Alberto Iglesias (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Constant Gardener, La piel
que habito, Julieta, The Two Faces of January) for the Argentinian political
thriller-drama directed by Santiago Mitre, starring Ricardo Darín, Dolores
Fonzi, Daniel Giménez Cacho and Christian Slater. The fi lm takes place at a
summit for Latin American presidents in Chile, where the region's
geopolitical strategies and alliances are under discussion. Argentinian
president Hernán Blanco endures a political and family drama that will force
him to face his own demons. He'll have to come to two decisions that could
change the course of his public and private life forever: one regarding a
complicated emotional situation with his daughter, and the other, the most
important political decision of his career. Alberto Iglesias provides an
intense, exciting and highly vigorous score with thick orchestral
colors_lyrical, dark and rhythmic, including an ironic and macabre waltz as a
main theme. Performed by The English Session Orchestra under the composer's
baton, and recorded at Air Studios in London, the album contains the entire
score presented in four conceptual suites, compiled by the composer for an enjoyable

Swedish
punk rockers City Saints is thrilled to announce the release of their highly
anticipated new studio album: "Explosiv!" is the band's sixth album
since forming in Gothenburg in 2012. Since then the band have toured all over
Europe several times and reached millions of streams. City Saints has gained
a reputation for their energetic "take no prisoners" attitude and
catchy choruses. "Explosiv!" is no exception. The album works as an
homage to the band's hometown Gothenburg, both in the lyrics and in the
musical influence of the Gothenburg punk scene in the late 70's and early
80's. "Explosiv!" kicks off with a surprise in the Ennio Morricone
inspired "Göta Älv". This moody number paves way for a string of
high paced anthemic songs such as "Majorna" and "På G" ,
where the smell of the Ramones is instant. The band's love for down and dirty
rock'n'roll is prominent in "Blod & Bly" and "Kranarnas
Stad". More surprises come in form of the title track, where a wild bass
solo is featured, and the outro "Fan Ta Er" which is a short live
cut done in an intimate setting with just vocals and harmonica performed to a
stompy beat. City Saints has once again worked with producer Chips Kiesbye,
renowned for his work with The Hellacopters and Michael Monroe. The result is
a natural sounding record, reminiscent of the stripped-down productions from
the golden age of punk rock. The band took full advantage of Kiesbye's
talent, having the Sator singer/guitarist perform both mandolin and accordion
on "Explosiv!" |

Dee Dee Ramone I.C.L.C.
(Inter-Celestial Light Commune) was formed by Dee Dee and John Carco in 1994
in New York City. After several live shows and drummers as a the three piece
line up the two members decided to move to Amsterdam to record for Rough Trade
Records. The four-song EP Chinese Bitch and the album I Hate Freaks Like You
were both released in 1994. The band toured 22 countries in a 10-month period
and they never toured in the U.S. This set in Scotland catch the big energy,
some of The Ramones tracks are slower or even longer than the original
versions and Dee Dee plays a wonderful version of Poison Heart all alone |

La Revolución de Emiliano Zapata
was the Mexican psychedelic rock band that achieved the most commercial
success internationally in the early 70s. Their self-titled and much
sought-after debut LP (1971) is considered one of the best acid rock albums
in Mexico, recorded under the influence of groups like Credence Clearwater
Revival or the Who but also adding their own style featuring an original and

After
the oneiric journey through synthesizers on Volume 1, entitled @SYNTHESIS@,
Massimo Martellotta *founding member of Calibro 35( returns with the second
Volume of One Man Sessions exploring the tonal possibilities of the classical
instrument par excellence> the Piano. The instrument is at the center of
the scene, and the prepared Piano in the manner of John Cage is here
decontextualized and freely "In&Prepared@ and reinvented in a very
personal way, placing objects of common use on the strings themselves to
obtain unprecedented timbres. Starting from its nature as a percussion
instrument, the piano is hit, caressed, blocked with rubbers or left to
resonate on the capsule of a microphone, or else pinched like a harp or a
cymbalon, while it fires with the battery, the vibraphone or the mellotron.
In UNPREPARED PIANO we move from more classical compositions, quoting Chopin
and Satie (the opening piece @Come Un Notturno@) to introspective drones
("Risonanza@) to songs that hybridize the languages, delineating
immediate melodies and openings in balance between the absolute modernity of
Nils Frahm, the moving color imagery of Bad Plus (for example in @Sostenuto@)
and the minimalism of Penguin Café Orchestra (@Nécessaire Per Fanciulli").
All this once again held together by an evocative, current and always
recognizable flo conductor. An album where the piano is the protagonist then,
but the dialogue with the other instruments is continuous, fluid and often we
forget that behind every instrument there is only one person. Written, played

