Dublin-based
DJ Jubilee 1997 has previously awed listeners with various releases on
'Beyond Electronix' turning in commanding, fierce and atmospheric jungle.
Now, following on from his blistering 'Aerial Warmth' EP on Lobster Theremin
last year, Jubilee services up four club-ready, spell-binding cuts on an
emotionally captivating trip through the warehouse doors. Opener 'Ravers
Theme' hits hard, a dance floor hex sure to turn the most unbelieving of
heads; shadow and smoke permeate the warehouse walls, with its peak-time
sonics bouncing around the room and into ravers' minds. 'Titan' follows suit
with it's deep lows and wounding highs, its hypnotic and intangible
sensibility adding to its allure. Jubilee's ability to bring together ominous
and apocalyptic melodies alongside fierce breakbeat structures, result in a
barrage of boundary-defying energy. As the meandering ravers lose themselves
in it's spell 'Eastern Lines' breaches its hold if only for a moment before
'Alchemist' conjures the room to move; the lights flicker and flash moving
from one end of the room to another at undetermined speeds; closing a record
that's both captivating and relentless |

Inspiration
comes in many forms; the city in which we live, the culture from countries
across the globe and our love for TV, film and books. This rings true for FFF
as a move from his home of Vlissingen in 98 to Rotterdam, combined with his
love for UK sounds and comic books created a unique, outward-looking
perspective. The DJ, producer and long term party thrower now turns in a
record for Low Battery; so come and see for yourself. Opening track 'In Toom'
launches a satellite straight into deep space, picking up transmissions from
an unknown source. The track deploys alien electronics and other-worldly
vocal snippets, building a curious and ghostly atmosphere. Bass lures heavy
around the mid-way point creating an increasing sense of unease, as unidentifiable
objects head straight for earth. The aptly titled 'Desperately Seeking
Summer' is a giant leap toward the good times ahead. You can sense its energy
in the air; the smell of freshly cut grass, the charcoal from a newly lit BBQ
and the coastal breeze on a warm summer's day. Summer is almost here and we
could all do with a serotonin boosting elixir. The B-side opens with 'Voices'
as candy-floss vocals topped with xtra sugar taste even better with every
play; while ascending basslines and frenetic drums join hands to produce that
FFF energy we all know and love. 'Full of Light' provides tranquility at the
end of a wild ride, as shimmering synths shine with radiant bliss with the
power to transcend "bathed in light and lifted in what I can only call
another dimension." |

Debut album for the garage rock
band featuring Jake Cavaliere from The Lords Of Altamont. Drawing inspiration
from pioneers like The Velvet Underground and psychedelic icons The 13th
Floor Elevators, Black Honey Cult infuses their sound with shades of early
goth, post-punk, and krautrock. The result? A hypnotic, genre-defying blend
of dark, atmospheric psychedelia that transports listeners to another plane -
like dropping LSD on Mars. The band's sound was brought to life by the
legendary Paul Roessler (of Screamers and 45 Grave fame) at Kitten Robot
Studios, a perfect match for their haunting and transportive vision. Black
Honey Cult stands as a testament to years of collaboration, creativity, and
perseverance, offering an immersive experience for those ready to step into
their enigmatic world. Prepare to follow the cult and lose yourself in the
spellbinding sounds of Black Honey Cult |

This gang of young Spanish hoodlums from Madrid fire their first

clear these guys are an unstoppable force: a relentless backbeat, pounding
bass lines, razorblade guitar riffs and snarling vocals. It's a banger of a
track that salutes all that is great about the rock 'n roll attitude of '77
punk. The b-side is a solid cover version of KBD-classic "WHO CARES IF
TOMORROW COMES" by Kirk and the Jerks. Limited to 300 copies on black

Released originally through Mute
in 1990, 'Paradise Discotheque' was the fourth studio album from Berlin-based
post-punk band Crime & The City Solution, the band formed by Australian
Simon Bonney and which featured ex-members of The Birthday Party and assorted
members of other alternative greats at various points. This was the third and
final record made by one particular iteration of the group in a short period,
in which the group became more and more expressive and experimental - the
four-track 'The Last Dictator' suite at the end here is testament to this.

