An Endless Feast For Hyenas is
the Decasia debut album.A creative turning point is gradually taken, looking
for more heavy psych and krautrock touches. The first trials of this debut
album AN ENDLESS FEAST FOR HYENAS are directly tested on stage to feel their
live impact. This album is a complete and deep dive into the Decasia's
universe: a wide, eclectic and powerful effort. The trio drags us quickly
with a psychedelic rock sound nuanced with stoner and almost narrative
instrumental passages. Taking the path of improvisations to write and
compose, the album is recorded in the middle of the countryside in Auvergne
(France). The house is transformed into a studio with instruments installed
in the barn and the control room in the living room. Recorded & mixed by

Ronettes' riveting harmonies, the rock excess of Johnny Thunders and punky

Theremin debut with five lairy cuts of end-of-the-world techno and electro.
'Orbital' is a simple, no frills track; uncompromising in-your-face energy meets
melting acidic basslines on a 4x4 rhythm, before the noise breaks on 'Space
Invader' and a mutated electro-step emerges out from a dark alleyway covered
in slime. Dubstep/footwork blends increase the velocity on 'You Got Me'; new
territory for the emerging producer and one that we can't wait to see him

Nikki
Nair is fast becoming one of the most diverse and forward-thinking artists in
electronic music, flying the flag for increasingly hybridized methods and
doing it your own way. His sound is inimitable and cannot be defined; readily
bottling a multitude of emotions in a relatively short space of time. Nikki's
meteoric rise has come in the form of eclectic releases like his 'More is
Different' EP on Dirtybird to the downright filthy and party-starting 'Trying
To' on Bristol's Scuffed Recordings - Influenced by anything from Detroit
techno, to lush ambient soundscapes and Florida breaks. The Knoxville born,
Atlanta based producer continues his journey through shape shifting universes
on his debut for Lobster Theremin, with five different but equally impressive
tracks. 'Shufflin' kick starts the EP in Nikki's signature, unpredictable
style; as squelchy bass-lines growl at heavily swung drums and low pitched
vocal loops, before 'WWC' - an off-kilter minimal stepper, walks the
tight-rope between entropy and synchronized dance. 'I Can't Stop' meanders
from kinky bass & breaks, to deconstructed dubstep and trap; causing more
facial expressions in six minutes than ever thought possible. Nair's
hybridized methods continue to shine through in 'Yoland And His Tortoise' - a
trippy and colourful dream told through nuance in sound. The EP then closes
off with the laid-back grooves of 'Urquoise' - a hypnotising ritual best
practiced in nature |

All rise for Skeleton King. The
Bristol based producer lines up his Lobster Theremin debut with Deep Into The
Night four tracks that highlight the emotional nuances of the skeletal sound.
Skeleton King has a knack for the large; be it lairy, UKG basslines or lo-fi
alternative pop there's a quiet confidence in his ability to jump between
genres so effortlessly. 'Anxiety' begins as a half-time, bass-driven stepper
and finishes on some sort of ragga-dub tip, and those horns! Clearly inspired
by the producer's time in Bristol it's an instant rave starter. 'Deep Into
The Night' combines the producer's love for breaks and garage on a
wubbed-out, atmospheric 2-step before 'Of Course, All The Time' pursues the
cinematic on a marching, ancestral rhythm. We finish on 'There's Something
About You Boy'; wriggling synths, malfunctioning electronics and wifey riddim

breaks-fuelled dubs for the Lobster White Label series. Having become one of
the go-to names for high quality electro, breakbeat and jungle over the last
few years - thanks to releases on Sherelle and NAINA's Hooversound
Recordings, EBeamz and WNCL Recordings - the UK producer picks up where he
left off, re-imagining rave futurism and hardcore sounds through his own
distinctive lens. 'Digital Projection' is a terrifying cut of grime-laced
jungle. Stripped-back, but packing a punch, its large, alien-like wubs will

The
debut release of Pola / Пола record label, founded as
an extension of the Half club in Belgrade, which became one of the most
prominent hotspots of underground music and culture in Serbia. The Owl Dance
EP is composed and produced by Tijamara, the new electronic music duo formed
by sisters Tijana and Tamara Ristić, with one remix by the eminent
producer Alexis Cabrera. The A-side is opened by the track Sisters, which is
the introduction to Tijamara's world, filled with the contrasts of their
personalities. The track Owl Dance will take you on a journey to their
birthplace Kikinda, the small town in the north of Serbia, which has the
largest long-eared owl roost in the world. The B-side is dedicated to their
Romanian roots and great-grandmother Rakila, after whom they named the track.
The deep and wavy minimal sound, inwrought with Tamara's unique stylized
singing, will make you feel the spirit of Banat prairie. Maestro Alexis
Cabrera remixed this track and converted it into the Half's vibe of the
rising Sun |

When dubwise music really started
to come into its own in the early to mid 70s, it made overnight stars of
backroom boys who had hitherto worked behind a mixing desk to serve those who
were beginning to hoist reggae to an international stardom that it had long
deserved, but that it had only achieved on short and non-sustained bursts
until Chris Blackwell decided to throw a lot of promotion and money at the
work of Bob Marley and his fellow Wailers in 1972. Of those men, there was no
bigger star than the late Osbourne Ruddock, the great King Tubby's and the
man who, from a tiny home-made studio in the Waterhouse district of Kingston,
Jamaica, did more than most to reposition the boundaries that production and
mixing of Jamaican recordings |
