggestive bass, pillowy chords and distant melodies twinkling like stars in
a night sky. 'Escape On A Sunny Sunday' has a lush retro-future feel, with
freeform keys racing about the scales as the cosmic leads and tight drums tie
the whole track together. During 'Moments Of Insanity,' the album launches
further into the cosmos on waves of radiant melody and splashy cymbals. 'Past
Memories' taps into 80s nostalgia with more blurry-edged chords and natty
synth sequences riding on louche drums. The heady 'On A Cloud' is a go-slow
piece that invites you into a seductive jazz-funk dreamworld and lastly,
Brazilian Zopelar remixes 'Illusion' into a tumbling bit of boogie-tinged
house funk. Find A Way is a vibrant work from seasoned musicians whose
virtuoso playing brings every track to life in a heartwarming fashion |

Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say
Nothing, the debut album from Discharge originally released in 1982, is
widely considered to be a defining statement of hardcore and punk in general.
Coming on the back of several well recieved EP's and singles, with this album
Discharge laid down the blueprint for a new sound in punk rock. The songs are
short, played at a constant high speed, abrasive and minimalist. Riffs were a
near constant wall of ferocious strumming, aided by a constant, monotonous
percussion that would become quickly known as 'D-beat'. Lyrically Discharge
were leftist in nature, dealing with anarchist and pacifist morals that, when
coupled with Cold War era fear, created nihilistic and alienating themes.
Discharge were true originals on the punk scene who are now credited with
helping to the shape the sound of everything from thrash metal to crust punk

Wachten.
Wie houdt daar nu van? Het Zesde Metaal ook niet. Dat draaien met hun vingers
toen de wereld stilviel, dat waren ze op den duur grondig beu. Spelen, dat
wilden ze! Dus hielden ze in het voorjaar van 2021 hun Half etmaal met Het
Zesde Metaal en speelden ze bij de noorderburen een 2 Meter Sessie. Wat hen
op een idee bracht: "Zo'n unplugged album, dáár hebben we wel 'ns goeste
in." Niet getalmd, meteen Koen Gisen (Meskerem Mees, The Bony King of
Nowhere, ...) bellen. Of ze hem én zijn studio konden boeken? De band nam er
zijn back catalogue bij, selecteerde oud en minder oud werk, bekende en
minder bekende songs, voegde er een cover aan toe én schreef een gloednieuw
nummer. Acht tracks, waarvan zeven in een nieuw jasje, rechttoe rechtaan, zo
goed als live opgenomen. Zo puur hoorde je songs als Gasten, De Onvolledigen
of Liefde niet eerder. Zo ver kropen ze nog niet onder je huid. De cover is
Gelijk Hoe, hun versie van REM's monsterhit Everybody Hurts, die tot op heden
enkel verkrijgbaar was als B-kant van een exclusieve single. En dan het
gloednieuwe Wachten... Zowaar een pianoballad. En wat voor één! De stemmige
piano en ingetogen zang vatten treffend het verweesde gevoel van de periode
die we stilaan achter ons kunnen laten. Bloedmooi. Het wachten waard. En je
hoéft er niet eens op te wachten! Werd het geduld van de fans voor
dubbelelpee Live 2020 nog op de proef gesteld door technische hobbels bij het
persen van de plaat, 'Wachten' is gewoon helemaal klaar. Ingepakt en al. Je
kan hem vanaf nú bestellen en dan gaat hij meteen de deur uit. Want wie houdt
er nu van wachten? Welnu, wij voortaan |

Mekano-Turbo
(Discos Esplendor Geométrico.LP 1988) is the fourth album and a classic
inside the discography of legendary and influential Spanish Industrial cult
band Esplendor Geométrico. Now available again in its original format,
remastered in 2022, and unavailable on vinyl for more than 11 years. Finally,
the fury is unleashed in all its splendour. The superb three initial tracks
are pure rhythmic adrenaline on which is supported the totally runaway voice
of Arturo Lanz. "Rotor" would be even considered as a not
intentioned approximation to the electronic body music. In the same wave are
also located "Belew" and "Mekano-Turbo". On the other
hand, it seems to be that the residence of Gabriel in Melilla (North Africa)
and the consequent proximity of the arabic culture it influences on some
tracks ("Sheikh", "Transmisión"). Considered by the media
and many fans as a masterpiece of the group. The wonderful cover continues

