"Blow My Mind!" is the
natural sequel to the recent, well-received collection "Lost
Innocence" and is an essential purchase for the dedicated garage head.
It collects together the best of the quirkier imprints from Hollywood's
heyday in the mid-1960s (the record labels Doré, Era and Mira) in a
power-packed set comprising many outstanding garage and proto-psych 45s that
today are sought-after collectors' items. Compiled by genre expert Alec Palao
and originally released by Big Beat/ACE on CD only a few years back, it is
now available on vinyl for the first time |

This is one of the most obscure
records ever released in Venezuela in the 60s and the only recording of The
Pets. This 1967 album shows perfectly what the influences of the Venezuelan
nueva ola (new wave) scene were at the time, including versions of The Doors,
Beatles, Rolling Stones, Paul Revere & The Riders. as well as the
outstanding original "El Entierro De Un Hombre Rico Que Murio De
Hambre", one of the finest garage tunes to emerge from Latinamerica.

Dive into the revolutionary Latin
rock vibes of Traffic Sound with their 1970 masterpiece, "Virgin".
Originating in Lima, Peru, this iconic album marked a turning point for the
band, fusing psychedelia, hard rock, and a touch of progressive rock with a
distinct Latin flavor. The self-written tracks, notably the anthem
'Meshkalina' with nods to local culture, showcased the band's unique blend of
influences. Our new reissue includes extensive liner notes and the original
artwork on tip-on gatefold sleeve |

Best known for his work as a
producer on the L.A. punk scene, Geza X also cut one bizarre solo album that
remains a cult item for scene aficionados. Born to Hungarian parents, Geza
(his real first name) adopted the «X» moniker in tribute to Malcolm X, and
got his first recording studio job in the mid-'70s. He soon moved on to
become the soundman at the legendary L.A. punk club the Masque, and spread
the word that he was interested in producing. The Germs' Darby Crash tapped
him to produce the band's landmark debut single «Lexicon Devil,» and from
there X went on to helm seminal Cali-punk moments like the Dead Kennedys'
«Holiday in Cambodia» and Black Flag's «Six Pack.» He also worked with
Weirdos, the Avengers, and new waver Josie Cotton («Johnny Are You Queer?»),
among others, and played as an instrumentalist in both the The Bags (a
female-fronted group who wore bags over their heads) and The Deadbeats |

this mega-rare Bobby Marin produced Latin funk gem. 'Together People (Pamoja

Dibango's 'Soul Makossa', while 'It's Your Thing' is a heavy Latin funk instrumental
version of the Isley Brothers classic, featuring screaming Hammond organ.
Both are DJ favorites and the original 45 fetches large sums, if you can find

A brilliant live record aside,
nothing's been heard of from Japandroids in seven years since their 2017
album Near To The Wild Heart Of Life. Guitarist/singer Brian King and
drummer/singer David Prowse bring that seven-year wait to an end with their
fourth (and apparently final) studio album Fate And Alcohol. Spearheaded by
the single 'Chicago', it's another magnificent display of boxy, yell-along
garage punk glory |

These recordings give us a
glimpse into the often chaotic circumstances that would surround a Beatles
concert at this early stage in their touring career. At the first Dutch show
in Blokker, the radio broadcaster elected to place their microphones out front
of stage and the over-enthusiastic crowd singing along almost drowns out the
Beatles vocals. When they arrived to perform for their TV appearance at
Treslong, the group were informed that they would be required to sing live
vocals over a playback tape, the only time the group played like this. This
LP gives us the opportunity to compare Ringo's drumming style to that of his
temporary replacement, Jimmy Nicol. The only other extant concert recording
with Nicol on drums is the Adelaide Centennial Hall show six days later, when
there was no microphone on the kit. We have done the best we possibly could
with these admittedly lo-fi yet important historical recordings that were
recorded direct off air in the 1960s |

Formed by singer John Denney and
his guitarist brother Dix (sons of actress Nora Denney), with bassist Cliff
Roman and drummer Beat Alexander, pioneering Los Angeles art-rock band the
Weirdos pre-dated the punk scene, taking their cues from the Ramones, Iggy
Pop, and the New York Dolls. Debut EP 'Destroy All Music' began their
fruitful relationship with BOMP! Records and to celebrate BOMP!'s 50th
anniversary, this edition of ace compilation Destroy All Music joins the
original EP with earlier demos and the Who? What? Where? When? Why? LP. This
is the cream of the band's crop in one beautiful package - absolutely

