After
a short hiatus Deep In Dis intl. is back in the game. This time bringing you
a split EP by two young prolific producers who have been in our radar for
quite sometime now, Eric OS and Lewis. With both artists being based in
Sweden and each one of them with a characteristic sound, we thought it would
be a good idea to split our next release between these two cutting edge
talents and that's how the Timebomb EP came to life. We first discovered Eric
tunes through a Binh set last year at the Nostromo Festival and we instantly
knew we had to get Eric on board for a future project with us and here we
are. With releases on System Error, Eya Records and his own imprint Space
Trace, Eric brings to the table all those elements that made us get up off
the back stage sofa and lose it on the floor. Flipping the record we have the
Data Flow head label Lewis bringing us another two special club cuts. Having
released a digital EP with us before, we couldn't wait to press some of Lewis
analog soundscapes. A1. 'Eden' is a true dance floor filler , endless groove
and quirky sounds penetrating your brain while taking you in a break with
some dreamy pads and even stranger synth lines. A2. 'Timebomb' keeps the vibe
going, even higher this time. The formula seems to be timeless. Progry
melodies, wonky bassline, and solid drum patterns.B1. 'Project Mayhem'
invites us to close our eyes and travel without moving with its hypnotic
groove, the feeling of pleasure, energy and empathy increases and floats the
dancefloor in a never ending way. Closing the EP 'Acid44' spills a lysergic
groove on the floor with no possibility of escape or return. Infected synth
lines, snappy snares and some serious bassline are the powerful potion of the
track |

Fierce
techno on this 4 artist release. Locked and loaded, here comes the next salvo
in RYC's line of action. Going by the name "Heimat" - the German
word for "homeland", this eighteenth number in our catalogue breaks
in a new series that will set the focus on exciting new names with a vision.
Zeitgeisty by nature, the approach chosen for these VAs is to document
state-of-the-art productions from lesser known and emerging figures, whose
skills and talent we firmly believe in. An extension of our creed that techno
is there to push boundaries and not reiterate the same bland assertions over
and over, ad nauseam, "Heimat" shall form a shelter for
top-of-the-range material and that exclusively, regardless of the producer's
fame, level of fashionability and/or market-friendliness. Summoned on that
debut platter are names you may have heard through our channels already, and
some you haven't. Drawing first blood, Brazilian talent Marcal gets the
wrecking-ball swinging at fierce rate. Engineering an inch-perfect balance
between Amazonian suavity and cutting-edge industrialism, the Goiania-based
whiz treats us to a mind-altering maelstrom of rainforest techno, leaving no
room for improvisation whether on the rhythmic side or in terms of sound
design. An absolute crusher. Another Brazilian completes the A-side, in the
person of Nicolas Vogler. His track "Lost in Paradiso" is
everything a mental techno pumper should be: nose-diving drum assaults, pools
of lavish textures to sink your brain within, spiralling synth motifs. Epic,
truly. Mysterious on-the-rise producer Hurdslenk takes over the flip with a
mammoth of a fast-paced churner, designed at nothing but sweeping legs by the
dozen. True to the early 00s hi-NRG strain of techno, Hurdslenk fractures his
way into the system with a proper bomb of a tune, hovering the cursor halfway
Birmingham-style sonic aggression and made in Rotterdam
warehouse-obliteration. Final word goes to mould.audio's Ruben Ganev, an
artist who knows all too well how to fly you off to the zone with a mere kick
and surgically processed machine hoodoo with a purpose. Laser-precise and
full-bodied, "Scattered" is the paragon of a masterful hypnotic
ride, steering us smack-dab the middle of a weirdly claustrophobic dream with
the right amount of daze-inducing envelopes and fuel-efficient percussive
power. "Heimat" comes pressed to a 100% orange transparent vinyl,
and clad in a pristine, matt varnished package to please your eyes and ears
in equal measure |

For
the 7th installment of their split-series, Dalmata Daniel welcomes both
Roberto Auser for his sophomore contribution to the label, as well as a fresh
addition to the catalogue: Cestrian, aka. Ali Renault, the tireless
Margate-based DJ and producer, well known for his frantic, dazzling and rough
releases at labels like Bunker, Cyber Dance Records or Mechatronica. Massive,
thumping kickdrums and hypnotic whispers introduce the first tunes of side A,
that is 'Awakening' - Auser's take on slow, EBM-esque industrial vibrations
as an eerie, industrial waltz. 'Selvage' drives effortlessly to disco- and
retrofuturistic territories, arriving at the closing track of Auser's side,
'Long Night' This third cut is his longest one, steadily building up harmonic
layers of dark, intertwining melodies with the devoted beats of a
minimalistic drum machine, full of echoes and shimmering high-ends. Side B
starts with the energetic, rolling bassline of 'Satan'. Ideal title for such
a fiery, blazing electro hit: if you ever find yourself in any sort of
Inferno-situation trying to Shazam that heated banger you hear, it is likely
that it's one of Cestrian's intense tracks from this 12". 'Zoltan'
delivers a gentle rumbling of a dusty bass-synth. An atmospheric, chill
sequence dominates the split's penultimate track, with dreamy chords and
smooth twists on a chaotic noise-source. Finishing off the split, Cestrian
hits us with 'Lids' - an excited and raw vision of electro, full of hazy
sparks and detuned, tense oscillations. The bass cuts into our minds like
blades from a giallo-opus, leaving behind nothing but the unsolved mystery of
ineffable horrors |

