We
last heard from Radeckt on the Spektrum 2 compilation, now he’s back with his
debut solo EP. The Danish producer specialises in emotionally-driven club
music, designed to spark inspiration and moments of contemplation. The dance
floor is a safe space for free expression, human interaction and catharsis…
Radeckt’s music is the perfect accompaniment to these channels of connection,
while encouraging you to dance. On the Corroded Mind EP we get four original
cuts, all of which encapsulate Radeckt’s penchant for music that moves the
soul… It all begins with the title track. ‘Corroded Mind’ has a subdued
intro, gently guiding us into a mesmerising sonic landscape. Soft pads
massage the mind while siren-esque effects and metallic beats encourage the
body to move to their hypnotic rhythm. Radeckt imbues the second half with
drama and energy, while still keeping the mood sombre. ‘Narrative Lie’
utilises layers of emotive synth and serene sounds, along with a meandering
melody that lures you into its rhythmic flow. The glum low end counteracts
the brighter elements of the track creating a neat juxtaposition. As the
track progresses, the intensity of the main motif increases, sending
temperatures rising. Next up is ‘Invisible Guard’ with its oscillating bass
and simple, yet highly effective riff. Radeckt confidently applies the
pressure, carefully increasing the tension until we reach a scintillating
breakdown which takes us into the glorious second half. ‘Silver Lining’
closes the EP, bringing a little bounce to the release. Radeckt gives us
stuttered beats with great use of percussion to provide the energetic allure
of this cut. As it builds, he incorporates an earworm melody along with neon
laser synth lines and the whole thing feels like an eighties TV show theme
with 21st Century sheen |

Yes, my friends< A new 14-cut album from London's finest, no doubt to cost
Crypt more 'garage/punk cred' within the ranks of those 'hip'. Well, believe
me, I just spent 24 hours going thru a stack of over 200 demos from
half-assed newly 'hep' 'garage' and 'punk' bands and the Teasers cut a bold
swath through alla these nouveau Caesars or D Dogs attempters, never mind
alla these pissant surf/lo-fi/'trash' punkers with absolutely no fucking
SUBSTANCE or originality. I will admit that the Teasers AIN'T yer 'typical'
Crypt 'sound'< Hell, they almost fit in and could even appeal to 'garage'

Ponyland
are a psychedelic punk, force of nature, a multi-limbed monster of
scuzzed-out riffs and thunderous ritualistic grooves. Combining the grinding
onslaught of Lightning Bolt, the ecstatic spectacle of Sun Ra and the
irreverent spirit of System of a Down, this unhinged, masked menagerie have
to be seen to be believed. Intoxicating rhythms meet hook driven waves of
riffage, with ecstatic energy that will make your legs rattle uncontrollably.
Following on from their debut album Mora Mora, this new full length LP HARE
BRAINS sees Ponyland embrace a new edge to their visionary sound world.
Keeping the trademark, pulverising double drum kit engine and fuzz-drenched
psychedelic soundscapes, the band have supercharged their songwriting with
focused riff-based hooks and driving punk-edged vigour. Prominent female
vocals channel Bikini Kill and Warpaint, whilst gritty, melted electronics
flow around a classic thrashing guitar sound. Hare Brains is a celebration of
dysfunction, a call to arms against human apathy, a psychotropic odyssey of
eroded power structures, post-apocalyptic landscapes and mutant pigeons. The

collection of productions representing the sound of the guest selector. For
the second edition, we look to Soft Focus, also know as Forbidden Fruit,