Karma
Sutra had been active for five years before releasing their only full-length
album, The Daydreams of a Production Line Worker, on their own label,
Paradoxical Records, in 1987. Prior to that, the band had issued just a
handful of demos and compilation tracks on Mortarhate. By the time they
reached the studio, Karma Sutra had expanded their sound beyond raw
anarcho-punk, blending in post-punk textures, brooding atmospheres and more
nuanced songwriting_resulting in a fiercely political and highly individual
concept album. Recorded at Sheffield's Vibrasound Studio and co-produced by
Spon of UK Decay, the album explores themes of class, gender, incarceration,
culture, and capitalism, aligning its lyrics with Situationist theory. Though
largely ignored at the time_punk orthodoxy being what it was_The Daydreams of
a Production Line Worker has since become a cult item, comparable in ambition
and message to the likes of Chumbawamba, The Mob and Thatcher on Acid. This
reissue includes a full reproduction of the original 28-page booklet, which
the band saw as essential to understanding the album's wider conceptual scope |

Part
4 of the Drexciya re-issue series! A new repress of the Journey Of The Deep
Sea Dweller series by Drexciya!! It comes with new artwork by critically
acclaimed American artist Ellen Gallagher, who created a series of paintings
titled Watery Ecstatic, inspired by Drexciya's music--which she discovered
while immersed in the mid-'90s New York techno scene. Now partly based in New
York and Rotterdam, the connection was easily made. Her Watery Ecstatic
series serves as the inspiration for the covers of this new edition of
Journey Of The Deep Sea Dweller, with embossed artwork offering a tactile,
physical complement to Drexciya's immersive sound world. Drexciya needs no
introduction for most--it's one of the most influential projects in techno
history. But for some, this might serve as an entry point into their sonic
universe and the broader (Detroit) techno culture. Their music emerged from a
harsh environment, and it shows--raw, uncompromising, and boundary-pushing.
Drexciya redefined Detroit techno like no one else. Their unique sound and
mythical aesthetic made them a true cult phenomenon. Guided by Mad Mike Banks
of Underground Resistance, their early releases were works of art in
themselves. Drexciya stands for the darker, deeper edges of techno and
electro--not just club music, but a profound extension of the mind and
spirit. Twenty years after the release of Deep Sea Dweller (their debut), and
ten years after Grava 4 (their final album), we've released Journey Of The
Deep Sea Dweller--an almost complete collection of their early works,
remastered from the original tapes. Since the original releases--on labels
like Underground Resistance--had such a strong identity and still stand on
their own, this reissue doesn't aim to recreate that magic. Instead, we've
stirred up the catalogue, taking the tracks out of their original context to
give the 'in-the-know' listener a fresh experience, and the new listener a
perfect introduction to Drexciya's sonic universe. Enjoy the ride! |

Unknown
Waveforms is the forthcoming album from Belgian trio KAU, set for release on
October 10, 2025. Marking an evolution since their 2023 release The Cycle
Repeats, this new record captures a more personal, immediate, and unfiltered
version of the band's sound. In an increasingly digital world, KAU takes a
different route, with an album rooted in human connection, live energy, and
creative spontaneity. Here, the trio reflect their take on instrumental
music, drawing heavily fromjazz, hip hop, and electronic influences. At the
heart of Unknown Waveforms lies the starting point of three musicians in a
room, writing and composing music on the spot. For KAU, this idea mirrors
their working method: long jam sessions, free-flowing experimentation, and
shared moments of inspiration. Songs often take shape slowly, unfolding over
hours or days, but always built collaboratively as a trio. The album's title
reflects the mystery behind how music comes together, but is also both
literal and symbolic. Unknown waveforms are the sounds that arise when
machines and people interact in unpredictable ways. Whether you're an
experienced musician or just starting out, the creative process often feels
elusive and hard to fully understand. But there are also certain moments:
creative sparks that can't be planned or programmed. It ends up being more
than notes, gear, or structure, it's about the process, the tension and
energy that builds when people connect and create in the same room. The title
track, Unknown Waveforms, captures that exact process. It opens with a quote
from synth pioneer Wendy Carlos: "I'm just trying to show you how we get
some of these sounds", inviting listeners directly into the creative
space. The track focuses less on a polished outcome and more on the moment
before a song is "finished": it's a portrait of experimentation,
feeling, and raw expression. This commitment to honesty permeates the entire
album. KAU kept overdubs to a minimum, avoided excessive editing, and prioritized
spontaneous choices over calculated ones. In a time when the future of live,
improvised music feels uncertain, they double down on the physical, the real,
and the immediate. The album resists the pristine polish of modern
production, favoring the warmth and imperfection of analog synthesis. The
band embraces the character of their instruments, particularly vintage gear,
where subtle flaws add beauty, depth, and personality. One standout track,
cr_eye, is driven by the Moog Subphatty-a key instrument in the band's
toolkit for its analog warmth and powerful sub-bass. The track centers around
the conversation between bass and drums, allowing the keyboards to recede and
create space. It draws emotional threads from earlier KAU tracks like Kampala
and Kautokeino, bridging past and present with a shared atmosphere and
rhythmic interplay. Another highlight, Stratford, finds inspiration in
London's transport system and the UK jazz scene that has long influenced KAU.
A field recording snippet of the London Underground kicks off the track,
connecting it to the rhythm of everyday commutes. Built around a hypnotic
sequencer line from the Roland JX-3P, the track evokes the motion of a metro
journey. Artists like Nubya Garcia, Yussef Dayes, and Alfa Mist, giants of
the scenethat the band has admired for years, resonate subtly throughout.
Above all, Unknown Waveforms is a statement of intent from KAU: a celebration
of imperfection, creative honesty and an insight in the process |

