After many years of steady work Bristol-based artist JoeFarr
created a well-respected profile on his own, He is now joining the label
showing a side of his works that many never saw probably, and others always
knew but never saw on a record. Development always takes time, and time is
nothing when the art comes out in his true form. This is 'Dedicate' an very
important record that represent something deeper than a peace of wax, label
boss Emmanuel took the big responsibility to remix the title track and make
his own view of JoeFarr's dedication |

'A Taste Of The Heart'
comes from the mind of Tim Tama, a young artist that developed his skills in
a very early stage and refined it until he reached now a bigger level of
audience, now is the time for the artist to shine fully and without filters.
His music is a high sonical expression of a lot of emotions: Love, Passion,
Fight, Conflict, Reality... and many other things are connected to it. The
debut is a clear expression of an artist that doesn't want to lock himself in
one category or another, rather he tries to question this and leave you with
no exact placement, but a very straight and direct emotional attachment. Say
welcome to your new solid family member. Tim Tama is here |

Infectious. Vibrant. Diverse. All of these are perfect
descriptors of Bert H's debut album "All About." This freshman
album for the Moscow based producer showcases his incredibly vast love of all
sounds and styles of drum and bass, and gives a dramatic glimpse into just
what he is "All About" as a producer. His collaborations with local
producer High N Sick as well as Monrroe and Silence Groove shine with
influences from all parties involved. Rounding out the album nicely is a set
of powerful remixes from heavyweights such as Bop, Seba, The Vanguard
Project, and Command Strange. Bert H's "All About" is available in
Vinyl, Digital, and CD format this October on Fokuz Recordings |

Clark’s latest film score is for 'We Bury the Dead', the Daisy
Ridley (Star Wars) starring feature film. Limited to 500 copies for the world
on colour within colour vinyl. Stunning artwork. "Anchored by Daisy
Ridley's magnetic performance and a grimly inventive premise, We Bury the
Dead keenly uses familiar zombie tropes as a framework to deliver a
beautifully shot, emotionally resonant meditation on loss and grief” – Rotten
Tomatoes 84%. Set in Tasmania and offering a fresh take on the zombie genre.
Clark reveals the films emotional heart with tender strings and choral
recordings, whilst underpinning with glorious bass sounds that could be taken
straight from recent studio album Steep Stims. Plus the occasional requisite
jump scare, pin drop tension and vocal eeriness |

Daphni’s
fourth studio album Butterfly - to be released on 6 February 2026 – at first
picks up where his last album, 2022’s Cherry (“Bar for bar, this might be the
most fun there is to be had on a dance record this year” - 8.2 ‘Best New
Music’ Pitchfork), left off. At the start of this summer, following a
three-year hiatus for Daphni (punctuated only by his first ever collaborative
Daphni track ‘Unidos’ alongside Sofia Kourtesis), he dropped ‘Sad Piano
House’. The track represented something of a continuation in the Daphni
catalogue, its roots growing from Cherry’s ‘Cloudy’ and its subsequent Kelbin
remix, something in that song’s makeup having a profound effect when played
on dancefloors by Snaith and countless others. ‘Sad Piano House’ deployed
more intangibly irresistible bendy piano to equally satisfying effect and
continues to achieve similarly rhapsodic dancefloor saturation. Though a
sizeable gap for Daphni releases, between Cherry and Butterfly however of
course sits Honey, the latest Caribou album and one that saw the more
instantaneous and dancefloor leaning traits of Daphni peaking through the
cracks more than ever before. This blurring of the lines leads to an
intriguing collaboration in Butterfly’s lead single ‘Waiting So Long (feat.
Caribou)’. An unlikely duo - in that both artists are the same man, Dan
Snaith - ‘Waiting So Long’ is not so much an identity crisis, ego trip, or
the result of a chemical spill in the Snaith laboratory. It’s simply a track
that Snaith felt for the first time belongs to both aliases, and might appeal
to fans of both. He has never sung on a Daphni track before, and did not set
out with the intention to do so this time, and yet this strange billing was
born. Daphni music has always been Snaith’s way of hitting directly to the
core of the dancefloors he spends so much of his time playing to, and those
dancefloors have been steadily expanding as his name grows, with the music
following suit. This album however also draws from further back with a
definite kinship to the very first Daphni album, the invigorating bag of
ideas that was Jiaolong. Butterfly is a showcase of the wonderful variety and
surprising twists and turns that made that album such an exciting new
prospect and that still to this day make Snaith such an intriguing DJ. There
are more heavy hitters here, tracks that fill those dancefloors better than
anyone, like ‘Clap Your Hands’ which picks up the energy of ‘Sad Piano House’
and flips it, exposing the gritty and intoxicating underbelly of Snaith’s
hitmaking side, while retaining the playful urgency that runs through all of
his work of late. Meanwhile ‘Hang’’s comic-strip horns are unpinned by
gleeful force, unrelenting and thrillingly unshakeable. Elsewhere though
comes a clutch of other tunes that might creep out somewhere more off the
beaten path, a path Snaith has never stopped seeking in amongst his larger
billings. ‘Lucky’ is squirmy and elusively intoxicating, ‘Invention’ skitters
down meandering, inviting corridors, ‘Talk To Me’ grumbles and broods in the
murk, and ‘Miles Smiles’ could roll on endlessly, so confident in its groove.
There are no obvious peaks in these tracks or unifying moments, in fact many
of them really have no business being on the dancefloor at all, and yet in the
right setting, they could be the most fun to be had all night. One such club
is a good microcosm for the ethos of Butterfly as a whole. “Around the time I
was finishing up this album I played a long set in a club called Open Ground
in Wuppertal, Germany.” Snaith recalls, “It’s kind of, in one sense, the
platonic ideal of the kind of club I’d want to play in. Every single decision
has been taken, at great expense, with the aim of making the perfect sounding
medium sized club room. But on top of it being the perfect acoustic
environment it also is run by an amazing collection of people in a way that
gives it a sense of community that dance music at its best provides. It is an
absolute pleasure to play in that room to a crowd of people who come from all
over. Playing in there you feel like you can play anything, and I played
works in progress of pretty much every track on this album in my set there.
Don’t get me wrong, I love playing a short set at a festival or in a more raw
warehouse kind of club where you bang it out and only really functional music
works but on record I guess the point of these Daphni records is to keep in
mind a more expansive idea of dance music where the parameters are broad and
the church is broad. I think that actually, putting really functional stuff
next to weirder tracks (both on an album and in a dj set) might be the thing
that’s still most interesting to me.” This is the feeling that’s most
palpable on Butterfly, and in every single time you see Snaith DJ. Right from
the inception of the Daphni alias - and even before that – the thrill of
trying stuff out, pushing at the boundaries has always been there and on
Butterfly is present in all its twists and turns. It leaps all over the place
and yet it hangs together, never feeling like a grab bag of dancefloor
utilities but rather a distillation of all the strings to Snaith’s bow,
exhilaratingly human and unified by one singular concept – simple and joyful
exploration |