contributions to Manchester based label Chequered Wax and an emotionally
elevated weapon on Groove Estate Records in June last year, 1OPILLS025 Sees
Eyerate continue to explore the outer limits of techno, trance and
future-facing club; in an EP both clinical and entrancing. The Norwich based
producer wastes no time with a thunderous opening on 'Undone' - a kick-drum
enthralled in reverb and so heavy, it's destined to blow the roof off any
club system. Rave painted tabs and underlining atmospherics give the track an
even greater sense of largeness; best heard in dark corners with
high-ceilings. A masterclass in contrast 'IDK You' bulldozes through with its
threatening, industrial tone; its peripheral vision absorbed in light, as
lasers shoot straight ahead. 'Twenty Angels' aptly follows-suit with its
knee-jerking grooves and pace setting enthusiasm. The track's beauty comes
from how it muses between hypnotic states of consciousness and raw,

2014 Stones Taro has been delivering his own take on the UK sound, heavily
influenced by rave, jungle, garage and breakbeat. Now the Kyoto, Japan based
artist makes his Breaks 'N' Pieces debut with four intricately laced cuts on
August 20th, continuing to break the mould and recontextualize his own sonic
palette. 'Again' opens proceedings with deep wobbling bass that finds its way
from your ears and down to your toes, coupled with dub style chords and vibey
vocal loops, to help keep the steppers moving to the early hours. 'Come Over
Me' picks up where 'Again' left off with glossy lipped vocals and oscillating
snare drums, resulting in a track perfect for warming up the dance floor.
Glistening synths sparkle just above choppy breaks and spacious bass in
'Yakusugi' - as it's ethereal sensibility adds a different dynamic altogether
to Stones Taro's ever evolving sonic armour. Every sound in closing track
'Rare' is carefully placed and nuanced; as one tone reflects off the next in

Japan producer Stones Taro has been making waves recently with his sick blend
of percussion led UK-funky, house, garage, stripped back jungle and hefty UK
influence; whether it's serving up grimey shellers or screwface bassline, he
always brings the heat. The versatile producer readies four of his finest
dubs yet on Cheeky Sneakers and thrusts himself into a the spotlight
currently shining on Asia's underground electronic circuit. 'Step Into
Midnight' skanks into the frame with it's energetic 2-step and glitched-out
vocal stabs creating a sense of grimey energy, before 'Emotions' begins to
tug on the heartstrings with its teary-eyed, bubblegum UKG flavour; pitched
vocals giving off nostalgic early 00's wifey riddim vibes. Garage made with
real tears. The second half of the record showcases Stones Taro's knack for
jungle, previously explored most extensively on his release with Third Place.
Classic R&B samples are intertwined with stripped back breaks and
dubbed-out basslines on 'Spend The Night' to create a vibe similar to that
championed by Ghost Phone, with their distinct reshaping of 90's R&B
through a contemporary lens. 'Change The Mood' sees us out with a score that
wouldn't sound out of place reverberating off the walls of a NYC underground
as a busking drummer uses what he has to create a mood; a beauty lying within

with typically breaksy, UK focused EP on Distant Horizons that further

Following releases on Time Is Now and an announcement on Desert Sound
Colony's Holding Hands sub-label, Yosh serves up four steppers that navigate
us from the doors of the club to front left of the speaker. 'Don't Say' is a
fast cut of subby breakbeat-garage; the producer's knack for emotionally
stimulating vocal samples and peak-time basslines moving into the frame. 'All
That Acid' gives squirming acid lines and stripped-back percussion, mutating
the breaksy, UK energy into something more electro focused, and in doing so
provides what could be the score for an old racing video game, before 'Choose
One' takes us back into familiar Yosh territory with a cut of dreamy garage,
with the odd dubby wobble for good measure. We finish on a personal note with