Two years after a debut EP that
left a strong mark and defined his raw, distinctive sound, DJ Physical
returns with Guess Who's Back, a powerful new chapter in his sonic journey on
Molekul. This second EP is a bold and hybrid project, blending high impact
influences from Techno, Rave, Breakbeat, UK Garage and Brazilian Phonk into a
style that's both unapologetically wild and deeply authentic. Comprising five
explosive tracks, including a standout collaboration with rising artist
Thelma, Guess Who's Back is as much a statement of intent as it is a natural
evolution of DJ Physical's artistic identity. It's built for the club, full
of energy, attitude, and unmistakable character |

A Walking Contradiction
resurfaces with a new release by their friend & collaborator Katatonic
Silentio, channeling a collection of tracks submerged in echoes and
pressure-shaped pulses. AWC011 traces fluid architectures built from delay,
decay, and deep resonance--each composition unfolding like sediment in
motion. Sounds sway with tidal pull, suspended in chambers where space
thickens and time refracts. Basslines emerge like sonar beneath shifting
layers, while percussive elements flicker at the edges, softened by current
and drag. Elastic and disorientated, these underwater constructions are tuned
to the language of depth and dissolution |

Presented in a gatefold sleeve with 12-page booklet of band
photos and flyers. Starting up in the mid-80's DEATH SIDE, together with LIP
CREAM, bridged the first and third wave of Japanese hardcore punk. Bringing
to the stage new influences, and the brooding Japanese hardcore sound. By
making something totally fresh, they forged the trademark sound most people
think of when thinking of traditional Japanese hardcore. Their extremely
fierce aesthetic, sound and attitude gained them a nearly mythical status.
The official reissue of Tokyo's DEATH SIDE non-LP output. 40 tracks
collecting Satisfy The Instinct 7" (1988), The Will Never Die 7"
(1994) and All Is Here Now 7" (1994). Their compilation tracks from

One More Megabyte is the ninth
studio album by English punk rock band Toy Dolls, packed with their signature
humor and high-energy punk rock. Embracing the rise of computers, the album
blends witty social commentary with themes of love, eccentric characters, and
playful jabs at pop culture. Featuring several covers, including The
Proclaimers' I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), and punctuated by comedic skits, it's
a must-have for fans of fast, fun, and unapologetically quirky punk |

(CDM) We’re beyond excited to announce the release of a maxi CD
single (yes, you read that right!) from the 90s Belgian dance act Atlantis 6.
Their unreleased 1999 track “The Way” is finally seeing the light of day –
and it’s an absolute time capsule of late-90s Eurodance/trance perfection.
This is not just a digital drop – we’re going full retro with an actual
physical CD single, the kind that instantly teleports you back to your youth.
Alongside the original Radio Edit, the single includes a banging Extended Mix
and two brand-new remixes that bring fresh energy: the Retro Belgica Remix
will let you jump and the 2025 Remix is a more up-to-date version. We
couldn’t let a track this good stay in the vault. It’s time for “The Way” to
finally be heard! |

