installment explores the darkest, neglected and rebellious side of Peruvian
60s garage beat. "Algo Salvaje" is an anthology devoted to a rich
period when hundreds of bands appeared all over the world and, after paying
attention to what their US and British contemporaries were doing, found their
own way to vent their teenage rebellion through loud guitars. With amazing

This cumbia candy has been recorded in Lima by no other than Pancho Acosta,

Yazz
Ahmed's album ‘Polyhymnia’ celebrates female courage, determination, and
creativity. Commissioned by Tomorrow’s Warriors in 2015, she wrote an
extended work for their Nu Civilisation Orchestra, performed at the Women of
the World Festival on International Women’s Day at the QEH, London.
Channelling Polyhymnia, the Greek Muse of music, poetry, and dance, Yazz
created a suite of movements dedicated to outstanding women role models.
Thisalbum contrasts her previous work, "La Saboteuse," which was
driven by her inner-destroyer or anti-muse. Since the premiere performance,
the music evolved and deepened, with Yazz choosing to feature a wider pool of
artists, including members of her Hafla band and other musical friends, on
this recording. Yazz shares her musical response to the stories and
achievements of exceptional women, including Rosa Parks, Haifaa Al-Mansour
and Malala Yousafzai, and simultaneously illuminates the creativity and
talents of her musical collaborators. She hopes to inspire others, echoing
Malala's words, "to be brave, to embrace the strength within themselves,
and realise their full potential" |

Following
up on the Hayal EP in 2023, Dutch techno refractor Konduku makes a welcome
return to Bitta with another four cuts of prismatic club fuel. Throughout his
consistent output Ruben Uvez applies non-standard ideas to the techno
formula, toying with rhythm and eliciting transcendental atmospheres from
unusual patterns. This mode of exploration continues unabated on Gazoz, with
the title track in particular leaning on a full-frequency, one-note synth
pulse which dominates the mix and becomes truly hypnotic in its relentless
presence. In the wrong hands it would come off garish, but ?vez knows how to
weave subtlety around such forthright sonics to create a sublime sonic
experience. 'Mikros' aligns with Konduku's more recognisable palette -- taut,
bell-like rhythmic threads that balance delicacy and impact while tunnelling
into mysterious, introspective zones. Aimed squarely at the heads-down
section of the night, 'Luna' strides forth with a decisive dub techno palette
and finds space for expression and progression in the most linear of
arrangements. In true B2 style, 'Inici' rounds the EP out with a more
fractured approach centred on reversed kicks and psychoactive arps riding
wide and slow pitch bends for a mind-melting finish running at a formidable
pace. As well as showcasing Konduku at his best, the sound on Gazoz serves as
an extension of Bitta boss DJ Nobu's own particular tastes in techno --
brain-tweaking machine music crafted from supple parts, honed for the club
without being limited by it |

Jack returns to Crosstown Rebels as he delivers his ?rst EP on the label with
‘The Late Shift’. The release, set to drop on 6th December 2024, delivers a
standout o?ering featuring two collaborations with vocalist Liz Cass and two
solo productions from the fast-rising house music talent. London-born,
Ibiza-based DJ/producer Cameron Jack has quickly become a name on the up,
having been championed heavily by Crosstown Rebels’ founder Damian Lazarus,
as well Blond:ish and Lee Burridge. While still young in his musical journey,
2024 has seen him sharing stages with heavyweights such as Seth Troxler,

returns to Lazarus’ brainchild with his ?rst EP on the label as he unveils a
re?ned exploration of his late-hours sound with ‘The Late Shift’. The EP
kicks off with two collaborations featuring singer/songwriter Liz Cass, whose
vocal talents have graced tracks from Hot Since 82 to Nora En Pure. The
opening track, ‘Dusk Till Dawn,’ pairs deep, rolling grooves with Liz's

