For
Haven's sixth release in their main series co-head Keepsakes returns to the
label with his first EP of 2019 and a new, slower direction for his sound.
Following on from a busy touring schedule in the previous year and well
received EPs on Haven, "Modern Anxious Vernacular" takes a
different approach to Keepsakes' crunchy and vigorous tones, opting to
explore slower tempos while maintaining his signature character in an
environment of ever increasing BPMs. The A1 begins the EP with "Seep",
throwing mind-shattering kicks, eerie vocal atmospheres and shuffling hi-hats
at the listener before striking with a hectic staccato synth line at the
halfway mark in a highly effective slow-mo banger. The BPMs decrease further
still in the A2 on "State Of It", which utilises effective,
stepping drum programming and left-field hypnotising synth work to create a
more unusual and melodic ambiance. The B-side kicks off with "Hovel Of
Scum", delivering a dynamic percussion loop and crushing kick drum
before introducing creepy synth lines and sampling work to reintroduce a
ghostly mood. Finally, the EP is closed with "Selfies Are For The
Weak", a slowed-down rolling broken-beat workout based around an
ear-worm vocal sample and delay-heavy percussion, ending this new sonic
expedition in Keepsakes' musical world |

continue their string of dance-floor focused weaponry in 2022 with an EP from
Evar Records and Craigie Knowes signee Wheez-ie. The A1 launches the release
with familiar territory for the LA-based producer on "Stolen
Moments" - with in-your-face rave vocals, wild synth spits and acid hits
combining in a wild breakbeat banger. The pace continues in to straight up
4-4 territory on the A2 with "Fire Drill", where charging drum work
and unruly synthesiser design swing alongside delinquent bleeps and bloops in
this chaotic rave techno offering. On the flip the B1 keeps the energy up
with "Guttermouth" - another boisterous slab of wonky techno full
of unpredictable beeps, rave stabs, and frisky drum rhythms guaranteed to provide
those "WTF?!" moments in the club. The B2 closes the record with a
remix of the B1 from Berlin-based American producer False Witness, who
transforms the track in to a nimble four-to-the-floor assault combining
creepy atmospheres, stepping bass synth and whooping vocal hits in another
club-ready slammer |

Arriving
on There Is Love On You, following killer releases from Posthuman, Denham
Audio and Saturday Night Rush, comes a sci-fi soaked five-tracker spanning
headsy techno, proggytrance and chugging ethereal noise from 'Us' founder
Desire, who heads the project that aims to 'shine the light on queer people'
through releases and mixes. 'Express Self Love' sounds much like the
expression of ecstasy. Spacey atmospheric and ear-wriggle acid lines meet in
a dimly lit room with dark techno, electro and trance for a proper headsdown
affair. 'Dernier Souffle' is a cut of contemporary progressiveness being
championed by labels such as Kalahari Oyster Cult and Butter Side Up -
minimal, malfunctioning and dubbed-out goodness. 'Keep Moving' maintains a
meaty bassline that threatens to overflow at almost every turn - moments of
celestial high-ends emotional transfixation sparkle amongst the
tough-as-nails techno - before 'Incisiveness' follows up with what might be
the fun-loving twin of its predecessor; a cut of peak moment, intellectual
techno-trance. The tempo comes down on 'Voyage Infini'; a chugging cut of
transcendental synthwave best played as the sun is just coming up |

Bogota
born and raised DJ and producer Nicolas Duque has been lighting up the scene
following a string of VA contributions and his perfect pop-tinged UKG debut
EP on Breaks 'N' Pieces. Since then Duque has gone on to release music that
flirts with nostalgia and contemporary electronics on Dansu Discs, Magic
Carpet and Limousine Dream sublabel Nug-Net, merging house with various UK
flavours. Now he makes his debut on Situ-888 with a futuristic four track EP
demonstrating his fluidity between genres, this time opting for 4/4 kick
drums and pleasure-seeking bleeps. The sound of swinging hi-hats and classic
bass notes churn as the record starts to spin, before distant electronics and
crowd roaring grooves take hold in opening track 'Ritmos Contundentes'. 'The
Unforbidden Track' is the perfect follow up, this time introducing acidic
leads and festival ready chords brimming with warmth and light. The Aptly
titled 'Ting-a-ling' opens the B-side in a playful mood, with optimistic
melodies racing at full steam ahead. The record comes to a close with

