Iron
Maiden's legendary debut EP (plus the 4th song recorded in those sessions) is
the stuff of Heavy Metal legend. Presenting the band in their earlier (and
rawer) stage is an absolute must for any fans of the band. To round this
amazing document this record compiles other interesting and powerful rarities
(b sides, covers, live recordings) from Maiden's early career. Up the
Irons! On December 30th and 31st 1978,
early demo versions were laid down in Spaceward Studios of what would
eventually become the debut EP from future British metal giants Iron Maiden.
The three tracks in question ('Iron Maiden', 'Invasion', 'Prowler') were all
recorded within the same session, making for a far more primitive and raw
offering than the finalised studio versions that would ultimately find their
home on the band's self-titled 1980 debut LP. This compilation restores the
original three-track The Soundhouse Tapes EP, while including a bevvy of
additional demos, alternative takes and live cuts from the formative,
(pre-Bruce Dickinson) Paul Di'Anno era |

Kim Fowley has been a maverick
presence in rock & roll history for over fifty years: songwriter,
recordings with Gene Vincent, Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers and
countless others, early manager of The Runaways and plenty of glorious
failures along the way. "Living In The Street" (1977) is a
compilation of his solo recordings, some of them dating back to the beginning
of the decade, taken from several singles, alternative projects and
overlooked b/sides. It also includes three new acoustic songs with a certain
Captain Beefheart's or Dylanesque flavor. "Living in the Streets"
remains a worthy monument to the seventies recordings of the Dorian Gray of
Rock'n'Roll, the human jukebox: the unstoppable Kim Fowley. This is the first

singles published by Valencia's cult band Modificación in the early 70s as
well as the remaining unreleased recordings from the same sessions, crafted
under the influence of bands like Grand Funk Railroad, Iron Butterfly,
Vanilla Fudge, Rare Earth, Led Zeppelin. Includes the legendary freakbeat
number "Across the Time", that has found its rightful place, over
the years, as one of the most admired and sought-after Spanish singles from
that period. This is an accomplished portrait of one of the most legendary
Spanish underground bands from those years whose fans, unable to find the
elusive -and now very expensive- records, were crying out for an urgent
reissue of their work. Extensive liner notes by the renowned specialist
Vicente Fabuel and previously unseen pictures have been included here,

Alfredo
"El Inca" Linares is one of the best and most beloved musicians in
the history of salsa. Fans love his piano playing because of his authentic
Cuban feel and 'swing' combined with progressive arrangements and
uncompromising phrasing. "Lo Que Tengo" is full of rock solid dance
floor killers and no filler, recorded in 1980 with some of the cream of the
crop of contemporary Venezuelan salsa musicians (members of Mango, Madera, El
Trabuco Venezolano, Los Dementes, Los Melódicos, Dimensión Latina, Guaco, and
La Salsa Mayor) and launched there on the indie label A.L.G. Records as !Con
Todo!, and then a year later on the much larger Velvet Records with a
different cover. This a classic Alfredo Linares album, but with the updated studio
sound of 1980s Caracas. With five perfectly paced salsas, one funky cha cha
chá, a steamy bolero and a dance-friendly Latin jazz number to top it off,
there is something for everybody on this record. Thankfully today's
generation can now enjoy this rarity at a fraction of the cost of an original

