Records has enlisted Turkish-Italian DJ and producer Carlita for the next
instalment of its prestigious mix compilation series, ‘fabric presents’. Set
for full release on April 11, fabric presents Carlita will showcase her
meticulous curation, featuring two new original tracks. The double vinyl
sampler features eight full length tracks taken from Carlita’s mix. Her two
exclusives ‘Raf’ and ‘Stop Now’ are cut to A1 and C1 respectively. The two
black vinyl plates are 140g and are packaged in black inners, inside a matt
printed reverse board printed sleeve. The vinyl package accompanies the CD,
digital download and streaming of fabric presents Carlita mixed compilation
across all major platforms on 11th April 2025. The announcement of Carlita’s
mix arrives alongside the release of the first single, “Raf,” a collaboration
with Toronto producer Andre Zimmer, out now via fabric Records. “Raf” is a
high-energy fusion of classic house and rave influences, crafted with the
dancefloor in mind. The track pairs infectious, soulful vocal elements with
punchy synth stabs and rolling breakbeats, all anchored by a deep, groovy
tech-house bassline. “Raf,” along with an additional original from Carlita,
“Stop Now,” is nestled among storied house and techno juggernauts such as
Butch, Alex Metric, and Paco Osuna, as well as rising underground producers
Prunk, Toman, Alinka, and more. Beyond the club and festival circuit, Carlita
is a leading figure at the intersection of music and fashion. She’s been
featured in British Vogue and on the cover of Vogue Italia, performed at
exclusive events for Louis Vuitton, Versace, and Fendi, and curated
performances featuring The Blessed Madonna and Heron Preston at her own
multi-sensory Senza Fine parties. Most recently, she collaborated with
Audemars Piguet to mark the release of her debut album, Sentimental. Carlita
(real name Carla Frayman) comes from a background of musical mastery, having
played classical cello for the Royal Academy of Music in London in her
earlier years (after learning to play piano at age 3). Since her earliest
memories, Frayman has never stopped developing her musical talent, picking up
more instruments, learning music theory, and after university, saving up
enough money to pursue it full time. She hasn’t stopped chasing her dreams
and is now playing high-profile DJ slots (check out her Cercle set at
Cinecittà in Rome), and has quickly risen as a producer with her phenomenal
debut album Sentimental on Ninja Tune last year, as well as remixes for Disclosure
and RÜFÜS DU SOL. Coming up, Carlita be performing at festivals and clubs in

Enigmatic
producer ANiML returns to the freeform Los Angeles-based label StrataSonic to
release a six-track mini album, Star Walk. The new body of work, which comes
alongside a new music video for “Bruv” (directed by Spanish visual artist YZA
Voku), is out now. Picking up where ANiML left off with “Breather” and
“Bruv,” Star Walk elaborates further on that woozy-yet-sophisticated
psychedelia, materializing as cinematic trip-hop, cavernous dub, and other
unique genre concoctions across its six tracks. “Cherry,” with its
free-spirited, delay-soaked guitar riffs, depicts a colorful,
post-rock-inspired soundscape. “BabyD,” in step with “Bruv,” features a
mischievous marimba melody among ghostly vocal samples, a punchy drumkit, and
a slackened bassline. These scenes are brought to life thanks to YZA Voku, a
groundbreaking visual artist who is at the forefront of AI-assisted
filmmaking in the animation space (see his work for The Weeknd, Swedish House
Mafia, Hï Ibiza, and XG). The new music video for “Bruv,” out today, unfolds
in stark black, white, and red, evoking a noir-inspired aesthetic steeped in
mystery and intrigue. Shadowy figures move rhythmically through dimly lit
alleys and smoke-filled ballrooms, blending calculated steps with hypnotic
dance sequences. The production blended real-life recordings with digital
effects like blur, negatives, masks, analog textures, and AI-driven
transformations using Runway’s video-to-video tools. AI-generated sequences
created with Midjourney and Runway were merged to contrast real footage with
synthetic imagery. This type of work is a rejection that AI is simply used as
a shortcut in art and comes at a time when musicians are beginning to embrace
such tools for the visual components of their products |

is a crucial '80s hardcore document that has been painstakingly remastered
from the original tapes using an all-analog process, Neon Christ guitarist
William DuVall made multiple trips to Nashville to one of the few remaining
studios maintaining the vintage technology to play and process the audio.
Side one of '1984' features the original Neon Christ 7" EP, and side two
contains four songs recorded on labor day 1984 including 'Ashes To Ashes'
which was included on the 'International Peace/War' compilation released by
MDC's R Radical Records. Vinyl was pressed with care by Kindercore vinyl mfg
in Athens GA at 45 RPM for maximum fidelity. The package includes a
full-colour Stoughton gatefold sleeve and a 12"x12" twelve page
oral history booklet featuring dozens of never-before-seen photographs |

