This 1978 release is a real mixed
bag that displays the contrasting extremes of Waits' muse at the time. The
album is bookended by a widescreen orchestral version of Bernstein's standard
Somewhere, and the smoky jazz guitar of the understated title track. In
between there's the tragicomic Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis
and the raucous r'n'b of Whistlin- Past the Graveyard. Kentucky Avenue is the
obligatory killer tearjerker |

After their 2022 LP 'Twelve Hymns
To Syng Along', cult songwriter Mark ten Hoor, bass giant Peter Kroes, and
drumming king of tape-hiss Arjan Spies - aka THE KRYNG - did what they do
best: record more tunes at Studio Teepdek. They laid down 14 originals for
yéyé diva FLEUR's third album `Fille Sauvage' and its two lead singles,
earning praise from Shindig! Magazine for bringing Fleur's sound "firmly
into the garage." The collaboration resulted in what many call her best
album yet. Living up to their "hardest working band in
showbusiness" status (according to James Brown), they wasted no time
recording 'Sweet Vibration', their 7th album. Perhaps their most eclectic
work yet, it ranges from the raunchy, bongo-driven opener `Ain't No Dancer'
to the sweet, breathy closer `Oh, I Love You' - and plenty in between |

On a cold day in late 1985 the
Housemartins arrived in Carlisle to play a gig at the 'Stars & Stripes'
venue, while touring in promotion of their debut single "Flag Day".
The release of the full album London 0 Hull 4, and the success that followed,
was miles away. With exceptional sound quality and a cracking performance, it
features the original four-piece lineup of Paul Heaton, Stan Cullimore, Ted
Key and Hugh Whitaker |

This amazing collection showcase
the dark side of the Los Angeles band led by Darby Crash. The 1st side enlist
the original Cruising sessions (for the cult movie directed by William
Friedkin) produced by Jack Nitzsche, with the exception of Caught In My Eye
(engineered by Joan Jett) and Round And Round (Chris Ashford). The 2nd side
is partly taken from their last show at the infamous Starwood - in West
Hollywood - on the 3rd December of 1980 |

Originally emerging from the Ohio
garage scene as Jerry and the Others, The Elders released their sole album in
1971 - a surprising mix of soul-infused rock, funk rhythms, wah-wah guitars,
and psych flourishes. Despite the ominous skull-and-book cover art, this
isn't heavy Sabbath-style riffing, but rather a vibrant, danceable sound
closer to Sly & The Family Stone, Rare Earth, and early Hendrix. Rooted
more in the late '60s than the early '70s, their groove-heavy, genre-blending
approach feels both raw and infectious. A true sleeper gem worth digging up |

Louis Lingg and the Bombs are
goddamn punk-rock-garage-pop-anarcho saviours of the 2 and half minute pop
song. They come from Paris where they regularly blow up little bars with
explosions of snot and beer fuelled punk rock energy. The group is named after
Louis Lingg, the famous Chicago anarchist who committed suicide on death row
in 1887. Some of their songs are ultra-political anarchist punk rock and some
of their songs are like children's nursery rhymes. ALL of their song's are
full of interesting pop hooks and melodies and they are sung with energy and
commitment. Their influences: Punk bands like The Briefs, The Epoxies,
Antiflag, Pansy Division and The Dickies. They have a strong love of '77
style punk like The Buzzcocks, The Clash, The Adverts and The Undertones |

Color vinyl. Originally released
in 1992 on Recess Records, now back on vinyl for the first time since its
original run. Led by Todd Congelliere (Toys That Kill, Underground Railroad

ultra-catchy punk rock that helped define the Recess sound. Fast, bratty, and
unmistakably DIY - a true staple of early '90s West Coast punk. Essential