Those who play close attention to the DJ sets of Kieran Hebden
aka Four Tet will have heard 'Human Voice', the lead cut from his latest
self-released 12". Hebden has been reported been playing it in his own
sets for two years, with rips of the track from set recordings periodically
popping up online. Those clips are a touch misleading, as they include other
elements from the ongoing DJ mix. 'Human Voice' is still a top-tier treat
ythough, with Hebden cannily combining rolling, tech-tinged deep house drums
and hissing cymbal patterns with woozy ambient chords, tech-tinged
electronics and short spoken-word samples. Flipside 'T246 130ish Electribe
Plaits' sees Hebden go deeper and more atmospheric, wrapping IDM and 90s
ambient sounds around a minimalistic groove |

Founded
in 1992 by the larger than life, Scottish punk-rock poet laureate, Mr. Paul
McKenzie, this merry band of miscreants has spent a quarter-century
circumnavigating the globe to bring the McKenzies gospel to an ever-expanding
throng of rebels and scallywags. There arent many bands that can boast of a
threedecade long year career as staggeringly adventurous, wildly tempestuous,
and utterly death-defying as The Real McKenzies. Their list of accolades is
long. From sharing the stage with the likes of Rancid, Metallica, and Shane
McGowan to appearing in film, books, and video games. Float Me Boat is the
ultimate collection of kilt-twisting classics from The Real Mckenzies;
comprised of 23 rousing refrains that perfectly encapsulate their 30 years as
a band. From charttopping staples like "Chip," "The
Tempest," and "Drink Some More," to more recent favorites
"Big Foot Steps" and "Due West," The Real McKenzies have
compiled an anthology as legendary as Robert Burns himself. Whether you're a
McKenzie lifer or new to the game, these anthemic songs are sure to have you
stomping your feet and hoisting a glass |

Four tracks from the band from Carbondale, Illinois, which has

combining good melodies and anthemic sing-alongs. The Copyrights have long

own trademark sound, which is definitely not based on stagnation. As good and

The Galileo 7, featuring the
songs of Allan Crockford, formerly base player of UK garage heroes The
Prisoners who paved the ground in the 80s for the British baggy scene and 90s
Britpop, is a sonic sensation combining the flash and power of freakbeat with
the harmonies of baroque psych, power pop, and a dash of swirling
psychedelia. In collaboration with the band, Busy Bee have picked the best of
the best and made this wonderful compilation of Galileo 7-nuggets that will
truly blow your mind. 2025 |

Quartet
Records, in collaboration with GDM and Universal Music Publishing Italia,
presents our first 7inch single with the premiere release of Teo Usuelli's
infectious score for Marco Ferreri's cult film from 1969 DILLINGER E' MORTO,
starring Michel Piccoli, Anita Pallenberg and Annie Girardot. The story is a
darkly satiric blend of fantasy and reality. It follows a bored, alienated
man over the course of one summer night in his home. Teo Usuelli -who had
previously scored five films for Ferriri, and they would work together again
on two more films- provided the contagious song "La luce accesa",
performed by the Nora Orlandi choir. On the flip side, it includes the other
original track written for the film: the groovy and experimental "Cheiro
Cores". These are the only two cues written by the composer for the
film, since the rest are classical pieces and pop songs that come from the
radio, source music, and various cues taken from Ennio Morricone's score for
AD OGNI COSTO. "La luce accesa" has another version performed by
Lucio Dalla that couldn't be included here due to rights issues. These two
tracks by Teo Usuelli were previously included in the LP "Canzoni, Cori,

their first album in decades.
Revived through the same chain of events that sparked Thee Headcoats' return,
the four original members Ludella Black, Kyra LaRubia, Bongo Debbie and Holly
Golightly reunited to record 14 tracks that capture the bite and brilliance
of their 1990s heyday. Recorded at Ranscombe Studios in Rochester with Thee
Headcoats on rhythm duties and Billy Childish producing, Man-Trap blends
sharp new originals with choice covers. The result is a record that stands
proudly alongside their classic albums fierce, witty, and unapologetically

"Irritating Post Punk New
Wave Kraut Disco Trash Duo from Switzerland in Glitter Tights and Spandex
Wigs with obscure and high potential Dancing Beats and and songs that stick
in your brain like chewing gum". It's their fith' full lenght amd second
for VVR! THE GREAT ART OF REDUCTION: BLIND BUTCHER is an abstract m
artists/musicians duo from Lucerne, Switzerland. They wear glittery leggings
and hide their faces behind a fluorescent spandex curtain. Their aesthetic
and clothing are designed by Corinne Odermatt, but above all, they impress
with their music, which, when experienced live, never ceases to amaze and
leaves you perplexed. Like two obscure creatures from another galaxy, they
drive their disco beats through the room or, as here, onto the groove of a
vinyl record. This second production for Voodoo Rhythm was recorded at the
renowned Swamp Land Studio in Toulouse, France, with Lo Spider (Destination
Lonely and mastered in Detroit by Bill Skibbe at Third Man Mastering |

35th
Anniversary Edition of Peacefrog - 2LP Smokey Vinyl. Born and raised in the
birthplace of House Music, Paul Johnson was known for his raw, soulful, and
infectious sound, that helped shape Chicago's house scene and inspired
generations of DJs worldwide in particular he was a massive inspiration to
Daft Punk and the 'French Touch' scene. Releasing a vast amount of music
throughout the 1990s for some of the most consistently underground dance
labels including legendary Chicago imprints Cajual, Relief and Dance Mania he
finally gained global fame with his 1999 hit “Get Get Down,” a dancefloor
anthem that topped charts across Europe. Despite facing physical challenges,
including losing both legs in accidents, he remained an unstoppable force in
music—touring, producing, and uplifting others with his resilient spirit and
signature groove. Originally released in 1996 Feel The Music was Paul's
second album for Peacefrog Records. Containing some of the classiest house
music to hail from the Windy City. Classics such A Little Suntin Suntin ,
Summer Heat and I Wonder Why will have you smiling while you’re jackin’ and
the irresistible and infectious Hear The Music was fthe opening track for
Daft Punks legendary Radio 1 Essential Mix |

After dominating the Gonerfest
stage in Memphis last year, and right on time for their appearance at
Funtastic Dracula Carnival in Spain ANGEL FACE is back with their second
album. Tokyo, Japan has bred many a band that takes rock n' roll into the
stratosphere in ways that no other country can touch. And the proof is in
these grooves as Fink (of TEENGENERATE), Hercules, Toyozo and Rayco once
again show us how it's done in a way only they can pull off. Halo melting
rock n' roll with attitude and more hooks than a pirate convention |

Spanning a period of 35 years,
this ONSLAUGHT compilation is an essential addition to any thrash metal fan's
record collection! Onslaught are a British thrash metal band from Bristol,
England, active from 1982 to 1991 and again since 2005. The band initially
drew influence from US and British hardcore punk bands such as Discharge and
The Exploited, and then adopted a straightforward thrash metal sound. They
have been recognised as pioneers of the British thrash metal scene, and have
been referred to as one of the country's so-called "big four",
along with Sabbat, Xentrix and Acid Reign |

