Bourassa Records hosts PROCK's
expert in broken sounds. An electronic wizard based in Lodz, he has been
patiently cultivating his skills for many years, where back in the days he
was familiar with the hip hop flavour. He made his debut with the EP 'Cosmic
Lover' in the Rokt Laks project, released in 2016 by POGO House Records. Then
the beat-making sneaker went towards UK Garage and 2Step. It can be said that
he is fresh blood in the Polish field of electronic music. The upcoming EP
'Champ Sound' is a strong material full of UKG sounds, it pays tribute to the
old school garage vibes, enriched with characteristic vocals and moogy
baselines for this genre. On the B-side you can expect great remixes from
Polish homies such as PENERA & Private Press. The record is to be
released at the turn of summer holidays. It will be available in two formats,

Another side of Serge Gainsbourg
permeates this 1963 film soundtrack about
stripper lost in the nocturnal world' of Paris, according to director
Jacques Poitrenaud, who cast Nico in the lead role (after her appearance in
La Dolce Vita and just prior to the single she cut with Jimmy Page for Andrew
Loog Oldham). Created by Gainsbourg with arranger and longstanding
collaborator Alain Gourager, the music is fittingly the cool jazz of dingy
nightclubs and seedy bordellos, with Gainsbourg on piano, and there's the
sultry title track, delivered breathlessly by Juliette Greco. Another lost
gem for all serious Gainsbourg fans |

Our
next adventures on Bonzai Records 12-inch vinyl sees Belgian DJ and studio
duo, Bonzai All Stars unleash their banging new track titled, X Ta Cee, which
features three fine remixes covering a range of styles. Christian Pieters and
Dany Van Der Reiten are the brains behind this project and they continue to
impress with every release. With more than three decades in electronic dance
music under their belts, they have a vast wealth of knowledge and experience,
which manifests in their solid production methods. When they’re not in the
studio, they can be found behind the decks at parties and festivals all over
Europe, raising the roof with their blistering tracks and on-stage antics. In
the A1 slot, the Original Mix intros with a pounding kick drum and hypnotic
vocal leading the way. Wailing sirens fade up alongside scathing acid lines
as bright, crispy hats cut through the bassy tones. The filters open and
close on the 303 patterns, creating chaotic scenes in the groove before a
huge climax takes us to the final act. The next interpretation comes from the
mighty Jones & Stephenson who take up the A2 slot, staying true to their
explosive sound we know and love. The track intros with metallic percussions
and a slowly fading in vocal. Chest pounding kick drums and an instantly
recognisable vox stab come through, teasing us with an impending melody that
doesn’t materialise. Scathing acid lines converge, driving the groove to a
darker world, sending the dancefloor into a frenzy. A must have, no doubt. On
the flip, the legendary Yves Deruyter’s remix resides in the B1 position.
Yves is responsible for countless mega hits over his 30 plus years as an
artist, and here, he raises the energy levels with a monster effort. On the
intro, huge arena style kicks are joined by slicing hats as tension builds
with gnarly synth stabs and that infectious siren sound. Bubbling 303 lines
take the groove to critical mass, becoming acerbic as the knobs are tweaked
resulting in a top-notch cut that will destroy the dancefloor. Manu Riga
& Phi Phi take the B2 slot, rounding out the release with a solid effort.
A hugely successful studio partnership has seen these guys churn out
outstanding tracks over the last number of years and they are not stopping
just yet. Here, they make their mark with a fine, progressive inspired
groove. Tight beats and sharp hats are joined by acid stabs and a rumbling
bassline. Soft arps contrast with sweeping 303 riffs as the vocal is
scattered throughout. The break reveals a darker side with gritty basses
dominating before the main groove returns for the duration |

With
thirty years of active, nefarious service under their bulletbelts,
NECROPHOBIC are undisputed legends of the death and black metal underground.
Formed in 1989 by drummer Joakim Sterner, the Stockholm blackhearts
propagated a singular and fearless vision from the very start, confirming
their prowess with now legendary debut album The Nocturnal Silence in 1993.
Eschewing the self-conscious amateurism and primitive sonics that many of
their peers held dear, NECROPHOBIC established a bold and vivid identity of
their own, conjuring a densely melodic but endlessly wicked take on macabre
extreme metal that countless lesser bands have since emulated. With
"Death To All", the 6th full/length album, NECROPHOBIC already
injected its blasphemous attack metal, not to mention a great attention to
instrumental detail. Compared to the more melodic release
"Hrimthursum" from 2006, "Death To All" is without a
doubt on of the darkest and coldest musical experiences you will find in this