Following
Volume 1, this second instalment of Classic’s 30th Anniversary series dives
even deeper into the label’s visionary, genre-bending catalogue—balancing
pioneering remixes, cult favourites, and future classics. Once again, this
2x12” release is beautifully presented in a raw reverse board sleeve, a
tactile nod to Classic’s earliest releases. Inside, are deep teal and green
GMUND card stock inner sleeves with embossed detailing elevate the package
into a collector’s item worthy of the music it holds. Record One opens with
one of the most revered remixes in house history. Isolee’s ‘Beau Mot Plage’
(Freeform Reform Parts 1 & 2), originally licensed from Germany’s
Playhouse and lovingly reworked by Freeform Five’s Anu Pillai with a live
ensemble. It’s a sprawling, euphoric journey that helped define Classic’s
international reach and is still widely regarded as one of the greatest house
records ever pressed. Up next is Greenskeepers’ off-kilter banger ‘Bang in
Your Face?’, showcasing the quirky, ‘G-swing’ sound for which James Curd and
his crew became known for during their long-standing relationship with the
label. On the flip, Pépé Bradock’s jaw-dropping rework of Iz & Diz’s
‘Mouth’ takes center stage—a remix composed entirely from human sounds, equal
parts sensual and surreal. Universally praised, it’s a masterclass in sonic
innovation and remains one of the most acclaimed house remixes of all time.
The side closes with Markus Nikolai’s beloved ‘Bushes’, The First Re-Creation
(Version 1.2) by Classic co founder Derrick Carter—a distinctive and
maximalist edit that draws out the Latin horns, strings, and quirky vocals,
turning a cult hit into a distinctly ‘Classic’ anthem. Record Two captures
Classic’s renewed energy in the 2010s.? Folamour’s ‘Devoted To U’ from his
Umami LP is a 10-minute odyssey in groove—warm, progressive, and cinematic,
with soaring piano lines and narrative richness. Then comes Crazy P’s ‘One
True Light’, shimmering with spacey textures, cosmic energy, and the deep,
effortless groove the band has perfected over decades. On Side D, we have
Girls of the Internet’s lush and emotionally rich ‘When U Go’, blending
soulful vocals with clean, spacious production that balances melancholy with
movement. Closing out Volume 2 is Sophie Lloyd’s now iconic ‘Calling Out’,
featuring the unstoppable vocal force of Dames Brown. A modern
gospel-disco-house anthem, the track glows with raw energy, live
instrumentation, and spiritual fire—cementing its place as one of Classic’s
defining moments of the last decade |

Terence
Fixmer Reissues Two Cult Techno Anthems on Red 10 inch Vinyl Techno pioneer
Terence Fixmer re-releases two of his most iconic tracks - Electrostatic and
Electric Vision - now remastered for a more contemporary and powerful sound,
and pressed on a limited edition 10 inch red vinyl. Originally released on
Gigolo Records in the late 90s and early 2000s, both tracks quickly became
underground anthems. Played by legendary DJs such as Dave Clarke, Sven Vath,
and many others, they were also named Tracks of the Year by renowned techno
publications like Groove magazine. With these two groundbreaking cuts,
Terence Fixmer helped open a bold new chapter in the history of techno -
giving birth to Techno Body Music (TBM), a genre blending the raw, industrial
force of EBM with the driving energy of techno. Electrostatic, in particular,
is considered a foundational track of this hybrid style. Now regarded as true
techno classics, Electrostatic and Electric Vision have stood the test of
time and are still played regularly by DJs worldwide, continuing to energize
dancefloors decades after their release. This is the first official repress
in over 20 years, and the first time these two cult tracks appear together on
one record - sharper, louder, and more essential than ever. Remastered by

The second volume of Elementa
Obscura moves with even greater force toward the dancefloor: six tracks
straddling the lines between industrial, electro, and wave. From FIUMEs cold,
pounding opener to Memorexs spacious analog explorations, Nyxloids metallic
EBM visions, and Ole Mic Odds razor-edged electro workout, the compilation
spans the full spectrum of the underground. Spanish newcomer Thai Lady Boy
brings chaos with a fractured industrial techno cut, while RNXRX closes with
a ritualistic music excursion. Strictly limited to 250 copies, vinyl-only. No

NOFX's fourteenth full-length
studio album, Single Album comes complete with a six-minute post-hardcore
opener, a meta send-off for the band's best-known song, and even a piano
ballad. Recorded at San Francisco's Motor Studios with Bill Stevenson and Jason
Livermore (Rise Against, Alkaline Trio, Teenage Bottlerocket), the 10-song
collection has been described as "unpredictable" and the band's
"most personal" to-date. "I wanted to make a perfect double
album, and I didn't accomplish that. So I decided to just make a single
album, hence the title," says Fat Mike. Move over Punk in Drublic,
there's a new sheriff in town! |

punks CLOWNS have never been ones to conform. The five-piece started life in
2010 as a more-or-less straightforward hardcore punk act, but over the course
of their first three albums they have steadily evolved and mutated their
sound in whatever direction they felt like. It has always been loud but has
become more nuanced over the years. Nature / Nurture continues down this
snaking path - its 11 songs swerving right and left abruptly, veering from
frenetic punk to slower more psychedelic-tinged rock, all while remaining a
cohesive amalgamation of their three previous albums. This is punk rock with
a difference, that uses traditional facets of that genre as a foundation, but
then builds upon that to create something thats both utterly unique and
incredibly exciting. That coupled with their intricate musicianship, clever,
incisive lyrics and their phenomenally high energy live shows CLOWNS are
quickly becoming a crowd favorite around the globe. For fans of: Rise
Against, The Bronx, Frenzal Rhomb, PEARS, Riverboat Gamblers |