Amelia & The Housewives single digitally on April 11th, with the vinyl
following a week later. We loved these tracks straight away. Small wonder
that the band’s live hometown debut quickly sold out, or that they were recently
selected for the BBC’s Fresh Faves! Here’s what the band told us when we
asked for a bio! Amelia & The Housewives formed in May 2024 when Amelia
met Lola at a Julie London/Peter & The Test Tube Babies tribute night at
the Valley Social Centre and decided to form a band. With Tim on guitar, Dan
on drums, and Will on bass they recorded a bunch of songs on the hottest day
of the year. Sadly, Will left them at the start of 2025, but they are hoping
Steve Housewive, stays a bit longer. The band’s ambition is to play
Eastbourne bandstand, find out if Puffins are real and form an Amelia &
The Housewives tribute band. They are recording some more songs soon |

"High
urgency music with a very personal expression of the artist: in one way or
another", this has always been the important or maybe even the core
factor of every Cortizona release so far. So it was just a matter of time
until DJ Marcelle/Another Nice Mess, longtime fan of The Fall and Jiskefet,
topnotch producer, dj wizard with three turntables (and a lovely person in
general) - and myself - would collaborate towards a Cortizona release. I
guess the initial idea of working together with DJ Marcelle/Another Nice Mess
dates back to 2019. One day she called me four times in five minutes just to
hear Mark E. Smith's voice message on my phone. Since then there has been no
going back. I mean: what's not to love about her? Some time ago, she sent me
the digital files of her new LP 'Sorry, No Service'. One of the tracks,
'Sorry, No Silence', features the Nan Goldin sample: 'this is clearly ethnic
cleansing', taken from Goldin's impressive speech to which the audience
cheered in support at the opening of her exhibition at the Neue
Nationalgallerie in Berlin end of 2024. Two weeks later Marcelle contacted me
again: her German label refused to release the track. This was the moment we
had both been waiting for: at last Cortizona and Marcelle would work
together! The album is due to be released later this year, but, with things
as they are in Gaza, it is important to issue 'Sorry, No Silence' as a
stand-alone track as soon as possible. Talking about urgency! 'Sorry, No
Silence' resonates feelings of global despair over the genocide in Gaza and
the moraland political bankruptcy of 'western values'. It does so over a
repetitive, militant tribal beat, complete with heavy basslines. The spirits
of Mark Stewart, On-U Sound and Muslimgauze loom over the track, but as is
always the case with Marcelle, both on stage and in the studio: she has an
authentic style of her own, where playfulness meets courage and - also in
this case - anger meets rhythm. 'Sorry, No Silence' is a track I didn't know
I was waiting for. A track reflecting the sign of the times. The 12'' also
features an even more heavy (and faster) dub version and the avant garde
track 'Never Again Means', featuring more Nan Goldin samples: 'never again
means never again for everyone'. For obvious reasons the proceeds of this 12
inch and the digital Bandcamp release will be donated to PCRF, Palestine

in our Kooky family. Minube is a DJ and producer from Moldovia, an artist
that needs no introduction due to lots of exceptional releases on top
interesting labels and hours spent spinning music on the best clubs of
Moldovia and Serbia. Through this EP Minube takes us straight to the dance
floor. 2 original tracks by the Moldovian are quite raw, yet very dynamic and
well-crafted. The other tracks (collabos with Andrey Djackonda and Osvit)
show slightly different shades of minimal, but are also intriguing in terms
of sound design and structures. The EP is quite diverse musically and it's up
to a DJ which track to spin in a club, but it's a definitely release not to
be missed in the months to come and more |

2025, a long-dormant signal reactivates from Hamburg’s hidden places: Helena
Hauff and F#X return as Black Sites with R4 on Tresor Records—their first
full-length album and the first release under the moniker since 2014. Like a
hieroglyphic recently discovered and translated, R4 feels more like a
long-awaited resumption than a comeback. Recorded to tape with minimal
editing or post-production the record is a classic example of the symbiotic
relationship that can come from the interaction of human and machine. This
punk ethos isn’t invoked through distortion alone, but through method; in the
album’s breaking from the received wisdom of hardness tethered to speed as
most of the tougher pieces are lower BPM and vice versa (with one notable
exception in the mind-melting stomp of BLOKK). Across ten tracks, Black Sites
traverse a landscape where genre dissolves into intention. It migrates
through electro’s danceability, acid house’s corrosion, and into the liminal
realm of machine funk—a genre coined by Andrew Weatherall, which sounds like
the results of technology dreaming of soul where the emphasis is on live
execution, on immediacy over perfection—a sound forged in the act of creating,
not polishing. In a 2013 interview, around the time of the first Black Sites
EP, Hauff was quoted as saying that she wants “things to fit together
properly, but on another level, I really want them to make sense together.”
That principle animates R4: The album’s form reveals itself in time, with
each movement echoing and amplifying the others to create a synergistic
whole. From the opening crawl of C4 (a name that like the music foreshadows
the explosions to come) to the end-of-the-night bliss of MOTHERJAM via the
intense peaks of BLOKK, 707, and classic acid track 3D it’s clear that R4 is
a work made with serious intent; a refutation of a world where streaming has
made the two-minute single the dominant musical form again. R4 demands
immersion, not just attention. It is not a collection of tracks, but a
singular, recursive experience: a mirror in which sound and listener
repeatedly rediscover one another |