The third EP from cult producer
M.O.O.N finally gets a vinyl release rounding off a triple-release month
alongside the represses of the eponymous debut EP and Particles EP. A more
brooding offering finds M.O.O.N exploring a deep house avenue with three tracks
themed around ideas of driving through the city at twilight. All tracks have
been remastered by Brendan Zacharias aka Assembler Code giving the EP a new
level of punch in the club and on home hi-fi |

Following the success of Holo's
groove-driven debut Atlas EP, he's back with another dreamy 3-tracker on Lost
Palms. Drawing from pop, classic rock, acid and 90's hip hop, he has managed
to hone a truly idiosyncratic sound which at once is recognisable and takes
you by surprise. The aptly-named Technicolour EP demonstrates the Melbourne
producer's prowess in creating rich, warm, chromatic soundscapes which are
downtempo but pack plenty of body. Following the shuffly house number
'Juniper', reverberating chords and MPC claps define 'Shosa' before the
balearic-tinged 'Try' leaves a sweet taste in our mouths via acid melodies
and airy pads |

The Troggs' 1966 debut British LP
was substantially different to their first American long-player, although
eight of the songs appear on both records. 'Wild Thing' is the highlight of
the disc, and the rest of the set shows the primordial power of 'From Home'
and 'I Just Sing', as well 'Jingle Jangle', the first of Reg Presley's
tuneful ballads. The album jumped to number six in the British charts all of
a sudden. Often labeled as proto-punk pioneers for their primitive and raw
sound the Troggs were part of the so-called British invasion. Comes on
mustard coloured vinyl |

Futuristic electronics by Niels
Luinenburg (Delta Funktionen) under his new guise Immediate Proximity - in
collab with Diana Napirelly. Ambient, Bass, Electro and Techno are the main
identifiers for their output. Deep and emotive is the mood, but at the same
time the music is playful and has a robust and confident character. This
distinct direction, which was laid-out on the pair's debut LP '2334', has now
led to the start of their own label: IMPROX - on which they'll release a
series of EPs. On IMPROX, the duo experiments vivaciously with color, rhythm,
space and tempo. Hi-tech, yet tribalistic rhythms are interlaced with elusive
sci-fi themes. Big stage anthems are comfortably combined with cinematic
ambient excursions. And through self engineered audio-gen modules, backed by
a stark focus on sound design, the IMPROX series marks a powerful upgrade to
Luinenburg's production capabilities |

With Augustus Williams Metroplex
welcomes one of Detroit's new generation of electro and techno explorers to
the label. His debut titled ,,Increaser EP" offers four tracks of
celestial funk deeply indebted to the classic sound of Metroplex. The EP starts
off with ,,The Hook-Up", a bouncy yet minimal electro permutation built
around a propulsive Bassline and a percolating synth arpeggio. On the other
three tracks Williams flexes his techno muscle and shows his keen sense for
deep and focused techno-soul with a futurist edge that has any dance floor
heaving with energy. - most notably in the noisy abstractions of
,,Submission" |

Re-release of the iconic 'Screen
Series': Green Screen. Limited Edition Picture Disc. Remastered. 4th and last
EP of the legendary "Screen" series. Green Screen is the
culmination of this wonderful series. We wanted once again to produce something
really special, far from the standards of the time. We already had the
hindsight to appreciate our music at that time. This last chapter is a kind
of testament and a summary of what we wanted to do in this series. The result
is that we have, once again, managed to combine both the punchy club side and
the dark and melancholic side. Who knows that maybe one day a new chapter, a
new color will join this OPUS... The future will tell! |

Nicola Dal Sacco treats us to an
acid-soaked quartet for his debut solo EP on Aquaregia, a tantalizing
follow-up to the Italian producer's contribution to the Acid Analects VA
series. Setting the tone, the title track, "Wirrwarr", revs up with
driving drums and swirling pads - a sunrise escapade along a mountain pass.
As daybreak approaches, the breakdown hits, introducing warm beaming pads. On
the second leg, the journey continues with "Gelato", a spellbinder
that melds serpentine acid lines with a vintage flair, navigating hairpins
and snaking through narrow hillside corridors; vertigo ensues.
"Parapiglia" continues the trip with an eerie and enchanting
lowlight drive. Melancholic acid whines while lush ethereal pads swaddle; a
haunting mist rolling over the road. A deep closer, "Linea" guides
us down the final stretch through the foothills with a viscous groove and
chilled out atmosphere; the final knock back down into first gear |