The Cyrkle produced one album's
worth of solid garage rock, and it certainly proves that the band was an
enthusiastic bunch of musicians. Much closer to late '60s garage (proto) punk
than psychedelia, the album was released in 1969. They were best known for
their 1966 song 'Red Rubber Ball' (written by Paul Simon) which went to #2 on
the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band was discovered and managed by Brian
Epstein and given the unique spelling of their name by John Lennon. The group
was formed by guitarists and lead singers Don Dannemann and Tom Dawes (bass
guitar), who met while studying at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.
The other members were Earl Pickens on keyboards and Marty Fried on drums.

Sibusile Xaba is a meeting of nomadic, wandering and kindred spirits in
music. Both artists draw upon their ancestry: Belgian-Ghanaian(ESINAM) and
Kwazulu Natal-South Africa (Sibusile Xaba) through a unique connection, a
deep artistic and spiritual level, they use rhythms and grooves to translate
stories to the audience. Their vocal chanting enhances trance to rhythmic
patterns that grace us by melodies of the future and past. On April 25th
2025, ESINAM & Sibsile Xaba will release their first joint album entitled
'Healing Voices'. This album is a reflection of the kaleidoscopic multitude
of musical inspirations running through the veins of two very talented solo
artists. Both multi-instrumentalists, they provide many different layers to
their music. Each track is a reflection of their cross-pollination. Musically
inspired by Ghanaian Highlife and traditional songs from Zulu and Ewe
culture, but with a distinct contemporary interpretation where their acoustic
sound is enhanced by electronic gadgets. As multi-instrumentalists, the two
artists translate messages from their ancestors through rhythms and grooves.
Their vocal chanting enhances trance to rhythmic patterns that grace us by
melodies of the future and past. Thanks to their Belgian-Ghanaian and
South-African roots, they are unique in their being, strong in their union
and connected on deep artistic and spiritual levels. The collaboration
between ESINAM and Sibusile Xaba is bringing healing to body and soul. In
2018 Esinam discovered Sibusile Xaba during his European (solo)tour. She was
enchanted by his musical energy and craftsmanship and invited him as a vocal
guest feature on the track 'Flowing River', from her debut album 'Shapes in
Twilights of infinity'. When she was asked at the first edition of WOMAD
Festival in South Africa if she wanted to collaborate with a 'local artist',
she didn't have to think twice. So in October 2022, Esinam and Sibusile
seized this opportunity to dive into the rehearsal and recording studio, and
discover and combine each other's musical universes to shape up new music
together. In May 2023 this collaboration continued with rehearsals,
recordings and a first European tour with performances in Belgium, The
Netherlands, France, Germany and Slovenia. In March 2024 they released the first
single 'Africa Wola' out of the fothcoming album. In November 2024, they
released a remix of their first single by South-African DJ and producer
DaCapo and played at Visa for Music in Morocco |

Vilhelm
Hasselgren is a Gothenburg-based producer and DJ with a focus on Jungle and
productions that move between 160-170 bpm. Vilhelm focuses a lot on complex
rhythms and ambient soundscapes and takes inspiration from both older and
modern Jungle, as well as other electronic acts such as Basic Channel, Mala,
Skee Mask and Arkajo. Vilhelm tries to create soundscapes that move between
different musical starting points. He has previously released on Rezonant
Body, Canape Records, Bukva Sound and Of Paradise Records. Also has an
upcoming EP releasing on Bukva as well as a V.A on Western Lore. In 2025,
Vilhelm also has a residency at London-based Subtle Radio. Vilhelms words:
Central Line EP is an EP that I'd myself consider to be my debut EP. The
tracks were created within a two-and a half year span, with some tracks being
re-worked and replaced. Later ending up with the final track-list, which I am
very happy in how it ended up in the end. One of the tracks that were later
added onto the EP being 1000 a co-production with my brother Einar (Local
Arms), which we spontaneously recorded at our parents house over a weekend. I
mostly start from percussion, onto bass and later melody in my productions.
The title track "Central Line" was started when I lived in Brighton
for half a year, together with Theo Soderlund (Theomega). The Eski sample is
a bit tricky one, but wanted to experiment with it, further I chopped an Amen
and a Think break with an idea to create a pretty simple rhythm that could leave
the riff to speak for itself. Even though the tracks were created within a
pretty long span of time, I feel like they portray a sound that I want to
further explore and produce at this point. Also Arcne adding a monster remix
of Central Line that has been getting lot of love. Could not be happier to
release it on Bukva Sound which prior releases I think really captivate a
sound that has been really inspiring throughout the process |

