Ching makes a bold return from within the vibrant, Brussels music scene with
their sophomore album, Mercurial. In this latest offering, the band edges
even closer to the ever-evolving world of electronics and dance music while

Ambroos De Schepper's saxophone transcends its traditional role even more,
becoming a dynamic, shapeshifting entity capable of evoking haunting melodies
one moment and otherworldly harmonies the next. Federico Pecoraro's bass
transforms into ethereal ambient pads that drift through the mix like vapor,
adding depth. Meanwhile, Olivier Penu's drums form the rhythmic backbone,
laying down eclectic grooves that defy the constraints of any single genre,
merging seamlessly from trap to electronica, hip-hop, and beyond. Known for
their ability to blend disparate genres and experiment with textures, Bandler
Ching forges a new instrumental language, one that feels untethered to
convention and free from classification. It's not a genre-crossing
experiment-but a daring move towards a new instrumental genre in the digital
age. Fans of experimental electronic icons like Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, and
Ceephax Acid Crew will find much to admire in the upcoming Mercurial album-
it's a next step in pushing to a new musical territory and boldly casting off
the jazz genre in the process. It's been two years since Bandler Ching first

In 1972, Joyce and Nelson
recorded the LP Nelson Angelo e Joyce, her only professional recording
between 1971 and 1975. Sophisticated in its simplistic sound, the album
explores Joyce's tender voice and Angelo's melancholic mantra-shaped
melodies. The duo fuse bossa nova and acoustic psychedelic rock in
arrangements that incorporate nature sounds and ritual drumming. The opening
track stands out with its angular chord changes and pretty melody, a perfect
start. They trade tunes, Joyce sings Hotel Universo and Nelson sings the next
track and then back to Joyce. A cohesive work from both musicians |

Political Asylum were one of the
most melodic Anarcho Punk bands, alongside with Zounds and Toxic Ephex.
Formed in 1982 in Stirling, Scotland, they released a series of tapes, before
having their first 7" released on C.O.R. records in 1985. This is their
very first demo tape, remastered and released for the first time on vinyl. 14
songs of their finest: tuneful punk rock with idealist lyrics, fantastic

It is impossible to overstate the
significance of The Crowd to the nascent L.A. hardcore scene. Whilst bands
like early Agent Orange and Social Distortion were playing to handfuls of
fans in northern Orange County, in 1979 the Crowd were already filling backyards
on their home turf in Huntington Beach, California. Ironically, it was
further afield in the San Gabriel Valley that I first saw them perform,
opening for the still punk Go/Gos in a small club. Without the continuing
success of The Crowd in 1979 and throughout the summer of 1980, I would have
packed my bags for London. Instead, the L.A. hardcore scene lifted off! |

Following the steps of London
bands NO and PERMISSION from which the band shares half its members with
additions from local bands SUBDUED and LAST AFFRONT. Pulling similar musical
threads as their previous groups, their distinctive dissonant brand of hardcore
is dense and claustrophobic, like there are too many notes crammed into too
small a space, riffs poking out at odd, uncomfortable angles like the corners
of a hand-me-down bureau in a cramped London bedsit. SECOND DEATH's manic
rhythms are littered with unexpected accents that disrupt any slide into
safety, comfort, or convention, and while moments in "Sycophant" or
"Caving" threaten to break into a mosh, there's invariably an oddly
timed accent that derails the choreography like a feral tweaker wandering
into the pit |