2023 repress - Hypnus starts the
year by sharing Feral's third, and soon also fourth, solo record as Climbing
Himalaya comes delivered in two parts. The first part is a grand display of
his essence; a cavernous setting flooded by deep tribal beats and psychedelic
ambiance that surely will get most bodies moving. From start to finish we
dance upwards along the cliffs, ascending effortlessly like the wind toward
the peak |

repress - One of the most spoken of dnb formations is back with a double pack
that's one of the most spoken of project since their collaboration with
Mayhem and KRS-One. They're taking the word collaboration to the next level
with this spectacular Collision EP. 4 tracks made by Noisia colliding with
other heavyweight formations from across the globe! The opener is
"Cannonball", it starts off as one giant drum roll and then turns
into a dancefloor roller that just "stays classy" everywhere you
play it! For the second track Noisia collabs with Black Sun Empire to bring
real 100% Dutch flavor to the floor. "Infusion" is a track that
takes its inspiration from the Negative camp but blended to perfection by
these 2 grand masterminds of music. Plate 2 brings a tune that sounds a lot
like ram trilogy's titan classic but your ears deceive you in this one. Its
none other then a collab by Noisia & The Upbeats with a track titled
"Mudslide"! it's heavy, it's bad, it pounds, it flows, it's just
one of those records that can't be beaten! The closer is another collab by
Noisia & Phace called "Levitation", this roaring production
shows what this scene is all about: heavy beats combined with sick reese basses
and a neurotic funk that you just can't get your hands on! Again Noisia
delivers proper quality with this slamming EP. This is one Collision you just
can't wait to feel! Comes in standard full colour Vision Recordings repress
sleeve. |

Finally reissued on double
gatefold album, this is considered one of the best garage revival live albums
ever. It was recorded in Europe back in 1991 and this album exposes The
Fuzztones at their wildest. When the L.A. garage psychedelic rock scene was happening
back in the late 80's - early 90's The Fuzztones were one of the scene
leaders. With frontman Rudi Protrudi's snarling vocals and wicked guitar this
record is simply raw! Crank this one loud! Strictly limited edition of 500
copies. WARNING: Explicit images included inside. Not to be sold to people
under 18 years old |

By 1959 the folk revival was
nearly in full swing, pushed forward by the likes of Pete Seeger, and was in
fact the first year of the Newport Folk Festival. In that light, John Lee
Hooker took a break from his Chicago electric blues recording career and returned
to his country blues roots with an acoustic blues LP that featured the
stripped down sound of just Hooker and his acoustic guitar. Only 500 copies

On 1998's 'he Shape Of Punk To
Come' - their third and final album before their initial split - Swedish
punks Refused broke the comparatively stringent traditions of hardcore punk
to embrace elements of jazz, techno and post-punk and setting them to longer,
more complex song structures. As such, it slowly became one of the most
influential records in the genre |

Known as the 'bad boys of the
Ulster punk scene,' Belfast quartet the Outcasts was formed in 1977 by
bassist/vocalist Greg Cowan, with brothers Colin and Martin on drums and
rhythm guitar, along with Getty Getgood on searing lead. With their debut gig
descending to a riot, the group began a long tenure of local notoriety, shift
ing members and styles as their sound evolved, before imploding in 1985. This
ace compila tion gathers early singles for the IT, Good Vibrations and GBH
labels, as well as later work for Anagram, New Rose, and their own Outcasts
Only imprint, presenting the fearsome foursome at their very best. INCLUDES

19 track round up of demos from The Partisans who formed in Bridgend, South
Wales in 1978 and ended up being one of the cream of the UK82 punk movement.
The first side of the LP has 10 tracks recorded in April 1980 in one day and
like bands in their early years - it features mainly covers. It includes
songs from the Sex Pistols, Stiff Little Fingers, UK Subs, Buzzcocks, UK
Subs, Cockney Rejects and yes even more UK Subs. It also has primitive and
raw versions of future Partisans classics 'No Time' and 'I Don't Give A
Fuck'. This demo has never been heard or released in any form. Less than a
year later, February 1981 with Savage leaving and Louise joining on bass, the
band have their most well known line up and are in full flow with a 6 track demo
that was sent to No Future Records. It's not surprising the label snapped
them up straight away as the recordings are high energy and full of anthemic
gems. The label released 'Police Story' and 'Killing Machine' as the debut
7" direct from these recordings. The other four tracks from this demo
have never been released on vinyl. The last three tracks on the LP are the
demos from 1982 recorded for No Future for the '17 Years Of Hell' single.
Rawer and more punk than the actual well known versions. All members of the
bands helped in this release and shared original masters from which
everything was remastered plus archive from their own personal collections
including photos galore, handouts, ticket stubs, interviews etc. which are
included in the 28-page booklet |