The 2 Tone sound was a great
period in the aftermath of Punk and included
influences taken from Jamaican Ska. Mal-One had already worked on some
Two Tone collages and had them put aside for some future project. He thought
it would be fun to record some tracks related to these images and sounds. The
first track he recorded was an instrumental track in the style of Harry J All
Stars ‘Liquidator’ which he called ‘Rude Boy Shuffle’. Initially to be put
out as a stand alone track on some reggae label of some sort. He had a poem
already which he called ‘Two Tone Story’, so put that on top of the ‘Ska
Train Is Back In Town’ rhythm which he had put together for another song of
that name. Finally ‘Rude Boys and Rude Girls Listen Up! ‘came together.
Adding to this a couple of dub mixes and we have a 6 track 12”. Mal-One
thought the artwork worked better on a 12” format. Hope you enjoy the outcome |

Crash Recoil, Anthony Child aka Surgeon returns to Tresor with new LP,
Shell~Wave. Retaining the minimal equipment list and
studio-version-of-live-show-sets approach of the previous album in order to
focus on the work itself, Shell~Wave is a deeply personal document of both
where Surgeon is and has been, converging three decades of experience with a
continued curiosity in the untested. “To make this project, I had to dig
really deep in terms of what my relationship was to techno; I’ve been
involved with it for a really long time and there’s a lot about it I feel
dislocated from, so I had to really think hard about what techno is to me. I
often get asked “what is techno to you?” but I can’t answer that with words;
this album is the answer.” From the complex, twisting track Infinite Eye to
the caustic Soul Fire, the eight tracks that make up the body of the album
are single-take explorations of the vast, hard yet minimal techno Child is
synonymous with. Neatly dividing the record in two, the emotional centre of
the record comes in the form of Dying, a vibrating, beatless piece that with
a mantra-like vocal loop steeped in reverberating effects. Further echoes of
dub production appear throughout the record as tracks like Divine Shadow, and
Empty Cloud have an almost ever-present mist of reverberation, driven by the
appearance of a new delay unit in the equipment list; while much of the
philosophy of Crash Recoil’s creation is present, the process and the
instruments have changed as Child again switches up his approach to studio
work. This insistence on trying novel techniques doesn’t preclude returning
to old ones, as this use of modern digital machines with live, hands-on takes
that are as inspired by 60s producer Joe Meek and 70s reggae as they are by
this year’s synthesiser expos. “For me, it’s an interesting experience
returning to old techniques again after 30 years. [I’m] always exploring and
finding myself back at the beginning. Connecting the present with the past.”
This philosophy of ‘time travel’ is inherent to the music itself as the
synchronised loops repeat while the delay and effects branch out, forming
unique eddies; distinct quantum moments within the circular whole; the future
leaking through the spaces between the sounds. All of the concepts on the
album are perfectly communicated through the painting by Taiwanese artist
Jazz Szu-Ying Chen which suggests the movement of water, sound waves, and the
chitinous shells of sea creatures |

is not merely a measure of change but a profound mystery permeating all
aspects of existence. It is both present and elusive, like the light of a
distant star we see but can no longer touch at its source. The cosmos poses a
fundamental question: what is time? Is it the stream in which we exist or an
illusion crafted by our perception? The grandeur of the Universe reveals the
extraordinary malleability of time. Gravity can slow its flow, while velocity
can stretch it to infinity. At the event horizon of a black hole, time can
nearly halt, transforming a moment into an eternity. This teaches us that
time is not a universal truth but a phenomenon dependent on conditions and