Music is very proud to announce NOW Presents…12" 80s: Part One -
1980-1982, as a stunning 5-LP box-set. A limited edition and numbered set
with each of the 5-LPs pressed in a different transparent colour vinyl - red,
yellow, green, blue and purple, to be released on December 6th 2024. In 2023
we began our 80s 12” series on cd – a year by year journey through the decade
with each release presenting a fantastic selection of 12” Versions from that
year…and we are now very excited to present 44 12”, Extended, or Remixed
versions from the years 1980-1982 as our first round-up on vinyl – and for
many tracks this marks the first time back on vinyl since their original
release! Kicking off with Blondie’s huge full-length version of ‘Call Me’ and
the long version of Grace Jones’ take on ‘Love Is The Drug’, LP1 stays in
1980 with influential classics from Loleatta Holloway and Change, plus
electronic disco from Lipps Inc. and floor-fillers from Liquid Gold and The
Spinners… ‘Fade To Grey’ from Visage was released at the end of 1980 and the
12” Version opens LP2 ahead of the timeless Chic-produced and written
‘Spacer’ from Sheila & B. Devotion. 1981 dancefloor favourites are
featured from Earth, Wind & Fire and Odyssey, ahead of extended 12” versions
of pop gems from Dollar, Haircut 100 and ‘Physical’ from Olivia Newton-John.
1981 was a stellar year for UK artists on the charts, and included here,
Duran Duran with the ‘Night Version’ of ‘Planet Earth’, the 12” Versions of
The Human League’s ‘The Sound Of The Crowd’, and ‘Glow’ from Spandau Ballet,
plus the Extended Version of the era-defining #1 ‘Ghost Town’ by The
Specials. LP3 continues the celebration with synth-pop essentials, extended
versions from Talk Talk, Heaven 17, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, Soft
Cell, Japan, Gary Numan and Simple Minds. Next out of the box – LP4, and it
opens with Hi-NRG classics from the Boys Town Gang, Patrick Cowley feat.
Sylvester, and Donna Summer – all in their extended glory alongside
dance-floor gold from Carly Simon, Rockers Revenge feat. Donnie Calvin, Kool
& The Gang and Shalamar with the 12” mix of the peerless ‘A Night To
Remember’. The Final LP collects 10 of 1982’s premier pop moments in their
12” versions:- ABC lead with ‘The Look Of Love, Pt.1’ (Special Remix),
followed by smashes from Bananarama, Bow Wow Wow, Altered Images and Bucks
Fizz..and flip the LP over for Tears For Fears with the long version of ‘Pale
Shelter’, Blancmange with ‘Living On The Ceiling’, The Associates, a second
track and harder-to-find dance mix from Visage, and signing off with ‘Reap
The Wild Wind’ in its’ extended version from Ultravox. For collectors, djs,

Grammy
awarding winning producer & 5 time Grammy nominated Louie Vega continues
to send dance floors into a peak hour frenzy with his remixes of disco
classics on Nervous Records. The
inspiration to delve into masters from this era began when he started
remixing masters from the SAM Records catalogue, which is owned by Nervous
Records, and with whom Louie has a long history going back to Nervous' early
90’s origins. Louie is that unique producer who has had success in multiple
genres of music including House, R&B, & Freestyle and he has brought
that talent to help re-ignite New York disco classics like Vicky D’s
"This Beat Is Mine" and Convertion’s "Let’s Do It"
featuring Leroy Burgess, as well as charting topping disco hits from John
Davis & The Monster Orchestra "Bourgie Bourgie" & "Up
Jumped The Devil". This time, Louie put his focus on a track outside of
the SAM Records catalogue, and one that was an international disco hit that
also crossed over to becoming a 1978 pop hit, namely Sylvester / Dance (Disco
Heat). Using elements from the 1978 version and combining them with his own
original musical and percussion contributions, along with new vocal performances
from renowned singer Cindy Mizelle, Louie has refashioned and reignited this
39 year-old production into a 2018 club anthem. This past year has seen Louie
continue to fortify his position as one of the industry’s most prolific
producers. Remixes from his Grammy – nominated best dance album "Louie
Vega Starring...XXVIII” have consistently sold out on its vinyl release and
hit number 1 on charts on multiple digital platforms. 2018 will see
collaborations with Kenny Dope under their legendary and world-renowned
Masters At Work and Kenlou monikers, as well as co-productions with The