artist Trudge returns to Lobster Theremin with his debut LP No More
Motivation arriving on March 18th with a genre-bending and original
masterstroke; charged as it is cerebral. The album's concept points to the
artist's tumultuous relationship with music; plagued by life events and the
looming shadow of tragedy. That same relationship however, has led to an
album of nuance, a cathartic whirlwind that pushes and pulls from one part of
the psyche to the next. From the laden house sounds found in his earlier
work, to the hard-hitting emotive techno we hear today, both Trudges'
personal and artistic evolution runs parallel, drawing between the lines of
introspection and dance music's modern functionality. Bangkok Radio kicks off
proceedings with a reminiscent drive through the city's bustling landscape,
as space unfolds the further we travel from the hustle and bustle of daily
life. No Motivation, meaningless is a nod to the producer's headspace -
burdened by the unpredictability of reality and it's governing influence on
art; echoing throughout the entire album. Mazzomba explores the duality of
light and dark; heavily submerged sounds can be heard melting below the
surface, as airy synths create an ethereal glow - acting as our torch through
the crud-infested trench. The album's interlude 'Berserk' provides a rest
bite, an ambient dreamscape laced with deeply layered textures - casting warm
fluorescent light amongst the clouds as balance is restored. Tracks Dead
Orange and Gradient demonstrate the artist's knact for intelligent
sound-design and world-building soundscapes, while Unghosted and Punishments
sees Trudge venture into raw and unwavering compositions created for the
dancefloor. Closing the album is Blue Ritual, a thought-provoking piece that
has the ability to transport and heal. It's introspective layers point to the

weight to the needle. Despite his status as a key figure in the history of
Japanese ambient music, Hiroshi Yoshimura's music remains tragically
under-known outside of his home country. Empire of Signs – a new imprint
co-helmed by Maxwell August Croy and Spencer Doran – is proud to reissue
Yoshimura's debut Music for Nine Postcards for the first time outside Japan
in collaboration with Hiroshi's widow Yoko Yoshimura, with more fully
licensed reissues of Hiroshi's work to follow in the future. Working
initially as a conceptual artist, the musical side of Yoshimura's artistic
practice came to prominence in the post-Fluxus scene of late 1970s Tokyo
alongside Akio Suzuki and Takehisa Kosugi, taking many subsequent turns
within Japan’s bubble economy afterward. His sound works took on many forms -
commissioned fashion runway scores, soundtracking perfume, soundscapes for
pre-fab houses, train station sound design - all existing not as side work
but as logical extensions of his philosophy of sound. His work strived for
serenity as an ideal, and this approach can be felt strongly on Music for
Nine Postcards. Home recorded on a minimal setup of keyboard and Fender
Rhodes, Music for Nine Postcards was Yoshimura’s first concrete collection of
music, initially a demo recording given to the Hara Museum of Contemporary
Art to be played within the building's architecture. This was not mere
background music in the prior Japanese “BGM” sense of the word, but
“environmental” music, the literal translation of the Japanese term kanky?
ongaku [????] given to Brian Eno’s “ambient” music when it arrived in late
70's Japan. Yoshimura, along with his musical co-traveler Satoshi Ashikawa,
searched for a new dialog between sound and space, a new way of listening:
sound not as an absolute, but as something that interlocks with a physical
environment and shifts the listener’s experience within it. Erik Satie's
furniture music, R. Murray Schafer's concept of the soundscape and Eno’s
ambience all greatly informed their work, but the specific form of tranquil
stasis presented on releases like Nine Postcards is still difficult to place
within a specific tradition, remaining elusive and idiosyncratic despite the
economy of it's construction. This record offers the perfect introduction to
Hiroshi's unique and beautiful worldview: it's one that can be listened to -
and lived in - endlessly |

Alleviated Records is proud to
present a special re-issue of the Alien project. Larry Heard's productions
always hinted at deepest outer space, but Alien was his first actual
science-fiction record. It's almost as polished as the most mainstream dance
production, but just as sublime as any Detroit producer. Heard's house roots
often show themselves, while the chords and shimmering production make this
an album almost on par with Heard's mid-'80s peak. The project was a
recording & sound-development experiment that was mostly constructed