label compilation full of all-new Outsider Dubs, Dancehall bangers and lots
of cosmic low end, marking twenty years of Reggae oddness from Leipzig. Vol.
5 is the first addition to the Jahtarian Dubbers series in over ten years,
starting off with ‘The Loop Jerk’ by DJ and activist Dave Watts aka KingLMan
(who sadly passed away in 2024). Kiki Hitomi turns up the heat with ‘Red
Mustang’, a raw but sweet PG 18-rated Japanese lofi Reggae gem, followed by
‘Casio HipHop’, an addictive synth & drum machine session by UK bedrock
producer Kris Kemist (Reality Shock Records). Singjay miracle El Fata brings
the positive energy with ‘Boom Sound’, a synthie dancehall scorcher hot off
the tape reels at Naram’s studio in the New Zealand bush, while Jura Soundsystem’s
hypnotizing ‘On My Way (Dub)’ easily shifts gears into Sly & Robbie-mode.
Side B starts off with Pupajim’s prophetic ‘Tidal Wave’, produced by
digi-reggae specialist Raggattack and coming in an epic extended Disco Dub
version. Melodica wizard Taka Noda (Mystica Tribe) and synth shaman Danny
Wolfers (Legowelt) enter into deep magnetic communion with their Sacred
Tascam tape deck on ‘Cabal of Puppeteers’, followed by DJ veteran Speng Bond
chanting ‘Wha Mek’ over a spaced out depth charge by Jahtari co-founder
Rootah. Gameboy-whisperer DJ Scotch Egg (WaqWaq Kingdom, Seefeel) joins
forces with disrupt and Dub trumpet black belt Pablo Volt (STA) for a
mindbending journey going all the way from synth heavy Roots to Acid Jazz, on
Namahage‘s ‘Voidout Dub’. The voyage ends with a hazy and mystical Ambient
Dub version of ‘Muuri’ by Finish singer Tiiu Helinä, with Tapes on keys – not

Nicknamed
"The Queen of Terror", Liza N' Eliaz was a well respected DJ,
producer and label owner born in Ostend in 1958 and sadly passed away in
Antwerp in 2001. Growing up in a family of musicians, she studied classical
music and learned to play the piano four hands with her grandfather, a
conductor at the local municipal orchestra. Later she discovered the
synthesizer and cassette recorder and joined new wave and industrial bands in
the recording studio and on tour. During a concert in France in 1985 she met
Yvette Neliaz, who became her companion, muse and partner and whose surname
inspired her pseudonym. Liza was added as a reference to the byname given to
transsexuals in Flanders. In Amsterdam the couple became enthralled with the
burgeoning acid house, new beat and techno scene centered around the club
Roxy. Soon Liza N? Eliaz started to make a name for herself, among others in
the Parisian underground scene and as a regular guest at French Radio FG. As
a DJ she mastered an incredible technique simultaneously mixing on three or
four turntables |

Spandau20,
an imprint named after the Western Berlin district and focused on artists
from the area, delivers techno in all diverse forms - from warehouse and
electronic peak time beats to breaks and IDM, balancing the old and new
school sounds flawlessly. With a focus on vinyl releases, for the collectors,
Spandau20 has lately also focused on its label nights, with showcases at
Fabric, Bassiani and many others. The label's 10th release features 10 tracks
that epitomise the musical diversity of Spandau20 and the progressive musical
mindset of its roster, calling on the label favourites and Spandau natives to
deliver brand new and exciting music. This special release even features one
track that all artists have worked on together: 'Come Closer', a swarming,
slithering beginning featured as the VA's opener. Its barely coherent female
vocal echoing amidst a cacophony of demon-like effects. The chilling ambience
captured at the offset transcends into the first full length track by Elli
Acula, 'Floating Eyes', a cur characterised by an authoritative, pounding
bass featuring calculated percussive rolls and metallic overtones to make for
a face-scrunching opener to this devilish collection of works. FJAAK follow
for the first of twin cameo appearances, partnering up with fellow live
supremo and hardware aficionado KiNK. On 'Overbridge' the trio deliver a
cavernous, rolling number driven by a deep thrumming bass in addition to a
razor-edged lead synth, and pulsating technopattern. Dajusch is known for
incorporating his years of classical study in with his immersive musical
style - and with his VA effort the Berlin native neatly showcases this.
Easing the energy slightly, 'Move' escalates from its warm, melodic intro
into rumbling goliath of a beat comprising a looping, slew of gassy
harmonics. The momentum of the release shifts considerably with the
introduction of acutely versatile producer, DJ and sound artist Claus. The
artist from Spandau leans his track 'Bloomscroll' towards sparse, dubby
sonics in which he intricately ties together to form churning, burgeoning
soundscape. FJAAK jolt proceedings back into the techno groove with their
signature blend of arresting sub-bass and reverberating rhythms, which come
thick, fast and heavy on 'Jackfruit'. The abstract wonder of Anna Z's
broken-beat like stylings is fully explored on 'Icy Liq'. It's outlandish and
amorphous in its execution, causing a clattering percussive chaos that's
choicely pieced together by the modular-extraordinaire. Nikk stealthy moves
into breaks territory with his track 'Down In The Shadows', packing a
trap-like snare with an acid-flecked melody and dawn-breaking, dream-like
textures. The penultimate track on the VA is 'Tufted'. J.Manuel expertly
employs a chorus of robot-like sonics that course through a short-circuiting
low-end to produce a pacy, inescapable journey via a whirling, merciless
beat. He is joined by the legendary producer Tobi Neumann for their
menacingly ambient number titled 'Fennec.' In parts a nod to UK dubstep, the
duo concocts a fierce admixture of styles bolstering tribal-like components
with industrialised overtones and methodically crafted drum-fills |