Wah
Wah 45s present the long awaited new album from Afro-dub masters,
Soothsayers, entitled Fly Higher. With a history that goes back three
decades, having released two classic LPs (Tradition and We Are Many) and
numerous EPs and remixes on the imprint, the band deliver possibly their
finest body of work to date. Soothsayers' twelfth studio album will be
released on vinyl only (and via Bandcamp) in September this year -
twenty-five years since they unleashed their debut LP, Lost City. The album
features the very essence of the band - the vital ingredients that have been
part of their sound since the outset, incorporating the diaspora, family and
community that they have built along their journey. Fly Higher blends
Afrobeat, soul, jazz and dub grooves and is packed with uplifting, ear-worm
melodies delivered via stirring three-part harmonies, horn hooks and
mesmerising basslines. The sound is typically organic and warm, and showcases
Soothsayers' original songwriting style, which in turn pays respect to a
variety of influences, but avoids cliche and predictability. The opening, and
title track rocks a pumping Afrobeat bounce with growling catchy horns,
touches of jazz improvisation, and call & response vocals. Soothsayers'
chorus lines are answered by soaring British Nigerian songstress Lizzy
Donsumu and former Fela Kuti keyboardist Dele Sosimi - long time friends and
collaborators with the band. Fly Higher is a simple message that reminds us
that we can control our own mindset, strive for goodness, be in the moment
and fly way above the low level rhetoric that holds back progress. Love Is
Still The Answer explores the fact that although the world feels more divided
and chaotic than ever, in the heart of all of us we know that 'love is still
the answer'. It's a message that is delivered by beautifully warm
vocalisations, written and sung by Julia Biel over a deep, bass-heavy
Afro-soul groove. It's a sonically engaging invitation to dance, think and
feel. Meaning infinite in Bengali, Ashim is a deep instrumental track
showcasing the band's superb musicianship at its best - combining influences
from jazz with African rhythms and touches of dub production in a slow build
that reaches an intense and satisfying climactic chorus. Don't Be Silent is a
funky Afrobeat driven slab of protest music that reminds us that we have the
right to speak up for what we believe in, and to not fall victim to
intimidation or 'cancel culture'. Soothsayers' group vocal leads the way on
this one over a dynamic groove augmented by electronics and crowd voices from
the band's ongoing educational community music project, Youthsayers. Love
Will Find a Way features vocalists Maia Avery and Akin Soul, both former
members of Youthsayers. Mixed by Sao Paulo based producer Victor Rice, it's a
stirring reggae stepper with a strong, universal message. Maia and Akin's
distinctive voices blend and weave beautifully over a hypnotic groove . One
to satisfy your soul! Roots adds flavours of Jamaican icon Tommy McCook with
trumpet and sax interplay alongside feelgood vocal inspirations from Kodjovi
Kush, former Soothsayers bassist but evidently, still very much part of the
family. BJP (Big John Price) is another that is a testament to the goodness
of community. John kindly opens his doors at The Portico Gallery in South
London on a weekly basis to provide a physical base for the Youthsayers
project. BJP has a stomping Afro groove with jazz improvisations from Idris
Rahman and keyboardist Kishon Khan as well as welcoming a massive horn
section and added rhythm section in the shape of personnel from Youthsayers
themselves. A Piece of Gold reminds us that every human has something to
offer the world. Finding your passion or calling may not be easy, but there
is always a way. The lyrics are based on a Yoruba proverb , "A piece of
gold that wants to shine must pass through fire". Akin Soul delivers the
lead vocals supported by Soothsayers harmonies and horns. It's another
feel-good track with positivity at its heart. Music to lift the soul - sunny
and optimistic. You need this! Fly Higher closes with another stepping roots
track, Nothing We Could Do. With a reflective Soothsayers vocal, it provides
resolution and antidote to regret and self reproach. When things don't work
out, the best thing we can do is move on. Looking forward is the only way -
'the best is yet to come'. Soothsayers' new album, Fly Higher, will be
released on vinyl (and via Bandcamp) 19th September 2025 on Wah Wah 45s, with
a full digital release to follow in January 2026 |