Chicago's MOCK EXECUTION return
with 9 tracks of unadulterated sonic aggression. Their debut LP Killed By
Mock Execution takes cues from the dirtier sides of both Finish and Japanese
hardcore while keeping their engineer boots firmly set on the traditional UK
crust sound of yesteryear. Executing a magnificent hybrid of DOOM and GLOOM,
GAI, KAAOS, and the entire early 2000's Crust War catalogue, MOCK EXECUTION
tear through flanger solos, huge crash cymbals, burly driven bass and NO
SECURITY split era intros and that's only part way to the band-s sound.
Recorded by the band on an 8 track tape recorder at their tiny practice
space, during the height of global pandemic and civil unrest in the USA
between 2020 and 2021, and graced with artwork by the inimitable Monykaos |

A new entity has made musical
contact with Shipwrec. Alpha Vistor. The newly minted moniker of musician and
sound designer Ivan Zapico, this four tracker debut is steeped in the
traditions of electro. In the ghostly "Ciudad Fantasma" threats lurk
in the murky shadows of basslines and beats, an unsettling atmosphere of
menace penetrating speakers from the outset. Clinical percussion and an
overarching unease introduce "20202020." Dark undercurrents of
melody brood below shimmering glass chords in this foreboding work. The flip
comes to life with "Malos Tiempos para la Guerra," an ominous
prescience coming to bear in the track title. A hi-hat haze is broken by
sweetened strings, a kick drum maintaining the intensity. When a snare
arrives, it is accompanied by greasy acid basslines; brightness countered
with shadow. The final encounter comes with "Templo de Cova." A
soaked beat surfaces amid stabbing sythlines and twilight tones that break to
triumphal highs, a reflective culmination to this ruminative record |

As
one half of the Psychick Warriors Ov Gaia Robbert Heynan helped define the
burgeoning sound of Tribal Techno in the early 90s, the duo produced a slyly
conceptual and wonderfully cohesive body of work which included, amongst
others, 3 classic albums, many groundbreaking singles and a Radio 1 Peel
Session. In 1992 Heynan left to pursue a solo project under the name
Exquisite Corpse and continued to release an inimitable string of House and
Techno tracks, his production techniques and meshing of styles resulted in a
unique signature that refuses to be categorised still to this day. For
WRECKS042, Klasse Wrecks is proud to present a repress of one of Robbert's
most hidden records, long out of stock around the world and well under the
radar is the 'Chief' EP. Originally released in 1996 on Dutch label Prime the
two tracks from the original EP have been remastered and are presented
alongside two brand new and unheard versions, which have been laying dormant
since waiting for the right time to peer out into the daylight. The resulting
record is a wonderful capsule and insight to the body of work and creativity
of Robbert, at times dark and hypnotic, introspective and heady but with the
crosshairs always firmly set on the dance floor |

buildings at dinner time, the scents of foreign spices that join the bubbling
of traditional sauteed vegetables. My sound speaks as if it were a friendly discussion
between grandmothers, prostitutes and drug dealers who frequent the same
benches drinking iced tea in the afternoon. The determination of my music is
the same as those who have nothing to lose and want to overturn the existing.

Music
to remember. "Controlled Impulses" presents Jeroen Search's first
solo debut on KEY Vinyl. Known for his bleepy mind-bending sound signature,
the Dutch artist once again proves his mastery in the art of production. With
this album, Search exposes his creative versatility by delving into an
exquisitely dreamy reality. Rather than a dance floor oriented selection,
"Controlled Impulses" contains a more cinematic, melodic
inclination- an ode to the capacity of music to transport the listener to
other worldly dimensions. The album is crafted to be a phonic journey, where
"Sky Hook" functions as the entry portal. Soft pads are accompanied
by a low cheeky bassline and the classic Search bleeps resulting in a magic
lullaby. With "Atmospheric Entry" the artist guides us into a deep,
dubby grove- still maintaining a strong emotional density. Up and next goes
the B side with "Processor Six" and "Kontrol Freak". Here
things start to get bouncy, as B1 warms up the energy with a partial broken
kick drum and peeping cymbals. B2 announces the climax of the album's journey
where the spheric hypnotic soundscape meets a punchy rhythmic construction.
Once again a cheeky rolling bassline is present to fill all the blank
spots... You start feeling the desire to move your limbs... And in this
moment the body will join the mind in that very faraway universe. With the
second record, side C continues the progression by combining thumpy rhythmic
elements to whimsical melodies. The final flip concludes the journey with
three tracks: "Neowise", "Telescope Station" and
"Sensory Nerves"- and here the energy shifts once again into an
almost melancholic direction, entering the final stage of the journey.
Something in the tracks tells you it's almost over and time to return to
reality... An impeccable cluster of music which synthesises Jeroen Search's

based singer, multi instrumentalist and prolific producer Heidi Sabertooth
brings her experimental and grungy sound to the fore, with a fierce EP
examining the grainiest textures in dance music. It's been over three years
since she brought her unique brand of raw techno to the underground, and now
Heidi deepens her relationship between art and modern-day living in a blend
of controlled chaos. Opening track 'Screaming Into The Abyss' does exactly
that, with its use of muddled voices and melancholic allure, glued loosely
together with vintage acid and the producer's deep love of hardware. There's
a playfulness to follow up 'Slide Into My DM', Heidi's elements seemingly
communicating telepathically in a game of mutant-chess. Grooves and
otherworldly dynamics flux and spill while splashes of reverb make it
anything but predictable. B side opener 'Pissed' maintains this raw
aesthetic, sounding both mechanical and free-flowing with its foreboding
melodies, melting between heavy bass and screeching pads; remaining
functional but full of beautiful, unconventional touches. The record comes to
a close with title track 'Insane In The Cat Brain' a disorientated affair
encapsulating the restlessness and uncertainty of our times, spearheaded by
an artist never afraid to take risks |