Horny
Tears From Hell' combines a fusion of sounds from ominous genres that collide
together in a dark, hauntingly endearing manner. Hard rock escalating
electrocuted riffs slide you back onto your childhood sofa, Guitar-Hero
guitar resting on your chest as you hear your pal play 'Through The Fire And
Flames' on expert difficulty. Doomy metal aesthetics avalanche you into
sweaty, hilariously middle-aged death pits at your local black facaded
headbanger joint. Setting up camp in O'tool Studio just outside of Berlin,
Wax Legs bugged out to create something that seeks musical integrity. Keeping
some natural amp hums and hisses whilst adding eerie noises from worlds we
don't want to find |

LIMITED ANNIVERSARY
EDITION". 180g yellow marble vinyl . Waits' third album is arguably the
pinnacle of his early beatnik barfly persona. Taking a different approach to
his more mannered previous albums, the 1975 LP was recorded live in a pseudo
small club setup. It's jazzy and deceptively loose and boozy, though Tom
knows exactly what he's doing, whether delivering jokey banter or vividly
narrative songs like Spare Parts and Putnam County |

The Empire Strikes deliver their
fifth album. Ten tracks, just like its 2024 predecessor, "Motell
Scandinavia" (Ghost Highway Recordings) on "Vol. 5" they've
maintaining the basic pillars of rock: two guitars, bass, drums, and vocals.
Oh, and keyboards. Despite this, "Vol. 5" doesn't lack sonic
grandeur, but it's true value, as it is on their songs on each track
harmonies and emotion are combined with electrifying guitar riffs. The
success and identity of The Empire Strikes are their ability to perfectly
balance all these elements on each song. Results is a handful of brilliant
songs that rank among the best in the band's discography |

Ale
Hop is an artist, researcher, and experimental instrumentalist. She composes
electronic and electroacoustic music, by blending strains of noise, pop,
avant-garde, ambient and a complex repertoire of extended techniques for
electric guitar and real-time sampling devices which she uses as her sound
vocabulary to craft a performance of astonishing physical intensity,
saturated of layers of distortion and stunning atmospheres. "The Life of
Insects" is her fourth studio album. The composer began to craft the
album "The Life of Insects" after spending one month living with
different types of insects in her home studio, which she bought from a local
insect dealer in Berlin and built little terrariums to record them for the
sound design of a film she was working on. Nonetheless, the album is not
comprised of compositions based specifically on sound recordings of the
insects, but it unfolds as an imagined world recomposed through speculated
narrative and abstract elements that seek to portray their lives, assembling
sounding stories that could be re-constructed in the mind of the active
listener. For this purpose, the artist came up with a musical language that
could hold this fictional universe, comprised principally of several layers
and textures of guitars that mimic environmental and atmospheric sounds.
"The Life of Insects" is released through Buh Records in limited LP
vinyl edition of 300 copies |

- Ambient Trip Commander - official soundtrack to the 2022 animation film. 2
x 12inch [printed cover/printed inlay]. This 2 x 12-inch vinyl release is a
reissue of the original soundtrack to the animated feature Ambient Trip
Commander. With a running time of 70 minutes, the soundtrack was first
performed as a live synthesizer improvisation by Danny Wolfers (Legowelt) at
the film's premiere on May 28, 2022, at EYE Filmmuseum. Wolfers continued to
perform the soundtrack live at numerous subsequent screenings before
releasing it on cassette on August 4, 2023. The 2026 vinyl reissue presents
the compositions in four parts, aiming to put weight on the listening
experience as a cohesive album. Ambient Trip Commander is a hand-drawn and
painted feature-length animated film by Danny Wolfers (Legowelt), marking his
first feature in the medium. The animation brings Wolfers' paintings to life
through frame-by-frame watercolor techniques. The production process spanned
eighteen months. The film follows Samantha Tapferstern, a geeky young woman
who works a mundane job at a synthesizer store in a medium-sized European
city. She spends her nights playing RPGs and browsing dating apps. One day,
she receives a train ticket and a cryptic message from a hacker group
inviting her to Lonetal, a secluded village deep in the European Alps. As she
boards the night train, a sinister adventure begins to unfold |

Horus Records was founded in 2013
by Will Dorey (Skinshape) and Ben Bell, born from their shared obsession with
vintage Jamaican music. Initially a reissue label spotlighting rare reggae,
it has since become a home for original studio recordings informed by
enduring 60s and 70s Jamaican reggae and dub traditions. The pair have been
making music together for over twenty years, and their history within the
scene has led to ongoing collaborations with respected Jamaican musicians.
Those connections carry into this analogue reggae/dub studio album, featuring
guest vocal contributions from Andy Platts, Modou Touré and Winston Reedy.
The record fuses original compositions with thoughtful reinterpretations
including a reggae reworking of the 'Interstellar' theme. Away from
production, Ben Bell co-runs Lion Vibes, one of London's key reggae
specialist shops, while Skinshape continues to develop his distinctive
cross-genre approach spanning funk, psych, soul and beyond from the same
studio where the album was created |

Acclaimed
producer, DJ, and dancefloor healer Octo Octa (Maya Bouldry-Morrison)
announces her fourth full-length album, Sigils For Survival. Following 2013's
Between Two Selves, 2017's Where Are We Going?, and 2019's Resonant Body, the
new record marks a decade since Maya publicly came out as transgender in
November 2015. "As an autobiographical artist, I set out to write an
album that would be a milestone for this past decade of joy and sorrow,"
Maya explains. "Sigils For Survival is my attempt to encapsulate the
intentions and techniques that I used to move through life into a
spell." For each of the record's eight tracks, Maya drew a sigil. Each
is a personal symbol intended to "bind magic to the song and seal its
intention." These drawings appear throughout the physical edition's
design. Maya's sister, New York artist Hope Morrison, incorporated each sigil
into her original paintings, which comprise the album's vivid artwork. Hope
Morrison, whose imagery translates the sigils' energy into vivid form; the
layout was designed by Jo?o Ervedosa. Created entirely on hardware
instruments and later mixed in Logic, Sigils For Survival captures the
tactile immediacy of live performance. Maya preserved the feel of MIDI-clock
drift and off-grid recording, letting her machines interact in the rhythmic
pocket, rather than confirming them to a click. Alongside her signature deep,
ecstatic electronics, the album features hand-played dulcimer, hand-pan, and
recorder. Her voice also returns, carrying spells of love, protection, and
transformation. Across Sigils For Survival, Octo Octa channels the ecstatic
house lineage into an intimate ritual space. The music speaks of immediacy,
play, and communion -- of magic as method, love as survival, and sound as
spellcraft. Sigils For Survival is both a document of ten years lived fully
and an invocation for the next chapter -- a glowing testament to music's
power to protect, transform, and set the spirit free |

Derailed Records x Planet Rhythm
return with a focused new EP from Milo Raad, hailing from Belgrade. This
release sees Derailed adding its own VVS edge to the vinyl saga. Tougher,
more direct, and forward thinking. The tracks are stripped back but intentional,
designed to lock you in rather than overwhelm. Don't get it twisted though:
there's still plenty of depth here, the kind you can lose yourself in if you
let it run. '' I Want VVS's More Than Ever '' Artwork: Studio ANTM /