A1
- Course Of Action: Opening the EP with a thoroughly entertaining, unique
breakbeat workout of the ilk we've come to appreciate from Eusebeia, we are
treated to sharp snares ripping into the mix backed by a lethal apache break
dripping with old school appeal. An ever-evolving atmosphere is guided by
intense vocal samples and shimmering synth backdrops, interspersed with
intense melodies and darkly effects to complete a mesmerising collage of
sound. A2 - Embracing Imperfection: Next up we see Embracing Imperfection, a
sci-fi inspired track littered with a detailed myriad of synthwave-esque
melodies, transporting you to an ethereal episode of the X Files as Eusebeia
flexes atmosphere and breaks intertwined with synths and whooshing FX. The
breaks are superbly effective as ever with distinctive cymbal hits and echoed
samples adding flecks of detail to an impressive composition. AA1 - Point Of
Isolation: A tense introduction punctuated by a reverberating melody evoking
enigmatic mystery slowly unfolds, as Point of Isolation displays Eusebeia's
diverse repertoire of breakbeat editing techniques. Darting metallic snares
and deep kicks & basslines ebb and flow, a tangled maze of rippling
energy lifted straight from the soul. This track is equally suited to the
headphones and the dancefloor, causing ructions to both. AA2 - Soul
Searching: Closing the EP, Soul Searching sees Eusebeia release a gradually
enveloping system of seductive breakbeats, twisting and intertwining with a
whole host of vivid soundscapes delivered through pulsing synthwork and
jostling micro-melodies. Throughout the track, the distinctively thick breaks
are the true star of the show, encompassing the sensibilities of Spatial
perfectly. Until the next time. Words by Chris Hayes (Spatial / Red Mist) |

The
twenty fourth transmission from RYC comes courtesy of not one, but two
artists we greatly admire. Joining forces on a split truly like no other,
Japanese maestro Wata Igarashi and Munich's own multi-faceted genius
Polygonia step up with the magnetic 'Cross Passage' - a four-track journey at
the junction of their respective universes, teleporting us straight to a
propulsive, mind-expanding headspace as we're invited to explore sonic
territories still uncharted and harmonics yet unravelled. The collaborative
A-side begins with the dynamic title-track, 'Cross Passage', a proactively
future-facing number packing the kind of utopian drive that used to define
the original techno sound. A highly cinematic narrative boasting
Detroit-style vision and epic breath, 'Cross Passage' builds bridges between
hi-tech elation and organic integration, transcending mere functionality to
push back and expand the limits of techno as a deep communication vessel
between the individual and the mass. Firing off like a binary script gone
astray, 'Fibre Axis' takes us on a further bumpy ride across shape-shifting
interfaces and blurred-out digital scapes, via abrupt pixel landslides and
fractured 3D renderings. Side-B finds each producer dishing out a slice of
his/her own musical idiom. Polygonia strikes first with the pulsating
'Voltage Blues' - a mesmeric roller cut from pure eerie synth algebra,
boundary-pushing abstraction and surgical but experimental-leaning rhythmic
assault. The result is a piece of cutting-edge techno hoodoo, ready to take
on clubs with utmost abrasive swagger. Sniping a hail of rainbow-like
analogue synth outpour, Wata Igarashi's solo contribution 'The Tunnel Dreams'
rounds off the journey on a fiercely nonconformist note. Merging a
hard-hitting main swing with 8-bit-esque audio pointillism and brooding bass
undertones, the Japanese producer cuts a path of antigravitational abandon
and relentless rush towards absolving euphoria, which shall leave all in the
room levitating somewhere between sheer daze and love-thirsty XTC. *Clad in
the sleekest cover art courtesy of designer Atact, RYCL024 is pressed to red
& white marbled vinyl for you, fancy platter collectors and picky
audio-visual aesthetes alike |

Back in 2020 we released the original of ‘Oliver Dollar &
ADMN feat. Mr. V - Sanctuary’ on Industry Standard. The original is a sublime
track with a nod to a vintage deep house sound. ’Sanctuary’ features Mr. V’s
spoken word vocal over a slick rhythm section, lush chords stabs, and
ethereal synth pads. Fast forward to 2025 and we are delivering a vinyl
release featuring the original mix, and 2 new remixes from France’s DJ W!ld,
and Detroit’s Bendersnatch. DJ W!ld comes with a deep, rolling take on the
track, with a low slung baseline, and trippy breakdown that will wig out the
dance floor. Bendersnatch take their version into trackier territory with a
heavy kick, stripped back vibe and FX on the vocals that give this version
another dimension to the package |

floor-filler decades later. Now, Charlotte De Witte delivers a stunning
rework as a heartfelt tribute to one of her all-time favorites — with the
original mix included on this release. Charlotte de Witte’s standout
performances across continents - including being the first techno (and
female) DJ to headline the mainstage at Tomorrowland - Mixmag and DJ Mag
covers, high-ranking positions in the charts and lists confirm her status as
nouveaux techno royalty |