Token with a 12" of reliable effect, Sterac (a.k.a. Steve Rachmad)
offers 4 titles that go beyond the club - balancing raw Detroit influences
and contemporary depth. With a reputation built on years of developing his
scene through important record releases and local as well as international
activity, 'Light in the Darkness' confirms Rachmad's artistic relevance in a
quickly developing scene. With a tone-setting introduction for the EP,
Rachmad immediately grips the listener's attention with the pragmatic yet
nostalgic 'Mangled'. Chord stabs inch away from a brutal on-beat drum
sequence, a technique responsible for many hits in the genre, this time
tastefully repolished through spreaded wooden percussion in direct support.
'Mangled' boasts what A1's should - a worthy first impression - before luring
us into what can be considered the apex of the EP. 'Light in the Darkness'
claims the project title with a gradual exploration through celestial bodies.
A minimal opening with a simple acid bassline shows a great deal of attitude
before the listener gets caught in an unexpected tide of cosmic pads,
dimensionalizing an initially linear record . With slow waves of rich synth
work enveloping the only anchor to time that is rhythm, the result is a
closed-eyed dance floor experience to be selected in prime conditions. Thick
pads are immediately offered again, this time more orchestral than mental.
The softness of this primary sound design is expertly dissected by a razor
sharp resonant top synth and an upward drum construction, completing the
spectrum of sound and unveiling a record with a size fit for warehouse
capacities. Rachmad adds almost cinematic suspense to the EP with 'S.O.' -
certainly not to be underestimated. This leads us to the project's closer
'Solidify', a delirious club groover. With a sound as bent and confronting as
a house of mirrors, Rachmad leaves us with a final chapter to keep the heart
racing past the end |

producer Jai Dee debuts on 1O Pills Mate following a string of hot airwave

NTS show. Kicking us off is an emotional cut of happycore; brimming with
dense keys, hardcore aesthetics and sweaty hug energy, and this mood pours
into 'Free Falling Into Darkness' as the warehouse rave feel explodes in a
cloud of acid smiley's and breakbeats. Stepping out of the darkness and into
the light, 'Beyond Crystal Rain' quite literally sounds like thousands of
gems smashing into the ground below; it's ethereal synth patterns and
otherworldly textures providing a sonic outer-body experience. This
transcendence continues on the 140 mix of 'Inner Wall Of The Oort Cloud';
uplifting atmospherics and heart-string tugging vocal samples creating a vibe

Leeds
based Peaky Beats follows up a killer release on Breaks N Pieces and
self-released collaborative EP with Highrise with four cuts of ragga-tipped
Dub that show a different sonic side to the typically lairy producer. It also
comes complete with a remix from aya, the artist behind one of last year's
most impressive tapes - I'm Hole. LOTR-inspired 'Helms Deep' is a melodic
battlecry; what would have been played when the Rohan army defeated Sauron's
forces had 140bpm dubstep existed within Tolkien's fantasy world - haunting,
meditative and deadly. 'Shire Steppin' makes clever use of stripped-back
production with oddball samples and reggae-inspo that inspires mental images
of hobbits smoking around a fire. What was in Gandalf's pipe anyway? 'Turn
Up' maintains the cemented minimal aesthetic, this time with a more tribal
approach than ragga; swirling atmospherics soar overhead before screw-face
dubs and heavy bass-weight invites the contemplative darkness across the
threshold. Heady electronic and tribal traditions continue on 'Greywind' with
more ragga-tipped goodness best played at 4am through the early morning haze.
Aya's remix is typically brilliant - remaining at 140bpm, a standout producer
of 2021 delivers a devastating, roughly chopped cut of malfunctioning dubstep