2026
generic sleeve repress - French DJ/producer Mathys Lenne's artistic vision is
rooted in his deep connection to rhythm. Telling stories with his sounds
while drawing inspiration from poetry and cinema and blending hypnotic
textures with raw intensity, his music is widely supported across the scene
via labels like Mord, Hayes and more. Across five vinyl cuts and three
digital bonuses, the four-deck wizard keeps it deeply atmospheric with his
label debut on SHDW's Mutual Rytm imprint, combining elements of psychedelic
rock, unique voice samples and saturated synths to create a sound that feels
immersive and unrestrained in contrast to the fast-paced, visceral techno he
has become known for. 'Detlev' opens up with hefty kicks that demand you
quicken your step, while industrial effects and creepy design brings the
detail that makes the track pop. The classy 'Natural Born Killers' rides on
firm kicks with loopy percussive details tightly coiled, ensuring you are
forever on edge as the drums march on. 'Choose Your Pill' is a stripped-back
and pulsing deep techno cut with deft synths that peel off the groove, before
'Untidy Echo' delivers a cavernous sound with sparse hits and low-end rumbles
that place you in the centre of an underground cavern. 'Enfer ou Ciel'
featuring D.E.S brings a sense of melancholy in the occasional string sounds
and watery droplets that float over more frictionless, meditative beats -
while the trio of digital bonus cuts brings moody subterranean rollers
ranging from snaking and dubby to more drum-led and eerie tones. Mathys Lenne
'Detlev' lands on Mutual Rytm on 2nd May 2025 |

2026
generic sleeve repress - French DJ and producer Hemka makes a striking solo
debut on Mutual Rytm with 'Introspection'. Born in Marseille and based in
Paris, Hemka has been shaping her take on techno for over a decade, steadily
growing her international presence with music on respected imprints such as
Token. Her music fuses the raw energy of 90s techno with modern textures and
is fast-paced, groovy and laced with subtle psychedelia. By weaving in her
own vocals, Hemka adds a deeply personal and authentic layer that resonates
with both the body and mind. Following the strong reception of her track
'Fragrance' on the 'Federation Of Rytm III' compilation, this potent new EP
is a powerful reflection of her bold, emotional and forward-thinking artistic
voice and the start of an exciting new chapter with SHDW's Mutual Rytm.
'Abyss' kicks off with tightly coiled, heavy-hitting drum funk and eerie
synths that never let up while ghoulish vocals layer in extra darkness and
anxiety. 'Time' is another sleek, stripped-back but banging wedge of linear
techno excellence and 'I Can't Shine' layers up paranoid vocals with
high-speed glitches and rubbery drums to ensure maximum impact in the club.
The excellence continues with 'The Bad Place' with booming drums and moody
synth atmospheres, getting you up on your toes and keeping you there. Last,
'Unchanged' fizzes with static electricity as wordless vocals refract around
the mix next to wispy synths and icy hi-hats. Digital bonus cuts 'Voice In My
Head' and 'Eternity' round things out with more heady and intense techno for
driving deep into the night |

2026
generic sleeve repress - Maltese talent Human Safari debuts on Mutual Rytm
with jazz-influenced techno EP, 'Culture Shock'. Human Safari is a key player
in his native scene in Malta. He's a resident at Glitch Festival, has played
cult spots, and has a dynamic sound that brings jazz improvisation to techno,
often featuring live instrumental elements. His music has found its place on
top labels like R&S Records, and most of this new EP for SHDW's Mutual
Rytm imprint was produced during his Colombian summer tour last year -
written and recorded amongst inspiring and unusual settings with just a
laptop and headphones. "This EP represents embracing new beginnings
that, though might bring uncertainty and fear, the light always guides you to
where you were always meant to be." - Human Safari. Opener 'Mouse on
Keys' has been a key cut for the label boss across the past year, a unique
track that peaks curiosity from dancers to DJs whenever it's played. Its
cantering techno rhythm is overlaid with delicate, heartfelt piano keys
straight from a smoky jazz bar, making for a great counter to the physical
drums. 'Fragments' is a deeply
personal track dedicated to the artist's late grandfather. It's a funky,
soulful techno roller with blissed-out and sunny chords full of hope. Next,
'Classique' gets more gritty with loopy drums and bass and glitchy percussion
that fizzes with energy, while 'The Labyrinth' features piano motifs recorded
in just one take. It brings a dark paranoia in the uneasy, off-grid keys
which dart about with nervous energy over the booming low ends. There is just
as much intensity and edge to the unresolved keys that loop over the raw
drums on 'A Rainy Day in Bogota', before digital bonus cuts 'Dorian' and
'Phantom' bring more jazzed out techno madness with warped keys and
expressive elements bringing great invention |

Returning
with his first artist album in 13 years, revered techno innovator Mike Parker
continues to shape out his explorations around 170 with his latest work for
Samurai Music, Echo Disintegrator. Transcending genre lines with his
unmistakable sonic stamp, the seasoned US producer crafts an extended trip
through his exacting, lithe frequencies and brutalist rhythms. As evidenced
on recent EPs Envenomations and Sabre-Tooth, Parker can comfortably slip into
a hard-stepping D&B structure and make it his own. 'Earth Energy
Imbalance' leaps forth with precision and purpose, wrapping atonal synth
shapes around the stark beat in staggering high definition. 'Positronic
Tentacles' finds a similar rolling momentum, even threading ruthlessly
trimmed vocal snatches into the lyrical pulse of the lead tones. 'Radiative
Force' teases its own mutant funk out of the envelopes shaping the molten
sonics coursing through the middle of the frequency range. Elsewhere, Parker
explores a variety of accented grooves around typical D&B tempos,
remaining reliably broken while dipping into half-time space on 'Lunar
Nocturne' and finding a low-slung swagger in the carefully deployed pressure
of 'Ghost Rain' and 'Echo Disintegrator'. 'Beat Activator' pivots on a dense
bed of bass with a crooked, off-beat slant before 'Dragon Bravo' casts a
similarly dembow-informed beat into a dense tapestry of cyclical machine
shrieks and snarls. There is a ruthless consistency to Parker's approach
across Echo Disintegrator, riding the loops without flinching and forcing the
focus deep into the minutae of every sonic element. Both brilliantly
functional and profoundly subtle, there's a visceral, physical quality to the
sound design that makes it a listening experience like no other |