The
sixth vinyl release from Goodbye Royalty, titled "No Script," is a
vivid embodiment of multifaceted creativity. The album is filled with
conceptual experiments that reflect the artist's years of experience. The
genre palette, ranging from minimalism to Electro-Breaks, will surprise both
seasoned diggers and casual audiophiles, offering a unique musical journey.
The title track "No Script" is infused with an atmosphere of
universality and depth. Acusmouse creates a ritualistic immersion, a
whirlwind that draws the listener into the depths of consciousness. The
contours of percussive spaces are repeatedly revealed from new angles. Music
becomes more than just a collection of sounds; it transforms into a genuine
experience that leaves a mark on the soul. "Alfa" by Interpolarm
embodies mysterious and simultaneously mystical imagery, where the main
strength lies in harmony and balance between rational canvases. The fresh
dance form and recognizable sound of the duo provide a better perspective on
their evolution from early Minimal Techno with Acid House to romantic Micro
House, where the collective liberates itself from heavy energies. On the B
side, Information Ghetto takes the lead. Through an equal blend of
psychedelia and humor, the artist creates a cohesive concept for fans of
broken rhythm based on two tracks. The formula is simple: a mix of trip-hop,
electro, and breaks, analog synthesizers, and soft bass that brings dusty
mechanisms of the eternal engine to life. The graphic design has been
developed by the unique artistic collective Recycle group. Vinyl owners can
expect a true surprise-a secret message that can be revealed by focusing a
smartphone camera at the main image of the apple. This serves as an additional
portal into the world of the future. Just install the Recycle Group APP on
your device beforehand |

Originally
released in September 2024 we continue the re-release of Clark’s recent
catalogue with the chance to get some limited vinyl versions of ‘In Camera’.
Since his first composition credit in 2016 with The Last Panthers (Warp)
Clark has built a reputation for expanding film and TV scores into intricate,
exhilarating soundworlds of their own. Here Clark has expanded his score for
Naqqash Khalid’s award-winning debut feature ‘In Camera’ stretching out the
film’s surreal ‘modern fairy tale’ atmosphere with reversed vocals and gauzy
synthpop-esque chords. Of the recording process Clark says: “Using my vocals
but abstracted in a way that totally matched the film was the most unique
challenge. I was going to just include the cues but got far too into recording
new stuff that fitted the tone and emotion of the film. The record has a very
distinct colour/ feel. It’s drenched in muted joy/ dark euphoria”. This
includes a gnarly cover of the Carpenters’ ‘Superstar’ that burns closer to
the frazzled Sonic Youth version |

With
the Scratch EP, Scottish techno powerhouse Gary Beck delivers four
razor-sharp cuts that bring raw energy and dancefloor pressure to FJAAK's
label CROWD. Known for his unmistakable grooves and stripped-down power, Beck
presents a no-frills EP that bridges classic techno aesthetics with forward
momentum. Opening with the single 'French System', the EP kicks off in full
throttle. It's a propulsive roller built around tough drums, catchy synths, a
female vocal leading the way and Beck's signature percussive tension. Title
track 'Scratch' follows with a twitchy, angular rhythm that spirals around a
fragmented vocal motif and bold machine-funk energy with tense breaks leading
to ecstatic drops. On the record's flip side, 'How Do You Feel' keeps the level
high, fusing jacking rhythms with a funky vocal and a Beck's heavy signature
kicks. Finally, 'Eclipse' closes the EP pushing the energy into darker
territories with relentless drive, its distorted pulse and industrial edge.
This release marks a fierce debut on CROWD for Gary Beck - four no-nonsense
weapons crafted for peak-time moments and the rawer corners of the club. A
heavy-hitting addition to the label's catalog and a must-have for techno
selectors with a taste for precision and punch |

