Slam
collaborate with Hector Oaks, 999999999, Keith Tucker (AKA Optic Nerve),
Amelie Lens, Rebekah, AnD & Perc, for a new five part Soma Records
project LOUDER THAN CHAOS. On March 2020 the world was abruptly thrown into
collective disarray. The Pandemic stopped almost everything dead in its
tracks. No social gatherings, self isolation, a sense of panic and
bewilderment prevailed. An industry that had become so dependent on human
connection and unity, was suddenly switched off and put on pause for an
unforeseeable future. It was in this climate that The Louder Than Chaos
project was born, facilitated by Soma Records head honchos and techno
protagonists Slam. A collaborative project with friends, colleagues and
contemporaries normally only seen at airports, or events, now brought
together under a completely different set of circumstances, allowing for a
purposeful connection in a time of disconnect. The focus of the project is
built on a powerful mutual participation, remotely constructed over time and
fully intended for holding court on peak time dance floors when they
inevitably return. That time has now finally come. The Louder Than Chaos
project is a series of 5 releases, on 12 vinyl" & Digital, to be
released monthly via Soma Records. Featuring collaborations between Slam
& Hector Oaks, Slam & 999999999 Slam & Keith Tucker (AKA Optic
Nerve), + more to follow. Each EP features specially commissioned artwork

the Japanese jazz scene from modern jazz to free jazz, recorded this album
during a temporary return to Japan in 1975 after relocating to the United
States in 1971. He reunited with former Freedom Unity bandmates Akira
Ishikawa, Takeru Muraoka, Hiromasa Suzuki, and Kunimitsu Inaba to craft this
exceptional recording. From the sharp and driving “Shrimp Dance,” the dynamic

budget-blowing racket: Fourteen Rhythm & Beat Greats. Originally released
over 40 years ago and reissued twice by Big Beat Records, the album is back
once again for another spin around the turntable. Despite its tongue-in-cheek
title, this record barrels through 14 rough-cut rock 'n' roll stompers, laced
with the group's signature ramshackle energy. From the opening rasp of `SEVEN

celebrates a decade of sonic exploration with a 13-track compilation
showcasing its signature tension, technical discipline, and stylistic
spectrum. Reuniting a tight circle of artists whose contributions have helped
shape the label, the release offers an unrelenting sequence of pressure,
mental twists, and textural collisions; a multifaceted snapshot of techno's
enduring capacity to evolve, disturb, and seduce. The compilation resists
uniformity. Instead, it thrives on contrast: tension versus release, density
against spaciousness, rhythm in all its permutations. From high-energy
metallic openers and dub-inflected body rollers, to disorienting, delay-heavy
experiments and stripped-back percussive tools, each contribution reveals a
unique grip on groove and detail. Some tracks move like engineered machines:
sharp, robotic, and syncopated to surgical precision. Others embrace
sensuality and unpredictability, exploring spatial motion, layered harmonic
friction, and states of controlled chaos. Each piece acts as a structural
component in a larger sonic architecture, where tension is built, collapsed,
and rebuilt. Friction becomes a form of choreography. Across the record, a
shifting palette of emotional mechanisms takes form; granular and magnetic,
haunting and quietly forceful, restrained, then disruptive. More than a
retrospective, SK_eleven's first compilation becomes a collective gesture