Brown
Angel descends upon Dark Entries with Pure Brown Energy, an EP featuring 6
tracks of gloom-laced electro-funk and retro house. Pure Brown Energy was
born when San Francisco-based producer and Hard French collective member
Brown Angel was faced with a gift and a loss: an original Roland TR-808 was
given to them around the same time that their father passed away. To process
their grief, they set about making an album that showcased the many facets of
their being, in their words: “my gay
tío side, my Latin goth side, my cruising down the boulevard side, and most
of all my soft vulnerable side.” From slamming vogue/ballroom house to
cumbia-inflected freestyle, Pure Brown Energy channels club sounds both
contemporary and timeless, while centering the most eternal electronic
instrument of all: the TR-808. Opener “Miel” grooves with the effortlessness
of peak-era Masters at Work or vintage Kevin Saunderson, while “Dame Más”
dials up the energy even further. The influences of Miami bass and West Coast
electro shine through on “Maya” and “Love Me Right,” which pair razor-sharp
beats with a flurry of samples culled from Brown Angel’s record collection.
“PBE” and “En Movimiento” take the Planet Rock vibes to another level,
combining influences from contemporary cumbia and reggaeton sounds with Brown
Angel’s Latin goth flair. Each copy comes in a sleeve designed by Ricardo
Diseño featuring illustrations inspired by Teen Angels, a popular 1980’s Chicano
magazine. Pure Brown Energy brings a sense of urgency to the dancefloor,
unreluctantly examining the crossover between creation and loss, between
celebration and sorrow. But don’t forget: these cuts also slap |

temporary studio in a hallway of his house and while doing soundtracks for
films and series. In this edition singer Naiara Trivino takes a special spot
and sings in French, Spanish, and English and she features in the music video
made around this EP. This EP ranges from dramatic French synthwave ('Tes
Yeux'), touching the world of Kai's other project Cindy, to proto-techno
'Darker Days' (with Antenna) to dreamy breakbeat ('Your Eyes Are Empty').

Lilya
Mandre makes her Crosstown Rebels debut with her emotive three-tracker,
‘Exi(s)t’. Out on 10th October 2025, the Casablancan artist unveils two
originals, including a collaboration with Zac Martel and Jono McCleery,
backed by a remix from Haitian star Francis Mercier. Marking her first
appearance on Damian Lazarus’ iconic Crosstown Rebels imprint, Moroccan-born
artist Lilya Mandre steps into the spotlight with ‘Exi(s)t’. Landing on 10th
October, the EP pairs her expressive, melodic style with a striking vocal
feature from UK-based singer-songwriter Jono McCleery and a collaboration
with Montreal’s Zac Martel, completed by a stellar remix from Haitian
heavyweight Francis Mercier. An ascending name in the global electronic
sphere, Lilya Mandre channels her Casablanca roots into a sound that balances
deep, minimal-leaning grooves with raw emotional weight. Her magnetic
presence has already taken her to stages such as Hï Ibiza, where she joined
Crosstown head honcho Lazarus for his summer residency, plus the likes of
Moga Festival, La Clairière Paris, and Picnik Electronik, while recent
releases on Mind of A Genius, IN/ROTATION and Madorasindahouse continue to
position her as one of the scene’s most exciting breakthrough candidates.
With ‘Exi(s)t’, she brings this same captivating energy into the studio,
weaving powerful collaborations and evocative solo work into a release that
captures her artistry in full. Opening track ‘A Part Of Your Soul’, crafted
alongside. Canadian producer Zac Martel (Madorasindahouse), sees Lilya also
link up with acclaimed English singer-songwriter Jono McCleery (Ninja Tune),
whose delicate and soulful vocals glide over rich synth work and fluid
percussion to deliver a stirring and cinematic cut. Deep Roots founder
Francis Mercier then steps in on remix duties, injecting his signature blend
of worldly percussion and driving energy to transform the original into a
hypnotic, club-ready anthem. Closing the package, ‘Malou’ takes things deeper
as Lilya steps out solo, layering subtle melodies and textural
flourishes for a track that’s both restrained and emotionally resonant.
With its balance of expressive collaborations and immersive solo work,
‘Exi(s)t’ sets a compelling tone and brings an impressive debut to Crosstown
Rebels, showcasing her ability to craft moments that resonate both on the
dance floor and beyond |