his place in the scene as a mainstay after consecutively acclaimed releases
on his own record label and beyond as well as lengthy touring around the
globe's best venues, Altinbas returns to Token the only way he knows how. The
Fuse resident's ethereal mark on driven techno comes this time with an
aquatic touch, diving further into his bubbly architecture and melodic
intrigue. 'Voyage' can mean many things; the past few years have been an
incessant trip across the world's greatest sound systems and most dedicated
audiences for the Belgian producer, or then perhaps it's a reference to the
climactic and emotional nature of his productions. In any case, it's also the
title track for his third EP on Token Records. Balancing warmth and
anticipation, Altinbas is able pack in all the elements of a timeless record
while still providing the space to breathe. Smooth and introspective,
'Voyage' kicks off the EP on a cloud of a club roller. 'Stygious Night'
shares the first side with a more minimal but nonetheless effective approach.
The tonal synth work on this record begs for a powerfully round system worthy
of only the best dancefloors, and the space that washes around in the
background gives it true dimension. Maintaining minimalism with structure through
drum arrangement, 'Stygious Night' is reminiscent of a not so distant past in
Berlin crafted with a clearly modern approach. As the record flips, 'Venus
Ballroom' takes us by surprise with an uncommonly resonant sound at the
forefront. This stylistic switch blends perfectly with historic tracks on the
label that have come to define its sound since 2007. Hypnotic, psychotic,
quirky, and mental - 'Venus Ballroom' proves a deep understanding of the
music and appreciation of versatility. 'Psychosphere' closes down the EP with
a classic sound of dissonant stabs to resonate through a foggy room. Altinbas
highlights his sound with frantic clap sequences and short rides to keep his
percussion rolling but dry while his synths create the acoustic he's been
known to craft for the past few years. To have everyone agree on level of
taste and technical capability is tough, which is why this certainly won't be

coldwave act Corps Diplomatique comes to Dark Entries with Dans Ta Nuit, a
collection of tracks recorded between 1984-1987. Founded in Marseille by
Olivier Aubin, Marie-Eve Bensussan, Patrick Loubet and Nicolas Pélissie,
Corps Diplomatique remain shrouded in mystery. The band only released one 7”
during their time, 1988’s Paradis I, in addition to appearing with three
tracks on the La Muse Vénale compilation, a holy grail for devotees of the
French coldwave. Dans Ta Nuit brings us nine tracks from this cult band,
seven of which have never before appeared on vinyl. These cuts are raw and
unembellished but not at the expense of dramatic tension. Tracks like “Sin of
Flesh” and “Eros Phobia” deliver the kind of high octane mix of despair and
ecstasy that coldwave enthusiasts crave. Comparisons are inevitably to be
made with fellow Marseille act Martin Dupont, and the bands were indeed
close; Alain Séghir from Martin Dupont lent Corps Diplomatique synthesizers
for their own recording endeavors. Cold hearts care for each other. The cover
art for Dans Ta Nuit includes photographs of the band from a 1985 concert in
Marseille, and the record includes an insert that includes a photograph of
the band as well as lyrics and notes |

Legendary
House don Harry Romero joins Rekids for the first time with the ‘Nice To Meet
You’ EP comprising two massive tracks with classic NY House DNA with the sort
of modern twist Romero’s become synonymous with throughout his
two-decade-plus career. The Bambossa Records founder now lands on Radio
Slave’s flagship label following an impressive 2024, which featured releases
on Faith, Nu-Groove, and Defected. After his appearance on Rekids’ podcast
series in August, House hero Harry Romero starts the label’s 2025 with the
‘Nice To Meet You’ EP. First up is the title track, a uniquely hypnotic cut
with a bold kazoo melody and raw, club-ready low-end that shines on the
breakdowns and high-impact drops. ‘Danny’s Groove’ is next, a track with real
Romero energy, its rhythm carefully layered with an organic drum shuffle at
the centre, an ear-catching whistle melody in the back, and plenty of synth
hits in between - the ‘Nice To Meet You’ EP is a masterclass in building and
releasing energy on the dancefloor. Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint was founded
in 2006 and has since spawned successful offshoots with the Techno-focused
Rekids Special Projects in 2017 and its newest sublabel, REK’D, in 2024. With
Matt Edwards as the sole A&R, Rekids has been crucial in developing early
artist careers and has become a haven for established acts operating in House
and adjacent genres, having recently featured the likes of Hilit Kolet,
William Kiss, Bushwacka, Mathias Kaden, Katerina, Sean Johnston, and many

