Emmanuel Top's Fokalm label. This version is a remix by techno man Noseda
known from Ragnarok Berlin and releases on Deborah De luca's Solamente label.
B1 Emmanuel Top Acid Phase (Fred Hush & Dimitri Andreas Rework): Acid
Phase, an unbelievable record that is hard to match, was repackaged by Fred
Hush & Dimitri Andreas. A slightly dreamier and more melodic tone was
indicated in a compelling beat. This version was released before but quickly
sold out. Played by Sven Vath. B2 Fred Hush - I Say (Remix Klaudia Gawlas):
International DJ Star Klaudia Gawlas also let her go for a while to make her

generic sleeve repress - Marc Acardipane's Pitch-Hiker, originally released
under Marc's Pilldriver alias, is without doubt one of the foundation tracks
of European hardcore. From the moment it was released in 1995 it caused
shockwaves with its stripped down, kick drum focused approach. Gone were the
hoovers, sirens, breakbeats and vocal samples of that era's hardcore and
instead a stark new minimalism emerged, focusing equally on the kick drum
itself and the negative space and air around it. Like all groundbreaking
records it was soon followed by an endless stream of unofficial rip-offs,
re-edits and remixes, none of which got close to the perfection of Marc's
original. Now for the first time Pitch-Hiker gets officially remixed showing
the level of trust Marc has in Perc Trax and Perc's own affection for
PitchHiker and for Marc's enduring legacy as an electronic music innovator.
First up is Marc himself with his own take on his classic. Keeping the
distinctive reverb soaked kick hits of his 1995 original mix he adds
dive-bombing synths and scything hi-hats to increase the energy of the
original mix without losing any of its dark charm. Next label boss Perc adds
more weight to the original's unmistakable kick drums, slowly building up the
tension until his remix drops into the kind of noise assault not heard on
Perc Trax since Tymon's devastating remix of Perc's own 'Hyperlink'. Kick
drum specialists Ghost In The Machine step up next and work the original
mixes' warping kick drums to the max. Updating and strengthening the track
perfectly whilst keeping the sense of space that gave the original mix so
much character. Finally Sissel Wincent and Peder Mannerfelt team up for their
Perc Trax debut following on from Perc's remix of 'Sissel & Bass' back in
2019. Flipping the script completely Sissel & Peder add multiple vocal
hooks and fuse the original mix's 4/4 kick with half-speed broken beat
rhythms to serve up a very different, but still successful interpretation of
the original mix |

Another polish punk crew from the
80's has seen their first record after 20 years. They played punk rock in
'classic polish style' with a strong nihilistic and destructive message. The
band was formed in Silesia in 1984 and operated almost continuously until
1989. With Absurd, Process and Omieræ Kliniczna they created the famous
Gliwice alternative scene. The LP contains their demo recorded in 1988.
Singer Pastor died in an accident in the early 90's, drummer Kissman still
plays punk rock - in the 90's in Rottweiler, now in Koyanisquatsi. So we move
to unhappy 1987, there was a time when 'destruction and chaos, anarchy,

paradise, glancing the frosty tips of Norwegian fir trees on his way to

Underground
hero Bill Converse returns to Dark Entries with Take Parts, perhaps his most
muscular and floor-focused work to date. Converse has honed his analog craft
since the early days of the Midwest rave scene, absorbing lessons from
luminaries like Claude Young and Traxx. His skill as a producer has been
established with releases on labels such as Dark Entries, Fit Sound, and
Obsolete Futures, and his prowess as a DJ has been witnessed on floors the
world over. On Take Parts, Converse peels away the layers of acidic gauze
that have characterized much of his work, revealing his sharp grasp of
dancefloor dynamics and DJ functionality. While the 808’s, 909’s, and 303’s
are on full display, Converse does not indulge in retro-fetishism; he
channels the future forward impulse of the originary rave ethos. Tracks like
“Stroke” and “What You Have” pit seasick chords and analog squelch atop funky
but unsettling loops. The flurry of 808 snares on “Measurement (Of What?)”
nods towards both footwork and jungle, but feels ultimately planted in a
world of Converse’s own. With the acid-electro masterpiece “Take Apart”,
Converse implores us to both join him in this new world and reconfigure the
one we’re living in now. The 6-tracks on Take Parts present a new focus for
Converse, and will excite DJ’s and thrill dancers |