For
more than twenty years, Roel Funcken has been a cornerstone in electronic
experimentation. Alongside his brother Don, this Dutch sound sculptor melted
hip-hop, industrial and soundscapes under monikers like Funckarma and Shadow
Huntaz. A prolific solo musician and collaborator as well, Funcken teams up
with Cor Bolten to revive the Legiac project with the eight tracks of
Banisteriopsis Caapi. Keys appear through a sorrowful haze in "Mimosa
Hostilis", this machined mist difussing as distorted strings penetrate
before a dawning of icy brightness. Modulated forms and shapes billow in the
bubble and trill of "Pyschotria Viridis" before the orbiting
interference and introspection of "Epicatechine." Percussion is
reduced to a texture, the duo finding structure in droplets of water, the
stretch of steel and a litany of field recordings. The partnership dive deep
into their chosen sounds, elongating and expanding tones to find harmony in
the absence and isolation that is their focus. Pieces like
"Solanaceae" bristle with an understated elegance, like starlight
piercing a brooding night sky, while "Banisteriopsis Caapi" finds
an eerie solace in its repurposing of voice as an undulating elegy. Legiac
achieve a distant intimacy with their listener, a relationship forged through
complex compositions, gentle movements and subtle shifts |

Matthew
Halsall first met the La-based, spiritual jazz vocal legend, Dwight
Trible(Kamasi Washington, Pharoah Sanders and Horace Tapscott) at the Joy of
Jazz Festival in South Africa back in 2015, when a chance encounter backstage
led to Trible sitting in with The Gondwana Orchestra for an impromptu reading
of the classic Pharoah Sanders and Leon Thomas anthem 'The Creator Has A
Master Plan'. In 2017 they released the deep, soulful Inspirationsalbum
together (GOND017) but inspired by their first meeting Matt arranged some
classic Pharoah tunes for Dwight to revisit. This then is The Gondwana
Orchestra featuring Dwight Trible, Colors: a 4 track vinyl and digital only
EP featuring brilliant new versions of Colors,The Creator Has a Master Plan,
Love is Everywhereand You've Got to Have Freedomand featuring the Gondwana
Orchestra with pianist Taz Modi, bassist Gavin Barras, drummer Jon Scott,
harpist Rachel Gladwin and Matt himself on trumpet. Packed in a distinctive
bright orange Gondwana Records sleeve this is the second in a collectors
series of spiritual jazz limited-edition EPs set for release in 2018 as part

Wax
Tailor announces the release of his new album "Fishing For
Accidents" on February 10th, 2023, accompanied by a new international
tour. "The starting point of this record is a quote from the film
director Orson Welles, which evokes the notion of accident in the creative
process. I always thought that accidents were an integral part of creation
and the job of a film or music director is also to know how to capture them
in order to make the accident an artistic intention. I decided not to follow
a well established concept but this more instinctive guideline and to go
fishing for accidents". In this new opus, Wax Tailor explores with his
sampler a world of vinyls and cinematographic references, brandishing as a
flag a stamped musical culture and multiplying references to the 7th art in a
music written in 33 rpm and 24 images seconds. After the dark "The
Shadow Of Their Suns" released in 2021, Wax Tailor takes us with
"Fishing For Accidents", on a brighter and more colorful side
without ever betraying his universe and his convictions. A multi-recidivist
talent scout, he gathers around him a prestigious cast ranging from hip hop
(Mick Jenkins, Mr. Lif, Kuf Knotz, Lojii, Napoleon Da Legend, Ill Conscious,
Voice Monet, David Bars, Mattic) to the indie rock scene (Jennifer Charles,
singer of the legendary band Elysian Fields and Victoria Bigelow). With one
eye on the past and the other on the horizon, Wax Tailor instills the
incandescence of an organic sound and distills his art of sound anachronism
in a wide gap between nostalgia and modernity that has made him one of the
leaders of the international electro hip hop scene for over 20 years |

Originally released on a
promo-only limited edition special 12" mix in the U.S., "Anung
Anunga" was pressed in extremely limited quantity, making it one of the
rarest Columbia 12" releases ever - a mint copy will currently set you
back around £100. Produced by veteran dance music producer Bert Decoteaux,
"Anung Anunga" is the perfect fusion of red-hot Cuban musicians
with a contemporary dance production. The result is simply stunning and
continues the tradition of artists like Candido and Joe Bataan crossing over
into the Dance Music world. As though that's not enough, on the flip we've
provided the equally stunning "Baila Mi Ritmo" - the other
outstanding dance track from their only Columbia studio album which now makes
its debut on 12" for the first time ever. All in all, this is an
exceptional double-sided slab of 12" vinyl which could almost be a fresh
new find for many since the original 12" disappeared without trace |