"Cross
My Heart" is a tribute to the harmonica player and singer James Cotton,
one of Boney Fields" heroes and companions on the road, is certainly the
most representative track of this thrilling groove mood that authentic blues
musicians know how to infuse. Boney Fields possesses that almost funk tone
matured enough to tickle our ears and make us tap our feet. By revitalizing,
for example, "The Thrill Is Gone" in the spirit of its original
author (Roy Hawkins), Boney Fields perpetuates the tradition of spirited
orchestras of yesteryears without compromising the modernity of its
irresistible tempo. Much more personal than all his previous albums,
"Just Give Me Some Mo" is also the expression of introspection,
that of a man who remembers without drowning in dark nostalgia. He thinks of
the courage of his mother bravely facing obstacles in an unequal America.
"Back in the Day" is not a sad song. It makes one stronger and
nurtures faith in the future. This melody is certainly the most touching of
the six compositions written by Boney Fields. From "Control of you"
to "Something" holding me" or "I know yes I Know" he
invites us into his intimate biography, the story of a large family shaken by
inevitable upheavals that must be faced, the destiny of a combative musician
who resists adversity. Boney Fields chose to let his soul speak. This effort
of truth had to be supported by the artistic direction of a master. By
enlisting Sebastian Danchin for the production of this album, Boney Fields
turns to a historian of African-American culture whose keen ear has already
won over Little Milton, Mighty Mo Rodgers, Toni Green, and Jean-Jacques
Milteau, among others... Their exchanges uncovered a perfect understanding of
"Chicago Blues" the brassy vigor of which they experienced
firsthand 40 years ago. Surrounding oneself with the right people is quite a
challenge. Fortunately, Boney Fields knows how to spot true talents. He was
convinced that the Senegalese guitarist Hervé Samb would also be a good
musical director. Hadn"t he been the first to highlight the expressive
power of this luminous composer and arranger? The enduring vitality of the
blues, when narrated with precision and insight, always manages to find its
legitimacy. The months of reflection, of questioning, will not have been in
vain. They have given substance and depth to this thrilling record which, we
wager, will be a milestone. Boney Fields has waited long enough. Does he want
more? We will give him more! "Just Give Me Some Mo" will now be a

The Maureens are back with their
new album "Everyone Smiles". Guitar pop inspired by the greats of
the golden 60s and 70s: songs you hum along to after one listen. The
Maureens: the perfect soundtrack for a late summer night, though the band gives
you that feeling just as easily on a Sunday afternoon in February. The band
is a Dutch four piece founded in 2012. Originating from the central Utrecht
music scene, the band nowadays operates from the rural east of the
Netherlands. It hasn't changed the sound of The Maureens: the melancholic
songs of Hendrik-Jan de Wolff exude love of melody and harmony. The band will
release their fourth album in January 2024, titled "Everyone

If anyone in the reggae circles could be described as having their own sound
it would have to be Mr Augustus Pablo, born Horace Swaby 1954 St Andrew
Jamaica. He took the humble melodica a wind blown mouth keyboard and made it
shine. His musical journey started one sunny day in 1969. Walking into Herman
Chin- loy's Aquarius Records shop and on playing his melodica so impressed
its owner that he was taken off to Randy's Studio 17, the very next day to
cut his first record 'Iggy Iggy'. But it was his second tune under the
guidance of Clive Chin again cut at Randy's, the seminal 'Java ' that put the
young Augustus Pablo on the map. Clive Chin continued his work producing
Pablo's debut album 'THIS IS AUGUSTUS PABLO' . An instrumental affair on which
the neo-mystical ''Far East'' sound synonymous with Pablo's work emerged.
Having worked with most of the top producers of the time,Lee Perry,Keith
Hudson, Bunny Lee, Augustus decided to set up his own label
"Rockers", named after his brothers sound system.Where many of his
tunes would first be heard.The label came to define a new and exciting
chapter in reggae history.Even when versioning acknowledged classic Studio
One rhythms there was a precious maturity and depth to Pablo's productions that
kept him at the top throughout the late 1970s and into the 1980s. His 'King
Tubby meets the Rockers Uptown' set which featured some of these rhythms
reworked; Swing Easy[Skanking Easy], Frozen Soul[Frozen Dub], stands as one
of the true dub classic albums of any reggae education. This set of dubs are
taken from his classic 70's period.All rare dubs straight from the masters.