Following
the release of Twisted Heads comes Slacker's most complete work to date. The
artist's debut LP - What Would I Do With Saturn - arrives on Lobster Theremin
on Friday 2nd July and demonstrates Slacker's killer ear for capturing the
cross-sections that exist within UK sound; floating between the artist's drum
& bass upbringing and introspective, world-building electronica.
"The main idea was to think 'what would an outside observer to our
planet think when looking down at this moment in time, what does the moon
think when looking down on us?'" he says. "It was a way of me both
building another world whilst also expressing the strife of the world that we
were living in. I was lucky enough to be quite secluded in the first lockdown
around a lot of nature, but then feeling the isolation ten-fold as I was so
far away from civilisation. I think that the album has this schism
represented in it with the more classically "nice" tracks standing
next to the more aggressive and expressive tracks; it is both an escape and
capturing of the world we live in." Designed to have inward-gazing and
aggressive tracks side by side - to represent the day to day mood swings that
only extensive isolation can bring - the record is a tripped-out voyage
through rich, flora-drenched ecosystems and Halo ring worlds. A cathartic
release to heavy isolation, the album opens with 'deep in the forest, a
sacred pool' - angelic tones and tranquil chords symbolising a melting in the
ocean, the contemplative silence that comes when one puts their head beneath
water, shutting out the outside world. 'As I Fear The Ground Opening'
represents the anxious rush when the bubbles start to rush and your time of
total freedom reaches its inevitable end; it's frantic drum patterns scoring
an intense scene, trancey atmospherics enticing you to keep turning the
corner. 'Unturned' continues down the cinematic route, before the B-side
introduces Slacker's breaks heritage: 'One Hundred Ideas' sounding reminiscent
of the fire wave of experimental, stripped-back percussion currently
championed by the likes of Al Wooton and his TRULE label; green fields,
optimism and wicked breaks. 'My Own Moon' channels open-the-clubs energy with
a percussive melter, before completing the B-side with a call to arms on 'The
New Face of England'; it's trap-techno energy encapsulating the anger and
frustration felt in the face of rising English nationalism. Staying true to
the testament of his most complete work to date, Slacker relentlessly
switches up his sonic palette in pursuit of differing - yet uniquely
connected - experiences, entering future-electro territory on the C-side |

Rising
St Petersburg producer Meowsn purrs onto ROOB for the Running Out Of Steam
sub-labels inaugural release, bringing the producer's trademark choppy
hip-hop, sleazy hip-house and nostalgic radiance on a killer debut. There's a
free jazz spirit that flows through CATMOUSEGAME2; the dusty smell of an
underground speakeasy can almost be felt on the EPs opener - 'DrunkCat' - a
bouncing cut of NYC influenced hip hop that inspires images of large concrete
buildings and greetings on the street. Appropriately named, this might be
what those jazz-cats in Aristocats would be making had the movie not been for
children. The subterranean spirit of hip hop is alive still on 'Wistleman';
an improvised jazz cut that is simple and effective, before heads begin bopping
with a little more conviction on the low-swing and vibrant soul of 'Ganksta';
infectious hip-house that can't help but be moved to. The A-side completes
with an alternative listening experience; subdued and experimental it
encapsulates the energy of a lowly-lit after hours joint, before the
dub-peppered vibes and let-go-for-a-walk basslines of 'Cashflow' invite you
back to the dancefloor, 'Ladies You Know' maintaining that same
scratch-influenced nostalgia that just feels oh so warm. Rounding off the
B-side is 'Winter Swapping'; cold winds whip up a storm as snowflakes slowly

Bonzai
Classics continues to dig into the archives, selecting some of the best retro
gems. DJ Looney Tune is next in line for the vinyl treatment and we’ve got
two bangers to make it even more special. DJ Looney Tune is the brainchild of
top Belgian artist Ramses De Craene, who is also known for several other
projects such as, Da Tune, Freeze, Hard Beatz, M.W.F., R.A.M.S.E.S. and
Tazmanian. He has also worked in several groups, notably Black Widow, Bomb
Trexx, Hard Beatz, Mental Refreshment, Oddworld (with Laurent Veronnez),
Phrenetic System, Repulsive 2 (with Stefan Melis), The Bomb Squad, The Sync
(with Mike Dierickx) and Zenith where he contributed heavily to the early
Bonzai sound. Under his DJ Looney Tune guise, he was responsible for many top
hits in Europe and across the world, Beatbox on Bonzai Records, Jumpin' &
Pumpin' on Bonzai Jumps and Boom On The Moon on Axma among others. It was
these tracks that catapulted his presence on the scene and when Workstation
hit the sound systems things took off even bigger. The track was synonymous
with peak time moments in clubs where it brought the crowd higher and higher
with its trancey techno style. Several remixes were commissioned soon after,
with M.I.K.E.'s Energized Remix doing the business, thanks to his magic
touch. On this freshly squeezed 10” vinyl we’ve got M.I.K.E.’s famous remix
along with the much tougher, edgier Jumpin’ & Pumpin’. A perfect addition