Debut
album by Cindy is aptly called I'm Cindy. Produced by Kai Hugo a.k.a.
Palmbomen II. Who exactly is Cindy? If producer Kai Hugo used oblique
strategies it would be this question that's been central to his past four
years of musical output. First appearing on his 2015 LP Palmbomen II as the
titular subject of the track Cindy Savalas, her life has become intertwined
with the producer's. "Following that release, I made a music video for
Cindy Savalas, where Cindy came to life through the portrayal by Blue LoLan,'
Hugo explains. 'I really felt a connection with this character and went
deeper into developing who she was and the world she lived in. The result was
the creation of the LP Memories Of Cindy, where my goal was to reveal more
about Carmel Vista, the town Cindy lived in. Afterwards, I imagined Cindy
having her own 'lost' album, as if she had once released a record that was
kind of forgotten.' I'm Cindy is altogether different though. It sits at an
uncommonly explored intersection between Italo disco and shoegaze - Cocteau
Twins and Slowdive are mentioned as influences and you can hear that in the
blurred textures and hazy synths of the 13 tracks here. But Hugo also revels
in a chance to use his self-created character as a conduit to explore his
love of both mainstream pop and its more skewed forms. In many ways the
record is as much LoL?n's. It was she who gave the character her voice -
initially across 27 tracks recorded with the producer - but her own
connection to Cindy runs deeper than that. 'It makes me really nostalgic
thinking about everything Cindy went through, she and I have similar
feelings' says the vocalist. 'Cindy is a mix of me and Kai so when I listen
to the album I feel like I'm half entering Kai's head and half in mine, with
a whole bunch of deep emotions, purity and loneliness that just makes me want
to dance and cuddle with all my cats in a disco forest somewhere outside of
Carmel Vista.' |

hardware and live artist Peryl provides an analytical yet deeply instinctive
view on music. It reflects the duality between flow and restraint, between
self-exploration and the healthy act of setting limits. At its core lies a
certain nonchalance - a refusal to act on voices and trends while maintaining
full commitment to sound itself. Meticulous sound design, unpredictable,
morphing basslines and an intentional timeless aesthetic offer a rare window
into Peryl's creative state of mind. Even as he tries to sidestep personal

celebrate the 20th anniversary, Collabs 3000: Metalism, the original classic
pure techno album and first full-length collaboration between techno
innovators Chris Liebing and Speedy J, is remastered and reissued via
NovaMute. Originally launched by Speedy J (aka Jochem Paap) as a platform for
12" collaborations with other artists, the Collabs series laid the
groundwork for what would become one of techno's most compelling
partnerships. The first release with Chris Liebing, Collabs 300 (featuring
'Trick_' / 'Treflon_'), landed in 2004 to a rapturous response; its
machine-funk intensity and unmistakable breakdowns helped define the sound of
early 2000s techno whilst revealing a writing and production chemistry that
demanded a larger playground for their work. That creative spark ultimately
manifested in Collabs 3000: Metalism, a landmark record for techno. Combining
the pair's mastery of subversive electronics and peak-time techno, the album
remains a career highlight for both artists: a smouldering collision of taut
techno rhythms, sonic abstraction, and, as the title suggests, robust
metallic beats. The 20th anniversary edition of this timeless techno
masterpiece has been fully remastered by Liebing himself and is available on
CD and for the first time on vinyl across 2 discs |

this October. NYC House legend Harry Romero and respected Paris DJ, producer,
and sound designer Samaran step up to remix Radio Slave and Kameelah Waheed’s
‘All Rize’, arriving via the label 24th October 2025. Originally released in
May ‘25, ‘All Rize’ was dubbed a ‘perfect moment’ tune by Mano Le Tough, with
support from the likes of Bradley Zero, Call Super, Sean Johnston, and more.
“Glad to be working a lot closer with Radio Slave on his label and projects.
It’s just one of those brands that put out quality. So before I even heard
what I was asked to remix for Matt, my answer was yes. My idea was to put a
completely di?erent twist on the original and make a new version that was
peak time. So glad I took a chance!” - Harry Romero. “I wanted to create a
darker club vibe for All Rize, adding another bassline, just keeping the
vocal elements that have a strong character and some percussion to keep some
organic groove to it. The idea was to keepa minimal idea as the original and