Dark
Entries has raided the bathhouse to bring us Deep Entries: Gay Electronic
Excursions 1979-1985, 10 tracks of obscure queer synth bliss. One of Dark
Entries' most important missions has been illuminating neglected facets of
gay musical history, with crucial archival works by legends like Patrick
Cowley, Sylvester, and Man Parrish. On Deep Entries, the label spans 6 years
of gay electronics - from sultry to angsty to camp, these songs are
overflowing with snappy 808 snares and sinewy analog synth leads. The '80s
were a difficult period for many in the gay community as they grappled with
the horrors of the HIV/AIDS crisis. The 10 tracks on Deep Entries, varied in
genre and vibe, are united in their portraiture of 1980s gay life, and the
hope for love or fleeting romance. Previously unreleased cruising soundtracks
come courtesy of Patrick Cowley’s “Love Me Hot” featuring vocalist Paul
Parker and Boytronic’s “Tonight (Alternate Mix)” set on Hamburg’s famous
“Mile of Sin.” Brisbane-based Megamen deliver the proto-electroclash number
“Designed for Living,” which prefigures Madonna’s Marlene Dietrich rap in
“Vogue.” Trans vocalist Paula "Ula" Villagrá declares, “Everyone is gay!” on Muzak’s
“Happy Song,” a skittering tecnopop anthem. Dereck Higgins' “This Was
Something” rings like a lost Joy Division cut draped in bizarre effects, and
Polar Praxis’ “(I Want) To Be Different” is a seething ode to alterity.
Nightmoves’ “Nightdrive,” is best known as the brooding instrumental B-side
to their epochal “Transdance.” Transistor Jet’s “Master Of The Universe (BW's
f-w)”, Maxx Mann’s “Just Like a Razor” and Bachelor’s Anonymous’ “A
Stranger’s Bed” are mood music for the pleasures of BDSM and one-night
stands. The record comes housed in a retro bathhouse fantasy sleeve designed
by Gwenaël Rattke and includes a double-sided poster with photographs and
lyrics. Deep Entries arrives on December 1st in honor of World AIDS day, and
proceeds will go to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation |

You’re
NEXUS 21, central to the dizzy zeitgeist of the 1991 adrenaline rammed UK
House Music juggernaut, and you have just recorded a masterpiece of an album
MIND MACHINES. DON’T DO IT LIKE THAT - somehow even though your record label
love the album it does not get released. DO IT LIKE THIS - it finally gets
issued now. When Mark Archer and Chris Peat flew back from a seminal
recording session at Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Studio in Detroit there was a
palpable feel of excitement. Instead of merely paying homage to their Techno
forerunners, they were now creating their own just as innovative waveforms.
In the can was a gem - DON’T DO IT LIKE THIS, DO IT LIKE THAT. Motor City
songstress Donna Black had unconsciously seemed to add Ma to the start of her
name and her recorded in the dark vocals helped conjure up an almost Madonna
and a drum machine meets Techno hybrid. This it was agreed could be a huge
breakthrough single which - preceded by strategically released set up tracks
- would build up Nexus 21’s surely inevitable rise to glory. And the release
of the MIND MACHINES album. But it never happened. Instead one day Mark and
Chris burst into Network’s Birmingham office excitedly brandishing no less
than 8 new recordings infused with a propulsive Rave energy flash compared to
their more cerebral Nexus 21 work. The label agreed that the new tracks
should be released under a new artist name and an initial suggestion. Alien 8
replaced by Altern 8. What was planned as temporary dalliance became a long
term relationship. You all know the score - Altern 8 became surf riders
supreme on the rave tsunami, not just music makers but myth creators. The
plan has been to run Nexus 21 and Altern 8 parallel, a kind of schizophrenic
experiment by two men, a drum machine and a mad for it record company.
History shows that Altern 8 became too DOMIN 8 and the lovingly recorded
Nexus 21 album was left on the proverbial shelf (actually a box in
Birmingham) So now MIND MACHINES finally meets the World. First thing that
screams out that it hasn’t half aged well. Obviously it is a wet dream for
the anoraks of electronica, that goes without saying. But above and beyond
the history lesson of how 2 young UK techno mad kids got the dots from
Detroit and deconstructed them to create something very British the music
they created, sometimes naive but frequently knowledgeable, sounds .. well
just great. The four Detroit recordings - NEXODUS, TOGETHER, DON’T DO IT LIKE
THAT, DO IT LIKE THIS and EVERYTHING (NO STATUES) - variously feature
contributions from Motor City luminaries Marc Kinchen and Anthony Shakir.
Only two of the twelve recordings were properly released in 1990/1991 with
two more making it on a withdrawn white label 12 inch at the time. Three of
the tracks, including a live recording at London’s Brain Club that has been
retrieved from a DAT that was thought to have disappeared, are previously
unreleased. And as well as two previously unreleased much altered versions of
Nexus 21 gems there is the legendary much tougher mix of the duo’s signature

first release for Matt Edwards’ Rekids imprint, the four-track ‘We Were
All Kids Once’ EP, is a continuation of the experienced producer’s output on
his own Let Me Understand Records, which has seen a staggering amount of
support from DJs since it’s launch in 2018. Traversing rugged, tracky,
Relief-influenced House/Techno (‘One Day’), drummy grooves (‘Don’t
Touch’ and ‘Rollercoaster’) and cosseting beat-down Deep House (‘Someone’),
‘We Were All Kids Once’ is one of those genuinely essential EPs that provides
exceptionally consistent dancefloor ammunition across it’s breadth.
With the likes of Ryan Elliott, Honey Dijon, Ame, Raresh, Luke Slater, Enzo
Siragusa, Ben Sims and more supporting his output over the past few years,
Santos is in the form of his career. While releases like the breakthrough
‘Camels’ and the anthem ‘Hold Home’ mark Santos as a producer of note at the
turn of the century, his four solo albums and, most recently, his Let Me
Understand Records EPs have proved he’s an artist that is constantly pushing

