Belgium's
Ahl Iver has become synonymous with the Lenske name since founder Amelie Lens
singled out one of his demo submissions back in 2018. Since then, the young
DJ/producer has dropped two EPs on Lenske whilst holding down a busy
international touring schedule including regular appearances at Amelie's
revered Exhale party series. 'Paradox' contains four dance-floor orientated
cuts with the typical Ahl Iver sound that's steadily become a Lenske staple.
Opening the record is 'Reverse Psychology', featuring a thunderous kick drum,
whirring sonics and industrial slams. Ahl includes a stripped back rave synth
and siren combo with sharp stabbing sequences. Next up is 'Paradox', kicking
off with a distant alarm, wicked keys and another blistering kick drum. The
elements build together to form the foundation for the jacking vocal sample
that dominates and drives the track onward, always with a singular acid line
buzzing menacingly in the background. On the flip is 'Rumble In The Jungle',
kicking off with twisted and devilish effects that snicker and shoot across
the hurried pace of the roaring kick. The track develops into a battlefield,
with the initial mischievous sounds mimicking a frenetic laser fight, before
stripping back the focus onto the main kick drum and singular percussive
slap. Rounding off the record is 'No Salvation'. The track builds on the
initial kick drum combo as well as an ever-present melody that gradually
rises to the forefront of the track in a powerful takeover. There's a cinematic
feeling to the cut created by airy elongated pads as the hook of the track,
gliding and ascending under the harsher elements |

Hospital
rooms and bustling dance floors. It's hard to think of two spaces that are
more different, but when Tomas Urquieta's father was hospitalized for several
weeks with a serious illness last year, the NYC-based Chilean producer found
himself in a particularly reflective mood--and an urgent need to make music.
Armed with only his laptop and iPhone, he started making tracks at his
father's bedside, filtering his feelings--along with samples he'd collected
of medical equipment in the room-- through his production software. Those
tracks now form the bulk of the Calatea EP, Urquieta's potent
Seilscheibenpfeiler debut. Named after one of his favorite plants, the record
is also a nod to his mother, who filled his childhood home with greenery, but
its contents are ultimately closer to an untamed jungle than a tranquil
garden. Calatea may have been created in the sober confines of a hospital
room, but even its most introspective offering (the EP's title track, which
also opens the record) is built atop feverishly percolating rhythms, their
bassy swing pulling from Latin club sounds and the UK hardcore continuum
alike. "Taro" is a thundering, siren-filled assault, while
"Sotto Voce" feels almost claustrophobic, its maelstrom of churning
percussion, banshee-like basslines, and blaring alarms grabbing hold of the
dancefloor and refusing to let go. EP closer "Vitra" offers no
respite, its marauding industrial stomp is as likely to inspire a cardiac
event as it is a raucous dance party. These are heavy, hard-charging club
tunes, and though Urquieta's father is thankfully all better now, the
emotional turmoil caused by his hospital stay will forever be infused into
the Calatea EP |

"Hello,
my friends. It's a big honor for me to release this EP on YUKU because I
sincerely love lots of releases of this label and follow them practically
since the day they started. I've created 5 tracks specially for this release.
They turned out to be very diverse, quite different, but at the same time
cohesive. 5 tracks - like 5 variations and 5 stairs of my life. The cover by
my friend, Kyiv-based artist Bohdan Burenko, perfectly outlines the mood of
this EP. It shows 5 faces, 5 characters, and 5 stories. I should mention that
some demos for these tracks I wrote back in 2018, when I lived in California.
And the basis for 'The Wall' I wrote in the suburbs of Los Angeles in a small
town Walnut. This explains the song title. Back then, I listened to a lot of
old-school Metalheadz tracks, and I guess this music had a big impact on the
atmosphere of this track. Same story with 'Runnin' Out' - I made the demo in
US, then finished it when I was preparing the release for YUKU. 'Offset
Range1' is my personal favorite. I wrote it in Kyiv, when I had Covid and was
tweaking knobs on my sampler and automation on my synth. 99' is my nostalgia
for good ol' breakbeat and 'Vezhlivy Otkaz' has the most unusual drop I have
ever written. Of course, it's an honor for me to have a remix by Tim Reaper
on board, because I'm his fan. I'm writing this text now in Kyiv. Because of
Russian invasion, I'm not sure what my future will be like, but I don't see
any reason to postpone this release. All the profit from this EP I'd like to
send for the charity & restoration of the infrastructure of Ukraine. Big
thanks to YUKU team for understanding, professionalism and support."