While it's been 6 years since
Dark Thoughts since last released a record, the worlds has gone to shit but
for 16 minutes, Dark Thoughts drag you back into the sun. We couldn't be
happier and excited to help release their fourth LP (the always killer Stupid
Bag Records will take care of the vinyl in the US). Dark Thoughts mean
everything to me, this is punk with one boot in 1978 and the other in
tomorrow. They have the perfect knack of writing perfect 2 minute punk gems.
Whilst Jim's lyrics can be deeply personal, there is always hope, things are
gonna get better aren't they? "Everybody falls off the rails, for a
little while", absolutely. The songs touch on friendship, love, loyalty,
dealing with grief. But more importantly hope. They blitz through 11 songs on
Highway to the End in 16 minutes, but hey, you can just lift the needle and
start again. Like all the best records. As with every record, Amy steals it,
"ok stay where you are, we're gonna do one more". Fall back in love

Thrice's Horizons/West completes
the arc begun with 2021's Horizons/East, pairing introspective songwriting
with sweeping, self-produced arrangements. Engineered by guitarist Teppei
Teranishi and mixed by Scott Evans, the album tempers rhythmic complexity
with atmosphere and space. Teranishi calls it "less dense," while
vocalist Dustin Kensrue describes it as their first true sequel _ two halves
of a larger emotional and political vision. Blending the post-rock textures
of Beggars and Major/Minor with the angular drive of Horizons/East, Thrice
refine their sound without sacrificing nuance. Kensrue's voice shifts from
whisper to roar across meditations on memory, perception, and social
influence. The band urge listeners not to adopt beliefs, but to examine them.

the 'Cats Whiskers Club' located in Burnley. This gig was absolute mayhem and
saw the band being forced from the stage due to flying glasses and bottles.
It wasn't long after Carl quit the band. 1982 saw the return of Potential
Threat, this time fronted by Pauline on vocals, Fos on bass, Les on lead and
Keith on drums. This line up saw the band release their debut 7" 'Whats
So Great Britain'. A second single was planned but shortly before the band
were due to record, the drummer left, a replacement drummer was brought in
and the band went into 'Revolution Studio's' and made the recording which
never got released, the recording of the 2nd single was captured on videotape
however. 1984 saw more line up changes with Les and Keith departing and new
members being recruited, these being Andy on bass and Shaun on drums, Fos now
switching to lead and Pauline still doing vocals. This line up of the band
signed to 'Cor' records and released their 2nd 7" titled 'Brainwashed'.
However it wasn't long before even more line up changes. Finally at last
after at least a dozen drummers and numerous guitarists the band finally got
together a line up which lasted for 3 years. The band recorded their debut
album "Demand An Alternative" on Conflicts 'Mortarhate' label and
it was released in 1985. A second album was also recorded for release on the
'Mortarhate' label but this was never released. .1987 saw the band release a
track 'Blood Money' on a split 7" E.P. put out by a German record label.
( Recordrom Records ) Shortly after the above label released the LP that had
been recorded for 'Mortarhate' label a few years earlier, this LP was titled
"Never Again". The last and most consistent line up of the group
was Pauline on vocals, Fos on guitar, Langy on bass and Ersy on drums. From
this last band line up 2 members are still currently involved in
recording/gigging. Fos recently joined up with "Mad Kenny" from Blackburn
band the Original Mushrooms and started the band "Urban Valley
Chickens" and Ersy is still playing and recording with Blackburn Punk
band Boredom U.K. |

April 13, 2019 Record Day, Vega Records celebrates with the new release “My
Body” performed by none other than the Legend and King R&B, soul singer
Luther Vandross. This is a song that was never released and was recorded back
in 1979 by Luther Vandross when he was working on the collossal album “Never
Too Much”. Brought to Louie Vega by artist and renowned background singer to
the greats Mr. Fonzi Thornton, Vega was able to work on the immaculate sounds
of Vandross. As Vega recalls “When I put up the tracks in my studio it
sounded as if Luther were singing today, it made it so easy to come with the
house grooves having such a perfect vocal performance and one of a kind tone.
Once I came with the music, I felt I needed to bring in his original background
singers, the A-team, which Fonzi organized in a flash. He called upon the
genius singers Brenda White, Lisa Fischer, Cindy Mizelle, Tawatha Agee and of