Records celebrates a decade of modern sonic exploration. Since its inception
at the end of 2014, and initially taking inspiration from 40's & 50's
science fiction culture, the label has been offering to listeners a vast
array of genres, being experimental, creative and forward-thinking dance
music its main mission. For its 10th anniversary, the cutting-edge electronic
music label very proudly announces five distinctive releases, each one across
their respective sub-labels. And he did it again! The talented Calum Lee AKA
Paleman / Fresnel Lens, one of our favorite producers by far, is back after
his acclaimed Exalted EP (2023). Although stylistically speaking 'a bit
different' to the previous release (in his own words), our innovative sound
designer delivers a sick collection of dark, abstract and experimental
broken-beat tracks as only few artists can afford, where impossible
percussive rhythms and tons of raw energy go hand in hand, challenging
listener's perception and placing him at the forefront of electronic music.

September 25, 1998, was like the

in Moscow. The many-hour concert was held to the joy and delight of several

The time was right when Joe
Strummer and Joe Simonon of The Clash decided to take the so-called long and
winding road. This famous show at the Station Pub in Gateshead was more than
an intimate affair. And it was part of the acoustic busking tour the band
took after the release of their latest studio album, Cut The Crap. This set
is dated May 11, 1985, and it's a brilliant example of the rootsy folk
heritage the two were delivering at the time. This particular recording was
produced while the band was performing outside The Station in Gateshead,
Newcastle in front of what sounds like a lucky 50 or so people! You hear a
single acoustic guitar with some clavinets or wood blocks clapping out the
beat...and then the reaction from the crowd in -between. The sound is crisp
and clear even if the band was playing 'off-mike'. A rarity in its own |

As outlined in the description of
Volume I State Of Fear had set out on a hardcore path widely copied but never
matched throughout 1994-1996. It's in this period that they attempt their
first full length LP which although marred by recording issues and personnel
changes, would go on to be regarded by most as an contender for one of the
best LPs of the 1990s in the hardcore punk genre. Volume 2 is this
stand/alone LP by the band and features the original artwork of Marald who
has also gone on to a famed career in the fine art world, this includes a
large 4 page booklet with all lyrics included, and an A2 poster. Both Vol. 1
and 2 have been remastered by Jack Control for the highest sound quality
possible. These are definitive documents of one of the best hardcore bands to

Borusiade
lands on Dark Entries with their triumphant third LP, THE FALL: A Series of
Documented Experiences. The Romanian producer and DJ Miruna Boruzescu aka
Borusiade has a track record of genre-bending releases on tastemaking outlets
like Cómeme, Pinkman, Cititrax, and of course Dark Entries, who unleashed
their stunning 2020 sophomore album Fortunate Isolation. THE FALL builds on
Borusiade’s mythos with its 9 brooding and sophisticated tracks investigating
the contours of memory and embodiment - the “fragile bridge between body and
mind” in Borusiade’s words. Moody basslines and melancholy synths wrestle
with muscular rhythms; this is electronic body music for the heart and head.
This is their most diaristic work to date, as well, chronicling love and loss
through the gauze of reflection. Tracks like “Save Me”, “Recovery and
Redemption”, and “The Fall” sprung from painful breakups, periods which
Borusiade identifies as some of their most creatively fruitful, finding
themselves “making the best music when I was brokenhearted.” There are odes
to musical titans we’ve lost: the minimal electro producer Porn Darsteller is
comemorated on “Darsteller”, while industrial legends Genesis P-Orrige and
Lady Jaye are honored on “Pandrogyne.” THE FALL comes housed in a sleeve
using Gautier D'Agoty’s “Essai d'Anatomie,” an anatomical work from 1745, and
also includes a lyric sheet. Trauma, from lost love to pandemic
isolation, informs THE FALL, situating
itself as a gap that can only be accessed through sound and the creation of
art. “What can I add? When life gives you drama, make music.” |

The only E.P. (and more studio
recordings!) by one of the first 77 punk bands from Liverpool. Released in
1979 and long out of print, The Accelerators S*T E.P. was the only vinyl
output released by this pioneering Liverpool Punk band. A soulful, prime example
of first wave Punk that sounds as fresh and powerful today as the day it was
recorded and is presented here in its totality with a B side consisting of
juicy demos and alternative mixes. A mandatory gem for fans of classic Punk,
Pub Rock and Hi Energy Rock'n' Roll in general! |

TCNE are celebrating 20 years on
the road and there is nothing better than doing it with a new album. They
have been previewing songs from this album in the form of digital singles
such as 'You Go Boom!', 'Hot Damn', 'Surprise (and everybody dies)' or 'Dead
Shot'. They score a tremendous version of the Zodiac Mindwarp's 'Prime
Move'r. If you usually listen to Rock, Hard-Rock bands... Alice Cooper,
Saxon, Turbonegro or Gluecifer, then TCNE will kick your ass |