Metropolis
Metropolis three vinyl set is an abbreviated version of the most recent
Electronic Music soundtrack for Fritz Lang's Metropolis (1927) by the Techno
music producer and cultural icon Jeff Mills. Unlike his first soundtrack
where tracks addressed specific segments of the film in a track listing form,
which was created and released in 2001, this version is more a symbiotic mix
of compositions that proposes a nuanced representation of the plot and
storyline. As an electronic symphonic music creation, Mills proposes a few
interesting points in the schematics of this album. 1- the positioning and
role of the listener as the soundtrack is based on the environment of the
scenes, rather than pure transcription, 2 - as a storyline that takes place
in the year 2000, the choice of sound elements refer to some future
commonality and foresight between the genres of Classical and Electronic
music - between man and machine. And 3, in many parts of the soundtrack where
sounds are played in unison. This is symbolic of the hopefulness the
storyline works towards. "Creating music for Fritz Lang's masterpiece
film "Metropolis" over the many years has been and continues to be
a great experience. The film is a story about "man vs man" with the
help of a machine. It's dramatic theme is as relevant now as it was when the
filmed debuted in 1927. A film to enjoyed, but also noted and examined."

Autumn of 2022 marked 20 years
since the initial release of Metro Area's first and only album, Metro Area.
Environ had already remastered and re-released this essential LP for its 15th
anniversary. So this time around, we're doing something a bit different. To
celebrate two decades of Metro Area, Environ has partnered with renowned
mastering engineer Matt Colton (Metropolis Studios) to remaster and recut the
first four Metro Area 12"s: Metro Area, Metro Area 2, Metro Area 3 and
Metro Area 4. Unlike the album reissue, these records include the original,
extended 12" versions of all songs, including some which have never been

Siberian River "Tunguska," the largest explosion ever measured took
place.....80 million trees were destroyed over an area of 2150 km2 , but the
impact crater was never found.... This haunting mysterious event inspired
Ansatz der Maschine to write an album about how time and space can
simultaneously have a gigantic, but also a very relative impact. The new
album "Tunguska" is a farewell album..... As such, the album
provides an overview of 20 years of Ansatz der Maschine, because in addition
to a lot of new songs, there are also some reworks of old iconic songs, some
of which became Duyster classics. "Tunguska" is a poetic album with

Mysterious,
melodic and dark - Portuguese can-do-no-wrong-er Lake Haze is back, adding to
his impressive catalogue a four-tracker EP named 'Coordinates Of A Decaying
World' for Lisbon's ever-attentive Paraiso. Off-beat toms and rim shots
paired with squelchy, slippery, acid make the opener, 'Galactic Federation',
feel as bouncy and polyrhythmic as a non 4/4 track, playing a delicious
illusion on the audience - completed emotionally by beautifully textured
stabs and pads that speak of longing and perhaps of ethical space exploration
to escape the pains of this Earth. Reverb-drenched arpeggio acid and digital
choirs welcome the listener in a grandiose, almost goth-like way, offset by
an improvisational, on-the-go arrangement spirit, an impression that is met
by the track title 'Jamming in Dracula's Castle'. The B side opens with fat
kicks and bass, its textures reminiscent of dutch and Belgian rave
traditions; expertly merged with a Moroder-like synth-a-delic motif - always
propulsed by that driving, taking-no-prisoners bass and acid lines. The last
track of the EP takes us to sunlight-drenched territories in comparison, with
a warm sub bass and classic breaks serving as a base to another one of Lake
Haze's expertly programmed acid lines. The beautiful pads and melodies
prevail, but the feeling in this closing number gives us an optimistic
glimpse into a better future, after an EP that is about showing us some
moodier, shadowy emotional rave bangers |