Patrick
Conway crossed the threshold to find a new hope. This is his third offering
for the ESP Institute. On side A, 'Loss' sets an overall melancholic tone for
the record. A single repeating high note on the piano establishes a guiding
element, which is eventually supported by a tear-jerking yet resolving chord
progression, a trailing choir of angelic voices, and a filter-modulating
synth that pads the widest zones of the mix with the occasional
counter-melody. Robust in and of itself, Patrick’s melodic arrangement floats
gracefully over an otherwise antagonistic rhythm section built from his
signature corroded dancehall arsenal. This hornets nest of boxed live kick
drums, piccolo snares, and high-pitched toms is held together by a dry veneer
of saturation, sitting at safe distance from but in natural harmony with the
bulbous low-frequency atmospherics. On the flip, 'Silencio' employs a similar
statement at the top of each measure, this time an anthemic polyphonic synth
stab as opposed to the singular piano note, however, unlike the layered
melodies throughout 'Lost', here Patrick explores the narrative possibility
of negative space—call and response, rhythmic dialogue, and the implied notes
that leave the listener’s or dancer’s intuition to complete a phrase. In the
game “musical chairs,” children run around manically until signaled to find a
chair, at which point their diverse personalties must urgently synchronize,
until set free to run again and repeat the process. Patrick's approach for
'Silencio' conjures said metaphor—his melody and rhythm are unleashed to
meander and spasm within the confines of each respective bar, until that
anticipated synth stab unifies everything “on the one”—controlling the chaos,
calling on muscle memory and affirming logic. These two songs will be with
you always as they always have been |

the Bridge proudly presents the latest EP from Dutch sonic architect Spekki
Webu, titled "Neural Network," set to release on April 15, 2025. As
the founder of Mirror Zone, Webu masterfully conjures a spectral world where
time collapses and frequencies bend, inviting listeners on a mind-expanding
journey through sound. His ritualistic compositions transcend conventional
boundaries, merging past, present, and future into a singular, fluid moment.
The eight-track EP delves into an abstract landscape of high-intensity
frequencies and textural flux. Webu's sonic manipulations challenge
linearity, evoking cyclical movements that oscillate between chaos and order.
Each track serves as a kinetic force, pulsating with raw energy and

Hackney
Electronica come to Dark Entries with the Synaptic Shadows EP, featuring 5
cuts of acidic rave-inflected wave. Quinn Whalley (Paranoid London), Unai
Trotti (Cartulis Music), and Margo Broom (Hermitage Working Studios) formed
Hackney Electronica during COVID era. Trotti and Whalley were spending
countless hours digging through records and making music during lockdown. As
their sound took shape - heavy and hypnotic - they invited Broom to join,
cementing the motley trio. The five pieces on Synaptic Shadows explore themes
of altered states, late-night cityscapes, and the fine line between pleasure
and paranoia. Each track pulses like a memory from the backstreets of
Hackney, where the night transforms the city into an electrified maze of
fleeting highs and inevitable crashes. The anxious grooves on “H.E. Nuestro
Circuito” and “Whispers from the Depths” channel 1980s DIY electronics onto
the contemporary dancefloor, while “Efecto Perfecto,” “The One”, and “Nueva
Ola” offer breakbeat-laced electro that will keep you dancing until dawn.

founder’ upcoming album on the label. Chile’s Matias Aguayo debuts on Rekids
with ‘El Internet’, the first single of his upcoming album on Radio
Slave’s acclaimed label. Coméme co-founder Aguayo’s ‘El Internet’ is a
dancefloor-tested, pumping and uptempo track with personal, intimate
vocals phoning in. “El Internet” tells about walking through the city in hot
summer nights looking for the perfect dancefloor and about moments in
life where you feel (musical) freedom and change, revolutions in music and
dreams in community, about YouTube, MySpace, Fotolog and about people who
dance in their houses, yards and on the streets to primitive, raw, and direct
music (like the rhythm of the track itself).” - Matias Aguayo. Chilean-born
musician and DJ Matias Aguayo has been active for three decades, co-founding
the Cómeme label in 2009 and releasing work on the likes of Kompakt, Pschent,
Hard Fist, and Permanent Vacation. Beyond music, he has organised underground
parties and led social projects, including a theatre production at Le
Châtelet in Paris. Radio Slave’s Rekids was founded in 2006 and has since