Following
a huge wave of global support since its digital debut, ‘Edge Of Desire’ from
Jonas Blue & Malive finally lands on 12" vinyl. A fitting format for
one of the most talked-about house records of the past twelve months. Since
its release in July 2025, ‘Edge Of Desire’ has become a genuine streaming and
club phenomenon. The sun-drenched house cut built on shimmering guitar riffs,
bubbling synths and an irresistible vocal hook quickly took on a life of its
own, topping Beatport Overall Chart and spending weeks in the Top 10 while
racking up 100 million streams worldwide and over 100,000 global radio plays.
From major playlists to festival stages, the track’s uplifting energy has
made it a staple for selectors and listeners alike, with early DJ support
from tastemakers including Adriatique, Adam Ten and Carlita. Now, ahead of
summer 2026, the record arrives on a special 12" vinyl edition bringing
together the original alongside standout reinterpretations from some of house
music’s most respected names. Dutch favourite Franky Rizardo delivers a
groove-heavy club workout, Florida legends Jazz-N-Groove add their
unmistakable soulful house touch, while Grigoré & Serve Cold transform
the track into a deep, rolling dancefloor weapon. With the original
continuing to dominate playlists and dancefloors around the world, the vinyl
release of ‘Edge Of Desire’ feels perfectly timed. Ready to soundtrack
open-air sets, beach parties and late-night club moments throughout the
season. For DJs, collectors and house music fans alike, this pressing
captures the record at the peak of its momentum: a modern Defected anthem
finally given the wax treatment it deserves |

Doubting
all the time. Fearing all the time. Our Darkness descends upon Dark Entries
with a reissue of Anne Clark’s epochal proto-house masterpiece from 1984. As
a young poet, Clark found herself drawn to London’s emerging punk scene. She
became acquainted with Psychic TV affiliate David Harrow, with whom she would
collaborate on 1983’s Changing Places and 1984’s Joined Up Writing. “Our
Darkness,” off the latter album, was released as a single on Ink Records that
same year, and became an underground club hit. It’s a singular piece of
music: Clark’s lyrics, delivered with equal parts muscular confidence and
unease, speak of urban alienation and heartbreak, while Harrow’s production
pummels the listener with hydraulic beats and gloom-laced arpeggios. The
song’s spirit would prove influential on both the early Chicago house and
Detroit techno scenes, where mechanistic funk and existential despair could
catalyse dancefloor mayhem. This reissue offers three versions of “Our
Darkness”: the original 12” remix, the Razormaid mix, and a previously
unreleased dub version uncovered by David Harrow. Also included is the
extended mix of “Sleeper in Metropolis,” another dancefloor hit of Clark’s,
as well as the elegiac “Poem for a Nuclear Romance.” The record includes an
insert with liner notes and lyrics. “Our Darkness” channels timeless longing
and contemporary dismay, a classic overdue for a little light shed upon it |

Foundations
Records brings you their hotly anticipated third release from Sonar's Ghost
on Rinse Out EP - a bold four-tracker of breakbeat jungle, atmospheric jungle
and jungle-tekno. Sonar's Ghost. Starting out DJing in the peak hardcore era
of 1992, Dominic Stanton rose as a post-hip-hop and ragga kid, cutting his
teeth at free parties across the Shires. Drawn into the new directions of
hardcore and jungle, he earned early gigs at the legendary Sanctuary, Milton
Keynes, performing as Dom-unique. Learning the art of beat-chopping on the
Amiga 500, Dom landed his first release on Reinforced Records in 1995 and
continued releasing into the 2000s as Static Imprints and Sonar Circle.
Inspired by Dego and the evolving trajectory of 4hero, Dom began moving into
more unexplored territory, producing eclectic, soulful beats under the name
Domu. After a brief hiatus, Sonar's Ghost was born - an outlet to explore the
years Sonar Circle missed, from 1991 to 1995. Creating alternate journeys
through that era, Sonar's Ghost reimagines the original sound palette using
original sources, new blends of beats, and a lifetime of musical influence.
For Dom, Sonar's Ghost is his happy place. The Foundations release blends the
eras and directions Dom loves most - from '93 bouncy darkside through to '03
drum funk - with authentic drums and samples integral to the vibe. Here's the
support on radio: - Makossa (Radio FM4 Vienna) - Distant Planet (Infrared FM)

Chronicle
continues his journey through the cosmos on Spatial bringing a stunning array
of inspired atmospheric bliss with Aqua Pura. A1 - Pure Alchemy: Chronicle
opens his latest EP for Spatial with a sprightly track, introduced with
purposeful synthwork, echoing effects and a wonderful 808 bassline
reminiscent of the late 90's Progression Sessions era. Energetic, layered
breaks drive and build throughout Pure Alchemy with joyous vigor, while a
cluster of subtle melodies intertwine across a varied and memorable mix from
the label regular. A2 - Endless Ocean: Next up Chronicle treats us to an
amazing array of atmospheric synthwork with Endless Ocean, notes yoyoing
across the soundscape through a gorgeous intro. Flecked with shimmering,
buoyant melodies and bringing an immediate injection of pace, the breaks drop
delivering a driving, distinctively head-nodding energy punctuated by a
blippy micro melody and suitably deep bass. AA1 - Shared Consciousness:
Opening with a playful intro featuring subtle hi hats, twisted bells and a
classic film sample, Chronicle deftly juggles excitable effects with his
inimitable cheery atmospheric style before a real feast for the ears and the
feet arrives - breaks reminiscent of those long lost nights at Shepherd's Bush
in 1998 bring an essential hypnotic energy to a track simply dripping with
style and rhythm. AA2 - Water World: Straight into the action with crisp
two-step breaks, Water World needs no introduction as a myriad of atmospheric
effects, samples and quirky melodies seize your attention for a decidedly
dancefloor-friendly track for 160bpm heads. Beautiful breakdowns play their
part as well as the subtle yet room-filling 808 bass, rumbling persistently
beneath another remarkable track from one of Bristol's finest |