legend, Jens Lissat aka The Godfather Of Techno, joins forces with our very
own Bonzai All Stars for the next Bonzai Records release titled, The Machine.
Cut onto 12” vinyl, The Machine comes backed up with three solid remixes,
offering a wide range of styles to get the party rocking. Jens Lissat is one
of the biggest names in the club scene. His extraordinary career began in
Hamburg in 1979 when he took up DJing. In the 90's he was one of the founders
of German Techno with projects like Interactive (Who is Elvis) and his label
No Respect Records with his partner Ramon Zenker. Jens first appeared on
Bonzai with his Prayers project, the track Imagination got a run out in 1997
on Bonzai Classics and Zounds and then in 2002 on XTC. The kings of the party
Bonzai All Stars aka Christian Fly Pieters and Dany Van Der Rieten have been
grabbing a lot of attention with their studio antics. This one marks their
third effort as they take the retro rave sound, mix it up with contemporary
techno grooves and spit out some good vibes. Gracing the A side we have the
Original Mix, which quickly forms into a dark, grizzly techno monster.
Frantic patterns converge to the backdrop of powerful kick drums and a
sinister pad. The break reveals a classic element before the build-up takes
us to a huge climax that will definitely excite the floors. The mighty Push
fills the A2 slot, digging out his infamous techno style for an adrenaline
fuelled ride. Pounding kicks and superbly constructed percussions whip up the
crowd as gnarly synth stabs and gritty basses contrast with dreamy vox and
trance-like sounds. On the flip, Anonymize takes up the B1 slot. Fresh off
the back of his Bonzai debut – Zombie Woman, the remix here takes on a
full-blown techno persona. Dark and twisting, the groove lures you in,
forcing you to move. Kai 5 concludes the release with a top-notch remix.
Better known as Paul Mendez, his newly formed Kai 5 project debuted here with
Strange Days, which quickly climbed the charts on many portals. On the remix,
the order of the day is to deliver maximum impact and, thanks to a strong,
rhythmic drum arrangement and dark rumbling basses, he does just that.
Sweeping synths roll through as acid lines dish out that familiar squelch. An
infectious groove that is destined to burn up the floors |

Y U QT are back on Time Is Now,
and with them they're bringing the sun. "Sweet Fantasy" EP sees the
Leicester duo return to what they do best: capturing UKG at its least
po-faced, and most energetic. And who better to help kick off proceedings than
the one of the most recognisable voices in today's UKG revival? Ell Murphy's
smooth-as-syrup vocals add another level of dynamism to the already-buoyant
4x4 garage banger "Fantasy", coming complete with a hook just as
irresistible as the ones which shot their previous releases to success.
"Buss Down" picks up the energy with propulsive kickdrums and old
school MC vocal chops before "Leaving All Your Cares Behind"
follows suit, adding a feel-good vocal melody for an extra serotonin hit.
It's up to the more light-footed "Just Be Friends" to leave a sweet
taste in our mouths. Euphoric Korg organ stabs give a sense of nostalgia
whilst a meandering bassline lends it plenty of swing. Sweet Fantasy EP drops

Midwest
techno titan DJ Speedsick debuts on TITDM with five monstrous cuts,
permeating with grunge flavored grooves and hypnotic rhythms - including a
bonus digi track on 'Midwest Death Trance EP'. Opener 'Spun 21' sets the tone
for the record, wasting no time in getting started. The track's rolling
basslines stretch out underneath deep, weighty percussion, in a pumping club
track with both warm and driving qualities. The US based artist continues his
quest of making the most relentless and uncompromising techno in 'Low Places'
before 'Tital Therapy' enters the frame with its louring kick drums,
interwoven amongst a backdrop of industrial, dystopian unrest. B side opener
'Exact Change' is minimal in its approach, but no less effective; proving
that sometimes all we need is a hammering kick drum, killer rides and
understated bass notes to make people lose their minds. The record comes to a
close with the heads down grooves of 'Your Turn To Fall' a seductive piece,
teasing and taunting; before the digi only 'Glad To Get Away' keeps bodies
moving as the club shuts and the after party begins |