hear the realness of a legend-worthy path in dance music in every tough beat
and in every bass line twist and turn: the opener 'Dirty Smack' is a raw,
no-frills mutant banger that will throw even the most bashful raver into a
frenzy, reminding us all why we miss dancing together so much. 'Stress Will
Kill You' is a tense, paranoid techno roller featuring a super effective lead
over an economic but super banging technoid beat&bass. 'Synth Lies' is
another trip recalling Midwest movements and exuberant composers like

Pascal
Viscardi has built an impressive catalog over the last few years. After
appearing on the Saft imprint in the summer of 2015, he is now releasing his
"Lluvia De Verano" mini-LP as the sophomore release on the labels
sub outlet "Born". Lluvia De Verano is an album in its own right
that captures Viscardi's broad production expertise and showcases his often
ethereal sound palette across six original tracks. On the first position of
the A-side we find the title track. Dreamy mallets and masculine + feminine
voices portray a Riviera setting with a great feel of authenticity in a track
Viscardi himself described as "Afro Cosmic Downtempo". As a treat,
for the second track, Milano based Chile born - Paula Tape reworks Lluvia De
Verano into a Mediterranean afterhours (club oriented) remix. "Guided By
A White Light" is an ambiance based work that builds on Viscardi's lush
sound palette and - according to the artist - is a homage to the new age
scene with a cheap Roland twist. As the B-side opener we find the cheerful
tones of "La Chemise Versace", that is a freestyle tribute to Wally
Badarou. A snare dominated drum pattern serves as the back bone while the
synth chords and blips are radiant. On the B2 position we find an ode to the
capital of Surinam, "Paramaribo" is a bass heavy disco cut that
revolves around otherworldly synth leads on heavy FX. The tribal sounding
drums could definitely remind one of the South American capital and it's tradition

Soma
welcome the debut album from the ever-growing roster of youthful talent as
Lewis Fautzi drops The Gare Album, named in homage to The Gare Club, Porto,
where Lewis made his discovery of Techno. A bold 4 track single debut gave
rise to the album process midway through 2013 and under the careful
supervision of Soma, Lewis has provided a definitive peak in his sound
cultivated on the back of years of studio work. A collection of deep, dark
and twisted techno awaits heralding a coming of age for the Portuguese
native. A droning, industrial vibe is immediate from the outset as Signal
crackles into existence giving way to the cavernous UBV-76 with its concrete
swathes of noise. High intensity pings form the depths give a sense of what
is to come. Intriguing, broken beats deepen proceeding as Lewis takes things
to The Other Side of Reality. A momentarily respite before he begins to open
things up. Blocker takes the tempo up a notch with a thumping kick and looped
out chaotic synths that slowly build the tension. This brooding atmosphere is
carried on into the tweeked out and mesmerizing Sick, the punishing, bleeped
workout of Range and the relentless, discord of Loudness. By this point Lewis
has really worked up into a frenzy. Tight percussive workouts keep this album
firing on all cylinders. A short interlude is offered as Opaque drifts
quickly through the chaos of this straight to the floor album. Through the
darkness, a glimmer of Hope shines through, albeit a cold and fleeting techno
version as Lewis leaves you bare and bleeding. Yet more dance floor action as
the elasticated synths of Binary (recently remixed by Spanish techno don
Oscar Mulero) tear through the backbone of the album. By far Lewis most
destructive track. The static buzz of Psychiatric is a welcome come down from
the headiness of the previous track allowing Lewis to lead us through the
black hole, ending on the Other Planet. Its swirling, vortex like pads sliced
open with subtle percussive, other worldly bleeps. A fitting end to this
hyperactive techno journey. A definite maturity in production shines through
on this fantastic LP from Fautzi as he creates a cold and calculating output,
clearly focused on the future. The Gare Album has allowed Fautzi to express
himself fully through electronic music, a task that he has taken to
whole-heartedly |