fabric
presents salute features music from pioneers and contemporaries alike,
including Kerri Chandler, Bodhi, Dorian Concept, Junior Sanchez, Redhead and
more, alongside two originals from salute. More than a collection of tracks,
it’s a cultural statement: a journey through club culture, personal identity,
and global roots. To celebrate the release, salute will headline fabric’s
Room 2 on 10th October, joined by a handpicked lineup (TBA), bringing their
vision full circle from mix to dancefloor. Lead single ‘double luxury’ sets
the tone for the project, capturing salute’s signature blend of soulful
energy, deep groove, and euphoric release. Built on spacious low-end and an
undercurrent of euphoria, warped vocals twist through sleek, propulsive drums
to form a house cut that channels the emotional intensity and groove at the
heart of their sound. Arriving off the back of a huge summer, with standout
sets at Coachella, Glastonbury, a North American tour and All Points East,
‘double luxury’ provides a fitting entry into a milestone chapter for one of
the most vital voices in club culture. Salute says: “my contribution to the
fabric presents compilation series is my way of contextualising the music
i've been writing over the last couple of years. i wanted to include bits of
all the things that make up the salute sonic palette: loopy, sample based
house music, dense and soulful chords and beautiful synths, slick and groovy
drum work. it's an exercise in beautiful house and techno music, or my
definition of it anyway.” Launched in 2019, fabric presents has become one of
electronic music’s most respected mix platforms, with contributions from
Andrew Weatherall, Laurent Garnier, The Martinez Brothers, SHERELLE, Bonobo,
Overmono, Confidence Man, The Streets, and more. Rooted in the legacy of
fabric’s monthly CD mixes, the series now embraces a wider range of releases
across digital, CD, and vinyl, each paired with a performance at the iconic
London venue. With fabric presents: salute, they take their place in this
lineage, joining the dots between underground heritage and the future of club
culture. Vienna-born salute has become more than a producer: they are a
cultural innovator representing a club scene that is diverse, queer, and
community-driven. Since emerging as one of the UK’s most exciting electronic
voices, they have built a reputation for balancing raw emotion with
dancefloor ecstasy, weaving grime, UK garage, electro, French house, jazz,
gospel, R&B and hip hop into a singular, unmistakable vision. Their music
channels as much emotional resonance as physical release, tracks that turn
longing into euphoria, intimacy into collective celebration. This ability has
not only won over audiences worldwide but also earned praise from heavyweights
including Four Tet, DJ Seinfeld, Floating Points, Skrillex, Fred again..,
Annie Mac and Benji B. Their now-legendary Melbourne Boiler Room set, one of
the platform’s most-watched, further cemented salute’s reputation as a
defining force in the global underground. The release of their 2024 debut
album True Magic on Ninja Tune solidified salute as one of dance music’s most
vital voices, its success confirming what the underground had long known.
With fabric presents, they mark another milestone, bringing their curatorial
vision and boundary-pushing sound to one of electronic music’s most iconic
platforms |

Initially
founded in 2024 by Tantum, as an event series in Berlin, this new label will
be the home for the music of its core artists Tantum & Hyunji-A,
showcasing their music as well as hosting like-minded musicians. A platform
for artists that dare to think differently. Since our first release is so
special to us, we decided to press KML001 as a vinyl, with a special edit to
the tracklist exclusively for KMLV001. A1 / Keep My Letters: What better way
to start the label other than a very personal track that embodies our
connection through music. We wrote this track in 2024 as a closing track for
the first KML event where we hosted Guy J in Berlin. Originally written in
Montreal, we've managed to capture the magic in anticipation of something
new. Hyunji-A's intimate Korean lyrics describe what this project stands for.
We decided to keep it as close to the original sketch as possible - sometimes
things don't have to be complicated. A2 / Baires: Tantum's long sought-after
'Baires' will be part of KMLV001 as an exclusive gift to everyone supporting
the vinyl release. A trippy and progressive track that was made, as the name
suggests, in Buenos Aires. Capturing the vibrant feel of the city and the
WeAreLost tour that inspired this track. Play it from start to finish, this
record will make you move! B1 / Keep My Letters (Simon Vuarambon Remix):
Simon is a close friend of ours and we could not think of anyone better to
remix the title track for the label launch. He not only understands our
vision but also puts his talent to use, crafting a soulful melodic twist on
'Keep MyLetters'. We are proud to call Simon our friend. B2 / Mirror: This
track is like the dark, evil twin of the title track. It was our first actual
collab track, so of course it found its way on the debut EP . It's a proper
secret weapon on the dancefloor. Try it out for yourself if you dare |