Emerging
talent Amazingblaze has unveiled his new EP ‘Can’t Stop’, out on 3rd March on
Charlotte de Witte’s KNTXT imprint. A four track release, the EP opens with
trance cut ‘Can’t Stop’, an electrifying club record which is reminiscent of
the 90s. Next up is ‘Got The Vibe’ following the theme of 90s raving, a
pulsating, high energy cut. Combining heavy hitting techno beats, ‘Enter The
Rave’ sets the tone of the EP, whilst the emotive ‘On The Grind’ closes off
the EP with driving pummeling techno, laced with captivating hip-hop vocals.
“Can't Stop EP has a very individual vibe, this time I decided to go through
some classic 90s trance & techno vibes and added some freshness by using
hip-hop vocals.” Amazingblaze explains. “Each track has its own story. Here
we got massive bangers for big venues and hard hitting tracks for clubs.”
Charlotte de Witte adds: “Amazingblaze is back on KNTXT with some truly
magnificent tracks. Can’t Stop EP is filled with masterpieces that always
turn out to be one of the highlights of my sets. His very distinctive sound
just never disappoints. I’m very happy to have him on board for another
massive EP on the label.” Amazingblaze is a fast-rising newcomer on the scene
who caught the attention of Charlotte de Witte with his unique talent and
craft. Surrounded by music since childhood, Amazingblaze was intrigued by the
mysterious vibrations of sound, which was his initial inspiration to produce
electronic music. Arriving in St. Petersburg as a teenager, he met producer BMB

Beatty, also known as Annelies Van Dinter, is excited to present her new
album 'Vision Glitch'. It is her first full length on Unday Records after her
2020 debut EP. 'Vision Glitch' is an exquisite collection of nine songs that
takes listeners on a journey through a world where reality and dreams
collide. With a unique blend of bold, gritty guitars and infectious melodies,
layered with soft and warm elements, Echo Beatty creates a distinct sound in
indie rock and alternative pop. The album is a blend of flashbacks, déjà vus,
dream sequences, reflections, visions, and wishes, mixing past, present and
future in one glitch. Annelies and her musicians recorded the album in a
cabin in the Belgian woods with a DIY attitude and a panoramic view. The album
was then mixed in LA by Omar Yakar Jr., who has previously worked with The
War on Drugs, War-paint, and Perfume Genius, he added a warm ambiance and a
touch of desert dust to the sound. "I wanted to make an album that feels
like a companion on the road. Visualizing music as a friend in the seat next
to you. You open a window, the wind blows through your hair. The ever
changing horizon ahead of you. Maybe it's the stagnation that the pandemic
created, that made this desire for long winding roads and vast landscapes
grow even stronger. I've rewatched movies like Paris/Texas and The Rider,
they speak to my heart." Annelies Van Dinter started playing drums in
punk bands as a teenager and never really lost that punk spirit. She soon
began writing her own songs, inspired by Bob Dylan, Radiohead, Sparklehorse
and Cat Power (among many others) and started dreaming about hitting the
road. By now, she has a wealth of touring experience. She toured Europe, UK
and USA with indietronic artist Styrofoam in her early twenties. She started
touring internationally with Echo Beatty presenting her two critically
acclaimed albums 'Tidal Motions (2013) and Nonetheless (2016). She was a band
member of Trixie Whitley, Mauro Pawlowski, The Black Heart Rebellion, Bed
Rugs and Oko Yono, among others. At the moment, her side-projects include the
eclectic Naga Ghost, a band she formed during the pandemic with drummer
Christophe Claeys (Zeeskirts, Amatorksi, Lyenn, Monolithe Noir...) and
Annelies started pounding the drums again herself in the sludge band Pruillip
(which started as an occasional gig at Dennis Tyfus summer venue De Nor) and
in TAKH, a new project from the members of The Black Heart Rebellion. With
influences that range from desert blues to experimental niche and alternative
classics, Van Dinter always puts experimentation and dynamic synergy with the