Formed
in Southend in the late 90’s, Beatglider’s tale is a familiar one taking in
early acclaim only for momentum and promise to be dashed by major label
statis and indifference. After the release of the debut long-player, ‘40 Days
Of Summer’, in 1999 the band signed to Sony subsidiary Lakota and decamped to
LA to record its follow-up, ‘Dreaming Of Roads’, an album that was never to
see the light of day. And now, over 20 years later, ‘Dreaming Of Roads’
eventually gets a deserved release on 28th February via the Arlen label. A
beautiful 11-track understated delight which musically falls somewhere
between the likes of Elliott Smith, Grandaddy, Yo La Tengo and Sparklehorse,
the album has not only stood the test of time, but arguably sounds as fresh
as ever in 2026. The tale of the album, as told by Beatglider: We were
sitting by the pool at our Oakwood Apartments, sipping beer as the mid
afternoon sun blazed down, palm trees and Hollywood hills on the horizon when
a Jesus-like figure dressed head to toe in white casually strolled over to us
and introduced himself...”Hi, I’m Tom, welcome to L.A”. This still resonates
as the most ridiculously surreal moment in Beatglider's short musical
“career”. It felt a million miles from
the faded seaside glamour of our hometown of Southend-on-Sea but here we
were, guests at the home studio of Tom Rothrock of Beck & Elliott Smith
fame to record our second album ‘Dreaming of Roads’. For some context..
Beatglider released an album, 40 Days of Summer on a small Leicester based
label in 1999 and garnered some media attention & John Peel play. There
had been a handful of gigs with a lot of the Chemikal Underground bands - The
Delgados, Arab Strap & Magoo - and this had attracted the attention of a
few labels, most were put off by our often-erratic live shows. We signed to
Lakota (a subsidiary of Sony) without them ever seeing us play live. Dreaming
of Roads was demoed in Leicester with Paul Warrener and then a few tracks
with Ken Thomas (Sigur Ros). A few producer names were thrown about (Roger
Moutenot & Kramer I remember) but Tom Rothrock liked what he heard and
was the man chosen. It seems fantastical now but we spent a month recording
the album at Sound City (where Rumours and Nevermind were tracked), rehearsed
in a room where David Crosby and The Beatles' names were scrawled on the
walls, met a hero in Elliott Smith at a downtown L.A party thrown by a member
of hardcore legends Circle Jerks and generally led a band life far beyond our
wildest dreams! The songs sounded great, although far more polished than
previous recordings and we’d toned down the ‘kitchen sink’ approach of our
earlier songs. We worked meticulously on parts, getting the max from the songs
and all chipping in on instrumentation and ideas. On the last night we all
sat in the studio, ate pizza while Tom got the bong out we and listened back
to album at full volume. Tom put on Elliott Smith ‘Angeles’ and we relaxed
and drank beer in the afterglow. This was perfect, we’d done well. This could
be our job... On return home we were worried we might have ‘overcooked’ the
songs, re-treading and re-recording to an extent we weren’t used to but in
hindsight the album has some of our best recordings and songs and it doesn’t
feel like it sounds 20 years old. During early 2003 we played gigs with
Sleepy Jackson, Simple Kid, American Analogue Set as we geared up for the
single release of ‘We Gotta Coast’ and then the album. We tried to hone the
live set for consistency but we were always slightly flaky about playing the
same songs every night and the shows were just a bit soulless. We soon
realised the album was never going to be released and it soon became
consigned to the vaults of the record company abyss(which has swallowed up
many a good album I’m sure). We all went back to our day jobs and continued
making music as a hobby as we’d always done. So this is the album Dreaming of
Roads, over 20 years on from its original inception. We were in our mid to
late 20s then and anything seemed possible, now we’re closer to 50 it’s
easier to appreciate what a special moment it was.A lot has moved on in our
lives in that time but we’re all still good mates and still making music.
We’re just happy Dreaming of Roads has found a home and finally ‘arrived’ |

If
you like bands who hit hard but still keep things weird and thoughtful,
Bruise Control are definitely worth a listen. Bruise Control are a loud-mouth
four-piece punk outfit from Manchester who’ve become a serious force in the
UK DIY scene. They’ve been carving their name with a ferocious energy, mixing
the raw aggression of ’80s hardcore with hooky, jagged indie riffs pulled
straight out of the early ’00s. Their new EP and extended physical release,
which they co-produced (by their guitarist Niall Griffin), really captures
that chaotic, live-wire feel — think shout-along choruses, gritty vocals, and
a jagged musical edge that somehow still feels melodic. On stage, Bruise
Control are notorious for bringing the party — wild shows, loose banter, and
a real sense of community. They’ve played at festivals like 2000Trees, The
Great Escape, Bearded Theory, Left Of The Dial and more, bringing their DIY
punk spirit to a big crowd. They’ve also hit up more intimate UK venues on
headlining tours, including shows at Green Door Store in Brighton, Rough
Trade in Nottingham, The Grace in London, and closing out their October 2025
run in Manchester at Soup. The band have also played shows with Amyl &
The Sniffers, Spiritual Cramp, Civic, Press Club and loads more. Their single
“Gone to Ground” landed just before that tour — "raw, urgent, and
emotionally honest — and it’s a great example of how they balance grit and
melody". - Punkinfocus |

The
unstoppable force that is MACEO PLEX launches new label ELLUM AUDIO with the
flawless ‘High & Sexy EP’, two cuts of criminally seductive house music,
immersed in moody soul, brooding funk and made to be together. It seems 2011
isn't showing any signs of winding down for artist of the moment Maceo
Plex. With an acclaimed album to
start off the year and a string of hit releases behind him, Maceo has risen
exponentially in a relatively short space of time. Many would be satisfied with releasing on
such acclaimed labels as Crosstown Rebels, Visionquest, Hot Creations, and
remixing artists ranging from Azari & III to DJ T but Maceo is going one
step further with an exciting new project that will surely cement his place
within the new elite of house artists. Maceo has decided it’s time to follow
in the steps of his Crosstown Rebels comrades and launch an imprint to
further represent his signature sexy dark house sound. By calling the label
ELLUM, Maceo is paying a fitting tribute to Deep Ellum, the name of an
underground arts district in Dallas that greatly influenced Maceo's early
career. Deep Ellum was a cultural zone
that had some amazing clubs and warehouse venues that housed parties in the
early 90s, bringing techno and house legends to Maceo's virtual doorstep and
launching the career of a young Eric Estornel aka Maceo Plex. The ‘High &
Sexy EP’, Maceo's first output on the label, is every bit as sexy and groovy
as his other musical works and has been eloquently described by long time
friend and fellow Miami expat, Danny Daze, as being "New Wave
House". Brandishing deep and dark alluring soul, A-side ‘Stay High Baby’
is undoubtedly one of Maceo’s sexiest tunes yet. With trademark raw emotion,
funk guitar licks and penetrating layers of vox in full affect, ‘Stay High
Baby’ is an ode to frisky liaisons on the dancefloor. On the flip ‘Ain’t That
Love’ packs a bit more punch in the drums but still exhibits Maceo’s
signature warm, dark bass and sexy groove. Again Maceo’s unique composition
awakens raw energy and drama through the distinctive vocals and cinematic
synths without forsaking the groove. Haunting and beautiful with notes of
sadness, love and loss, ‘Ain’t That Love’ will hypnotise Maceo lovers
worldwide. With a first release of this calibre and style, Ellum Audio is
already shaping up as a home for future classics of the ‘new wave’ |

four tracks of emotive, dusty and dub-infused dance floor heat. With the

Goosey
makes his Crosstown Rebels debut with ‘Wrapped Up In Your Love’, featuring
remixes from Daniel Steinberg. Out on 10th April 2026, the Barcelona-based
artist lands on Damian Lazarus’ imprint for the first time with a
vocal-driven house cut backed by two reworks from Berlin mainstay Steinberg.
A vocal-led slice of modern house lands on Crosstown Rebels as UK DJ/producer
Goosey makes his label debut with ‘Wrapped Up In Your Love’ on 10th April, a
record that channels a classic touch through a contemporary lens. Built
around slick drums, warm basslines, and an unmistakably uplifting vocal hook,
the track leans into the nature of the dancefloor while keeping its groove
firmly locked from start to finish. The original mix leads the release with
bright, feel-good energy, while the ‘Club Dub’ strips things back to the
track’s rhythmic core, letting the drums, bass, and melodic touches breathe
deeper into the groove. Berlin house mainstay and Arms & Legs co-owner
Daniel Steinberg then steps in on remix duties, delivering two
reinterpretations. His main remix sharpens the original’s hook with skippy
percussion and rich M1 organ stabs, while his ‘6AM’ remix stretches the
elements into deeper territory built for after-hours dancefloors |