Shining
lights in London’s queer electronic underground, prolific duo FAFF make their
debut on Phantasy with the ‘A Few Good Days’ EP, featuring three tracks
reverberating the smudged euphoria of the capital’s rave scene, both past and
present. Drawing equally on peak-time club catharsis and the emotive
experimentation of golden-era IDM and electro, these recordings meld the
pair’s diverse DJ sets and ambient live work, which has captivated festivals
including Draimollen, Field Maneuvers, and Body Movements. The title track,
‘A Few Good Days, ’ melds hypnotic percussion, snatches of vocal euphoria,
and a stuttering break for instant post-rave afterglow. Its wandering but
compelling arrangement subtly invokes and updates the pioneering aesthetic of
One Dove, Sabres of Paradise, or even William Orbit. The tempo tilts skywards
for ‘Tracy’s Night Out’, a peak-time display of FAFF’s studio prowess that
fuses choral techno drama with a shamelessly bouncing bassline designed to
tear up any respectable sound system. Emerging from the sweat and strobes for
a wide-eyed stroll home, ‘Tracy’s Daydream’ wishes away the EP with delicate,
textural delight, floating gently on pure analogue reverie |

Frankey
& Sandrino come back to Rekids with the ‘Please’ EP, landing 10th October
2025 alongside a remix from Echonomist. They follow their 2022 ‘Brainscan’ EP
on Radio Slave’s label, as well as a remix for Denney in 2023. With an
irresistible bassline, smooth melody, and a nostalgia-fuelled vocal, ‘Please’
is the kind of track you hear as you walk into a busy tent at a festival,
hands in the air, energy abundant. Frankey & Sandrino are masters at
crafting emotional dancefloor bangers, going a little deeper on the
progressive ‘Genie’, building up to busy stabs and mind-melting, futuristic
sound design. Completing the EP, the pair call in Greek DJ and producer
Echonomist to remix ‘Please’. The Innervisions and Exit Strategy artist
strips the original back, transforming it into a dark, hypnotic groover built
for smoke-lit dance floors. Frankey & Sandrino are a German duo
that has been shaping dance floors since 2009 with their distinct,
trend-defying sound. With releases on Kompakt, Diynamic, and their own Sum
Over Histories, and regular appearances at clubs like fabric and Stereo, they
now return to Rekids with the ‘Please’ EP.Founded in 2006, Radio Slave’s
Rekids has since launched the Techno-focused Rekids Special Projects in 2017
and its latest sublabel, REK’D, in 2024. With Matt Edwards as the sole
A&R, Rekids has been instrumental in developing emerging artists and
remains a trusted home for House and adjacent sounds, recently featuring
names such as Harry Romero, Tal Fussman, Tiger Striipes, William Kiss, Oliver
Dollar, The Hacker, and more |

Following
a wildly successful first release, Risk/Reward returns with an outstanding EP
from Bizarre Trax bossman and Felon5 member Jhobei, featuring a remix from UK
electro royalty Carl Finlow no less! Digitaria combines a groovy organ bass
with psychedelic synths and progressive elements, to create a
dancefloor-focused, trance-inducing bomb, guaranteed to get crowds of all
sizes moving. Trippy, hypnotic but always playful, the perfect track to bring
the energy up in the room. A monster bassline, punchy drums and dreamy pads
make Thinking Nodes a versatile tool, equally at home early in the night or
deep into the after hours. Classic UKG swing meets deep house, plus a
sprinkling of rave elements go into the recipe, making a tasty treat for DJs
and collectors alike. Beatagroove Funk see's Jhobei channel his inner Random
Factor, to create an Electro House ripper, with quirky vocals, glitchy
synths, a bassline straight out of a 80s new wave banger and enough drive in
the drums to make this a peak time weapon. Carl Finlow delivers an epic
masterpiece on the remix of Beatagroove Funk, creating a work of sheer beauty
that sounds like a blissful sunset cruise on a hover bike through a
futuristic metropolis. Unexplainably detailed and emotional, this is the work
of a true master of his craft and will surely go on to be recognized as some
of his very best work - simply unmissable! With heavy support from Tini,
Harry McCanna, Anna Wall, Rich NxT, Voigtmann and more, Jhobei's star seems
destined to keep rising, as Risk/Reward continues to establish itself as a