wants to pay tribute to the shikhats and ghanayats, female singers who fought
for freedom of expression in 19th century Morocco through popular songs. She
surrounds herself with Laurent Blondiau for the musical direction and 16
other renowned musicians and vocalists, including jazz saxophonist Toine
Thys, tubist Michel Massot, trumpeter Pauline Leblond, young trombonist Nabou
Claerhout and female singer-percussionists of the Sultanats B'net Chaabi. The
release of the album is accompanied by a concert tour in Antwerp, Brussels,
Leuven and Rotterdam (NL), amongst others. Want a taste of their exciting mix

Our
next foray into the world of 10” vinyl sees three classic cuts from Tyrome -
aka Kris Vanderheyden and Pascal Deneef, remastered for today’s standard and
pressed onto glorious wax for that nostalgic feel. Tyrome formed in 1996 and
quickly gained a following with their brand of electronic dance music. Their
first outings appeared on the famous Bonzai Trance Progressive label where
they’d deliver these three top-notch joints before appearing on other labels.
Kris is a Belgian techno and electronic music producer who is considered one
of the leading pioneers of the Belgian techno scene. He is also known by his
stage name Insider, as well as The Assistant and he belonged to a host of
groups including Quick Reverse, Cherry Moon Trax and Tripomatic Allstars to
name just a few and he contributed heavily to the Bonzai sound of the 90’s.
Pascal is also a name synonymous with the 90’s techno sound in Belgium. He
worked closely with Kris on several projects including Indicator,
Technodrive, Total Remedy and Quick Reverse. His repertoire also includes the
monikers Big Jim and Emoryt (Tyrome spelt backwards) and has appeared on a
raft of labels over the years. On the A-side we get a taste of Tyrome’s most
famous groove, the 1998 joint ‘Electric Voodoo’, with its instantly
recognisable vocal sample. A highly charged and energetic slice of trance
with a nice techno edge that always gets the crowd moving. On the flip, the
B1 slot holds the much deeper grooves of ‘Noxious’ which saw the light of day
in 1996. Dark and mysterious, the beat mesmerizes as a melodic siren fades up
to the backdrop of erotic voices. A definite contender at any late-night
session to keep the party flowing. Concluding the release in the B2 slot, the
1997 cut ‘Monkey Way’ has the honours. A feisty number with a driving groove
thanks to a powerful bassline and rhythmic percussions. The track is laden
with stabbing synths and pent-up energy just waiting to be unleashed onto the
floors |

Leemans of Paper Hats and curator of AB Salon) never stopped his quest for

is proud to introduce the debut record from Campbell Irvine, the 23 year-old
outsider talent who hails from Australia and has recently re-located to
Berlin. Part industrial mantra, part musique concr?te, this immersive and
captivating debut continues Infrastructure's re-launch, bringing genuine new
talent to the table. The classically trained violinist, who until recently
had little background or experience in electronic music, has put together a
deeply ritualistic study in textural, layered compositions inspired by
middle-eastern traditions and rhythms. With a nod to the influential work of
artists like Muslimgauze, Irvine has constructed a complex world of
electro-acoustic elements, carefully processed and arranged field recordings,
acoustic percussion and arabic sound-bytes. Underpinning each tense, hypnotic
arrangement are subtle sub-sonic elements that have their roots in dub or dub
techno, yet the overall impressive sound aesthetic is far removed from both.