Originally
released in 1980 on the mighty Trojan Records, "Black Ash Dub" is
today widely heralded as one of the finest dub collections of the era and
considered an essential addition to the collections of all serious fans of
the genre. Drum and bass reggae legends, Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespear,
are the featured strongholds of The Revolutionaries, a conglomeration of many
of reggae's finest studio musicians, brought together to create some of the
best dub of the late 70's. "Black Ash Dub" is a wonderful example
of the group at its peak. Sly's drumming prowess is at its best on this lp,
complete with his famous crash cymbals on the 4th beat in 4/4 time versus the
1st beat. His skills are legendary due in large part to the bass playing of
Robbie. His grooves are intense, yet very supple, and perfectly augment Sly's
grooves. Each track is a tribute to a drug; the 2 major club hits are
"Marijuana" and "Cocaine". All cut at the legendary
Channel One recording studio in Kingston and mixed by the genius touches of
dub masters Scientist and Prince Jammy. PRODUCED BY: Jah Thomas. RECORDED AT:
Channel One. MIXED BY: Prince Jammy, Scientist. [MUSICIANS] BASS: Robbie, "Flabba" DRUMS: Sly

synth craft, built on transportive grooves, and packed with rare levels of
universal emotion. Cortese are new school artists with an emotionally rich
mix of garage, breaks, and house. They head up their own Plaza Recordings
and, as well as appearing on Sasha’s LUZoSCURA compilation, they dropped
their 'All U Do' EP here in December 2024. Following gigs in support of
mainstays like Bicep and Mike Skinner, they now hook up with one of dance
music's most recognisable names. The result is 'One', a deep and heavenly
odyssey with warm, supple drums infused with subtle garage swing. Wordless
vocals bleed into the mix, heightening the sensuality, as the majestic arps
and shimmering chords light up the airwaves. It's an irresistible invitation
for the dance floor to take off on a wave of cautious hope and optimism
without ever losing sight of the grounding groove. On the flip and the fantastic
'U Disappear' is an Ibiza anthem in the making - the synths are widescreen
and sun-kissed, while the bass is dark and transportive. Balearic piano
chords ripple through the mix alongside arching pads and soft, wordless
vocals, lending a dreamy edge to what is a powerful track, both physically
and spiritually |

lands on NIX with a luscious helping of dancefloor readiness, brimming with
organic percussion and haptic beats scaffolded around provocative
naughty-stepping low end pressure. A relatively fresh character with a steady
output, truly in the midst of honing his niche of tight compositions with
wonderfully fast paced energy and playful phrasing, challenging banal
business-techno ideas with fresh effervescent sound design and a keen
understanding of how to shape a four to the floor beat into something
irresistibly groovy. Solid forward motion and attention to detail throughout
without over cooking the elements perfectly balanced to keep the body well
and truly electrified, providing the means to indulge in a fully twisted
dancefloor flowstate. This one will can tease even the most stoic of ravers
into a cheeky hip bump and leg pump. Opening up with a sleight of hand
roller, ‘Watering My Garden, Occasionally’ slides gracefully into pole
position with swathes of ambience floating atop a pressurized pump, alluring
to a sense of euphoria before whipping out the carpet beneath, revealing the
gargled inner workings of this jittery tool. The pump remains but it takes on
a more maleficent stance as the clouds disperse and sinister ticking gives
way to acid spiralations, plunging into the vortex of this hypnotic tunnel
rider. ‘Lift Me Up’ wastes no time in asserting its dominance with a no
silly-business approach to drum and bass sound design on a techno
sensibility. Jiggly low end underpins the groove as soft bells ring out
through the mist, hooking you into the trance as you sit perched at the
precipice, peering into the void as a sweaty tangle of disembodied limbs
extend from a club haze, snapping perfectly to the beat into impossible
positions, all the while battered by the unrelenting plump tubular motif. The
B side follows on with nothing less than a minimalistic masterpiece, ‘The
Silver Platter Strikes Again’ is an absolute bare bones roller at its most
raw and raucous, the skeletal rhythmic structure coasting effortlessly
through a spine-chilling, barren soundscape. Spooked out glass resonance
tubes, contained in a 4x4 chamber of unflinching snappy hi-hats, all ticking
away with micro flourishes to keep the groove moving, adding the most essential
swing whilst off kilter plonks dip in and out of the perpetual forward motion
of this after hours discombobulator. One final whip from the tail end,
‘Mezzema’ rings in for a final bout with those signature tight punchy kicks
still ever riding. Crumbling stairs unfurl beneath your feet as the unseen
beckons you forth into the final chamber. Low rolling toms form a naughty
groove beneath the frenetic, mesmerising tones that tiptoe throughout. High
end percussion is stripped right back in place of a deathly radioactive
crackle, just as it seems that all light is sucked into the void, the melodic
reprise resonates out into an open field of some space-facing goodness before
a sharp drop back into the darkness for the last leg of this ravers fever
dream. Toobris’ lurky atmospheres and rhythmic cadence are present throughout
as he grows his own breed of high end productions whilst paying homage to the
overarching sonic legacy of the techno continuum. Here we see him hit his
stride with meticulous sound design in a substantial package of focused
productions, further demonstrating his attention to detail and control over
the motions of the dance. -Words by Sam aka FoxMind |

producer and DJ Huxley return’s to Rekids with the ‘Pinball Skizzard’ EP,
arriving 10th April 2026. It follows last year’s ‘MIND G%MES’ EP, which
marked his debut on Radio Slave’s label and won support from artists
including Enzo Siragusa, Jennifer Loveless, Carista, and Laurent Garnier.
Active for over two decades, the Dumb Safari label boss has left his mark,
founding the online R Trybe community with Ramin Rezaie/BAKKIS, while
boasting label credits including Aus, 20/20 Vision, and collaborator Steve
Bug’s Poker Flat. Huxley opens the ‘Pinball Skizzard’ EP with ‘Pinball’,
setting the tone with a hefty House groove, anchored by cavernous bass, and
brought to life by old-school vocal touches and bright sax motifs that inject
warmth and energy into the mix. ‘Heaven’ follows with a buoyant rhythm,
pairing glowing chords and twinkling melodic details with deep, dubby low-end
pressure designed to keep bodies locked in motion. ‘Deep Down’ shifts into a
slinkier back-room groove, rich in atmosphere and soulful vocal fragments
that underline its timeless house feel. Closing track ‘Felix’ rounds things
out with a percussive roller built around vocal snippets and subtle tribal
accents, delivering a stripped-back but effective finale that fits neatly
within the Rekids aesthetic |