We
celebrate our number 30 with a double pack, featuring one of the creators of
techno in Spain: Groof. Roberto Gemelin, from Madrid, is Groof. He's Robert
Calvin too. No matter which of his alias you know him by, he's one of the
most active producers in the Madrid arena. Aka Robert Calvin, he released
materials with Turbo (Tiga's label) in 2004, having previously collaborated
with Star Whores in a joint release with Alek Stark (2002). Also important
are the remixes he did for Disko B or for Sindicato Records and MSX, paying
tribute to Megabeat with his recreation of the great classic Strange. His
background as Groof is even more extensive, as his early steps go back to the
times of Minifunk (the cheeky and shameless label from Barcelona that was
then managed by Omar and Dj Loe). With them he recorded Mambo! (1999) and I
want you (2000). He has also recorded with WarmUp, Fieber, Rainwaves or
Shareware Records. At the end of the ninetees Groof shared Quite Unusual with
Oscar Mulero: the start of a deep friendship that nowadays brings us WU30
mini-album. 'Angel exterminador' is on the A side; modern and dark techno,
based on cemented beats and deep synth work. A track that is constantly
growing and evolving; quality and punch in one track. 'Diagrama esporadico'
goes next: relaxed BPM, 909 beats, spacey arpeggios, and analogue synth
percussions for a mental feeling. 'Gummy' starts with weird flanged noises,
fed with distorted drums and drones that create an elastic feeling, hence the
gummy name. Scientific techno. 'Amb' goes back to darkness, subtle ambiences
and drones, fixed sequences and a clever arrangement. 'Vac 04' continues on
the same mood: obscure synths, classic drum machines, sharp hats and white
noise. Closing the release, 'Islands' is a liquid track based on lush
keyboards, and a dubby feeling with those endless delays. A classy number. A
nice mini-album which is diverse, complex, classic and futuristic at the same
time |

Music non-stop. Not quite content with already chalking up two of the biggest
EPs of 2013 so far from Midland and Dusky, Aus return once again with yet
another release you've been waiting for - the return of Belfast's biggest
sons, Bicep. The London-based duo of Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar had
a breakthrough year in 2012, four years after the pair's Feel My Bicep blog
first began. The past year has seen them play in more than a dozen countries,

The
hyper talneted Stellar Om Source (NOT NOT FUN, RVNG, NO 'LABEL) blowing up
new styles on this one! "If there is one thing that leaps out from
Stellar OM Source’s music, it is the sense of a highly active mind at work.
There is an indivisible feeling that a real person is behind this dynamic
flurry of tones, waves, vibrations and modulations. On I See Through You, the
first full Stellar OM Source release in over four years, the spark that first
LP piqued the interest of so many listeners is glowing stronger than ever. In
the 2010's, Christelle Gualdi carved a name as one of the most essential live
electronic musicians around, dazzling dancers and home listeners in kind with
her bombastic, acidic hardware jams. Circumstances outside her control forced
a stop for the Stellar OM Source project. It was touring, including two shows
in the summer of 2019 at Dekmantel Festival and Listen! that Gualdi credits
as year highlights, which proved to be the integral jump-start to the engine.
Inspiration came rushing back thanks to the human connection of performing.
Seeing a younger generation connect with her put fresh charge into the
circuitry of her gear. All this accrued into new material on the road, and
thus I See Through You was born. The spirit of 2013’s cult favourite Joy One
Mile is alive and well on I See Through You. There is once again immediacy,
urgency and lust. But Stellar OM Source stepping into a comparatively more
poppy and playful mode on these four tracks could also throw some. Fundamentally
she says, it comes from a similar place, and ends with an enmeshed and
positive outcome. Gualdi credits both “1995 rave” and “the clarity, bass and
breath” of hi-def hip-hop productions as being twin northern stars for her to
follow. The artwork comes from friend and highly respected photographer &
director Pierre Debusschere, whose work similarly flits between arresting
close-ups and, well, the widescreen luxe of Beyoncé videos. “I’m definitely
not a purist anymore,” Gualdi laughs – and with club-ready impact meeting
human warmth, this shows in abundance. “Night Alone” wastes no time in
getting the listener up to speed. Is that an LFO sample running through
“Night Alone”? Is this a lost Metro Area classic? Is that Stellar OM Source
taking a diversion into searching Ibiza-rousing vocal for a moment, or did we
imagine that in a heat haze? Where are the kicks? Oh there they are. How many
elements are buried and revived within just over five minutes? It’s hard to
tell. Before we know it, “Lost Codes” is up and away, keeping pulses racing.
A pitter-patter of baby kicks feel like a pre-tremor before a welting
electro-Italo lead crashes into play. With fizzing energy, rasping synths and