community, proving that innovation in both composition and production is

Young
Australian producer Campbell Irvine follows up his 2014 debut with his second
release for Infrastructure, 'Reunion of Two Bodies' The extended EP consists
of two full sides of vinyl, plus a 50 minute continuous CD, entitled 'Terms
Of Propaganda'. Following Irvine's initial discovery by label founder
Function thanks to a chance meeting, the producer's relationship with
Infrastructure has since blossomed. 'Reunion Of Two Bodies' marks a new
chapter for the Berlin-based musician; his heavily weighted Modern World
Music routed sound continues to grow, furthering him as an excitingly
singular new talent. A-side 'Prism Split (A Scrying Song)' retains the
characteristic intensity of Irvine's first release: a maelstrom of global
influences and inspirations shaped and informed by Irvine's own classical
training and musicianship. His dense and hypnotic arrangements invoke
comparisons with pioneers such as Muslimgauze or contemporaries like
Shackleton, whilst still staking out an individual sonic territory of its
own. Field recordings and mixed-media samples all play their part in building
the hypnotic story, and delicate drum programming and instrumentation show
off Campbell's ear for timing and timbre. Seamless blending of each element
and pristine production values are testament to his intuitive musical skill.
B-side 'Reunion of Two Bodies' is the more club-oriented of the two tracks,
offering a more jubilant yet suitably tense slab of end-of-the night
resolution. Stripping away the Eastern influences, Campbell opts to explore
dubbed-out, classic electronic realms, reminiscent of 'Artificial
Intelligence' era Warp. Gracefully accented by its melancholic building
melodies, Irvine's influences remain broad and firmly rooted in tradition,
yet the end result is nothing but contemporary |

introduce a new artist to the roster, with a brand new talent known only as
Post Scriptum. 'Post Scriptum 01' is the debut full length album from the
anonymous producer, to be released on 2 x 12'', CD and digital formats.
Quickly following the first ever Post Scriptum track to be released, 'Human
Timescales' featured on 'Berghain 07 - Part I' (Ostgut Ton 86), this stunning
full length thoroughly outlines the sonic intentions of the project over 11
other-worldy tracks. Infrastructure founder Function has mixed 'Berghain 07',
the latest in the series of DJ mixes by the Berlin club's residents, due for
release May 18th. Accompanying the mix are two 12''s, where Post Scriptum's
'Human Timescales' features alongside tracks from Cassegrain & Tin Man,
Inland, DVS1, Steve Bicknell, Blue Hour and Luke Slater's L.B. Dub Corp
alias. The in-depth A&R process Function went through for the Berghain 07
project led to the signing of the development of this LP. The debut live show
from Post Scriptum will be at Berghain during the '07' release party in May.
Post Scriptum stands for rich, highly detailed modern Techno Electronics.
References to Mills-School bleep and unearthly, sci-fi tones are clear to
hear. The album features original photographs by Swiss mixed-media artist
Julian Charri?re, taken on site at a former Soviet nuclear testing ground.
The negatives were first exposed through the camera, and then laid on the
radioactive earth where interference occurred, resulting in the highly textured
end images. Parallels to the process can be drawn throughout 'Post Scriptum
01', where classic Techno sound sources are clear to hear, however complex
processing and a very original approach to arrangement flavours and colours
each track. With titles like 'Interstellar Medium', 'Decelerate At The
Destination' or 'The Extreme Distance', clear Space - Time themes emerge,
evoking imagery of the ongoing Human quest for survival, on this world, and
eventually others. The vinyl version of Post Scriptum 01 is structured with
DJs in mind 8, with club-leaning tracks spanning 4 sides. On the CD version a
further 3 titles can be found, with the tracklist arranged as Post Scriptum
originally intended for listening in one session |

Plains NY kids created a horror show of late psych, which they fully admitted
to on 'Freak Show', a slow bluesy creeper with spirally spiderweb organ and
the fantastic and sexy sorceress vocals of Lynn Boccumini. Recorded in New
York-s Record Plant under the guidance of cult producers Jimmy Curtiss and
Steve Kanyon (best-known for their involvement with popsike favourites The
Hobbits and The New Hobbits), this Italian-American psych rarity originally
appeared in 1970 and has barely been heard since. A mixture of covers of
songs by Cream, Donovan, The Band and Tim Hardin and eerie originals such as