much-anticipated third volume of his 'Sounds From The Past' trilogy. A core
part of SHDW & Obscure Shape's ever more crucial Mutual Rytm imprint
thanks to his timeless techno offerings as part of his ongoing 'Sounds From
The Past' series, Berlin-based DJ/producer Lars Huismann's stock continues to
rise release by release as a talent merging influences from the past with
forward-thinking nuances of the future. Drawing on the early 2000 techno
sound, he embellishes it with his own perspective, as evidenced by his
earlier releases on the label. This latest six-track offering is another
accomplished outing from this unique talent as he concludes the three-part
series on the label in style. The title track 'Sound From The Past III' opens
up with a finely filtered chord groove that provides a smooth and hypnotising
foundation. A subtle bassline, buoyant kick drums, and embedded vocal
patterns harmonise with the synths, unveiling a smooth linear groove that
soon sweeps you up. 'Fusion' brings more intensity with its barreling drum
kicks, a dirty driving bassline, and melodies flashing by like headlights on
an intergalactic motorway, with the overhanging pent-up energy inescapable.
Next, 'Shimmer' rides on vast, heavy layered drums that are warm, and
comforting as the track travels through a journey of diverse dub techno
elements. Like in 'Loucura', taken from 'Sounds From The Past II', Lars again
showcases his strong influences from Brazilian and Latin music. On 'Estar
Farto', the drums and bass are tightly interwoven, racing beneath bright and
funky synth lines that bring ever-evolving shades of colour. A jazz drummer
himself, the music transports into the groove via intelligent brass chord
progressions and fine-tuned vocal and percussion elements. It's straight
dance floor business on the closing vinyl production 'Bittersweet', with its
muted synth smears darting over more macho drum programming, while digital
bonus 'Dusty Lick' is an unrelenting, jazzy, percussion-driven banger that
hits hard and heavy in all the right places |

their three years of existence, DOODSESKADER has been relentlessly pushing
the envelope of what it means to be a “heavy” band. From the grunge-infused
sludge on their EP “MMXX : Year Zero” to the punishing blend of hiphop and
hardcore of their debut album “Year One” and the sonic onslaught of
relentless rapping on standalone singles such as “FLF” and “Still Haven’t
Killed Myself”, they’re breaking free of any form of categorization. The duo

Emerging
Belgian DJ/producer STEYA shares her debut EP on IMF, becoming just the ninth
artist to release a full body of work on Marcel Fengler's influential label.
The Berlin-based artist has stamped herself as one to watch since breaking
through in 2022, a regular at RSO Berlin and Grelle Forelle in Vienna, she's
also played Tomorrowland, Exhale, Rex Club andBasement in NYC. Her first
forays into production reinforced her quality, with 'Neon Reecho' featuring
on RAW's Third Eye compilation in 2021, followed by the release of 'Elysian'
on BCCO's second V/A as well as the excellent 'Prototype X' on the '10 Years
of IMF' that dropped in 2022, followed by a standout contribution to the
label's new HARDPROOF V/A series in 2023 with 'Trigger Me'.
Her debut EP crystalises 20 years of devotion to techno, presenting abroad
palette of sonic influences formed since her early days as araver in Antwerp.
At the same time, it continues the label's philosophy of pairing a next
generation artist with one of the greats of the genre, with STEYA's hero
Rolando featuring on her 'Dopamine EP' with a remix of the incandescent
'Things You Never Said'. Growing up in Belgium where the 'Knights of the
Jaguar' was a staple childhood anthem, it was "one of her biggest wishes
to have him as a remixer". An EP borne through two years of dedicated
studio time, 'Dopamine EP' kicks off with the electric title track, a gritty
tribal outing marked by dynamic shifts in tempo throughout. 'Fast Life' is a
slick bass-led cut with plenty of bottom-end kick before a punchy synth
melody get sadded to the brew. Swedish producer Hertz - a favourite of
STEYA's ("I've played one of his tracks in every set since the beginning
of my career") joins the project to re-work the title track, upping the
energy ofthe original. 'Things You Never Said' begins life centred around
energetic rolling grooves, before warm synth rushes give it a distinct Motor
City vibe. Rolando fittingly steps up for remix duties to close out the EP,
delivering a masterclass in deep simmering techno, extending the original by
two minutes. "It's a big honour to release my debut EP on such an
amazing label like IMF, which is very close to my heart. I poured my heart
and soul into this project. It showcases the artistic direction I've
developed overthe last few years and is an important milestone in my artist