reissue of the mythical Open Sky Unit (1974) by the eponymous jazz fusion
group featuring Micheline and Jacques Pelzer, Steve Houben, Ron Wilson, Janot
Buchem and Michel Graillier. The album returns on vinyl, highlighting a
pivotal moment in Belgian jazz history, where soul, funk, and free
improvisation came together in a vibrant and family-driven project. Formed in
the early 1970s as a homage to Dave Liebman's group Open Sky, Open Sky Unit
grew out of informal jam sessions in Liège, Belgium, into a unique
collective. One of the central figures was Jacques Pelzer, father of drummer
and vocalist Micheline Pelzer, alongside his second cousin,
saxophonist/flutist Steve Houben, bass player Janot Buchem, percussionist
Michel Graillier and American pianist/composer Ron Wilson. Their 1974 debut
album was released on the Duchesne classical music label, run by Pelzer's
brother-in-law. The group's sound carefully balanced jazz and soul and was
largely directed by Wilson, a Californian pianist and singer who settled in
Liège and nearby Maastricht after his army service. Wilson composed the
entire repertoire. Open Sky Unit was recorded live at Jazzland club in Liège,
and the band made several short tours in Belgium and abroad (including
Tunisia) until around 1975-1976, when Houben left for Boston to study at the
Berklee College of Music. Although the original live recording from 1974 was
not technically perfect, the group succeeded in capturing their heartfelt
live energy. Tracks such as Open Sky, Sunshine Star, and Passion and
Compassion are striking examples of this. Years later, the album version of
Sunshine Star found its way onto Funky Chicken (2014), the compilation that
not only brought the track back into the spotlight but also marked the
beginning of Sdban Records. In addition to the standard reissue, a limited
edition of 200 copies will be released for collectors, featuring a 7"
single of Ron Wilson's Sunshine Star as a special bonus. This single was
originally released in 1973 with the acoustic version of Sunshine Star (piano
and vocals) on the B-side, recorded a few months before the longer jazz-funk
version later featured on the LP Open Sky Unit. The A-side, Peace Is The
Answer, was only released on that single at the time and is now being
reissued for the very first time. The 7" is thus a faithful and
long-awaited reissue of a rare piece of Belgian jazz history, it's intimate,
soulful, and an ideal complement to theexisting and well-known LP. Although
the band never achieved a major international breakthrough, they were highly
valued in progressive European jazz circles and later secured a place in
anthologies such as Utopic Cities: Progressive Jazz in Belgium 1968-1979. The

Rotterdam's
Bright Message Records' second release is the highly anticipated 12-inch
vinyl "KING INNA THE RING," produced by Imperial Sound Army. The
title refers to the powerful vocal version, sung by UK-based King Stanley,
which immediately creates the impression of a true anthem and a strong
tribute to Jah Rastafari. The vocal version is paired with a dub cut that
strongly emphasizes this element of praise. The way this dub connects the
A-side and B-side of the record, reveals both Dan-I's years of experience as
a soundsystem selector and excellent production skills. The B-side contains
the fantastic melody version "TROMBONE INNA THE RING." With an
unexpected intro and upfull vibes, Matic Horns shows he grooves like no one
does and keeps the melody tuff till the end. The final track is a dub of
Matic's melody version, in which Dan-I explores the full depth of his riddim.
"King Inna The Ring" is a versatile record that captivates from

and a cohesive deep-dive, the expansive VA lands on 24th October 2025. The
fourth edition of SHDW's flagship 'Federation Of Rytm' VA series has been
carefully curated by the DJ/producer and head honcho over more than a year,
with close attention to detail given to sequencing. It is a balance of label
regulars and debutants that represents the past, present, and future, both
sonically and through the generational diversity of the artists involved.
There are plenty of surprises along the way while always remaining true to
the Mutual Rytm ethos and reflecting the journey of the night from start to
finish, whether that's in intimate, sweaty clubs or on big festival stages.

the dancefloor and fine-tuning the selection. Each comes from artists I
deeply admire, making this compilation a snapshot of the label's evolution

of the Mutual Rytm sound. Driving grooves and relentless percussion set the
pace, gradually unfolding into hypnotic and atmospheric passages that invite
deeper immersion. Pulsating low-end power alternates with eerie minimalism,
while bursts of futuristic energy and cavernous kick drums keep the tension

Since the early 00s Juan Rico has been applying his exacting vision to the
deeper end of dance music culture. As Reeko, he's carved out an imposing
presence in the modern techno scene by building up the steely, hard-hitting
sound of Mental Disorder while also contributing to scene-leading labels like
Modularz, Semantica and Delsin. With a trio of releases through 2024 for
Samurai Music, the Spanish producer demonstrated the wider scope of his craft
as he opened up to broken rhythms, spacious arrangements and a wholly
diferent dimension to his music-making |