"The
nineteenth entry in the Altered Circuits catalog comes courtesy of Alex Neri
with a selection of 4 tracks that distill an equal amount of decades in the
studio. They are undeniably straightforward yet difficult to pigeonhole. It
is clear Neri is aware of current trends and, at times, might even throw them
a little nod - but overall, his music escapes easy temporal classification.
On the "Club Voyage EP", he aims at the brash and brazen yet keeps
the pace lighthearted. When the results come buttressed with the type of
technical prowess at hand, it is hard not to get sucked into the adventure.
"Teller Mood", charged with a fierce bassline, boisterous drums and
jittery arps, is a slab of electroshock production. The track comes complete
with extra motivational vocals to drive the point home, and when it arrives
at its most stripped parts, instead of toning down, an alarm-like lead
emerges. "Schelter's Sounds" features an FM bass and gently
modulated, slow-attack synth embellishments. It is a set-up that allows for
catching a breath until a grandiosely introduced portamento-heavy patch
cranks things up a notch again. On the other side, the delayed and flanged
percussion of "Tenax Roots" forms the ideal conditions for ominous
synth work and robotized vocals; a theme that could have been lifted from a
giallo flick completes its suspenseful, hypnotic ambience. "Move Tokyo
Inputs" starts with another salvo of invigorating percussion. Amidst
subtly evolving formant basslines and several risers, the tune directs a
tweaked deadpan vocal sample to take center stage, showcasing how, in the
right hands, the sparsest source material can be turned into a
showstopper." |

Mishulino, a producer born in Tbilisi and now based in Amsterdam, who's
connecting these two vibrant scenes. Involved we have the incredible Beka
Gochiashvili aka Bjazz11 on keys--an artist who's already turned heads on the
world stage, getting recognition/playing with legends like Chick Corea,
Stanley Clarke and Herbie Hancock. He shares the spotlight with fellow
Tbilisi talent Luka Tuporia, a gifted young player with deep roots in jazz,
funk, and fusion. Together, their playing is full of raw feeling and
instinctive flow. The lineup is rounded out by Anna Zavorina, who brings
beautiful string textures, and Finn Peters, adding his own distinct flavor.
Save Some is the result of a lot of love and effort--a record that moves
effortlessly from fusion to hyperjazz to broken and beyond. It's a true

Records proudly debuts Shiken Hanzo's inaugural full-length album titled
'Fate Worlds'! Shiken Hanzo is an artist not easily forgotten. His sound
splices the fractious traditions of jungle with more ambient touches and this
hybridisation has us incredibly excited to bring you his first full length
album - 'Fate Worlds'. In doing so, his boundless creativity is brandished
through complete artistic freedom. The result is a special blend of
foreboding atmospherics and tightly-bound percussive force, an odyssey of an
album which takes influences from across the jungle spectrum and twists them
into a unique musical journey. Hanzo's record on label's like Samurai Music
and Cylon Recordings is clearly audible, a palpable legacy that has given breadth
to his current creative purpose: to make ever-evolving music with no respect
for conventions or boundaries. A thirteen-track mastery straight from the
underground, 'Fate Worlds' constructs a complex cinematic universe -
sonically rich and texturally sophisticated. Iconic tracks, such as 'Book of
Soyga', are emblematic of this approach; an eerie, kick-heavy track named
after an Elizabethan treatise on magic - an arcane, paranormal backdrop
juxtaposed with futuristic vocal leads and technoid bassline murmurs. At the
other end of the spectrum is 'Taoist Elements', a rhythmic sledgehammer built
upon the shifting sands of breakbeat hypnotism and one which brings a
laser-like focus on dancefloor momentum. This confidence to adapt and infuse
is eminent through-out the album and results in a raw and unforgiving display
of boisterous ingenuity. A truly sensational start to 2021, 'Fate Worlds'
demonstrates Hanzo's eclectic range and superb talent, as well as

mind. Following the strong reception of her track 'Fragrance' on the
'Federation Of Rytm III' compilation, this potent new EP is a powerful
reflection of her bold, emotional and forward-thinking artistic voice and the
start of an exciting new chapter with SHDW's Mutual Rytm. 'Abyss' kicks off
with tightly coiled, heavy-hitting drum funk and eerie synths that never let
up while ghoulish vocals layer in extra darkness and anxiety. 'Time' is