"Tell Me" from the eponymous Rainbow Team album dated back 1981, is
re-edited by J.B. Boogie. On the flipside, italo-disco funk gem
"Gosh" by Galaxy band is rematered and repressed for the first time
on vinyl, while the neapolitan funky jam "O' Guaglione" by Tony

Hessle Audio welcomes Toumba to
the label with the four track EP 'Petals'. Based in Amman, Jordan, Toumba
explores Levantine microtonality, rhythms, play styles and timbres across the
record. Lead track 'Istibtan' is a twist on a typical Jordanian wedding song
with deep subs providing the foundations, while 'Petals' rides on the heavy
swing which is unique to music from the south of Jordan. On the flip side,
'Hazzeh' deconstructs Dabkeh, while the EP is rounded off with 'Identity
Crisis' which is four minutes of lilting melodies all in Maqam Rast but
played in an untraditional way. Toumba is a producer, DJ and sound designer
and is a curator at MNFA, a club and arts space in Jordan's capital Amman. A
nationally respected artist, Toumba also holds a residency at the MMAG
Foundation. The foundation works with a selection of the most gifted artists
in the Levant, providing a space for artistic research, production and
critical discourse |

nothing to envy to the Daniele Baldelli DJ. This is demonstrated by the
authoritativeness of the first two 12› of six of the series "Cosmic
Temple› on Mondo Groove label. What strikes the eye are the covers, with fluorescent
colors, which will form a patchwork created by Aldo Drudi (the designer of
Valentino Rossi), a large mosaic that interprets garish aesthetics/logo
Cosmic. But immediately then the music takes the stage, 3 tracks in
"Chapter 1" and 3 tracks in "Chapter 2", able to tell the
true mood of the imaginary Baldelli™s sound and take them to a land of
wonders. Chapter 4: An ingredient that can not miss in Baldelli Cosmic
project is Afro-beat: "Joka Joka", sung by congolese Bale Mondonga.
"Vhanessa" is a magical flight in search of distant galaxies, a
tribal electro joints game a kind of Rubik's cube. The Kraftwerk-ian
"Archetipo" leaves us waiting for the arrival of the chapter 5 and
6 to complete this Cosmic Temple, to listen to and to watch the puzzle of 6

serves up Side A with ˜Dark World™, an epic, slow burning, dark-house
journey. ˜Dark World™ begins completely stripped back before the main hook,
an eerie hypnotic vocal is introduced. Funky percussive elements creep in
which drive the piece forward and a deep minor pad heightens the tension
setting the tone for the rest of the track. The energy builds gradually with
the addition of a 303 bass line peaking just before the end, taking the
listener on a dark hypnotic trip. On the flip, is none other than house &
techno legend MR G who uses the Dark World vocal but takes it somewhere new
providing his own unique and distinctive flavour. Mr G™s Rum Remix is a dark
and twisted peak-time banger, the high energy from the off set perfectly
complementing the slower vibe of the original. Plenty of sub and twisted
synth action keeps the momentum high and the dark stab he uses punctuates the

tragedy happened early 2022 when Russia started the war against the
souvereign Ukraine, killing innocent people day by day.. Our artists insist