TWR72 jumps into KEY Vinyl with a
full madness EP. "Kit" encompasses 4 merciless, high momentum
tracks which leave no air to breathe. The perfect tangle between groove and
frenzy. A disorderly compulsive, agitated activity. Sounds which will haunt
every inch of your body and won't let you go... they will lock you among the
urgency of rhythm and rapid polyphonic undulations. A bipolar relationship
between highs and lows, mixing and interchanging relentlessly. Vivacious
percussion converges with an ever present, round and bouncy bassline
resulting in an emotionally irrational, but technically intelligent
execution. The Dutch producer definitely knows how to make a statement |

are the latest disciples of yet another new wave of talent in the fertile
Belgian groove and jazz scene. It would, however, be a shame to limit them to
the constraints of any given musical style. Ever since their formation in
2019, the Ghent-based trio have been experimenting with all possible genres
to create a contemporary sound they can now rightfully call their own. With
their self-titled debut album, to be released in April 2023 via Sdban Ultra,
they are closing off an impressive first chapter, delivering a unique and
diverse yet coherent collection of groove-driven cuts. While labeling
Diswasher_ as a jazz band wouldn't do them enough justice, it is a fact that
improvisation and a certain free approach turn out to be key in the creation
and performance process of the album's tracks. Werend, Louise and Arno
specifically aim to capture their live energy and synergy on the album by
experimenting with structures and textures, playing with song lengths and
implementing influences from various other styles - electronic music in the
first place, but as well traces from (Middle-)Eastern and Balkan music, next
to dance, hip-hop and even metal. As a result, the record tends to be a pure
and honest representation of Diswasher_'s musical identity and artistic quest
over the past years - both as individual musicians and as a band. Saxophones
drenched in effects, diverse layers of synthesizers, a bass guitar hopping
from fingerpicking licks to deep and drone-like bass tones, drums can
sometimes sound like drum computers, and sometimes as subtle rhythmic chords:
it's pretty clear how deep this trio have dived to search and find something
totally fresh and new. Members of the band are Arno Grootaers, Werend Van Den
Bossche and Louise van den Heuvel. Their debut album is coming out on Sdban
Ultra, the innovative label of Black Flower, ECHT! and Compro Oro (among
others). In 2023 they will fully focus on new talent, by signing Dishwasher_,
but also KAU (formerly KAU trio) and Schroothoop. Apart from that, you can
expect debut albums or EPs by LũpạGangGang, Bandler Ching, KVR
trio and Adja coming out this year. Stay tuned |

Descend into the vast underwater
world of Melbourne/Naarm producer LOIF. LOIF's imagination of the mysterious
world beneath the shores needs not words to describe it, but your ears to
envision it. 'Plunge' presents four tracks of varying liquid moods which
illustrate LOIF's versatility and tendency to hop between genres and moods.
'Plunge' travels through the depths and rhythms of techno, electro, bass,
breaks, psy, glued together by a bubbly warmth reminiscent of oceanic
exploration and dance floor groove |

After a frenzied 2019 debut on
Pinkman under his scarcely-used Amato alias, The Hacker brings his seminal
sound to Mindri for the sublabel's 3rd release. Exploring desolate cityscapes
and windswept tundras shrouded in winter's gloom, he provides 6 club tracks
that are suitable for dancefloors at any stage of the night. From feverish
4/4 kicks to stalking electro and a chugging after-hours stomp, stripped back
rhythms dominate throughout. Punching their way through misty pads in a
relentless chase with metallic synths that are icy to the touch, these are 6
slabs of machine-driven grooves from a master of the art |

Adam X returns to his imprint
Sonic Groove with his first album in four years, a 56 minute excursion into
EBM and Cyberdelic Industrial Techno titled RECON MISSION. The mission begins
with beat driven hypnotic electronics that invoke paranormal illusions of
Easter island mythology and Bermuda Triangle disappearances. Climbing forward
the album crosses the line into harder industrial territories, conjuring
visions of New York City's dystopian past and CIA shadow government
experiments |

Placid
aka Paul Wise is the chief in command at ‘We’re Going Deep’ – an online
community and record label, born out of a lifelong affair with the many
shades of electronic rhythm and obsession for collecting records since 1988.
Known to many in underground House and Techno circles, he’s spent the last 3
decades moving heads and feet at select venues, parties and fields across the
UK and beyond. On a mission to share and release new music via his imprint:
you’ll find only the best in Acid, Electro, IDM, Techno and Deep House for
the dance floor, front room or even just your headphones. For the latest solo
series edition, Paul reaches out to the talents of UK based songwriter and
producer James Shinra, for a heavyweight 4 track EP of 303 fuelled excursions.
Hitting the floor head on with the muscular tones of “Jaunt” on A1 – punchy
808 percussion builds with jarring rave-etched synthesis, before rushing into
the roar of a 303 grabs you by the scruff of the neck and unleashes a rolling
groove that jacks hard until the twisted end. Do not be fooled by the calmer
overtures of A2 “Venture”, Shinra unleashes another rolling 4 to the 4 floor
workout. Balancing airy leads and shifting pads to precision programmed
beats, the TB saws its way through to maximum frequency exposure over the
course to brazen effect. On the B-Side, B1 “WASP” takes control via deeper
bass tones, squelching tweaks and A-A-Acid vocal chants, all paced at a solid
mid-tempo groove that really brings things to the boil: just when you need
it. Signing off with the stunning IDM inflected melodies of “Flexion” on B2 –
Shinra shows his mastery of space and warmth with this beautifully balanced
slice of Electronica that really is the icing on the cake |