Pointe debut on Damian Lazarus’ Secret Teachings with ‘Umbra’, featuring
remixes from Nathan Fake and Jonny Rock. The experimental label opens its
2025 schedule on 24th January with the Geneva-based trio’s warping original
backed by a pair of late-hours remixes from two of the best in the scene.
Emerging from a confluence of rave culture and artistic mastery, La Pointe
make an impressive label debut on Damian Lazarus’ Secret Teachings imprint
with the enigmatic ‘Umbra’. The release, set for 24th January, is accompanied
by stellar remixes from revered producer Nathan Fake and the ever-versatile
Jonny Rock, delivering a sonic journey that transcends the ordinary. La
Pointe, a trio formed by Geneva-based techno pioneers Crowdpleaser and Entlet
alongside New York City’s Jonny Sender, represents a fusion of cultural and
musical legacies. Rooted in the dynamic after-hours scenes of Geneva and New
York’s underground club culture, the trio creates music that is both
innovative and steeped in tradition. Their studio, located in an old factory
by the meeting point of the Rhone and Arve rivers, lends its name—and its
industrial inspiration—to their project. The original mix of ‘Umbra’ is a
hypnotic exploration of light and shadow, blending atmospheric melodies with
deep, pulsating rhythms—a testament to their ability to craft soundscapes
that resonate emotionally and physically. Nathan Fake’s remix ventures into
intricate, textural layers, marrying ethereal tones with electronic
intensity. Jonny Rock injects a raw, off-kilter groove and late-hours energy
into his reinterpretation, blending his eclectic influences from disco, funk,
house, and beyond. The genesis of La Pointe is as captivating as its sound.
Crowdpleaser and Entlet are celebrated architects of Geneva’s rave scene,
running the legendary after-hours party The Shark for over a decade and
hosting luminaries like Alexander Robotnik, Boo Williams, and Sonja Moonear.
Jonny Sender, a stalwart of New York’s downtown music revolution in the 80s
to 00s and bass player of post-punk band KONK, brought his unique perspective
honed in venues like Mudd Club to the trio when he moved to France. This
debut appearance on Secret Teachings is not just a collection of influences
but a narrative woven from decades of underground culture and musical
exploration - making it a perfect fit for Lazarus’ label as he continues to
champion boundary-pushing artistry, curveball signings and inspired remix
curation |

is the final release for the 10th anniversary year of the Pi project
featuring Elements of Joy (a.k.a. UVB) and Stave both returning to the label
after their earlier appearances with PI08 and PI07 respectively. The vinyl
release showcases six original tracks--three from each artist--with bonus
tracks included in the digital release. On the A-side Elements of Joy
delivers 3 original tracks of New-Beat leaning techno including one song that
features vocals by Zanias. The opening track "Prutaneousa (A1)"
connects the dots between his previous entry on the label and this one with
the use of retro 80s inspired vocal samples but this time on a rather driving
beat sequence than an industrial/noise one. "A Master of Distress
(A2)" dives deeper into a hypnotic mood while "Vampiric Habits
(A3)" takes it even further to an ethereal atmosphere through the input
of Australian vocalist Zanias. On the B-side Chicago producer Stave presents
his signature hypnotic broken-beat techno. The side opens with "Weingart
(B1)" a characteristically Stave textured track. "900MPH (B2)"
combines IDM elements with dynamic broken rhythms while "Capital, Selves
(B3)" blends experimental with Grey Area influences. The digital release
includes two more bonus tracks: an energetic EBM techno piece by Elements of
Joy and an atmospheric techno by Stave completing this diverse split release.
SPLIT#4 is a fitting close to the project's milestone year celebrating a
decade of our Pi vision |