With
his first EP on Token, Phara conjures up four tracks detailing dancefloor
impact with robust personality. In 'Second Skin', the Belgian artist is eager
for resolution, keeping tension high with the bold analog sound he's known
for. Coming eye to eye with the label's sound, Phara pays homage to Token
while fiercely defending years of artistic direction - layering the label's
astral ambiance with his unstoppable movement. 'Second Skin' sets Phara's
intentions clear. The titletrack rolls forward like heavy machinery with what
seems like shifting vocals breathing life into the stereo image. This first
cut is a gold standard of peaktime production, creating a sense of purpose at
the core of urgency. Claps and rides boom and whip around the track that lumbers
on with chord stabs to add soul to flare. 'The Ring', however, takes the
listener into another direction. Heavily centered on the drum sequence with a
sharp slap-back delay, Phara plays with resonance, sparking psychosis amongst
movement. Playful in the short term, 'The Ring' proves to be an
ultra-hypnotic track reserved for a set's high intensity stretches on an
already surrendered dancefloor. Taking this energy and pulling it in, 'Neon'
comes to establish a bit more intimacy at first. Here, the producer diffuses
his elements into themselves and, in turn, creates a thick ambiance that
drives the record forward in space and dissonance. 'Neon' is inquisitive and
almost spiritual in its effect, playing with the line between a unified
dancefloor and an introspective journey. The conclusion to the EP is 'Blood',
a return to dryer production - at least in the beginning. Ambient, almost
psychedelic synth work sucks in the listener over unwavering energy to create
a closing track worthy of its name. Rolling through to the end, 'Blood'
delivers the final blow to an insatiable record on Token by Phara |

Belgian
singer-songwriter Emma Hessels releases her debut EP 'Constant Distance' on
October 24 via Unday Records. With a voice that lingers long after the song
has ended and lyrics that feel like pages torn from a diary, Hessels has
quickly carved out her place in the Belgian scene. She was named laureate of
Sound Track in 2023, went on to play intimate yet arresting sets at Ancienne
Belgique, Botanique, and the prestigious Cirque Royal, and appeared at Best
Kept Secret this summer. Milestones that signaled the arrival of a singular
new voice in folk and soul. 'Constant Distance' gathers six songs bound by a
recurring undercurrent: the presence of distance in its many forms - absence,
longing, loneliness, the fear of loss, but also the desire for belonging. The
songs weren't conceived around a single theme, but when brought together, a
pattern revealed itself. Loss implies distance, longing implies distance,
even love can. Yet the EP closes on 'Breaking', a gospel-tinged anthem of
connection and alignment, written during a women's writer's retreat where
community and music became inseparable. Musically, 'Constant Distance' moves
between folk and soul, carrying the feel of modern blues and occasionally
leaning into gospel's call-and-response. The atmosphere is warm and
nostalgic, drawing inspiration from Laura Marling, Damien Rice and Big Thief
as much as from Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone and Richie Havens. Emma's voice
remains the constant thread: soulful, unforced, quietly commanding. "I
hope my songs can be like a warm blanket, something that keeps you company,
that makes you feel a little less alone." Though written solo on guitar,
often during long train rides, the songs expanded into layered productions
through collaboration with Aram Santy, Nard Houdmeyers and Fender Mackenson
Rooms, with additional contributions such as Marthe van Droogenbroeck's
evocative trumpet. Recorded over two intense days at Studio Beertje, the EP
captures both intimacy and expansiveness. The result is music that carries
the weight of Emma's fears and questions, but also the joy of collective
creation. With 'Constant Distance', Emma Hessels doesn't just deliver a debut
- she opens a world where fragility and strength coexist, and where music
becomes a way of closing the gap between people |

Wie
in het voorjaar van 2025 het voorrecht had om de theatertour van Het Zesde
Metaal bij te wonen, kon daar op de koop toe genieten van een handvol
gloednieuwe songs. En daarna vaststellen dat die helaas nergens te
(her)beluisteren waren.
zou
j'ons geen tiene willen geven? / asteblieft, want anders is den directeur
vies.'