Kr!z
made his Blueprint debut last year with the 'Neutrino EP'. Now he returns
this April with the follow-up 'Revelation EP'. Kr!z has been at the forefront
of techno for more than a decade. Influenced by the hypnotic and energetic
sound helmed by veterans such as Jeff Mills, Steve Rachmad and James Ruskin,
he gradually but steadily developed his own identity in the international
techno scene. After making a name for himself as a skilled DJ with sharp
focus and a quick mixing style in home country Belgium and the Netherlands,
Kr!z launched Token Records in 2007. It has since been a leading outlet for
heady, purist sounds. He rapidly established the label as a fixed value with
a timeless and powerful sound and took it around the world with label nights on
every continent. Token remains important in defining techno today - always
straightforward, sometimes weird, often catchy - all under the helm of Kr!z
as avid A&R. After 12 years spent assiduously focused on curating the
Token discography, showcasing artists he has nurtured and supported over this
time, and incorporating the connoisseur's knowledge and experience he has
cultivated in his work as a DJ, 2019 saw the release of his long awaited
debut EP on Token. 'Mantra' received high acclaim by both media and the
scene's key DJs. This continued in 2020, when he released the track
'Scorpion's Tail' on Voltage Imprint and 'Malice' and 'Imperative Needs' as
part of a split EP with Pfirter on his MindTrip label. 2022 was his his most
prolific year to date with three full EPs seeing the light of day: 'Neutrino
EP' on James Ruskin's Blueprint Records, 'The Tunnel' on Setaoc Mass' hotshot
SK¦eleven and 'Atlantin' on his own Token Records |

Prinz & Prinz is one of the
most mysterious bands from 1980s Austria. It remains unknown who the two of
them actually were. Their music has never been sold in shops, either. It only
appeared on one of the obscure Youngers of Vienna-compilations, which were
the outcome of a local band contest. If this was a one-off project, it
certainly was a brilliant one. The first song on this 7“, “Kleine
Segelschiffe” (little sailboats), does everything right in combining reggae
rhythms and German vocals. The second track, “Einsamkeit” (loneliness), is a
weird, organic lo-fi disco tune that amounts to the best Austrian take on
Philly disco we have heard yet. Neither of the pieces disappoints. Both will
make you want to find out more about Prinz & Prinz |

(incl
tracks by Regal, DJ Emerson, Tensal & ¦asstnt) Involve Records starts the
new year with the 3rd edition of the acclaimed Nightclub Pros series, which
previously featured the likes of legends such as Maxx Rossi and DJ Ogi
besides young talents like Fractions and Chlär, always keeping the balance
between old-school and contemporary Techno. Label owner Regal opens the VA
with a trippy tool, reminiscent of his early basement weapons but with a
warehouse-ambience. 'Undisputed' gets straight to the point without
hesitation and keeps the pace high. DJ Emerson follows up with 'XTC', a
rumbling cut for peak time club moments with flashing strobe-lights, giving
the Van Halen classic an ecstatic Techno twist. On the flip side, Tensal from
the Spanish legendary duo Exium takes a deep dive into futuristic worlds in
'Metaverse', where a brew of chopped vocals accompanies the rolling drums
throughout the whole track. Up-and-coming DJ and producer ¦asstnt from Madrid
closes the EP with 'La Línea', an 8-min epic march characterized by a catchy
guitar riff and groovy percussion, alternating to a vocal insisting on
following the line of life |

At
the turn of the ‘90s, British dance music gave birth to two interconnected
styles that put heavy sub-bass front and centre: bleep techno and breakbeat
hardcore. Such was their popularity that the styles inspired countless
imitations and mutations, both within the UK and far beyond. This is the
story told in a major new retrospective from Musique Pour La Danse, Bleeps,
Breaks + Bass, a carefully curated and well-informed collection of rare and
sought-after tracks from the early ‘90s selected by label founders Olivier
Ducret and Bunkerheadz. Available on two limited-edition double LPs (each
presented in heavy cardboard gatefold sleeves on 180g, half speed-mastered
vinyl), compact disc and digital download, Bleeps, Breaks + Bass features
artwork by legendary graphic designer Trevor Jackson and extensive liner
notes from dance music historian Matt Anniss, author of the acclaimed book
Join The Future: Bleep Techno and the Birth of British Bass Music. A quick
glance at the track listing will confirm the depth and variety of Bunkerheadz
and Ducret’s selections, which largely sidestep celebrated anthems in favour
of overlooked gems, deeper cuts and genuine rarities – all of which have been
re-mastered by legendary bleep producer and engineer Rob Gordon (Forgemasters,
Xon, co-founder of Warp Records) and half-speed mastered/cut by Sidney Meier
at Emil Berliner. Across the collection you’ll find lesser-celebrated gems
from significant figures in the scene (Unique 3’s long-overlooked
‘Digicality’, rare tracks from 4 Hero side projects R-Solution and Tek9);
surprise bass-heavy excursions from popular outfits of the period (A Man
Called Adam, A Certain Ratio and The KLF’s ‘What Time Is Love’ as remixed by
The Moody Boys); significant but frequently forgotten underground anthems
(outings from Boneshakerz, Hypersonic, Ubik and KCC); secret weapons (Three
Sons, Heychild, Techno Excursion); and even a sub-heavy classic from
Norwegian ambient legend Biosphere. It all adds up to a significant
celebration of one of the most fertile periods in the development of dance
music with bleeps, breaks and bass |