Wie
in het voorjaar van 2025 het voorrecht had om de theatertour van Het Zesde
Metaal bij te wonen, kon daar op de koop toe genieten van een handvol
gloednieuwe songs. En daarna vaststellen dat die helaas nergens te
(her)beluisteren waren.
zou
j'ons geen tiene willen geven? / asteblieft, want anders is den directeur
vies.'
LIVE: 2 oktober 2025 : CC

Brussels-based
guitarist Benjamin Sauzereau is one of the most respected figures in Belgian
jazz, working across the full spectrum-from elegant jazz to adventurous
improvisation. You may know him from projects such as Les Chroniques de
l'Inutile, Hendrik Lasure Warm Bad, Book of Air, and Fur. Over the past few
years, he has written a large number of compositions under the umbrella of
'REMORQUE', performed in various line-ups-a concept somewhat reminiscent of
John Zorn's Masada compositions. These pieces share a clever and imaginative
approach to composition, improvisation, and arrangement. Typically short but
vibrant, they shimmer with color and atmosphere-sometimes lyrical and
contemplative, other times playful, whimsical, or slightly prickly. Each piece
opens up a small, self-contained universe full of nuance, refinement, and
space, interpreted by musicians who navigate fluidly between classical
discipline and free improvisation. Following the first release Un on W.E.R.F.
Records, Sauzereau now presents the highly anticipated follow-up: DEUX. This
second chapter dives even deeper into the sonic world of REMORQUE-further
refining its playful contrasts, rich textures, and poetic unpredictability.
With DEUX, Sauzereau cements his reputation as a composer who continuously
reshapes the boundaries between structure and freedom, offering a listening
experience that is as intimate as it is exploratory |

For the 33rd release of the Acid Avengers series, we invited two
projects made by four veterans of the french electronic scene. Fondzyo, a new
duo composed of John Lord Fonda and Kazyo (half of Teenage Bad Girl), is
delivering here its first release. Nomenklatur, the pair formed by the
founders of Elektrofon, is already known for bomb releases on Module, Space
Factory and their own imprint. On this new split EP, both projects offer a
303 journey made with mental groove, deep rythms and of course some pure acid
techno. 5 tracks designed for the floor that are gonna kick your ass! |

A vault of deep pressure unlocked - The Hidden Files collects a
set of heavyweight VIPs from The Untouchables, each a reimagined version
ofpast dread-infused cuts. Typically crafted for - and reserved within -
theirown DJ sets, these alternate versions are now unearthed for wider
transmission. Stripped back, rebuilt, and submerged in new layers of
sub-weight, they explore a more introspective energy. Tension, restraint, and
meditative pressure - the Brussels duo reveals hidden forms with signature

Originally released in 2012, the
third album by John Foxx and the Maths is a collaborative, synth-laced affair
that draws on darkwave, analogue pop and post-punk. The title track features
The Soft Moon, while Gazelle Twin contributes to the haunting 'Changelings'.
Other guests include New York minimal synth duo Xeno & Oaklander and
Matthew Dear of Ghostly International, with a rare Pink Floyd cover adding
further texture. Long-time collaborator Benge returns alongside regular live
band member Hannah Peel, whose violin graces 'My Town'. Highlights include
the lush, analogue warmth of 'Walk' and the bleak beauty of 'Only Lovers Left
Alive' |

/ Naeem / Banding DETOUR002 opens with Naeem’s Banding, which aligns with his
proclivity for acid-infused house, featuring heavy, staccato low ends and
complex layers of analog drums and interwoven hi-hats. It’s a darker, gritty
house cut with drizzled synth melodies on top of a stomping warehouse bass
kick. A2 / Naeem / B915 B915 is similar to Banding in its quick attacks and
truncated drum samples, however it presents more of a contrast in its
reverberating synth tropes. The melodies rise and fall over what is otherwise
a fairly straightforward bass line, becoming rhythmically more complex at the
track’s three-minute peak. Futuristic tribal sounds over a loose thumping
groove, this is acid tool house that’s perfect for peak hours. B1 / Gusto /
Breaker The B-side of 002 features two tracks by Gusto that represents a
departure from the A-side’s Chicago house inclinations. Breaker and B2
Sideswipe perpetuate the use of Naeem’s synths but hover instead over a
forward-driving techno beat. This big-room track naturally swells in melody
and bass, recalling the soulful Pittsburgh Track Authority feature on
DETOUR001 with swelling chords, tight 808 kicks, and a scampering bassline.
B2 / Gusto / Sideswipe Gusto propels 002 to an intense crest in Sideswipe;
the track is the heaviest on the album and the most analogous to conventional
techno, immediately launching into powerful bass and angst-ridden alarms |