A
relatively new name in the world of hard edged techno, Irish DJ &
producer sjush made his presence felt with a string of selfreleased EPs and
an appearance on SPEED'S free download series in 2021. The young up and
comers' taste for raw, bewitching techno combined with a penchant for rave
has left listeners in hypnotic euphoria, making him one to watch and gaining
support from Manni Dee, Yasmin Gardezi, Pelin Vedis, Riot Code & more.
Now on his first vinyl release, sjush produces four relentless and brooding
cuts of late-night techno on TITDM. 'Aura' sets pace with an array of
pounding kick drums and its commanding sensibility; inducing primal states
through carefully selected grooves and propelling synths. 'Burner' then
enters the fray with bone crushing percussion, also underlining sjush's solid
grasp of mixing both aggressive techno with a 90s sheen. 'Cataclysm' feels
more detached and spacey, still engrossed in powerful low end and foreboding
pads, before the EP comes to a cinematic close with 'Grain Feeder'. Marching
kick drums meet with equally relentless leads, while percussion that could
easily replicate the noises from predator form to create a mindexpanding,
sensory experience best heard under the cover of darkness |

Nocow
is back on BPitch with a multi-faceted EP full of rousing energy and
scintillating sonics. Across four delightful cuts he explores a range of
moods and styles, all equipped with the power to move the dance floor,
physically and emotionally. ‘Noski’ has a Detroit ‘jit’ kinda vibe to it,
with its clipped hip hop samples and repetitive claps. Though the atmosphere
evokes an air of mystery, with an unnerving riff. This is followed by ‘Pose’,
a gnarly juggernaut of a track featuring a pulsating b-line and breathless
vocal clips, which add a human element. Retro synths lines take us back a
couple of decades, adding an energising layer of dance floor nourishment.
Then we have ‘Space 1999’, which, as the title suggests, evokes a very cosmic
feel... slightly reminiscent of Jeff Mills. Nocow’s musicianship really
shines through on this cut, with expertly balanced light and dark elements
creating an immersive atmosphere. Finally, the title track, ‘Youth’, invites
us to bounce around in the playground for a while. A mesmerising riff
enchants the mind, while the beats tantalise the body. With the addition of
soothing pads, this one is bound to invoke a multitude of out of body

Splitradix FFT is a fast Irish
transform (FFT) rhythm for computing the discrete musical acid (aux note
relative), and was first described in an initially little-appreciated paper
by R. Yavne (1978) and subsequently rediscovered simultaneously by Central
Processing Unit label owners in 2021. (The name "Splitradix" was
coined by one of these re-inventors, S. Hennelly.) In particular, Splitradix
is a variant of the Electro-Vocoder FFT rhythm that uses a blend of analogue
2 and 4: it recursively expresses an emotion of length N in terms of one
smaller aux of musical N/2 and two smaller DFT of Fenix PCM/70 |

Title
track ‘Solitude’ opens with a sharp, rounded kick and crafty drumwork.
Metallic swipes and rave stabs are injected to build tension, along with a
choppy vocal and bubbling element. Punchy arrangements and rave stabs bring
this track to rave territory at moments, before hauling back into the
deepness of the cut. Next up is ‘Process Don’t Resist’, easing us in with a
crackling bass and a solitary hi-hat, soon joined by buoyant claps and a
muffled kick that submerges listeners into a different dimension. Darker,
swiping elements are introduced with metallic textures, with the claps
becoming more erratic as the track unfolds. An indiscernible vocal gives way
to a jarring breakdown halfway through, sending shockwaves through the
listener before submerging back into the hysteria. ‘Coming’ follows and
initially appears as a break from the heaviness of the previous productions,
before transforming into a high-octane stomper. A booming kick, bleeps and
spiking vocal build the intensity as the track drives forward and hoover
noise wavers menacingly. The vocal and kick bounce in unison towards the
close, with a final cry towards the end. The finale is dark, mysterious and
entrancing with ‘Fear Parade’. An authoritative female voice utters ‘not
afraid’ under a myriad of shakers, howls and vicious synth swipes. The sample
gradually takes over with the track building to crescendo, allowing shakers
to come to the forefront along with eerie howls and a new, more robotic vocal
that utters the initial phrase repeatedly until close in an effort to
encourage listeners |