STADT
is the musical concoction of Fulco Ottervanger (FULCO, Beraadgeslagen, De
Beren Gieren), Simon Segers (De Beren Gieren, MDC III, Black Flower), Joris
Cool and Frederik Segers (PJDS, Roland van Campenhout). Since 2013, the band
released three full albums, each of which fell under the heading of
'krautpop'. This time, they are doing something different. For their fourth
full-length album 'Meerstadt', the band headed for a cosy Dutch seaside town
without any plan. The living room overlooking the sea was transformed into a
recording studio. Animated by the rise and fall of the waves and their own
tunings, they created a new musical world in just a few days. Improvisations
were given plenty of time and space to unfurl into characterful songs. STADT
means having faith in each other, resulting in a balanced, melodic and
repetitive outing that immerses you in a limitless under(water) world in no
time. Letting go turns out to be the best remedy against the power of the
waves and the wind. Land in sight, more STADT insight |

After
appearing on the label's recent 'Federation of Rytm II' release alongside
some of the industry's most iconic artists, Steve Redhead is back on Mutual
Rytm, taking over the label from SHDW & Obscure Shape with a 6-track solo
EP delivering driving, furious and old-school influenced techno. The eleventh
installment of Mutual Rytm opens with the rolling grooves and choppy vocals
of 'Blokhut', which flows smoothly into the highly effective drums and
strings of 'Sea Choy', while 'Bruusk' closes the first side of the vinyl with
a hypnotic, well-crafted 90s influenced techno anthem. On the flip side, the
title track 'Eastbook Isle' is all about its rolling bassline, retro/electro
influences and a mesmerizing melody, while on the B2 'Planet Phatt' closes
the record perfectly with a classic old-school sounding cut, made to be the
last track of the set or those early morning moments. Last but not least is
the digital bonus track 'Monster Madness' and as the name implies it is the
hardest of the bunch, with aggressive late night grooves wrapped in deep,
repetitive and evocative chords. Undoubtedly one of his best works to date,
the Belgian producer keeps up the good work with his second appearance on the
label in the form of his Eastbook Isle EP, to be released on 7 April 2023 |

repress - SHDW & Obscure Shape launch new label Mutual Rytm with powerful
eight-track V/A "Federation Of Rytm I", featuring VIL & Cravo,
Lars Huismann, Grindvik and more. Favourites for many within today's modern
techno landscape, Stuttgart-based pairing Marco Blasi and Luigi Urban, aka
SHDW & Obscure Shape, continue to grow their profile and position as
artists leading the current new wave of techno. Having launched their first
label From Another Mind in 2014, releasing material from themselves alongside
remixes from the likes of Rodhad, James Ruskin and Dax J, early December
welcomes the arrival of a new project and a second imprint to the fold,
Mutual Rytm. Showcasing a new dimension of techno and electronic music,
celebrating originality and innovation by combining timeless cuts from the
past with cutting edge sounds of the present and the future, the label will
serve as a breeding ground for new artists alongside established talent and
legends from the scene. Opening the imprint in style, the label bosses head
up the first-ever release and the first V/A "Federation Of Rytm I"
as they welcome a selection of new and established talent. "Since the
beginning of the global pandemic, we have been diving deep into the roots of
our music and working on the aesthetics of our sound. That's when we realized
that now is the right time to start a new project which differs from FAM, in
both musical and artistic direction. The project will showcase a new
dimension that aims to channel the authentic perspectives of both established
and up-and-coming talents. With our new label, we want to give all artists
the opportunity of musical freedom and expression of their versatility as
producers. It is an honour to accompany the young artists on their careers,
to see them grow and to help them in their development as musicians." -
SHDW & Obscure Shape. The duos rolling opener "Conquest Of
Paradise" quickly sets the tone and builds to reveal a classy and slick
offering, combining rich stabs with tough drums and sharp hats, while Invexis
keeps the tempo high as he weaves escalating synths and pacy kicks across
"Elektronenwind". VIL & Cravo combine on the jacking and lively
"Apolonia Loop", as eerie synths work amongst warped vocals across
a tweaked out peak-time effort, before Alarico keeps the energy levels up
throughout the relentless funk of "I'm Into You". The second half
of the package sees Lars Huismann enter the fray with the no-nonsense,
snaking grooves of "Hyper Dub", with Nicolas Vogler's "Sauva
Bite" fusing hypnotic tones with straight regimented claps for an
intense yet playful ride through sounds and sonics. "Your Dry Lips"
switches up the aesthetic as Grindvik journeys down a wormhole of metallic
percussion and warping low-ends, before closing the show with authority via
Stigmata's grinding and menacing offering "Gestas" |