Brussels
based pianist Giovanni Di Domenicowas born in Rome in 1977. Majoring in 'jazz
piano' at music school - he further built on an encyclopaedic technique;
rhythm, harmony and tone are informed by non-western traditions yet equally
sensitive to Debussy's "Préludes", Luciano Berio's
"Sequenzas", to the 'ambi-ideation' heard in Borah Bergman's Soul
Note recordings, Cecil Taylor's polissemic density, Paul Bley's bruised
transparency and of course, the most radical manifestations stemming from the
underworld of pop music, invariably tied together by his own original praxis.
A distinction - one would call it generational - he shares with many of the
musicians he has crossed paths with recently, of which we could enumerate
Nate Wooley, Chris Corsano, ArveHenriksen, Jim O'Rourke, Alexandra Grimal,
Tetuzi Akiyama, João Lobo or Toshimaru Nakamura. At the request of W.E.R.F.
Records, Giovanni created an entirely new repertoire, teaming up with
saxophonist Alexandra Grimal and drummer Eric Thielemans. This collaboration
resulted in Echolalia, a suite consisting of three parts: Aoede, Melete, and

drawn over and smudged so much that eventually it’s not even a line anymore.
it’s 4 lines, or a rectangle and it’s starting to feel like it’s a space with
some dimension to it. once there’s dimension, there’s a room and the room
holds whatever is inside of it like a container. the container gets loaded
with information and we listen for what kind of sound it makes |

us, in his own imprint, and everytime he is around we feel deeply
appreciated. It means that, although there's a guide line that immediately
identifies his work as his, he also opens a little bit more to us. Every EP
is like a step further into his own mind, a breach to the deepness of his
intrusive thoughts and ideas. All the words would be useless if we tried to
describe this one. The tracks are self explainable and were meticulously
created as that is part of his trademark. And regarding the first question we
can only answer yes, it is really into the unknown. Or at least into
something of his we have never experienced before. And perhaps after
listening to it we'll be able to know him and understand his work a little

& SERA J return for the second edition of their Symbiosis series on
Mutual Rytm. ANNE, known for potent techno on the likes of Soma and
Hardgroove, and Nechto and Life In Patterns associate Sera J, have had
standout years that have seen them put out a stream of essential club tracks.
They are partners in both life and music, and the first volume of 'Symbiosis'
on SHDW's Mutual Rytm imprint was their first release together. Delivering an
honest representation of their innermost feelings, having also contributed to
the label's 'Federation Of Rytm III' VA in February, this new six-track EP
(plus bonus cuts) presents a 'mature and refined connection between their
souls'. The second instalment of 'Symbiosis' reflects not only their deep
personal connection, but also their collaborative synergy as musical peers
with the same goals. The EP captures the essence of their mutual artistic
journey and showcases the strength of their bond both in life and through
their shared creative vision - to create a storyline through sounds coming
from their souls and convey a narrative that many listeners may find
relatable. SERA J kicks off with the lithe and melodically elegant techno of
'Your Soul Is Art' which will have both heart and heels dancing. 'Illusions'
is a more heavy and dubby cut with paired back grooves and pulsing synths,
while 'Glacial Pace' is an urgent deep techno roller with turbocharged stabs
and huge icy hi hats locking you into a trance. ANNE steps up on the B-side
with 'Floating Waves' exploring physical, chunky drum funk and raw synth
textures. 'Planetary Dust' is a dark and moody astral techno journey to the
stars, before 'Sweet Seventeen' brings a more melodic cut with a sense of
hope and joy in the bright pads that shimmer above the glitchy grooves. Both
artists also offer two digital bonus cuts with SERA J's 'Syncrosonix' and
'Space Velocity' delivering perfectly reduced minimal techno monsters, while
ANNE's 'Gentle Loop' and 'Starburst' are interplanetary trips with widescreen

up on Intrepid Skin, MarcelDune readies four heaters direct from the
scuzziest corners of the rave, out on Friday 13 December on digital / vinyl.
Based in London but hailing from Athens, they draw upon a lifelong
relationship with music spanning jazz studies, opera singing, and the punk
DIY scenes of their hometown. In connecting the dots between these disparate
aspects, they've committed to engaging with music that honours resistance and
authenticity, and draws inspiration from those seeking liberation from
oppression and societal frameworks. With this new release MarcelDune hones in
on the ethos that underpins their aesthetic, with touches of euphoria, huge
drums, and quintessentially fun. Title track 'Buy Success' brandishes raw
serrated edges and an industrial core whilst never losing the groove. 'Remedy
for evil' moves into bouncier feels with the hardest groove. On 'Tell Me Who