A gifted guitarist and
singer-songwriter, Lascelles Beckford has a long history in reggae. After
playing with Harold Butler in the late 1970s, Beckford began fronting Crucial
Vibes, based in Old Harbour, west of Spanish Town, the band making waves in
Canada in 1983. One of the leading Jamaican backing bands of the mid-1980s,
debut album 'Control Yourself' is an excellent blend of hard-hitting roots
tunes, protest music and sophisticated love songs, all driven by their
excellent musicianship, with the percussionist Skully and saxophonist Dean
Fraser adding exquisite touches. Quality from start to finish - one for all
roots connoisseurs |

Dancehall' is the exploration of the Greensleeves / VP Records catalogue by
DJ Spooky aka Paul Miller. The musical tapestry is built on samples from
familiar (and not so familiar) reggae tracks over electronic beats and
melodies produced by Miller and protégé Stephen Levitin (stage name Apple
Juice Kid). Selected tracks include the keyboard work of Alex Thompson aka
Fourth Shift. Guest vocals from Walshy Fire (Major Lazer) and dancehall
newcomer Sanjay added to vocal samples of Busy Signal, Lady Saw and Garnett
Silk give the project an eclectic, modern dancehall flavor! |

A
perfect gift for yourself or your loved ones, this festive compilation is
packed with timeless Christmas tracks, kicking off with the ever-popular
"Last Christmas" by Wham! followed by the holiday staple "Step
Into Christmas" by Elton John. Cher’s recent smash "DJ Play A
Christmas Song" is up next, followed by classic ‘70s hits from Wizzard
with "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday", Slade’s #1
"Merry Xmas Everybody", and Greg Lake’s epic "I Believe In
Father Christmas". "Jingle Bell Rock" by Bobby Helms and
Brenda Lee’s "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" wrap up the side
with a festive flourish, whilst over on Side B the celebrations continue with
Boney M.’s "Mary's Boy Child / Oh My Lord" and Shakin' Stevens'
"Merry Christmas Everyone" ahead of ‘60s classics from Darlene Love
with "White Christmas" and The Crystals’ "Rudolph The
Red-Nosed Reindeer". Contemporary favourites feature next from Kelly
Clarkson ("Underneath The Tree"), Leona Lewis ("One More
Sleep") and Mariah Carey’s fabulous version of "Christmas (Baby
Please Come Home)", before closing with the modern classic ‘Christmas
Wrapping’ from The Waitresses. LP2 includes the collaborations between Bing
Crosby and David Bowie on "Peace On Earth / Little Drummer Boy”, and
between Ed Sheeran and Elton John on chart-topper "Merry
Christmas". Bruce Springsteen’s superb version of "Santa Claus Is
Comin' To Town" is followed by all-time Classics from Andy Williams
("It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"), Perry Como & The
Fontane Sisters with Mitchell Ayres ("It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like
Christmas"), and Elvis Presley ("Blue Christmas"), while Mud’s
#1 "Lonely This Christmas" remains a festive favourite 50 years
after it topped the charts and flip the record over for the record-breaking
anthem "Do They Know It’s Christmas?" from Band Aid, Paul
McCartney’s "Wonderful Christmastime" and Cliff Richard’s massive
80s chart-topper "Mistletoe And Wine". Whitney Houston’s powerful
vocals on "Do You Hear What I Hear?" feature along with Eartha
Kitt’s iconic "Santa Baby" whilst the rest of the LP features gems
from The Beach Boys ("Little Saint Nick"), The Wombles
("Wombling Merry Christmas"), and Mike Oldfield’s "In Dulce
Jubilo" before Jona Lewie’s "Stop The Cavalry" closes this
disc. The final LP begins with The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl’s enduring
classic "Fairytale Of New York", followed by the Pretenders'
poignant "2000 Miles" and Chris Rea’s "Driving Home For
Christmas". Coldplay’s "Christmas Lights" adds a modern twist,
alongside the Pet Shop Boys on “It Doesn’t Often Snow At Christmas”.
Sing-along classics complete the side from Jackson 5 with "Santa Claus
Is Coming To Town", The Ronettes' "Sleigh Ride" and Darlene
Love’s irresistible "Marshmallow World". The final side opens with
three tracks that were hits at Christmas-time and are always associated with
the time of year: #1’s from Frankie Goes To Hollywood with "The Power Of
Love" and East 17 with "Stay Another Day" are joined by
“Keeping The Dream Alive” from Münchener Freiheit. A run of timeless and
unforgettable Christmas classics completes the tracklist from Ray Conniff,
Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole with “The Christmas Song (Merry
Christmas To You)” concluding with the perennial favourite “White Christmas”
from Bing Crosby. Whether you're decorating the tree, hosting a party, or
enjoying some rest, NOW That’s What I Call Christmas on vinyl brings together
an essential selection of festive favourites to help make your seasonal
celebrations magical |