generic sleeve repress - Lars Huismann makes a quick return to SHDW &
Obscure Shape's newly minted Mutual Rytm imprint as he delivers a medley of
classic, groove-driven techno productions via his "Sounds From The Past
I" EP. With recent releases via labels such as Slam's iconic Soma,
Berlin-based DJ and producer Lars Huismann is quickly growing to become a
familiar name of note within today's modern techno landscape. Having featured
as one of the artists on the label's debut V/A release in February, with the
German set to feature as a regular across the imprint in coming months, he
unveils fresh shades to his sound palette on his return to Mutual Rytm with a
combination of six slick techno cuts across his "Sounds From The Past I"
EP. The powerful, rolling dynamics of "Surge" open proceedings as
Huismann quickly sets his stall, while "Collison" veers into slick,
looping territories as the energy and tension are kept tight and high. Next,
"Echo" ups the pace as tough kicks meet zipping melodies, filtered
chords and looping vocal interjections amongst a medley of flurrying
percussion licks, before "Funk Shed" takes cues from its title and
showcases a classy blend of classic Detroit-influenced sonics guided by
sweeping synths. Title cut "Sounds From The Past I" brings with it
flashes of serenity and peace, before erupting and spiralling effortlessly
into infectious and captivating drum grooves, before closing the show via the
rich yet muscular tones of final offering and digital bonus track

After a stunning debut on
Sublunar last year with the "Meta", Refracted is back on the label
run by Sciahri and Dagdrom with "Nothing is True, Everything is
Permitted", a new EP of four mind-bending techno tracks. Shuffle
Transmit opens the EP and immediately start to build the tension giving to
each sonic detail a distinctive personality while converging into a powerful
impact. Polar Creatures express solidity with razor shaped textures and
keeping a propulsive attitude during his continuous development. Deviant, the
most introspective track of the 12", bounces between vibrant pads and an
immersive sense of depth, everything feels weightless. Drone Ship, last track
of the EP, builds it's flow on a polyrhythmic hypnosis created between thick
drums and a nervous rash of offbeat bleeps |

Italo-Iranian producer Sciahriar
Tavakoli, commonly known as Sciahri, after releasing on renowned label as
Ilian Tape, Mord, Opal Tapes/Black Opal and MANHIGH finally presents his
first long playing record "Double-Edged", and he does it on his own
imprint, Sublunar Records. The LP is an extended, carefully compiled
exploration of the many facets of his signature sound, where emotional
melodies collide with dense and rasping basslines. The artist aims to express
emotions with unsettling simplicity, showcasing techno compositions that are
both thoughtful and primal. Within the space of ten tracks, Sciahri's sound
design reveals his structure, pushing the listener through a labyrinth of
textures and rhythms |

After the Doble-Edged Album in
2019, Sublunar owner Sciahri is back on his own imprint with a brand new EP.
Following the recent releases on Semantica, Non Series and Trauma, the
Italian-Iranian artist continues his exploration into the multi-faceted sound
of techno with highly refined and wellsculpted textures. The record
fluctuates from the Birmingham Techno sounds of "Paralyzed" to the
atmospheric tension of "The void", to be subsequently transported
to the more hypnotic and acidic "Pressure", and closing with the
paranoid and futuristic voices of "Lake of Snakes" |

After
the last part of the Corpora trilogy and the "Paralyzed" EP by the
label owner Sciahri, Sublunar is delighted to introduce a new artist into
their family. For the last decade, Calum Lee AKA Paleman has steadily built a
powerful catalogue of releases showcasing his unique percussive and textural
take on electronic music. In 2020 he launched a new alias 'Fresnel Lens' that
showcases his film scoring work and more experimental, explorative personal
works running alongside his continuing work as Paleman. After 2021's
self-released PLMN005, 2 Fresnel Lens albums and a short film OST, Paleman
turns to Florence based Sublunar Records in 2022 for his next release and
longest work to date - 'Veiled'. The release encapsulates a considered and
focused writing process informed by rhythm, momentum, abstract moods and a
desire for tangible visceral sound design orbiting techno, UK experimental
electronic music, and early electronics. 'Veiled' begins with a statement of
precision, opener Bite gallops into action with polyrhythmic vactrol loops
and grainy incisive modular sound design. The LP moves through moods, spaces
and tempos arriving at the distilled and appropriately named 'Mandible' that
chews into the previous tracks' themes with a stumbling urgency and an
insectoid textural palette. 'Veiled' feels like the culmination of a decade
of Paleman works, a collection of tracks and merged sonics that represents
his experiments, his club focused minimal works and his more recent
explorations on PLMN and as 'Fresnel Lens' with drone, experimental and
cinematic work. 'Veiled' paves the way for a new decade for Paleman,
condensed and focused, whilst simultaneously expressive, experimental and