“After
a stay in Detroit in 2022 (where I met some of the artists whose music I
admire the most), I returned to Montreuil, illuminated and brimming with
energy. I had my MPC2000XL repaired, found a second-hand Yamaha Motif ES6 at
Zikplace in Croix de Chavaux, and a Korg Triton on Le Bon Coin. The three
instruments connected together rekindled my practice of electronic music in
my home studio. Passionate about the new setup, I tried to record a little
each day. After two years of work, I felt the desire to bring together the
eight tracks that brought me the most joy during their recording. A certain
nostalgia and/or melancholy can arise from the sounds of the instruments
used, each dating from the late 1990s. They plunged me back into the house
and R&B clips that played on MTV when I was a pre-teen, which I adored.
The recording is raw and conveys a message of peace, humility, and unity. It
pays homage to the early hours of house music. The title of the project,
“please don’t wait,” is simple and refers to the passage of time, urgency,
and the present moment. It’s a message that invites movement and action.”

Sasha
continues his current hot streak with a new single on Last Night On Earth
alongside Jody Barr, with a killer Einmuisk Remix on the flip. Pioneering
electronic force Sasha has found plenty of success in recent creative
partnerships. The Last Night On Earth founder has worked with the likes of
Super Flu and Sentre and dropped a steady stream of fresh solo sounds such as
'Florian Drift' and 'How to Wear Raybans Well'. All this means he continues
to lead the melodic house and techno scene from the front with expertly
crafted sounds. Here, he works with Jody Barr who has long been close to this
label having also established himself with music on Krankbrother,
Configurations Of Self and Nofitstate. He heads up Portable Minds and is
renowned for his rugged, hardware-centric sound. 'Phaxon' is a beautifully
elegant affair with shimmering chords rising and falling over a serene
electronic groove. It's packed with smart sound design and subtle touches
that make it glow from start to finish as the emotions build and sweep you up
into a delightful dance floor reverie. Hamburg's Einmusik has a cultured
techno sound that has lit up his own self-titled label as well as the likes
of Diynamic and Sincopat. His version is more rugged with a darker feel
thanks to the rasping bassline that rumbles below. There is still plenty of
great chord work but the whole track is a little more direct for poignant
club deployment |

Troxler’s Slacker 85 imprint prepares to expand its repertoire of ne’er do
wells and inspired outsiders, with two new singles shining a flashlight on
talent at the characteristically esoteric producers on the fringes of
Troxler’s always increasing circles. American-Ecuadorian sound engineer and
musician Andre Salmon has already left his fingerprints on underground dance
music’s global scene, developing the current iteration of Inner City with
Kevin Saunderson, as well as collaborating with house icons Paul Johnson and
K’Alexi Shelby. Having already made a fixture of his supremely effective ‘Heartless’ mashup of Saint Etienne’s
classic ‘Only Love Can Break Your Heart’, Slacker now welcomes Salmon to the
family to exercise his studio technique and ‘sacred resonance’ deepness. The
result is ‘La Mano de Dios’, a voluminous dance on the edge of house and
techno, as smooth and impressive as the jets descending above the Terrace at
DC10. From Detroit to the East Coast, TB-203 delivers a contrasting energy on
‘Movin’. A fresh alias of NYC DJ, producer & label owner Tommy Bones,
this bubbling, raw acid workout finds fresh heat at the intersection of
jackin’ hip house and latin freestyle, driven by loose and lively vocals from
DannyP. Underscoring Slacker 85’s commitment to party over posture, ‘Movin’
has been tried and tested to deliver on its old-school promise |

venerable veteran’s veterans Extrawelt are bringing the full bore of their
two decades’ experience to bear on this slice of genre-defiling excellence.
The German due open with the thorax-pummeling EBM of the title track,
followed up by the angry electro of “Angry Elektro.” And if you think the EP
lets up from there, keep listening to find out just how wrong what you think
is, because the next track is called “Angry Halibut” and sounds exactly what
you’re terrified that sounds like. Grindmaster culminates with the
goalie-on-acid-fantasy acid banger “Save City” and bottomless warehouse
trip-soundtrack “Flunk.” Those of you who choose not to support your local

problem with vinyl lovers but they should probably come to terms with the