is a Berlin based label platforming a new wave of driving, pulsating techno.
The vision sees each release shadowed by a mystic, dark sex appeal. SR001 is
a 4-track EP and the genesis of SEXYRECS. The VA release is a solid
embodiment of what the label stands for: a gradual descent from hypnotic,
vocal cuts to rougher, poignant rhythms. Each track pleads for a lustful
surrender. The A-side opens with a deepened, looping finish. 'Rubber Hands'
amps up the heat as blends of ominous, distorted percussive elements crawl
into the sonic landscape. P.E.A.R.L. provides a suffocating, sweaty track
with a nod to tribal. With the second track, Bailey Ibbs creates texture
through layers of cryptic vocals and crunchy mid tones with a neatly produced
groove track. 'Lied To Laure' offers a fresh perspective to hypnotic techno,
combining a light approach with a darker aura. Flipping to the B-side,
powerful shapeshifitng, patterns of intense harmonies, spiral, twist rise and
fall. Loren Kuehne's paradoxically named 'Less' is the antithesis of its name
as it enthralls you, leaving you begging for more. Continuing with a
kaleidoscope of rhythm, 'The Beatbox' slides in, framed with piercing
bass-kicks and propelled with a dirty, forceful undercurrent of sound. FRAZI.ER
masterfully orchestrates a melodically deep and razor-sharp peak-time track.

Garnier select new tracks for [QR]V.200.SPK.24 by six COD3 QR favourites
Jules Wells, Skatman, Works Of Intent, Squal G, YANNLEAN and Joaquim Plossu.
Following June's "[QR]V.172.TAM.24", featuring tracks by Avision,
DJ Deep and Deetron, Laurent Garnier's COD3 QR label is back with another
vinyl-only release. This varied
6-pack, coded "[QR]V.200.SPK.24" is comprised of exclusive tracks
from members of the extended COD3 QR family: Skatman, Works Of Intent, Yann
Lean, and Joaquim Plossu & Salem Focus, alongside Jules Wells'
"Dreamer" (released digitally on the label in May) and Squal G's
"Waiting 4U" (from April). Skatman, the Berlin based, Tunisian born
DJ, producer and label head of Cognitive Prophecy follows up his huge COD3 QR
track "Tribute to a Dancefloor" with the deep, groovy and aptly
titled "Transcending House".
He has already gained recognition for his approach to electronic
music, bridging the gap between classic and contemporary with tracks on
Innervisions and Correspondent, becoming one of the most intriguing and
captivating artists. Jules Wells who delivered the infectious "The Clap"
on COD3 QR 016 is back with the retro House sound of
"Dreamer". Jules Wells is
from Bordeaux, France. Strongly
influenced by the Motor City, Jules has released on the likes of Submerge,
Twilight 76, KMS, Planet E, Brique Rouge and Logos (Macedonia). Works Of
Intent, a core member of the UK South Asian collective DAYTIMERS and
Emotional Weaponry label owner, has recently released an acclaimed guest mix
for the legendary John Digweed's Transitions radio show. Known for his ability to blend emotive
storytelling with rhythmic precision, he follows up his "Richer
Sound" album (released last year on the label) with the intricate and
uncompromising "Subversive". Producer and manager of the Slates
Records label, Squal G is a French artist who has been passionate about
electronic music since the early '90s.
Initially, he practised his art as a DJ before turning to machines and
computers as he progressed with production.
Never sticking to a single style, instead, allowing inspiration to
lead him, he nevertheless remains in the Techno spirit, as heard on
"Waiting 4U". A multi-faceted composer and DJ, Yann Lean also works
as a sound engineer for himself and other artists. Whether working as a duo with Madben and
their side project Trunkline or as a solo artist, he has won the trust and
support of prestigious labels such as KMS, Bedrock, Planet Rhythm, Skryptom
and Materia, as well as COD3 QR who released "Hope" in 2020. Now he's back with tribal drums on "To
Get Close". French born, Mexican resident Joaquim Plossu has been making
music as a producer, multi-instrumentalist and sound designer for the past 20
years with releases on COD3 QR, 31 Recordings, Fokuz, Repertoire, Deep Heads,
Planet Rhythm and more. Both music
composer and producer for TV and films, as well as Drum & Bass producer
in his spare time, he teams up again with Leeds (UK) based Salem Focus (Fokuz
Records / Soulvent / Galacy) for some energetic D&B on closing track