The
word datasal paints inner pictures for most people growing up in Sweden
during the 1990’s. The datasal (a classroom for computers) was an ordinary
classroom with few changes to fit the school’s 10 newly leased computers. The
room represented the change of times in Sweden during this period: the fixed
institutions and the awaiting digital flood wave. The music of Datasal sounds
captures the feeling of printing a downloaded picture of your favorite hockey
player or music artist or the expectations building up as you wait for the
modem to log in to interact with the thousands of users of the internet in
1995. The two tracks on this release manifests the excitement but also the
bit of fright you felt connecting to the world in the mid 90’s - a time when
the internet still was fun. The sound is built around repetitive sequencer
loops and programmed beats where electric bass, electric guitar and flute
improvise around a theme, creating a sound that is best described as cosmic
flute house. Datasal is an harmonic reminder of a time where digital progress
seemed less harmful than today |

Industrialyzer drops ‘Snake
Whisperer’ on Rekids, backed with two Radio Slave remixes. Industrialyzer,
real name Ricardo Rodrigues, is a Lisbon-born, Amsterdam-based DJ and
producer who has released music on the likes of Ben Sims’ Symbolism, Tronic,
Suara, and his Groove Matters imprint, under both his Industrialyzer alias as
well as one half of The Advent. Arriving on Radio Slave’s Rekids for the ?rst
time, the DJ/producer delivers one hard-hitting original track backed by two
stellar remixes from the label boss. The original mix of ‘Snake Whisperer’
leads the release, bringing ?oaty bleeps, pounding drums, and grinding synths
across the A-side. For the ?rst of his remixes, Radio Slave extends elements
of the original into a 10-minute trip with hypnotic low-end colliding with
razor-sharp percussion. Rounding out the release is Radio Slave’s ambient
version, which sees the Rekids head honcho stripping all percussion and
emphasising the gorgeous pads and vast, reverberant atmospherics |

Dropping
in January 2023 is the reissue of DJ Shufflemaster's album EXP, which Tresor
Records first released in 2001. This expanded reissue comes as a 3xLP with
new artwork by Japanese designer Sk8thing and combines the original CD
release tracks with three tracks from the Angel Gate 12" from the same
year, including a remix by Surgeon of Experience. Also present is a
previously unreleased version of Innervisions, which replaces the assonant
synths of the original with a looped vocal sample upfront. Climb and Guiding
Light will feature as digital-only tracks. Tatsuya Kanamori remains a
critical component of the Tokyo techno underground scene, initially coming to
the fore through the Subvoice label before releases with Tresor, Theory
Recordings, and Japanese record labels such as Disq and Reel Musiq. At the
moment of the original release, DJ Shufflemaster considered the record to
draw in disparate and latent ideas into a fully encompassing mesh - ''I would
like to show my thoughts and everything that I am through the album. If it
doesn't reflect my ideas and the reasons that I live for, there is no meaning
for me to create an album. Therefore, EXP doesn't contain just one theme or
concept.'' EXP represents an uncompromising and psychedelic slant on techno,
with a purist's focus on the dancefloor. It bridges many avenues within the
techno genre, from the minimalist, dubby terrains of tracks like P.F.L.P. and
Opaqueness, to more fierce percussive works that share a kinship with the
sonic movements in Berlin, Detroit and the UK. Beyond the technical,
pared-down techno found in tracks such as EXP and Onto The Body, the album
leaps into unpredictable territories frequently. Angel Exit carries mystical
UK steppers moods as if it were a long-lost dubplate of The Rootsman.
Kanamori delves deep into looping digital grunge in Flowers of Cantarella and
Dawn Purple, these synthetic worlds enveloping and deforming at will. Bold
and as fresh as ever, EXP is an unearthed jewel from Tresor's past for new
ears |

Raffaele
Attanasio drops his first EP for two years as he heads to SHDW & Obscure
Shape's Mutual Rytm for his 'Quasar' EP. A product of Naples' rich techno
history, Italian DJ, producer and musician Raffaele Attanasio is an artist
who represents the city's iconic sound while drawing from influences across
the Atlantic and the genre's home of Detroit. Garnering plaudits from artists
including Jeff Mills, Len Faki and Ben Sims, while releasing on Mills' Axis
alongside Non Series, Third Wave Black, and his own Letter From Jerusalem
imprint, Attanasio's eclectic sound now delves into Italian techno of the
early 2000s as he makes his label debut on Mutual Rytm - revealing his first
EP in over two years and showcasing a new side to his sound with 'Quasar'.
Title track 'Quasar' brings a tunnelling groove beneath floating melodies and
zipping synths, before A2 'Asterion' combines dubby stabs and punchy kicks
effortlessly. On the flip, 'Blazar' is a squelchy acid-led trip guided by
sharp metallic hats, with 'Axial Inclination' utilising jittering drums and
slinking bass to keep the energy levels rolling. 'Clara' shapes up the
physical package, a skipping, spirited and classy cut fusing hazy textures
and crisp percussion, while digital exclusive 'SGR' sees things return to
acid territories, with purchasers able to access a darker impactful take on