Social
media blew up recently with footage showing Emma Noble debuting ‘JazzCazz’
with her 10 piece band at London’s ‘OMeara’, causing Ramrock’s switchboard to
go into meltdown. But here is where the story begins….‘Jazzcazz’ is the
musical lovechild of Jazz Funk, House and Rave DJ/promoter, Dan ‘The Drum’
Spalding, dance music DJ/producer Ronnie Turner and DJ/chanteuse, Emma Noble.
The inspiration for this 100bpm Jazzer was triggered by Dan and Emma’s love
for Coffee’s 1980 iconic disco cover of the original 1967 version of
‘Casanova’, sung by Ruby Andrews and penned by the mighty Jo Armstead, The
ensuing trip down to Ronnie Turner’s studio brought the demo to life thanks
to Ronnie’s masterful production and Dan’s deft arrangement. Their genius
decision to add Emma Noble’s exquisite vocal delivery was the absolute icing
on the musical cake and with all the essential ingredients in place,
‘JazzCazz’ was born. The result is a track that could easily have been
released on Blue Note in the 60’s and discovered by crate diggers in 2024.
The trio’s cool, jazzy retro spin on Ruby and Coffee’s versions exudes
timeless dance floor love - it's definitely ‘not all over, Casanova’. From
East End barrow boy to club nights on the Costas, Dan “The Drum” Spalding has
deejayed alongside the likes of Norman Jay MBE, Dave Lee, Craig Charles,
Brandon Block, Ashley Beedle and Huey Morgan to name but a few. Having spent
his early years quite literally banging the drum for his beloved Spurs, the
name stuck and so did his love for all things with a beat. Immersing himself
since the age of 14 in Funk & Soul, Reggae, Ska, House, Rare Groove and
Hip Hop, Dan went on to co-found ‘The Lockdown Legacy’ DJ events raising
thousands for local and national charities, DJ’d at FAITH as well as
broadcasting on East London’s Totally Wired Radio, owned by Acid Jazz record
label boss, Eddie Piller. In 2023, Dan delved into the production side of
music fuelled by his thirst for learning and love of music – ‘JazzCazz’ is
the first of many more productions to come. Ronnie Turner needs no
introduction to dance music connoisseurs with a career that started in the
early ’80s and continues unabated. He has DJ’d alongside the likes of Sean
French, Robbie Vincent, Jeff Young, Greg Edwards, Carl Cox, Danny Tenaglia
and Tony Humphries to name but a few. Ronnie’s remix credits include Odyssey,
Tortured Soul, Noel Mckoy, Bodyrox, Tom Jones, Richard Seaborne and The JBs
with releases on Masterworks Music, Atjazz Records and Yam Who's Midnight Riot.
He turned festival promotor in 2020 with Faith’s Stuart Patterson and there
is a Goa Festival 2024 waiting to happen! Debuting as a solo artist in 2020,
Emma Noble’s sound is rooted in her deep love for rare soul, funk disco and
Gospel. Her releases have been embraced by the most respected tastemakers on
the scene, receiving radio support from Lauren Lavern, Don Letts, Deb Grant,
Tony Blackburn, Gary Crowley, Norman Jay MBE and Eddie Piller, with Craig
Charles describing her arrival on the scene as ‘one of the highlights of
2020’. Emma’s 2022 collaboration with Matt Berry resulted in the Psych-Soul
cover of Doris’s ’67 release, ‘Beatmaker’, featured on the BAFTA Award
winning ‘Toast of Tinseltown’. Emma is also one half of ‘Noble & Heath’,
the double decking, dynamic, vinyl only DJ duo, DJ'ing all over the UK &
Europe in places such as The Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scotts, XOYO,
KOKO, Jazz Cafe, 100 Club and
festivals including Glastonbury. Her full band line up shows always sell out
along with her self-promoted event 'Soul at The Hall' at the Royal Albert
Hall’s Elgar Room |