Smart
Bar resident Olin takes the sound he developed on his releases with Argot and
God Particle and offers fresh dimensionality to Pittsburgh's Detour's
discography. His tracks are informed in part by his residency at Smart Bar
and borrow elements from a range of electronic music genres, resulting in a
funky, acid-infused, and incredibly danceable release. A1 / Bring Back That
Feeling is driven by its concise instrumentation, opening with a sharp, acid
bass line, bright hi-hats, and syncopated rhythms. At the three-minute mark,
a simple synth propels the track to a higher intensity. The track skirts
along the darker side of house, and is guaranteed to get dance floors moving.
A2 / Out Alone features a playful melody and crisp claps. A more whimsical complement
to A1, Out Alone is a pulsating, dance floor focused jam. The track
incorporates aspects of house and techno into wavering arpeggios that add an
incessant groove. B1 / Locked possesses sophisticated rhythmic interplay and
full layers of bass. The instrumentation is the track's strength: shrouds of
deep, acidic synth make Locked ideal for peak time, or great as a warm-up
house tool. B2 / Press closes out the EP, and is a Panorama Bar house track
to its core. B2 is light with a delicate melody line, and the sound design is
reminiscent of disco or funk. It's a satisfying end to an acid-infused EP
that is soulful and playful |

Our
next record comes courtesy of SEER, a new Brooklyn-based project from Maroje
T and M Parent. Maroje’s previous handiwork includes streamlined acid techno
on boutique label Chem Club and down ‘n dirty electro for Dutch weirdos
Pinkman; meanwhile, M Parent’s first 12, also on Chem Club, is dubby,
driving, and psychedelic. Together as SEER, they’ve threaded a needle in
between their respective styles and sounds, coming up with something
altogether different. Their debut record throws a little bit of everything
into the mix: chopped-up breakbeats, post-industrial moods, syrupy mid-tempo
electro, and spectral, futuristic synths all feature across its four tracks.
Each charts a different path; same-ol’ cookie-cutter techno this record is
most certainly not. Freak Machine, the record’s opener, is more staid than
you might imagine given its title, but its recomposed breaks and vigorous
electro rhythms will energize a dancefloor. The Phenomenon Manifests brings
crunchy beats to the fore, balancing heavy percussion with ghastly synth
work. Hesitant Fingers brings the pitch well down, offering up delightful
EBM-flavored chug. Last but certainly not least is Circles, a syncopated
techno jam that finishes off the record on a minor-key (yet plaintively
uplifting) note |

DETOUR
celebratew 10 years as a label with a double LP of the locally sourced,
grassroots techno that’s been their raison d’etre since 2014. DTR-007 is a
coming together of DETOUR members, long-time associates, rising local artists
and members of the ever-expanding global Pittsburgh diaspora. The result is a
true reflection of the DETOUR ethos; a selection of ten expertly-curated
tracks that is more than the sum of its parts; an homage to the city, its
producers, DJs, dancers and the outsized influence they’ve had on the global
techno underground. DTR-007 ‘s ode to Pittsburgh electronics spans
generations and genres. Booming maximalism from local originator Shawn
Rudiman sits beside ace outings from already-accomplished next-gen producers
Gladstone Deluxe, Davis Galvin, and Torvvo. After a spree of recent releases
on Dark Entries and her own Jacktone imprint, Doc Sleep returns to the label
for the first time since her 2016 debut EP with a slice of resonant deep
house. Hot Mass co-founder Paul Fleetwood and perennial multidisciplinary
favs, slowdanger appear on wax for the first time with levitating cuts of
late-night hypnosis. Longtime modular enthusiast Nick Breinich commits a slab
of true-school Midwest acid techno while DETOUR co-founders Naeem and Gusto
each contribute tracks in signature styles. Naeem’s soaring electro melodics
bring the compilation to an emotional peak before Gusto sends it off with an
underwater broken beat chiller. The end product is an exhibition of steaming,
sometimes-storming, always-deep heat calibrated precisely for your dance
floor’s moodier moments |