After Brummel
001, the baddest boys from Roffa town strike back with Brummel 002. This
time, it's an EP from Nathan Homan that delves deeper into the sonic forest
than the previous release. On the flip, you'll find a track made by Nathan
Homan and Mathijs Smit over six years ago. Some say Nathan bought a 303 and
went straight to Mathijs' place with the machine in hand. The afternoon
passed, and Apoih was born |

Four
years on from their landmark Grassroots, visionary half-time heavyweights The
Untouchables return with their third album, Lost Knowledge. The duo of Kate
McGill and Ajit 'Nitrox' Steyns have carved out a space in modern D&B all
their own, building on a legacy that reaches back to the late 00s to keep
pushing into unexplored terrain with an assured and deadly line in rhythmic
intrigue and atmospheric immersion. Lost Knowledge launches into action
instantly with the high-pressure drum science and dubby splashes of 'Drunken
Bells', capturing the loopy techno propulsion and rolling intensity that
drives so much of the output on Samurai Music. Where The Untouchables excel
is in finding variety and nuance in their relatively forbidding, pared down sound.
The heads-down groove of 'Mafia Town' owes as much to dembow and dancehall as
D&B, while 'Lost Knowledge' spirals out into psychoactive flurries of
synth strafes and organic percussion slathered in tight-locked delay trails.
There's no light relief from strident hooks or riffs, just a pure,
unshakeable commitment to the power of the beat and deeply designed layers of
sound shaping out the space around. 'Busy Bones' makes space for carefully
deployed hints of pad tone while the snares snap out of the mix with a sharp
set of teeth. 'Four Eared Demon' baits the gabber crowd with its rapid-fire
4/4 hats atop seasick creaks across the midrange, keeping subtlety and
patience in the lower frequencies to maintain the signature elegance readily
associated with The Untouchables. 'Phase Correlation' teases an artfully
unhinged ripple of synth that stands out amongst the murky murmurs filling
out the middle distance, but it's still exercised with brutal precision.
Nothing happens by accident or feels out of place - McGill and Steyns are in
total control, and they demonstrate incredible range and inventive approaches
within their focused style. The accent of the grooves shifts, and individual
sounds carry all kinds of artefacts, yet everything gets folded into the
exacting Untouchables sound with a liberal dubwise sensibility. Brimming with
inspiration and immaculately produced, on Lost Knowledge their one-of-a-kind
sound is stronger than ever |

Sublunar
is thrilled to announce its next release: Kashpitzky's powerful new EP,
Steampunk. Affiliated with esteemed labels such as Blueprint, Be As One, and
Token, Kashpitzky proves once again why he is one of the most exciting
artists in today's techno landscape. With Steampunk, he delivers a set of
tracks that showcase not only his signature sound design and unique energy,
but also his ability to craft music that feels timeless. The journey opens
with Aborted, where intricate grooves and striking sound design merge into a
truly distinctive piece, setting the tone for the record. Erath follows with
a muscular and driving character, powered by a vocal that drops at key
moments to amplify its raw energy. On the flip side, Steampunk offers a
minimal yet highly effective groove, a versatile track built to work in any
context. Code 2 pushes deeper into hypnotic territory a perfect fusion of
modern textures and classic sensibilities that leaves a lasting impression.
Closing the record is Last Day On Earth, an evocative outro where vocals and
sounds echoing another era bring the journey to a haunting and memorable
conclusion |

Perc
returns to Perc Trax for his first full EP since the release of his Resident
Advisor recommended album 'The Cut Off' in March 2024. Across the three
tracks of 'Soft Launch' Perc sets out his current sound, a groove led take on
classic techno with the depth of production and unexpected twists that Perc's
tracks are famous for. Title track 'Soft Launch' is based around the
interplay between the three main elements of the track, the driving kick
& bass, cut up percussion loops and the ever building string chords,
creating something unique that has been a key track in Perc's sets since it
was completed. 'Tonight' sits somewhere between pulsing electro and gritty
lo-fi techno, constantly pushing forward as a female vocal breaks through the
wall of percussion demanding to hear something fresh. Finally 'Gravity Drop'
pushes the sound design further, mixing a crisp industrial kick drum groove
with cut up atmospheric melodic and vocal elements creating a psychedelic
dreamlike atmosphere to close the EP. Packaged in a full colour sleeve
designed by Perc Trax design god Jonny Costello, Perc's Soft Launch is a
statement of Perc Trax's future both sonically and visually |