This
invigorated quartet from Naarm/Melbourne began writing the group’s third
album ‘Look Familiar’ last year, working up demos in rehearsals, animated by
having live drums present in their chameleonic sound. The Green Child still
draws heavily on a refined psychedelic pop, with Raven’s scenically measured
vocal often shadowing the ebb and flow, but the energy of having four people
in the room resulted in making the songs more upbeat. Mikey expands on the
new situation for the group, “for this record, half the musical ideas stemmed
from Raven, half from myself. I felt like we discussed things more and
fleshed out ideas together and brought in Alex and Shaun for their input all
the time. I see it as a step forward in many ways but at times, it felt like
an entirely new thing. It’s inspiring to make music with others, to find a
new combination of ingredients to make music feel fresh.” This attitude
certainly bears fruit across this extraordinary album, which sounds alive
with ideas and unexpected dimensions. The songs gathered on ‘Look Familiar’
were largely informed by “reality-shifting world events” Raven admits, “the
subject matter just makes its way in when it's what I'm thinking about most
the time” she continues. “There are a couple of homages to family members
too. ‘The Lawn’ is about my grandmother and the area where she lived in the
desert that was a short-lived socialist commune.” ‘The Lawn’ is a propulsive
thrum of lustrous electronic escapism offset with lyrics about a factory job
binding cables together for NASA. Raven continues, “these songs are more like
a string of vignettes describing scenery and memories. I tried to include
anecdotes I had heard about family members that I had never met as a way of
memorialising them. Like that my great grandmother was a bashful quilter who
would cover her mouth when she giggled.” This familial/familiar thread
extends to the album artwork too, painted by Raven’s mother in the early 90’s
and featuring the image of her father at the wheel of a car. There are many
standout moments across the album’s ten tracks. ‘Wow Factor’ is a reverie of
chiming guitar lines, dizzy, scurried melodies and floating centres. Raven
elucidates “it is about a few things, for one, the double standards of the
international justice system, and also about caring for and protecting those
that are close to you.” These sentiments are echoed in the track’s uneasy,
inescapable feel. ‘Arrows and Microtones’ and ‘Look Familiar’ showcase The
Green Child in a more reflective, expansive mode. Taking time to let the
grandeur unfold into compelling new directions. ‘Private Laugh’ comes alive
with its crushed fuzz-guitar accompaniment and swirling synth eddies, the
perfectly poised guitar histrionics on ‘Feet Are Rebels’ are another highlight.
‘A Long Beautiful Flowing Cape’ unfurls with an infectious shuffling beat
backed-up with a spry bassline. Shimmers of synth and twirling guitar tone
provide a redolent vista for Raven’s vocal about “internet interactions,
posturing and distorted social contracts” to flit through. ‘Year Of Books’ is
more strident and driving with a sturdy motorik pulse, arpeggiated flourishes
and distorted shreds. This album sounds like constant renewal, never seeking
comfort, its the sound of four musicians pushing each other to new heights.
The Green Child have made a profusely evocative album with ‘Look Familiar’,
one that shines like a beacon and draws us all close |

Invisible
City returns with the hotly anticipated reissue of Amajovi Jovi by Durban's
O.G. kwaito giant, Sandy B. Originally self-released on cassette and a white
label 12', rumour has it Sandy had to remake the tracks from memory because
even he couldn't find a copy. In its original post-apartheid context, Amajovi
Jovi was a sign of youthful subversiveness, rebellious creativity and a neck
snapping rejection to the fascist groove of a silenced nation. While the
Pantsulla hustler nods to house legends like Jamie Principle and Pal Joey,
its hip hop breaks and interludes show a clear affection for Snoop Dogg's
Doggystyle. At its slowed down tempo however, this low-fi kwaito masterpiece
turns away from its American influence and looks towards Baldelli and his
cosmos. Best of all are Sandy's vocals— deep, melodic Zulu rap, sung
flippantly—the way that only a true gangster could. It now stands as one of
the finest glimpses of 90s party music to ever be blasted at the underground
parties of the South African townships. A huge fave of Jamie Tiller, Tako and
ICE, we are proud to present a limited vinyl and cassette reissue from one of
the godfathers of kwaito. Remastered and restored from the original cassette
tape. Designed by Zeitype |

An ethereal world cast into a
dark night, with fireflies of sound adding nuance and light to the
darkness... Textures and atmospheres that are even deeper and more
hypnotic... Azu Tiwaline has chosen 4 producers to delve into the tracks on
her album The Fifth Dream, released by I.O.T Records just over a year ago,
for a unique and masterful reinterpretation of the opus. Forest Drive West,
Cinna Peyghamy, Kangding Ray and Polygonia each present their vision of one
of the tracks on the album, with all the strong sonic identity that
characterizes them |