- Meganika Breaks EP. A collection of earlier and newer works by LFU combined
in one EP. On November 14, 2025 !K7 Records released DJ-Kicks by Eris Drew.
She chose 'Oh Echt' by LFU as the opening track of her mix. The style of 'Oh
Echt' is not easy to categorize. Electronic breakbeats with Detroit hi-hat
patterns and a typically pushy four-to-the-floor kick. The funky, staccato
bassline and mysterious strings take you back to the eighties and the added
funky organs and stabs complete the story. The "Oh Echt" Main Mix
is the instrumental mix of the 'Vogel Mix' in which the 'Oh Echtapella' is
incorporated. The first design of 'Boom Boom Tracking' was in 2011 for a
DJ/DRUM performance that LFU did. He picked it up again in 2014, but did not finish
it until 2024. This big beat floor filler contains chemical beats accompanied
by electrostabs and a deep, dark bassline. If you listen intently to this
song on a regular audio device, you might notice a thump on every 1 of the 4
beats, but when it's played on a good, big sound system, you can't miss this
tension in your stomach. 'Boom Boom Tracking' it is! Downtempo percussive
track 'Tjeetje' is the first track LFU has made in North Coast Studio in
2001. 'Slow Forward' was the third song he completed there in 2003, the same
place where he met Ben Baan of Fruitcake, who played the piano part.
Initially, 'Queen Cubana' did not make it as a remix of Eddy Zoey's 'No Soy
Cubano' in 2017. In this new version, LFU removed his vocals, except for
"Step". LFU took inspiration from Katy Perry's 'Bon Appetit' and
turned it into a rhythmic slow jam with carefully programmed beats, resulting
in a spectacular funky joint |

MEKANIKAS is back with the third instalment of the ANTIKHRIST VISIONS saga.
This release is particularly symbolic: it’s the ninth in the catalogue,
marked by the infernal numerology that runs right through the whole series.
It’s a descent into a sonic underworld, where noise becomes ritual and
pleasure is just pure agony. The artist tasked with opening this new chapter
of the saga is the mighty Óscar Mulero, an essential figure on the national
electronic scene and one of our biggest international ambassadors, whose
career has left a deep mark on contemporary music. Here, with Faceless, he
delves into dark, precise, and devastating electro territory; a spiritual
machine that dictates the pulse of chaos. Next up, we’ve got Pressurized
Modulator with Reddrum: hard, crunchy, industrial electro, absolutely buzzing
with electrical tension and twisted sonic matter. Closing out the A-side is
Jacko Volvone (aka Hoax Believers) with Quieren Cerrar Las Fábricas: a track
that expertly blends electro, techno, and post-punk echoes, resulting in a
tense, distorted, and combative sound, like a working-class echo shouting
from the abyss. Flipping over, the B-side opens with Hanging Nuts (made up of
Waje Martín, Fake Robotik, and Ruben Montesco). They unleash a murky descent
of filthy, distorted, primal electro, slashed through with guitars and raw,
guttural vocals: a genuine chant from beyond the grave. The second cut marks
the debut of Techselektah & Phil Fork with Champagne No Potable: a raging
street anthem packed with fury, energy, and social criticism, where Spanish
vocals emerge amidst EBM structures that have that ‘80s spirit, reinterpreted
with today’s raw edge. And the big finish is down to HBK1 alongside Rigor
Mortis, with Instinto Caníbal: a full-on explosion of electro-industrial and
EBM that awakens the body’s most primitive urges. Antikhrist Visions Vol. III
is a sonic summoning from the lands of Hades: ritualistic matter, organic
sound, and primal force. A testament to pleasure and torment Tormento do

Samurai
Music heralds a new seam of spacious, rhythmically curious exploration with
the launch of the Saibai sub label, opened in mesmerising fashion by Brendon
Moeller. The overarching premise of Saibai is to nurture a more delicate,
meditative inversion of Samurai's physical, dense sound, leaning less on the
dynamics of the dancefloor while holding true to the intricate drum play and
dubby principles that bind the label's sound together. In this open-eared,
inquisitive environment, Moeller is the perfect fit as an artist with decades
of diverse offerings across all kinds of dubwise manifestations. On SAIBAI1,
the US-based, South Africa-born producer stretches out with a live-sounding
drum palette and exquisitely rendered synth work loaded with detail,
character and organic flourishes. It's a light-footed approach with plenty of
air flowing through the mix, but there's considerable weight in every notch
of the production, not least the imposing channels of sub bass coursing

create a dreamlike soundscape perfect for the dancefloor and headphones
alike. B1 - Invisible Borders: No ASC album would be complete without an amen
workout, and we certainly have that here as Invisible Borders rushes into
view with simmering intent, melodic samples tore from battlegrounds of yesteryear
providing a truly epic atmosphere, rippling breakbeat trickery teasing the
listener before crushing full contact amens arrive with panache and veracity
- twisted across yearning bass with an unflinching fighting spirit. B2 -
Celestial Bodies: Up next a moment of calm as we soak up the charms of the
dreamlike Celestial Bodies, a soothing journey of beats, breaks and
atmosphere from Spatial's label head. Melodic notes ripple across the mix
with old school breaks filtering to and fro, conjuring images of a cosmic
journey unfolding, where old school breakbeat rhythms pulse like distant
constellations, echoes shimmering in the vast expanse of ASC's versatility.
C1 - Losing Track Of Time: Into an absolute stunner next as ASC unleashes a
modern classic which has a wonderfully instant familiarity to it - like it
was lifted directly from the golden era of atmospheric drum & bass. The