On
his sixth album, The Arc of Tension, the Berlin based DJ, label owner and
producer OLIVER KOLETZKI yet again presents his remarkable vision of
contemporary electronic music, while he assumes the role of a storyteller.
The Arc of Tension speaks to its listener as a singular, self contained work,
which communicates by way of its natural flow and arc of suspense. The latter
is mirrored not only in the multifarious narrative of the actual album, but
can also be understood as evidence for its creator's long musical history.
While Koletzki focussed on a diverse range of vocal collaborations on his
previous long players, he now moves on to a different form of storytelling,
rooted in the quiet confidence of a veteran musician, as well as the hectic
lifestyle of a globally in demand DJ. The Arc of Tension is the psychonautic
journey through the various continents of Oliver's consciousness. The quiet
chirps and warbles, which initially unfold on the opener 'A Tribe Called
Kotori', thus act as a loose associative bridge to 'Der Mückenschwarm',
Oliver's big breakthrough hit of 2005. The first minutes of the album leave
no room for doubt - we are immediately locked into an autobiographical world
of sound that knows how to captivate from the get go. The dreamy, exotic
timbres of the downbeat tracks 'By My Side', Tankwa Town' and 'Byron Bay'
penetrate our minds in a subtle yet purposeful manner. But soon the tension
tightens and organic sounds one by one evolve towards a sterner, electronic
cadence. The bittersweet neon synths of 'Spiritual Not Religious' pave the
way for the complex rhythm of 'A Star Called Akasha', an early highlight
carried by melancholic cellos and contemplative piano chords. The ultimate
turning point follows with 'Through the Darkness'. Here, at the album's
centre, Koletzki starts continuously upping the tempo and leads the way with
his very own, melodic interpretation of today's techno Zeitgeist, which he
has been shaping since 2015's 'Iyéwaye'. 'Planetarium', 'They Can't Hold Me
Back' and 'Chaturanga' exemplify, moreover, that a fusion of delicate
musicality and sheer force leads to impressively ecstatic results. With its
rough guitar chords and the acidic chitter of the TD303, 'Power to the
People' rings in The Arc of Tension's ending, until we fully take off into
space, weightlessly propelled by the ambient drones of 'The Day We Leave
Earth'. Ultimately, what lingers is the feeling that we are being granted a
deep glance into the innermost being of an outstanding artist |

Official re issue of this timeless classic featuring a fantastic
update from Australia's Late Nite Tuff Guy - Tuff Cut Records. Their version
has already had 62,000 plays on Soundcloud. In LNTG own words of how their
"No More War Rework" came around: About 6 months ago, just before I
set off on my 5 month tour of Europe I got a message from a good friend of
mine asking me if I would edit a track that he loves. I said of course, and
asked him what track. Turns out its a big favourite of mine also. 'Why Can't
We Live Together' by Timmy Thomas is an amazing song with a strong message
that is even more relevant today than it was back in 1972. The message is
clear, it's simple, it's beautiful. I'm saddened by recent events around the
world and I've always tried to spread love through music, because for me,
music is love. I hope you share the message and enjoy. LNTG <3 |

(incl.
tracks by Rene Wise, Red Rooms, Connor Wall, STIPP & Sandrien, Lindsey
Herbert, AgainstMe, Mal Hombre & Porteix) The Fuga compilation returns to
Token with its seventh installment by a fresh batch of artists emphasizing
the cryptic sound of the Belgian record label. The V/A displays urgency as
its focal point, expanding and contracting its acoustic space throughout to
channel instability. With eight contributions, Fuga VII sifts through nail
biting arpeggios, frenzied percussion, and obscure ambiance to recalibrate
techno's current soundscape. Opening the compilation is contemporary techno
mainstay Rene Wise with his debut contribution to the record label 'Rough
Rider'. In this A1, Wise plays to his strengths by blending deep techno influences
with hyper-focused rhythmic work. With a hint of tribalism, he conjures up
synthwork from far off to whip motion into heavy drum patterns. Following
this first track, STIPP and Sandrien take control in presenting 'Corrie', a
sequence-forward groover that slides through drum programing to streamline
rhythm. A shrill pad comes in at the halfway mark, completely lifting the
energy of 'Corrie' to strain the track's obscurity with an ethereal
counterweight. The brief passage of these kinds of elements provides a lot of
dynamic to what would otherwise be a powerfully straightforward piece. Diving
deeper, Red Rooms unveils 'Limited Sensory' as the next chapter of the
compilation. Always swift and exact, the German artist continues to push into
the ultra immersive with a web of elements that whiz by for a peaktime lock
in. Cold in attitude, Red Rooms tunnels through 'Limited Sensory' with quick
drumsand far-off percussive hits that rumble through the track. Stepping up
afterwards is Lindsey Herbert with 'Oscillations in Space' - an appropriately
named recording that experiments with mania as a tool for the dancefloor.
Fast and spiraling, Herbert keeps her hands on the arpeggio's filter to
contain tension through thunderous reverb transitions, balancing panic with
pace. AgainstMe then stretches out the followup with the commanding 'Phase
Shift' to double down on weight. Textural intimidation and stomping
percussion is given the space it needs to perform on heavy weight sound
systems, making it an austere middle point for Fuga. MAL HOMBRE then guides
the listener to more elastic sound design in 'Critical Velocity', in a most
appropriate Token fashion. Snowballing in intensity halfway through, MAL
HOMBRE pushes the cutoff of his melody and programs snare rolls for vintage
craze through the second section. Bells clash with ringing hats to fly the
track along its course without looking back or letting go. Conor Wall takes
control with 'The Strategy' that focuses on pace rather than melody,
weaponizing metallic texture for a deep dancefloor experience. The ambiance
does a lot of story telling here, marking breaks and riding through drops to
provide grit to an already substantial record. This leads us to the final
contribution in Fuga VII - 'Ad Libitum'. Here, Porteix emphasizes the
conclusion of the compilation with mystery. The synths slither around
pulsating rhythm, creating uninterrupted motion throughout the track's
entirety. Porteix draws the curtains on an inquisitive note, keeping the
suspense high until the next Fuga compilation comes around |

Portuguese
techno force Lewis Fautzi debuts under his own name on Mutual Rytm with
'Beneath The Surface'. Hailing from Barcelos, Portuguese maestro Lewis Fautzi
has carved out a formidable reputation through a run of uncompromising
releases and a sound rooted in tension, precision and raw power - exemplified
by his recent outing on the agenda-setting Hayes Collective. He has
previously established his fierce, potent sound on Soma, PoleGroup, Mord, and
a number of other influential labels, while also heading up Faut Section.
Having previously appeared on Mutual Rytm's Federation Of Rytm III
compilation under his Non Cyclic alias, he now steps out on SHDW's label with
a six-tracker busting full of impactful techno cuts. The heavily-requested
'Beneath The Surface' opens the EP with menacing low-end and tightly coiled
pressure that's released through simmering valves and hissing synths. 'The
Hollow Cycle' brings a loopy, tunnelling groove with a snaking lead and
snaking metallic percussion, while 'Inner Mechanism' keeps things dark, deep
and driving with a backlit glow that pulls you in. 'Nonlinear Form' is
streamlined deep techno that fizzes with texture, spraying chords and a
rumbling sub-bass, while closer 'Anamorph' rides meticulously designed broken
beats with an ever-present sense of bass-driven foreboding. For digital
purchasers, sparse and eerie bonus 'Surface' slams down with industrial
weight and real warehouse grit, shaping up another weighty offering for the label |