DJ
Europarking ups the dose on his next EP for UFO Inc., with four new lively
hits of rave madness. Now a regular on both BPitch and UFO Inc., the
Dutchman's irreverent productions flow between precision and chaos to create
high spirits on any soundsystem. Familiar structures collide with off-kilter
rhythms, playfully merging improvisation and engineering. Technically refined
music with a winking eye; this one's for the heads who like to let the wheels
fall off. Opener and title track leans into a bouncy groove that quickly
spirals into something weirder, with flecks of acid trickling down a window
looking into a steamy dancefloor. 'My Heroines' talks in tongues from the
jump, setting a rhythmic pace for razor-sharp breaks and pitched-up vocals
that ride a maxed-out bassline through cavernous warehouses. 'KUN JIJ DE
RITME VOELEN' injects life into hardware, letting each drum machine bounce on
its own accord underneath euphoric vocal cries. Rounding things off, 'DEX'
brings a swift shuffle into the percussion, taking fragments of classic
Chicago house and filtering them through a stranger lens. Both acid-tinged
and vividly clear, the Dutchman's dancefloor chaos never sounded so precise |

artist CASSIMM returns to Rekids with ‘I’ll Take You There’, landing 26th
September 2025. It follows his recent remixes for label boss Radio Slave and
his 2024 ‘House of Moves’ EP on the imprint, which won support from the likes
of Paul Woolford, Dam Swindle, Hannah Holland, and Laurent Garnier. CASSIMM’s
'I’ll Take You There' is a chunky House cut with powerful bass and rolling
drums, joined by ?lters which build the vibe while a diva vocal rings out
with raw emotion. It's a perfect mix of gritty production and infectious
rhythm that lights up the ?oor with pure underground credentials, while the
club mix of ‘I’ll Take You There’ hypnotises with a loopy feel and toughed-up
groove. Over the last decade, CASSIMM has amassed a massive following via a
slew of chart-topping releases on labels like Defected, King Street, and
Rekids. His best-selling, party-ready, and radio-friendly music earns
consistent support across the globe, backed by BBC Radio 1 and artists like

French
talent Hyden makes label debut on Mutual Rytm with conceptual new techno EP,
'To Whom It May Concern'. Hyden is a potent force in the French underground,
creating powerful techno with dense percussion, immersive grooves and subtle
nods to classic influences - all through his own unique lens. Having
delivered standout releases in recent years, here he offers up sounds
"anchored in psychoanalysis, time, and emotional residue" as he
makes his mark on SHDW's Mutual Rytm imprint, delivering influences of dream
logic and surrealism as the palette moves between brutality and
introspection. "It's hypnotic music for moments of rupture where
something breaks or breaks through". Opener 'Manifest Content' is
inspired by Freudian theory and explores the surface illusions of thought and
dream. It's about the dissonance between what we perceive and the deeper
meaning that slips away beneath and is a deep and dubby techno track with
flashes of unsettling melody. 'Bruises' is emotional trauma made sonic. This
piece delves into invisible scars and traumas, residues of past conflict or
intimacy - it's slow-burning, heavy and raw. 'Jikan' is a meditation built on
time and its erosion. Inspired by the Japanese concept of impermanence, it
reflects fleeting moments, decay and the tension between stillness and motion
with jacked up but warm drums and turbulent bass. Next, 'Free Will' is born
from inner conflict and plays with deterministic rhythms and evolving layers,
questioning whether we are truly in control or just passengers in a
prewritten sequence. The vocal mentions, "creatures, you're out of
time" to bring darkness to the intense but sleek rhythms. The
streamlined physicality of 'Swarm' channels the primal force of collective movement
and is a nod to the loss of individuality in group behaviour. In addition,
the package is loaded with digital bonus cuts. 'Yumehara' is a dive into
surreal dream-states and evokes subconscious landscapes where logic dissolves
and emotion reigns, while 'Lu Bu' is brutal and warlike and named after the
legendary Chinese general that captures impulsive violence, betrayal and
reckless glory with relentless energy and rhythm. Lastly, 'Neon Pale' is a
synthetic dreamscape about fading beauty under artificial light - a
melancholy ode to cities at night and the loss of warmth in modern life.
Hyden 'To Whom It May Concern' lands on Mutual Rytm on 19th September 2025 |
